And now, let's talk about the k-505 Realm of Magic UPDATE :)

We updated the rocks, the grass, the roads, the paths,, and so on ...

We worked a lot on rockies to render a more tormented aspect ;)

The new files are now divided in 3 packages : nature - roads - urban and their date is 31102024 ;) because it was at first planned to be released for Halloween :D But hell, we are not going to release the same day than Life & Death Expansion !!! :D

These pictures has been shot using the k-707 beta which is not yet available ( and won't be until Xmas at least ) ...

Related to the k-707, we know about question marks, black textures, glitches for some ... Those problems are ONLY due to the not yet dx11 updated k-707 indeed ! Stop complaining about the k-505 mods WHICH ARE UPDATED for 2 months now ...

Another point : we do not know where somes are downloading their k-mods. But on our website, almost everything is updated. And none of our files are breaking any game : the k-mods are graphic replacements ONLY ...

He was an absolute fucking menace when it came to pranks and dares and to the present if you dare him to do anything and infer he is a chicken he will walk into hell to prove you wrong. The most stubborn man in the known realms.

I wholly adopt @smoreofbabylon’s headcanon that he was a boy soprano and quit when his voice broke because if he can’t be the best at something, he doesn’t want to do it.

I also subscribe to many people’s headcanons that he has spent so long in metaphysical spaces for sex that when he is in his body he barely lasts four fucking thrusts and that’s hot Gale it’s okay

Hey! If you'd be open to it, I was interested in hearing your thoughts on any Failtopia pairings that you particularly enjoy and the reasons you do? Whether they be platonic or romantic-

YESSSS I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO YAP ABOUT CHARACTER INTERACTIONS YWUAJSJEJJEJR!!! OKAY!! So idk how put together this is since there is a mix of my typing when I’m super tired + typing when I just woke up so I’m praying that what I’m saying makes sense LMAO. TLDR: I really like failtopia’s characters

So starting off with what is probably the most popular dynamic in this series: Bo and Erica!! To say they’ve both Gone Through It is an understatement, and them both finding comfort and safety in each other is amazing to me!! Like. Erica’s had so many people die on her and the reaction to finding out that was nearly impossible to lose Bo was just. Flawless. Can’t believe Dan improvised that. And Bo was sent to just kill Mar and work for Screamith but Erica was pretty much the start to her letting her true self shine and developing an actual attachment to The Incident!! It’s so awesome how Dan has wrote them. we love our gay level 6 “friendship” girlbosses ‼️‼️

Mar and Orion have also gone through a handful of things before the series begins, and the relationship they develop as the series progresses is pretty dang interesting! as much as the fandom focus on EriBo as a romantic thing, more people need to talk about how Mar has explicitly shown he has a crush on Orion. MULTIPLE TIMES. The idea of Orion opening up to Mar after he lost his wife and Mar opening up to Orion after his time as the Dark Curse and AGGHH I love these two so much and the way they interact every time they’re on screen is amazing. old man yaoi

I imagine C!Failboat and Erica as exes. like they dated for like a week and were both mutually like “that was awful let’s just stay friends”, They had a bunch of small interactions together (especially in S1) and I like them being friendly towards each other, Erica finding a friend in C!Fail was a pretty good step for her arc! I also think the idea of C!Fail and Erica being childhood friends in non-Miitopia AUs very intriguing!! Any content of those two interacting (that isn’t romantic) is always a nice thing to see!

Taking a break from the more popular relationships/friendships in this series, we have Deko and Joker!! For two characters that barely interact in canon there’s a lot you can do with them! They’re just two anime boys trying to survive in this weird party. I have a lot of thoughts on them but I just can’t form it aghahajsjjs but the main one is that they aren’t alone in what they’re going through, and no matter what backstory you use for Joker it still has a lot of potential!! I’m sure people can explain this one better than I can I just really like this rarepair!! while on the topic of Joker, shoutouts to his friendship with Lanc!! You can’t convince me Joker didn’t have a crush on them. Just watch their interactions in Karkaton and you’ll probably get what I mean lmaoo

I just need to mention the sisters!! even if they aren’t sisters by blood, Chi and Erica both have the energy! Chi being the thing that really gets Erica out of her “I hate everything” phase in both seasons needs to be talked about more. They bring out the best in each other I swear,, again I promise I can talk about them more my brain just isn’t giving me the words rn, but I think Gnome explains it best!

