Tips to Help Reduce Acne
Acne is a common skin condition that affects people of all ages, causing various types of blemishes, such as blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. While acne can be persistent and challenging to manage, there are several effective strategies to reduce its occurrence and severity. For those looking for comprehensive solutions, options like New York acne treatment clinics offer specialized care. However, there are also simple daily habits and skincare routines that can significantly help in managing acne.
Establishing a Consistent Skincare Routine
A consistent skincare routine is crucial for managing acne. This should include cleansing your face twice daily with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser to remove excess oil, dirt and sweat that can clog pores. Avoid harsh scrubs or overwashing, as this can irritate the skin and worsen acne.
Using topical treatments containing active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or retinoids can also be effective. These products help to reduce oil production, promote skin cell turnover and combat bacterial infection, which are key factors in acne development. It's important to start with lower concentrations and gradually increase as your skin adjusts to avoid irritation.
Seeking Professional Treatment
For persistent or severe acne, seeking professional treatment is often necessary. Clinics specializing in acne treatment provide tailored solutions based on individual skin types and acne severity. These treatments can include prescription medications, chemical peels, laser therapy or even dietary advice.
Professionals at New York acne treatment clinics can also offer guidance on lifestyle changes that can impact acne, such as diet modifications, stress management and proper skincare techniques. They can help identify triggers specific to your skin and suggest effective, personalized treatment plans.
In conclusion, reducing acne involves a combination of good skincare practices and, when necessary, professional treatment. Establishing a gentle yet effective skincare routine, using the right topical treatments and seeking help from acne specialists like those in acne treatment clinics can all contribute to clearer, healthier skin. Remember, managing acne often requires patience and consistency, but with the right approach, significant improvements can be achieved.

Empowering Dermatology: How Publicists Drive Skin Health Conversations
In the continuously changing environment of healthcare, the responsibilities of public relations (PR) experts are constantly evolving, especially within dermatology, has become increasingly significant. As the field continues to grow and evolve, healthcare PR firms play a vital role in assisting dermatologists in reaching their target audience, addressing taboo topics, and navigating the complexities of the healthcare industry. In this article, we delve into how publicists support dermatologists in their outreach efforts, enhance public understanding of skin health, and foster dialogue on sensitive issues within dermatology.
1. Amplifying Visibility and Reach
One of the primary functions of publicists in healthcare PR is to amplify the visibility and reach of dermatologists. Through strategic media placements, press releases, and promotional campaigns, PR professionals ensure that dermatologists' expertise, services, and contributions are showcased to a broader audience. This heightened visibility helps attract new patients and establishes dermatologists as trusted authorities in their field.
Healthcare PR firms leverage television, radio, print media, online publications, and social media platforms to disseminate information about dermatological treatments, preventive care, and emerging trends. By crafting compelling narratives and engaging content, they capture the attention of diverse demographics, including individuals seeking solutions to common skin concerns and those interested in advanced cosmetic procedures.
2. Educating the Public on Skin Health
In addition to increasing visibility, publicists in healthcare PR play a crucial role in educating the public on matters related to skin health. Dermatologists possess specialized knowledge about skin conditions, skincare routines, sun protection, and the importance of early skin cancer detection. However, effectively communicating this information to the general public requires strategic messaging and targeted outreach efforts.
Healthcare PR firms work closely with dermatologists to develop educational campaigns, awareness initiatives, and informational resources customized to suit the requirements and inclinations of various audiences. These may include articles, blog posts, infographics, videos, and interactive content designed to impart valuable knowledge and encourage healthy skincare practices.
Moreover, publicists facilitate opportunities for dermatologists to participate in community events, workshops, and seminars to interact directly with the public, address questions, and provide personalized recommendations. By fostering dialogue and promoting open communication, healthcare PR professionals help bridge the gap between dermatological expertise and public understanding, ultimately promoting better skin health outcomes.
3. Breaking Down Taboos and Stigmas
Certain skin-related topics, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), genital dermatology, and cosmetic procedures, may be surrounded by stigma or considered taboo in society. Addressing these sensitive issues requires a delicate approach and a willingness to challenge misconceptions and societal norms. Publicists play a crucial role in facilitating these discussions and breaking down barriers to open dialogue.
Through strategic messaging and targeted outreach, healthcare PR professionals help destigmatize taboo topics by framing them within health, well-being, and empowerment. They work with dermatologists to develop sensitive and inclusive communication strategies that prioritize patient confidentiality, respect cultural sensitivities, and promote a non-judgmental approach to skincare concerns.
Healthcare PR firms also leverage their relationships with media outlets and influencers to initiate conversations around taboo topics, raise awareness, and provide accurate information. By emphasizing the significance of seeking professional assistance, normalizing discussions about sensitive skin issues, and emphasizing the availability of effective treatments, publicists empower individuals to manage their skin health confidently, free from fear or embarrassment.
4. Navigating Ethical and Legal Considerations
Navigating ethical and legal considerations in healthcare communications is paramount to maintaining integrity and trust. Healthcare PR professionals are critical in ensuring that all promotional activities, marketing materials, and public statements adhere to industry regulations, professional standards, and patient privacy laws.
PR professionals in healthcare work closely with dermatologists to develop messaging that is accurate, evidence-based, and compliant with regulatory guidelines set forth by governing bodies such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). They also assist in obtaining appropriate consent for patient testimonials, before-and-after photos, and other promotional content to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Additionally, healthcare PR firms stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and evolving regulations within the healthcare and skincare industries to ensure that their strategies remain ethical, transparent, and aligned with the interests of both dermatologists and their patients.
Conclusion
In conclusion, publicists in healthcare PR play a multifaceted role in enhancing dermatologists' outreach, promoting skin health awareness, and addressing taboo topics within the field of dermatology. Healthcare PR professionals help foster a culture of informed decision-making, empowerment, and inclusivity in skincare by amplifying visibility, educating the public, breaking down stigmas, and navigating ethical considerations. Their collaborative efforts with dermatologists contribute to improved patient outcomes, increased access to quality care, and a more open dialogue surrounding skin health.

