My Thoughts on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Trailer

ITS HERE. AFTER NUMEROUS RUMOURED RELEASE DATES, THE TRAILER IS FINALLY HERE. GUYS I DREAMT THIS TRAILER LIKE 4 TIMES THESE PAST 6 MONTHS I WAS GOING INSANE. SPOILERS FOR THE TRAILER BELOW!!

THE DETAIL?! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I JUST KNOW THE SHADOW ESCAPE SCENE IS GOING TO BE FIRE.

Ok so I love how compared to Sonic's soft-looking quills which looks more like fur, Shadow's quills look more spiky and rough. It's so clear that they are parallels that even their designs beautifully contrast.

"Shadow's story began a lot like yours Sonic. But where you found family and friends, Shadow found only pain and loss"

This gives me hope that they will actually adapt Project Shadow in its truest form. Especially seeing the G.U.N agents point their guns at Shadow and Gerald Robotnik who appear to be grieving. While I don't expect them to show Maria's death, I hope they at least imply it. (I feel bad for the actress but a lot of fans will cheer for her character's death because it shows that the writers care about following the source material lol)

Okay so one thing that is different is that instead of Sonic being framed and hunted by the government, he is instead asked for assistance to track down Shadow. Makes sense for their universe given the first two movies. However, I do hope Team Heroes end up betraying the authorities and let Shadow escape.

AND THE TELEPORTATION? I LOVE IT! Looks like they won't portray it as "Chaos Control" but it's fine I guess!

THAT RUNNING ANIMATION ACTUALLY LOOKS MORE MENACING THAN THE GAMES WHAT THE HECK?! THAT'S SO WELL DONE!

THE FIGHTS DEFINITELY IMPROVED BASED ON THE FEW SCENES WE GOT!

Okay so this is giving me hope that they won't make Team Sonic work with the authorities. Looking at their faces, it gives me the impression that they took away their dad (possibly he is the one being framed?)

Well Jim Carrey did ask for the fat suit! Looks like he's going full Eggman now!

Bro they're doing this on purpose at this point. Man I love Agent Stone so much.

OKAY SO FIRST OF ALL GUYS, GOD THIS TRAILER WAS LIKE 5% OF WHAT I SAW IN MY DREAMS SO IM HAPPY.

Jokes aside, perfect. I love this trailer so much and it was worth the hype. I'm so excited to watch this movie despite the few minor events that they changed in order to properly incorporate this story into the movie universe.

I doubt Amy or Rouge will appear but that's fine. Maybe for a post-credit scene I think.

Shadow is definitely the star of the show here. The detail on his quills, his voice, and his behaviour is all so good. I'm sure they'll give Shadow's character justice. I'm assuming Project Shadow will be the prologue in the movie before the title card drops but thats just me predicting stuff!

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4

HELLO I AM BACK!!! THIS EPISODE WILL FINALLY END THE TRUSTWORTHY ROOM TEST! I'll admit so far I have not been appreciating the changes or cut content, in addition, the animation has been lacklustre. But I still look forward to ToG content every week!

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 6/10

Summary: They...they skipped some very important scenes. Overall the pacing was not good. At least this arc is over.

Oh man. Love vs Viole wasn't the best and I feel like a lot was cut that really made the fight stood out. But it's whatever.

Oh, they changed this scene too. Ehhh I can see why given the source material but this made Yihwa look very incompetent. Gives off the wrong impression to anime-onlies in my opinion.

Oh no...

I love how compared to Rachel's betrayal. Wangnan's one was heartbreaking for BOTH parties. Nia genuinely didn't want to do this but he just wanted to protect the woman who took him in. Just like Wangnan, Nia NEEDS to climb the Tower no matter what. And sadly, in the Tower, you never know who you have to step on in order to rise to the top, that's the cruel culture within it. I believe the anime did a good job in showing the genuine heartbreak and regret Nia has in betraying Wangnan, but also showing that he would do it again if it meant protecting the lady that helped him.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE WANGNAN. HE IS JUST GENUINELY A GOOD PERSON LIKE BAM. HE UNDERSTANDS NIA AND WHY HE DID WHAT HE DID. It's sad that Wangnan got betrayed but the fact that Nia did it to protect someone he cared about, there's no way Wangnan would be upset about it.