While on sibling dynamics, Bill and Shrimp is so great to me. Like. Bill helping Shrimp out not only because he likes her music, but also out of the genuine kindness of his heart is so sweet to me!! They’re so nice every time they’re on screen together and it’s fun to see them battling by each other’s sides!! plus the matching outfits in the finale was also a great touch :]

I’ve mentioned these two before, but Bill and Chi are criminally underrated imo. Like. They’re the only members of the Incident who have just recently turned 18, Chi’s literally Bill’s mentor after he changed jobs, and their dynamic is just so fun to work with!! Bill’s more mature and ‘normal’ while Chi is Chi and will set things on fire For Science and I think scenarios where they’re together are really fun to come up with!! Same with Shrimp and Chi!! The sister dynamic they have is also super underrated, like they’re a Fire and Water duo!! I think there’s a lot of things you can do there :0

look I am more than aware these two have never interacted but that’s cuz Dan is a COWARD and knows that Bo and Lanc being in the same room would lead to so much mayhem lmaoo. Out of everyone in The Incident (apart from Chi obviously) I see Lanc getting along with Bo the best! a lot of stuff I have for them is pretty based on fanon but you can’t tell me they wouldn’t gossip about the lastest drama with the party and the outside world. I swear they’re besties, they relate to each other, just hear me out. I also think Rose and Bo can be great friends and they really have a LOT in common!! Princess who faked their whole identity gang ‼️‼️

I love Erica and Rose just being each other’s biggest hater, it’s my favorite thing ever. it’s canon that Rose only shows off for Erica to prove to her that she’s better than her and that’s amazing to me. They’re both just so done with each other lmaoo (also the headcanon of them each other’s gay awakenings is perfect)

I think Friend and Mar interactions could be cool!! Like for starters they had some pretty huge connections to Hank they could bond over. also I find Mar being canonically a demon mixed with the headcanon of Friend being an angel very fun!! I also think Friend and Erica could be fun to see, especially with Erica’s past as a Cleric!! shared jobs and trauma!!

Mar and literally any FailFleet member can be funny I think, like we already have the Neksdor Three obviously, but I think an ACTUAL Bob and Mar reunion will lead to someone getting beat up lol, everyone in the S1 Squad would all have very different view points on if Mar deserves to be forgiven or not, or if he’s a good leader, etc. and I think that there should be more done with that!!

Orion’s friendship with the rest of The Incident is also a very important part of why the party is the way it is!! There’s absolutely characters with awful relationships to their dads, fathers that are barely around, or just never had a parental figure at all. I LOVE that Orion was able to fill that void for those party members, and he does a damn good job at it too!! And of course the parallels he has with Erica is great, both are stubborn warriors with a lot of baggage, but also have a lot of differences, like their views on stuff like becoming a healer!! Orion being like a mentor to Erica is great. also shoutouts to Slapo, we love her. I think her interacting with other members of The Incident is also something that’s needed more!!

Speaking of fathers, scenes with Chat and C!Fail are downright hilarious! Chat’s insanity mixed with C!Fail’s attitude always leads to some crazy thing going down! Chat with anyone really is always a treat, since they’re way more than too much to handle most of the time, and seeing how everyone reacts to their shenanigans is always gonna be fun!!

Smuk, Rose, and Bob’s relationship is just perfection. Bob obviously crushing on Rose is so great to see when they have scenes together and Smuk basically proposing to Rose (but not really) with that ring is also cool!! And of course we gotta mention Smuk and Bob’s bromance in Greenhorne, those two were inseparable a lot of the time I swear, I love them a lot, I’m praying if we get S3 we have those three come back (along with Petunyawn)

Deko’s friendship with both Chi and Lanc is vital to his arc!! Similar to Erica, he had gone through quite a lot before S1 and traveling with them got him to warm up to them and helped him get better control of his powers!! Lanc and Chi being absolute goofsters while Deko has no energy is VERY amusing!! also Deko, someone who was experimented on, being paired up with two soon-to-be scientists is vile lmaoo, why do you do this Dan /pos

