Wally and Y/N are the only two currently trapped in the Entity's realm!

Fun Facts About DBD (Dead by Daylight) AU Wally:

He was captured by the entity and is one of the many made to kill to feed the entity unwillingly

He obeys the entity in hopes of one day returning home/to his friends

The further the match goes on the more his hair starts to fall down out of his pompadour

Whenever he's seen crying black ink its majority of the time him mourning what he's lost and/or missing his friends/Home

Sometimes when he's alone he mutters to himself either about his friends, echoing convos he used to have w/ them, or is talkin to 'them' despite no one bein there

He hums Beautiful Dreamer to himself, almost like a comfort to distract himself from the reality of things

His hums work a lot like the Huntress

His eyes are always wide open, rarely lidded/relaxed

The entity absorbed itself partially into Wally's body and only bursts out in the back to make the claws to travel

The claws Wally can mostly control, the tendrils/tentacles is entirely the entity and he has absolute no control over them

The claws are entirely inspired by the same ones that covers gens and forms on hooks so think of them as relatively the same

Whenever Wally resists the Entity he feels intense pain throughout his whole body bc of the entity

Wally has only most control in the claws bc if he stays still/refuse to chase the Entity will take control and force Wally to go after survivors again; In a way the Entity is like a puppeteer if Wally disobeys, it takes control of his movements until he does what it wants again

Wally isn't willingly killing anyone, he does so because of the entity and the empty promise that obeying means he'll return home one day

Wally disassociates often bc of having to kill and sometimes hallucinates audio and visually

There's no true way for Wally to see/reunite with his friends unless he finally escapes the entity or the entity kidnaps them to become a survivor

The others don't know where Wally has gone, Home is the most distressed about this with Barnaby being a close second

The AU works with the theory/concept that WH exists in like a pocket universe where all the puppets are actually alive however Wally is the only one with a puppet in the real world/human world that he can actually control and such + is the only one aware of the real world outside of Home who only knows because Wally confided to him about it

Tour de France Femmes - Stage 5

After four stages and three days, the Tour de France Femmes finally crossed into France, where it would finish in Amneville. This was a lumpy stage with five categorized climbs, and many teams had breakaway ambitions. The strongest of the breakaway attempts was a trio of strong riders up the road in the latter half of the race. Fem van Empel (Visma Lease-a-Bike), Loes Adegeest (FDJ-Suez), and Julie Van de Wilde (AG Insurance-Soudal) worked together well and stayed away for a long time, with van Empel scooping up the bonus seconds near the end. The biggest news from this portion was how much Gaia Realini (Lidl-Trek) appeared to be struggling at the back on the short climbs, not a good sign for her GC prospects before we even got to the mountains.

The story of this stage, however, was not one of the breakaway versus the peloton, but of the cruelty of this sport. In an unassuming curve 6km from the finish, a relatively high-speed crash in the main bunch took down some of the top riders, including yellow jersey wearer Demi Vollering (SD Worx-Protime), Ruby Roseman-Gannon (Liv-AlUla-Jayco), polka-dot jersey Puck Piertese (Fenix-Deceuninck), and Pfeiffer Georgi (dsm-firmenich-postNL). It was a bad crash, with some riders taking a long time to get up and others—including Georgi—not getting up at all, abandoning the race. The images of the crash were not pretty, and we will not reproduced them here.

Vollering was up relatively quickly, but didn't get back on the bike for a while, as she looked to be in pain and had visible tears in her shorts showing road rash on her hip. With the crash outside the 5km mark, all Vollering could do was remount and try to chase back on. We don't even think she got a bike change, and she didn't have any teammates to help her for quite a while, until she reached Mischa Bredewold who could help pull her on the flats.

Up ahead, the parts of the peloton that had survived the crash soon caught the breakaway, and Kristen Faulkner (EF-Oatly-Cannondale) sparked the winning move off the front. Only Blanka Vas (SD Worx-Protime), Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM), and Liane Lippert (Movistar) could join. As they came into the sprint, Lippert attacked from behind, but Niewiadoma and Vas jumped quickly on her wheel and came past her, with Vas the faster of the two. Vas' reaction shows her mixed emotions on the day for Team SD Worx-Protime.

Behind, it was a race against the clock, as Demi Vollering fought to limit her time losses. She was moving quickly, but was in visible pain at the line and after the stage, though she did her cooldown as usual on the stationary bike.

Although Kasia Niewiadoma didn't win the sprint for the stage, she moved into the lead on GC after her strong performance yesterday and today, and will wear yellow tomorrow. We can't feel bad about Niewiadoma in yellow, she certainly deserves it, but even she would probably admit this isn't how she would prefer to take it.

We're a little disheartened with this crash, and hope the riders will recover. Like we said above, this is a cruel sport sometimes, and it's very off-putting. Not everyone was badly hurt—Puck Pieterse was walking around with seemingly boundless energy, throwing flowers to the crowd, despite skinning her chin, hands, and knees. But the overhead images of Pfeiffer Georgi will stay with us for a while, and only time will tell how well Vollering will be able to recover before tomorrow's increasingly mountainous course.

Ghost (1990)

Ghost has a scene showing a few subway trains passing at high speeds, creating a moderate strobe effect. One early scene has mild spinning-style emergency vehicle lights. A bright light that shines through most of the final scene has a mild but constant flicker to it.

There are a few moments where the camera shakes to enhance the drama of the moment. One scene shows some peril at extreme heights.

Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Grief is explored thoroughly in this film, as is the exploitation of grieving people for money. Some moments depicting spirits possessing people may be upsetting for some religious viewers.

A Year in (Book) Review: My 2024 Reading Journey 📚

#57 - Lightlark by Alex Aster

Fantasy / Romance / Lightlark #1 / 432 pages / published in 2022 / Finished Jul. 12

One Sentence Review: I did enjoy the book (even if it was a bit too spicy for my poor demi tastes at certain points), but I felt like the world and setup were a tad bit contrived at times, and the Twilight-esque love triangle had one potential beau without much character depth (I'm looking at you, Oro), but I'm hoping maybe we'll see more character development in the next books.

A Few More Thoughts (Spoilers):

It was definitely a page turner. Although at times it was too steamy for my demi sensibilities, I found myself invested not just in the plot but also the romance, especially with the on, the nose named Grim.

I thought it was going to be fairly predictable, so I was shocked at Celeste's betrayal. The author did a great job of sowing distrust in other characters. I was also shocked to find out that she and Grim were already a thing.

I felt like Oro, her other love interest, was a bit dull, though.

I love Isla's strength and determination, despite the fact that she has no powers. It makes her victories all the more sweet and her eventual powerful awakening all the more satisfying, even if her romantic waffling is annoying. Her story teaches grit and determination in the face of insurmountable odds.
