Why We Should Talk About "Hit The Floor" Again!
Tumblr media
Hey everyone,
I know it might seem a bit strange to bring up a show that aired over 11 years ago, but I can’t help but gush about "Hit The Floor." After diving into seasons 1-3 and the wedding special, I've realized I've never encountered anything quite like it. The chemistry between Derek and Ahsha is unlike any other—so real and beautiful.
The fanfictions I’ve discovered about the Dersha characters have only deepened my love for the series. While the show has concluded, we all know reboots happen all the time! Just look at how McKinley continues to shine in "Reasonable Doubt," and Taylour Paige truly embodied Ahsha's genuine spirit.
Great art deserves to be discovered and celebrated, no matter when or how it finds its audience. When you present an epic love story so beautifully, people will naturally want more.
Imagine seeing Derek and Ahsha as a married couple in 2025, navigating family life and success together—it would be incredible! I even had some fun combining their pictures to illustrate this idea.
I hope both the actors and fellow fans can appreciate this enthusiasm for such a fantastic show. Let’s keep the conversation going!
Best,

The Adventures of Kinley and Tay Adventure 3: ALONE TIME
Okay. So I feel somewhat inspired to write again after watching re-runs of Hit the Floor and hoping for a miracle that the show would come back magically AND because I am so sick of trump and all of his trauma that he is unleashing on America. I want to also thank everyone for reading my other material and especially those that asked for me to continue. I apologize for the long, long, long wait. I hope this makes up. Thanks again.
Tumblr media
Tay decided to take the weekend and just reflect on her life. She didn’t open the blinds. She just sat in bed on her computer, and clicked on any movie she could find on her Fire Stick. Her plan was not to actually watch anything but to just spend the day by herself reflecting. She was in a relationship with a guy she loved, but something was still missing. As she flashed through clips of their show online, she came across a pic of their characters, Asha and Derek. Without realizing, she started to smile. She was running her fingers on the screen over his perfect body, reminiscing about the personal time they spent together. She tried to convince herself that she did not crave him, but she felt so different, so special in their encounters. She could not explain it, but it was not like anything she felt in her current relationship.
On the news earlier, the weatherman said there might be bad thunderstorms and some possible flooding coming to her area. She had checked the frig to see if she had enough food just in case she had to hunker down. Both, her frig and pantry were empty. She decided to quickly run to the store and grab some items to stock her apartment. As she drove to the store, which was close to Kinley’s crib, she changed her plans and drove to his apartment. She thought, “it’s mighty cheeky of me to just pop up unannounced,” but she felt the need to just see his face. She didn’t care if he had company, she wanted to be in his presence.
As she climbed the stairs and knocked on his door, she heard him ask, “Who is it?” She paused then said, “It’s Tay, are you alone? Is it a bad time? I was in the neighborhood, I can come back later.” She could hear the door unlocking and him undoing the chain quickly. Once the door was open, he looked down on her surprised, barefooted, bare chested, in a pair of basketball shorts, with his hands on his hips, puzzled. She just pushed her way in saying, “you’re probably wondering why I’m here.” She said, “don’t ask because I am not quite sure myself.” He extended his hand to the sofa and said, “Have a seat, what’s up?” She said, “my plan was to spend some time alone this weekend and I was on my way to the store and I completely just decided to drive over here.” The rain started to fall in the background. He said, “Well, you’re here, can I get you a drink or something?” She said, “I’ll take a glass of wine.” He fetched her a glass and sat close to her on the sofa, stretching out to get comfortable while he watched the tv screen, like he was accustomed to her just hanging at his place. He said, “You know . . . I was just about to jump in the shower before you came. I went downstairs, worked out, and am sweaty. If you don’t mind, I would like to take a quick shower; I know you can smell my funk.” She could, and she loved every whiff of his cologne-mingled sweat. It was actually turning her on. He got up, pulled his shorts off, and dropped them on the floor in front of her exposing his nude buttocks. He said teasingly as he walked off, “You’re welcome to join.” She was shocked and not expecting what had just happened. She tried to laugh it off saying, “No you didn’t” as he continued to walk into the bathroom. She was sitting there the entire time trying to keep her cool. What was a girl supposed to do?
She could hear the rain coming down harder. She tried to get what just happened off her mind by flipping through the newspaper he had on the coffee table, but she couldn’t calm down. The attraction was too strong. She kept telling herself, “I am in a loving relationship and my guy is all I need.” She heard the shower turn on and she took a deep breath and threw her head on the back of the couch. She thought, “I should just leave before I start something I might regret (but to be honest, she never regretted any of her encounters with Kinley). She finished off her wine and stood up to head to the door, and then she heard him singing, Kehlani’s “Down for You.” She just stood there contemplating, but hearing his voice and thinking about his body had her hypnotized and she needed to feel his touch. What was this spell he had over her?
She walked to the door, but it was not the door to exit the apartment, it was the door to the bathroom. She opened the door, unzipped her short romper and let it drop to the floor. The bathroom was steamy and hot. He was singing and lathering up as she watched. She ran her fingers through her hair and pinned it up. Kinley was so consumed with his singing; he did not realize she had come into the bathroom. His back was turned to her and his eyes were closed as he washed his face. She opened the glass door and stepped in sliding her hands around his waist to caress his manhood. Realizing she had joined him, he turned to rinse his face with a smile. Once the soap was off, he leaned to her and they engaged in a long passionate kiss. The water was hitting their bodies and the bathroom felt like it was getting hotter. As they were kissing, she was making sure to caress every inch of his muscles on his shoulders down to his buttocks as if she had never touched them before. She was hungry, but not for food. She had been longing to feel him in her once more. She broke free of his lips, she slid down maintaining her hands on his chest until she was on her knees facing his bulge. She was staring him in his eyes as she took his piece and placed it in her mouth. All he could do was lean his head back and place one hand on the shower wall and the other on the shower glass. She was pleasuring him like none before. She held his piece in one hand while she licked and sucked his sack. He moaned and groaned his pleasure loudly. He was trying to maintain his composure because he wanted to save it for later, so he pulled her head away, pulled her up to him and began kissing her hard again. He kissed the swallow of her neck and moved down to her breasts holding them with a firm grip then with a strong sucking. Just then, he lifted her, placing her legs on his shoulders so that he could enjoy the peach he had missed for a while now. He began to tongue and suck hard just as he did her breasts and she began to lose it calling out his name. She was moaning so loud, the neighbors probably heard her through the walls. He was going so hard and strong, her body became weak as she trembled, holding on to shower’s ceiling. Her orgasm was so intense, her body became limp and her head felt like it was spinning.  It was intoxicating. He put her down lightly on her feet and looked her in her eyes. She could barely look back at him. She was completely out of it. With the steam and heat from the shower and what he had just done to her, she felt she could faint. He gave her a few seconds to gather her strength and he started to kiss her again. This time, he put her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist and inserted into her with a fast and strong thrust. She almost lost it. It felt like he had ripped her into two, but it felt good to her at the same time. Once again, she was breathless. He was killing her, but in a good way. She felt fulfilled. This is what she was missing. He glided into her softly, back and forth giving her insatiable pleasure, and she decided she would fight back—sexually. One thing about being the dancer she was, she had strong internal muscles. She began to flex those muscles without moving her external body. As he moved, her muscles stroked and gripped his muscle giving him undeniable pleasure. The feeling was so pleasurable to him that she could feel him getting weak. His grip on her wasn’t as tight and his knees began to buckle. His orgasm was so strong and powerful, he let out a loud growl as he stood leaning against her and the shower wall trembling. She rubbed his head in his weakness, kissing his face. He seemed almost embarrassed as she had brought him to his knees. Just then, they heard the door of the apartment open and close. A female voice was calling Kinley’s name. He had forgotten that he too was in a relationship. Wow! Their little escapades had just turned into something serious. Tay had been in a long term relationship and so had Kinley. They both were just reminded of their real world situations, which now threw a monkey wrench in their adventures. How are they going to fix this?

I would've love to see #TheRomans with kids. I wish we could have seen Derek and Ahsha as parents. I want a #Reboot of #HitTheFloor
Defence Epilogue
Tumblr media
So many mixed emotions right now! Defence is finally completed and I feel sad that it’s finished.I am also happy that I had a chance to tell Derek and Ahsha’s love story. I want to thank every single one of you for liking, reblogging, and also reviewing these ten chapters. Your support has meant the world to me and it has been a huge pleasure to write my first series. Thank you so much to my sister and P.I.C. @msnefie-honeylove21 for all of our late night (5AM) conversations that helped me write, for giving me such great ideas, for helping me get out of my writers block, and for always encouraging me to be the best that I can be. I did it sis! I finished my first series! Wow, that sounds so crazy to say.
Chapter 10 is up, and if you did not read it, here is the link
With all of that being said and me being close to tears, let’s get started with this epilogue!
Six Years Later
“Wake.” A kiss on the cheek.
“Up.” A kiss on the neck.
“Mrs. Roman.” Derek kisses Ahsha’s shoulder. Ahsha stirs around and opens her eyes, greeted by her loving husband of six years smiling at her.
“What time is it?” She sleepily asks and stretches, feeling a wave of nausea hit her.
She had been feeling this feeling in the pit of her stomach every single morning for the past week and a half.
Missing practice was already not an option, especially not for the captain of the Devil Girls.
“Twelve o'clock.” Ahsha jumps out of Derek’s warm embrace and rushes over to the toilet to empty all of the contents out of her stomach.
“Why what’s wrong?” Derek asks as he sits outside of the bathroom, confused by Ahsha’s strange behavior of getting sick in the mornings. He did notice her picking up a bit of weight in her chest, stomach, and butt, but not anything that would give him suspicion.
So he does what he always does. He walks back to his and Ahsha’s large master suite and makes up their bed and picks out Ahsha’s favorite outfit to practice in.
Ahsha finishes getting sick and goes about her regular bathroom schedule. Doing her normal bladder emptying, brushing her teeth, as well as washing her face. She takes her wavy hair out of its messy bun and brushes it down.
She leaves the bathroom and notices Derek is not in the room anymore but he made the bed and picked out her favorite outfit. Ahsha smiles to herself and starts to get dressed. She gets dressed and noticed that her breasts feel sore as she slips on her pink sports bra. She then puts on her gray leggings along with her off the shoulder t-shirt.
Heading over to her walk-in closet, she picks up a bottle of her Guess perfume and starts to spray it, noticing that it does not make her feel nauseous like her other perfume did yesterday.
“What is going on with my body?” She asks herself and heads out of the closet. Going back to the pregnancy test that she hid in her nightstand drawer, she looks at the results and takes a gulp, nearly passing out. “Oh God no.” She sighs, feeling tears rush to her eyes.
Ahsha takes a deep breath and closes the drawer and looks at the clock, noticing that it is now twelve fifteen. She grabs her dance bag and heads down the hallway and downstairs, past the foyer, and around the corner to the living room. She finds Derek watching television and sits next to him. He pulls her into his arms and kisses her lips, coming out of his deep thoughts.
“Hey. I know I asked this last night but are you okay?” Derek asks his wife as she lays on his chest.
“Yeah. I haven’t been feeling well.” She partially lies, knowing exactly why she doesn’t feel well.
“Maybe you should stay here babe.” Derek tells her as he gently caresses her stomach.
“Derek, I’m fine. I promise. I have a doctors appointment today at four.” She leans up and kisses his lips, trying to move his hand away from her stomach.
“Okay, I believe you.” He pauses to push a piece of hair out of Ahsha’s face. “I made you lunch, so go ahead and eat. I can take you to the arena and pick you up since I have a meeting with the guys.” Ahsha nods her head and gets off of Derek’s lap. “Thank you, babe.”
“No problem.”
She heads into the kitchen and finds a plate of baked macaroni and cheese, black beans, chicken strips, and cabbage sitting on the counter. There is also a fork sitting on a napkin next to the plate along with a glass of water. She notices that the plate is warm and sits down to eat.
Halfway finished her lunch, the dancer heads over to the fridge and grabs the grape jelly along with a spoon. She opens the jar and places a spoonful of jelly on her plate. A second later she puts the jelly back in the fridge and goes back to eating her lunch.
Derek walks into the kitchen to grab a cup of water and furrows his eyebrows at the sight of his wife now almost finished her lunch and grape jelly on the plate. “What?”
“Nothing Ahsh.” He tells her and chuckles, making her feel somewhat emotional.
“I don’t get what’s funny.”
“Nothing.” Ahsha shoves the last forkful into her mouth and gets up. Derek moves out of her way and lets her take care of her business.
“Ready?” He asks her. Ahsha grabs her lemon water from the fridge and walks out of the kitchen, ignoring Derek’s question. He wonders about her as he walks out of the kitchen and grabs his keys. Ahsha slings her bag over her shoulder after tucking her water bottle into her bag.
The two get to the arena in under twenty minutes and Ahsha gets out of the car, feeling sick. “Are you sure you’re okay?” Derek asks as he opens Ahsha’s side of the car.
“Yeah I’m fine.” She tells him as she gets out of the car along with her dance bag. Derek closes Ahsha’s door and they head into the arena.
“You look like you’re about to throw up.”
“I’m fine babe.” Ahsha reassures her husband.
Jim the tech guy notices Derek and Ahsha heading into the arena. “Hey, captains!” He shouts to the both of them.
“Hey, Jim!” Derek and Ahsha say back to Jim.
Ahsha leans up and kisses her husband’s lips. “I’ll see you after practice.” She tells him.
“See you later.” The two go their separate ways when Ahsha bumps into Sloane and gets a whiff of her perfume. “Hey, sweetie.” Sloane greets her daughter. Ahsha gulps and hugs Sloane. “Hey, mom.”
Sloane lets Ahsha go and the young dancer places her bag down, rushing to the bathroom to empty her stomach. Sloane picks up Ahsha’s dance bag and places it in Ahsha’s locker in the locker room, completely confused by Ahsha’s behavior.
After finishing in the bathroom Ahsha bumps into Kyle who is heading into practice after ending her FaceTime call with Jelena who is all the way in Georgia for her cousin Crystal’s wedding. She will be back tomorrow morning.
“You don’t look so good Carebear.”
“Hello to you too Kyle.” Ahsha retorts back and walks past her best friend, earning a really confused look. Ahsha quickly puts a mint into her mouth and walks out of the locker room feeling her head throbbing.
She goes into the rehearsal studio and sits down in front of all of the girls who are all here, minus Jelena. “Okay, we’re going to start off with push-ups, lunges, and splits. We’re then going to rehearse Mad Hatter.” Ahsha tells the girls.
Everyone gets into their push-up positions. “We’ll be doing twenty push-ups straight through and then we’ll do lunges, straddles, and then splits.”
“I thought we weren’t doing straddles.”
“Change of plans,” Ahsha announces, smiling as she still feeling sick and now exhausted. “We will be doing them.”
As soon as the girls finish with their exercises, Ahsha feels like she is about to be sick again. “So we’re going to start by throwing hats in the air, catching them, putting them down, and pique turns.” She tells the girls, ignoring the sick feeling in her stomach, and instead, passes all of the girls their caps, hats, and top hats. The song starts to play and the girls go over what they know to the song, placing the hats down on the floor.
In the middle of the dance, Ahsha runs out of the rehearsal studio and straight to the bathroom, running past Sloane, Pete, and Derek.
Kyle, as co-captain takes over practice and finishes the dance.
“You girls can take a break. I’ll be right back.” She tells them.
“Is Ahsha okay?” Devil Girl Christine asks. “I’m going to go check up on her now.” She tells the girls and leaves the room.
The blonde dancer leaves the room and is greeted by her best friend’s parents and husband. “What’s wrong with Ahsha? She’s not fine, is she?” Pete asks Kyle, figuring that she might know something.
Sloane and Kyle look at each other and then back at Pete.
“I’ll be back.” Kyle announces to the group, avoiding Pete’s question and heads into the bathroom where she hears her best friend flush the toilet.
Ahsha walks out of the bathroom stall and is shocked to find her best friend standing in the bathroom.
“Carebear. You know I love you right?”
“Yeah. We’ve been friends since kindergarten. Why what’s going on?” Kyle raises her eyebrows at her best friend.
“Are you pregnant?” She asks, jumping straight to the question.
Ahsha rinses her mouth with a small individual packed tab of Listerine from the bathroom counter, thankful but confused as to why it’s there.
She quickly washes her hands, ignoring Kyle’s question. “No, yes. Maybe so.” Ahsha tells Kyle looking down at the floor, about to break down into tears.
“Ahsha.” She insists again.
“I can’t be pregnant Kyle. My husband’s an athlete. He’s not going to be able to be home with the baby. What if I’m in labor and-” Ahsha stops talking as Sloane walks into the bathroom.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” She asks. Ahsha looks at her mother and best friend and then breaks down into tears.
“Calm down sweetheart,” Sloane tells her daughter and kisses her forehead.
“Mom, I’m scared.”
“Of what honey?”
“Derek’s not really going to be home to take care of the baby. I’m going to be alone.” She tells her mom and cries on Sloane’s shoulder.
Sloane pushes all of Ahsha’s hair out of her face. “Sweetie, do you know for sure if you’re pregnant or not?” She asks her daughter. Ahsha’s sobs grow loud enough for Pete to hear outside in the hallway. “I took a test last night.” She sobs.
Sloane’s heart grows heavier as she holds her daughter. “Calm down sweetheart.” She kisses Ahsha’s hair and rubs her back.
“You’re not going to be alone. You still have Derek even though he’ll only be gone for two days at a game. You’re not going to be alone.”
Ahsha’s sobs are inconsolable which causes Sloane to worry.
She and Kyle try their best at comforting Ahsha who is now distraught. “I took a test last night and it came out positive. I have a doctors appointment today at four.” She tells the two women. “I’m scared.” She whispers.
“I want to come but I have a mandatory meeting at four,” Sloane tells her daughter, feeling upset about having to miss the meeting. “It’s okay, I’ll just call you about the appointment later.”
Sloane looks down at her daughter and wipes her tears away. “Now stop crying, everything is going to be okay.” She promises.
“You are going to be fine Carebear.” Kyle promises as well.
——
The drive to the doctors with Kyle in the passenger’s seat was quite the adventure. The Southern Belle’s comments on any and everything that pertained to sex and babies was enough to baffle Ahsha’s brain.
Derek was disappointed that he couldn’t make it to Ahsha’s appointment due to the fact that he had to attend the same mandatory meeting as Sloane.
