Do You Know That Your Love is the Sweetest Sin? (Denali Foxx/Joey Jay) - Joley
Summary: Denali certainly didn’t go to the synagogue on Sabbath with the intent of getting laid, but maybe she was due for an unusual blessing.
ao3 link
“Denali, don’t be rude.”
Denali startled awake when her dad lightly shook her by the shoulder and she realized everyone was standing up. She scrambled to her feet, smoothing out her dress in the process and mouthing along to the prayers. She didn’t speak or read Hebrew, let alone have the prayers memorized.
Her father sighed. “Why don’t you go into the powder room and play on your phone? Come back in an hour.”
She graciously nodded and slipped out as inconspicuously as possible. The powder room separated the women’s bathroom from the hallway and had a couch and coffee table as well as a marble counter and wall-width mirror. So, she sat down on the couch and took off her shoes, deciding to get comfortable.
It hadn’t been ten minutes before another girl about her age wandered into the powder room. “Oh thank god, I thought I was the only person under fifty here.”
Denali looked up and giggled softly, looking the girl over. She had bleach-blonde hair that faded into lavender, her face framed by glasses and her figure still apparent through her modest clothing. “Me too, you’re a sight for sore eyes. I’m Denali.”
“Right back atcha, sweetie. I’m Joey,” she hummed and joined her on the couch. “You home for spring break? I go nearby, ASU”
“Yup! I go to the University of Chicago,” she replied with a smile and a shrug. “But between you and me, I think I’m gonna move out there for good after graduation?”
Joey nodded as she listened. “Isn’t that super hard to get into, though?”
“I mean like, it has a six percent acceptance rate but whatever,” she giggled, tossing her hair off her shoulder.
“And so humble,” she teased. “Listen, I don’t wanna be presumptuous or whatever, but we’ve got an hour or so to kill, so why don’t we…”
“In here? Where a seventy-year-old woman named Esther could walk in and have a heart attack?”
Joey laughed and shook her head. “Of course not, follow me,” she hummed, getting up and offering Denali her hand, leading her down the hallway to an empty classroom. “They mostly just use this for after-school care now, so unless that weirds you out…”
“Nah, I’ve had sex in much weirder places,” Denali replied with a shrug before she set her bag on one of the children’s chairs and hopped up onto the wooden teacher’s desk, pulling Joey between her legs, kissing her deeply. “But that’s a story for another time.”
Joey haphazardly let her bag fall to the floor as she kissed back. “I guess we’ll just have to make sure there’s another time, then,” she hummed once they came up for air. She leaned back in, nipping at her bottom lip. Her hands wandered up Denali’s thighs, pushing her dress as far up as it’d go before moving underneath and tugging her panties down to her knees.
Denali smirked, running her fingers through Joey’s hair. “I love a girl that cuts right to the chase,” she purred, cupping her face and capturing her lips in another kiss.
“We are on a bit of a time crunch, after all,” she reminded her as she nudged her thighs apart, then used two fingers to rub small, firm circles against her clit. “And you might not wanna be too loud, just in case.”
Of course, being told not to be loud made it immensely more difficult for Denali to keep her mouth shut. She bit down on her lip, whimpering softly as she arched into Joey’s touch.
“Be good,” Joey’s warning was quiet and gentle, but stern. She waited for a beat to make sure Denali was staying put before easing one finger into her pussy, then another, thrusting slowly at first, but quickly building up a steady rhythm when she was certain that she could take it. “There we go, good girl,” she praised.
Denali let her body relax, yielding to Joey’s movements, pulling her into another fierce kiss just to keep herself quiet. But even with all the control she could muster, when she started to feel her orgasm building up inside her, the control crumbled in an instant and her hips were bucking up eagerly, needing just enough touch to push over the edge.
And lucky for her, Joey picked up on it and gave her what she needed, her other hand rubbing her clit in time with her thrusts, fucking Denali through her orgasm, not relenting until she was certain she was spent. “You good, baby?”
“Uh-huh,” she nodded as she caught her breath and collected herself. After quickly checking her phone, she pushed herself off of the desk, pulled up her underwear, and dropped onto her knees, undoing the fly of Joey’s slacks and tugging them and her panties down.
Joey tried not to let her surprise show, shifting so her back was against the desk for balance, gently collecting Denali’s hair into a ponytail while the other girl situated her face between her thighs and swirled her tongue around her clit. “Fuck…”
“Now who needs to be quiet?” Denali teased, though she didn’t give her a chance to reply before she continued, sucking on her clit as she slipped a finger into her, her pace similar to Joey’s, but not quite as fervent.
