Kurogiri - he is very nice! for being a nomu he is really smart, so every time I hang out with him we just exchange facts!

Twice - he is very nice to me and has not tried to kill me personally.

Compressor - he is really nice and cool but the last time I saw him my wallet went missing. he says that it wasn't him, but I don't know if I believe it...

Toga - as long as she has a blood pack on her she is very cute! if not she will stab me.

Shigaraki - I kinda see him has some sort of step brother (get your mind out of the gutter!). he doesn't really know how to talk to me but he stopped trying to kill me :D

Dabi/ Toya ( I never know what to call him (> H <)) - I hope that he kills himself.

My name is Kieran. This is a Sideblog to my main, @skeptykall. I'm an experienced writer, and have been writing a bunch of fandoms and original cont3nt for almost 2 decades. I am very literate. This Deku is canon-divergent, and keep in mind, while I'm happy to ship with multiple characters I do have a preference for BakuDeku.

I'll answer the pet peeve rq. Unless the other person's muse is a legit mind reader, no, your muse can not read mine's thoughts. It drives me nuts when another mun's muse physically reacts to something my muse thought about. Ex. My muse is thinking about getting a glass of water or something to drink then other mun's muse gets up and pours them a drink.

Ok, it is a nice gesture that your muses did that but no... mine was thinking. I know that probably sounds like something not worth getting annoyed over but it does.

Back to the 1st question !

So short story: I wanted to challenge myself.

Long Story:

Before I made this blog, I was speaking with my wife, @shiningxfates about her Bakugou and she mentioned something along the lines of "I have roleplayed with villain Dekus before." and I remembered thinking "Oh goodness! Villain Deku?? How would that sweet baby bean be a villain??" It just sounded so foreign and jarring to me, this kid with the lifelong dream to be a hero... be written as a villain.

I can't recall when or how this next discussion happened but she said something like "It's popular for Deku to turn into a villain from 1 of 2 ways. From Katsuki's bullying or during Deku's vigilante arc." Note, I have a horrible memory so I can't recall the exact words or even when this was said but that was the jist of it.

And it got me thinking.

If those two were the most common ways, I wanted to make my own villain verse but not with those origins. I added a quirkless factor to make it more challenging. Y'all. That was difficult as hell. I do recall wracking my brain for days, trying to think what would motive Izuku into being a villain outside of the bullying and since he would be quirkless, how would he turn so soon since he received All Might's consideration in episode 2.

One thing stood out to me. Izuku had said in episode 1 "Mom, that's not what I needed you to say." Izuku ... what do you mean by needed ? Why did you need to hear her say 'You can be a hero' ? Which then lead to the fact that All Might first said to him "Some Villains can't be defeated without a quirk." and then the pro heroes berated him for stepping in and trying to save Katsuki.

There was the motivation. Remember the saying "All things come in threes" ? Three times. We hear his dream crushed 3 times. It's ok if Black Swan Origin hasn't been read yet but there is something I want to point out which I don't know if anyone noticed. In the Origin, Izuku asks Why to his mom, All Might and to the Pros.

He never directed this to Katsuki.

Towards the end, Izuku says "Lies. Lies. Lies." To what his mother, All Might and the Pros said to him. To what Katsuki said, he didn't utter "Lies." Izuku doesn't blame him at all for taking this path. His motivation, after hearing he could not be a hero, was to prove them wrong by defeating heroes.

I wracked my brain again because Izuku is very intelligent and I wanted to convey that. I remember Hawks infiltrating LOV as a Spy and I thought "If there is a spy in the Swan's ranks, how can he stay discreet when it comes to discussing which Pro hero he is taking down?" I gave him a gambling habit, to gain money, but it also worked for him to give the heroes code names via suit cards.

And making his public face that of a woman came from the saying "False information is worse than no information." I try to keep him many steps ahead. Hell, all of the heroes who go missing... they're not dead. They're basically used as leverage in case he ever gets captured.

As for the name well, in finances, the term Black Swan means "a rare, unpredictable, and random event that poses significant downside risk"

Black Swan also means "an event that comes as a surprise, has a major effect and severe consequences"

Izuku also has a very slender body, like a swan but there's a more obvious reason why he picked it. Esp if you saw the first episode of MHA. Some time after I made my Black Swan verse, I asked my waifu what kind of traits does Quirkless Villain Izuku have and she said "He is usually a hacker." Which I can see but I prefer the one I made, a chess master ! ]]

So I have a question. I am debating on adding another side blog to this account, much like my Chai account.

Recently I been roleplaying on Discord and creating AUs, and one really got me going and curious to write for, but I wasn't sure how good it would be for a public setting.

Watching Across the Spider-verse has really motivated me to write Spider-Man content, but I wasn't just thinking of Spider-Man alone. I was thinking of the concept of Spider-Deku. Basically, if Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia got spider powers. Why him? I honestly don't know. I think the fan art of that concept is really cool, and I feel the world of MHA is limiting with being super heroes hiding identities.

I always thought it would be cool to write that with others. But I am not sure if anyone would be into that. It wouldn't take place in My Hero, at least without plotting. What do you all think?

Has anyone heard of Hero La Kill by Aduubo?

It's a really good fanfic that crossesover with MHA and Kill La Kill. It's a really good read and there even some videos from incredible voice actors who play the roles well.