To add to the situation, Kyle was on FaceTime with Jelena who added on to the sexual jokes in the doctor’s appointment. The two even caused Dr. Bergen, Ahsha’s OBGYN to join in on the jokes and she even laughed until she cried.
Dr. Bergen comes back into the room with a wide smile on her face. She has just received Ahsha’s results.
“Well baby Roman is, in fact, ten weeks developed, meaning that the risk of miscarriage is super slim.” She beams.
Kyle looks over at Ahsha, grabbing her hand. “She doesn’t even look 10 weeks pregnant.”
“What? Her three-month belly is flatter than mine and I’m not even pregnant!” Jelena groans, making Ahsha laugh.
“Well, women have different ways of showing. I say judging by Ahsha’s small frame right now, she will not be showing until she’s about sixteen or seventeen weeks.”
“Wait so Ahsha’s pregnant?” Jelena asks.
“Yes. Ahsha is pregnant! Girl, we just established this!”
The two girls squeal in excitement while Ahsha still sits back in shock. “Okay Ahsha, I have written you a prescription for your prenatal vitamins. I will be seeing you once every five weeks to make sure that everything is going well with your pregnancy.” Dr. Bergen tells Ahsha.
“Would you like to see your baby?”
“Yes.” Ahsha replies in a nervous, worried voice. Dr. Bergen instructs her to lay back and pull her shirt up, exposing her barely showing stomach.
“I know you’re scared to tell Derek but he’s going to be so excited to see the baby.” Dr. Bergen encourages as she turns on the sonogram machine and puts gel on Ahsha’s stomach.
“Kyle, can you hit the lights?” She asks. Kyle turns off the light switch and everyone directs their attention to the monitor including Jelena who Kyle switched the camera around for.
Ahsha looks at the sonogram and tears come rushing to her eyes. On the graph, she sees the baby’s small form. “There is the head, the tiny little spine, little tiny legs and the arms. Look at those little hands.”
“Tiny little bean!” Jelena coos as she also wipes her tears away. “I know!” Kyle tells her, grabbing Ahsha’s hand.
Ahsha can’t even speak right now due to the fact that she is so overwhelmed with emotion. “Let me connect you to the Doppler.” Dr. Bergen tells Ahsha and pulls out a small tool with a microphone from her computer, she places it into Ahsha’s stomach and turns up the volume.
The baby’s heartbeat radiates through the entire room. “Jelena, can you hear this?” Kyle excitedly asks as she squeezes Ahsha’s hand. “Yes! I said I wasn’t going to cry, but now I am.” Jelena announces. Ahsha’s pays attention to the screen and wipes her tears away.
“Did the baby just move?” She asks.
“Yes! Wow, they’re moving a lot! You won’t be able to feel the baby moving until you’re almost twenty-five weeks pregnant.”
Dr. Bergen starts to pack up all of the equipment and cleans Ahsha’s stomach off.
Ahsha stands up as Kyle turns the lights off, feeling excited about the pregnancy. “I will see you in five weeks.”
“See you later.” She tells her doctor. Ahsha and Kyle make their way out of the doctor’s office and  make the appointment for five weeks later.
The two leave the doctor’s office with Ahsha carrying the sonogram still in her hand.
“Carebear! You’re pregnant!” Kyle cheers and hugs her best friend close to her. “I’m still in shock,” Ahsha admits to her, tucking a piece of hair behind her shoulders.
The two women get into the car with Jelena still on FaceTime.
“As excited as I am Kyle, Derek isn’t going to want a baby right now. We just finished college, we’re still paying student loans, his career is finally taking off and so is mine.” She tells her best friend and puts her head in her hands, feeling nervous.
“Are you serious right now? Why else would this man buy a seven bedroom house? We graduated two years ago. Why don’t you think he’s ready for this baby?” Jelena asks.
“I don’t know.”
“Ahsha! Are you serious right now?”
“See? You don’t, so stop it.” Kyle scolds. Ahsha looks out the window and stays silent for the whole twenty-minute drive to her house while Jelena and Kyle try to get her to talk. “Ahsha, you need to calm down, stress isn’t good for my godchild.” Jelena tells her.
“Mine either.”
Kyle looks over at her best friend who is still glum and pulls into her large driveway. Kyle tells Ahsha as she parks the car. She unbuckles her seatbelt as well as Ahsha’s and the two get out of the car.
“I can’t do this.”
“Yes, you can.” Kyle encourages and rubs Ahsha’s back. “Ahsha, you can do this. You and Derek have been through so much these past couple of years and you two deserve to be happy. You’ve got this!”
“Thank you guys.” Ahsha tells her two best friends. She gives Kyle a hug and blows a kiss to Jelena. “Guys I have to go. Crystal wants to have a dinner with us bridesmaids. I will see you beautiful people tomorrow. Ahsha, I’m squeezing you when I see you tomorrow!”
Ahsha lets out a giggle, making Kyle and Jelena smile even bigger. “I miss your hugs!”
“I miss yours too! Okay guys, I have to go before Crystal kills me!”
“See ya!” Kyle and Ahsha call out together and Jelena hangs up the phone.
Kyle sees her notifications and realizes that she has a missed text from Terrence.
“I have to go house hunting with Terrence. I expect a phone call tonight from you, telling me that you told Derek.” Kyle scolds and lets Ahsha go. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow Kyle.” Ahsha closes her door and goes into hers and Derek’s mansion .
Ahsha heads upstairs and is greeted by her husband who just got out of the shower.
“How was your appointment?” He asks, kissing his wife’s forehead.
“I’ll tell you in a second.” She tells him, taking off her shirt. She then walks into her closet and changes into a pair of sweatpants and a tight tee shirt.
“Hey Derek, do you notice anything?” She asks as she walks up to her husband. Derek wraps his arms around Ahsha’s waist and kisses her cheek. “Like what?”
“Weight gain, nausea, weird food cravings. Anything like that?” She asks as Derek kisses her forehead. “Nope. Why?”
“I’ll be back.”
Ahsha walks back to her closet and finds the sonogram and grabs it. She walks back to Derek and wraps her arms around his waist from behind. “Okay, open your eyes and look down.” She tells her husband, kissing his back.
Derek does just that and grabs the ultrasound picture from Ahsha’s hands. Tears fall down his face when he sees the baby’s tiny image in the picture. He turns around facing Ahsha then picks her up and spins her around. “We’re having a baby!” He screams and kisses his wife’s lips, gently holding her.
“I can’t believe this. Ahsha, you’re pregnant! This is really happening, babe!” He tells her, weeping on her shoulder. Ahsha laughs at Derek’s response as butterflies fill her stomach. He falls to his knees and gently presses kisses to Ahsha’s stomach.
Ahsha bends down and wraps her arms around Derek and kisses the top of his forehead. “Derek?”
“Yeah?”
“What’s going to happen when you’re away? What if I’m about to have the baby and you’re not able to get here in time?” Ahsha asks, feeling her fears setting in again.
Derek unwraps his arms from around his wife’s waist and stands up, looking into her eyes.
“Babe, I always get on the plane after my games to come back home to you. A baby is not going to change that at all. I hope that you don’t have the baby while I’m away at a game but if you do, just know that I will do everything in my willpower to make sure that I’m there with you.”  Derek replies and gently caresses Ahsha’s face with his thumb.
Ahsha stands up on her toes and kisses Derek’s lips. “I love you.”
“I love you too Ahsha.”
6 months later
“So how is my little bean doing?” Derek asks over his FaceTime call. He is all the way in Phoenix, Arizona for an away game.
“A lot better at not keeping me up at night.” Ahsha answers, rubbing her large belly. Thirty-nine weeks looks amazing on the mother to be who is now glowing.
“I miss you guys.”
“We miss you too.” The baby kicks in response as well, causing Ahsha to laugh. “What?”
“Your child kicked me.” The two young parents laugh and go back to their loving gazes. “You two make me sick.” Kyle jokingly groans as she and Jelena come back to the table from using the restroom.
“You and Terrence make me sick.” Derek retorts back causing Ahsha to laugh harder. “I have to go. I’ll FaceTime you guys after practice. Enjoy your lunch!”
“Okay.”
“I love you Ahsha and make sure my baby waits until I get home,” Derek mentions.
“I love you more and I can’t make any promises on that. Go to practice baby.” She tells him before ending the phone call.
The baby kicks way harder than usual and the sharp pains Ahsha felt earlier are starting to increase. She feels a painful pang and jolts up, scaring Kyle.
“Ahsha?”
“I’m fine.” Ahsha mentions, continuing to take deep breaths. The waiter comes with her plate of lobster lasagna, Kyle’s plate of southern barbecue ribs, and Jelena’s plate of ribs as well.
Halfway through eating their lunch and conversation about what Kyle missed at the arena when she was on vacation, Ahsha can no longer sit through her meal. She feels her womb getting tighter and tighter by each passing minute and stops eating her food. “Are you okay?” Jelena asks her sensing that there is definitely something wrong with Ahsha and that she looks uncomfortable. “Yeah I’m fine.”
The pangs of pain were something Ahsha had been experiencing since last night. She figured that it was just another case of Braxton Hicks and did not think anything about it.
“I’ll be back guys.” She gets up from the table and walks to the bathroom feeling the baby dropping heavier and heavier. She gets to the bathroom and steps into the stall. She pulls her leggings down and tries to pee. She feels an entire flood pour out of her and into the toilet. “That’s not pee.” She tells herself and her eyes widen at the realization that the false contractions that she thought she had were actual contractions and that her water broke. Baby Roman is entering the world today.
She no longer feels the need to pee but forces herself to, in case something happens. Finishing and flushing the toilet, then going about the rest of her business, another pang of pain hits except this one is more uncomfortable than the one that happened a minute ago.
Jelena decides to check on Ahsha and see why it is taking her fifteen minutes to use the bathroom. She knows how long her pregnant best friend’s bathroom, ten minutes. Anything more than that is worrisome.
Ahsha walks out of her stall and is washing her hands by the time Jelena comes to the bathroom. Ahsha’s face turns as the contractions increase in pressure. Jelena stands and observes Ahsha, pain evident all over her face. “Hey, I was checking to see if you were okay.” Jelena tells her.
“We need to go,” Ahsha tells her and crouches over as another contraction hits her. “My water broke when I was using the bathroom.” Jelena’s eyes widen and she grabs her best friend by the hand.
She wastes not time walking through the restaurant with her as fast as they can walk. “Can we have three boxes please?” Jelena asks the waiter.
The contractions are hitting Ahsha so bad to the point where she is now starting to cry a little, so she squeezes Jelena’s hand and tries not to scream in the restaurant.
The waiter still stands there doing nothing at all but staring into space. “I am in labor right now and I don’t have time for you to stand here staring into space. I need three boxes, can you get them now?” Ahsha snaps, causing the waiter as well as Jelena to give her a shocked expression. “I’m so sorry about that. Let me go get your boxes!” The waiter says to Ahsha. He walks away and Ahsha feels another contraction hit her as Jelena comforts her the best way she knows how.
The girls get their boxes and race back to the table. “What happened?” Kyle asks as she receives her box. “My water broke.” Kyle’s eyes widen in shock and excitement takes over her. “My godchild is coming today!” She cheers as she puts her food into her container. The girls are thankful that they paid before eating here and leave a tip on the table for their waiter.
The three leave the restaurant with Ahsha now barely able to walk from the pain. Kyle helps her get into the car and closes the car door. “Thank you.”
“No problem.” She tells her and quickly gets in the backseat. Jelena looks out for traffic coming and pulls out of the parking spot. Kyle is in the backseat texting Derek, Terrence, Zero, and Pete to let them know that Ahsha is in fact in labor.
Back in Arizona, Derek knew something was up with Ahsha and the baby after he ended his FaceTime call with her and decided that it was best to head home. Having Kyle texting him and telling him that his wife is in labor confirmed his worries. He grabs his one large suitcase as well as his phone before leaving the hotel room. He goes to Pete’s room and tells the grandfather to be that his grandchild will be coming very soon. On the way to the room, he requests an Uber to take him to the airport.
“I will just talk to the roster team and have Stephan taking your place in the game tonight so you don’t need to worry. I will be on the plane right after the game is over.” He tells him, feeling a little down that he is unable to be there with his daughter due to him being the only coach here.
“Okay. I’ll see you later dad.” Derek tells Pete and hugs him. “Let me know when you land and when you’re at the hospital.”
“I will.” The two men part and Derek excitedly makes his way to his Uber, letting Kyle know that he is on his way.
After thirty minutes he is finally on the plane and on his way to make his one hour flight to Los Angeles.
Back in California, the girls are stuck in traffic and Ahsha is becoming more and more irritable. “Derek can’t make it.” Kyle blurts out as Jelena keeps driving. Ahsha’s heart stops and the baby moves. “What?” She asks, feeling her hormones starting to take over. Being stuck in traffic, in labor on the way to the hospital, and learning that Derek cannot make it starts to take a toll on Ahsha. Kyle feels terrible for making Ahsha cry but knows that Derek wants this to be a surprise for her.
“He says that the roster team did not give him a backup and can’t be replaced.” Ahsha feels sick to her stomach at the news and looks out the window, clutching the chair as another contraction hits. Tears stream down her face and she begins to softly sob. “Ahsha.” Jelena coos and rubs her back, feeling bad about her situation. “I was scared that I was going to be alone and now it’s happening.” She says and keeps holding her stomach.
“No, you’re not. Kyle and I are right here with high and will be with you the whole time. I am going to try my best to get us out of this traffic.” Jelena promises and looks out of her window to still see cars stopped. She puts her right turn signal on so that she can pull over to the side of the road. “How long have you been having contractions?” Jelena asks as she notices Ahsha tensing up and breathing through another one.
“Since nine o'clock last night?” Ahsha guesses and breathes as another contraction hits. She grabs Jelena’s hand, gently squeezing it. “So if it’s four thirty right now then that means you’ve been in labor for seventeen hours.” Kyle says, completely blown away.
“Wait, we’ve been stuck in traffic for an hour.” Ahsha and Jelena say at the same time.
“Ahsha, how are you feeling now?” Kyle asks. Ahsha has another contraction except this time she is nearly screaming in pain. “Can this damn traffic hurry up so that I can get to a hospital and have my baby?” She asks in frustration. Jelena honks her horn at the slow, steady traffic.
Kyle texts Sloane again and tells her that they are all still stuck in traffic. They are thirty minutes away from the hospital. “Jelena, if I have this baby in your car I’m so sorry.” Ahsha apologizes, trying to add humor to the situation.
“Don’t worry about that, we’re going to get out of this.” She grabs her phone from her dashboard rack and dials 911.
Kyle sees a text from Sloane telling her to dial an ambulance and that she is already at the hospital waiting for them to get there.
“Hi, my friend is in labor and we’re stuck in traffic on Sam Diego drive.”
“Oh God. How long has she been in labor?”
“Almost eighteen hours.”
“Okay, is she sitting in air conditioning and does she have water?” The operator asks.
Jelena sees Ahsha’s water bottle still full. “Yes, she does.”
“There was an accident in front of you guys that has just cleared up. Traffic should be moving again in about two minutes. Is your friend able to wait that long?”
“Hold on,” Jelena tells the man.
She turns to look at Ahsha who now looks very uncomfortable and is stirring around. “Traffic should be moving in two minutes. Do you think you’ll be okay?” She asks.
“Yeah.” Kyle leans up and rubs Ahsha’s back.
“This actually feels really good right now.” Ahsha sighs and places her hands on her womb, feeling the baby stirring around.
Kyle looks down at her phone and sees that Sloane has text her and told her that Derek just arrived along with Eleanor and John.
The traffic finally starts to move forward to all of the girls’ relief. “Thank you so much.” Jelena tells the operator. “You’re welcome. I wish your friend a very healthy and safe delivery.”
“Thank you.” Jelena hangs up the phone as she finally starts driving to the hospital.
Thirty minutes of driving in a car with Ahsha in labor was enough to scare Jelena and make Kyle nervous. The normally bubbly dancer was more like a hurricane.
The girls get to the hospital and Kyle races to grab a wheelchair for Ahsha when a nurse offers to do so. The pair helps Ahsha out of the car and help her sit in the wheelchair. She is immediately wheeled into the hospital and taken up to her room where she is given a backless robe and is connected to an IV.
Ahsha grabs her phone and plays a game on her phone while the television softly plays in the background. She hears a knock on her door. “Ahsha, it’s nurse Nicole. May I come in?”
“Yes.” Ahsha answers and wonders why the nurse did not just knock and then come in like nurses normally do.
Derek enters the room.
Ahsha’s mouth drops open and Derek rushes over to his wife. “Derek!” Ahsha yells and wraps her arms around Derek, disappointed that she cannot hug him the way that she is used to doing. “I thought you weren’t able to come.” She tells him as he kisses her cheek. She feels hot even though the room is cold to Derek.
“I wanted to surprise you.” He tells his wife as another contraction hits. She grabs his hand and squeezes as tight as she can. The contraction ends and she glares at her husband.
“What?”
“That’s not funny. I really thought that you weren’t,” she is cut off by another contraction. “Going to be here and that I was going to be here alone.”
Derek feels bad for his surprise when he sees Ahsha cringe again, and then wipe her eyes. All he wanted to do was make her smile, not cause her to become upset. He gently kisses her lips.
Ahsha stops kissing him and places her hand on her stomach as the baby moves. “Remember what I told you the day you found out about the pregnancy? I would do anything in my willpower to be here.” He tells her and sits down on the chair next to her bed, still holding her hand as her contractions stop and continue.
The nurse finally comes into the room to check on Ahsha’s dilation. “You are at nine centimeters. There is one more to go until you start pushing.”
So they wait. The clock goes from five thirty to seven thirty and Ahsha dilates half an inch. Twenty-two hours of labor and she has little patience for anyone or anything at the moment. Even Derek is getting on her nerves by keeping the room completely silent. In all honesty, he is silent because Ahsha is scaring him right now.
Nurse Nicole and Dr. Bergman come in to check on Ahsha’s dilation. “So, mom and dad are you ready to bring your baby into the world?” Dr. Bergman asks. She loves Derek and Ahsha’s relationship and could not be more honored to help them bring their baby into the world.
“Yes!” Ahsha cheers, excited that her pain is about to be over. She did not even give Derek a chance to answer which makes all of the women laugh.
“Okay Ahsha, on your next contraction I want you to start pushing. I will count to ten and when I stop counting then you can take a deep breath and start pushing again.” Dr. Brewer answers.
