The Pancakes holiday is coming to an end. They spent three full days just relaxing, playing in the water and making sandcastles. Bob is melancholic as always, tho'.

Anniversary Tournament
Last year for Doctor Who's anniversary I ran a tournament between Doctor Who stories, and I wanted to so something different again this year. A tournament between real people important to the history of Doctor Who, actors, writers, producers, directors, composers, production designers. Technically it'll be a tournament for the most infuential person to Doctor Who and its development over the years, but really I want it to be a celebration of all of these people, and not just the winner.
To that end, the nomination form, you can also submit nominations normally, ie sending me an ask or replying to this post, however I won't be accepting propaganda through those methods.
I'm thinking I'll close nominations on the 18th of November, that might change but probably not by much

Thank you for your ask!! I’m gonna do three songs for the three emojis because I’m greedy 🙈🙈
First up:
✨ Suspended in Time ✨ from Xanadu on Broadway
Favorite lyric:
“But I know for certain goodbye is a crime, so love if you need me, suspend me in time”
(I definitely don’t cry every time I hear it, it’s fine shhhh)
Second:
✨ Rocket to the Moon (Reprise) ✨ from Over the Moon
Favorite lyric: It’s a tie between
“Magnetic levitation, frictional cessation”
Because COME ON— who makes “frictional cessation” work that well in a song?? It’s gorgeous and soooo fun to sing. And then my second favorite (besides the refrain hehe):
“Hold on, Bungee!”
Because it’s damn cute and that BELT?! Yes please
And third:
✨ Run Away ✨ by Ben Platt
Favorite Lyric: I would just like to say that I fucking love the entire refrain of this song with my entire being and it ALWAYS gets to me. But my absolute favorite line is
“Sometimes his dreams would drive him wild, so into bed she piled, to help him fall asleep”
And of course I feel like I need to add the bit from my Mina x Delia fic title, but the lead up to the refrain after it is also gorgeous, so I’m just going to write out the whole thing—
“You say it’s safer on your own, you’d rather sleep alone, then grow to need me there.
But I hope now you can see what my mom and dad showed me, I’m not going anywhere.
I love you more and more each day
To love is not to leave
So hear me when I say:
I may not be wise, and I won’t save the day. But look in my eyes, and know I’ll always stay.
And I won’t run away. I won’t run away.”

May was another month having to adjust to the new normal we live in, with plenty of books & TV and a few more life happenings. In short, I graduated from college (virtually), read a lot of books, started grad school (virtually), and started working on my summer tan!  Since my state has had one of the most severe amount of outbreaks, we’re still primarily home as some stores and business slowly start to re-open. I’ve been very fortunate to have the opportunity to work from home and take graduate school courses online, so I have a feeling I’ll be spending a lot of time still home this summer.
Since I now do monthly If We Were Having Coffee posts and Fangirl News, I’ve decided to not include the Life Happenings section in my monthly wrap ups. I’ll add some tidbits about life lately in my introduction but I’ll be getting into more detail about my life and anticipated bookish happenings in those respective posts.
The One (The Selection #3) by Kiera Cass | 3/5 Stars
The One was actually my least favorite book in The Selection trilogy. America annoyed me the most  out of all three books, and it threw in so many new elements that were too late, considering that this is the last book in the trilogy. I know The Heir and The Crown are considered sequels, but I’m not sure if I see myself picking them up.
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren | 4.5/5
I totally now understand everyone’s love for this Chriistna Lauren favorite! Hazel is one of my new favorite protaoginsts of theirs.
The Jane Austen Society by Natalie Jenner (ARC)
The Jane Austen Society is a hot new book of the summer. I think this one will really appeal to women’s fiction meets historical fiction fans or fans of Austen .
Well Met by Jen DeLuca | 5/5
It was really no surprise that Well Met became one of my favorite rom-coms! The male protagonist, Simon, in this enemies-to-lovers romance set during a summer Renaisssance Faire quickly became one of new bookish boyfriends.
On Ocean Boulevard by Mary Alice Monroe | 4/5
Mary Alice Monroe is such a staple in women’s fiction, so I was very excited to review her latest release, On Ocean Boulevard. This book was such a better way to transition into the summertime.
The Dazzling Heights (The Thousandth Floor #2) by Katharine McGee | 4.5/5
I’ve been living for dystopian, but also glamorous YA series. The Dazzling Heights is my favorite book in The Thousandth Floor trilogy.
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens | 4/5
It took a few friends to convince me to do so, but I gave into the hype and read Where the Crawdads Sing. It’s definitely worth the hype and its story took a turn I wasn’t expecting.
The Towering Sky (The Thousandth Floor #3) by Katharine McGee | 4/5
The Towering Sky was a satisfying conclusion to The Thousandth Floor series. It wasn’t my favorite in the series, but I liked where it leaves most of the characters.
Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon (ARC) | 5/5
For sure one of my favorite books of 2020, I feel absolutely in love with Rachel Lynn Solomon’s Today Tonight Tomorrow! I loved EVERYTHING about this one and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
All the Right Mistakes by Laura Jamison (ARC) | 4/5
I love books featuring female friends from college (trust me, it’s a thing), and All the Right Mistakes was a really enjoyable read about five friends whose secrets get exposed when one of them publishes a tell-all book.
Becoming by Michelle Obama (audio) | 4.5/5
It me over a month and a half to do so, but I finished the audiobook version of Michelle Obama’s Becoming. A few of my friends and I read this at the same time.  I really loved Michelle Obama’s narration, and it’s such an interesting look at her life before and during being First Lady.
Ben Platt Live From Radio City Music Hall (Netflix) – If there’s one thing you should watch on Netflix from May, it’s Ben Platt’s concert! I’ve been listening to his album Sing to Me Instead since last fall and I live in regret that I didn’t see him live, so I’m so glad it’s on Netflix. His performance was amazing. I loved the moments in between songs when he talks to the audience.
Selling Sunset S2 (Netflix) – Reality TV has been my favorite escapism, right next to reading. My favorite Netfix reality show, Selling Sunset, came back this month. Set in the extravagant world of Hollywood real estate, it is such an addicting show. There’s going to be a third season premiering on August 7th.
Shtisel S1 (Netflix) – After enjoying the Israeli version of Baker and the Beauty (update: I tried watching the American version and only got through the first three episodes), I dedicated to explore more Israeli shows, which led me to Shtisel. It’s considered to be one of Netflix’s best international shows and I can’t help but agree! I’m excited to watch the second season in June. An American version has been optioned for Amazon Prime.
Workin’ Moms (Netflix) –Another Netflix favorite of mine came back in May: Workin’ Moms! I flew through the first 8 episodes and highly recommend checking out this show’s first four seasons – I’m not-so patiently for the fifth season – if you’re in the mood for female-led comedy.
Friends With Kids (Amazon Prime) –Everyone knows I love rom coms in both book and movie form. I’m a big fan of Adam Scott, and Friends with Kids had been on my to-watch list for a while. Although I wish it had ended differently, this is such a funny and relaxing night watch.

Στο «The Feasts of Memory—A Journey to a Greek Island», ο Κουλουκουντής στρέφεται στην ανακάλυψη των ελληνικών καταβολών του, αποκαλώντας το βιβλίο του «μια αυτοβιογραφία όλων όων δεν μου συνέβησαν».

Granparents Pancakes came to see baby Jack, and for the occasion Bob wanted to show his culinary skill to them, especially his mother (who eally wanted Bob to be a doctor, or a politician).
It was an okay night. Granpa was the one who enjoyed it most, thanks to Bob and Delia's swimming pool.
