Every reference I could find to Fitz's love of monkeys in Marvel's Agents of Shield, organized by episode numbers

According to this article, Fitz's love for monkeys comes from Iain de Caestecker's love for monkeys. The actor joked in season one about wanting a monkey sidekick for Fitz and it made it into the show's story. Fitz even has monkey figurines on his desk in early seasons.

season 1 episode 2:

FITZ: “I would love to see a capuchin in the wild. Maybe even a yellow-tailed woolly monkey. You know, um, Peru has 32 different species of monkey.”

season 1 episode 3:

FITZ: “If we had a monkey, we could get in.” SIMMONS: “Ugh, Fitz!” FITZ: “If we had a small monkey, he could slip through the sensors and disable the fence's power source with his adorable little hands.”

FITZ: “Did you hear the deadly lasers part? Without a brave monkey—”

season 1 episode 8: 

FITZ: “Still, this is definitely the type of work a monkey could easily do.” WARD: “You're our little monkey.”

WHY IS EVERYONE SO MEAN TO DEKE SHAW

(you can, of course, like or dislike any character you want but i can also disagree with you) Deke has of course done some bad things, let’s not ignore those, but let’s consider the world he grew up in. For someone who came from that environment, he’s got a heart of gold. Not to mention he lost friends, lost both of his parents, and was thrown into a completely new world in a completely new time. Bad circumstances, of course, aren’t an excuse for you to be a terrible person, but he really isn’t one. Deke made mistakes but he turned things around. He did turn Daisy in, which was awful and gross, but she really was being so reckless with the lives of every person in the Lighthouse. Goes without saying, you shouldn’t sell someone into slavery for being inconsiderate, but in twisted future Lighthouse logic, I can see why he did it. Also, when given the opportunity to do it again, Deke decided against it and helped defeat Sinara and save everyone, before sacrificing his life to help the team of people he just met. He 100% thought he’d die. And now he’s in this brand new world and he’s so different! He’s so happy! Even alone in jail, in this crazy new environment he knows nothing about, he doesn’t mention his new friends (who are now the only people he knows) to the authorities because he doesn’t want to get them in trouble. He also helps everyone figure out where that ship is in 5x13 and you never hear “thanks deke!” or “well we owe it all to deke”. Not a single acknowledgment that Deke figured out something that even Fitzsimmons couldn’t. Not only do the characters ignore him, but they’re mean to him! All the time! So mean! Jemma Simmons is the only one who’s ever nice to him. Nana of the year. Common Bobo L. I need to get off the internet, I think I’m getting too upset and losing my mind. I hope you all have a great day. Even if you hate Deke Shaw.

Deke's First Christmas

Just something quick I wrote up while at work. I may add more chapters later.

He walked past Daisy earlier who was busy singing songs with Yoyo. She called them Christmas songs but there so so many different songs and Christmas was new thing for him.

The whole concept confused him and it made no sense at all. There was this powerful person called a Santa Claus but he sounded scary. He heard Daisy singing along to the song he heard earlier about how he knew if you were bad or good and even what you were doing all of the time!

Was this Santa an Inhuman like Daisy and Yoyo? He was still wracking his brain when he found Fitz in the lab. His grandfather would know as this was the first time he heard of Santa and all of the other things.

"Bobo, what's a Santa Claus?" He was very curious as the entire team had made an effort to put up decorations here and there. There was even this giant tree the team had set up and decorated with all sorts of things.

Tired. Fitz closed his eyes and sighed. "He's a fat man in a red suit that brings you presents on Christmas." He went back to his work without looking up at his grandson.

Deke gave Fitz a very concerned expression and walked closer. "So is he real? Is he an Inhuman? Does he really know what everyone is doing all of the time? How does he visit so many houses in one night? What are his powers even like? Have you met him? Is he nice or-"

The Scottish man turned around with his hands on his hips. "Deke! Santa isn't real."

His expression changed to that of a child, well, one that just learning Santa wasn't real. "Oh." A load of questions built up shortly after his answer. "Then where do all of the presents come from? Does that mean Frosty and his reindeer aren't real as well?"

"It's Santa Claus and his reindeer, only children believe in Santa Claus because him and Frosty aren't real."

The defeated look on Deke's face made him regret the way he just broke the news to his grandson. He sighed. "You can still celebrate Christmas, give presents and get into the festive spirit Deke. Just not everything you hear is real."

His eyes light up again. "So we can celebrate Christmas? Does someone need to dress up as Santa or maybe I could dress up as him and we can give gifts to each other? I'm going to find Nana so she can help us!" Deke disappeared before Fitz could say another word. "What have I done.."

10. Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

I think I was just completely delighted by the response to "a fluid, ever-changing, beautiful thing." It was the first fic I'd written for the AoS/Fitzsimmons fandom, plus the first fic I'd written in years. So even though I loved it for myself, and I was pretty sure @bunnykaye was going to love it based on her reactions to the snippets I shared with her as her anonymous secret Santa, I wasn't sure what else to expect. But people were so kind and so enthusiastic about it! It also got a different response from *me* in that I thought it might be the only Fitzsimmons fic I ever wrote, but instead I ended up writing several other fics in that universe!

18. What's one of your favorite lines you've written in a fic?

I still make myself laugh every time I read Deke's dialogue in chapter 3 of "What They Were Fighting For" (technically this is more than one line but whatever!): "Bobo! Just wanted to let you know I didn't forget to introduce you to Snowflake; turns out, she may have committed some—" he scrunched his face and wiggled a hand back and forth—"well, I wouldn't necessarily call them 'murders'; 'innocent until proven guilty,' right? At least in theory. But anyway, she's in lockup right now, which is a temporary arrangement, I'm sure, and then you can meet her!"