Ahsha wastes no time in pushing. Her eyes tear up as she feels the burning sensation but does not stop pushing until Dr. Brewer stops counting.
After ten minutes of pushing, baby Roman has finally entered into the world at seven pounds and eight ounces.
The baby cries fill the entire room and hit Derek to his core. He lays his head on Ahsha’s side and sobs, happy that he has given someone a chance to have a father. Happy that he is a father.
The baby goes to Nurse Nicole who will clean as well as run tests on vital signs.
“Okay Ahsha, we just need your placenta and we will be out of your way and you can enjoy your little bundle of joy.”
Getting rid of the placenta only took a minute and Ahsha could not have felt more relieved. Doctor Bergen cleans Ahsha up before leaving the happy couple to enjoy their baby.
Nurse Nicole brings the baby back to Ahsha and she eagerly grabs her little baby. “So we can’t keep saying Baby Roman. What would you guys like to name your little girl?” She asks.
“Mackenzie!” Derek blurts out, causing Ahsha to look over at him. She has never heard him mention that name. While discussing baby girl names, the two went over Lilly, Chloe, Audrey, Adele, and many other names but not Mackenzie.
“After your grandma, McKenna, and my father, Kendall.” He replies, letting Ahsha reflect on the name. Her grandmother played a very important part in her life as a kid and passed away last month while battling cancer.
“Mackenzie Grace,” Ahsha adds and looks at Derek. “I love it.” She also says and looks down at her newborn daughter who opens her little eyes. “Do you love it too?” She asks and kisses her baby’s forehead.
“I love it too.” Derek answers and looks at his wife and daughter in pure adoration. “Mackenzie Grace Roman. That’s so beautiful. Can you spell Mackenzie for me? Some people have different ways of spelling it.”
Derek spells out Mackenzie’s name and Mackenzie gets a little sticker on her bassinet as well as her birth certificate.
“You’re so beautiful.” Ahsha coos and tries to reposition Mackenzie who fusses about moving. She feels comfortable the way she is.
“You come out acting just like your father.” She giggles and moves her daughter back. The baby stops fussing and cuddles closer to Ahsha.
She looks down at her husband and he stands up. She moves over so that he can sit on the bed. “Do you want to hold her?”
“Yes!”
Ahsha gently moves little Mackenzie and carefully passes her to Derek, making sure to hold her head. “You look just like your mommy with my nose.” He tells her, wiping his tears away.
“I’m your daddy and that beautiful lady that was holding you is your mommy. I promised her that I would always look after you two and I’m keeping that promise. I love you two so much and I’m so happy that I can finally hold you.” He tells her, sniffling. Ahsha smiles at her emotional husband and kisses his cheek. “I love you.” She tells him and rests her chin on his shoulder. “I love you more.”
The two lovingly look down at their daughter who opens her eyes. She cannot see yet but keeps her focus on Derek’s face. “You have your mommy’s eyes too.” He tells her, melting over how precious she is.
He finally has his dream career, married the woman of his dreams, completed college, and is now a father. He has made his own father proud, and that right there is something to be proud of.
Ahsha reflects back on how she and Derek got to this point. Eight years ago, the thought of marrying and spending the rest of her life with Derek Roman would have never crossed her mind.
The thought of spending the rest of his life with Ahsha Hayes did cross Derek’s mind, and he is always thanking God for blessing him with the life that he has always wanted. For making him truly content with life.
All he needed to do was give up the ball of hurt that he had for so long, and play Defence.
“I love you Ahsha. Here is to seven years and forever.” Derek tells his wife and kisses her lips and then Mackenzie’s forehead. “I love you too Derek.”
“I love you too Mackenzie.”
The end.

my apologies ....if I knew how to use the tumblr and get into ur inbox i would so....here is Seychelles a very small island we are not up to date with the technology stuff, and while browsing i saw that there are fanfictions about derek and ahsha i was thrilled and i started reading what i got from the internet.. apologies again , did not expect such response , such arrogance .
So you’re new to Tumblr and are not sure on how it operates. Well my apologies as well seeing as you didn’t know. My tone stems from the users on Tumblr who ask for the fanfiction but abused the Dersha FAM’s (Team Dersha) content like using gifs without giving credit or reading without reviewing. You’ve stumble across my blog but it is about a good ten of us blogs that bring heavy content to Tumblr and tweet on Twitter together for the Dersha ship. We are like a fandom family on here and many of our stories have been also plagiarized in other fanfics, used on porn blogs, ect. Which is not our goal. Also we post them and anons read them and dont leave reviews. We all feel that if we’ve taken time out to write the stories then it’s only fair to share thought but a lot of people dont which is also why we stop posting the links to our stories and only share amongst blogs. We have all worked hard on bringing content for the fandom in our hiatus while the show was gone so we are also protective over it even though these characters are not ours(which is why all stories have disclaimer stating the the characters belong to the creator James Larisa). Many of the anons on here are not new to this and they try and get us to send them links and I tell them to send me a direct message (which is by the submit questions for anon button, you can’t miss it) to see if I am or the other Dersha blogs are farmiliar with your blog. The Zude fandom does the same. If we dont know your blog then we usually dont send them because people have misused.

Playing With Fire 7
Prompt:  To conclude the much requested sneak peek here is the full chapter. A lot of things have changed in this chapter and much expected turbulences occur. Let me know your thoughts on it guys. Again forgive me for the delay.
NOTE: If you didn’t get to read the Chapter 7 Sneak Peek, you probably should it was a preview for the intro to this chapter.
The set to The Ellen DeGeneres Show was a disastrous mess. Derek who had been previously sitting on the couch beside Dahlia was now being guarded by two security guards from Dahlia’s rage. After publicly slapping him on set, his ex violently grabbed hold of his neck, pulling him down and repeatedly kicking him in the face.
Ellen was too in shock to come up with anymore questions. It was safe to say the interview was over at this point.
“Look I just want to talk to her. That’s it. I just wanna talk”, Derek was pleading with the security guards.
The left side of his face was marked with her handprint while his neck was a swollen red from all the kicks. Now he knew why you never broke up with a woman in public. She could  go off!
“Dahlia! Dahli! Dahl! ”, he was trying effortlessly to gain her attention so that she would calm down a little but that went on deaf ears.
He reached his hand out to touch her, Dahlia spit on him in return.
“You fucking scumbag ass liar! I hate you!” she screamed at him, clawing through the guards to get to him.
At this point there was no more calming her down, Dahlia didn’t wanna hear it.
He had lead her on all this time and then the moment he’s bulldozing, ghetto ex comes back he takes the high road and chooses to humiliate her like this. She knew that girl was gonna ruin things between them, she had trusted Jelena to handle things. But obviously she had not.
While Dahlia’s rage was directed at Derek, her anger was still reserved for Howard. Business had been business and Jelena didn’t comply to their agreement. The funds for the development and franchise in exchange for Ahsha’s disappearance. Part two of their deal didn’t take place, making Dahlia resemble the fool.
A notion she would not take lightly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sweat dripping down their faces and water bottles at the ready, Ahsha, Raquel, and Kyle were burning calories in the worst possible way. Yoga positions. No doubt a suggestion of Raquel’s that they hit up the mats and try at least 6 positions with her before quitting. Kyle had not been pleased with the idea at all. “Eight-Angle Pose”, Raquel shouted over the loud serene music playing in the isolated dance studio.
Ahsha rolled her eyes and simply went into the butterfly pose. She wasn’t the only one cheating, Kyle had been on her phone since the moment they got there.
So far Ahsha had been having lunch with Raquel every other day at the arena. Kyle and her ended up bonding after her stunt choreographing the parade dance. They were all like three peas in a pod.
Kyle was the horny one, Ahsha was the crazy one, and Raquel was the peaceful one. An odd blend of personalities but they made it work.
“I am telling you, I am just dyin’ to get this baby charged up later so I can FaceTime Micheal”, Kyle spoke up in excitement. She wore her same loose, flirty grin.
“Micheal? What happened to Travis?” Raquel inquired.
“I let him out the other day”, Kyle said, looking up from her phone. She threw Ahsha a knowing look. They both knew what that phrase really implied in Kyle’s book.
Raquel sighed. “That’s a shame ‘cause I really liked him for you”, she shook her head disappointedly.
“I really liked ‘him’ too”, Kyle wriggled her eyebrows suggestively. Ahsha bursted out laughing.
Kyle was too, too much at times.
“Well don’t sit over there all cute and stuff, girl I know you got some dick too”, Kyle pointed out, eyeing Ahsha directly.
Ahsha coughed, pretending to mock surprise.
“What are you talking about?” she said innocently.
“Miss me with all of that, look at your hair Ahsha,  its all shiny like you just came from 4th of July or a fresh dick over”, Kyle dismissed Ahsha’s subduing demeanor.
“Just because my hair is shinier than before doesn’t mean I had sex Kyle”, Ahsha objected.
Kyle paused from what she was doing on her phone to take a good look at her friend.
“You’re right ‘cause that quarter-size hickey on your chest  is a way better example”, Kyle noted. Her beady, blue eyes zoning in on the mark left on the side of Ahsha’s chest peeking through her tank top.
Ahsha immediately blushed. There was no use in pushing the top any higher since her breasts would only spread it out further.
“Hmmm”, Kyle hummed, smirking triumphantly to herself.
“Fine, okay your ass got me there”, Ahsha gave in.
“Who?” Kyle asked.
Ahsha’s cheeks flustered, she didn’t expect her to throw that question out there. Plus, she didn’t want to just go ahead and admit to fucking the team’s notorious point guard who at the moment was engaged.
What would they think of her?
She knew it was just Kyle but still her morals would be questioned in the process.
“Just some random one-night stand, I can’t even remember his name”, Ahsha shrugged it off.
Raquel nodded but Kyle gave her an unconvinced look. Something about that story didn’t sound true. She could tell there was definitely more to it.
Clearing her throat uncomfortably, Ahsha went back to pretend-attempting each yoga pose with Raquel. Her arms stretched out in front of her as she brought her legs forward in a backwards bridge.
Kyle’s fingers continued scrolling through her Instagram feed. She liked a couple of her favorites before continuing. Scrolling upon a video post, Kyle read the caption: When you try to let her off easy and she bitch slaps your ass. A small smile triggered her mauve-tinted lips as she pressed play.
The video instantly flashed to Derek sitting across from that girl he was dating on a couch. Not a second later, she reaches over and slaps the crap out of him. Kyle’s eyes widened. Reading the hashtags, aside from #bitch slap, #devils gets a taste of his own medicine, #oh snap, the ellen show was tagged in as well.
Kyle’s fingers immediately exited out of the app and went to Google, she typed in ‘The Ellen Show Derek Roman interview’ and 5 seconds later an array of multiple different links were listed underneath.
One of them included The Hollywood Reporter. Kyle clicked on that link first. LA Devils Star Player Announces He Is NOT Engaged To Girlfriend! Watch her reaction below:
After quickly skimming through the blurb, Kyle was shocked to read Derek’s words. Along the lines of “He was never engaged”, something that clearly set his now ex girlfriend off from the slap he received not a minute later. Kyle kept replaying the video still shocked by what she was seeing.
“Kyle, what’s wrong?” Raquel asked, looking over to her friend whose eyes kept bulging out wider and wider.
“Come look at this”, Kyle motioned for her.
Raquel slowly, unfolded her legs together and walked over. Ahsha slid over and plopped beside Kyle as well.
“What is it?” Raquel asked, glancing at the phone screen.
“Watch”, Kyle said simply, before dragging the current playing position all the way to the beginning of the interview.
Pressing the volume button all the way up, so both girls could hear the action for themselves. Kyle patiently waited to see their facial reactions.
Raquel’s eyes went from frowning quizzically at Derek’s words to startled by the slap to follow. That only made the southern belle’s day.
Ahsha on the other hand went pale. Her cheeks flushed and she could feel her face grow hot. While her likely response would’ve been delight in seeing that Dahli-bitch get tossed but instead she felt guilt. Guilt for causing this to happen. If word got out that she created this, words like “homewrecker” and “hood rat” were surely going to be associated with her name and Ahsha didn’t need that.
Sure, she could rough it up and play tough when the media hit but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be breaking on the inside.
She was a strong woman but still a slice of vulnerable was caked underneath.
“Wow, did this really happen? He actually went on Ellen and did something like that? What a monster?” Raquel grimaced, giving Kyle her phone back.
“Love is shit sometimes”, Kyle singsonged, shrugging.
“I don’t blame her for slapping him, he deserved it. Something like that should’ve been done in private, not on national television. That was just cruel”, Raquel retorted.
Ahsha’s eyes stayed frozen on the floor. She swallowed then closed her eyes. Her insides were aching painfully.
It was one thing to be the victim and mourn them for being humiliated but when you were the catalyst, things changed drastically.
“Hey, I’m gonna go freshen up a little”, Ahsha mumbled, slowly getting up. She felt her chest ache and her legs felt like steel against the floor.
“Sure”, Raquel nodded at her.
Pushing the glass door out the room, Ahsha’s mood deflated lower to lower. They had reason to call love the disease of sickness because at the moment Ahsha felt that very same sickness rumbling the pit of her stomach. But she wouldn’t call it love, more like...
Guilt.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Playground was casually alert when Jude made his way inside. He was still stressed when it came to the new majority owner. That morning alone, Jelena had started making demands right off the bat. One of them being Ahsha, her biggest priority.
He thought he had taken care of  that last he’d spoken to Lionel but was clearly wrong. Ahsha Hayes remained a Devils employee under the Brand Representative title. Seeing it that morning made Jude almost choke.
Jelena would only get angrier from this.
He noticed Lionel’s head bob through a cluster of four men standing near the bar. He walked up beside her and sat down.
“Enjoying yourself?” he greeted her. Ordering a shot of Vodka, Jude turned to face his stepmother.
“Pleasantly, yes. What’s up?” she inquired.
Jude half chuckled. “Ahsha’s still here”, he answered.
“I know, she’s my CoverGirl of course she is”, Lionel expressed primitively.
The voluptuous brunette tucked a strand of her black hair over her shoulder then angled her body towards him. Her deep grey eyes looked into his own. She was a lot rosier than she had been the day before. Her mood wouldn’t falter one bit through Jude’s grumpiness and bothered attitude.
“I just had a meeting with our marketing advisers and Jelena was there. You don’t wanna know half the things that girl suggested for the promotions”, Jude drooped his head over his shoulders.
His mind was half dead from having to hear Jelena reject every single thing he had proposed for promotion events. It was funny how because he was a Kinkade, Jelena felt obligated to shoot him down. He didn’t appreciate that one bit.
“Tough bosses are something you should be used to Jude, after all this is a business”, Lionel reminded him.
Jude rolled his eyes. “Not German Shepherd pitbulls. Lionel whether you want to admit it or not, Jelena’s a new boss, which means she’s my boss and yours also. We still have an option to avoid that but you keep sitting on it”, Jude threw her a dirty sidelong glance.
His eyes beared gruesome annoyance and stress. He was tempted to run a nervous finger over his face and groan. The thought of this becoming a permanent situation only angered him even more. If only his stepmother wasn’t so stubborn.
“If sitting on it means I’m not being pushed around then yes I am siting on it. I will not let a fussing toddler run my organization”, Lionel pressed.
“This won’t be your organization for much longer if you keep acting like this”, Jude muttered back coldly.
Lionel closed her eyes, breathed in and exhaled softly. “Jude, don’t let Jelena get to you too much. She won’t be here for much longer”, she placed a hand on his arm encouragingly.
He gave her a skeptical glare. “Doubtful”, raising the Vodka shot to his lips. He swallowed, letting the burning sensation spike down his throat.
After those morning meetings, he needed something to loosen him up.
Lionel pursed her lips into a sly smile and gave him a wink. “You’ll see”.
She wouldn’t elaborate too keenly on the full details of her previous meeting in the conference room.  Some things were better left unsaid. The surprise would hit the dance captain soon enough.
At the right moment and at the perfect time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Holding the ball between both hands, Derek eyed the basket from where he stood. He prepped his feet back before jumping up and releasing the ball. It bounced around the rim a little before swishing into the basket smoothly.
“Jumpshot”, he said to himself, proudly.
He was relieved to be away from all those reporters. Right after that Ellen interview aired there were more than a dozen online blog outlets calling for his take on what happened. Derek didn’t know how many times his agent had to say ‘No’ before they understood.
While blogs took it as a chance to pounce on the Devil, fans took it as a chance to clown him. That slap had been on YouTube replay for the past hour and parody videos were already starting to be released. For once, the Emperor felt like he wasn’t the one laughing at something but the something everyone was laughing at.
He was staying as far away from social media as he could with things going the way they were right now. He’d wait until he got the okay from his agent.
Derek prepared himself to reach for the ball when he caught sight of a pair of bronze strap heels standing near the basket.
His gaze didn’t have to take him further to know that it was Ahsha.
“I thought you would be in here”, Ahsha remarked, half smiling at him.
Without realizing it, Derek let a genuine grin play against his lips. He hadn’t been expecting her. After having breakfast together yesterday morning at  her apartment, the two had yet to determine where things stood between them. Derek was positive there was still something there for them to explore. He wasn’t so sure if Ahsha thought the same.
“Shooting hoops?” she raised a brow at him curiously.
“Yeah”, he nodded, his eyes never leaving hers.
Ahsha waited a moment, gathering her thoughts. “I saw the interview”, she stated.
Her warm brown eyes lingered on him for a moment. She didn’t give a second thought to making her way closer to him.
Derek’s eyes fell lowly. He didn’t know what to expect her reaction to be. Ahsha could be a very complicated woman sometimes. Where at times what he assumed her reactions to be were far, far from what she actually had. He’d spent enough of his pre-adult life trying to figure out this woman.
“And?” he offered, baiting her to continue.
He heard her heavy sigh and turn her head to the bleachers.
“And...I felt guilty”, she spoke truthfully.
His eyes narrowed in confusion. Guilty?
He had no idea where that sentiment could possibly be coming from, if anything that was what he should be feeling; among others.
“I felt guilty knowing that I pushed myself on you like this to get you and in return I didn’t think about what it would do to her. What it would make her look like”, she continued, her gaze dropped to the court pattern. She couldn’t bring her face to look directly at him. It was a mixed feeling of shame and embarrassment, emotions she never held before.
“Pushed yourself on me? Ahsha what are you talking about?” Derek repeated, growing more and more confused. He was finding it hard to grasp the meaning of her words. It was like throwing a coin over a wall that just kept bouncing back to you. Useless.
