Transcript: On the “self-insert”—well, that’s exactly the issue. She’s not 100% literally Temmie, like Annoying Dog is literally Toby, she’s more Temmie-flavored but has her own lore and personality alongside that, hence why I’m unsure how to classify this. There’s likewise the issue of the Temmie society(is Tem Shop Temmie still her own distinct Temmie? Is she in colleg with Asriel right now? She has her own distinct hair color and design, so she probably has more claim for being Literally Temmie than the Deltarune version) They fit together very well thematically(“desperate to believe he has value” vs. “desperate to be recognized for her own talents”) hence why I’m so interested in the concept. Also it’d be very funny to just watch the guy blue screen after seeing Temmie pull up in a giant mech or something.

At the end of the day, I’ve heard both opinions on that Temmie issue, hence why I asked here in the first place.

Right, so I got this fic/au/weird concept idea that I can't seem to get out of my head so I'm gonna dump it here if thats alright with you. Maybe I'll make a fic out of it (or more likely commission someone else to do it bc I have zero creative writing experience) So the general concept is a Player (who would be an established character, not a self insert) gets bored of waiting for chapter 3 and downloads a shady mod to scratch that hiatus itch. This royally Fucks Things Up™, and the files of Deltarune get corrupted and scattered across the Player's computer. As a result, the memers of the Fun Gang (+Noelle and Berdly) suddenly find themselves lost in various strange worlds which are in fact different games on the Players computer. Each character has to navigate through their respective game/world and undergo character development before they can be found by the Player and returned to Deltarune. Susie -> Stardew Valley (her goal is to learn to trust those trying to help her, and also I want her to have a cozy home life for once in her goddamn life)

Berdly -> Portal 2 (needs to overcome his self-esteem issues and learn to trust his own intelligence once he is separated from Noelle. This is facilitated by the many puzzles and the local sarcastic evil AI)

Noelle -> Elden Ring (a trial by fire, dropped in the deep end experience where she must learn to be self sufficient and trust in her own power, standing up to those much stronger and scarier than her)

Ralsei -> The Stanly Parable (needs to learn to ignore "prophecies" and "fate", and gather the courage to defy the prewritten narrative. also, the meta elements would really fuck with his head)

Kris -> Undertale

wait omg i actually love this... susie in stardew valley is a CONCEPT. she would love abigail! she'd be pretty eager to get out of there otherwise though lol she doesn't strike me as the farm life type. i've never played portal 2 but glados ordering berdly around is the Funniest thing to me and so is thinking of noelle in her sweet little angel outfit wandering through goddamn elden ring and killing monsters. ralsei gets to tsp and just does exactly what the narrator says for like six runs in a row and then finally the narrator gets weirded out by his enthusiastic obedience and is like okay look you've Got to shake this up somehow you're making me nervous

I'm usually most active as a roleplayer, but thanks to some self reflection, I've sorta decided to give something a bit more... idk, easier to freestyle and more flexible to focus on right now instead.