Joey’s eyes shut and her jaw clenched, her grip on Denali’s hair tightening as she focused on making as little noise as possible. But just like before, when she got close to coming, her composure eroded and she was barely stifling whimpers and moans by the time she came. “Oh my god…” she exhaled.
Denali stood back up and pecked her lips. “See? We had a religious moment after all,” she joked and took a step back while Joey got dressed.
The two of them quickly made their way back to the powder room, using their remaining time fixing their hair and makeup, doing their best to make it look like they hadn’t just fucked in a synagogue, something that would undoubtedly horrify everyone still participating in the Sabbath service. But for them, that made it that much hotter.
After the service, Denali and Joey reconnected, chatting and exchanging numbers, making plans to see each other again before Denali had to return to Chicago, plans to hang out over the summer. Sure, if anything did develop between them, they’d have to leave out the sinful details of their first encounter, but it would be a story they would always remember fondly.

Here are my first impressions of Meet the Queens for anyone who cares even tho I think only like two or three of my followers are interested in drag race:
Symone: interesting but but too much
Olivia Lux: she seems nice and cute
Utica Queen: I really like her look, I really wanna see more of her outfits and desings
Elliott with 2Ts: meh
Tina Burner: try hard
Tamisha Iman: I didn't like her look but she mentioned she does everything she makes so I'm interested, I really like queens who can sew and design
Denali: I don't like her voice, idk why. Her look? I don't really like it but I can see how it's interesting
Rosé: I absolutely hate her wig, her dress, her accessories.... her make up was nice but god I fucking hated everything else. Personality wise, I didn't hate her but didn't love her either
LaLa Ri: don't like her look and she's nervous about sewing so that makes me roll my eyes a bit
Kandy Muse: reminds me a bit of Eureka? I liked her look but her personality not so much. "I've never seen a queen like me" hmmm,,,,, x doubt
Joey Jay: I have no problem with her being wigless, it could be interesting to watch, I like her aesthetic
GottMik: I feel conflicted about her look
Kahmora Hall: not interested, that's all. Kinda strikes me as the one who goes home first,

Denali x Joey Jay was just Denali being a thirst bucket, in all honesty. But can I be honest? Season 13 didn't feel like a real season. I only remember three queens from it. There was just so much drama and controversy surrounding the season and I think that ruined things too.
Joey too tho, and all the screenshots of him answering FT calls in the shower likeee dnsjxjsn I can’t agree with you here bestie, sorry 🥴 I really enjoyed s13, I didn’t enjoy how they played with the porkchop girls feelings like that but other than that I liked it. I didn’t mind that it was the longest season bc there wasn’t much else for me to look forward to and I liked the cast for the most part too. I enjoy drama too, well, it depends what it’s about too but I found it entertaining.
S12 cast had a lot of controversy— well, 2 of the girls and then the one we don’t talk about.

Let’s Fall in Love for the Night, Chapter 1/2 (Gottrosé/Rosnali/Gottlux) - Sunflower
Chapter summary: Mik missed the physical aspects of having someone on call for things like consoling her after a tinder date gone wrong, or even just a one night stand to make breakfast for in the morning. It was hard, seeing her best friend and previous partner so fulfilled by something Mik had yet to experience. Sitting in a cozy apartment covered in coupley photographs and little houseplants, partially? It made Mik sick to her stomach.
A/N: Hi divas :)!! Here’s part one of two from a season 13 New York set multi-ship that takes place in a soulmate au!! I thought I would play around with some cross-over ships from the drag race franchise!! No trigger warnings but Mik is written as a trans-woman in this story and mentions their own (in story) dead name. (I’ve never written a trans main character before and never want to write anything insensitive/inaccurate so feedback is appreciated!!)
“It’s weird,” Mik pondered, looking after the assorted photographs framed on the walls of Rosé’s semi-shared apartment. Donut, Denali’s dog, holding a slobbery bone in the dog park with Rosé knelt beside her in cherry red athletic wear, then-ginger hair slicked back into a ponytail and face glowing under the afternoon sun. Denali and Rosé, side by side at her sister Jan’s wedding from only a few month’s prior, dressed in complementary shades of lavender and magenta with smiles stretching from ear to ear, the moment encapsulated behind glass in a slender gold frame. “Seeing you with someone else.”
Little touches of Denali were scattered throughout the apartment like lipstick stains, loose scrunchies instead of Rosé’s normal hair ties in a little catch-all bowl by the front door, the presence of weird little kitchen gadgets and almond instead of whole milk in the refrigerator door. Denali kept her Chicago apartment and her loft farther up in the city for when she needed down time to herself, and on nights when practicing down at the rink kept her out late at night and up and leaving early in the morning.