SPEAKING OF THOSE SCIENTISTS!! If you thought I wasn’t gonna bring up Lanchi at all then you’re wrong. These two. These two are my everything. They’re undoubtedly my OTP!! There is quite a handful of canon evidence (in both seasons!) that point to Something going on between them!! I’d list them all out rn, but imma save that for another time, so I’ll just stick to saying everything I like about them!! The way Lanc and Chi just bounce off each other is insane. I swear they can read each other’s minds sometimes, they actually just share a braincell!! Lanc being all nervous in the Finale and Chi comforting them,, and ofc Chi being inspired by Lanc to switch jobs in S2 is just GAHAJJJJW I LOVE THEM!! They’ve been living rent free in my head since 2021 and I can’t get them out even if I tried!! EVERY SINGLE INTERACTION they have can be read as romantic. I refuse to believe they’re just friends lmaoo

Failtopia ship headcanons: Volume Three

Formatted differently to the previous ones, but I highly doubt more than two people even remember those.

Thinking about how Erica and Bo are both so plagued by a lack of control in their life, as well as the barrage of deaths they deal with, that they make drastic decisions they never would've otherwise, given their cautious natures, to try and regain that control.

Thinking about how Lanc and Chi are both silly goobers who talk exclusively about their special interests and work together on insane science projects to distract themselves from the fact that they're way out of their comfort zone in a team filled with competent adults.

Thinking about how Mar and Orion both have horrible coping mechanisms regarding their trauma that only worsens their personal relationships, and have to try harder than they ever would've wanted to maintain the positive relationships their livelihoods rely on.

Thinking about how Simple Bob, Smuk, and Rose are all so fixated on their professions, so fixated on building themselves up as worthy and capable, that none of them truly get to show off their actual personality unless it's an interaction with one of the other two.

Thinking about how Deko and Joker are both teenage boys with zero confidence in themselves and their abilities compared to literally anyone else around them, to the point that they just want to force themselves through the adventure without expressing real emotions.

Thinking about how Slapo and Petunyawn are both infant girls who set out into the wider world with none of the experience to behave even remotely normally, and largely rely on surrogate parental figures to give them any actual sense of direction or proper decision-making.

Giáng Sinh năm bay hem đc đi du lịch đâu hết, quanh quẩn với mấy cái chợ Giáng Sinh thui. Thực sự cũng đã ở đây quá quá lâu để thấy háo hức mỗi dịp Giáng Sinh về rùi. Đúng là the most wonderful time of the year. Vừa thấy đáng sợ và ngỡ ngàng vì đã sắp hết 1 năm. Vừa thấy vui vì một năm mới với challenge mới đang chờ mình. Thời gian vui nhất là mùa vọng (4 tuần trc Giáng Sinh). Khắp nơi bắt đầu giăng đèn, mùi đồ ăn, thức uống ấm nóng vị quế, socola, nutmeg… Mình bắt đầu uống được mulled wine và mê mulled wine mỗi khi đi chợ Giáng Sinh. Cảm nhận đc vị ngọt ngọt đắng đắng của nó. Uống ngụm cái là ấm ng ngay. Em mình thì bắt đầu nhắc từ tháng 10, tháng 11 rằng tới mùa vọng mình làm bánh cookies Giáng Sinh nhé! Mình thì bắt đầu nghe Xmas jazz, nhâm nhi hot chocolate, đốt nến thơm, lôi đống deko Xmas ra trang trí nhà. Rồi nghĩ mua quà ji cho mng nữa. Cũng đau đầu lắm nhg cũng vui. Năm nay thay vì mua lịch advent bán sẵn ngoài tiệm, mình mua loại có chứa 24 cái túi rùi mua 24 món quà nhỏ bỏ vào đó cho Hà My. Mỗi sáng thức dậy nó sẽ đc mở một túi và oh la surprise :))) Nói chứ mua 24 món còn đắt hơn mua một cái calendar bán sẵn. Nhg đc cái mình bít quà mình mua nó sẽ thích hơn.

