Are you one of those lucky people to own a walk-in closet? lol lucky people. No I don’t have one of those. Is there a random object you own that has a huge personal significance? Well it’s more significant today because we had our virtual graduation this morning... so I’ll go with my graduation sash. Ever since I started university I’ve always wanted to wear my own sash in a physical ceremony so again, it sucks that our batch got affected by the pandemic. Do you use Google? For just about everything, yeah. Would you like to go swimming right now? That would be soooooo so nice. I’ve been going through old vacation photos and I really miss the beach. Can you play electric guitar? Nope.
Do you have an HDTV? My parents do. When was the last time you drank something through a straw? Around a month ago when my dad bought milk teas for me and my sister. Have you ever tried to teach yourself a different language? I didn’t teach myself per se, but I have tried my hand learning Spanish on Duolingo several times. It always comes in phases – I get passionate about learning and use the app for weeks, then it kinda burns out after a while. Right now I haven’t used it since I got sick in May. How long was your last phone call? A little longer than an hour, I think. It was pure silence though; we just wanted to hear each other’s surroundings. Do you need to repaint your nails? No, I never get it painted. Has there ever been a horoscope that came true for you? Psh. Are you a fan of industrial metal? Holy shit I feel so stupid right now. I thought this was referring to a literal kind of metal and I thought, that is such an odd thing to be a fan of...Google quickly taught me that it is in fact NOT a material for building infrastructure jdsskfjskf. Anyway, no I am not a fan. Are you one of those people who chew two pieces of gum, not one? Yeah, occasionally. I don’t like how one piece loses flavor all too quickly so I go ahead and pop two in. Do you have a wall calendar? Not since 2008. We only had a wall calendar in our old house; when we moved here we started to rely on digital clocks and our phones to tell the time. Have you ever taken the pictures from a calendar and used them as posters? I haven’t had a calendar like that, so no. I’ve done this with magazines though. Can you handle the cold? Hahaha no, I can’t. I was already in so much pain in 20ºC weather in Sagada, and I fared much worse in 12ºC Japan weather. I would still pick living in a colder climate in a heartbeat over a tropical one, though. Have you ever been to Canada? Nope. Do you believe in superstitions? Just one superstition involving my university that doubles as an inside joke, so it’s not like I take it 100% seriously. It’s a generations-old joke that’s impossible to ignore if you’re a student, so I just jumped in. When was the last time you took a taxi somewhere? It was from the airport to back home, but I forgot where we landed from. Bohol I think? Palawan? I don’t even know anymore. It was so inconvenient I begged my dad that we stop using taxis as transportation for our future trips. Would you ever join the army, airforce or navy? No. How old is the person you last kissed? 22. Is there a friend that you can always rely on to get you out of a jam? I don’t think so. When it comes down to it they all have their own different things going on and I can’t just call them whenever and expect them to come to me, and that’s okay. Generally though, I think my most reliable friends are probably Andrew and Angela. What was the most embarassing thing you've had to buy? I’ve never felt embarrassed by anything I had to buy, but it can get a little uncomfortable trying to buy napkins when my dress or pants are already soaked. I get over it quickly though, since menstruations are normal lol. Have you ever tried to balance the light switch between off and on? When I was a kid. I haven’t tried it in a while. Do you believe in ghosts / supernatural occurences? They’re fun to think about, sure, and I do enjoy watching the supernatural episodes of Buzzfeed Unsolved where they go ghost-hunting. I like to think that they somehow exist, but I still also very much maintain my skepticism at all times. Have you ever mistaken a person's gender? I’ve used the wrong pronouns accidentally but I always correct myself and apologize once I’ve noticed my blunder. What was the most expensive thing you've broken? My old iPhones. I’ve also sported a few dents on my car, but I wouldn’t say I broke the car. Has anyone texted you yet today? Not text, but online chat. We had our virtual graduation this morning so my inbox was swamped with congratulatory messages and such. Did you stay calm during the whole swine flu scare? I did, but I mean I was 11 and had no clue how serious it was supposed to be. I remember cheering when they suspended classes for a week because of a local swine flu case, so yep – still ignorant back then. Is there a light on in the room you're currently in? There is, but it isn’t turned on. Are your feet touching the floor? Nope, they’re on the bed. Have you ever been in a car accident? Mild ones, nothing too life-threatening. Do you usually make back-up plans? Yeah man I’m so anxious I always have at least plans A-C lined up in my head and ready to go whenever necessary. Can you focus well in high-stress situations? Usually. Without the aid of mascara, do you have long eyelashes? I do. I get compliments on it all the time too. I didn’t realize it was apparently a nice feature to have until more and more people pointed it out haha. Is there a kind of music you listen to that helps you release your anger? Yeah I have a playlist that’s lined up with all of my favorite loud, angry punk rock music specifically for when I’m pissed off. Are you one of those people who keep their feelings bottled up? I can, particularly whenever I feel like it’s not worth it to blow up. Is one of your friends extremely odd but you love them regardless? Not really. Aya’s pretty weird but I wouldn’t call her extremely odd. Is there anyone you dread going into public with? My mom when she’s mad. Are you a victim of writing run-on sentences? For the most part, I wouldn’t say so. If I write a run-on sentence it’s almost always in an informal setting where I’m more loose with punctuation, like if I’m chatting on IM or writing an answer on here. Still, I try to avoid them and I never do it in a formal situation. Graffiti: an art or an act of vandalism? They can be both. Some people who genuinely just want to fuck around vandalize, like how I’ve seen “Mark <3 Erica” in spray paint on public walls or some similar shit lol. But a lot of graffiti are art as well; many have important messages or symbolisms to say. Do you buy things online? I’ve done it a few times. Not regularly. I like being able to see and touch something before buying it. Are you easily frightened? I definitely am but at the same time I’m really into horror movies and serial killers and a ghost-hunting series? Hahaha it’s weird. I guess I enjoy the thrill that comes with having those interests. Do you have a favorite model? Over the years I’ve loved Elizabeth Jane Bishop, Kiko Mizuhara, Taylor Marie Hill, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and (controversial pick!) Kendall Jenner. Have you ever watched Titanic? So many times. Honestly, one of my favorites. What's your current facebook display picture of? It’s my official graduation photo wearing my graduation sash! :) I finally changed it last Friday after I got the email saying I’m on the list of graduates. How about your IM display picture? My main IM is my Messenger, which also uses my Facebook photo. Is there anyone whose hair you envy? Gabie’s for one. Hers is really smooth and silky and wavy. Would you act in a movie if it offered a role? If I was going to be a mostly unseen extra in a blockbuster film and still be paid like $600 for it, then I don’t see why I wouldn’t take it. Does speaking in front of people make you nervous? Only if there’s going to be an unscripted aspect to it that’ll make me have to come up with answers on the spot, like miting de avances or thesis defense. If I have a script or even just a general gist of what I want to say, I have no problem improvising and speaking in front of a crowd. Can you read in a moving vehicle or does it make you sick? It makes me sick but it hasn’t stopped me before. Have you ever dated someone who was extremely shy? I’m the extremely shy person... Or have you dated someone who took things too fast? I felt that way with Gab at first when she wanted to have sex like two months after we started dating, though I was scared mainly because it was going to be my first time and I wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Now that I’m a little older, two months seems like a healthy amount of time. Does the idea of driving 220 mph sound exciting to you? Sounds terrifying. It could be fun, but only if we’re in the middle of nowhere where there’s loads of space to go that fast and no chance of crashing. Everyone has a weakness, what's yours? Food. Do you or anyone you know have an account on Deviantart? I had classmates in high school who had accounts but I’m not sure if they still have it, or if Deviantart is even still as active as I knew it to be. Thoughts on the Dunkin Donut commercial that says "America runs on Dunkin'"? It’s a creative slogan but if I was American I wouldn’t want a doughnut place claiming to represent my country. It cute though. Do you bother buying movies on DVD anymore or do you just download them? I watch them on Netflix, which is still technically like buying them since we pay for the