They nailed the tone of this scene. While they didn't show us his death on screen, I did appreciate the way they clearly conveyed what happened to him and Wangnan's anger.

I ALWAYS LOVED THIS QUOTE FROM HORYANG. AND I LOVED HOW VIOLE WAS SEEKED OUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY BY WANGNAN. Viole is their ultimate evil to them as he is FUG Slayer Candidate. Lurker is a POS and needs to be punished. A clear difference between the two. Wangnan knows he is not strong enough to do it and as usual, he needs others to help him, but that does not make him weak.

They should've added in Love's genuine disbelief over Viole copying moves. Because he did say it took him a long time to come up with and master his abilities, yet Viole copied them in one fight. It could've showed how much of a big deal this was.

Uhhh I think they glossed over how Wangnan got that remote, I swear it was way cooler in the WEBTOON.

I always loved this quote from Wangnan. As for the whole scene, it felt...rushed...the pacing felt off

If this was meant to show a POV of Horyang rushing....it was slow man... If anything, it felt awkward.

Damn that was good animation. I think they love animating Horyang. Fair enough. My boy deserves some love. ALSO KEVIN PENKIN GO OFF KING I LOVE THIS OST.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THIS SCENE LOOKS SO GOOFY IN THE ANIME I LOVE IT.

And our first glimpse over Prince genuinely having what it takes to survive in the Tower and not relying on his privileges.

OH THAT ANIMATION FOR HIS RIGHT ARM LOOKS SO GOOD.

ANDDDD HORYANG GAINED A FANBOY LETS GOOOOO. Love the soundtrack here too!

I love this scene so much because it shows how complicated people are when it comes to climbing the Tower. The same people that betrayed you for their own goals, have something they want to protect. On the other hand, the "scumbags" in the Tower, like Lurker, were also victims once. I don't feel sympathy for Lurker, but I understand how he ended up like this. His mindset is also very interesting. Don't hate or resent anyone. Just climb.

It's annoying how people find this scene stupid. "WHY DID WANGNAN FORGIVE HIM?! HE IS SO DUMB"

Wangnan forgiving Lurker is a middle finger to Lurker's whole philosophy. He will change the Tower's culture, and he will do so with friends. If theres no need to resent or hate anyone, whats stopping you from from caring about people and forgiving them too? There's no way Wangnan is legit forgiving Lurker, it's moreso to show him, "I am different from you." Which Lurker would hate even more. Contrary to popular belief, needlessly getting revenge won't fill any hole in your heart. It's a shame that Viole is getting the "sigma MC will get revenge" treatment from the fandom right now...

And there it is! I always loved his ideology! BUT ALSO THEY DIDNT EVEN EXPLAIN HOW THE TEAM WON. HELLO THTS LIKE KEY INFORMATION???

WHY DID THEY NOT GIVE HIM HIS SCOUT UNIFORM HELLOOOOOOO

Alright...I'll be honest here. Did NOT like the changes in this test. I was okay with them removing the small scenes of sweet and sour which were mostly comedic. But some changes made no sense, like...why? Anyway, I hope after this, the pacing and animation gets better. Time will tell!

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7

BAM VS EMILY (Urek lol) LETS GOOOOOO

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 7/10

Summary: Ohhh boy I had to read the chapters againt to make sure they weren't pulling my leg but man...I have mixed feelings. First half was ehhh okay? Second half I liked!

He's such a fanboy, so adorable!

And with that, we can see why he's an Irregular lol. His ideal was honestly the most unique out of anyone's when it comes to the tower. Climb to the top? NAH I WANNA GET OUT OF HERE.

AND THAT'S MY FAVOURITE VIOLE QUOTE!

Okay so here's my take. I read the webtoon again and saw that they really did follow it as much as possible, Viole and Urek barely fought. But I still feel like they could have gotten away with animating an actual fight? Heck, add more dynamic camera movements like in episode 1?! Sigh. (I did see a bit more shaking and impact in this fight though so it isn't that bad)

A very important scene! While people can be annoyed over Minseng getting in the way of the fight. This shows that while Viole cares a lot about passing the tests for the sake of his friends, he will not disregard the safety of his CURRENT team and will even risk his own life to protect them. I love Bam so much.