“Derek, when I saw you again that day. My first time in the arena, I...I just missed you. A lot. I wanted you back but you know how I am, I don’t try to come off too needy. That’s not for me”, she confessed, her voice felt shaky and her lips felt numb.
Something she swore herself not to do but couldn’t help herself in that moment. The admission made her feel entirely weak and powerless. Ahsha always had a strong hatred for those women who spent close to an hour telling a man they loved them and wanted to be with them and try again, and all that shit. To her, a woman was meant to exert confidence not let herself be low and demeaned into submission but standing there she forgot all her previous theories.
All her previous “golden rules”, all her previous relationship philosophies, and most importantly all her previous restrictions from having what she needed the most in her life.
Derek.
“And?” Derek asked again, fighting to keep his sly smirk buried. Ahsha had no idea how relieved her words made him. He was no longer empty or lost like he had been that morning.
Standing here on the court listening to the woman he loved confess to these feelings was better than any amount of money he could ever have. And he meant that.
“And..I was thinking after you apologized to that girl maybe we could talk about working this out. Only after”, she finished, letting her eyes drift finally up to his own.
Derek was smiling all through this until he heard the word apologize. His eyebrows formed a knotted frown.
“Why do you want me to apologize to her? I thought you didn’t care for her”, he wondered, crossing his arms against his chest.
“Oh, don’t worry I don’t care about that bitch but how you did her was foul. And while it is very wrong of me to take you from her like this, it’s also wrong of you to humiliate her like that. Ho’s are ho’s but at the end of the day we’re all women and we do have feelings”, she emphasized the last part. The way she had her left brow raised at him defied her words exactly.
She meant that.
Derek nodded acceptingly. He wasn’t at odds with apologizing to Dahlia but he didn’t know if she would be willing to accept it. The Dahlia he had experienced at Ellen certainly wasn’t.
“Fine and then...we talk about us?” Derek prompted. He gave her a teasing look.
“Look Derek if you’re just gonna keep playing me then you can kiss my ass. I don’t ha...”, she was cut off from insulting him when he pulled her into his chest. He wrapped an arm around her waist and placed his head in the crook of her neck.
“I missed you too”, he whispered in her ear.
Hearing his deep voice melted Ahsha even more against his tall frame. His favorite cologne scent and the warmth that resonated from his body to her own couldn’t have made her feel more at home.
He was her home.

Slam Dunk Chapter Three
Tumblr media
You guys didn’t think I’d be this quick with editing, did you? Neither did I haha. Okay, you guys have waited long enough for this chapter, here it is!
Slam Dunk Chapter 3
Previously on Slam Dunk
“So, tell me more about this Francesca.”
Chapter 3
"She's great. She's a doctor. A vet, actually. A huge animal lover, and she's such a sweet person." Derek answers, his face lights up as he talks about the woman.
Ahsha feels jealousy running though her body as Derek concludes his comment. How dare another woman though her body as Derek concludes his comment. How dare another woman enter the picture when the wounds of the divorce haven't even healed?
"Has she met the kids yet?" She inquires, crossing her arms over her thin frame.
The thought of Derek welcoming another woman in the presence of their kids scared her. The kids having two women they call mom, worries her more than she will ever admit.
"We've talked about her meeting the kids and she's a little nervous about it, she doesn't want them thinking she's taking you place." The dancer folds her arms and rolls her eyes.
"Sure, she doesn't." She scoffs, alarming Derek at the change in behavior.
"Aren't you happy for me?" He asks, wondering if she is jealous and throws his head into his hands. Having Ahsha jealous was not part of his plan.
"How dare you Derek," Ahsha starts through clenched teeth. "You just had sex with me in here and then you tell me about this new girl right after when I thought we would be able to fix this thing between us, and then have the nerve to ask if I'm happy for you!"
"Look we can always be friends, Ahsh."
The dancer drops down to the floor, pulling her knees up to her head and throws her head into her lap no longer wanting to hear Derek’s mouth.
"Ahsha?"
"Can you stop talking?" She angrily snaps, slightly hurting Derek's feelings.
"I-"
"Derek!" She screams out once again, ready to bash the man's head against the wall.
The young ex lovers sit on the floor, shoulders touching, with words unspoken gracing the tip of their tongues.
Ahsha Hayes-Roman thought she had moved on from her ex husband of seventeen years but was obviously proven wrong. The love that she had for Derek ran deeper than her heart could ever allow at the moment.
To say she was not bothered by Francesca, no matter how sweet the woman was, is an understatement. The mere thought of Derek's lips on another woman's made her insides turn.
"Derek?" Ahsha asks as another silent moment passes the two of them.
"Yeah?"
Ahsha shakes her head and places it into her palms, not being able to stomach losing Derek and brings her knees up to her chest. The reality of being stuck in an elevator with her ex husband put the queasy feeling back into her stomach all over again.
"Are you okay?" Derek asks as he noticed Ahsha's breathing growing heavier.
Hot tears of fear and anger rush down his ex wife's face, slightly alarming him.
The light in the elevator shuts off only to be replaced by a small light in the ceiling.
"I'm fine!" She barks back, wiping her face.
"Have you forgotten that I know you off the back of my hand? You're not fine." Derek states in a calm matter, pissing Ahsha off all the more.
An aggravated Ahsha slams her hands down on the floor of the elevator, ready to smack Derek all over again.
The former baller inches closer to his ex wife and crosses his arms, looking down on her. "Ahsha."
A loud, aggravated sigh escapes the woman's lips. "Can you please, please, please, please, please, please, please, stop talking?" She pleads, quoting the famous Ernest Hemingway's Hills Like White Elephants.
"Hemingway. Nice."
Ahsha picks her head up and brings her hand up to smack Derek's smug smile off his attractive face, when Mr. Handsome himself grabs her hand in his.
She frowns and tries to remove her hand from his, so Derek furthers his teasing. Making his ex wife squirm was something that made Derek quite proud.
Ahsha climbs into Derek's lap, still trying to free her hand. "Can you let go?" She asks, nearly shouting.
Realizing that her other hand is freed, she repeats the same cycle, when Derek grabs her other hand in his as well.
"You are an ass."
"And you're not?" He tells her, leaning closer to her, effortlessly taking the breath out her lungs.
"You and this cocky attitude. I honestly don't know why I ever married..." Derek cuts Ahsha off, chuckling as he leans his forehead against Ahsha’s, still holding on to her hands.
"You don't know why you married me?" He quizzes as her breath hitches in her throat.
"I-I..." The dancer stutters, amusing the man who is holding her hostage.
"You what?"
The elevator lights flicker back on and starts to move down, alarming the ex couple who had expected this affair to last all night.
The two silently wait for the elevator to reach the first floor, the events that occurred in the elevator were enough to traumatize both of them.
It was enough to keep them coming back to each other.
"Where'd you park?" Derek asks, noticing how dark it is outside as he heads to his car.
"I'm just around the corner."'
Derek stops dead in his tracks and looks at his ex wife who is about to go the opposite way from him.
"I can drive you there. I don't feel safe with you walking around the corner this late at night."
"I'll be fine."
Having no time for Ahsha and her stubbornness, Derek grabs her hand and leads her to his car. To say sparks didn't ignite inside these two when they touched would be an exaggeration.
"I'm not going to let you do that." He answers, slightly turning Ahsha on with the tired and aggressive bass in his voice.
"I'm sorry, since when are you allowed to play my guardian angel? I don't need to be babied."
"Can you stop being so stubborn?"
"Stubborn? Derek I can walk by myself."
Derek grabs the bridge of his nose as he gets to Ahsha's side of the car to open the door for her.
"And what? You get snatched? I’ll never see you again? The kids wouldn't be able to live with that." He answers, truthfully, also hiding the fact that he'd be heartbroken if something happened to his first love. Having something happen to Ahsha would tear him to pieces as well.
Ahsha Hayes-Roman is more than just his ex wife of seventeen years. She was one of the best friends that he has ever had, someone he confided in at all times. To lose someone as amazing as Ahsha all over again would be difficult for the man to handle.
A scoff escapes those perky lips as the dancer gets into the back seat car to avoid smacking her ex husband for the second time that night. "What about you?" She asks. Ignoring her question, Derek looks over and sees a certain someone calling him.
"Oh, no. Allow me to answer it." Ahsha smirks and grabs the phone, threatening to answer it, when Derek leaps into the car to grab the phone.
He reaches for Ahsha's stunned hand and grabs the phone, locking it and throwing it across from her in the driver's seat.
The woman lets out a loud sigh, leaving the man in front of her quite amused.
"Are you jealous?" Derek asks cockily, grinning at his ex wife.
"Of her? Oh please. We both know I can love you better than she can." She says with an amused expression on her face.
One thing that Derek Roman appreciates about Ahsha is her inability to realize that she admits nothing but the whole truth when she is completely exhausted.
"Oh, really?"
Ahsha rolls her eyes and slams her lips onto her ex husband's, taking Derek both by surprise for a second. Naturally Derek's hands fall where they have always fell whenever they kissed with this much power and force, straight to the hem of Ahsha's bottoms.
Derek moves his lips to Ahsha's jawline, kissing her all the way up to her ear. "And how is that?" He growls before snaking his large hands into her shirt and up her sports bra.
"I've known you since we were kids. Of all people you'd be an open book with, it..." she is cut off by Derek quickly removing and throwing her sports bra to the floor.
"Continue." He urges as his hot breath hits Ahsha's hard areola, making her jump a bit.
"Was always me. I know you better than you know yourself." She replies, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
Getting emotional in front of her ex husband was enough to make her quiet. Little did she know, her ex husband felt the same.
So much for saying she knows him off the back of his hand.
To distract herself, she pulls Derek's face back up and peppers his soft pillow-like lips with kisses as she pulls his pants down, taking his hard piece into her small hands.
Derek becomes putty in Ahsha's hands, making her smile against his lips when he moans while kissing her. Moving her hands even faster, Ahsha closes her eyes as Derek pulls her closer, continuing to mess with the hem of her leggings.
Leaving Derek at his peak, Ahsha moves her hand slower, tightening up her grip even more. Derek struggles to hold on and lightly bites down on Ahsha's shoulder, sexily moaning in his ex wife’s ear.
Derek's warm liquids spill over Ahsha's hand which she shrugs off.
"I'm sick of these leggings." Derek expresses out loud, coming off his high and pulls down Ahsha's black leggings along with her lacy navy blue thong.
"Wearing Vic for me, I see." He teasers, causing Ahsha to laugh and roll her eyes at him.
"Sure, Derek." She jokes while Derek moves hard piece up and down Ahsha's center, teasing her. He connects their lips together, running his tongue across her bottom lip. Their mouths continue to explore each other's as Derek continues to tease Ahsha.
Quiet moans escape the dancer's lips as the man slowly slides himself inside of her.
Ahsha starts to grind her hips on Derek's hard piece, turning him on even more by her slow wind.
Derek matches Ahsha's slow movements, looking into her brown eyes filled with more than just lust but with something neither of them can admit, love.
Ahsha places her hands on his stubbly jaws causing Derek to kiss her again as he quietly moans into the kiss.
The two move to open mouth kisses accompanied by Ahsha's fast breathing due to Derek changing the pace.
The man can barely hold on inside of Ahsha's slick core and pumps wildly, taking the dancer by surprise.
Derek removes one hand from Ahsha's waist and uses the other to stimulate her even further, nearly making her cry from pleasure. To add to this, he pulls away from the dancer's swollen pink lips and moves down to the sweet spot on her neck.
"Shit. Shit. Shittttttt." Ahsha whimpers as she is close to her peak, shaking her legs.
"I know." Derek whispers, his voice sounding a mixture of tired and close to his peak as well.
Derek continues to thrust even faster, nearly causing Ahsha to fall out of the seat, amusing them both.
Fingernails bore into his back and shoulders as his pace slows down and he releases himself into his former lover at the same time she did.
Coming off their high, Derek lovingly bores his eyes into Ahsha's, his heart melting at her tired beauty.
He carefully lifts her up and slides out of her, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
The two dress themselves all over again and sit next to each other, completely silent about the event that had just taken place.
The love filled silence lasts until a cell phone rings with a concerned veterinarian calling. The two scramble for the phone when Ahsha grabs it and answers it, placing it up to her ear and hears a soft voice on the other end.
"Hey. I was just calling to see if you were okay. It's not like you to not answer your phone." The woman on the other end says.
Out of instinct, Ahsha answers the phone. "Yeah, Derek's fine. Who is this?"
"I'm sorry, who are you? Oh, I must have the wrong number!" The girl frantically replies, shaking now that she heard Ahsha's voice which did not sound amused or pleasant.
"I'm Ahsha. Who are you?" She asks in an irritated manner as Derek tries to grab the phone from her again. Keeping the man in check, Ahsha holds her hand up.
"I'm Francesca. It's good that Derek's fine. Thanks for letting me know."
Ahsha rolls her eyes at the woman's sickeningly sweet voice. "Why is she so nice?" She asks herself.
"Mhm." Ahsha answers, what is this, jealousy? The woman had never had a jealous bone in her body when it came to females, she had gotten her fair share of them for eighteen years. What makes this any different? Derek was now attracted to another woman and that right there put the jealous bone in her body.
"Okay, well, see ya."
"Byeeee." Ahsha drags out, hanging up the phone and passes it to a pissed off Derek.
Francesca's house
The woman on the other end of that phone call sits in bed with her legs up to her chest as her best friend Claire walks into the room with a pint of ice cream.
"Ces, what's wrong?" She asks, seeing the woman looking upset and disturbed about the events that went down.
"I spoke to Ahsha." She simply states before laying down, not wanting any parts of Claire's company nor her suggestions.
"What did she say?"
"Derek's fine, but Claire, I'm certain that he's still in love with her and I'm just the distraction." Francesca buries her head in her hands, ready to go to bed.
"You can't just jump to a conclusion like t-" The brunette cuts her best friend off and starts to speak. Who was Claire to tell her that she jumped to conclusions when she didn't even hear one bit of the awkward conversation on the phone?
"Ahsha answered the phone! Why would Derek be with her if he didn't still love her?" She asks, feeling fed up with her best friend trying to get her to open up. If Francesca Rose Hill wanted to be stubborn, she could be without her best friend getting in her way, but the two knew that was not going to happen.
"Fran."
"Claire. I'm over it and I'm going to bed. Goodnight."
"But Fran." Claire calls again, trying to get her quiet best friend to open up more.
"Goodnight, Claire!" Francesca screams, her voice cracking, breaking her best friend's heart.
The blonde simply walks out of the room feeling glum as her best friend cuddles with her dog and heads to bed with her broken heart.
Kyle's house
"She's still not answering." Kyle huffs as she shoves a handful of popcorn into her mouth after marching downstairs for a midnight snack.
"I'm telling you, she's being dicked down by Derek right now." Jelena jokes, trying to provide some light to this situation.
"Maybe we should call Derek?" The blonde suggests, rubbing her temples.
Jelena reaches for her iPhone 7 and starts to dial the familiar number in her phone and waits for an answer. "Put it on three way." Jelena suggests.
Derek and Ahsha
"Who told you to answer my phone?" Derek asks again, boring his eyes into the woman seated next to him wearing a smug smile.
"What? She wanted to know if you were okay and that's exactly what I told her." Ahsha replies as Derek answers Kyle's call. The man chuckles at the response given by his former wife and looks at her, putting his phone down.
"Whether you like it or not Ahsha, I'm moving on and I'm not going to let you get in the way of that."
"The divorce papers aren't even finalized yet and you're thinking about moving on. We just had sex and you're thinking about moving on. You should've clarified that before we got this far." Ahsha snaps, throwing her hands up and feeling heated about what happened.
"Had you not thrown yourself on me..."
The woman practically freezes, ready to go crazy, but allows herself some composure.
"Don't you dare say I threw myself on you! Was it not you who kissed me first, or stayed in the rehearsal studio with me? Was it not you who had sex with me? Derek, we both know you could've left. Don't try me today." She says, rubbing her temples. The man is speechless and looks away from Ahsha, feeling guilty for what he said to her.
The couple stay quiet in the car and hear a woman's thick country accent in the background.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Kyle." Ahsha says, awkwardly. Hearing her best friend on the other end of that phone was enough to catch her off guard. It was enough to put her back into check about her actions.
"Ahsha, where are you?"
"Derek and I got stuck in the elevator at work. I'm on my way over now. Derek was just driving me back to my car since I'm parked far."
On the other end of the phone, the blonde looks over at her best friend, raising her eyebrows at her and scrambles to find a response. The three women knew inside that the situation Ahsha kept throwing herself into was something
"Okay. I'll see you when you get here babe." Kyle answers before hanging up the phone feeling a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach in regards to her best friend.
Derek stuffs his phone into his pocket and looks at Ahsha.
"Let's go." He says in a cold manner, making Ahsha shiver a bit.
The businessman starts the car and drives around the corner to his ex wife's black Jeep and watches her scramble for her things.
"Thanks for driving me." Ahsha mumbles, feeling her body numb at Derek's cold manner towards her.
The man doesn't say a word as she climbs out of his car and back into her own. He waits for her to start her car, an interesting gesture, and drives back home to call his upset girlfriend.
Ahsha lets out an exasperated sigh and makes the familiar route to her house, quietly playing Banks’ Better as the sun starts to rise, concentrating on the deep lyrics.
How couldn’t you see?
All the water’s cold
While you lied to me
You hide in a hole
And why don’t you see?
Baby try, try to see
I can love you better than she can
The young mother arrives home around five in the morning, feeling her heart break as she climbs into her cold fluffy bed, wishing the man she once loved was by her side all over again.
Derek Roman is officially, unofficially, hers to have and to hold, forever. Or not.
I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter and I hope it was well worth the wait!
Thank you for reading :)

Slam Dunk Chapter 2
Tumblr media
I’m back! I had the worst case of writer’s block (always happens for some reason) and a super busy past two weeks, along with a birthday!
I deeply apologize for keeping you guys waiting on this chapter (well two chapters because I said I would have chapter 3 up, but that has yet to be written) but here it is!
If you haven’t read chapter 1 yet, here is the link.
Thank you all for being so patient with me, and for leaving reviews, reblogs, and likes!
Let’s get on with chapter 2 now!
It had been two weeks since the incident at the Roman mansion and Ahsha Hayes had been a roller coaster of emotions. The routine of smiling throughout the day and being up all night became her new norm.