subscription anyway. Do you listen to Daughtry? No. Do you get your eyebrows waxed? I don’t. Waxing looks so painful to me. How do you take your coffee? Lots of creamer or milk, a little sugar. I like trying out different coffees, but when I’m simply relaxing I do want my coffee as least bitter as possible. If you have a dog, what breed is it? I have an aspin mix, though we never figured out what Kimi’s other half is. And I also have a beagle. Have you found someone who makes you unconditionally happy? I don’t know if 'unconditionally’ is possible but yes, I do have people who make me very happy. Do you have a friend who always seems to be dying their hair? Not anymore. Jo used to dye her hair like every month though and she must have been able to go through the entire rainbow. She looked sooo good in each of the colors. Would you swap names with a friend? I love all their names but I don’t see why that would be necessary. Do you plan on going to university? I did. I graduated today. Guys who wear muscle shirts, yes or no? Idk man, they can wear whatever they want. Are you a fan of Carrie Underwood? No. I liked some of her singles when I was younger, but I’m not a fan in that I have her albums and know her lesser-known songs. Do you make playlists on iTunes? I used to, when I still used iTunes. I make playlists on Spotify now. Have you ever forgotten someone's birthday? I don’t think so. Are you scared of being left behind? Yessir. I’m super competitive, so I hate the feeling. Do you remember your last dream? No. I’m really bad at remembering them unless they’re nightmares or insanely strange. I do know that I dreamt while we were watching mass earlier on the television though, hahaha. Do you know someone who is an obsessed Star Wars fan? So many people in my circle are. Is politics something you don't care about? No. If there’s anything I give tons of fucks about, it’s that. What's a movie/tvshow/book/series that is way overrated? I’ll go with the first things I thought of...in that order: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before; Stranger Things (it’s good, but not as good as people hyped it to be); I don’t really read anymore; and what do you mean by series? Just realized I only gave 2 out of 4 answers lol oh well. Do you think Barbie presents an unhealthy image to young girls? I don’t like how its physical features are still unrealistic; but I appreciate their attempts at diversity. I can’t say it was upsetting seeing a Filipino-themed Barbie :) Is there a pet that you desperately want? All I ever wanted were dogs, and now I’ve got two of them. Would you ever get your bellybutton pierced? Nope. Are you musically talented? Hahahahaha Have you ever shot a gun? Not a real one, so no. Athenna’s dad had this practice gun he used for target practice (duh) and I messed with that a few times. Do you have a friend that always changes their mind last second? That’s Gabie. She’s lucky she’s my girlfriend and that I love her, because it’s actually a big pet peeve of mine. Are you not afraid to voice your opinion? Yup. The only time I don’t say it out loud is if it’s unnecessary and if it’s going to be simply disrespectful. An example would be when my uncle offered to make me a carrot cake for my grad gift, and I just said yes because it was already generous enough for him to offer me a free cake when he runs a food business. In reality it’s not my favorite cake at all; it wouldn’t even be in my top 20. Are you one of those people who are always pushing their limits? Yes, I definitely overwork myself to the point of exhaustion and burnout. But I honestly prefer doing things and being busy than sitting around. Is there a word that you will always find humorous? Bubbling. Because Drake and Josh.
Do you frown upon immature people? Typically. Have you ever slipped on ice and hurt yourself? This may have happened to me once or twice when I was still regularly visiting the ice skating rink at the mall. People were always super nice and helped me get up, though. Do you try to have an intimidating impression? I don’t try. Apparently it’s naturally the vibe I give off. Living in the big city or chilling in the country? BIG CITY. Always the big city. I’ve gone to the country/province so many times; I already know what it’s like there. I’ll always prefer a noisy city. No one seems to obey the legal drinking age, do they? Hahahaha a lot seem not to. I know so many high school kids who’ve had a drink before turning 18. Do you like your country's flag? Sure. I like that we can switch up the colors depending on if we’re at war or not. Have you ever made a totally amazing snow fort? I’ve never even seen snow before. Do you use Bounty Paper Towels? No. Are you the one usually behind the camera or the one in the picture? BEHIND If you get married, will you have a traditional wedding? Traditional, yes. Religious, no. Do you feel you’re slowly losing one of your friends? No. But now that I’m no longer in school, I really hope I’ll continue to be friends with my orgmates. I’ll certainly keep in touch as much as I can. If you draw, what's one thing you always have trouble with? Everything about it. Is there someone you know moving away any time soon? No. I do know my friend’s sister had already moved and started her new job in California, but when the pandemic started she had to go back here. This virus is just ruining so many great things for everyone, man... Allergic to anything? Nope. How many cars have you owned? Zero. I drive one; can’t say I own it because my parents bought it. What are you going to do after this? Maybe take another survey.

hi everyone!! happy holidays!! i hope you’re all spending time with your family or friends~ i wanted to get this up before christmas but i was caught up with too much aha please accept this as a late christmas present <3
Word Count: 3,654
Rating: PG-13
Warning: one (1) swear word [shocking i know]
lets winwin!
----------------------------------
A white letter with gorgeous red lettering and a prestigious gold stamp changes your life.
Coming home that Thursday afternoon from school and holding your acceptance letter made you anticipate your graduation. Things were coming along so quickly you hadn’t even noticed how summer flew by and you were on your way to Seoul, dancing for The Korean National Ballet.
Sitting in your small dorm, you unpacked quickly and ran to the window, peering out at the city around you. Excitement filled up in your stomach, only to disintegrate when your calendar clearly marks that your evaluation day was tomorrow. Huffing and flopping on your bed, you started to realize how intense of a situation you’re in.
You’re overseas in a country you’ve never been to before! Barely being able to speak the language, the only thing you have is your dancing abilities. You would have to work as hard—no, even harder than the other students to qualify and dance for the theatre. The gravity of your situation slowly sets in while your anxieties rise and you groan.
“This sucks!” You yell into your room, directing it to no one.
The next morning you, suffering from jet lag, hurriedly burst into the studio, still arranging your hair and not even having properly stuffing your bag with everything you need for dance.
Multiple dancers turn their head to you, some scoffing and some smirking. Either they saw you as pathetic already or someone to mock. .
Placing down your backpack, you grab your pointe shoes and toe cap. Fear for your feet creeps into your body as you dig through your bag, checking every pocket.
“No, no, no… Where’s my toe spacer?!”
“Do you need one?” A voice quips and you whip your head to them. A boy with brown short hair and a slight accent stands above you, holding out a new toe spacer.
“Thank you so much! I really do appreciate it.” You grin and he sits down besides you.
As you prepare your feet, Ten questions you, “We don’t get many foreigners. Are you new?”
Nodding and standing up, testing your pointe shoes, you respond, “Yes. I’m a first year.”
“I’m Ten! I’m a second year. Last year, I was The Beast from Beauty and the Beast!”
You awe in amazement and respond back with your name. The two of you chat for a while until everyone is called into the huge, modern dance room. You nervously shift around until the wooden door opens with a man holding the door. Your shoulders tighten at the sudden sound and you keep your best posture, wanting to make a good impression on your new instructor.
A creaking sound gradually grows louder and louder. People seem to be startled and they whisper in a tongue you don’t understand. Turning to Ten for assistance, he keeps his eyes front to the mirror.
First, you see legs and then wheels. A man with dark muddy brown hair and sharp eyes arrives in the room, and he slowly moves himself over to the center of the room. Adjusting himself accordingly, he booms with a loud voice.
“Welcome.”
A wave of relief washes over the students but you wonder who this instructor is.
And not to be noisy, but what happened to his legs?
He looks incredibly intimidating and with a huge figure, it drives anxiety up to your throat. Aren’t wheelchairs supposed to make you look small?
“Let’s take thirty minutes to stretch. You may talk quietly among yourselves.”
With that, you immediately rush to Ten’s side and while in a lunging position, you ask, “Who is he?”
“Dong Sicheng. We call him Winwin.”
“Is he nice?” You whisper, falling into the splits and remembering to point your toes.
“Nah. He’s kind of a prick but he has the right to be. He’s a good instructor and he pushes you to your limit. He truly makes you a better ballet dancer.” Ten admits, going into a backbend.