Now I try not to nitpick over slight dialogue changes or cut content but...sigh.......PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THEY CUT OUT THIS OTHER PART OF THE DIALOGUE?! Please tell me he said it in japanese and the subs got it wrong ;-;. It's very important because it shows that Urek isn't as "awful" as a person he portrayed himself to be. He let them live because Viole literally prioritised his teammate during their fight. From that, he saw that not only is Viole pretty strong, but also that he isn't like those Rankers who send people to their deaths. In the Tower, someone as kind as Bam is very rare.

By removing this last piece of dialogue, Urek comes off as cocky (which yea, he can be. But he's also a somewhat good person). Now an arguement can be made that the original dialogue was not that subtle, so they omitted it and let the scene speak for itself. I would agree, but with all the stiff characters and facial expressions, it's hard to tell when they are trying to be 'subtle'. I'm getting a bit off-topic, moving on!

YES THEY'RE PLAYING 'BUBBLE IN THE WINE GLASS'. LETS GOOOO I ALWAYS ASSOCIATED THIS OST WITH UREK!

I always loved the reveal that Urek wasn't actually there to mess around or assert his authority. He was there to help preserve wildlife! I remember my jaw dropping over this reveal because it was all the proof I needed that Urek is actually a pretty good guy!

Haha. Love the casual reveal that he's working with Yuri too lol.

No seriously what the hell is that. I swear I didnt see that in the webtoon.

OKAY JINSUNG'S FACE LOOKS BETTER HERE

THAT WAS NOT IN THE WEBTOON. SIR WHAT IS THAT. WHY ARE THEY ANIMATING THIS. Music went hard tho.

YES. HERE. JINSUNG'S FACE IS PERFECT HERE (for anime standards).

I loved this scene because it shows that after what Viole did. Team Sweet and Sour no longer fears Viole. To them, Viole isn't a FUG slayer candidate, but a fellow teammate. It's a nice way of showing that now, Wagnan will not be the only one who's comfortable around Viole. Everyone will support Viole as a teammate.

It's amazing how one act of kindness can resonate so much in someone. And that kindness wasn't even towards Arkraptor himself, but the girl he lowkey sees as a daughter.

People make fun of Yihwa for not being able to do basic household chores and that Hwaryun was "roasting" her for it. But like Horyang said, this encounter with Urek and the lies of Yihwa's family being exposed is testing Team S&S's resolve. They will face worse as they climb higher (*cries*), if they can't handle what they saw in this episode, they can never climb the Tower. Yihwa was sulking in her room because she didn't want to face reality. But Hwaryun's "insults" were said in a way to motivate someone as proud as her to get up and start doing something about it!

I LOVE HER! Okay but in all seriousness, this is an anime-only scene that I actually like. In the webtoon, she just declared she would cook and we don't know if she actually did it, it was implied that she was about to, but was stopped.

Here? SHE STARTED COOKING RIGHT AWAY. WHO CARES IF THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. THIS ANIME-ONLY SCENE SHOWED THAT SHE ACTUALLY TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO DO SOMETHING NEW AND GROW!

Like I said, anime-only scenes are not bad as long as it enriches the main story! This is a prime example of that! (Apron cute too!)

And I love how they took the time to actually animate this part of the webtoon instead of just taking the easy way out and just adding voiceovers while Wagnan goes out to see Jinsung (like what happened in the webtoon). Also the way all the tension between the guys was cut by Yihwa's silliness?! Love it! I miss Team S&S so much!!!!!!

Haha. Don't know why they made Wagnan give one lollipop instead of three. But to be honest, I genuinely forgot that this was where Jinsung's lollipop obsession started.

AND FINALLY KARAKA IS HERE! OKAY TIME FOR MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON HIS ANIME COUNTERPART!

I'm not too nitpicky about his design because I get that it's very complicated to animate it consistently, so they had to smooth him out. Shame, but hey I get it!

His voice surprised me, I never pictured him with THAT voice. Not a fan for now, but maybe it'll grow on me?