Giáng Sinh năm nay là Giáng Sinh cuối ăn cùng cty rùi. Từ đợt mình nói vs sếp hè năm sau sẽ nghỉ vì chống lầy và chuyển nơi ở đi nơi khác sếp đã bép xép lại với các đồng nghiệp, lol. Mấy tuần liền nghe m��i ng rên rỉ, tsao mày lại bỏ chúng tao đi? Sao hok nói chồng mày chuyển về đây? Blah blah… Nhg cũng may là nói sớm, sếp cũng kịp tuyển ng mới để chuyển giao. Ui hè năm sau chính thức thất nghiệp hiu hiu. Mình chưa tìm việc mới nữa. Cũng hơi hoang mang, hơi sợ hãi dù với 4 năm kinh nghiệm thì h mình cũng khá vững vàng rùi. Nhg mình hok bít mình sẽ làm ji tiếp theo. Ph thì muốn mình làm ji đó nhẹ nhàng thui, home office đc. Sau này có em bé thì đỡ vất vả, hok phải bỏ việc lâu. Mình thì thấy mọi thứ khá rối. Nào là chuyển công việc, kế hoạch sinh con. Hai thứ khó đi chung đc với nhau :( Mà mình cũng đến tuổi nên sinh em bé hok thì muộn mấy :(( Ơ nhg mình vẫn muốn chơi. Mình vẫn muốn có nhìu time cho bản thân cơ ;(( Nhưng nghĩ đi nghĩ lại mình vẫn thấy may mắn vì có Ph rất chăm chỉ ở bên. Mình nhìu khi lười chảy thây chẳng mún làm ji, Ph lặng lẽ làm hết dù nhìu hôm cũng mệt. Nhìu hôm Ph đứng mổ mấy tiếng liên tiếp, đi 3 tiếng tới chỗ mình, là mình thì mệt rũ ra. Vậy mà 11h đêm mình mới xong xuôi mọi thứ, vẫn kêu thoa lotion, massage cho mình xong nói chuyện deep talk. Ulatroi!

Yêu mình cần nhiều kiên nhẫn lắm á kk. Mình sẽ thay đổi ý kiến liên tục á. Như hồi đầu Ph kêu chụp ảnh film trường cũng uki. Mình chê fake lắm. Chụp studio đơn giản đủ rồi. Tới mùa thu vs hè đi chụp ngoại cảnh bên mình đẹp hơn film trường. Sau khi thấy Vũ Garden cũng đẹp nên rủ Ph chụp Vũ Garden thì lại bị chê 🤣🤣🤣 Mình kêu thực ra em muốn chụp ngoại cảnh ở Vn á (trong khi ban đầu mình kêu chụp ngoại cảnh mất nhìu thời gian, tốn kém nên hok chụp). Nhưng hnay mình nghĩ lại thấy chụp ngoại cảnh bên này chị Thuỳ chỉ chụp quanh quanh Leipzig được. Thằng Vũ thì đi chụp kiểu kết hợp du lịch cùng tụi mình đc nhg vđe là liệu năm sau bọn mình còn nhìu ngày nghỉ phép vậy hok mà đi du lịch? Hơn nữa thằng Vũ chụp đẹp nhg nó chỉnh màu hên xui :)))) Thế là mình bảo Ph: Thực ra em rất muốn chụp kiểu phố cổ Hà Nội theo phong cách hiện đại kết hợp truyền thống. Nó đặc sắc hơn vì đậm chất Vn, mình làm kỉ niệm cũng rất đẹp. Đám cưới thì tổ chức kiểu Âu rùi. Nên nếu chụp studio hay phong cách Âu thì nó lại thường thường quá. Cuối cùng Ph bảo nếu Hà đã thích như vậy thì book chụp ngoại cảnh Hà Nội thôi. Deko Akao has lots of jobs during her career. From Singing to Broadcasting and from Books to Scripting... WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING?? SHE MADE THE TRio PIKACHU TRANSLATION EPISODE!! Yeah but since there's no one in the second part, SHE ALSO MADE THE MARSHTOMP EPISODE, THE WORST EPISODE BEFORE BLUE FETISH ACCORDING TO ZACTOSHI...

She also made another errand episode just like the Chespin one (why...?), also evolving Scorbunny. She made the Scorbunny kicking Ash's butt and Pikachu using thunderbolt but Scorbunny is dodging the attack (seems like we're living in 2000s lol) and the Allister episodes (at least it's not 2 parter but cut in half, is she inspired by the summer 2 parter??). Idk anymore. Marshtomp it is...

