Deltarune Hyperlink Blocked Theory

[SPOILERS FOR DELATRUNE CHAPTER 2]

It’s possible that when Spamton says ‘[Hyperlink Blocked]’ Kris understands what’s being said.

Why else would Kris tell their party members not to follow them into the Queen’s basement or Spamton’s store- just as Spamton asked? Sure, the player is making Kris visit Spamton, but we have no control over Kris telling their party members to wait outside. Kris does this even though they appear to back away from Spamton in fear, so it must’ve been a really tempting deal.

The next concern here is that when Spamton gets ‘help’ from someone over the phone, no one else can understand what’s being said on the other end. If Kris can understand what [Hyperlink Blocked] is while the player can’t, there may come a time where they hear something in the phone that we don’t.