“So what happened to him? I mean his legs of course.”
Ten sputters and collapses into the ground, clearly shocked by the audacity of your question. “How am I supposed to know?”
Soon your time to stretch was over and the terrifying instructor thought it would be best to go across the floor to evaluate where some people are at.
“Let’s do a pirouette, no—make it five pirouettes. I want a grand jeté and finally a glissade.”
A slow melody of piano music fills your ears and the taps of pointe shoes hitting the floor have your head spin in anxiety.
Soon enough it was your turn and you listen carefully for the counts to start.
“5, 6, 7, 8–“
Your body tenses and relaxes all at the same moment as you become one with the music. Coming all the way from your home is scary, especially since there’s a chance that you might not end up achieving your goals. Yet, you’re here for a reason. They accepted you and you were going to shock everyone.
At the end of your glissade, you turn to go to the end of the line. Suddenly, a loud voice barks up, “Point your toes on that jeté or I’ll make you do fifty more.”
Turning your head around from hearing the sudden English, you meet eyes with Winwin and you swear you could see the flash of a smirk. Feeling your face flush red, you hide your face by staring at the wall. Ten gives you a small pat on the back while you hear snickers fill the room.
You were the first one to be called out that day.
After class, you had to go to your mandatory core classes and you were completely swamped with work.
“I can’t believe I have to write an essay already!” You exclaim, falling back into your bed and pushing your laptop aside.
“Yeah, yeah. That’s college for you.” Ten mutters, slurping loudly as he finishes his ramen. “Can you buy me another one of these?”
“Hell no.” You respond, not even glancing at him until he shrieks.
“Oh my god! The ballet this semester was announced! We’re doing Cinderella!”
Pushing yourself off your bed and rushing over to Ten’s side, you steal his phone and scroll a bit until you see the English text.
‘We are proud to announce this semester’s ballet, Cinderella! With the success of Beauty and the Beast, we knew we had to perform another Disney ballet. More information will be coming soon. Thank you.’
Ten grabs his phone back and rolls his eyes about how rude you are.
“Ten, I have to audition! I mean, it’s Cinderella! My dream was to be her while I was growing up.” You sigh happily, flopping back into your bed.
Ten shoots you a grin, “Go for it. I’m cheering you on!”
If you weren’t determined before, you were definitely more determined now. You arrived an hour early to class and after your core classes, you would go back for another two hours to practice. It was tiring, especially trying to keep your grades up, but you loved every second of it. It was lonely at times but with the support of Ten and Taeyong (a third year and a new friend!), you felt like anything was possible.
“I’ve spent at least fifty dollars on ice this month. Most of my money goes to my ballet supplies!”
Ten nods, understanding your situation completely and Taeyong laughs.
“Are you auditioning for Cinderella? Auditions are in a month.” Taeyong asks as he points and flexes his toes.
Sighing loudly and fiddling with your ribbons, you reply, “I would love to. I don’t think I’m in condition to though.”
Taeyong pats your back as an attempt to comfort you but immediately removes his hand as Winwin announces class will begin. Taking a gulp, you mentally prepare yourself for hell.
A rough four hours later, class finally was coming to an end. You were huffing and panting loudly as Winwin finishes his notes for the class. Not paying attention and playing with your hair, the sound of your name scares you and perks your head to turn to your instructor.
“{Y/N}, I want to speak to you after class.”
You could practically feel the mockery drifting in the air from your peers. Nodding a quick ‘yes,’ you grab your bag and slip off your shoes in the locker room. Outside, Ten and Taeyong were waiting for you and offered small smiles of condolence.
“Sorry, but you’re dead.”
Taeyong punches Ten in the arm and pushes him aside.
“Don’t listen to him. I’m sure it’s nothing. Maybe it’s about you playing with your hair!”
Weakly smiling back and waving at them, you watch their figures slowly disappear and you mentally hype yourself up to face the one and only, Winwin.
The door creaks open just like how it did on your first day and you find Winwin on his phone.
“Pardon me…” You excuse yourself in Korean but cringe afterwords at your poor pronunciation.
“Don’t try speaking Korean. I can speak English just fine.”
You gulp and feel your body heat up instantly. A few minutes ago you were just dancing in this room and it has never felt this hot until right now. Quietly praying to whoever is out there, you ask that this session of reprimands will end soon.
Winwin finally looks up from his phone and stares at you. “I overheard you talking to your friends about the Cinderella audition. It’s true you want to audition, right?”
“Yes, it’s always been my dream.” You chose your words carefully. Obviously you were treading in deep water, you didn’t want to say something that might offend him.
“Listen, don’t take this personally, but I can help you with auditioning. However, that means more practices and I suppose you can call ‘brutal’ with my methods. Yet this is all up to you. I don’t make final decisions for anyone.”
A blank stare set upon your face and all your brain could think about is shock. Is he really offering this proposal to you? Just as equally important, why you?
You endure what seems like an eternity to you when you finally make a decision. All you hope now is that you won’t regret it.
“I would be grateful if you helped me.”
After that, weeks of grueling practice came. It felt like all you did was go to practice, school, private lessons, study, and maybe sleep while on the bus. The routine was brutal but you knew exactly what you were getting into when you agreed. Yet being burnt out was bound to come.
Eventually that breakdown did come and it happened on a Friday night. Ten and Taeyong wanted to go out and get a few drinks since they haven’t seen you outside of practice. However, you politely declined as you knew you had your private lessons. Failing an exam the day before also put a damper on your moods. You couldn’t risk ruining their night out.
“You need to extend your body more. I need to see good posture.” Winwin barked out orders, watching you intensely from his wheelchair. After you had failed to do what he wanted, he angrily scribbled down notes which would later translate into a workout punishment.
Everything came crashing down quite literally as your attitude spin caught you off guard and made you almost trip while coming out of it.
“What the—Hey, are you alright?”
You sat on the ground, bringing your knees up to your head almost in a cradle position. A loud sob shakes your body and streams of tears soon coat your face.
It was all too much—Winwin, your family questioning about your grades, the stress of being in a new country, the lack of friends. All you wanted to do was go back home where you knew everything would be safe.
The groans of the wheelchair snapped you out of your self-pity party and you stood up once again, brushing away stray tears and breathing harshly to calm yourself down.
“Hey,” a soft voice calls out, “lean down.”
You glance towards Winwin and he has an unreadable expression on his face. His arms are extended towards you and you nearly jump in them. At this point, you don’t care who is hugging you. You craved affection and if Winwin was offering you some, you were taking the opportunity.
Sobs filled the now quiet dance room and Winwin could feel the sadness flowing through your body. He felt every bit of loneliness and anxiety. Before this, he had never understood why you seemed so tired and scared. He understood it all the second you poured out your feelings. Hating his poor conversation skills, he wish he could reach out and offer words of encouragement yet nothing seems to come out.
On that lonely Friday night, he canceled your lesson and rubbed your back as you expressed everything you had been holding back. More importantly, you finally got some well deserved rest after that night.
Soon enough, Saturday came and you were already at the studio bright and early. Tying your ribbons of your shoes and hearing two voices, you raise your head and wave to Winwin as he walks in. He held a white bag on his lap and just as you were about to start your audition routine, he abruptly stopped you.
“Wait, I haven’t eaten breakfast yet.”
Nodding, you continue to stretch in silence.
“Have you eaten?” Winwin asks, taking a bite out of a banana.
Shaking your head no, you reply, “No. I usually don’t have time to eat breakfast in the morning.”
Suddenly, a banana is thrown at your head, barely missing you.
“What the hell Winwin?” You fume at him, grabbing the banana and threatening to throw it back at him.
He laughs, smiling joyfully. “Eat up. You need it.”
Your body goes hot and you give him a small smile. You wouldn’t mind if you heard that laugh again.
A new routine was formed from your old boring one. You would come into private lessons and Winwin would feed you. Slowly, your relationship changed. It wasn’t an instructor and a student anymore, but a genuine friendship. Soon enough you discovered that he is two years older than you, adding fuel to your growing affection towards him. The desire of you wanting to know him better grew and you wanted to become greedy with him.