From behind the counter, Rosé spoke hesitantly, as she poured herself another glass of bubbly champagne colored liquid. “Good weird or bad weird?”
“Just… weird as in different. I didn’t take you for the settling down type..,” Mik interjected, sinking into a barstool across the counter from her slightly older ex-lover. “But she’s good for you,” the dark haired girl interjected, looking down into the condensating drink sitting in front of her, wishing that staring at a couple ice cubes could suck the awkward energy from the room out through her irises. “Denali, I mean,” she furthered, longing for the alcohol to overtake the dryness in her words as she sipped her drink.
She wished she was lying, but Rosé meeting Denali was probably the best thing that could have happened to her. Finding her soulmate was something the singer always put on an act like she wasn’t desperate for, but internally, Rosé desired to encounter her other half as much as anyone, desired for that feeling of underlying longing to dissipate. When she ran into the Latina ice dancer during her trip to New York during the holidays, the two colliding outside a coffee shop in early December, something in the pink haired woman softened, letting down her harsh exterior in ways that Mik had never witnessed during their relationship as friends-with-benefits over the last year or so, pre-Rosénali.
Even after only meeting her once or twice, Mik knew that Denali was genuinely good. She was bubbly and personable, and she shared the same subtle confidence and suave that her girlfriend did, but she pulled vulnerability out of Rose, made her more susceptible to not hide behind the overly confident and performative bold energy that sometimes felt exhausting to maintain.
Mik missed the physical aspects of having someone on call for things like consoling her after a tinder date gone wrong, or even just a one night stand to make breakfast for in the morning. It was hard, seeing her best friend and previous partner so fulfilled by something Mik had yet to experience. Sitting in a cozy apartment covered in coupley photographs and little houseplants, partially? It made Mik sick to her stomach.
“Believe me, I never thought I would be the type either,” she admitted, eyes expressing some sort of look at Mik couldn’t recognize. “I think growing up with Jan and Jackie made it hard to, seeing my sister be with this perfect person, it felt impossible for me to ever have anything close to that. She just… makes me better, and accepts all of me, which I think is all I could ask for from a person.”
Not that Mik could blame Rose for being so cautious around any kind of feelings, Jan and Jackie were the ideal outcome of the soulmate system. High school sweethearts after the Persian girl moved from Canada to New York, spending their years coupled up in immense happiness within their extended engagement and going to college together. One year post-graduation and the pair hosted a sapphic wedding worthy of the pages in a Vogue magazine spread.
A typical silence fell between the two girls, the sound of some miscellaneous Ariana Grande song hummed in the background behind them.
Sitting down beside her, Rose posed a question, gathering her hair into a haphazard ponytail as she spoke. A few strands of once-ginger and since then pinked hair escaped the elastic, Mik from only a few months prior would have held no qualms in leaning over to push back the stray hairs, to embrace a small gesture of intimacy. “Have you ever considered going back to LA? I know that it’s a sore spot but maybe…”
Snickering, Mik shook her head disapprovingly. “I’m not going back,” she retorted, letting a saddened laugh escape her. “Seeing Gigi and Crystal, the thought alone puts a sour taste in my mouth. If I’m really someone’s soulmate, the universe wil put them right here,” she remarked, seeing the look of pity washing over her former lover’s face.
Los Angeles summoned primarily saddening memories for Mik as of late, remembering New Year’s Eve not so fondly, and that sinking feeling of walking in on Gigi, tangled and entwined amongst the torso of a young Latina woman with a head full of dark spiral curls. The voice of her partner calling out for her as she slammed the apartment door closed behind her, blubbering as hot tears traveled down her face in the backseat of an Uber on her way to crash at Kandy’s house.
“It just feels impossible, Rosie,” the young makeup artist softened, feeling hazel eyes focusing in on her as she. Continued. “What if… What if Kade was someone’s soulmate, not… not Mik,” she mumbled, feeling an unfamiliar sensation of tears blurring her direct vision. Crying was Joey’s gig, not hers, as she wiped away the tears cautiously, trying not to smudge her graphic black liner.
Mik embraced confidence in every area of her life, pre and post transition, and her internalized dysphoria when discussing soulmates was an insecurity that she had never mentioned to anyone before, her fear that her genuine, authentic self wasn’t something anyone was looking for. Her surgical procedures, whilst reaffirming of her identity and comfort in her identity as an out and proud trans woman, created unnecessary doubts in her thoughts regarding the soulmate system, as she herself, whilst surrounded by an amazing support system, had never personally met another transgender person who had experienced these feelings leading up to meeting their destined partner, outside of a handful of Hollywood swoon-stories. Growing up as a girl, born into and stuck in the wrong body, with a lack of trans representation, proved to be much more harmful to her than she could have known it would be in the long run, scared that she would be rejected, and cast out, or that maybe the universe didn’t make her a perfect partner.