It's funny because this fic is one of the contributing factors for why I made this blog. I always thought it be cute and fun to roleplay with Kill La Kill characters. Though I doubt there are any around or they would like my Deku.

I probably just blend in with the many others out there. Anyway, you guys should give this a read and look it up on Youtube. I just wanted to talk about it. I really need to catch up on the latest chapters. ^^

Synopsis:

The Fall Of A Hero

...

"Today, the entire country is mourning the sudden death of a national symbol."

The Number One Hero, that who saved the entire world from All For One when he was just a second year at UA, Izuku Midoriya; Hero Name: Deku. 20 years ago, he was trained by the Number One of that time and the Symbol of Peace, All Might, to become his successor. His life became surrounded of dangers because of this, having to face up against one of the most dangerous villains of the past century, Tomura Shigaraki, and his master, the Symbol of Evil, All For One.

However, this wasn't enough to stop the young man, who showed he had the heart of a true hero and protected the world with all his strength.

"Today, the death of the Number One Hero, Deku, was reported. He was off-duty and no one knew how it happened. His dead body was found outside his Agency at Musutafu. It's a mystery how it all came to this."

Despite the cause of his death being unknown, there was something that everyone could be sure about. The same way it happened with All Might's retirement two decades ago, society would once again enter a period of chaos.

However, this time around, the Public Safety Comission would make sure to make things right as fast as possible.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING! :D

This is a developing multi-muse RP blog. After being convinced to try by my bestie, I'm down to attempt practicing more roleplay with characters from some interesting or fun shows and games, including My Hero Academia, Pokémon, Steven Universe, and hopefully maybe more? "Quick" Notes:

Semi-Decent, Quasi-Experienced Roleplayer (and Rollplayer), but currently very new to doing so via Tumblr.

I live for romance and shipping, with a decent passion for combat. I will sometimes initiate ideas that might lead to shipping (or combat (or both)), but only after having clear consent to it first.

If your character is an OC, I'd want a page with some info on them before roleplaying with them. (Hopefully any OCs of my own will also be similarly fleshed out soon enough.)

I am new to, but also open to, potential crossovers, if they are interesting or fun.

If the writing starts out fun enough, I'm happy to make new friends!

With established characters, I am open to potential changes in their canon.

I suffer from dysfunction issues even without working 8+ hours on the graveyard shift, so posts can sometimes be irregular, if not a struggle to come out.

I am also a victim of mild anxiety and confidence issues, which might affect both my perception and ability to write.

My normal type of roleplaying defaults to literate paragraph style. I would need to be coached into trying different methods.

I'm also a big fan of basic formatting, at least running my posts to avoid too many basic errors such as spelling and syntax. I can also understand being wordy, but break up walls of text with a break every now and then for the eyes. Meaner Notes Rules

Be reasonable when it comes to your writing. No drama, no godmodding, no meta-ing, or similar. We're weaving stories here.

I tend to need to be somewhat familiar with who I'm roleplaying with before I get too comfortable with NSFW content.

I am not the biggest fan of Tragedies. I'm fine with writing dramas, and some traumas, but I prefer being involved in stories that have happy, or at least bittersweet endings. Muses

i've been thinking a lot recently about anime becoming mainstream because (not to be that person) i was a fan of japanese animation LONG before it became something cool to like

at least in the UK, i can pinpoint anime being culturally acceptable at arounddd... 2019 or 2020.

but like, it wasn't in the way *I* remember engaging with anime. cosplay became a beauty contest (not that it wasn't already) - character panels and goofy videos of people baking in cosplay seem like a relic of the past. you could adorn your phone case with anime characters - but it had to be aesthetic. no clashing colours, all monochrome white, maybe all the photos are from manga panels. profile pictures are similarly desaturated, often void of the vibrant colours of their source material. it's a genuine struggle to find profile pictures without a filter on top of them. character.ai is fine, but roleplaying with real people is cringe and embarassing. and even if you do engage in something like fanfiction - it has to be near high art, "this could be published in a book" level writing.

i absolutely love that anime is mainstream now, contrary to what i've been saying. i love that foreign animation is big in the west, and it's slowly happening with Chinese and Korean animation too. I hope the foreign animation industry continues to expand. i love that i can walk into a WHSMITHs of all places and walk out carrying a Deku figure. I love that figures themselves are now reasonable prices for those not living in Japan. Merch is more accessible, anime as a whole is more accessible and that's great.

But in terms of fandom? Call me a grumpy old man at 20, but I'm not really a fan of the changes. it feels sanitisised in a way only something becoming mainstream can be. you can be a fan of anime - but you have to be Cool about it. Your pfp has to be unobstrusive, your layouts aesthetic. Don't get too into character while in cosplay or that's cringe. you have to be into it in an acceptable way.

im already seeing people on tiktok and twitter talking about "growing out" of their anime phases. and its fine to talk about that, because sometimes you do grow out of enjoying something, but its the way they talk about it thats revealing. they make fun of their younger selves, and mock those into it now. i've disparaged anime on this blog before, but there's a REASON it's gotten so big as it has. when it's good? it's really good! and going too far in the other direction and saying "all anime is bad and trash and degenerate" feels, at best, reductive, and at worst, xenophobic.