Microdermabrasion treatment: Attaining a Refined and Polished Skin Finish
Dreaming of a smooth, clear, and radiant complexion is a universal desire. While scrubs and beauty acids play their part in unclogging pores, the transformative power lies in advanced treatments like microdermabrasion treatment cost in India. This non-invasive anti-aging beauty treatment, cherished by celebrities, stands out as a top choice for exfoliation. Beyond unveiling brighter and clearer skin, microdermabrasion addresses a spectrum of skin concerns, including acne scars, uneven texture, clogged pores, and fine lines. Let’s discuss more about microdermabrasion treatment.
Understanding Microdermabrasion
Well fear not the term "abrasion," for microdermabrasion is a gentle process, causing minimal discomfort, if any. There are two major types: crystal and non-crystal (diamond tip). Crystal dermabrasion employs microscopic crystals, delivering a gentle polishing effect as the handheld wand moves across the skin.
Whereas, non-crystal microdermabrasion treatment uses a diamond-tipped disc to softly buff the skin's surface layer. With this, the 'wound effect' of microdermabrasion treatment stimulates blood flow, oxygen, and collagen growth. Removing the top layer of the skin, known as the stratum corneum, initiates a healing reaction, prompting the skin to replace lost cells.
Consequently, microdermabrasion softens fine lines, smooth texture, reduces brown spots, and brightens the skin over a series of treatments.
Why We Chose Microdermabrasion?
These are the major reasons to opt for microdermabrasion treatment-
Exquisite Exfoliation- Microdermabrasion stands as the best beauty technology for exfoliation, instantly revealing a brighter and clearer complexion.
Noninvasive and Painless- With zero downtime, microdermabrasion ensures a painless and noninvasive experience suitable for all skin types and tones.
Versatility- Effectively addressing superficial pigmentation, fine lines, and mild scarring, microdermabrasion offers a versatile solution for various skin concerns.
Acne-Prone Skin Benefits- Helping to reduce congestion and control breakouts, microdermabrasion proves beneficial for acne-prone skin.
Collagen Boost- By stimulating blood flow and collagen production, microdermabrasion enhances skin elasticity, tone, and texture.
Safe and Cost-Effective- Microdermabrasion guarantees safety and cost-effectiveness, making it a preferred and accessible beauty treatment.
Conclusion
This is how Microdermabrasion treatment in India emerges as an effective skincare solution, offering a noninvasive solution for achieving a refined and polished skin. With its transformative impact on various skin concerns, embrace the beauty of microdermabrasion treatment, unlocking the path to a refined and polished skin finish.

Feels so shameful to go to an NYC dermatologist for an actual medical concern instead of for the various services and procedures that help you stay attractive to pedos for longer. Not that any dermo has ever directly said EW GRODY to my face for needing a mole removed or whatever; it's just a matter of reading the room.