“Mik, baby,” Rose shook her head in disapproval, sad for the worries she hadn’t known her friend possessed. “Someone out there is going to fall head over heels for every part of you, not the you that was trapped in the wrong body, this you, who’s the most strong, courageous, crazy talented human I’ve met in 22 years of being on this planet. I promise, your person is going to love you for you, and your soulmate would never judge you for something like that.”

On The Ground (Rosénali) - Moonshot
A/N: So… Guess who is back after a year of not writing fics? Yours truly! What can I say? Rosénali is that powerful of a ship. As always, I hope eveyone enjoys this fic. Feel free to let me know what you think… Who knows, there might be a follow up to this little fluff in the future! Little side note: this is a lesbian au where most of the s13/s12 girls appearing are cis-female, however Mik is still a trans man in the fic.
Summary: The diner girl!Denali x street singer!Rosé AU based on Blackpink’s Rosé’s solo music that nobody asked for!
ao3 link https://archiveofourown.org/works/30267687
Denali stared at the round clock above the entrance of the diner.
4:57 PM.
Three more minutes until her shift was over.
Three more minutes until the girl who had been a fixed character in her dreams would come from around the corner, set up her guitar, greet the passersby before starting her set for the evening like she did every Wednesday.
“So, gorge, are you going to ask the champagne girl out today, or are you just going to keep on creepily staring at her from afar?”, her coworker, Kade - or as everyone called him, Mik - appeared next to her with an empty tray.
“Her name is Rosé, not champagne girl!”, Denali rebutted, “and also, for the record, I don’t just… stare. I just happen to like appreciating her set without bothering her! It’s not like she was flirting with me that one time”.
“Did I just hear our Nali denying her crush on that pink-haired singer, again?”, Olivia, who was busy running the cash register, chimed in.
“Girl, I think we should start betting against her and maybe we’ll make more money than what they can pay us here!”, Mik joked as he washed some of the dishes in the sink.
The black-haired girl rolled her eyes, ignoring her two best friends and focusing on the performer’s much-anticipated arrival.
Denali didn’t believe in love at first sight but after the first time Rosé and her guitar had shown up on the other side of the road from Tamisha’s Diner, she couldn’t think about anything else.
There was just something about the other girl that had the Alaskan girl enamored.
The first - and so far only - time she had talked to Rosé was out of necessity as the other girl and who she assumed were her two best friends - the diner girls had dubbed them ‘Pastel Powerpuff girls’ - had decided to dine in just as Denali’s shift at the register had started.
“Hi! Did you enjoy our diner?”, the skater had put on her best smile, not quite able to meet the gaze of the taller girl as she typed out the receipt.
“Oh, sure, the skating gig is cute, the food’s great, and the service… isn’t too bad either,” Denali could see from the corner of her eye the smirk on the pink-haired girl.
“Rosie! Quit flirting with every cute girl that breathes and hurry up or Jan and I are leaving you here, the Uber is going to be here in 2 minutes!”, the blue-haired girl went on with the other girl in the friend group while ‘Rosie’ rolled her eyes at them.
“Sorry about Lagoona, she has the tact of an elephant on rollerskates,” the taller girl joked.
“O-Oh, no problem. So, your total is 20,04$, will you be paying in cash or card? Also, are you splitting the bill?”
“Since dumb and dumber over there already left, I’ll just pay everything with my card,” she replied taking out her purse and taking out her credit card, “here you go, angel”.
Denali tried her best not to blush at the sudden pet name, maintaining her on-the-clock persona as she brought out the card reader. She quickly finished up the operation and handed the pink-haired girl her card back with the receipt, “I just need a quick signature here and you’re free to go to your friends”.
‘Rosie’ scribbled down her signature - she learned her actual name was Rosé, classy yet slightly worrying - and left a tip for her.
A 10$ tip for her.
“Gorge, she left you a 10$ tip, she was basically asking for your hand in marriage”, Mik reminded her, his eyes darting around the half-empty diner.
He nodded his head to his left where Denali saw another one of her co-workers sharing a milkshake with her girlfriend, giggling like teenagers, “I’m just saying. If Utica managed to end up dating that self-proclaimed ebony enchantress over there, you got a chance with wine girl”, he ended with his trademark L.A vocal fry.
Denali knew Mik had a point, but as she was about to reply, she heard the familiar sound of a guitar starting a new song. Her eyes glanced back at the clock.
5:14 PM
Damn, she had missed the beginning of the set.
The Alaskan girl didn’t lose any more time as she clocked out, skates still on her feet as she zoomed out of the diner.
