Do you have any recommendations for Undertale text games like yours? I'm pretty sure I played both at least 5 times and I really want more! I gotta tell you that they're both so cool, I never thought about making au text games.

Sadly I am not aware of any other IF Undertale games.

I can recommend some VNs though. These are what inspired me to do Undertale IF.

If I could draw it’d be a VN instead of an IF aha.

This was just so adorable i highly recommend this game to everyone. It has so much heart to it. With three different endings and the writing along with the characters. It is as if the adventures in the underground never ended.

honestly this game was so good and made me so freaking happy!! i suggest playing this wonderful heartfelt game, I don't play many rpg games but this one will be one of my all time favorites!!! thank Cho for this game.

Ooh I haven't heard of the Gauntlet type, though my knowledge on the intricacies of choice based gameplay is limited. That's a cool idea!

It almost sounds like this would also work with a text based 'choose your own adventure' book, especially with how many Goosebumps books had the hypnosis tropes through them, it's kind of apt!

I think I've already mentioned that I'm not making Undertale VNs for a good long while... ^^;

However, if I were to create another Megalosomnia game (AU by the awesome @megalommi !!)… it would definitely be a gauntlet type choice pattern.

Perhaps the player is trying to escape True Lab and get back to General Papyrus.

This means that the thread would be linear, but there would be multiple places to fail with a bad ending.

Choice design would be crucial. (It always is. But in this case, even more so or else the player would feel cheated at the point of choice).

What I mean is, there can't be an "obvious right choice vs. obvious wrong choice" (i.e. Look into his eyes vs. avert your gaze). Unless you subvert that with meta/4th wall breaking tricks ;) All options have to seem like they'd be correct.

Also, if you're a fellow dev that wants to make a Megalosomnia game. Feel free to take this idea. I honestly don't mind. :)

Does the good doctor love space as much as canon Sans? If so what is his reaction to seeing stars in person for the first time?

He isn't as invested as Sans, but finally gazing into an open sky full of stars burning millions of miles away, after so long under a ceiling of rock, that would humble any monster

One Romantic Date, Hold the Awkward was my NaNoRenO 2022 submission! It was the first time I had ever led a team. And it was the first time I've ever gutted the UI as extensively as I did to build it from scratch. My focus that year was project management and UI design.

At the eleventh hour, I had lost some of what I was working on. Thankfully I managed to redo everything I lost and submitted before the deadline! I was so proud of myself and everyone that had a hand in working on this!
