buying spencer underwear with fun patterns on them like cats or rainbows or lightning bolts and he's just 😦😬 while ur just 💓💞💕💖💗
Spencer's standing groggily in his tighty whiteys when you reveal your early-morning shopping spree to him. You'd stopped for a drink at Starbucks, and enjoyed it while browsing through the nearest department store. They'd had a sale on boxers, and you'd taken full advantage, six pairs clutched in your hands while you grin devilishlt at Spencer.
"You bought me underwear?" He asks, seemingly mortified despite his sleepy state. You'd gone for an early morning dentist appointment before shopping, but you'd let Spencer enjoy a lazier morning. You'd practically tackled him where he'd been sleeping beneath the covers to show him your haul, and you're glad you didn't take him with you and ruin your chances of buying the boxers.
"You can keep these in your go-bag, just in case," You separate one of the packages from the other two, one pair of boxers dotted with rubber ducks on blue fabric, the other leopard print, "Then these can stay at my apartment," You toss another package onto the bed, donut-patterned and crab-adorned.
"But these," You hold up the last package, a 2-pair of boxers that are stamped with kiss marks in varying shades of pink, "These we're keeping here."
"I can't wear those," Spencer gushes bashfully, "I- thank you, angel, but I- those aren't- those are embarrassing."
Your face dims and you narrow your eyes at him ever-so-slightly, "Spencer Reid, I'm going to see you in kiss-print underwear if it's the last thing I do. You can either wear these," You hold up the package in your hand, "Or I can put on some lipstick and decorate those myself." You point at his white briefs, and he tenses in his spot.
His mind, body, and soul are screaming at him to pick the second option, but the persistent embarrassment he's felt since you unleashed your secret store of patterned underpants upon him wins out over them all.
"I'll wash them first," He mumbles, stepping forwards to take the package out of your hands and rush to the laundry room before you can see how pink his cheeks are.
But it's too late, and you snicker as he tries rushing out. You move quickly and land a light smack to his ass, and he yelps at it like you've struck him with a belt.
"Too bad! I wanted to kiss your cute butt, Spence."

Thank you for responding back to me about being a dental hygienist. And for offering the chance to learn more. I was wondering if you had a good work life balance with your schedule and do you think you’re fairly compensated. I’ve been trying to figure out what to be and I’ve been looking into rdh or x-ray tech.
Also I hear that rdh causes a lot of neck pain, and you can’t do it for long. Do you feel like this field causes a lot of body harm? And do you think you can do this career without having to quit and find something else? (Sorry I know this is a lot, you don’t have to answer if anything makes you uncomfortable)
As an RDH you have good control of your schedule! A lot of positions are part-time as well. As a newer grad, I work three days a week & i’m thinking about going up to four.
I’m based in California where pay is on the high end, i’m paid $60/hr as a new grad! Washington pays about the same as CA. Personally, I do feel fairly compensated.
Call your dentist’s office and see if a hygienist is available for you to shadow! It really solidified my decision to become a hygienist. Also looks good on an application & is even a pre-req requirement for some schools!
Hygiene is definitely hard on your body because of small, repetitive motions. As long as you are practicing proper ergonomics (seating positions, indirect vision, etc.) and getting consistent exercise and movement, you can stay in hygiene for a full career.
Being a clinician isn’t the only path a hygienist can take! If you get a Bachelor’s degree you can work in managerial roles, education, research. You could become a sales rep for companies like Crest. There’s also a Masters degree available for DH.
You can 100% pursue this career without having to quit with or without stepping out of the clinic!
I love answering questions! Feel free to ask away!

I'm trying to figure out the best way to protect my mental health in the face of my debut year. Do you have any tips for authors who are being perceived for the first time?
I have been sitting on this one a bit because I don't want to give BAD advice, and also it feels like a huge topic? I dunno, I guess I'll just dive in and see where this goes . . .
First of all: CONGRATULATIONS on your forthcoming debut! Hooray! I hope you are allowing yourself time to celebrate and have fun, and not just letting your anxiety run amok.
If you know that you are an anxious or otherwise easily freaked-out person by nature, it's a good idea to set some boundaries for yourself NOW so that they will hopefully take root and be relatively simple to continue. You might start by identifying your triggers and trying to like, overcome them in advance.
For example: I KNOW this about myself -- I have ADHD and anxiety. If I don't have a schedule and a list, I will derail and just start procrastinating which sends me into a spiral that can take ages to dig out of.
I also know about myself that if I have to do something in the middle of a work day, like "go to a lunch" or "go to the dentist" -- I might as well write the whole rest of the day off as a loss, because there's NO WAY I'm getting anything done once I come home.
So I set a schedule for myself and (try to) keep to it. I make lots of lists, set lots of reminders, and when those days come where I know there's a mid-day situation happening, I block those times out so that I don't feel bad for not doing anything when I come home because I was already scheduled to not do anything. :-)
I also don't look at news during the work day because if I do, I will for sure just go down a rabbit hole. I also try not to answer work emails after 7pm or on weekends. I also have a timer app-thing that kicks me off twitter / insta during the work day if I'm on there for more than 10 minutes.
