J&W Inspired Home KITCHEN RENO

I wanted to show you a kitchen renovation we are currently working on. It's in a small one bedroom condo in Port Moody. The kitchen was original 1970's and had to be completely remodelled. In the 70's homes were mostly a series of rooms with small entrance ways. Today we all appreciate an open concept. THIS DOORWAY HAD TO GO!

The tile floor is in good shape and can be left in place. We will be installing white and glass cabinets and a black countertop for a more contemporary look.

THE DEMOLITIAN BEGINS! We will take the kitchen down to the studs and start fresh. The electrical boxes were in awkward places and had to be moved. This kitchen only had one accessible plug so we added another to make it a more workable kitchen.

At Ikea you can choose your cabinets and appliances and put the whole idea into a program that shows you what your kitchen will look like and cost when you're done.

We decided to open the entrance to the kitchen to make the room feel larger. 

Apparently...the entrance way wasn't large enough! We decided to open it up to the ceiling. We're loving the way it's looking! More photos to come...