Oof. Even I felt that jab.

WAIT SO UNLESS HORYANG STRETCHED THE FABRIC. DID THEY BUY THE SAME APRON BUT A DIFFERENT SIZE JUST FOR HORYANG?! THAT IS SO CUTE.

This was in the webtoon too but I love Yihwa. She really dresses the part for whatever responsibility she's given lol! She's locked in!

Oh..this shot was beautiful. I like it.

Alright so sadly, Viole vs Urek was not as great as I hoped, even if I was cautiously optimistic. But I'll acknowledge that they followed the events within the chapter almost perfectly. I still think a few extra scenes showing Urek's power would've been better, or at least more camera angles and movements to show his intensity.

I did love the second half of the episode more though! I appreciated the extra scenes! Karaka was revealed and I may need more time to get used to him.

Now I also want to talk about Crunchyroll's treatment of the Tower of God anime. Not a fan. This was the same issue in season 1 but now it's somehow worse? Like come on they literally messed up the subtitles and played the NEXT EPISODE's subtitles instead. They also took 4 years to announce season 2, which led people to believe that it took 4 years to work on this anime, when really, that may not have been the case. I'll avoid making baseless speculations but it's sad to see Tower of God treated this way while manhwa like Solo Levelling get the A+ treatment from them.

Part of me is just happy we got a season 2 to begin with, but I also wish a bit more effort was put in, the first episode of season 2 genuinely gave me hope. But now it feels like the episode was just used so that it can look good in the trailers. Workshop arc will have more fights, I hope the studio has more time and resources by then. (I want to state the fact that I am not claiming that the studio doesn't care about Tower of God. I believe they do care, but lack the time and resources. If they didn't care, episode 1 of season 2 would not have been THAT good!)

Sorry this post took so long, I watched the episode when it first came out (that's why I knew of the Urek = Emily joke). However, I just didn't know what I wanted to say about this episode, did I like it or not? I feel more on the neutral side.

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 6

Finally, FUG is here!! And I believe this is the episode where we meet a certain somebody? :3

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 7/10

Summary: Music and tension was on point! However, Jinsung's face looked a bit wonky?? Maybe that's just me. I think the stiff movements while they talk is actually making the scenes feel more awkward. Either way, I really liked the pacing for this episode and I hope they COOK for the next!

You know as crazy as Yihwa was for flat out insulting Viole in front of FUG (and insulting FUG to their faces), I feel like people often miss the fact that she was angry for the whole team. She genuinely thought Viole betrayed them. While of course, her assumptions come from the fact that she was always suspicious of him to begin with, I still feel like she was just looking out for the team.

And now we are hearing Viole speak more (with emotion at least)!!! I love this older Bam voice!

Haha I love how Miseng always breaks the ice by being herself! Despite her "crybaby" personality, she genuinely helps the team ease up. The way Jinseng gave her more apples makes me ;-;.

Yea...maybe I'm just looking too deep into it? I don't know, but Jinsung's face looks a bit off??? He looks a bit too young here.

THIS is why I love Team Sweet and Sour. Like Arkraptor said, they're all defective in their own way. They cover eachother's weaknesses and provide comfort when needed. They aren't from rich or well-off families and even if one of them is, she still struggles a lot. It's just the way they're all so casual with eachother that makes me love this team so much! Found family <3.

This reveal is so well done to me. It's just told in a casual conversation. "Hey, you're very lucky. That guy who was overly friendly with you wanted to kill you all at first!". It shows how, yes, not all FUG members are insane killers. However, they cannot be trusted so easily either.

I genuinely did not like the change season 1 did at the end where Bam stands up on his own. Because it gave the impression to anime-onlies that Bam WILLINGLY joined FUG. Now this scene feels awkward. Because all of a sudden he cannot decide? This is just a nitpick and I'm sure not many people will care. But I feel like it shows how you have to be careful what you choose to change in an adaptation because it may break the immersion later down the road.

Hmm they didn't mention the memorial rings that were used to track down Bam's friends? Well it wasn't mentioned in the first season so it makes sense. I appreciate that they're still following the webtoon this time even if they have to correct some parts in order to make it flow better with season 1's changes.