As her best friends, Jelena and Kyle made it an effort to spend as much time as they could with Ahsha, making sure that she was not spinning out on her heartbroken emotions.
On Friday nights while the kids spent time with Derek for the weekend the three young mothers would get together and have wine and pizza night. Last weekend, wine and pizza night turned out to be an utter fail when Ahsha sobbed uncontrollably, giving Jelena and Kyle a sense of lost hope.
"We need a plan." Jelena says as she takes a sip of her Starbucks cold brew.
"What? Torture her into talking about the divorce?" Kyle jokingly assumes. Jelena frowns at her best friend who stuffs a piece of pound cake in her mouth.
"I say we stage an intervention with the both of them." Kyle says, making Jelena almost choke on her coffee.
"Are you crazy? She'd never do that."
"That's the point, J, she won't. Look we know how stubborn Ahsha is, and we know how stubborn Derek is as well. Making them talk it out would work."
"But how are we going to get them together?" Jelena inquires, cooking up a plan in her devious little head of her’s.
"Maybe the guys can help us." Kyle suggests. Little does Mrs. Hart-Wall know, the guys would become great help.
Another successful weekend set the tone for a successfully great week at work for Ahsha. Pizza and wine night gave the young mother something to look forward to and seemed to make the work week go by quickly for Ahsha.
The thing that she enjoyed most about her job is that she could dance and unwind, and do what she loves to do best, help people develop a love for dance.
Little does she know, this Friday night holds different plans.
"Are you guys excited for pointe tonight?" She asks her class of ten advanced pointe dancers who put their pointe shoes on after an hour of stretching. The last twenty minutes of her dance class are usually spent going over choreography.
The girls sigh and nod their heads, making Ahsha giggle. No one said pointe was easy, putting your feet into a small boxed shoe and standing on your toes hurt.
You're also expected to dance perfect as well. Does pointe still sound fun? To Ahsha, it was a dream come true when she first took pointe.
Ahsha's feet are sore, having just got out of teaching her five PM beginner's pointe class. Among the students in the beginner's pointe class is Mackenzie who adores standing on her toes.
Derek opposed the idea of seeing his little girl on her toes at ten and a half years old, but with reassurance and convincing thanks to Katharine and Kyle, his mind was at ease. Ahsha is his daughter's mother and that made him trust that his baby girl was in great hands.
The young mother laces her shoes and tucks the laces underneath each other. Taking a sigh she stands en pointe, doing frappe's and battements while waiting for her students to finish lacing their shoes.
"Okay let's start." Ahsha tells her class once her last student finishes tying her shoes.
"We’re going to practice going up in relevé and holding it while trying to move our hips." She tells them and demonstrates. The whole class joins in.
"Perfect. Next we're going to work on simple chaîné turns across the floor. Together, for the few of you afraid of going across individually." She says and looks at her students who put their heads down.
"Hey. I've been there. Even when I was a Devil Girl." She implies, cheering up her students who love to hear about her Devil Girl stories.
The dancers go across the floor in their chaîné turns and then work on their pirouettes.
"Okay, now the recital piece." Ahsha excitedly chimes.
The girls move across the floor in sync, making their dance teacher proud.
Ahsha notices some of her dancers looking sore and exhausted, she looks at the clock and notices that class is over for the day. "That's enough pointe work for today. Remember ladies, Wednesday is the last pointe class before recital week so it's very important that you're here."
The girls, including Ahsha eagerly take off their pointe shoes. Ahsha takes off her gel pads and put them back into her shoes. "I need to try lambs wool." She tells herself.
"I'll see you guys next week." She says as each one of her students waves goodbye to her and leaves for the week.
"See you next week Ms. Ahsha!"
"See you later, Ashley!" Ahsha calls out, taking a sigh of relief that she is done for the night.
It is now seven o'clock and Ahsha decides that she does not want to leave the dance studio yet. Pizza and wine can wait another hour or so.
Putting on her shoes, she grabs her belongings and places them by the door. "Thank God I grabbed everything before leaving my office." She says to herself.
A particular person stands outside of the window watching their ex wife's hips sway to the music and dance fluidly as if she was on air. Ahsha does a dip to the floor and continues dancing her heart out without knowledge of the business man's presence.
Derek stands and watches as Ahsha continues to move across the floor, turning him on with every move she makes.
He walks into the room as the song changes to the sexy tango playlist on her phone. Ahsha goes into ballet, still keeping up the sexy choreography. She spins and grabs her leg, holding it over her head. Letting go of her leg, she leaps into a firebird.
"Oh my God!" She screams and turns off the music, clutching her chest, now aware of the presence of her former lover.
Derek can't help but laugh at his ex wife's scared reaction and closes the door behind him.
"I came to pay for the girls' dance classes and heard the music playing. I wanted to see if you were up here." He replies nervously, biting his lip.
Ahsha breathes out and nods her head. "Okay. Thank you for letting me know." She says, adding a light chuckle.
"Listen, about what happened two weeks ago..." Ahsha starts to cut him off, still feeling a little bothered about what happened between them.
"It was out of line, I know. It will never happen again."
Derek's face falls and he feels his stomach hit his feet. "I wasn't going to say..." Cutting him off again, Ahsha starts to speak what comes to her mind.
"Then what were you going to say, Derek? He speaks! After a year the man finally has words coming out of his mouth! Wow."
He shakes his head and starts again. "If you would let me finish, we can get somewhere."
Ahsha pushes past Derek and grabs her things walks out the door, leaving him behind her. Not a care in the world crossed Ahsha's mind when it came to Derek's thoughts.
"Ahsha!"
"You know, I find it hilarious how you have so much to say now, but you spent two years barely saying a word to me. The only time we ever had some form of communication was when it came to our kids!" She shouts at him, taking him aback by her actions.
"I didn't mean..."
"I don't want to hear that you didn't mean it! You hurt me Derek! You mean to tell me that you didn't mean to hurt me? What about the kids? You didn't mean to hurt them either?" Ahsha quizzes, tears threatening to fall down her face.
The two make it to the elevator and Derek presses the down button.
"I'm not getting on that elevator with you." She snaps, quickly wiping her tears away.
"The stairs are under maintenance, what are you going to do? Take the window?" Ahsha rolls her eyes at Derek's sarcastic comment and silently waits for the elevator.
“I’d gladly jump out the window to avoid seeing your face again, but we all can’t get what we want.” She bitterly retorts.
The elevator took a few seconds to come but to Ahsha it felt like eternity. The sooner she could be out of the presence of her ex husband, the better.
Derek lets Ahsha step on the elevator first and he steps on right after. Ahsha clicks the button for the first floor and crosses her arms.
The tension between the two is entirely too difficult to cut with a knife and being in this elevator does not help.
“Why are you so bitter?”
A cold chuckle leaves Ahsha’s plump lips. “Don’t ask me that.”
Ahsha sighs as the elevator starts to move, thinking about how she would be able to get away from Derek.
The lights in the elevator flicker, startling Ahsha. The elevator makes a loud screeching noise and comes to a complete halt at the second floor.
Throwing her head into her hands, Ahsha sighs and places her bags down. She lets out a groan and starts to hyperventilate, being stuck in tight enclosed spaces has always freaked her out.
"Where's your phone?" Ahsha asks. Derek touches his pockets and his eyes widen.
"I left it in my truck."
"Of course you did. You know, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be stuck in this predicament."
"No, no. I wouldn't be stuck in this predicament, but you would. Hey, I'm just here to keep you company." Derek continues, getting a kick out of catching Ahsha with her own words.
"Well thank you so much for being my knight in shining armor. You're ever so kind!" She sarcastically yells.
"What did I do to you? What's up with the attitude?"
Ahsha feels her blood fuming and she clenches her fists.
"What did you do? We had sex after two years! Two fucking years, Derek! We were married, things were going great between us, and you let whatever you had going on get in the middle of it. You lied to me, kept secrets, and shut me out. How do you come back and act like nothing ever happened?" Ahsha asks.
Derek instantly grabs Ahsha and presses a kiss to her lips in the dark elevator. He backs her up against the wall and moves his lips down her body.
"You really think that I'm about to have sex with you in this eleva..." Ahsha starts. She is cut off by Derek hitting her weak spot, making her squirm at his touch.
"Fuck." She says under her breath as Derek's fingers find the swollen gland in between her legs. He picks her legs up, removing her shoes.
Ahsha's nails dig into Derek's back as his hands do the work on her body.
"You're not supposed to be doing this." She scolds herself as Derek's kisses become firmer, making her cry out in pleasure.
The dancer becomes clay in Derek's hands as he slides his fingers into her parts.
The heated situation goes completely over Ahsha's head and before she knows it, she pulls down Derek's pants.
Her moans turn into loud screams as Derek's movements become faster. With one swift hand, he pulls Ahsha's underwear and leggings off.
Without thought, he slides his wet fingers out of his ex wife and licks the juices off his fingers as Ahsha tries to catch her breath.
"Jump." He says, his voice deep, laced with lust.
The dancer jumps and Derek catches her, sliding himself right into her wet, slick folds.
"And what was that you said about not having sex with me in here?" Derek whispers in his ex lover's ear, turning her on with his dark, sexy voice.
Losing her voice in the presence of her ex husband was unexpected, but the hold he has over her is inevitable.
"Fuck!" She screams in his ear once again as he pounds harder against her. Losing his balance, Derek slams Ahsha's back onto the wall causing her to gasp for air in the hot elevator.
Derek's hot, minty breath against her chest was enough to send the dancer into overdrive. She clings to her ex lover's neck as his sloppy kisses on her neck turn into possessive love bites.
"I'm close." She whispers in his ear as he pounds her harder.
"You can release when I tell you." He whispers back huskily, trailing his rough kisses down to her perky breasts.
Ahsha closes her eyes and succumbs to the sensation on her body.
Derek boldly nibbles lightly on Ahsha's hard areolas causing her to nearly fall down the wall.
"Shittttt!" She groans as he moves to the other breast, repeating his actions with more aggression.
"Please, Derek!"
The former baller’s warm liquids seep down Ahsha’s legs as he continues to thrust hard against her body, making her envious.
Knowing Ahsha would lose control, Derek's finger slowly traces Ahsha's throbbing vulva as his rough movements continue.
The dancer's red fingernails bore into the tall man's back as she bites his shoulder hard to avoid calling his name once more.
"What was that?" Derek teases as Ahsha squirms underneath him in pure ecstasy. She shakes her head as his fingers grown more firm against her body.
"Nothing." She whimpers and crashes her lips against his, causing Derek to chuckle.
Derek bites Ahsha's lip as he caresses her back, making her shiver. The dancer's hot minty breath hits Derek's face as his left hand squeezes Ahsha's bare ass.
"Go." He whispers. Ahsha nearly collapses as she climaxes, tightly holding on to Derek.
There is nothing Derek Roman loves more than watching Ahsha squirm underneath him.
He removes his hand from her center and slides out of her, capturing his lips with hers, letting her come down from her high.
"Ahsha, what the hell are you doing?"
"What do I mean what am I doing? I needed this. Right, but I'm also no longer married to him." Ahsha contemplates back and forth to herself.
Taking a deep breath along with gathering her thoughts, she pulls away from her ex husband's body, grabbing her maroon laced thong and leggings.
The two awkwardly change into their undergarments and athletic wear without mumbling a word to each other.
"Ahsha, I didn't mean for this to happen." Derek sighs.
"What? You doing me on the elevator? Or doing me in our old house? Not speaking to me about something other than the kids until now?" She scoffs.
"Yeah." He answers cockily, causing Ahsha to bore daggers into his face with her glare. If looks could kill, Derek Roman would be on his way to his deathbed.
"And why is that? I was fulfilling all your little pleasures, right? What? I should've blown you instead, right? That would’ve made you happier." She sarcastically remarks.
"No! No, no. Ahsha, calm down."
"Then what is it Derek? I deserve the truth after the way things ended with the divorce." She implies, making Derek shake.
"Look Ahsha, I'm in the process of getting to know someone right now and I really don't want what you and I are doing to ruin the chances of she and I starting a relationship."
Ahsha nods her head and purses her lips as Derek talks about the mystery lady. “I see.”
"Her name is Francesca and she..." Derek Roman is cut off with a smack to the face, his mouth hung open, while a rage filled Ahsha feels sick to her stomach.
Back at her apartment, a woman sits by her phone waiting for a certain businessman to call her phone.
"Have you heard from him yet?" Her best friend asks her as she takes a seat next to her while the soft sounds of Banks' Someone New plays on the record player.
"Nope. He must be busy with his kids."
The woman's best friend nods her head at the comment.
"How do you feel about them, better yet, his ex wife?"
The woman takes a deep breath and answers the hard, yet deep question that the other woman asked.
"They're adorable. I haven't met them yet, but they look so sweet. Their mother, Ahsha, and Derek were married for seventeen years. I haven't met her either but she seems so down to earth, I don't want to feel like I'd be taking her place, you know, Claire?"
Claire takes her blonde hair and places it into a high messy bun. "It's too late for that, Francesca, but look, Ahsha will be fine." The thought of tearing a family apart shakes Francesca to the core, for the sale of Claire she ignores her feelings.
Little does Claire know, Ahsha’s two best friends have just spoken those same four words.
"I'm sure she's at the dance studio." Jelena chimes into her phone as she eats a piece of her flaky croissant.
"She would've called by now."
"Kyle, Ahsha's fine, she's probably getting dicked down right now. She’s allowed to skip pizza night for D-Ro’s D." She teases, making her best friend laugh.
"Mommy, what's di-"
"Joshua Adam Hart! Go back to bed!" She shrieks, scaring the poor five year old.
"Babe, he was just curious." Zero teases, wrapping his arms around his wife's waist and pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"Yeah, don't yell at my nephew." Kyle pipes, making the couple laugh.
"You can have him. Come get your brother too." She teases, pressing a kiss to Zero's lips.
The two women sigh over the phone.
"The kids are over Sloane and Pete’s and tomorrow they’ll be at John and Eleanor’s then there’s cake and ice cream for Ken’s birthday We can postpone pizza night to tomorrow night and have it at your place. I just want Ahsha to be happy." Jelena responds, feeling her heart breaking.
"She deserves to be happy, J. Wait why is pizza night at my house tomorrow?"
“Because we all know how much T misses his bro and how much my little nieces and nephew miss their cousins.” She teases.
Kyle giggles and playfully rolls her eyes as Terrence climbs into bed with her and kisses her shoulder. “Fine, pizza night at my house it is.”
The thought of pizza night crosses Ahsha’s mind as her stomach growls, but food quickly becomes the last thing on her mind. The elevator grows hot and clammy as Ahsha's insides turn, making her feel faint and nauseous.
"So, tell me more about this Francesca."

Awesome #Dersha fanfiction 💜
Finding My Way Back
Okay so I decided to write another story. Its set somewhere in season 3. I wanted to take a little twist.
I can’t believe she fired me. I didn’t do anything wrong! How could she?! The very person who helped me keep my job is the same person who pulled it right from beneath my feet. Lionel Davenport. My step mother. And now she’s running the Devil’s Organization! Just my luck! It’s time I go, there’s nothing here for me anymore. Derek doesn’t want me, and after some one like “DEREK ROMAN” you don’t backtrack to the German Vega’s of the world. A new place, a new team, and a new journey. I have to find my own way.
Basketball season was set to start in about a month and today, today was tryouts for the Knicks. She was a long way from home, but Ahsha was determined to do it on her own. No Sloane, No Pete, No Derek. She talked to Kyle every now and again, but even she didn’t know what Ahsha had planned to do. Day one of tryouts was a walk in a park for Ahsha. These girls here didn’t have the skills of her girls back home, but she would make it work. Day two came with a little spin. The girls were split into groups of eight. One girl would be designated choreographer and have to choreograph a dance for the group as well as a solo one with a prop for themselves. It would be shown live and whomever got the most votes who make the teams out out five groups only three would make it. Ahsha’s team had the strongest dancers and of course they designated her for choreographer. When it was their turn they started with Ahsha’s solo dance. Her prop was a chair and her song was “Tinashe- 2 on.” The beat dropped and the girls looked in all as Ahsha gave it her all and did it so effortlessly. She gave so much of herself that other girls from other groups stood up dancing and rooting for her as she finished her solo piece. Her group then got up, positioning themselves in opposite corners of the gym with Ahsha in the center, they danced to the “Flawless remix” by Beyonce’ and Nicki Minaj. The way these girl moved everyone already knew that this team would without a doubt be the team to beat. Certainly one of the chosen three.
Back in Los Angeles, the Devil Girls and the Basketball team were doing their usual bonding ritual. They all sat in the arena watching the tryouts for other teams and who’d they happen to see, killing her solo piece but Ahsha! Kyle jumped up, “…oh my heavens! That’s Carebear! You better move girl!” she screamed. In total shock, they all rooted for Ahsha. Derek couldn’t unglue his eyes from the screen. The girl he loved, had left and never even said goodbye. But then again he never checked on her either. But he guessed he had alot of blame in that considering the way he broke her in front of everybody. But she had made her choice, she chose German. Or so he thought. Even Sloane was at a loss for words. After firing her daughter all those months ago she hadn’t spoken to her. Knowing only that she was okay threw her now husband Pete. But no one was as shocked as Jelena; who just knew she had broken Ahsha’s spirits! She would’ve never thought she would go dance anywhere else. Caught up in her own thoughts until she was brought out of her trance when she heard, “forget that! We need Carebear! Look at how that girl moves. No other team has outdanced us, but Ahsha’s sure to change that.
Derek twitted with his phone between his fingers as he hesitated to text Ahsha. He didn’t know where to begin he didn’t know what to say. But he just needed answers. He tried to escape her but she was everywhere. From posters, to music videos, sitcoms, interviews. Ahsha was living the life! And he could only wonder who was living it with her. "We should be a team, we should be running LA together!” Were the thoughts that crossed Derek’s mind most of the time. He too had taken it to the next level. Nike commercials, shoe deal, and AT&T endorsements. All great accomplishments, but they meant nothing because the person who helped him get there wasn’t around to bask in the glory with him. But he decided against it. “She won’t answer or you’ll get all worked up and say something hurtful and she’ll never talk to you again.” Derek thought to himself. He looked down at his roster on his desk to see that he’d see her real soon….he’d make it his business that he and Ahsha would cross paths REAL soon.