But why? Zactoshi renting free about this episode. They had a little choke with this one but... The jokes... During the Lapras episode in JN.

Now we come to the Alcremie epsiode. It's going to be bad. A former JN screenwriter might RUIN THE EPISODE. damn...

I remember when an Indian YouTube comment said if the Blue fetish episode is the same direction as the Marshtomp episode... It's not. It's Yuka Miyaka, who created the Alola, Alola episode.

Cute! Unboxing the Daisy Head by Dollzone! No Talking ASMR by Deko. My Dollzone Daisy head arrived and she is so CUTE. I ordered her in purple resin. The resin looks gray because the background is purple, but Daisy is light purple. It was the same with my Dream Valley Freya when I opened her against my purple background. I wonder if I should use a different color background when opening purple resin dolls. I might have to look into that for future videos. If you have watched my previous videos of my recent Resinsoul unboxing, then you might remember that I ordered a Resinsoul body to go with this Daisy head. Unfortunately, the colors do not match. I expected this so I have two options: 1) Create a fade/paint drop effect from the Dollzone purple to the Resinsoul purple. I have a few ideas for this. 2) Order a new resin-matched body from Resinsoul. I thought that if the resins did not match I would sell Shan. However, I kiiiiind of want to keep her and do something with the pinkish resin. I don't like pink, but it's a resin color I don't have in my collection so I am interested in what I can come up with painting/styling wise. I didn't have the opportunity to talk about "King of Deko", so today I'd like to talk a little bit about Saka Ao's "King of Deko"! The first round this time was to "draw an eye" on your forehead! Surprise surprise, Akita Rian made it through the first round 👏!I drew a big eye on my forehead: 👁️ I thought to myself "Good!" when I made it through the first round. Amongst the other deko competitions, I did a deko tug of war with Una!⚡️ In the end I lost.... However, my twintails were higher than usual and even though I lost, it was OK because it made me look cute! (For more details, please watch the broadcast︎☺︎)

You could barely see it at the end of the broadcast but... yeah I was going all out in the tug of war that I fell down. All the other members, staff and fans got worried about me. I'm letting everyone know, please don't worry! I'm fine! Thank you for your concern.

So, I lost in the middle of the competition, but it's so much fun to watch everyone else's deko competitions in the background… Who will be the second deco king? I'm excited (っ ॑꒳ ॑c)

Kizuna no Allele Season 2 Spoiler-Filled Review

Kizuna no Allele is an idolish music series directed by Kenichiro Komaya. Wit Studio and Signal.MD produce the series. Deko Akao wrote the show's scripts. The first season/cour aired from April to June 2023.

Reprinted from Pop Culture Maniacs and Wayback Machine. This was the sixty-third article I wrote for Pop Culture Maniacs. This post was originally published on Jan. 20, 2024.

The twelve-episode second season/cour begins with a lively opening. It continues to center around five individuals: Miracle (voiced by Ayumi Hinohara), Noelle (voiced by Yuka Nukui), Riz (voiced by Arisa Hanawa), Chris (voiced by Hikari Codama), and Quan (voiced by Rina Kawaguchi). All five go to Artist Garden (Aden) Academy. They team up as PathTLive, planning to beat their fellow students so they can enter the Virtual Grid Awards (VGA), representing the academy. However, they encounter bumps along the way.

This crops up in the first episode of this season. Miracle is impressed by another group, BRT5. At the same time, Quan's issues with self-confidence come to the surface. For one, she falsely believes that Miracle was only "being nice" to her and that she is weak, which is bringing down the group as a whole. To make matters worse, a dark-skinned character, Sofia (voiced by Yūna Kitahara), tries to recruit Chris, who growls with her, and believes Sofia is dangerous. More specifically, she sees Sofia as taking Miracle away from her, and is clearly jealous. Its one manifestation of the yuri subtext in this series. PathTLive's competitors include Zoe, Ximena, Halle, Jessie, Sarah, Ellie, and Niska, each in their own groups. This episode concludes, after Miracle's strategy is shot down and everyone wants to collaborate with artists other than Miracle, with Quan being recruited by BRT5.