Hehe Hwaryun munching while Wangnan furious. I do wish they at least showed his face properly or make him stand up in order to show his anger over Viole's situation. Sitting stiff while yelling all that feels awkward at most.

Aww I wish they showed that panel with the two of them and that glowing tower (I forgot its name whoopsie) between them! It was one of my favourite scenes :(

BAHAHAHAH IM SO SORRY BUT THAT ZOOM IN ON KARAKA WAS GENUINELY SO FUNNY AND GOOFY LOOKING. I hope season 2 part 2 has improved camera movements/zoom-ins because these look too strange. It's like the animation cannot keep up with the music.

I love everything about this. Hisoka's VA voicing Urek is so good!! I love the tone of his voice which gives off a threatening vibe.

I always liked this introduction of Urek. He looks and sounds threatening, but the moment he found out that they are Regulars and not Rankers, he was willing to let them go. He isn't a "good guy" in this, but he can definitely be reasoned with. I always loved Tower of God antagonists because of how multi-layered they can be.

And this is the best reason to why Viole is stubborn/ruthless in these tests. It's not cause he's "edgy" now. He literally cannot afford to fail a single test. It's a great motive that can keep the story constantly progressing in my opinion.

YES LETS GO MY SECOND FAVOURITE VIOLE QUOTE!!! AND MAN THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD I FELT SO HYPED UP.

AND WHEN THE BEAT OF THE OST "Guardian" BY KEVIN PENKIN DROPS...GOD THIS IS SO GOOD. THE ELECTRIFYING MUSIC IS PERFECT FOR THE UREK REVEAL! I will admit, I always pictured "Bubble in the Wine Glass" for Urek's reveal but this is better!

Yea I really wished they showed us this shot, at least its in the ED!

Okay so this episode was slightly better but man, the stiffness during talking scenes was pretty obvious here... I really hope they try a bit harder for next cour. But that Urek reveal was so hype!!! I cannot wait! I hope it's episode 1 animation again!!! They have a lot of expectations given the Great Journey OP which had the fight animated for the first time. Hope for the best! P.S. I know my opinions have been very...wishy-washy. So I want to make my stance clear. I am enjoying the anime. But I also acknowledge that it's not a great adaptation. There are very obvious flaws.

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 5

Time for a new arc! And this episode we get to meet "the other team"!

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 8/10

Summary: Tower of God is certainly at its best when they focus on the characters. The tone was well done and I loved how they adapted that ending speech by Khun. Music went hard as well!

Hm. I think this is anime original? I like how they showed it from Khun's POV while also typign up the loose ends over Bam and Endorsi's relationship in the anime. Season 1 skipped a lot of scenes where it insinuated that she was developing feelings for him. This scene feels a bit shoehorned in but I understand why they did it. They plan on following the webtoon properly this time so they need to show that she had crush on him.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH KARAKA MENTIONED!!!!

His running looks a little goofy ngl. Music slayed tho

Okay, compared to the other first person POVs we have gotten, this one actually looks like he's going fast.

Oooo they drew this beautifully!

I still love how quickly Edin Dan accepted that this is his life now. He didn't throw a fit over being outsmarted, just frustrated that he fell for it. I always liked the guy even if he didn't get too much screentime.

Holy shit Rachel looks really good in this artstyle. I'm glad they kept the snake-like eyes on her!! And her VA kills it as always

Love the knife behind her symbolism. But I also love how Khun's face can clearly be seen as "Do you seriously think I'm falling for this?" if you already know the outcome!

HES HEREEEEEE. Come back to the webtoon, child!!!!

HOLY SHIT HER VA MAN. THAT TONE SWITCH WAS PERFECT. We're in for a treat when we get more scenes with her being manipulative because damn!

I love how he says it in a noble way but his eyes show he is doing this for revenge. Bam may be named after the night, but he was his light.

I get that this wasn't an important fight so they didn't go all out with the animation and kept things simple. So I won't complain. I do like the lighting though!

HELP I STILL LOVE HOW HE BOUGHT THE NUMBER 1 T-SHIRT FOR HIMSELF AND NUMBER 2 FOR RAN. Little details like this really help in understanding the characters more. Norvick is so silly!