You would achieve your desires as the two of you became closer friends. After doing a continuous amount of fouettes, Winwin called you over for a break.
Slumping down beside him and drinking out of your water bottle, a container of food gets shoved in your face.
“Winwinie, I can feed myself you know!” You whine, still opening the container and eating the gimbap.
“Oh, I know you can. I just never see it.” He teases.
The two of you banter for a while, joking around with each other and soon forgetting ballet.
“Winwinie, you know so much about me, but I wanna learn more about you.” You turn over to see his reaction and his mouth is slightly agaped, shocked by the sudden confession. The tips of his ears turn pink, steadily spreading to his cheeks as well. Deep down inside, you want to just kiss his cheeks.
“W-Well, I’m actually from China. I came to Korea to study ballet and I fell in love with it. I’ve been here ever since I was in high school. My parents gave up a lot for me to be here.” He confesses, playing with his fingers.
“Ahhh, I’ve always wanted to visit China.” You remark, trying to comfort him in the smallest way possible.
He gives you a sad smile, “Yes, I miss my home all the time. Sometimes, I wish I could just quit and be with my loved ones.”
You place a hand on his, rubbing the back of his hand. “I know it’s tough. We need to achieve our dreams though.”
He nods and bites his tongue, looking spiteful. “I can’t though. Not anymore.”
You take a peep at his wheelchair and your mind begs you to ask what happened. Manners are important and you stay quiet, continuous rubbing circles into his hand.
“I can never dance again. All because of a car accident.”
How does one comprehend such a statement? Your heart tries to reject how sad he feels, but it only makes it hurt more. Winwin trembles and you look up into his glossy eyes. Reaching a thumb up, you brush away a tear that had fallen.
He is the one pulling you into a hug now, so similar to that Friday night. He tells you all his worries and fears while you comfort him.
The relationship between Winwin and you changes drastically. Ten and Taeyong even notice it the second they walk into practice on Monday morning.
“Why does Winwin keep staring at you?” Ten whispers, almost shooting eye-dangers into him.
You push his shoulder, “Oh my god Ten, he’s just looking. It’s nothing.”
Taeyong chuckles and rolls his eyes. “Just nothing my ass.”
With a ‘hmph,’ you move to a new location to stretch until Taeyong and Ten came crawling back and apologizing five minutes later.
After class, Winwin had a lecture about how important this week was, especially for those auditioning for Cinderella. Every time he mentioned the ballet, you felt like puking. You’ve been training for so long, but you were terrified that there would be no pay off.
Winwin pushed you harder than ever that week and every ounce of his kindness had disappeared. Once was his soft eyes now became sharp, pointing out every flaw you had made. Your heart felt torn apart. Every time you tried to joke with him, he brushed you off stating that you needed to work. You even once tried hugging him after a lesson but he only responded by pushing you away seconds later. Had you really been imagining Winwin being so caring towards you?
With all the heartache you’ve experienced this week, you channeled that into your audition. You felt every single emotion you’ve felt while in Korea and let it influence your performance. Imagining all the love and sadness and anxiety, you gave it your all. Walking out of the audition room lifted so many worries off your back, but you still felt numb towards it all.
Nothing feels right because of Winwin.
Saturday came and you spent the entire day in bed, too confused and tired to do anything else. You were playing a game on your phone until you received a text from Ten. Growling and almost throwing your phone, you check what must’ve been so important.
[Ten]
The results are out for Cinderella! I’m the Jester hehe~ Tell me what you got too!
Your heart rate suddenly speeds up when you read the text and you rush to your computer. Logging into your school’s site, your eyes skip around to the cast list. Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath, you read off the first name.
{Y/L/N} {Y/N} - Cinderella
You nearly faint. Jumping up from your seat and texting all your friends and family, you start wilding dancing in your room. Excitement couldn’t explain how happy you felt at that moment. Without thinking, you text Winwin.
[you]
r u at the studio?
[Winwinie]
yes, why?
[you]
wait there, ill be there in a few!!!
You grabbed the nearest and cleanest thing around you and slipped in on. Dashing out to the bus stop, you couldn’t hold in your excitement. You were practically bouncing the entire ride.
As soon as it was your stop, you ran to the studio and bursted into the room.
“Winwin! I got it! I got Cinderella!” You yell, approaching him and giving him a wide smile.
His eyes light up the second you state that and he pulls you into a hug, dragging you down a bit as well.
“I’m so proud of you.” He breathes, hugging tighter.
You pull away and smile fondly. “Thank you for all your training.”
He blushes, “I-It’s not that big of a deal. Besides, you achieved your dream!”
You smile and hold his hand. “How about I help you achieve yours?”
You’ve been developing a plan for quite some time to help Winwin achieve his dream. Confusion spreads on his face and he replies, “How? I can’t use my legs.”
“Who said we have to use legs in dance?”
With that, you turn on your phone to a melodic piano piece. Grabbing his hands, the two of you gently sway. You only let go to turn him in a spin.
Even though it was a small gesture, the look on Winwin’s face made it so memorable. He was grinning the entire time, laughing as you spun him and tried to dip him.
As the music slowed down, you spoke up. “Why did you push me away his week?”
He sighs and squeezes your hand. “I wanted you to do well. You’re so similar to me, it’s terrifying. I don’t want you to destroy yourself over failing to achieve your goal. I would never want that to happen to you.”
You’re silent at this. No words could explain how much you appreciated Winwin. However, actions could.
You bent down and kissed his cheek. Contrary to what has previously happened, his face didn’t heat up.
He gently grabs your chin and pulls you closely to his face. Chuckling, he leans in and kisses you. There weren’t any fireworks or any bubbly feeling in your chest. You just felt warm. It felt like home and all your worries washed away for good. He nibbles on your bottom lip teasingly and you push him away, giggling right after.
“You missed my lips the first time.”
“Maybe I won’t miss the second time.”

Crowbar Nurse Chapter 2 — A Gun, A (Zombie!) Virus, and an Out of Place Hottie
“Argh, Sera this time?! This isn’t some sort of web novel! What is happening in here?!”
Barrelling into the room was an unbelievably handsome guy. By “unbelievable”, I meant it quite literally. He was unrealistically handsome.
“… huh? Kiryū?!”
I was just as shocked seeing him as he was seeing me… that's because he’s definitely a fictional character.
Kiryū Sōichirō. The most popular character from the hit dating sim released in 2014 on social media platforms, Rainbow Dreams High School☆Fantasia.
His dark brown eyes, black hair, and a soft smile gives off a clean-cut look. When combined with his calm demeanor, it made for a perfect young mastermind character like him. Kiryū would act as your mentor, guiding the player along with hints and tips. Because he helps the player perhaps a little too much, he would always come out on top of the character popularity rankings.
… but he was a secret unlockable love interest.
In other words, Kiryū is only unlocked after clearing all other routes first.
Players would begrudgingly clear characters they weren’t interested in to finally get the chance to date him… well, not that this really matters though.
“Hey, stop spacing out! I’ll explain everything later, but first, we gotta shake off these zombies!”
Kiryū lifted me up by the shoulders right as he shouted at me. He sure is strong in real life, I thought to myself.
“Can you move?” “Mm… I’m really sleepy, so… maybe?” “You shoulda gone to bed earlier last night! Oh, whatever, just hide behind me!” “Uh… okay!
I was shocked when I first saw him, but now I was stunned at how he spoke to me. It was completely wrong. The Kiryū I knew was soft-spoken and perceptive. But this guy was snappy, if not brusque.
Weird. It’s as if it were someone else in Kiryū’s body…
—hmm?
—wait, zombies?
“… whaaaaaaaat?!”
Just as I screamed out loud, Kiryū grabbed a crowbar lying nearby and then struck a zombie with it.
Blood splattered down onto the ground… along with various other fluids.
A single swing of the crowbar was enough to silent any groaning zombie. He then kicked the dead-again zombies aside to create a path before forcefully grabbing my wrist and dashing through the door.
—his hand was so warm.