All of this is my way of managing my time, which means that when I am AT WORK, I actually get things done (hopefully!) -- and when I am OFF WORK, I actually practice self-care and DON'T WORK, which means I'm less likely to stress out and burn out.
Now -- I don't know what YOUR struggles are. But identifying them will help you figure out strategies to combat them, right?
I'd suggest that ways to combat the terror of being perceived MIGHT include strictly limiting what you share about your private life online, and limiting your social media use by means of a timer or some such that will allow you to dip in and post something if you want to, but won't allow you to get fully sucked in. Setting boundaries about the time you spend on responding to emails and things of that nature. Learning that it is OK to say no to things (but allow that sometimes it might be good to say YES to things even if they make you a little uncomfortable to think about, because those things MIGHT be great opportunities!) -- and while yes, it IS great to make friends with other writers who are in a similar boat to you -- also, if you have good friends who are NOT WRITERS, who don't really get that life at all but just want to go on a road trip or something like that, KEEP THEM, because it's healthy to have interests and activities that DO NOT include writing, obsessing about writing, obsessing about sales or whatever, and writer-world gossip.
In other words - make taking the time to enjoy yourself and the world outside of writing a priority, not a "luxury when you have time but you never have time" -- a PRIORITY. Take walks, or play pickle-ball, read a great book, or hug a puppy, or whatever it is -- just give yourself the chance to GO OUTSIDE AND TOUCH SOME GRASS (literally or figuratively) when you can, because surely, whatever your mental health challenges are, sitting on the internet absorbing writer drama will not be helpful to them.
Also, if you don't have a therapist, it might be a good idea to get one.

You can ask a grocery store or drug store to order things, sometimes you can order online and get it delivered to your local store.
Also if you don't know what toothpaste to request this is something I would definitely ask all toothpaste sales reps about as a dentist. Ask your dentist if they have an idea or a sample.
A lot of brands that make different flavoured toothpaste do mark it up by a lot, but their products are very good. You can look up Sunstar/GUM, TePe, and Curaden for very good brushes and toothpastes with different flavours.
A lot of companies do make specialty items but don't market them to the public at large. Some things are usually sold through practices and pharmacists, but if you request them a normal drug store should also get them.
Toothpaste companies must really hate people who are allergic to mint toothpaste, which a lot of people are! Apparently it's NOT supposed to burn like minty hellfire? (I'm fine with mint candy, it's only mint toothpaste that hurts)
I've been using Tom's fennel for years, but am now trying to find one with fluoride in it, and finding a toothpaste that is no mint and yes fluoride should not be such a huge and infuriating quest. still got some more grocery stores to search, but not even the children's toothpaste in the nearest one had any that were suitable.

The Essential Guide to a Smooth Dental Practice Purchase
Purchasing a dental practice is a pivotal moment in a dentist's career, representing not only a significant financial investment but also an opportunity to shape the future of patient care. However, the process of acquiring a dental practice purchase can be complex and fraught with challenges. To ensure a smooth transition, prospective buyers need to be equipped with the right knowledge and tools. This essential guide outlines the critical steps involved in purchasing a dental practice, highlighting key considerations and best practices to facilitate a successful acquisition.
Understanding the Landscape of Dental Practice Purchases
The Growing Market for Dental Practices
The dental industry continues to experience growth, driven by an increasing awareness of oral health and advancements in dental technology. As a result, the demand for dental practices has risen, creating a competitive market for buyers. Factors contributing to this growth include:
Aging Population: An older demographic often requires more dental services, leading to increased demand for practices.
Technological Innovations: Modern dental technologies enhance treatment options and attract more patients.
Preventive Care Emphasis: An increasing focus on preventive care has resulted in more people seeking dental services regularly.
Given this environment, potential buyers must approach the acquisition process strategically to capitalize on available opportunities.
Step 1: Define Your Objectives
Before embarking on the journey of purchasing a dental practice, buyers should clearly define their objectives. This involves:
Identifying Practice Type: Determine whether the goal is to acquire a solo practice, a multi-location group, or a specialized clinic.
Setting Location Preferences: Identify preferred geographic areas based on market demand and personal considerations.
Establishing Financial Goals: Outline expected revenue, profitability, and return on investment to guide the decision-making process.
Step 2: Conduct Thorough Market Research
Understanding the market landscape is crucial for making informed decisions. Buyers should engage in comprehensive market research that includes:
Analyzing Demographics: Investigate the population size, age distribution, and income levels in the target area to gauge potential patient demand.
Assessing Competition: Identify existing dental practices in the vicinity and analyze their services, patient demographics, and reputation.
Identifying Trends: Stay informed about emerging trends in dental care, such as new technologies and treatment modalities, to position the practice for future growth.
Step 3: Seek Professional Guidance
Navigating the complexities of purchasing a dental practice can be overwhelming. Engaging professionals can provide valuable support and insight. Buyers should consider:
Dental Practice Brokers: These experts can help identify suitable practices for sale and offer insights into market conditions.
Accountants: A knowledgeable accountant can assist in evaluating the financial health of the practice and advising on tax implications.