“Aaaaand she’s gone!”, Olivia commented, turning her head to Mik, “Do you think this time is the good one?”
“Well, if she doesn’t finally go after her, I might as well go after her myself!”
Denali reached the usual crowd that had already formed around Rosé, trying her best to blend in and not be seen by the singer while still getting a good view of the set.
“Well, aren’t you guys a lovely crowd!”, the pink-haired singer smiled as she got ready for the next song, “I’ve got one last song for today and this is going to be the first time I’ll be performing it, so, don’t hate it too much!”, she chuckled as she checked her guitar before turning her head back to the mic stand, “This is On The Ground, I’m Rosé and I hope you’ve enjoyed the set! Feel free to drop your tips in the guitar case!”
Denali couldn’t take her eyes off Rosé when she heard the guitar’s first chord paired with the honey-like vocals.
My life’s been magic seems fantastic
I used to have a hole
in the wall with a mattress
It’s funny when you want it
Suddenly you have it
You find out that your gold’s just plastic
The black-haired girl quickly pulled out her phone, opened her voice memo app, and hit record. She wanted to treasure the magic Rosé’s voice brought.
What she failed to notice while she was so into the song was a pair of hazel eyes settling on her as the song reached its climax.
A couple of days later, Denali had just finished with her teaching job at the local ice rink when she spotted Olivia on the railings.
“The suspicious lack of a certain pink-haired girl makes me think that you still haven’t asked her out” she heard the younger girl say as she skated her way to her.
“You’ll never let it go, won’t you, Liv?”
“Not when I see that you like her and, from what I’ve seen, she is at least interested in you. Mik tried to ask her out yesterday after your shift was over,” the other girl replied.
Denali furrowed her brows, “Wait, he was serious about asking her out? I thought he was just joking!”
“If you don’t act on your cute pink crush, you can’t expect everyone else to stop for you,” Olivia reasoned, “if it’s of any help, Mik did say that, and I quote ‘she didn’t want a piece of this fine ass’”, she finished, air quoting their co-worker.
“To be honest, the dude’s barely got an ass compared to me,” Denali muttered, but her best friend managed to catch it.
“Well, as Symone said, you do have a fat ass,” Olivia commented, causing both of them to laugh out loud.
She continued, “Point still stands though, you gotta do something or you might just end up regretting not doing anything about it”.
The dark-haired girl sighed, “I know, I’m just… scared to get hurt because she seems so cool and unreachable, and I’m just so… me?”, she confessed, resting her arms on the rails.
“Give it a chance, Nali,” Olivia replied, laying her hand on the skater’s arm and giving it a gentle squeeze, “And just in case, if she fucks you over, we’ll just unleash Kandy on her!”, she added, making Denali chuckle.
“Girl, if she knew you said that…”
“She would do absolutely nothing because she’s too busy chasing after that Joey guy”, she didn’t miss a beat with her reply, giving her a knowing look, “Almost forgot to ask, are you coming later to the club with the others?”
Denali shook her head, “No, sorry. I don’t feel like clubbing today, I’ll just skate a bit more and then go home to watch some Netflix”.
Olivia shrugged her shoulders, “You do you, girl. But think about what I said, okay?”
She gave her best friend a small smile, “Thanks, Liv. See you at work?”
The younger girl nodded and left Denali to her thought as she exited the room. The black-haired skater turned her head back to the rink, noticing that only a few people were left on the ice.
She took a deep breath, putting her earbuds back in and looking through her phone to decide on what song to use for her last routine of the day. Her eyes fell on the voice memo app, immediately reminding herself of the recording she had taken just a few days prior. She hadn’t even listened to it since she had recorded it.
It wasn’t a clean recording, she could hear the sounds of the city and the people around her, but she closed her eyes and focused on Rosé’s voice, letting it guide her.
The music fully took her over as she performed her usual stunts.
I’m way up in the clouds
And they say I’ve made it now
But I figured it out
Everything I need is on the ground
She found herself in the center of the rink, the bridge of the song was blasting in her ears. She smiled to herself as she started to spin, gradually picking up speed while Rosé’s high notes were all she could focus on.
Just drove by your house
So far from you now
But I figured it out
Everything I need is on the
Everything I need is on the ground
The recording stopped abruptly, she remembered how she had to bolt away, almost missing her bus home.
Denali could hear her heavy breathing, suddenly aware again that she wasn’t alone. But she had made up her mind.
She was going to talk to Rosé the following Wednesday.
That Wednesday the diner was busier than usual, giving Denali barely a moment to think, let alone realize she was missing Rosé’s set outside.
She glanced at the clock.
5:26 PM
Shit.
She turned her head and looked outside the diner’s big windows and saw that the pink-haired girl was starting to gather her things.