First game of the season, the Devil’s played away, in you guessed it New York City! The guys entered the stadium on their way to their designated locker room. The filed in and as they did, they heard, “DAD! Heyyy…Pete!” They whipped around to see an estatic Ahsha walking into the arms of her father Pete Davenport. Resting her head on his shoulder she looked up only to see the back of Derek Roman. He was dressed in a hoodie and jeans, with his beats on his ears as “No Mediocre” blarred out of them. She pulled from her father’s embrace and softly walked up behind him. She pulled them off his ears and said “typical Derek Roman song” chucking. “Hey,” she said smiling. “Hey you.” Derek said back. “You guys ready to take a beaten?” Ahsha teased. “Imagine that! New York hasn’t won a game in ages.” he shot back. “You want to bet?!” Ahsha said baiting him. “Derek Roman never turns down a bet.” he challenged. “….well Derek Roman, loser takes winner to dinner. Wherever they want to go.” she told him. “You’re on Ahsha Hayes!” Derek told her as he followed his teammates to the locker room. Ahsha walked away smiling. She was finally in a place where she felt that she and Derek could talk out their situation and atleast be friends. Although her heart and soul craved for more. Something in her spirit told her that Derek had moved on.

Slam Dunk Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Hello everyone! Welcome to the third and final part of the Defense series. I cannot wait for you guys to read this series, you’re in for a crazy ride!
Most of the chapters in this series will be inspired by Banks’ songs, the song inspo is real right now!
The song that I seeked inspiration from is, Alibi by Banks
Here is the link to the song
I hope you enjoy this first chapter.
-----
"Mom, can I stay over Dad's for dinner?" Mackenzie asks Ahsha who just came in from a long day at work at the dance studio. The mom had been working on choreography at her dance studio and was in need of a well deserved nap.
"Yes sweetheart. Where is your brother?"
"He's hanging out with Daddy. Do you want to speak to him?" The eleven year old has a sly smile on her face as she looks at her great aunt, Katharine.
Ahsha tenses up at the mention of Derek's presence and she finishes putting the papers into their appropriate files.
"No Ken, it's okay. I can just talk to him later."
"Ken, is that your mom?" Derek asks as he strolls into the room with Carter at his side, the two just finished watching basketball.
"Yeah, here dad!" Mackenzie cheers and practically throws the phone into her father's hands. Derek chuckles at his daughter and shakes his head.
"Thank you, Ken."
Derek and Ahsha have not spoken to each other in two years and had just finished with the finalization of their divorce.
"Hey." Derek answers the phone, letting out a light chuckle at Ahsha's incoherent rambling on the other end of the phone. He hopes that she says something to him over the phone.
"Hey. Derek, I have to go. I'll be at the mansion to pick up the kids around eight, if that's okay." She blurts out and smacks herself in the head for talking, grabbing her laptop.
"Yeah, it's fine Ahsh," Derek answers and his eyes widen at the mention of his wife's nickname, Ahsha's heart skips a beat. "Remember, you're always welcome over for dinner."
"Thanks Derek. I really need to go, I'm in the middle of something important. I'll talk to you later."
"Okay. Talk to you later." Derek retorts.
"Bye." Ahsha says and quickly hangs up the phone. She feels her heart racing once again and feels tears rushing to her eyes. She quickly wipes them away before they turn into full on sobs.
"You already cried over him last night. When are you going to stop?" She asks herself, unable to stop the tears from flowing this time.
Her phone rings once again and her heart races as she closes her laptop. She grabs the phone and realizes that Kyle is calling her phone.
"Hey Carebear!" The blonde answers excitedly. Little does Ahsha know, she is making her way up to her condo now.
"Hey." She answers the phone, sounding glum.
"Carebear? Spill it." Kyle drills, sensing the tone of her best friend's voice.
"I'm fine, Kyle." Kyle's phone cuts off and she knocks on Ahsha's large white door. Ahsha jumps up and opens the door for her best friend. Kyle walks right into her best friend’s condo and gives her best friend a tight, comforting hug as she cries in her arms.
"Sister intuition told me you weren't fine which is why I came over. Now spill it." Kyle says as she lets her best friend go and takes a seat next to her on the chair, putting her Celine bag on another chair.
"Derek invited me over for dinner and I don't know if I can go. Kyle I'm not even over him yet." Kyle nods her head in understanding and rubs Ahsha's back.
"I know it's been a year since the divorce and I know how hard it is seeing him everyday and not being able to still jump in his arms and tell him you love him. It's okay to still be upset. Getting over him is going to take some time, take as much of it as you need but don't rush it."
"I still love him." Ahsha admits for the first time since the day of the divorce being finalized.
"And that's okay, love." Ahsha wipes her tears away and wraps her arms tighter around Kyle, holding her close.
Ahsha's phone rings once again and she sees Derek's number pop up on the screen. Kyle gently rubs her back as she picks up the phone. "Hello?”
"Mommy can you please come for dinner? We're having chicken parmgon." Chloe answers. A chuckle escapes Ahsha’s lips, giving both her and Kyle some light at the end of the tunnel.
"Chloe it's parmapon." Lillianna answers, causing Mackenzie and Katharine to crack up at her.
"Sweetheart, it's Chicken Parmesan." Mackenzie says before taking the phone. Ahsha sits at the other end of the phone chuckling at her girls.
"Mom can you please come for dinner?" Ahsha’s eldest inquires.
"Please mom?" Carter says, standing next to his sister while his father is still busy preparing dinner in the kitchen.
"Pleaseeeee?" All four kids beg, warming Ahsha's heart.
"Fine, I'll come to dinner tonight. Auntie Kyle's coming too." Kyle's face has confusion written all over it.
"I'm doing what?" She asks.
"Okay mommy! I'll talk to you later, bye!" Mackenzie answers before she quickly hangs up the phone, seeing her father walking into the den.
"What are you guys doing?" Derek asks, noticing Mackenzie's nervous expression. Chloe and Lillianna look at each other with their eyes wide open.
"Nothing!" The twins exclaim at the same time.
"Chloe and Lilly are up to no good like always." Carter says, causing the twins to give him the side eye.
"They look just like Ahsha." Katharine laughs out loud as she sees the twins' little faces.
"Right?" Mackenzie chimes in and sits next to her great-aunt on the chair.
"I'm going to take the chicken out of the oven. Dinner should be ready in about fifteen minutes." Derek tells everyone and leaves the den.
"Kids." He scoffs as the thought of Ahsha coming for dinner crosses his mind.
Back at her apartment, Ahsha is now tapping away at the emails on her laptop while a million and one questions escape Kyle's lips.
"What if you two get back together again?"
"Kyle."
"Ahsha. I'm just asking Carebear, it's so obvious that you still love him."
"Really? How so?" The mother asks as she stops typing up the roll sheet for tomorrow's hip hop class. The conversation strikes a nerve and she tenses up.
"Shall we talk about when he walked in here with the twins yesterday? You couldn't stop staring at him." Kyle says as Ahsha looks down at her lap.
"Yeah. But."
"There's no buts Carebear. Plus you told me twenty minutes ago that you still love him. I may be blonde, but I'm not stupid. Let's go to dinner, I'm hungry." The blonde chuckles and wraps her arms around her best friend.
"I'm not driving." Ahsha tells her. The two best friends head out the door and get into Kyle's car.
En route to the mansion, Kyle starts to ask questions again. "So are you excited to finally talk to Derek?"
"I don't want to talk to him Kyle," Ahsha replies bitterly. "The last time he and I had a full conversation, it was the day I divorced him."
Kyle stays quiet and continues driving, knowing Ahsha's stubbornness will wear off after a while. "What?"
"Nothing."
"What, Kyle?"
"You don't think you guys gave up too easily? I get that he was hurt about Mary and that he decided to shut down, but you shut down on him too."
"Kyle, I really don't want to discuss why he and I divorced. I am trying to move on."
"Move on or keep stuff from me? Carter told me that you still cry in your sleep. I know today wasn't the first time you've cried like that." Kyle takes a glance at Ahsha before she pulls up to the red light.
"It happened once or twice."
"Not counting tonight. Last night, two nights ago?" Kyle asks, seeing Ahsha crumble.
The young mother looks out the window, feeling her heart racing. "Yeah."
The blonde stops the car and looks over at her friend again. "Like I said, It's okay to still be upset babe. You two have been divorced for a year, no one says you have to heal overnight."
"It's easy for you to say when you're married and you two are going strong, Kyle. Do you know how bad it hurts to see him everyday and know that what we had is gone?" Ahsha asks as tears fill the rim of her eyes.
Kyle pulls into the driveway at the mansion and hugs Ahsha after putting the car in park. "I can't go in there crying." Ahsha jokes and wipes her eyes.
"I'm right here, remember." Kyle tells her and grabs her hand.
"Thank you, Kyle."
The two get out of Kyle's car and walk to the door of the mansion. Kyle knocks as Ahsha stands there somewhat frozen in fear of what the evening holds.
Max the Pit Bull barks in excitement as he smells Ahsha's scent and runs in circles around Katharine who makes her way to the door. “Calm down, buddy.”
Katharine opens the door and beams as she sees Ahsha. "I missed you!"
"I saw you earlier at dance, Kath." Ahsha chuckles and hugs Katharine back.
Max waits for Katharine to stop hugging Ahsha before he jumps on her and then jumps back down. "Max!" Ahsha coos and plays with the large dog who is very excited to see her.  He excitedly rolls over and lets her rub his stomach. He snorts out loud and moves his large legs as Ahsha reaches his ticklish spot.
"Mommy!" The twins scream and run to their mother. Ahsha perks up and stops rubbing Max. The dog gets up and runs out of the room, going to greet Derek in the kitchen.
"Hi my babies!" Ahsha coos and kisses Chloe and Lillianna all over their little faces. They let out their little laughs and hug their mom.
Ahsha puts the girls down and notices Lillianna's hair is out of its ballerina bun and into a regular ponytail. “Where’s your pretty bun, Lil?”
“I like ponytails better, mommy.” The three year old sighs.
"Auntie Kyle!" Lillianna screams, making Kyle laugh.
"Lilly pie!" Kyle happily cheers and picks Lilly up, kissing her all over her face.
"What about me?" Chloe says, crossing her little arms in disbelief about her godmother's behavior.
"If you aren't your daddy's twin."
"No! I'm Lilly's!" Chloe replies as Kyle kisses her cheeks. Kyle places both the girls down and notices Ahsha and Katharine in conversation.
The twins run off to go tell Derek that Ahsha and Kyle arrived. Ahsha and Kyle take off their shoes and place them next to the door with everyone else's shoes.
"Hi mom!" Mackenzie calls out and rushes to give her mother a hug.
"My big baby!" Ahsha says and wraps her arms around her oldest child.
"Your favorite baby." She reminds her mother as Ahsha kisses her forehead.
"Actually, I think Carter's my favorite." Ahsha says as she sees her son coming into the room to greet her as well.
"Hey!"
"It's not my fault I'm mommy's favorite." He replies as he hugs Ahsha as well. Ahsha presses a kiss to her little boy's forehead and holds both of her children close to her.
"I love the both of you."
"We love you too." The two siblings reply at the same time. The three let each other go and they go to hug Kyle.
"I'm your favorite, right Auntie Ky?" Mackenzie asks, batting her big brown eyes.
"Yes, you are, my sweet Kenzie." Kyle tells her and kisses her forehead, wrapping her arms around her goddaughter.
"Me too?" Carter asks, seeming hopeful. Kyle laughs loudly and hugs her godson.
"Yes, you too, my handsome."
Derek walks into the living room with the twins at his side, he looks at Ahsha and suddenly forgets what he has to say. He is taken aback at her beauty.
Even in a pair of leggings, a Loyola Marymount hoodie, no makeup, and her hair up in a bun, Ahsha Hayes could still be the most beautiful person to Derek.
"Dinner's ready?" Katharine asks, noticing Derek and Ahsha looking at each other without breaking their gazes.
Katharine and Kyle look at each other and wink. "Yes." Derek states as Lilly bumps his side on purpose. She and Chloe look at each other and laugh loudly, the two wink at each other.
"Yeah, dinner's ready." He replies again, rubbing his head.
"Let's eat!" Chloe cheers and rushes into the large dining room, pulling Lilly with her. "They still love each other!" Chloe excitedly whispers to her little twin.
"I know!"
Everyone follows behind the twins, unaware of their whispers to each other regarding their parents.
Taking their seats, Ahsha notices that she is sitting in between Mackenzie and Kyle.
Derek says grace and then everyone passes around the food. The parents each help out the twins with getting their chicken and spaghetti on their plates.
The dinner table was filled with small conversation as everyone enjoyed the delicious dinner prepared by Derek. Ahsha internally sighs, appreciating the taste of Derek's cooking all over again. Chloe and Lilly were the first to finish and were excused from the table to go play. The kids finish eating and everyone around the table shared stories about their day, except for Ahsha who stayed quiet, feeling awkward in the presence of her former lover.
The sound of her ex-husband's deep voice was enough to send Ahsha's heart beat into shock. The angelic voice was enough to take her brain to places she had forgotten all about in the past year. The thought of the former baller turned Devils CEO’s body pressed against hers made her soak in a place where she thought was a desert.
"Well guys I have to go. I have a presentation that I have to prepare for class tomorrow." Katharine tells everyone.
"Go ahead, Ms. high schooler." Ahsha teases. The seventeen year old lets out an exasperated, “Two more weeks until graduation.”
Katharine gives Kyle, Ahsha, and Derek hugs. "Goodnight guys."
"Goodnight. Let me know when you get home." Derek calls out. Ahsha and Kyle finish eating their food and are stuffed.
"Will do, nephew!" Katharine teases as she makes her way out of the dining room. Derek rolls his eyes at his younger aunt's statement. Having a great aunt who is eighteen years younger than him seems a little embarrassing, but having her around was like having a younger sibling.
Katharine says goodbye to her great-nieces and nephews, then heads home to her parents, John and Elise.
The girls run back into the dining room. "Daddy what's for dessert?"
"Apple pie and ice cream in thirty minutes." He answers. The two run back into their playroom right after they get the answer they were looking for.
The table falls awkwardly quiet as the three adults sit in silence, not knowing what to say next.
Ahsha realizes that she has to use the bathroom.
"Excuse me." She says and gets up from the table feeling hot, dizzy, and nervous. The young mom wanders upstairs and straight into her large, spacious, old master suite without even realizing her actions. She heads straight to the bathroom and starts to use it. Looking to the left to grab toilet paper to wipe with, she notices that there is barely any toilet paper left.
She uses what she needs and gets off of the toilet. She then gets dressed again and goes about her business in the bathroom.
After washing her hands she plans on getting more toilet paper but remembers she cannot reach. "Okay, jump." Ahsha says, speaking to herself jumps as high as she can to grab the toilet paper.
"Dang it." She says aloud and continues to try and reach the toilet paper.
Derek finds himself checking up on Ahsha who has been gone for a while. He makes his way to the master suite and hears Ahsha trying to reach the toilet paper and chuckles. He knocks on the door and she answers it, breathing heavily due to jumping around.
"Do you need help?" He asks, sending an entire army of butterflies to her stomach.
"I got it." She snaps, realizing that her tone came out somewhat harsh when she sees his face change.
"Sorry I didn't mean..."
"It's okay. Here." He tells her. He comes behind her and wraps her arms around her waist, picking her up so that she can reach the basket with the toilet paper. She grabs a roll and Derek gently places her back down, slightly hypnotized by the smell of her perfume.
"Thanks." She tells him and looks up at him, realizing that she cannot look away from his eyes.
She notices what is happening and excuses herself. "I'll see you downs..." she is cut off by her ex husband's lips covering hers.
Without giving any thought to their ordeal, the two continue to kiss. Ahsha forgets about the toilet paper in her hands and lets it fall onto the bathroom floor.
Derek picks Ahsha up and places her on the bathroom counter, still attacking her with body with kisses.
He starts to slip his hands underneath Ahsha's hoodie and she quickly removes it without hesitation. She grabs Derek's white tee shirt and slips it over his head and goes back to kissing him. In one swift motion Derek manages to pull off Ahsha's leggings and lacy peach thong. She feels the cool air in the bathroom hit her bare center and she shivers.
Derek presses hard kisses to Ahsha's neck and she pulls his pants as well as his boxers, revealing his large, erect piece.
The kisses on Ahsha's neck start to move down to her breasts as Derek twirls his tongue around her hard, sensitive buds, causing her to moan. Derek's large hand covers Ahsha's bare center and she nearly jumps when his large finger traces a circle around her clit and she bites her lip.
Derek senses her body's reaction and gently moves his two fingers into her. Ahsha struggles to hold on to the bathroom counter and nearly falls off when Derek places her back on. Her fingernails claw at Derek's back as he continues his hard movements. Ahsha's moans grow louder and before she knows it, Derek's face is now in between her legs, cleaning up her juices himself.
Ahsha's legs turn into jello as Derek continues his work at making her moan his name. "Derekkkkkkk." She screams as she releases into his mouth. The feeling of euphoric pleasure takes over and a smile graces her lips as he continues to pleasure tease her with his soft lips.
"Please Derek!" She screams, begging to feel him inside her warm body. Derek gives in to her plea and stands back up, moving himself into her, nearly shocking her. Her eyes roll to the back of her head and she rubs Derek's back as his lips devour the sweet spot on her neck.
He stops to look at the beautiful woman that he is having sex with after a year. His brown eyes scan her beautiful face, sensing her love filled emotion.
Ahsha looks into his eyes as his movements continue. Their eyes automatically read "I still love you." and Ahsha lays her head on Derek's shoulder as he quickly moves in and out of her. She feels herself release for the second time and Derek moans when he feels Ahsha's walls tighten around him once more.
The dancer picks her head back up and presses another kiss to the baller's lips, this time pouring pure lust is in the kiss.
As Derek keeps moving Ahsha feels his piece pulsing inside of her and decides to mess with him a bit by going faster than his pace. She smirks as he slows down, this time stroking her hard and slow.
He releases inside of her and kisses Ahsha's lips. The both of them stay silent, the pleasure still takes over them and without a word, Derek slides out of her, leaving her sore.
Ahsha gets up and quickly gets dressed, finally realizing what she had just done with her ex husband. Derek passes her her gray hoodie.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." He answers.
Ahsha finishes getting dressed and fixes herself in the mirror. Derek does the same and lets her leave the bathroom first.
He runs his hands over his face and realization of recent events hit him. "What did I do?" He asks, feeling nauseous and dizzy due to his actions.
Ahsha practically races out of her old bedroom and downstairs to Kyle who looks at her best friend as if she has two heads. She notices the small mark on her neck that wasn't there an hour ago and her eyes widen.