Legal Advisors: An attorney specializing in dental acquisitions can help navigate legal complexities, including contracts and compliance issues.
Step 4: Evaluate Financial Health
A thorough evaluation of the financial health of a potential practice is essential. Buyers should:
Review Financial Statements: Analyze the practice’s financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for at least the past three years.
Assess Revenue Sources: Identify primary sources of revenue, such as general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, and specialty services.
Examine Expenses: Review operating expenses, including salaries, rent, and supplies, to identify areas for potential cost savings.
Key Financial Metrics to Consider
Gross Revenue: Total income generated by the practice before any expenses.
Net Profit Margin: The percentage of revenue that remains as profit after all expenses are deducted, indicating the practice's profitability.
Patient Volume: The number of patients treated over a specific period, which can provide insights into the practice's capacity and demand.
Step 5: Conduct Due Diligence
Due diligence is a critical phase in the acquisition process. Buyers must thoroughly investigate the practice to uncover any potential issues or red flags. Key areas to focus on include:
Patient Records: Review patient demographics, retention rates, and appointment histories to assess the stability of the patient base.
Legal Compliance: Ensure the practice adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing requirements and health codes.
Staff Contracts: Examine existing employment agreements and staff satisfaction levels to gauge potential disruptions post-acquisition.
Step 6: Determine Practice Valuation
Accurately valuing the practice is crucial for making informed financial decisions. Buyers should consider:
Valuation Methods: Familiarize themselves with common methods of valuation, including the income approach, market approach, and asset-based approach.
Professional Appraisal: Hiring a professional appraiser can provide an objective valuation of the practice, helping to ensure a fair purchase price.
Negotiation Strategy: Prepare to negotiate the purchase price based on the valuation and findings from due diligence.
Common Valuation Approaches
Income Approach: Estimates value based on the practice's ability to generate future cash flows, discounted to present value.
Market Approach: Compares the practice to similar practices recently sold, adjusting for differences in size, location, and services offered.
Asset-Based Approach: Evaluates the value of tangible and intangible assets, providing a baseline for the practice's worth.
Step 7: Explore Financing Options
Securing financing is a crucial aspect of the acquisition process. Buyers should explore various financing options, including:
Traditional Bank Loans: Many buyers opt for conventional loans from banks or credit unions, which may offer competitive interest rates and terms.
SBA Loans: The Small Business Administration (SBA) provides loan guarantees that make it easier for buyers to secure financing, often with favorable terms.
Dental-Specific Lenders: Some lenders specialize in financing dental practices, offering tailored products that may better suit the buyer's needs.
Preparing for Financing
Before applying for financing, buyers should prepare comprehensive financial documentation, including:
Personal Financial Statements: An overview of personal assets, liabilities, and income.
Business Plans: A detailed business plan outlining future goals for the practice, including projected revenue and growth strategies.
Step 8: Prepare for Negotiations
Entering negotiations equipped with knowledge and strategy is vital for a successful acquisition. Buyers should:
Establish an Offer Price: Determine a fair offer based on the practice’s valuation and findings from due diligence.
Define Terms of Sale: Discuss payment structures, including down payments, financing options, and any contingencies related to the sale.
Prepare for Counteroffers: Be ready to negotiate and respond to counteroffers from the seller.
Step 9: Plan for a Smooth Transition
A well-thought-out transition plan is essential for retaining patients and staff. Buyers should consider:
Communication Strategy: Develop a clear communication plan to inform staff and patients about the transition, ensuring transparency and fostering trust.
Staff Involvement: Engage existing staff during the transition to maintain morale and operational continuity, making them feel included in the new direction of the practice.
Patient Retention Strategies: Implement strategies to reassure patients and encourage them to continue their care with the new owner.
Step 10: Finalize the Purchase Agreement
Once negotiations are complete, it is time to finalize the purchase agreement. Buyers must:
Review the Contract: Carefully review the purchase agreement to ensure all terms are clearly defined and understood.
Include Contingencies: Consider including contingencies that protect the buyer’s interests, such as financing contingencies or performance-based clauses.
Seek Legal Review: Have a qualified attorney review the agreement to ensure it complies with all legal requirements and protects the buyer's interests.
Step 11: Prepare for Ownership
Transitioning into ownership involves several important steps. Buyers should:
Develop a Business Plan: Create a comprehensive business plan outlining goals, strategies, and financial projections to guide future decision-making.
Invest in Marketing: Consider marketing initiatives to promote the practice, attract new patients, and communicate the benefits of the new ownership.
Focus on Continuous Improvement: Stay committed to ongoing professional development and practice improvement to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Conclusion
Purchasing a dental practice is a complex and multifaceted endeavor that requires careful planning, thorough research, and strategic execution. By following this essential guide, prospective buyers can navigate the complexities of the acquisition process and ensure a smooth transition into practice ownership. From defining objectives and conducting market research to evaluating financial health and preparing for negotiations, each step is crucial to achieving success. For those seeking expert guidance throughout this journey, Cohen Law Firm PLLC offers invaluable resources and support, helping buyers make informed decisions and achieve their professional aspirations in the dental field.