Okay, so when I first read the webtoon, I genuinely thought that the light was the Sun. But then I thought it was Rachel's lighthouse. But now I have no idea. I guess SIU just wanted there to be some cool imagery to snap Khun's amusement to his more sinister side.

And the way they narrow the screen?! Very good in setting up tension.

I love everything about this. Portraying Khun's inner monologue this way with his voice sounding a bit distorted along with shaky text is so good!!! Khun isn't just some sneaky guy, he is sinister when he wants to be and this is a perfect way of showing it in the anime!

Gosh, and the way the screen glitches out and his voice gets even MORE distorted is just amazing. A good way of showing that although he his explaining his plan to his team in a calm and rational manner, inside, he is SEETHING over explaining to his team why he hates Rachel.

The way Khun's eyes glow in the dark paired with Rachel's laugh thinking she won?? LIKE DAMN GO OFF. I LOVE THIS.

Hehe Team Sweet & Sour domestic life I love this. Feels awkward to have this right after such a serious scene but I guess they wanted it to end with Viole and FUG instead since the ED song showcases scenes with Viole or Wangnan for every episode

QUEEN HWARYUN IS HERE AND HER "yaho! :D" WAS SO CUTE. NEXT EP WE WILL GET FUG LEZGO.

Okay this was a really good episode, they absolutely nailed the Khun and Rachel scenes and the style they chose to go with for Khun's speech was such a good decision. It's clear that the studio definitely does best when the scenes involve talking because they show the tension really well. Kevin Penkin went off in this episode too I love it!

I do hope the animation improves more before THAT episode and that now they won't be skipping important plot points. Hopefully the characters will look less stiff too!

Can't wait for next episode!

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 1

Hey guys, I hope to make this a regular thing every week! Before I begin, I want to state that I watched episode 1 and 2 when it first aired, but I didn't have the time to write anything about those episodes. Now I do! At the time of writing this, I have not watched episode 3. Anyway! Let's go!

Summary: A solid premiere that showcases what this new season will offer with the change in studio and artstyle! Some scenes felt a bit off but it wasn't too much of a bother!

I like the short recap at the beginning of the episode! It lets us adjust to the new artstyle and direction the show is going while also giving us a bit of a refresher as it has been 4 years!

This scene is interesting because first, AWWW ENDORSI NOOOOO SHES CRYING, and two, does this mean that they will add in the Bam and Endorsi scenes that were skipped? I sure hope they do their best to add in key scenes for characters that were changed or skipped in season 1!

Why did Yuri's VA change? It will take some time for me to get used to it, but it's alright.

I like her look, they made sure to design her as closely to the webtoon as they could.

KEVIN PENKIN YOU'RE COOKING SO DAMN HARD WITH THIS SOUNDTRACK. THIS SCENE FELT LIKE MADE IN ABYSS FOR A SECOND WITH THAT MUSIC. LOL

I love how the inspirational music playing as Wagnan steels his resolve gets cut out with a loud chanting ost when Viole comes into frame.

Love the details on his eyes. He looks tired. First glimpse of Bam as Viole!

Jokes aside, it was VERY well done. I smiled like an idiot watching it and even replayed it many times.

I am unsure if it was done by a solo animator, but I hope they save their resources for this type of animation during very important fights.

Season 1 had very animated fight scenes too but they all felt slow to me. This? I love, the dynamic camera really adds to the action. Music is great too! Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying its better than other popular shows' fight scenes with sakuga animation. I'm just saying that if they maintain this current standard, I will be satisfied!

I do wish it was slightly longer and I am worried that this episode may be the only one with good animation for its fight scenes due to how much it was being used for promotion. However, I will keep my fingers crossed that they are cooking for THAT important fight later in this cour.

I LOVED the ending to this episode. Viole's flashbacks, and him standing in that elevator with the music playing. It gives you so much regarding Viole's feelings about his life and his surroundings at that moment. And the way the music distorts at the end adds to the tragedy of Viole in my opinion!