“Miss Iman just left, go to her! We’ll cover for you and we are not letting you get back in unless you got a date!”, Olivia said quietly enough for just her to hear.
Denali couldn’t help the grin spreading across her face. She grabbed some of the tips that she had made before she bolted outside, faintly hearing the cheering of her friends.
As she reached Rosé on the other side of the road, the singer’s back was facing her, she didn’t seem to have noticed Denali yet.
The black-haired girl took a deep breath, just like she had done on the ice rink, and let the tips fall into the still open guitar case.
The noise of falling change was what made Rosé turn around, a surprised look on her face as she registered Denali’s face.
“Denali?”
Gosh, she could hear the other girl say her name all day.
Wait.
“How do you know my name?”, Denali asked slightly confused.
Rosé didn’t reply but simply pointed at the waitress’s chest.
Oh, right. The nameplate on her uniform.
“That and also I tend to remember a pretty face when I see one,” she added, now her attention fully on the shorter girl.
“Oh, yeah, right”, she fidgeted awkwardly, not knowing where to look, “Uhm, I just wanted to say that you have a really beautiful voice. You can consider me your first fan when you make it big”.
Rosé smiled at her and Denali couldn’t help but notice how beautiful of a smile she had.
The singer turned back to her stuff, shuffling things around and leaving the brunette to her thoughts. She wanted to ask the taller girl out but felt all her courage leave her body.
Way to go, Nali.
“Well, Uhm, I think I should-”, she started but she was stopped by the pink-haired girl, who had finished packing everything up.
“Here, this is for you”.
It was a jewel case cd, a picture of Rosé in a very 80s inspired attire on the cover with pink marker writing across the front.
‘To Denali
My first (and hopefully not last) fan
     Rosé xo’
It was signed with a small rose doodle next to Rosé’s name and, much to Denali’s surprise, a phone number along with the phrase ‘put it to good use’.
She looked up to find the other girl staring at her, her guitar case strapped on her back. She gave her a wink and started walking towards the subway.
Denali stood there for what felt like forever as she watched Rosé disappear in between the crowd of people roaming the streets.
She looked back down at the cd, committing the number to memory. She turned around to look at the back, her eyes were drawn to the tracklist.
She smiled when she saw On The Ground.
Finally, she didn’t have to listen to a shitty phone recording to enjoy it.
“Wait, what? You had recorded it all secretly and shady, mama?”
Rosé’s laugh filled the room as Denali tried to hide her face on the other girl’s bare chest.
“You’re an ass! I just wanted to use it for one of my skating routines”, she muttered, causing her girlfriend to laugh even harder.
“I find it cute that I’m not even famous and my music has already been pirated!” she commented, “I’m already halfway there to stardom, baby girl,” she added, kissing the top of Denali’s head.
The shorter girl groaned as she hid the increasing blush on her cheeks, rolling her body so that she was on top of the pink-haired girl.
“Well, miss Rosé, is it pirating if it was for personal pleasure only?”, Denali teased, running her hands upwards on the naked skin, slowly lowering herself until her face was inches away from her girlfriend’s.
She felt Rosé’s hands take a firm hold of her behind, “Oh angel, I’ll show you personal pleasure,” the singer replied, eliminating the little space left between their lips as Denali brought her hands to cup the older girl’s face.
Rethinking about those lyrics Rosé had written months prior, Denali knew she was right, she did have everything she needed on the ground.
It was to be right there with Rosé.

Please may I request 18/2/14 with Denali x Joey? 😍
ok i love love love this pairing and they have a lot of potential so here you go, prissy denali and hot nerd web developer joey.
18. celebrity!au 2. enemies to lovers 14. “okay, maybe i’m crazy but did i just hear you say that out loud?”
“Could you please wait, are you capable of that?” Joey took a deep breath in, trying her best not to snap at a client that could net her a lot of money. The girl had an ego, though she was used to that. But the pushiness was something else entirely. Her clients tended to just let her get on with the work, updating them regularly.
Denali wasn't a normal client, she hadn’t worked with someone who could be considered a celebrity before. The ice skater was successful, but the level of confidence was too much. It was good to think highly of yourself but it wasn’t just that. The brunette was always a little off, always ready to poke at Joey with any opportunity. She also had very little patience, having asked to see the progress in person rather than over email as any sane person would.
It led her to cut in, asking questions before Joey had time to explain her progress and what else was needed or ask for any input. It took a lot of self-control not to pack her stuff and quit the job right there but the money was better than anything she’d seen. Begrudgingly they settled into not getting along but needing something from each other and trying to cooperate.