I had questioned whether this Kiryū was a figment of my imagination, but the warmth of his hand seemed to prove otherwise. And even though I realized I was in a dire situation, his warmth was comforting.
He seems so used to fighting. Wait, was Kiryū a bad boy-type character?
We ran through the door together as I questioned my memory of the game. The familiar nurses’ station should be just on the other side… except, it wasn’t. Instead, my eyes opened wide as I found an unfamiliar alley in a busy, cloudy part of town.
…! No, I recognize this! I’ve been here before!
“—run!”
He grabbed my wrist and started running before I even had a chance to reply.
“H-Hold on!”
I hadn’t been eating or sleeping nearly enough. I might actually die if I suddenly broke into a full sprint…! Or so I thought, but I actually felt quite agile.
… huh?
In fact, I felt great running. It’s as if the exhaustion I felt until were but mere lies.
Strange… I don’t feel tired at all. No way I’ve had enough sleep to feel this good…
That’s so weird. Was I in the afterlife? I confusedly scanned my surroundings while running.
A narrow alleyway. Worn-out walls.
The buildings are so decrepit, they made me wonder whether they were still structurally sound.
Countless air conditioning units and broken gutters were dangling on the side of them.
I instinctively looked over my shoulder and realized that there were zombies staggering—or rather, scurrying—and chasing us. It probably wouldn’t take more than ten seconds for them to catch up to me if I had stopped running right now.
No surprise that one hit with the crowbar wasn’t enough to take them down… we probably have to do something about them though…
Even though I still didn’t have any idea of what was going on, I knew that we definitely didn’t have the time to sit and think unless we killed the zombies first. I looked at my surroundings once more as I tried to calm myself down.
—I have definitely been here before.
I… remember seeing this area on a map before.
… we’re in a game…
Realizing the truth sent shivers down my spine. The streets and the area around it were just how I remembered… we’re in a level of Dead Man’s Conflict 3. The 1998 game was a Japanese classic in which the player has to slay hordes of zombies while trying to escape from the infected Confi City.
“Downtown”.
This was the first stage of Dead Man’s Conflict 3. The graphics look a lot better, but otherwise it was the same. The door to Uptown should be just a little farther ahead.
The roads here twist and turn like a maze. It sure makes it difficult for beginners…
I remember how tough it was all those years ago where I would be lost in these streets while being chased by zombies and ultimately being eaten over and over and over again. But perhaps thanks to that, the layout of this town had been deeply burned into my memory…
… hmm? Hey, hold on, you can’t go this way…
I blinked at the path before me. The road ahead splits into three… and the middle path that Kiryū headed towards was the wrong way. I panicked and yanked at his hand to stop him.
“—whoa, hey! What’s wrong?!”
He looked down at me in confusion.
“We gotta hurry, or else the zombies—” “That way is a dead end, my dea—err, Kiryū!” “What?!” “I-It… it’s this way!”
I pulled Kiryū towards the left path as I told him which way we should go.
“Wha—but isn’t that way a dead end? I can’t help but feel we shouldn’t go where it’s clearly marked ‘KEEP OUT’, y’know…?” “Normally, it’s only open after you complete the second week in game! We’ll… rip through the tape!” “What?! Rip through it?!”
If this were a game then there would be no way to get past the black and yellow tape with “KEEP OUT” written in big, Helvetica letters. This path is locked until after the second week is finished. The tape doesn’t budge no matter how much the player cuts or runs into it.
“Hyaaa!”
But seeing how we’re not bound by the rules that the protagonist should be, I easily torn down the tape.
“Just who are…”
Kiryū blankly stared at me but now’s not the time to care about that. It took me five seconds to take down the tape before we could hurry on through.
—I haven’t touched a single game in this past six months.
All I did after getting home was either check social media or pass out. But… my body remembered. Dead Man’s Conflict 3 is second nature to me.
“But Sera, we can’t open windows in this world.” “Windows are another story!”
A large window was on the wall right beside us. I hooked my fingers on the frame and pulled on it, but it did no more than jostling it. It’s a little weird how he addressed me as “Sera”, but that’s not important right now. Neither pushing nor pulling the window had any effect so I resorted to borrowing Kiryū’s crowbar and smashed away at the window. … crowbars are heavier than I imagined.
“Aaaaargh!” “… you some sort of runaway gorilla or something…?
I ignored Kiryū’s comment on how I’m swinging at the window. I sure am glad to have played all these zombie games and have researched all the strategies. Having been swamped by work for the past half year, the gamer didn't get to unleash all the knowledge I stored for future use, until now!
“Can we really go through this?!” “Yes, we can! Just be careful of the broken glass!”
We crawled through the window and into the room, and if my memory serves me right… there it was! The corpse of an old man (which I couldn’t smell in a game unlike now) sat on a dining chair and in his hand was his assault rifle with unlimited ammo!
It tough enough to pry it out of his hand, but the old man suddenly turned into a zombie as well. I delivered a swift kick to his head before sending bullet in his brain. It was an instant kill. It’s not like I did it because I’m actually that savage in real life. The protagonist had to do the same thing else he gets eaten by the old man.
… I never knew rifles were this heavy either.
“Tch, still alive, huh? Why don't you stay dead already!” “… what in the world are you…”
Kiryū was dumbfounded after seeing me like that and muttered to himself again, but I didn’t have the time to respond. The zombies should have almost caught up to us by now.
“… crap! The damn zombies are here already!”
I flashed a smirk just as he shrieked out. Just as I expected, the zombies were here.
“Don’t worry… the old man’s dead for good but let me clean up the rest of them!”
My skirt fluttered as I whipped around. The zombies came crawling and lumbering to meet my machine gun.
—blam blam blam!
The sound of gunfire masked the sound of the zombie falling over after being shot between the eyes. Not only did I flip the fire selector switch to burst, but by also going for headshots, I should get double the points. I acquire my next target and fired. And at the next zombie. And the next one…
“Just what kind of creature is she…?”
Kiryū seemed to be taken aback at how casually I’m slaying these zombies. He stood there with a with his mouth wide open.
“You can’t hold back when dealing with zombies, Kiryū. They’re tougher than you might think. They will pretend they’re dead and then ambush when you’re not expecting it… they’re sneaky bastards, eh?!”
I kicked each zombie as I said that to make sure none of them were feigning death.
“When the zombies in this game don’t bleed after keeling over, that means they’re just faking it. Then when you walk close to them, they’ll get you and bite your legs. Be careful about that, okay?”
Right after I felt like I cleared this area, I came back to my senses.
“…”
Then, Kiryū—who was standing there speechless—and I looked at each other.
“…” “…” “… umm, uhh, Kiryū! We’re good now! We’re safe!”
Kiryū could only fake a smile as he stared wide eyed at me as I switched back from the gamer me to being a proper human being.
■This isn’t some sort of web novel!
Web novels are novels which authors post online on dedicated forums or personal websites. Many authors do not have editors to help and instead tend to upload whatever they scribble down. But because of that, there are many elements in their writing which may represent the authors' desires and frustrations. Some may be off-putting, but many readers appreciate web novels for that very reason (and of course, many don't). When Kiryū mentioned to "web novels", he alluded to the popular theme of everyday characters being transported into game worlds for reasons unknown.

[ Masterlist ] [ Soulmate!AU Masterpost ] [ Upcoming Stories ]
- goodnightkisseu’s admin / ashley <3
The days leading up to and following your exams were rather quiet. As expected, you also didn’t hear anything from your admirer as he was likely prepping for exams, just like you and everyone else. Somi was rather busy so you honestly hadn’t seen her much. Daehwi swung by your place to study on days when he wasn’t completely swamped with group activities or his new friends. Other than that, exam prep had been quiet… which was good as your exams weren’t particularly easy. You were definitely worn out, but somehow, you couldn’t really explain it, your admirer’s words of encouragement from before had really helped. They gave you that little boost in energy when you needed it, and you were honestly grateful.