Breast health
By and large, pros tell us that ditching a bra doesn’t vary much cup size to cup size. However, those with a C cup and beyond will experience the same impacts of not wearing a bra, while those B cup and below can expect to have the same experience when ditching a bra. Want to know more? Keep reading for all of the benefits you can reap when you #freethenipple.
Benefits of going braless
1. Improved muscle tone and breast shape: “There is evidence that wearing a bra can make the muscles and ligaments that support the breasts lazy over time, leading to breast sagging and laxity,” says Dr. Sekhon. She points out that this means the common misconception that going braless for an extended period of time makes your breasts sag is, in reality, the opposite: “Women who have gone long periods without wearing a bra often report that this leads their breasts to being firmer, rounder, and perkier over time,” she says. At first, those with heavier or fuller breasts may feel more back strain when not wearing a bra, though. “It can take weeks to build up the strength in their chest and back muscles for the breasts to become well supported without a bra,” says Dr. Sekhon.
2. Better circulation: As we all know, wearing a bra for hours on end can feel constricting. “It can impede blood flow to the muscles in the back and chest wall, and this reduction in blood flow can lead to aching back and chest muscles, as well as diminishing blood flow to the breasts,” says Dr. Sekhon. “Improvements in circulation may be more drastic in women with large breasts versus those with small breasts when they stop wearing a bra, as bras supporting larger breasts tend to fit tighter than those worn by women with smaller breasts measuring A to B cup in size,” she says.
3. Increased comfort over time: Dr. Sekhon points out that so many women are used to wearing bras for the majority of their days, meaning that when they go braless, it can make them feel exposed. But in the long-term, she says that women report that they become “desensitized, and these feelings are replaced with feeling much more comfortable and free overall.” The combined feelings of comfort and better circulation can even contribute to better sleep, and better breast health, she adds. Depending on your breast size though, Dr. Sekhon says that women with smaller breasts may have a less drastic improvement in comfort when not wearing a bra versus women with large breasts, since “the weight of larger breasts can cause a lot more tension on the shoulders, especially where the bra straps sit.” However, says Dr. Sekhon, overall breast health has been the same regardless of breast size.
4. Better breast skin health: Wearing a bra regularly tends to trap moisture, dirt, and sweat against the skin of your breast, according to Dr. Sekhon, who notes that this can predispose you to clogged pores and major skin irritation. That’s because, sweat gets trapped on the breasts and skin of the chest, back, and shoulders, under the bra which can lead to skin irritation. Board-certified dermatologist and co-founder of LM Medical in NYC Morgan Rabach, MD, says that this skin irritation can be acne mechanica. “This is a type of acne that comes from friction, sweat, and pressure on the skin,” she says. “Women get this from bra wearing.
Well, I’m feeling validated, HBU?
Dr. Josie Maran, founder and CEO of Josie Maran states, “I encourage everyone I know to enjoy going braless, while promoting a body-positivity attitude.”

6 Months after CoolSculpting Elite for Bra Fat Reduction.
Six months following CoolSculpting Elite treatment for bra fat reduction, the patient shows significant improvements in the targeted area. CoolSculpting Elite is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure that selectively freezes and eliminates stubborn fat cells, providing a more contoured and sculpted appearance. This technology, which utilizes controlled cooling, is particularly effective in addressing the localized fat deposits commonly found around the bra line.
One of the key benefits observed six months post-treatment is the reduction in bulges and rolls around the bra line, leading to a more aesthetically pleasing silhouette. The body continues to flush out the crystallized fat cells through its natural metabolic processes, contributing to the ongoing improvement in the treated area.
The procedure's effectiveness and minimal downtime make it an appealing option for those seeking a non-invasive solution to address bra fat bulges. To consult Dr. Ron Shelton please call (212) 593-1818 or book online at https://www.thenyac.com/book-a-consultation/