“Sorry, I just wanted to see, finish what you were saying.” Denali glanced away, realising her attitude got the better of her once again. She didn’t mean to push Joey around so much but it just happened. She wasn’t good around people she found attractive, and it showed when she’d make snide remarks or pester the purple-haired woman.
Joey was surprised by the apology but accepted it with a softer look, going back to her explanation about the mechanics and design of the website. It was something Denali didn’t quite understand but she knew it looked nice and functioned well. It was what she was looking for, though the web designer insisted it was still in development and needed a lot more work.
Denali insisted it looked good, seeming a lot more calm and kind than just a few minutes ago when she’d been cutting into the explanation asking too many questions far too quickly. Joey was bewildered by the sudden change in behaviour, looking the brunette up and down quizzically. Her suspicious glance did get a rise out of Denali but it wasn’t quite what she expected.
“Alright! I’m sorry I've been so rude. You don’t have to keep looking at me like that! I know it’s weird but I’m trying to be nice. I’m not good around hot people!” Denali huffed, looking aggravated before her brain processed what she’d let slip. That sent her reeling, head burrowed into her hands, her face steaming in embarrassment.
“Okay, maybe I’m crazy but did I just hear you say that out loud? You’ve been rude to me this whole time because you think I’m hot?” It was ridiculous but it started to make sense. Denali had a lot of lesbian energy but Joey didn’t think it was her place to probe it. She was cute but the attitude was a quick turn-off. Though something about the way she went from self-assured to a flustered mess was adorable.
That was when an inner panic set itself into Denali. She couldn’t begin to think about how much she had screwed up. Top of the list of things not to do in a professional setting was confess you found the person you commissioned ridiculously attractive. Panic rose through her as neither of them said anything, though Joey moved closer to the anxious brunette.
“Hey, Denali? You might be a bit prissy and cocky but you’re cute. Stop panicking, it’s fine.”
Denali perked up slightly, looking at joey with a mix of concern and hopefulness in her eyes. She couldn't speak, scared she’d say more to dig herself into a deeper hole. The way Joey was so casual about it helped comfort her, it was easing her mind to know it wasn’t a huge deal. Realising the attraction was mutual was a whole other can of worms she didn’t have the energy to open but she didn't have to. Joey leaned over to her, their faces a few inches apart.
Denali felt her heart almost jump out of her chest as Joey lifted her chin to make their faces level. Her eyes flickered from her lips to her eyes, searching for unspoken permission that the brunette gave without hesitation, closing the gap between them in a quick move. It was short but left Denali more flustered than before. Joey bounced back to her laptop with a grin, amused at the state she’d left the younger girl in.
“Once I finish this website, maybe you could tip me with another kiss.” The wink Joey sent with her words left Denali speechless. This was going to be a long day, though maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing.

nothing compares to what we have (joey x denali)
the fact i wrote this in 2 days is a lot compared to my normal work schedule but if this keeps up we’re vibing, allow me to present joenali to the world, i hope someone likes it. honestly this pairing has been on my mind for a while bc the aesthetic of the ice skater and the punk is incredible and it needed to exist in some form.
thanks to emerald for betaing, their comments amused me enough to finish this today

Denali felt herself floating on the brink of consciousness, though she wanted to stay up and wait for her girlfriend to come home. Her body thought otherwise, any day full of skating was sure to tire her but today was more. Between lessons, she’d felt energised enough to skate alone. It was nice to be alone on the ice, letting herself flow without any thoughts. Though she got carried away, too distracted to keep an eye on the time and managed to stay there for well over an hour. Combined with a busy day, too many kids to keep track of in classes, she’d felt dead on her feet by the end of it.
But she wanted to wait up, to greet Joey at the door, both of them exhausted from the day but finding solace in the warmth of each other's arms. She just wanted to curl up in her arms, head laid in her girlfriend's chest as she fell into a euphoric daze. Maybe it was her mind playing tricks on her, but the longer Denali laid there the more she felt warmth envelop her. It wasn’t Joey but it was enough to get her to finally cross over into unconsciousness, not to awaken for at least a few hours.
Her naps were infamous for being long, she was a deep sleeper by nature after having grown up in the wilderness of Alaska, animals could make a lot of noise and it paid off to be able to sleep through it all. Though it backfired when she had to get up for work, rarely able to rise with a few alarms. It amused Joey to no end how she’d always manage to wake up confused and likely running late, tiredly stumbling to get some coffee and become more alert. It was those soft moments that they both treasured. Both untouched by the world, alone together in a dozy silence.