Surely, there are VTuberesque post-credits scenes, intended on making the characters more personable, and a new ending sequence. Even so, Kizuna no Allele is still not my favorite, by a long shot. Despite that, it has some good parts. The series excelled in depicting Quan's struggles, insecurities, and self-doubt. She goes from not wanting to hold back the group to singing along with fellow BRT5 bandmates. She resolves to stay so she can surpass them.

At the same time, she remains friendly with Miracle in real-life. The reason for this is simple: she wants to walk by Miracle's side. She doesn't want others shining the light on her. She wants to shine the light on herself. Instead, she wants to be a "shine post" of sorts akin to characters in the Shine Post anime. Possibly, Quan is written as a positive portrayal of a trans or non binary person. This is clear, in some ways, to the viewer.

Miracle is deeply impacted by Quan's revelation of her real intentions and that the person in the atrium is herself in the real world. Miracle is upset, confused, and unsure what is going on. She meets Niska (voiced by Yūri Matsuoka), a woman who was part of BRT5, in a secluded cabin. Niska tells her that she should come back anytime she feels lost. Quan's suffering and struggling is somewhat equivalent to those having issues coming-out as queer. Quan grows a lot in the series. She goes from a shy and nervous person to a more self-confident woman fighting for a light that is hers alone. In a later episode, Halle reveals that she is pushing Quan to have more self-confidence, so she doesn't feel down about herself.

The romantic friendship between Chris and Miracle involves secret lessons and a visit to the aforementioned secret cabin. In the fifteenth episode of Kizuna no Allele, they talk with Niska about why she left BRT5. She recalls that her fellow comrades told her to focus on the group rather than being a designer. As a result, she quit the group. Her goal was to be a designer and virtual artist at the same time. In the same conversation, she argued that people don't understand each other or get along. In her view, this is because people look at how other people are different, rather than the same. Her words encourage Chris to ask Miracle to collaborate with her. However, this is a bit awkward. Noelle and Riz, good characters in their own right, are sidelined. In the end, Miracle and Chris do a music video collab.

Niska is an interesting character. She thanks Chris and Miracle after their collab, just like Jua (voiced by Nozomi Nagumo). Then she boldly declares she has "reserved" Miracle for herself, in the end of the fifteenth episode, before anyone else, including Jua, can collab with her. This confuses Miracle, who she describes as a person with potential and attractive qualities. Niska points out the latter in the sixteenth episode, saying Miracle needs someone to look out for her. Her sense of loneliness results in a scene, set on a boat in a lake (reminding me of the well-known scene in Tangled). It looks like a confession, with Miracle blushing after Niska holds her hand. Perhaps, a fan fic writer could pen a work about this.

The strong friendship between Riz and Noelle is key to the development of both characters in this season / cour. Both relax in a simulation resembling the Japanese-style inn run by her parents. It even comes with a virtual foot bath. This is perfect for Noelle, who is feeling down after seeing Quan playing with BRT5. One message from these interactions is that anxiety shouldn't be ignored. All the while, more about Noelle's backstory is explained. She believes her family see her as a "failure." She wants her family to see her true self so she can love herself. Themes such as self-empowerment are central in Kizuna no Allele.

Riz provides the right encouragement and confidence for Noelle. She pushes Noelle to make a song for her family. Noelle says that she shouldn't seek validation in numbers and argues that she cares about her family. Her mom, dad, and sister are glad. They praise her and say she is an amazing artist. This impresses Quan. She wants to practice more, until she watches the Niska-Miracle collab song, which blows her away. Later, Noelle and Riz do a collab video and train to improve their dancing. Their friendship is strong, despite some tensions.

While there might be romantic vibes between Riz and Noelle, they are more pronounced between Jua and Thea, two members of the virtual band VICONIC. In a post-credit video after the fifteenth episode, Jua says she knows Thea from the past and is friends with her in the real world. She even starts to talk about how Thea likes cute stuff. This is further emphasized in the twenty-first episode. Thea defends Jua to people who are trash talking her. She praises Jua for inspiring her dream to become a performer and calls Jua her light. Ultimately, Thea makes outfits for her and Jua. She says she wants to stand with Jua on stage as a partner rather than rival. Both say they like each other.