i’m really curious about wendy and her backstory!! here are some q’s but if there’s anything else that’s been big and important in her life, i’d love to know! i’m not sure if i’m remembering correctly, but i think both her parents are doctors and her family is relatively wealthy. does she have a good relationship with her parents? does she have any siblings or extended family that she’s close to? what was her childhood like? did she begin to transition as a teenager or is that something more recent? is she medically transitioning? why does she want to be a doctor? what does she want her life to be like in 10 years?
Oh my! The big questions!
Under the cut because it got a little long:
Wendy's parents are both doctors yes, from NYC. Her father, Sheldon, is an anesthesiologist and her mother, Lydia, is a dermatologist, who has since branched out and opened 3 different clinics. She grew up in the upper east side, wealthy yes, but not "fuck you money" such as Luke and Jonah. Wendy always knew it was expected of her to take up on the family business.
Her parents are quite formal and distant, she was raised by nannies, and they call each other by full names. Her parents haven't been in love for the longest time, but they don't divorce because of appearances... Their worry about "sppearances" got in the way of Wendy's transition and self discovery.
She came out to her parents as trans when she was a 14 and it was met with a lot of reluctance and dismissed. Eventually, by the time she was almost 16, her mental health deteriorated bad enough that her parents "conceded". As you can see by "conceded" I mean they "allowed" her to transition, very far from being happy and supportive. Wendy is very bitter about this, rightfully so.
She started medically transitioning at 17, but took her a while to feel happy in her own skin. Med school far from home (she initially was a student in UPenn) definitely helped her. Her parents took so long to even stop deadnaming her, it was freeing going to Penn and never having to deal with that, for a change.
After finishing her undergrad program, Wendy chose to do her residency in the guys university (which is techinically in Maine, but idk USA geography so please don't quote me in anything "maine"), so she meets Jon in her first year of internship in the hospital.
I don't have a plan for Wen's future, just like I don't have one for any of the characters, I'm mostly vibing and letting them go where the story takes them. But if you aske Wendy, right now, she'd say she wants to be a neurologist, mostly because she's very interested in all the concussion cases that end up in her hands, since they have a quite active football team.
She didn't chose to be a doctor, it was always expected of her and she's got a natural talent for it, so she quite enjoys it! But if you ask her what she wanted to work with as a kid and something she still really likes doing on the side it's interior design! Decorating! Even fashion too, but mostly house stuff! She's got a very acute sense of style, one some people mind find tacky, and she absolutely splurges in house decor.

Sorry ik you don’t wanna talk about ⚫️🐡 skincare TikTok, but this is the anon that’s studying to be a dermatologist so I wanted to give my thoughts 😂 first of all, her disclaimer literally addressed everything I said I hated about influencer recommendations 😭😭 like girl make it more obvious you read on here. Obviously not surprised about the price of the products she uses (although they’re good products if you wanna splurge, if she truly had “normal skin”, she wouldn’t need it. So seems misleading to me). Lastly it irked me that she said facialists were skin professionals. Ofc you’ll get a banging facial from somewhere like the Rescue Spa in nyc, but those facialists are gonna promote products they sell at their spa. They simply don’t have the medical knowledge a dermatologist would when recommending products for skin, they just get commission on selling the products ⚫️🐡 shows. Anyways moral of the story ladies, don’t think you need those products for great skin. Use SPF, vitamin C, retinol— products that are clinically proven to address a multitude of skin concerns. And the great thing about social media now is that so many board certified dermatologists give free advice on this stuff and bust a lot of skincare myths, so listen to actual professionals!
I will post this. Thank You
❤️💛🩷💚💜🧡🩵

17 questions, 17 people
thanks for the tag @seresinhangmanjake – go read hers here!
nickname: Em is a nickname! I will also accept thot
sign: Capricorn
height: 5′2"
last thing i googled: Restaurants midtown NYC (lol going next week and need to set up a meeting place with a client and can we just admit Midtown central kind of blows for good non-steak house options?)
song stuck in my head: Midnight Rain
number of followers: 774
amount of sleep: 7 hours
lucky number: 13
dream job: Dermatologist, OBGYN or author!
wearing: Lululemon head to toe like the suburban mom I aspire to be (define jacket, align pants, align bra)
movies/books that summarize you: Ooh not sure I can find one that summarizes me. I'll just leave you with the idea that my vibe is Leslie Mann's character in "How To Be Single"
favorite song currently? Weirdly it's gotta be "Somewhere in the Orange" by Zach Bryan
aesthetic: Old world academia + Southern ladies who lunch + suburban yoga mom + OCD chef
favorite author: Do not make me choose from my babies. I'm on a bit of a Ruth Ware kick as I just finished "The It Girl" but I really pop around, it's more of a genre thing to me – mystery + romance + English Victorian lit. Also weird book plug but I read "I Am Pilgrim" by Terry Hayes last year and it was one of the best books I've read in the last decade.
random fun fact: I drunkenly knocked on an office door in my old office building desperate to know what they did because they had no signage. Ends up they were the corporate comms teams for the NY Islanders, which is how I found myself sitting in their owner's box the next night at Barclays eating a sushi buffet and wearing a free Islanders hat that I still own to this day. I also met Anne Hathaway in a bathroom in that building.