It wasn’t until about a week later that you heard from your admirer again. You had been excited, maybe a little too much, to see that simple little envelope sitting on your desk. Feeling giddy, you immediately went over and sat yourself down, opening it up and scanning the contents. However, you weren’t quite ready for what it said. You gently bit your lip as you read the words again. You weren’t expecting this from him.
‘It’s a so long since I last wrote to you. It’s been almost two weeks now, right? I’m sorry I couldn’t write something to you sooner. I do hope that your exams went well. I felt like they were harder this time than they were in the past, but hopefully, you felt like they were okay. I have faith that you did well!
Honestly, the reason why this note took so long to get to you, was because I wasn’t entirely sure how to phrase what I plan to say next. It’s something very important and I don’t want to make you nervous by saying it. I couldn’t think of a better way to say this though, so I just had to go for it. I’ve confessed to you in the beginning that I had really liked you, but that I was too shy to approach you. However, lately, I feel like… I want to be more to you. I want to let you know who I am because… I’m your soulmate. I’ve known for about four months now but I didn’t know how to tell you. I was worried what you would think if I started off with that…
I know that you’re probably hesitant because it’s weird for me to just dump all this information on you at once, and in a written note, no less, but if you’re up for it, this Saturday, at 6pm, please meet me at the playground near school. I’ll understand if you don’t show up, but… I would love it if you did…’
- Your secret admirer and soulmate
At first you thought that your admirer was joking, but with each successive scan of his letter, you felt more apprehensive. These were just supposed to be sweet little notes of encouragement. The two of you were never supposed to actually meet. And now he was saying he was your soulmate too? There was honestly no way for you to know if he were really your soulmate or not. What if someone was just playing a really mean prank on you? Part of you hoped that wasn’t the case. Everyone at this school seemed nice enough, but you could never be sure. He was right. It was all too much to take in at once. Your brain was running a mile a minute just trying to understand it all.
Though, truth be told, even though you were struggling to keep up with every leap that your brain made, you were also a romantic at heart. You wanted to find ‘the one’ and live that happily ever after that everyone talked about it. Sure, not everyone found their soulmate, but you wanted to… and almost felt like… you needed to, even at your young age. Still you knew that it wasn’t going to be easy. Whenever you would read the words that were inscribed on your wrist, you couldn’t help but sigh.
‘You’re new here so let me show you around.’
In theory this sounded like a very specific line. It should have been easy to find your soulmate. However, because you moved around so much for your father’s job, you heard it… a lot. Someone would always say this exact thing to you, and you kind of lost hope that you’d ever meet your soulmate. Honestly you felt like the words on your wrist should have just said, ‘hi, how are you?’ and that would have been easier. So… how high were the chances that your admirer was ‘the one?’
A heavy sigh left your lips as your ran your fingers through your hair, trying to figure out what your next course of action should be. Would it be a good idea to meet up? You weren’t comfortable with the idea at. You did want to know who he was, but at the same time, you wanted to find out in the confines of the school, where it felt safe. The playground was close and relatively safe, but it still made you uneasy. Not only that, but on a weekend at such an hour too… it made you wonder. But if you wanted to go, what options did you have? Should you take someone with you? But Somi was out of the country with her family until next Monday and Daehwi… Daehwi was probably busy. Was there a way to ask your secret admirer to reschedule or to meet someplace where you felt safer?
Your mind was dashing from idea to idea, trying to map out a possibly course of action only to be derailed by obvious pitfall after pitfall. You were so lost in the maze that your mind had created that you didn’t hear Daehwi walking up to you and calling your name. It wasn’t until he gently gave you a tap on the shoulder did you really snap out of it… but not before almost jumping a foot in the air out of shock.
“Hey, I didn’t mean to scare you. I was walking by and saw that you looked a bit off and wanted to check on you. Is everything alright?” Daehwi asked as he pulled a chair over to the side of your desk. He leaned his head against his hand as he scanned your expression. You seemed concerned, but it felt like there was something else too. He had seen it before. Ah, were you anxious? It had been a while since he had seen you like this and he couldn’t help but worry a bit.
“I-I’m okay…” you stuttered unconvincingly as he gave you a bit of a look. You were trying not to worry him, but you knew that he saw right through you, mostly with that face he was making back at you.
Were you trying to hide how you were feeling from him? That wasn’t like you. It made him feel weird. Like a small pain had developed in his heart. “You know that I know you better than that. So what’s wrong,” he stated rather than asked.
“Fine,” you said with a light sigh. “It’s… it’s about my secret admirer…” you said slowly, watching as Daehwi perked up a bit. Much like Somi, you knew that Daehwi was interested in this guy as well. He played it off like he just wanted you to be happy, but you saw his reaction at times when Somi mentioned your admirer or he was brought up, and Daehwi always seemed to be paying more attention than he let on. But you knew that he just didn’t want to hound you about, though if given the chance he probably would have asked as many questions as Somi did. “Things have been good. He just writes his usual sweet little notes, but today… he told me that he wants to meet up in person this weekend. And he also said that he’s my soulmate. It’s a lot to take in at once and though I wasn’t worried about this guy before, I am a little worried now…”
“So I’m guessing this wasn’t the outcome you wanted?” he asked, his question from a few weeks prior coming back to you.
Hm, now that you thought about it, you supposed he was right. Though part of you was curious, this was only ever supposed to be a cute little thing between you and the other person. It was becoming too real. Honestly, you were just kind of happy having someone else give you a bit of attention. Your friends had been so busy lately that it was hard for all of you to just meet up and chat. Daehwi had a different group of friends from his other activities and Somi had her team. You were kind of on the outskirts of that. You guessed… maybe you felt a bit lonely and the notes from your secret admirer were helping to fill that gap. But you never thought that such pleasantries would eventually lead to the two of you possibly meeting. You really were a romantic so you did want it all to work out. But you also knew that, even as a high school student, things didn’t work out like they did in the movies.
“I mean, it’s been nice getting little notes and hearing from him, but I guess I’m just worried that this isn’t going to turn out how the fantasy in my head is hoping? Like what if he’s not what I expect? Or, since it’s a weekend, what if the situation gets dangerous? I think, even though I want to solve the mystery, I’m also a little scared. This person could truly end up being my soulmate… or they could have been playing a bad joke on me this entire time. I mean, the people at the school are nice, but there are some people, you know?”
Daehwi gave you a small nod, his mind running through the many possible options you could have. “And if he’s not a good person, he could make it really difficult for you at the school too…” he murmured, leading you to agree with the softest noise.
“That’s a fear of mine as well… people making fun of me for getting so excited over some notes just to chicken out last minute…”
“Hmm… then there’s only one option,” Daehwi said pointedly, making you look over at him with curiosity. “You have to go… and I’ll go with you.”
“Daehwi, I–”
“Look, you’re worried that this might go sideways because you don’t know who he is. There’s no way that, as your best friend, I could let you go alone. I’m going to make sure you’re okay. I’d never let anything bad happen to you.” He gave you a decisive nod and a gentle smile to end the conversation there. They were so characteristic of Daehwi and your heart felt warm at his gesture. He was always so sweet to you. You couldn’t help but wonder if maybe he was –
“But Daehwi, don’t you usually have things with the guys on the weekend? I don’t want to interrupt…” you said, dismissing your own thoughts about Daehwi. You had considered it in the past, that your best friend might be more than just your best friend, but you were pretty sure you were watching too many dramas, and that there was no way this he could have been your soulmate. He was just… being nice, right?
Daehwi shook his head. “Naw, we aren’t practicing this weekend, so I’m completely free. I’ll come and get you and we’ll go to the park together, okay?” he said, before looking at the time and realizing that he had to get going to class. You thanked him before watching him run off. Your heart skipped a beat in that moment, but you decided not to humor it. There was just… no way…
========
To say that you were nervous on the day that you were supposed to meet your admirer was an understatement. You must have made it pretty obvious while you were talking to Daehwi that morning because he suggested that the two of you hang out a few hours before you were supposed to meet this mystery man. Daehwi took you to your favorite little dessert shop that sold snacks, drinks, and of course desserts. The two of you spent your afternoon there, just chatting about how your lives had been going. It was the first time you had done this in what felt like forever. You told him about everything that was going on, maybe venting more than you should have, but he had been receptive to it, trying to give you what advice he could. Honestly, you missed spending time with him like this. It had been so long since you both got to hang out, just the two of you. The closeness was still there, but for some reason, it didn’t quite feel the same as it used to. Though, you had chalked it up to just being a little disconnected lately.