"Girl!" Kyle screams, causing Chloe's head to snap up.
"We have to talk later." She whispers, running her hands through her short hair.
"I'll tell you everything." Ahsha whispers back as the kids go back to playing amongst themselves.
Derek is in the kitchen moving the warm, freshly baked apple pie slices to plates when Kyle walks into the kitchen. "What the did you two do?"
"Nothing." Derek quickly chirps and finishes plating the desserts.
"D-Ro." Kyle sternly says, causing Derek to look up from the plates.
"Ahsha and I had sex." He admits, tears threatening to rush down his eyes. Kyle's heart breaks as she hears Derek's voice crack.
"You did what now?"
"I'm pretty sure I messed things up even more, Ky." Derek says, trying not to become too upset in front of one of his best friends.
"No you didn't. Look, between me and you, Ahsha still loves you even if you think she doesn't. You didn't mess things up. Who knows, maybe this was a good thing."
"How Kyle?"
"I don't know, but it could probably help you two get back together again." She says, rubbing his arm. She heads out the kitchen, leaving Derek to ponder his conflicting thoughts.
Kyle sits down next to Ahsha in the den as Mackenzie tells Ahsha a story about something that happened earlier in the day. Derek walks into the room waiting for Mackenzie to finish telling her story. She finishes and looks at her dad. "Pie time?" She excitedly cheers.
"Pie time!" Derek mimics.
Everyone walks back to the dining room and sit down for dessert. Ahsha feels a little awkward as Derek passes her some pie and ice cream. "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Derek takes his seat and starts to eat his dessert with Ahsha completely on his mind.
The group finishes their dessert when Ahsha notices that it is now eight thirty and that the kids have to be in bed my nine thirty.
"Okay guys lets go home and get ready for bed." Ahsha says to her four kids.
"Goodnight daddy!" Chloe and Lilly cheer and run to go hug their father. Derek laughs and kisses his little girls' faces.
"I love my girls."
"We love you too." They tell him and let him go.
Carter is the next to go hug his father. "I'll see you tomorrow dad."
"Sounds like a plan to me CJ. You know we still have that basketball game to watch."
"The one where the Sixers beat the Devils! Yes!" Carter cheers excitedly, causing everyone in the room to laugh.
"We'll see about that, Car." He tells his son and rubs his head.
Mackenzie is the next one to say goodnight to her father.
"I love you daddy."
"I love you more, Kenzie." Derek presses a kiss against his daughter's head. A feeling of sadness waves over Derek's most sensitive child and he hugs her again.
"I'll see you tomorrow okay baby?"
"Okay." She tells him and holds back her tears.
"Hey, no crying. I'll be right there to pick you up from school." He tells her and presses another kiss to Mackenzie's forehead. The young girl leaves her father's side and heads to the corner of the room to grab her backpack.
Kyle says goodnight to Derek as Ahsha helps the kids out their backpacks on.
Ahsha says goodnight to her ex husband, also holding back tears. "I've been crying way too much today." She tells herself as Derek pulls her in for a friendly hug, holding her tight.
"Goodnight." He tells her.
"Goodnight. Thank you for inviting Kyle and I over for dinner." She tells him and lets him go.
"You're welcome. You're always welcome to come for dinner, Ahsha." He tells her, looking deep into her eyes. She quickly averts her attention elsewhere.
"Well I'll see you guys tomorrow." He almost immediately says, trying to relieve the awkward tension.
Derek opens the door and the army of four children run out of the mansion and straight to Kyle's Ford pickup truck.
Ahsha and Kyle follow soon after.
"Drive safely!" Derek shouts, waiting for everyone to get into the car.
"Thank you!"
Derek chuckles to himself and closes the door to the now empty mansion. He looks out the window and sees Kyle drive off, heading back to Ahsha's condo.
"Max!" He calls out. The large dog comes running out of the den and straight to Derek, sensing his sadness. Max whines and licks Derek's hand.
"I miss her, buddy." He tells his dog and heads upstairs to take a shower feeling upset over what happened earlier in the evening. Max does not leave his side and crawls into bed with him later in the evening.
Back in the truck, the kids are talking amongst themselves when Lilly starts to speak up. "Mommy, are you happy?"
"Yes, Lilly I'm happy. Why sweetheart?"
"Nothing!" She quickly says, earning a confused look from Mackenzie. Kyle pulls up to Ahsha's condo and puts the car in park.
Ahsha leans over and hugs her best friend. "Thank you so much Ky."
"You don't have to thank me Carebear. You know I love you."
"I love you more." She tells her. Kyle hugs her tighter.
"Call me later." She whispers in her ear. Ahsha nods her head, understanding what Kyle meant and lets her best friend go.
"Let’s go little people." Ahsha tells her four kids. They all climb out of Kyle's truck.
"Goodnight auntie's babies!" Kyle calls out.
"Goodnight auntie Kyle!" All of the kids cheer at the same time causing Ahsha and Kyle to look at each other and laugh. "Alright girl." “Let me when you get home.” “I will, Carebear.” Kyle drives off while Ahsha and the kids go into their condo. Mackenzie and Carter head to their rooms while Ahsha goes with the girls so that they can get ready for bed.
Whoever said that getting four kids ready for bed was easy lied like a cheap rug.
"Mommy can you tell us a story!" Chloe eagerly asks as she climbs into her bed.
"What would you guys like to hear?"
"How you met daddy and got married!" Lilly cheers, pulling her fluffy blanket over her small body.
"Of course." Ahsha tells herself. She takes a deep breath and tells the story, smoothing down her eyebrow, a nervous habit of hers.
"I met your dad when I was fourteen. We weren't friends but he loved me very much. One day, a couple years later, I was running outside and I ran into your dad. He and I started talking and he asked me to be his girlfriend, then we got married a year later."
"Can we have more details?" Lilly asks, shocking Ahsha.
"How in the world are these little three and a half year olds so smart?" She asks herself, internally groaning.
"One day, babies." She tells her little girls and kisses their foreheads.
"Mommy loves you guys."
"We love you too." They tell her and settle into their individual beds. Ahsha turns their lights off, leaving their matching Elmo night lights on.
Ahsha closes their door and leaves to go check on her other two children.
"Lil?"
"Yeah Chlo?"
"Mommy and daddy need to get married again."
"I wish they were married." The twins wish out loud before closing their eyes, heading to sleep.
Ahsha goes to Mackenzie's room and finds her daughter already asleep. "Goodnight baby." She whispers and kisses her daughter on the cheek.
"Goodnight mommy." Mackenzie whispers back and reaches her arms up to hug her mother. Ahsha wraps her arms around her daughter, holding her tight.
"I love you."
"I love you more, Ken." Ahsha answers and kisses her daughter one last time. She leaves her bedroom, closing her door.
Mackenzie opens her eyes again and jumps up, seeing that Ahsha is gone so she grabs her cell phone.
"Kath! I think my parents kissed!" She texts quickly, before heading to sleep.
Ahsha makes her way to Carter's room and finds him sleeping as well. "Goodnight mommy's big boy." She tells him and kisses his forehead and gently hugs him, silently thanking God that he does not wake up too easily to her being in his room. Carter keeps his eyes closed, feeling exhausted after a day of basketball with his father after school.
The young mother heads out of her son's room and she goes back to her room feeling a sense of emptiness, so she goes to take a shower. She removes her hoodie and immediately smells Derek's signature scent of Gorgio Armani's Acqua Di Gio written all over it.
She throws the jacket into the dirty clothes bin and continues to undress herself. She makes her way to the bathroom and starts to take a shower.
She closes her eyes and lets the water hit her face. Flashbacks of Derek standing with her in the shower pop up in her head, she feels herself wanting to reach out and grab him. She opens her eyes and begins to wash her body of the day's events.
"You just had to go over his house." She tells herself as she finishes showering and turns off the water. She dries herself off and walks back to her room with her towel wrapped around her wet body.
She lets out a sigh and finishes the rest of her night routine by getting dressed for bed in a large tee shirt and a pair of shorts. She gets into bed and grabs her phone, scrolling through Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and is interrupted by her phone ringing.
"Ahsha Marie!" Jelena fake scolds on the other end of the phone.
"Jelena Anne!" Ahsha mimics, her voice unknowingly cracking.
"What's wrong love?" Jelena asks, sensing the tone in her best friend's voice.
"Nothing. I'm fine, J."
"Come on, you're like my sister. You can't make an attempt to cover your feelings Ahsha." Jelena tells her, tucking a piece of hair back in her curly bun.
"Jelena, I'm fine." Ahsha tells her, her voice cracking even harder. She quickly wipes her tears away.
"You're okay." She tells herself as the tears continue falling.
"I'm coming over."
"You don't have to."
"You're my sister. I'm not going to let you be upset by yourself." Jelena insists and starts to put her shoes on. She hangs up the phone and Ahsha texts Kyle.
"Can you come over?" She sends and lays down in her bed. Crying was something that Ahsha Hayes had not done since the divorce.
Jelena and Kyle get to Ahsha's condo at the same time and rush to their best friend's door, being careful of the noise. The Roman kids are irritable when woken up, but just like their father, they all sleep like rocks.
Ahsha comes to the door no longer crying, her eyes bloodshot.
"You guys didn't have to come over." She tells the two women and they both hug her without saying a word. Ahsha gives in and allows herself to cry in her friends' arms.
"Aww Carebear." Kyle says, gently rubbing Ahsha's back. Jelena gently closes and locks the door and goes back to tending to her best friend.
"Let's go sit down." Jelena suggests. Ahsha sits in the middle of the short, comfortable chair while Jelena sits on the right side of her and Kyle sits on the left.
"What happened babe?" Jelena asks, holding Ahsha and trying to calm her down. Ahsha begins to speak but is very incoherent so Jelena just holds her.
"I know you haven't spent much time crying over this but it's okay." Kyle encourages and lays her head on Ahsha's shoulder and tries to comfort her as well.
"I can't keep hanging on to him." She sobs out. Kyle removes the large throw blanket from behind her and places it on hers and her two friend’s legs.
"Hey, look at me," Kyle tells her and moves her head off Ahsha's shoulder. The blonde wipes her best friend's tears away and gently caresses her cheeks. "It's okay to still be upset, Carebear. He means a lot to you and losing him was heartbreaking. You haven't given yourself time to grieve." Kyle says and wraps her arms around Ahsha tighter.
"You're going to get better. I promise Ahsha." Kyle reassures, pressing a kiss to Ahsha's forehead.
"I promise too Carebear." Jelena also promises, grabbing her best friend's hand.
Something inside of Ahsha has a small glimmer of hope that things between her and Derek would be fine, but of course her stubbornness would never let her admit it out loud.
“What if I don’t get better?”
“You will, in due time, love.”
In due time.
And that was chapter 1. I hope you enjoyed reading this long chapter, and if you listened to the song, I hope you enjoyed that as well!
Thank you for reading! :)

Addickted: The Aftermath
Tumblr media
Hello fellow Addickted readers! I’ve missed you guys so much! Now that school is completely out of the way, I have my writing groove back!
Writing this story has been such a roller coaster but I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. This was my first time cowriting and it has been a fun and stressful process and I loved every bit of it. I hope that you guys had fun reading our series and have enjoyed it! I’m so sad to see this story come to an end, but hey, @msnefie-honeylove21 needs to write Rainfall (I’m so excited for it!) and I have to write Slam Dunk.
Let me stop getting emotional and let you guys read!
Here is the last chapter of Addickted, we hope you guys enjoy!
It had been a year since Ahsha had her interaction with Derek in the kitchen at five in the morning on that rainy morning. Upon hearing the news of Ahsha’s past, Derek felt hurt that Ahsha had not told him about the incident yet
“And when I told him everything that happened, he took the news pretty hard, but eventually he came to an understanding about my addiction,” Ahsha concludes, taking a sigh of relief. She looks up and sees her husband’s smiling face standing by the door having just come from work. She waves at him and he makes his way over to her, sitting down and pulling her into a hug.
“I hope I didn’t miss too much.” He whispers to her.
The members of the SAA meeting look at Ahsha, bittersweetly. One member raises his hand to talk, “And what about your friend Cory? Your business? How is that going? Where are Quinton as well as Jelena?”
Ahsha offers a chuckle and Derek rubs her back for support. Him coming to today’s meeting was something huge for Ahsha, she did not feel the need to hide the secret meetings from her husband and for once she felt free.
One year later and Mrs. Roman is already in training as an SAA discussion leader, today’s discussion is just the beginning.
“Cory’s good. Because of Derek and I telling him about the meetings we have here and how it’s been helping his marriage, he felt lead to go to counseling as well. From there, he was surprisingly able to get his ex-wife Jasmine to join him and they’ve just started dating again, taking things slow, but it’s such a huge step for them.” Ahsha runs her fingers through her hair.
“The business is good, Kyle and I have mended our twenty something year friendship and we are back and better than ever. One of our dancers just booked an audition for a major dance film, and we give credit to where it’s due, our amazing instructors. I love my job, especially having my best friend by my side helping me. Speaking of instructors, Quinton’s time at our studio was finished and he moved to a new studio, we needed a new instructor and Jelena applied for the position. She is currently teaching our three-year-old students and she’s such a little light to our company, I say little because she is tiny.” The whole room erupts into laughter which brings joy to Ahsha.
“That’s such an amazing story.” One woman says as she feels herself tearing up. Ahsha looks over at Derek who winks at her.
“Ahsha is a very strong woman, having gone through what she did and then come out smiling is beautiful. It was a work in progress, but she is improving day by day and learning to trust me more. She is a totally different from the woman she was last year. I couldn’t be more proud of her and I’m not just saying that because she’s my wife.” Derek grabs his wife’s hand as she holds her tears back.
Raquel starts to speak up, “Ahsha, you’ve come a long way from the day we met to now. I know sharing your story was frightening, but you did it! You did it and I couldn’t be more proud of you. Derek, I’m glad to see you here as well.”
“Thank you for having me, Dr. Saldana.”
“Well everyone, that’s it for our meeting. If anyone has any further questions to ask Ahsha, she will be glad to answer them for you.”
The whole room claps and everyone grabs their things, making their way out of the meeting.
“Thank you for letting me share my story today.” Ahsha gushes as she heads over to Raquel. The woman pulls the dancer in for a hug.
“I’m so proud of you.” She tells her as she lets her go. To see Ahsha boldly tell her story is something that even she had never seen coming. In order to get to this point, Ahsha had to let go of her stubborn pride and come to face with her past, something that scared her, but she made it through.
“I couldn’t have done this without you.” Raquel squeezes Ahsha’s hand.
“You have such an amazing support system, and I’m so glad to be a part of that as well, so thank you for giving me that opportunity, Ahsha.”
No one else had questions for Ahsha, so she left the SAA meeting hand in hand with her husband. The two head home in their separate cars and are greeted by Jasmine and Cameron waiting for them at the front door.
“Daddy!” Jasmine screams as she rushes into Derek’s arms.
“Hi princess.” He complements and picks the little girl up off the ground, kissing her little face.
“We ate our dinner and finished our homework. Can we watch a movie tonight?” She begs, Ahsha playfully crinkles her face, protesting her daughter’s request.
“Pleaseee?” Jasmine pleads, Cameron joining in too.
Ahsha looks at Derek and back at her two children. “A movie night sounds good.”
And that’s what they did. Sloane bid goodnight to her grandchildren, son in law, and her daughter and headed home to her husband who happily greeted her with dinner while Derek and Ahsha joined their children on the large sectional chair in the den to watch a movie.
“I love this part!” Jasmine says and sings aloud, amusing both parents while Cameron playfully mocks his little sister.
An hour into the two hour movie and everyone is asleep except for Ahsha. She smiles down at Derek who has his head rested on her shoulder, Jasmine who is asleep in Derek’s lap, and Cameron whose head is on her lap.
“God, thank you for giving my family back to me.” She says silently as the movie continues to play in the background, feeling grateful.
Forever grateful for overcoming her addiction.
                                                     The end.

Slam Dunk Chapter 1 (Sneak Peek)
Tumblr media
Welcome to the sequel for Dribble, and the third sequel for Defence! Slam Dunk takes place nine years later and there is a lot of catching up to do. Derek and Ahsha have ended their seventeen year marriage and are in the middle of a divorce and are joint parenting their four children. Will these four children be able to fix their parents relationship? Find out in Slam Dunk.
For now this is the sneak peek. Only because my sister and I are working on a new series that we’re super excited for you guys to read!
I really hope you guys enjoy this sneak peek!
Do you want to speak to him?" The nearly eleven year old has a sly smile on her face as she looks at her great aunt, Katharine who is sitting on the chair in the living room.
Ahsha tenses up at the mention of Derek's presence and she finishes putting the papers into their appropriate files.
"No Ken, it's okay. I can just talk to Carter later."
"Ken, is that your mom?" Derek asks as he strolls into the room with Carter at his side, the two just finished watching basketball. Ahsha tenses up.
“Ken I’ll call you back.” She insists to her daughter who is barely paying attention.
"Yeah, here dad!" Mackenzie cheers and practically throws the phone into her father's hands. Derek chuckles at his daughter and shakes his head.
"Thank you Ken."
Derek and Ahsha have not spoken to each other in two years and had just finished with the finalization of their divorce. "Hey." Derek answers the phone, letting out a light chuckle at Ahsha's incoherent rambling on the other end of the phone. He hopes that she says something to him over the phone.
"Hey. Derek, I need go. I'll be at the mansion to pick up the kids around eight, if that's okay." She blurts out and smacks herself in the head for talking, grabbing her laptop.
"Yeah, it's fine Ahsh," Derek answers and his eyes widen at the mention of his ex-wife's nickname, Ahsha's heart skips a beat.
She quickly wipes the tears away before they turn into full on sobs.
Little does Ahsha know, Kyle is making her way up to her condo now.
"Hey."
"Carebear? Spill it." Kyle drills, sensing the tone of her best friend's voice.
"I'm fine Kyle." Kyle's phone cuts off and she knocks on Ahsha's large white door. Ahsha jumps up and opens the door for her best friend.
Kyle walks in and gives her best friend a tight, comforting hug.
"Hello." She answers, hiding the fact that she is upset and hears her babies talking.
"Mommy can you please come for dinner? We're having chicken parmgon." Chloe answers.
"Chloe it's parmapon." Lillianna answers, causing Mackenzie and Katharine to crack up at her.
"Sweetheart it's Chicken Parmesan." Mackenzie says before taking the phone. Ahsha sits at the other end of the phone chuckling at her girls.
