Dell is a US-based global technology company that provides research and development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales support services in the field of personal computers and computer products.

As a global computer supplier, Dell manufactures and sells network components, peripherals, cameras, printers, servers, pocket computers, data storage hardware and software, apart from personal computers.

Since its establishment, Dell has focused on manufacturing and selling hardware components. In 2009, it started to offer Information Technologies ( IT ) services. The company, which is on the Fortune 500 list, was ranked 51st until 2014. It later rose to 34th place. Dell expanded its market share in 2021, moving up to 3rd place in PC unit sales statistics. The first two on the list are HP and Lenovo .

Dell History

Dell was founded in 1984 by Michael Dell as PC’s Limited . Micheal Dell, who continues his education at the University of Texas, has determined the headquarters of his company as a dormitory room. Selling customized upgrade components for IBM PCs, Dell dropped out of school the same year to focus on his company.

In 1985 Dell developed and released its first computer, the Turbo PC.

PC’s Limited has created a dynamic infrastructure for after-sales support (customer support) in accordance with the company policy. PC’s Limited, which achieved great success with the business model it created, took its new name as Dell Corporation in 1988. The public offering of Dell Corporation was also held in the same year.

In 1989, Dell introduced the company’s first laptop as the 316LT. As of this date, the company anticipated the development of laptop technology and focused on this field in its R&D studies. As a result of his work, he developed the first color laptops in 1991 and the long-lasting “ lithium-ion battery ” technology in 1994.

Dell Corporation, which started online computer sales services in 1996, never gave up on customer support. In the same year, it started to provide online support services to its customers. The company achieved its first big success through its online sales channel, and in 1999 it surpassed Compaq Computer Corporation, the largest US computer vendor. In the same year, it acquired ConvergeNet Technologies to provide enterprise storage system services.

wasnt enough for the integrated laptop keyboard to stop working most of the time (why i bought the external wireless keyboard last year) now it did actually short out, so when it does work only half of the keys do, and there's no easy way to say 'stop trying to get this keyboard to work', no no no, now its acting like one of the keys are pressed when it does....

siiigh. finally buying a replacement keyboard.

I call this beautiful piece “Hey we’ve got an older man ordering a laptop over the phone, do we have any returns we can sell to him so I don’t have to verbally walk him through the process of choosing the hardware for the next half hour?”

Not shown: People Playground crashing, Firefox taking twice as long to load, Dead By Daylight stuttering and lagging so bad I had to quit a match, sea of thieves rubberbanding with all graphics settings set to the lowest possible quality, rejecting the laptop charger for “not providing enough power”, the 15% chance of the display not turning on with the rest of the laptop upon being powered on, sporadic frame rate drops on all games, and last but certainly not least, the laptop overheating bc it went into sleep mode instead of turning off despite me very specifically clicking the shut down button bc it wanted to update the whole system its second day of usage Which interrupted the teacher in class because the fans went full power for the whole thing.