I LOVE THIS ED SO MUCH GUYS. THEY DID IT IN WEBTOON SCROLLING FORMAT!!! THEY EVEN ADDED SIU'S WAY OF CREDITING HIMSELF EVERY CHAPTER (He removed the TUS after coming back from hiatus tho oh no)

To me, this ED not only pays respect to the source material and how many of us read Tower of God. But also a way, in my opinion, of telling the audience that "Yes, we know about the source material, and we will follow it this time." And I like that it will show more every episode. (Also covering up all the events with Jahad's symbol like its "blocking memories" is kind of funny. I doubt the studio did it with that in mind but its still a neat coincidence)

Overall, a fantastic premiere to the new season! If they maintain this quality, we are in for a treat!

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 8

Summary: Sigh. It's getting harder and harder to defend this anime. Yea. If you guys see me no longer posting about new ToG episodes, just know that I've given up.

ENDORSI IS HERE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I like how they make her horn more obvious.

WDQOJIJQWQ THEY WERE JUST STANDING STILL THERE.

Yo the music goes hard here. The movements though....its...okay.

What. Are you guys seeing this. THAT ANIMATION LOOKS SO AWKWARD.

The shinsu colour and effects are still good. But it also feels very slow, as if you can see the frames.

Honestly Khun is right, but this scene also shows that this team, unlike S&S, is mostly business. They are not built on trust, but rather, financial obligation.

There's something so cute about Viole, the strongest in the team, sitting on the ground with the weakest members of the team.

IT MAY BE FROM AN AI, BUT IT GIVES KHUN SOME HOPE. I love it because it shows than even someone as logical as Khun would find himself clinging to any form of hope.

I'll be honest, I never understood this scene in the webtoon. It was a pretty creepy chapter though. The anime did it well enough!

Sigh. Okay. What the heck, they are barely trying. Trustworthy room used to be the worst arc which was animated but now its crazy that it had BETTER animation in its fights than THIS. I feel like the anime is absolutely botching these tests and making them the worst aspects of the story.

It hurts to say this but I'll be honest, this episode kind of killed most of my hope for this anime and Tower of God getting the respect it deserves in general. It took so long for me to watch this episode because I've been seeing people absolutely thrashing it online, which killed my motivation.

I've been making excuses like "oh they're saving their time and resources on more important scenes" but now I am not so sure.

Now, I could say that Tower of God's main charm isn't in its fights, but rather its story and lore. However, it's hard to enjoy the talking scenes when the characters look so stiff and sometimes expressionless. They don't even bother showing different perspectives during the talking scenes to help keep us engaged. it just feels like pictures with only the mouths moving.

I don't want to be a doomposter for this anime because yapping negativity all the time over an anime feels exhausting.

I might consider dropping this anime now and just enjoy being a webtoon fan.

So, if you guys see that I have stopped posting these reactions, well, you know why. Once again, sorry if this post seemed negative. I tried as hard as I could to keep it positive while still being honest about my thoughts.

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 3

Woo hoo I am finally reacting to an episode blind! This post will contain my initial thoughts on the episode! I heard it was not that great so I am nervous!

WEBTOON SPOILERS WAS TEASED BUT NOT OUTRIGHT STATED

Rating: 6/10

Summary: Quality dipped a bit. Music was still amazing, but some scenes were cut or changed when they really didnt have to be. Overall, the episode felt awkward due to movements feeling stiff and slow.

Hehe the cheek pinching scene was funny.

Hmm I don't like how they did this scene. They treated this as a one-off comment. But if I remember correctly, they were all looking outside and when Goseng made that remark, everyone looked away. I loved that scene a lot because they all wish they can stop climbing but they have things that are just far more important to them. Everyone knows about the stress and dangers, but they have no choice. Anyway not a huge fan with the change in tone they had for this line.

uh. This might sound a bit nitpicky but am I the only one who found this part off? like the lines are meant to show that he was alarmed. But everything felt so stiff and awkward. like an image with line effects on the side. It didn't give off the feeling it intended to give off, at least in my opinion.

Hmmm these changes are confusing me. Because I could've sworn that Prince ran up to Viole and locked him in the room at first. Did they change it to save time???

I LOVE how Horyang didn't deny it or get flustered. There's a time and place for everything.

LOL THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WAGNAN WAS READY TO JUMP SOMEONE AND IT WAS JUST GOSENG.

