I personally believe this is one of my most underrated fics. It's a fic I had an immediate idea for, and feel like I executed it really well. I love the atmosphere I was able to build, and I think the twists came out just right.

I think I really nailed the relationship development between Dean and Cas, along with blending canon elements into the AU setting. Also @mayonnaisetoffees deserves even more love for their amazing pod work.

Honestly I'm just proud I successfully pulled off not just a time loop but a time loop that was done from the non-looping character's POV. Plus can't leave out the phenomenal work that @fluxydrawings did! They make me listen to my own words a hundred times over.

Fandom: Teen Wolf

Pairing: Stiles Stilinski/Derek Hale

Summary: Stiles is a vampire escaping from hunters and he just so happens to run right onto a certain Alpha Hale's territory while starving.

“Get out of the way,” Stiles hisses, fangs poking at his bottom lip, eyes glowing silver in the darkness of the woods. He couldn’t control them if he tried now.

But the dark-haired alpha doesn’t listen, his thick eyebrows pulling even closer together as a growl reverberates around the clearing. And Stiles knows he doesn’t have the strength to make him listen, not now—not when his legs feel like they’re about to give out, his body screaming for the steady pulse of blood he can hear thumping through the werewolf’s veins. Its scent is heady, especially when he’s so hungry. He can feel the tension coiling in his legs, his hands flexing at his sides, claws elongating, as he eyes the skin at the ‘wolf’s neck and prepares to lunge. The hunger pulling the color from his vision and the strength from his limbs is devastating, almost worse than it’s ever been after being tortured and starved by hunters for weeks and then escaping and being chased right into this alpha’s territory. And he would have already jumped, already heeded the call of the blood in the alpha’s veins except for the self-preservation instinct keeping him still—because he knows the ‘wolf, even in his human form, has the strength to rip him apart when he’s this weak. Then the hunters won’t even have to bother.