The hours rolled by quickly in each other’s presence and you were almost a bit sad when Daehwi told you that it was time to meet your admirer. You were enjoying your time together so much that it felt like a waste that it was ending so soon. Yet you knew he was right and the pair of you made your way down the busy city streets, side by side, through the throngs of people that were just starting their evenings. You soon found yourselves in the familiar residential area near your school, the small playground coming into view almost instantly. Daehwi suggested that, since no one was there yet, that the pair of you wait on the swings together, and you agreed.
And there you waited… and waited… and waited.
At first it was just ten minutes and you thought that he might just be a bit late. Then, ten minutes became twenty, then thirty, then forty-five, and then your heart sank. You had felt this feeling before. It hadn’t been too long ago, so you still remembered what it was. At a past school, some of the students had decided to pick on you by telling the boy you liked to get you to wait for him in the schoolyard. You had felt this same feeling then, this sense of foreboding that you felt now. You were sure that you were being tricked again, but this time, you really didn’t know what to do.
“He’s not coming, is he…” you finally said, breaking the silence between you and Daehwi. Your friend looked over at you with a look you couldn’t quite explain, and all you did was sigh. “This was all just… it was just a sick joke. This secret admirer didn’t exist and I’ll bet you that the person playing the prank on me is filming it right now…”
“Hey, come on, don’t say that…” Daehwi said slowly as he got up and walked towards you.
“Daehwi, it’s been almost an hour. This guy isn’t coming. It was probably a prank by one of the girls in the school. It’s probably Hyojung. I knew that she didn’t like me…” you mumbled, your head drooping as your feet gently brushed against the ground below you. You felt your swing start to still as Daehwi stood in front of you, his hands holding onto the metal chains to keep you in place. “I’m so stupid…”
“You aren’t,” he said firmly.
“I am! This random person has been sending me notes for over two months and instead of thinking that it’s stupid, I’ve been smiling like an idiot this entire time. I didn’t know if they were even real, but they just made me so stupidly happy. And now here I am waiting for some dumb person that doesn’t even exist to show up. Daehwi, if that’s not dumb then I must be something far worse…”
“Yah, stop saying those things about yourself.”
“They’re true. I’m so stupid. I can’t believe I thought he was real. What kind of –”
“H-he is real…” Daehwi stuttered out. His words weren’t confident, but you heard them loud and clear. You adored Daehwi so much, more than anyone else, but this wasn’t the time to coddle you. You knew you were in the wrong this time. Your emotions were at a high now and you just couldn’t understand why he wasn’t agreeing with you like he usually did.
“Daehwi, you aren’t listening! Where is he if he exists?!” you yelled, now on your feet as you looked at your friend head on. You felt like you weren’t being heard, and that really upset you. He was always the person you ran to when you needed your opinions heard and here he was doing the opposite. Just like everyone else did. How could he –
“He does exist and he’s standing right in front of you!” Daehwi yelled back, apparently having been just as upset as you were. He looked you right in the eyes, seemingly hurt at all of the words that you didn’t even realize you pointed at him. “I-I’m your secret admirer…”
There were a lot of things that you had prepared yourself for that night, things that you thought would happen. This… this wasn’t one of them though. Daehwi was… your secret admirer? At first it almost seemed ridiculous to you. If he liked you, he would have just told you… right? If he were really your soulmate, he would have just told you, right? But the more you thought about it, the more you realized that this might not have been the case. No better way to find out than to ask him. “But… why…”
“Because it’s just as I told you in the notes. I like you a lot. I always have, but I didn’t want to mess us up. We have a good thing, you, me, and Somi, and I didn’t want to break it all. I thought I could make you happy by just writing you notes, but I realized that it wasn’t working for me. I… I wanted to console you when you weren’t feeling well. I wanted to hold you. I wanted… I wanted to be someone so important to you. But I knew you’d freak out a bit…” he admitted, his eyes no longer looking at you and instead at the ground.
You had to admit, this would explain some of his behavior with you. You thought it was just closeness, you thought it was just you seeing things, seeing that there might be a little more to the two of you, but you weren’t just hallucinating those things after all…
“I did actually prepare something for you today, and when we got to the park, I had planned to just tell you everything, but I chickened out. I got scared that things would change for the worst, so I kept waiting,” he explained. “But then you got upset. You got so mad, and I did… I didn’t know what to say and I just said whatever came to my mind…”
“Y-you prepared something?” you asked, your cheeks getting a bit warm, seeing your best friend give you a shy little nod. Gently you grabbed both of his hands. “Please show me…” you urged, watching as Daehwi’s eyes widened when he finally lifted his head to look at you. Giving you a nod, he tenderly grasped your hand in his, walking you back towards the park that was near the school. As you guys approached, you took a turn to one of the smaller paths, which led to a beautiful little pagoda that the two of you had found while wandering around once. It was adorned with flowers, planted by one of the local florists and today it looked a bit different. The entire area glowed in a faint yellow light, the area adorned with little fairy lights. It was like a scene right out of a drama, and you weren’t expecting how beautiful it looked.
“The reason I’ve been spending so much time with the guys as of late, is that I having them help me set this up for you. I know that you like these romantic things and I wanted to do something for you. I know it’s nothing special, but the guys took the last couple of hours setting it up while we were chatting though… looking at it now, I should have just done it myself…”
“Daehwi… I love it…” you said softly, a small smile forming on your lips. You were still kind of at a loss for words, the situation unfolding so quickly that your brain was having a hard time playing catch up. But you knew it was all going in the right direction. Everything was right, everything was beautiful, but you did have one more question.
“Daehwi, in your last letter, you said soulmate…”
It was his turn to smile as he held out his left wrist to you, allowing you to see for yourself. You gently pulled back his sleeve, and right there, the first words that you said to him adorned his wrist.
‘You’re the nicest person I’ve met so far.’
And just below that, the cryptic letters spelled out your name.
“It’s always been you… for about four months now…”
Your cheeks felt warm as you looked at your best friend, the two of you sharing the most loving gaze. “I’m glad that this isn’t a lie…” you managed, still too overwhelmed to say much else.
He smiled gently as he reached to pull you into a hug. “I’m glad too…” and like that… the name on your wrist filled out to read,
‘Lee Daehwi’

Berwick
So I’ve been applying for this camp, through work for the last four years or so, and this year, after almost deciding that I didn’t need it anymore, I got picked to go. It is based in the Berwick Forest, 40km out of Dunedin in May which usually would sound like a whole lot of miserable to me (as I am a sad sack throughout most of Winter) but for some reason I was keen to go.
Arriving at an empty airport in Dunedin and realising I had been left behind was a shit start that really made me question if I had made the right choice. But that was the last time I had that thought. I got picked up by one of the Lions Club members eventually and dropped at the camp where everyone was already sitting in their ‘watches’ with their GP lines and beanies. I was in Green watch which suited me fab, my fav colour. I immediately was thrown into the team building exercise where we were writing a story about a hole in a balloon. It’s interesting thinking back now to those people I met, and how those relationships changed and grew over the 8 days I was there.
My watch was made up of Moe (said Moy) (60s), Mark (60s), Julie (50s), Myself (26), Max (24), Erin (21), Kohan (19), William (18), Mikayla (18) & Harry (18). Such a range of people from all walks of life.
I’d miss the orientation session, along with Charlie and Morgan from Trustpower so we briefly sat down and went through this before heading to our bunks. Being last meant I got a top bunk - which I was fine with as it meant I was closer to the warmth (and farts I guess).