I love her sm! She's the best example of a regular who doesn't mind failing the test. Climbing the tower isn't as important to her! I love seeing a regular with a different perspective!

Wagnan really ruined the moment where Gonseng admits that he inspired her huh....HAHAHA

RAAAAH KARAKA MENTIONED!!!! Also I always loved that look Love gave Viole right before their showdown. Love is cute, but he is a Ranker for a reason.

God I love the look they both gave to eachother. Things are heating up!

Hmm its by no means, BAD. But... I wouldn't say it looks GREAT either. I feel like the movements feel a bit too stiff to really portray the urgency and desperation of this test, especially Viole vs Love.

AAAAAAAAAAH ITS HAPPENING PLEASE PLEASE NAIL THIS. I HOPE THEY PORTRAY THE TONE AND EMOTIONS PERFECTLY AT LEAST.

Okay so overall, I can see where the criticism is coming from. Viole vs Love looked a bit awkward, and I think next episode will look a bit awkward as well If I remember the trailer correctly. I do think people are overreacting some aspects regarding the show's quality, but I do agree with some of them. The direction of some of the scenes feel too stiff or awkward. In addition, a lot of scenes were cut or changed, which could've really made the test more intense.

However, despite all this, I haven't lost hope in this adaptation yet. I am just keeping my expectations in the middle, not too low, not too high. Because the moment I saw that the only fight they showed in the trailer that was well animated was from the first episode, I had a feeling that the studio would want to allocate their resources on more demanding scenes, like a certain fight after this arc....

I do hope that the direction of the anime improves at least and that more camera angles and movements are used even if they are just talking!

New episode is in a few hours....I hope it can bring some TOG fans back!

My Thoughts on Tower of God Season 2 Episode 2

So, premiere was great! Now it's time for a slower episode!

Summary: Music was great! Not much happened as it is meant to be the calm before the storm, but it was still enjoyable! I was a little disappointed over some of the scenes that were skipped but it's not a huge deal-breaker for me.

Always loved Rachel's story to Bam. Because it shows how different they are. Bam finds the story sad, but Rachel sees it as a happy one.

HAHA MY FAV SCENE IS ANIMATED NOW YAY! THIS WAS SO FUNNY.

This scene was always so cute! Miseng giving the "monster" some chocolate, and the "monster" actually accepting it politely. But...i thought she gave chips in the webtoon??? I dont know. I wonder if Viole thought of Rak when he saw that chocolate bar.

WELL PUT HIM IN THE RING WITH HATZ AGAIN I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT. Also it's so cool to see Hatz's name be held with such honour. Team Shibisu really made a name for themselves!

Man they nailed the feeling of dread they're all having over geting so low. I legit felt so sorry for them despite knowing what happens.

And its finally here! The OST was perfect for the build up. Viole just lightly touched it without making a sound and he instantly went to 1st place! Though, i remember Love doing the test as well and still scoring higher, showing that Rankers are still stronger than Viole and forshadowin of what's to come. I wish they kept that in.

I felt a bit sad seeing some anime-onlies finding this scene cringe. But honestly? I love it. Because it shows how unlike most of them, Wagnan KNOWS he's weaker. He KNOWS he needs someone to help him. And he NEEDS to climb the tower no matter what. So he is going to try his absolute hardest to be picked, even if he has to humiliate himself. That's dedication. Usually other stories would show these types of people as pathetic so it makes sense that people found this scene pathetic as well. Just wanted to provide my thoughts on this scene and why I love it so much. Oh and I love how the only people that begged were the ones who NEEDS to climb the tower no matter what.

Hmm they skipped the whole bath scene. Tragic but given the amount of episodes for this cour, makes sense.

Honestly looking back at this scene, I didn't realise that it also shows that Viole's doesn't care about eliminating Jahad and the Ten Great Families. If he did, Wagnan would've been so screwed. But he just got his ring back without any further questioning.

Okayyy so that's all I have to say about episode 2. Sorry that I don't have much thoughts about this episode. It was mostly talking. But now, I am caught up with the episodes I have already watched! Episode 3's post will be my most initial thoughts as I will be watching while writing my thoughts!
