Good evening! A few weeks ago, I finished Keep Me Close by @rmvirtues, my August buddy read with Brandi from @queerlyreading and let me tell you! Holy crap this was so good! Virtues has done it once again and pretty firmly solidified himself as an auto-buy author in my books. I’ve now read all of his current backlist and I am so excited for more! (Slight side note: Virtues puts a content warning at the beginning of each of his books and I appreciate it sooo much!) I’m getting off track, though, so let me tell you about Keep Me Close. This is the second book in the Gods of Hunger series, centering around Aphrodite and Hephaestus not long after the events of the first book (Drag Me Up) as an attempt is made on Aphrodite’s life. Hephaestus takes up the position of Aphrodite’s bodyguard and things play out from there!