Other Kizuna no Allele episodes show the BRT5 members being jerks during a strange game of banana tag. In the same episode, the seventeenth in the series, Sarah's tsundere feelings toward Zoe are apparent. Again, there are some romantic vibes between them. On the other hand, none of these characters are officially in relationships. So any romance manifests in subtext and romantic friendship instead. Overall, the crisper animation, especially in non-VR dance scenes (better than season one, but still wonky), lend to a "cute girl" vibe.

By the eighteenth episode, tempers are flying between some characters. Riz is annoyed with Sofia for being too pushy after winning, and possibly cheating, in a card game. Noelle shows that she cares about Riz is going through, after Riz says she was frustrated and felt pathetic. In a manner that hints at possible romantic feelings between them, she touches Riz's chest, saying there might be some hidden data she didn't know about. Noelle says it is terrible to be frustrated. She adds that frustration gives you a chance to think about yourself and improve your skills. They bond together even more. Later, Riz teases Noelle about being a "pro".

Kizuna no Allele goes further in the nineteenth episode. There's a unit battle, Ximena crushing on Jessie, and a mysterious person in the shadows. Loneliness, lack of self-confidence, and friendship are key themes. However, this series tends to raise the stakes, but not give viewers the pay off, making such story development weak. While saying this, some elements are executed well. I liked how wishes were represented as butterflies in the twentieth episode. The series connects this with the idea that people decide their own forms and break through their shells (of sorts). This is especially the case for Miracle. She can't choose one wish out of her many wishes. On the other hand, this idea is less effective than Nanami's statement in Revolutionary Girl Utena: "if we don't crack the world's shell, we will die without ever truly being born."

Undoubtedly there were some fun recommended videos. For instance, in one video, Jua is disappointed at lack of similarities with Quan, with both loving heavy metal, rad and smashing music videos, and drama. Even so, these elements are mostly subpar. This is coupled with episodes of inconsistent length and bizarre "hip" songs. I did like the camaraderie between Zoey, Ximena, and Sofia. The latter weirdly wants to put an A.I. in her head. She echoes Tao in Carole & Tuesday. He makes the "perfect" songs with A.I., hoping they will become chart-toppers. The curiosity of Ximena in Chris was strange (she even put a tracker on her!). This mixes with a mysterious school principal and Chris praising Miracle. She says Miracle helped her understand herself and her connections to others.

The last two episodes of Kizuna no Allele are some of the best. PathTLive gets trapped in a virtual world. They can't escape thanks to Ada's efforts. She is rewriting all the network systems and has unclear motivations. This poses a dilemma for Miracle. The code of their current linkverse needs to be deleted so they can escape. Miracle she doesn't want to do that because they have so many memories there. In presumed series finale, Miracle finally agrees, after Quan offers to delete marumaru (her other avatar). She says that you can't touch or see memories, but that they don't disappear or hold you back. Instead, these memories encourage you to go forward. This optimism, however, would be negated by repressed memories.

In a strange twist, they don't get to Sofia's linkverse. They find themselves in a nether space. All four band members are separated. Each of them feels some level of trauma. After hearing music from other performers, they escape and reach their destination. As Chris puts it, this new linkverse is where they can be or do anything. Magically, and absurdly, they all claim, in a hokey way, the music is "in their hearts." The band performs a song with Love Live! vibes. Even so, songs in that franchise are better.

The episode ends with Ada worrying about "danger" of their music. The Principal is overjoyed at the possibility. In some ways, the audience gets a payoff. The characters hang out and having fun. PathTLive wins the contest and goes on stage in new outfits for an awards show. Ai watches over them like a guardian angel. Overall, the visuals of this season / cour are better than the show, as is the music and animation. Even so, the show is still mediocre. More could have been done with these characters to make the show more effective.

Critics have panned the series. They've called it strange, slop, cynical, corporate-poisoned, a showcase for virtual idols, and better than Alice Gear Aegis Expansion. Others called it a cash-in which doesn't capture VTuber culture, tiresome, and incoherent. While these criticisms have merit, the second season, more accurately, had an engaging storyline filled with intrigue and depth. Surely it isn't as strong as My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 or as compelling as Selection Project. But it had some value, especially when it comes to interpersonal relations between characters and yuri subtext.