"Mom can you please come for dinner?"
"Please mom?" Carter says, standing next to his older sister while his father is still busy preparing dinner in the kitchen.
"Pleaseeeee?" All four kids beg, warming Ahsha's heart.
"Fine I'll come to dinner tonight. Auntie Kyle's coming too."
Kyle's face has confusion written all over it. "Okay mommy! I'll talk to you later, bye!" Mackenzie answers before she quickly hangs up the phone, seeing her father walking into the den.
"What are you guys doing?" Derek asks, noticing Mackenzie and Carter's nervous expressions. Chloe and Lillianna look at each other with their eyes wide open.
"Nothing!" The twins say at the same time.
"Chloe and Lilly are up to no good like always." Carter says, causing the twins to give him the side eye.
"They look just like Ahsha." Katharine says out loud as she looks up from her phone, laughing harder as the twins simultaneously roll their eyes at Carter.
"The act just like her too." Mackenzie chimes in and sits next to her great-aunt on the chair.
"I'm going to take the chicken out of the oven. Dinner should be ready in about fifteen minutes." Derek tells everyone and leaves the den.
"Kids." He scoffs as the thought of Ahsha coming for dinner dances over his mind.
Back at her apartment, Ahsha is now tapping away at the emails on her laptop while a million and one questions escape Kyle's lips.
"What if you two get back together again?"
"Kyle."
"Ahsha. I'm just asking Carebear, it's so obvious that you still love him."
"How so?" The mother asks as she stops typing up the roll sheet for tomorrow's hip hop class.
Let's go, I'm hungry." The blonde chuckles and wraps her arms around her best friend.
Kyle stays quiet and continues driving. "What?"
"Nothing."
"What, Kyle."
"You don't think you guys gave up too easily? I get that he was hurt about Mary pretending to change and then using him the way that she did and that he decided to shut down. You shut down on him too."
"Kyle I really don't want to discuss why he and I divorced. I am trying to move on."
"Move on or keep stuff from me? Carter told me that you still cry in your sleep. I know today wasn't the first time you've cried." Kyle takes a glance at Ahsha before she pulls up to the red light.
"I’ve done it once or twice."
"Not counting tonight. Last night, two nights ago?" Kyle asks, seeing Ahsha crumble.
"Yeah."
The blonde stops the car at a stop sign and looks over at her friend again.
"Thank you, Ky."
The two get out of Kyle's car and walk to the door of the mansion. Kyle knocks as Ahsha stands there somewhat frozen in fear of what the evening holds. Max barks in excitement as he smells Ahsha's scent. He usually smells her scent on the kids' clothes which makes him equally excited as well.
Katharine opens the door and beams as she sees Ahsha. "I missed you!"
"I saw you at dance earlier Kath." Ahsha chuckles and hugs Katharine back.
Max waits for Katharine to stop hugging Ahsha before he jumps on her and then jumps back down. "Max!" Ahsha coos and plays with the large pit bull dog who is very excited to see her. He excitedly rolls over and lets her rub his stomach.
"Mommy!" The twins scream and run to their mother. Ahsha perks up and stops rubbing Max.
"Hi my babies!" Ahsha coos and kisses Chloe and Lillianna all over their little faces. They let out their little laughs and hug their mom.
Ahsha puts the girls down and notices Lillianna's hair is out of its ballerina bun and into a regular ponytail. “Where’s your pretty bun?” Ahsha asks her daughter.
“I took it out.” She replies laughing and hugs her mother again. Lillianna Amaya Roman is known as the hugger and is the exact replica of her mother all the way down to her little attitude.
"Auntie Kyle!" Lillianna screams, making Kyle laugh.
"Lilly pie!" Kyle happily cheers and picks Lilly up, kissing her all over her face.
"What about me?" Chloe says, crossing her little arms.
Little Chloe Imani Roman is Derek’s exact mini me with nothing of Ahsha in her little personality.
"If you aren't your daddy's twin." Kyle says and tickles Chloe whose loud laugh echoes through the foyer.
"No! I'm Lilly's!" Chloe replies as Kyle kisses her cheeks. Kyle places both of the girls down and notices Ahsha and Katharine in conversation.
The twins run off to go tell Derek that Ahsha and Kyle arrived. Ahsha and Kyle take off their shoes and place them next to the door with every one else's shoes.
"Hi mom!" Mackenzie calls out and rushes to give her mother a hug.
"My big baby!" Ahsha says and wraps her arms around her oldest child.
"Your favorite baby." She reminds her mother as Ahsha kisses her forehead.
"No, Mackenzie. I think Carter's my favorite." Ahsha says as she sees her son coming into the room to greet her as well.
"Hey!"
"It's not my fault I'm mommy's favorite." He replies as he hugs Ahsha as well. Ahsha presses a kiss to her little boy's forehead and holds both of her children close to her.
"I love both of you."
"We love you too." The two siblings reply at the same time. The three let each other go and they go to hug Kyle.
"I'm your favorite, right Auntie Ky?" Mackenzie asks, batting her big brown eyes.
"Yes you are, my sweet Kenzie." Kyle tells her and kisses her forehead, wrapping her arms around her goddaughter.
"Me too?" Carter asks, seeming hopeful. Kyle laughs loudly and hugs her godson.
"Yes you too, my handsome."
"Yes." Derek answers when Lilly bumps his side on purpose. She and Chloe look at each other and laugh loudly.
"Let's eat!" Chloe cheers and rushes into the large dining room, pulling Lilly with her. "They still love each other!" Chloe excitedly whispers.
"I know!"
Everyone follows behind the twins, unaware of their whispers to each other.
Taking their seats, Ahsha notices that she is sitting in between Mackenzie and Kyle.
Derek says grace and then everyone passes around the food. The parents each help the twins with getting their chicken parmesan and spaghetti on their plates.
The dinner table was filled with small conversation as everyone enjoyed the delicious dinner prepared by Derek. Ahsha internally sighs, appreciating the taste of Derek's cooking all over again, not realizing how much she missed it. Chloe and Lilly were the first to finish and were excused from the table to go play. The kids finish eating and leave the table while everyone shares stories about their day.
The sound of her ex-husband's deep voice was enough to send Ahsha's heart beat into shock once his turn for story time came around.
"Well guys I have to go. I have a presentation that I have to prepare for class tomorrow." Katharine tells everyone.
"Go ahead Ms. high schooler." Ahsha teases, making the teen laugh. Katharine gives Kyle, Ahsha, and Derek hugs.
"Goodnight guys."
"Goodnight. Let me know when you get home." Derek calls out, finishing his Sprite. Ahsha and Kyle finish eating their food and are stuffed.
Chloe and Lilly run back into the dining room. "Daddy what's for dessert?"
"Apple pie and ice cream in thirty minutes." He answers. The two run back into their playroom right after they get the answer they were looking for.
The table falls awkwardly quiet as the three adults sit in silence, not knowing what to say next.
"Excuse me." Ahsha says and gets up from the table feeling hot, dizzy, and nervous. The young mom wanders upstairs and straight into her large, spacious, old master suite without even realizing her actions. She heads straight to the bathroom and starts to use it. Looking to the left to grab toilet paper she notices that there is barely any toilet paper left.
She uses what she needs, gets dressed again, and goes about her business in the bathroom.
After she washes her hands she plans on getting more toilet paper but remembers she cannot reach. "Okay, jump." Ahsha says, speaking to herself jumps as high as she can to grab the toilet paper.
"Dang it." She says and continues to try and reach the toilet paper.
Derek finds himself checking up on Ahsha who has been gone for a while. He makes his way to the master suite and hears Ahsha trying to reach the toilet paper and chuckles at her failed attempts.
"Do you need help?" He asks, sending an entire army of butterflies to her stomach causing her to jump a little. She opens the bathroom seeing Derek with a smirk on his face.
"I got it." She replies, realizing that her tone came out somewhat harsh when she sees his face change.
"Sorry I didn't mean..."
"It's okay. Here, let me help you." He tells her. He comes behind her and wraps her arms around her waist, picking her up so that she can reach the basket with the toilet paper. She grabs a roll and Derek gently places her back down on the floor, slightly hypnotized by the smell of her perfume.
"Thanks." She tells him and looks up at him, realizing that she cannot look away from his dark brown eyes.
She notices what is happening and excuses herself. "I'll see you downstairs.”
“Ahsha, wait.” Derek calls out as she strolls out of the bathroom. She stops walking and turns around. In one swift moment Derek wraps his left hand around the back of her neck, rests his right hand on her backside and presses his soft lips to hers.
@msnefie-honeylove21 I hope you enjoy our little mini twins (Chloe and Lilly) ;)

Slam Dunk Update
I haven’t updated in forever and a day! I’ve been writing, but this writing process is so complex. I’m writing in third person, but writing Ahsha’s setting, Derek’s, Kyle, Jelena, and now Francesca and Claire’s. Soon I’ll be writing in the kids and their views. That being said, please bear with me and these uploads.
My goal for this long, twenty something chapter fanfic is to not only have you guys entertained, but also understanding of each and every character’s emotions.
Okay! So on to what I REALLY want to say, Chapter three is finished! I’m currently in the process of editing which thankfully doesn’t take long to do. This chapter will be up soon, I can guarantee that!

Dribble Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Wow, typing chapter 6 after so long feels pretty great. School has been picking up like crazy, leaving me with such little time to sit and write. This chapter is finally finished! I hope you guys enjoy the second to last chapter! The next chapter will be an epilogue which will be VERY important for the announcement that I will be making.
If you guys didn’t get a chance to read Chapter 5, here is the link.
Now enjoy Chapter 6!
Chapter 6: Six Months Later
"I told you I was coming back." Kayla says to Ahsha as her hands ring around her neck. The brunette had a crazed look in her eyes as if she were ready to kill Ahsha once and for all.
"But you're dead."
"Doesn't mean I'm not watching you. Can't breathe, can you?" Kayla asks her before her grip becomes tighter. Ahsha feels her eyes close as she continues to fight for her life.
Ahsha jolts up out of bed, breathing heavily and clutching her round stomach as a contraction hits. Tears stream down her eyes and she bites back a terrified sob, not wanting to wake up Derek.
Derek notices his wife's quick and rapid movements and quickly gathers her in his arms. "Shh." He coos as she nearly collapses into his arms. He runs his hands over her back and presses kisses to her forehead. Ahsha takes short, deep breaths as her husband continues to help calm her down.
"Bad dream?"
"Yeah." Ahsha answers and looks at the clock, noticing that it is four in the morning.
"Go back to bed Derek, I'll be fine."
"I can't do that babe."
The two lay back down and Derek rubs Ahsha's stomach.
"I had another dream that Kayla was choking me again. Derek, what if this is my karma for killing her?"
"It's not karma. You're still traumatized baby."
"It's been six months." Ahsha says, mentally beating herself up about being stressed out about Kayla. One more contraction hits and she successfully hides it from Derek.
Derek gets up and pulls Ahsha up with him. He slides his legs around her and rests his back against the headboard. Ahsha makes herself warm in his embrace. Something about her behavior seems a little off to him.
"You can't heal overnight. I know it was petrifying going against Kayla but she's gone and you don't have anything to worry about." Derek places his hands in Ahsha's and presses a soft kiss to her neck.
Ahsha feels the baby stirring around and then feels a contraction hit once again. She grabs Derek's hands and squeeze them, taking a deep breath. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I just had another false contraction." She replies and feels like she has to use the bathroom for the fourth time in a row. Derek cautiously follows behind Ahsha as she heads to the bathroom.
"Ahsha you've had them all day yesterday. I don't think they're false."
"What happened?" Derek asks when he sees his wife stop walking.
"My water just broke." Ahsha jokes and has another false contraction that stops her in her tracks.
"Oh my goodness! What do I do?" Derek springs out of bed looking like a crazed chicken with its head cut off.
"I'm joking babe." She says and makes her way to the bathroom.
"Where are you going?" Derek asks, feeling nervous.
"Your child is resting on my bladder and I need to pee."
Derek chuckles at his wife and lays back down in his bed, waiting for his wife to finish in the bathroom.
Ahsha uses the bathroom and begins to wipe when she feels her baby's head. Her eyes widen and she jumps off the toilet, ignoring her pain and removing everything except her tee shirt. She flushes and clutches the skink as she feels the need to push. "Derek!" She screams.
Derek jolts up and rushes to the large master bathroom, finding his wife on the bathroom floor. He runs over to his wife and sits in front of her, preparing to catch their baby.
He counts to ten while Ahsha tirelessly pushes. She takes a breath and goes right back to pushing, making Derek amazed at her strength.
"Almost finished babe." Derek encourages as the baby's shoulder appear. Ahsha stops pushing and takes one big breath and goes back to pushing while Derek counts.
The baby falls into Derek's hands leaving him speechless as well as amazed. Tears stream down his face and he cleans off his baby. "Okay Derek, can you call 911?" Ahsha asks, laughing at her husband's reaction.
"Y-yeah." He stutters and passes the baby to Ahsha. He towel dries his hands and runs to grab his phone, shaking.
"Hi Carter James." Ahsha coos and presses a kiss to her baby's forehead. He opens and closes his little hands, embracing his mother's touch.
"Hi, my wife just gave birth in our bathroom. What do I do?"
Derek follows the paramedic's instruction and ties a piece of yarn around the umbilical cord. He then gets up and rushes downstairs as fast as he can to go unlock the door and the gate for the paramedics.
The excited father rushes back upstairs and straight into his bathroom to be with his wife. "Okay, the ambulance will be there in ten minutes."
"Thank you." Derek answers and hands up the phone.
Ahsha looks at Derek, shaking with excitement and adrenaline. "I told you those contractions weren't false." Derek teases and kisses Ahsha's forehead.
"Hi Mr. Roman." He coos, falling completely in love with Carter.
"We have to call everyone."
Derek pulls out his phone and calls Sloane, Eleanor, Terrence, as well as Zero all at the same time. Eleanor is the first to answer followed by Zero, Sloane, and Terrence. "Carter is here!" He cheers into the phone, making Ahsha giggle. His heart warms at the sound of his wife's laugh.
"Aww!" Sloane and Eleanor coo. "Where are you guys?"
"At home. Ahsh gave birth in the bathroom."
"Well should we meet you there?" Zero asks.
"The ambulance is almost here so you guys can meet us at the hospital."
"Okay Derek, keep us updated. I'm going to get ready now." Sloane says, nudging Pete.
"Me too." Terrence and Zero reply at the same time.
"I'll come and leave John with Katharine."
"I will keep all of you updated and I'll see you guys at the hospital." Derek says and hangs up the phone.
Ahsha looks up at Derek who is still in his sweatpants and shirtless. "Go put on a shirt before the paramedics get here."
Derek does just that and comes back to his wife. He kisses her on the forehead and looks down at baby Carter, almost in tears again.
The paramedics come upstairs and see the newborn baby in his mother's arms. "Hello." The female paramedic coos to Carter. She smiles at Ahsha.
"Is this your first delivery?"
"No, I have a one and a half year old who is still asleep."
The paramedic gently falls to her knees in front of Ahsha and is handed a bucket as well as a pair of scissors. "So you know the procedure pretty well then." She giggles.
"Dad, would you like to cut the cord?" The paramedic asks, moving her dark brown ponytail out of the way.
"Sure." Derek follows the careful instructions and cuts Carter's cord. The paramedic then does her job of helping Ahsha deliver the placenta by squeezing her stomach and gently pulling on the umbilical cord.
"And we are finished. We're going to take you guys to the hospital to get you and your little one checked out."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Do you know what time your baby was born?"
"Four eighteen." The paramedic nods and begins to help Ahsha up on the stretcher along with Derek's help. She then drapes a blanket over Ahsha's bare bottom half and the paramedics begin to carry Ahsha and Carter downstairs. Derek races to grab Ahsha's hospital bag along with little sleeping Mackenzie. He hops into the ambulance with his wife and they go on their way to the hospital.
The Romans get to the hospital around four forty five, feeling exhausted as well as excited about baby Carter.
A nurse comes to see Ahsha and check on her vitals as well as the condition of her womb. "You are super healthy and will be here until tomorrow afternoon. Pretty soon you'll be back on that court dancing up a storm!" She cheers. Ahsha laughs at the peppy nurse.
"I'm a big fan of you and your husband by the way."
"Thank you." Ahsha beams.
"Get some rest, I will see you in a couple of hours."
Ahsha sighs and stretches, thankful for no IV's being attached to her.
Derek sits on the bed and snuggles close to Ahsha. Carter is sleeping in his little bassinet next to Ahsha's bed and Mackenzie is with Sloane and Pete for the night.
"I don't think I'm getting any more sleep," Derek whispers and looks at Ahsha. "We have two kids now!" He excitedly cheers.
Ahsha smiles at her husband and kisses his cheek. "Yes, we do."
"It's been one crazy year." Ahsha admits and grabs Derek's hand.
"Too crazy."
"He has your eyes." Ahsha teases as she looks down at Carter in his bassinet. The baby opens his eyes to the sound of his mother’s voice. He then closes them and opens his little hands, falling asleep again.
“You think so?” Derek asks and presses a kiss to his wife’s forehead.
“He’s your little twin.”
Derek looks down at his son in pure admiration and then looks back at his wife, falling madly in love with her all over again. “You’re so beautiful Ahsha.” The young mother turns around and looks at her husband, crossing her legs and folding her hands as she sits in front of him.
“We’ve been through a lot with this pregnancy.” She admits, running her hand over Derek’s stubbly chin.
“We really have been. Kayla and her crazy antics. That two and a half month argument over something that could have been avoided.”
“We were sex deprived.” Derek groans making Ahsha slap his arm and laugh.
“The nonexistent pregnancy symptoms that occurred except for nausea and fatigue. You knew I was pregnant way before I did.”
“Because you were filling out in all the right places and we had sex every night for two weeks.” Derek admits, causing Ahsha to roll her eyes.
“The reception. The same night Kayla died, the night I thought I almost lost Carter, the same night I told you about this little guy.”
Derek pulls Ahsha into his arms and he holds her in his warm embrace. “And I helped deliver him. It’s surreal. There’s no one else I’d rather be with through ups and downs than with you.”
Ahsha lays her head in the crook of her husband’s neck as he kisses her cheek. “Good because you’re the only person I plan on spending my life with.”
“I’m looking forward to it.” Derek chuckles, feeling blessed and content.
Thank you for reading the chapter. I hope you enjoyed it!!