Joey herself had a similarly busy day, the amount of telling people how to open the internet would drive anyone insane. Nevertheless, their reaction when their computer technician was a butch lesbian with bright purple hair kept her amused throughout the laborious times. Sometimes she would have something a bit more exciting than someone getting a virus through a dodgy website or not understanding the basics of a computer but they were few and far between. She’d tried to get home early, however, a panicked woman on the phone had pulled at her heart enough to stay longer and help one more person. Her client was pacing back and forth, face lighting up when she came to help. Somehow a whole office had managed to get infected with an email virus. How this continued to happen in the day of social media and mass technological awareness she would never know, but it wasn’t time for that.
It hadn’t taken as long as she thought, though a glance outside told her it was late enough to go home. Possibly picking up food on her way, it was past dinner time and Denali probably fell asleep, she hadn’t answered her phone in over an hour. It was telling, considering she was often glued to the thing in her free time.
Joey’s suspicions were confirmed as she crept through the door, pizza in hand, noticing an asleep Denali curled into their sofa. She didn’t seem close to waking up, softly snoring with her face half-burrowed in one of the cushions. It was adorable though, her blonde hair had fallen from its usual braid, covering her face. The way she slept, her body sprawled out across the sofa. One arm wrapped around the cushion she rested on, the other hanging by the edge somehow not touching the floor. Her legs were in a similar position, one cocked over the arm with the other staying decently straight. She looked like she’d come in, collapsed into the first thing she saw, and fallen asleep then and there. That was highly likely.
As much as watching Denali sleep was nice, seeing her relax into an unflattering position was rare. She was always so poised, seeing her like that would never stop being adorable. Joey still held the pizza in her hand, setting it down to a soft grunt from her girlfriend.
“Pizza?” Denali questioned in a sleepy grumble, head not leaving her comfortable position.
“Pizza. Get up before it gets cold, or I’ll eat it all” Joey grinned, poking Denali in the stomach to alert her. The smaller girl jolted up with a confused sound, turning to joey with a tired smile.
She leaned over, pressing her lips to her cheek, one hand fluffing up the short purple hair, the other snaked around her waist before either girl could say anything. Denali mumbled out a soft greeting before burrowing her head into Joey’s shoulder. Her stomach never quite passed the butterflies phase, filling her with warmth as the strong arms of her girlfriend embraced her. That was it, her favourite feeling, the place she was always safe.
“Nali, the pizza is gonna get cold if you fall asleep again.” Joey let out a light chuckle that made her girlfriend’s heart squeeze. Denali begrudgingly sat up, taking a slice out of the ajar box and flopping back into Joey’s embrace.
“Thanks, Joe, love ya.” Denali grinned, her face lighting up at the pizza in her hands. Joey could only shake her head as the food quickly took her attention, though she would pout if she dared move her arms from the hug. They formed a routine, Denali grabbed a slice for each of them. Joey wasn’t allowed to move, she was appointed the big spoon and had to stay with it unless she wanted to be the subject of unstoppable puppy eyes and whines from her beloved girlfriend.
They sat in a comfortable silence, both tired from the day but enjoying each other's company. It didn’t take long for the tv to be put on though neither girl paid much attention to it. Instead focusing on how nice it felt to cuddle together after a long day, no words needing to be said, only physical affection.
Joey’s eyes started to droop after a while. Being with Denali made her feel warm and fuzzy inside, combined with eating a lot of pizza she was starting to fall asleep. That was until the blonde shook her awake, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek as she let out a confused, sleepy noise.
She didn’t say much, mumbling something about how they were both tired and needed to go to bed before tugging Joey by her arm into their bedroom to get ready for bed. Once all was done, Joey was the first one out. She always fell asleep quickly, it was something Denali would always envy. Though she never struggled too badly it was still not as simple as closing her eyes unless she was tired from a long day.
Still, Joey’s soft breaths were enough to lull her to sleep quickly enough. They cuddled together once more, Denali finding her way to her favourite spot with her head nestled on Joey’s chest. It was warm and cosy and made her realise how much she loved the little things. The small affections that they would share when words were too much for both of them. They still found ways to show their love. If this was what the rest of her life would be like, she couldn’t wait to spend it with Joey.

The thing is, right, I feel kinda odd shipping Kerri and Willow because is Kerri's sexual orientation public knowledge? Willow's fruity for sure, but I don't wanna assume her sexuality.
I don’t know her sexuality either, but I think people shipping them are doing it in a WLW au way rather than canon compliant way, if that makes sense??
I’m not shipping any of the s14 girls yet cause I’m still so attached to s13 & s12 and also it’s only been one episode… like, I know we’ve seen them interact on social media and the press week videos but it’s still too soon for ships, for me personally. I remember at the start of s13 before it aired people thought Denali x Joey Jay would be a ship based off tweets and that didn’t turn out to be one that took off lmao