We woke EARLY the next morning, about 5.40am to bagpipes blasting outside our room. I freaking love bagpipes so this actually put me in such a good mood. We got dressed and headed to our first activity which was like a brain teaser type activity in the common room. It was far too early for me to be able to contribute anything useful and I’m pretty shit at these types of things anyway so was happy to let the team lead us to success! Finally at 7 we got breakfast, typical camp style lining up for cereals, toasts, porridge the works. I went hard out of fear of not eating again for a long time and a huge day ahead. Before I knew it we were kitted up in our wetsuits heading to our first big activity - Kayaking. Now I’m not really for or against Kayaking. Can be fun, sometimes it’s just boring so I was keen to see what they had planned. We started in a pool, the tiny, local community pool that used to be used by a school that was now shut down. The water was ice. I wore my socks in. They made us do flips in the kayaks and taught us how to safely exit if we did flip on the river.
Then we were in the river. I had chosen my paddle and kayak that I felt would suit me best, plus they were perfectly colour coordinated so thought I was away for the win. We had barely disembarked before one of our watch Will, had fallen out of his kayak. He was complaining it was too small and hard to maneuver. Me being the good Samaritan *coughs* offered him mine. This was my first mistake and lesson learnt. Never be nice. His kayak was tiny, it took me 3 goes to get in the damn thing without falling out. I was wearing my sneakers (as the river was colder than the pool) and I was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable the whole river journey. To my dismay when I fell out on a turn, I was trapped by my sneaker and spent a good 3 minutes flailing about until Will caught up and was able to help me out. Overall it was still fun though. When I had to get out of the kayak at one point to - kiss the front (the things these instructors made you do) I bruised both legs and by the end of the float (due to falling out so much) I was a freezing, shivering mess. But I DID IT. I think they were worried about hypothermia though as they sent me straight to the van where the heater was blasting.
We headed back to lunch which was sandwiches and hot pies. God I love a good pie. So delightful. Then we had tea prep so I spent the next hour peeling & chopping carrots with Mikayla.
Straight into Knots & the Confidence course after lunch. I gotta say, I am possibly the worst knot tier in the history of the planet. I had to be shown about 300 times before it stuck and then the next day I still couldn’t tell you what the damn knots were called. Lucky I had a watch full of able humans who had done guides and were just onto it to help me through the rest of the week where knots were ESSENTIAL to survival! The confidence course was fun. The very first part was a tyre wall which I felt very prepared for after spending Intermediate sitting on the tyre wall at lunch times. I must admit, once I was at the top I was still abit shaky/nervous going over the top. Even more so when we had to carry a bucket full of water over too! Erin struggled with this one, she just would not budge at one point, saying her arms/legs were giving up, bawling her eyes out and Leanne (one of our instructors) would not let her give up. She made it over and I’m glad, but I definitely had a moment of - this feels like bullying. It just shows you though, some people need it. The rest of the course was pretty tame, tarzan ropes onto walls, that sort of jam. It wasn’t until the last bit - a firemans pole that I got a bit nervous again. I don’t know what it is about them but they freak me out. This one was exceptionally high too! Leanne was there giving me technique and before I knew it I was at the bottom. Embarrassed at how easy it was! Unfortunately Moe, was close on my tail and did it straight after me without any technique and sped to the bottom where she snapped her ankle in three places. I got to do First Aid, but poor Moe was gutted. Her ankle did the floppy thing like Harry’s arm in Harry Potter. It was pretty gross but intriguing. She was in no pain! Just shock I guess. Ironically that night after dinner, we had our First Aid training. I was in bed by 9 and asleep by 9.01 for sure. Absolutely shattered.
Day two! We had games first thing from 6am-7am. Again, puzzles in the morning, not my forte. Esp not before kai. After breakfast we had toilet duties which is always a barrel of laughs right? Then on to abseiling. This was based at camp. The hill to the top was a bit of a bitch to get to but abseiling was fun! We did it three times, the third time blind folded. Beef was our instructor. He was a spunk. After lunch we were back on to knots and bush craft which I don’t overly remember doing but again I think this is because I was hopeless at it and all the knots seemed the same to me. Looking at the schedule it’s hard to believe that this took up most of the afternoon. I remember we had to pull a pole somewhere and tow a truck though. Then Dinner, then night exercise. This one was us carrying a massive heavy pole from one side of the camp to the other as a team. It wasn’t awesome. The walk back under the stars was lovely though.
Monday was our first sports session - Netball. I loved it. It made me think how some days I would just play netball and that’s all the exercise I would do.... this was just the first thing for the day! Our team lost, JUST. But our commitment and passion was 10/10! Next was mountain biking which I was super excited for but MAN it was hard. We got kitted up with bikes/helmets and then did some practice stuff on the icy grass/mud. We then headed up the hill. I could bike up all of 2 minutes as it was steep AF. Everyone had to get off and walk most of it. We learnt how to jump logs and break/maneuver down steep hills. I came off the bike twice, one time landing on another stationary bike but it was so awesome! Then we got to boost down the hill. It was SO fast. I felt alive. I loved it. 100% Mountain biker for life.
After lunch we were back into it with a ‘Bridge Exercise’ - they gave us tiny hints to what we were doing throughout the course - but they never really helped. This was intense. When we realized what we had to do, get from one side of the bridge, underneath it and come up on the other side - there was a lot of planning involved. And actually doing it, (and trusting your teams knots) was pretty crazy! We aren’t allowed to share photos of this and I didn’t get any, any way but this was such a cool challenge. After dinner our night exercise this night was hilarious. We were all blindfolded and either had to lead or direct our watch around camp. It was pretty freaky putting your trust in strangers this way, especially at night. I DID end up in a swamp. But it was so fun. Making the most of our other senses and what not. Pretty cool. And just when we thought we were finally done for the night, blindfolds off. I hear this blood-curdling scream and Leanne comes racing up to us in full diva/drunk actor mode yelling about how she pushed her brother ‘Eric’ off a cliff and he’s dying at the bottom. So off we trot following her to save Eric. I got the fun task of taking care of drunk Leanne who was going on about popping cherries, working her ‘night job’ and the likes. Much to Harry’s disgust as Leanne is his mums best friend. So entertaining. Finally with Eric stretchered back to camp and bandaged we were allowed to go to bed.
Tuesday Tramp Day! This was what I was most nervous about, a 15km tramp through the wilderness. Seemed like not far but boy was it ever. It took us 12 hours. We went the wrong way twice and not just a few steps like probably 2-3kms each time. No instructors, reception, just a map (that wasn’t the best if I may add!) The majority of the tramp was up hill and it was hard. Erin couldn’t hack it. She got blisters day one and the whole tramp (before she got taken out) she was moaning about them and stopping every 20 steps. It meant we moved incredibly slow - I didn’t really get a chance to get tired. She was though. I felt sad for her because everyone was tired/sore in some way and she couldn’t just push herself. Anyway, she got taken out with Max, who was borderline collapsing at every turn and then we could pick up the pace. By 7.30pm it was dark, cold and we were so over it. By 8.30 we were finally at The Hilton, exhausted and starving. I ate mince boiled with instant mash potato and peas. It looked like spew but I devoured it. Then I went to bed, it’s possibly one of the worst huts I’ve stayed in. Made New Beers look like a resort. But I slept solidly.
Wednesday we were up early to make our way to the Mahinerangi Dam. Damn son. It was huge. We had lunch first - chicken AND ham luncheon sandwiches - just bread and butter no shit, dried apricots and a cup-a-soup. Gourmet I tell you. We set up our tents, wet and dirty from the previous 2 watches and then got set up for our dam abseil. First one, no biggy, no dramas for me. Second one... I’m not quite sure what happened but I was afraid. I didn’t realise I wasn’t going to be able to use my feet and would just have to lower myself down. I think the shock of that suddenly happening just set me off and I burst into tears. Sobbed the whole dam way down. Need any more damn puns? Damn. Others didn’t do the second one, but Harry and Max went all profesh on us, bouncing off the walls like Spiderman. Show offs.
After the dam activities, we were off for another wetties exercise. Raft building. Each team member had to sail out to the island and back without getting our lines wet or drownies. It was actually a really easy task and we finished it so early we had heaps of free time. FREE TIME!? At Berwick? NEVER. I went and set up my tent, I got nominated to tent with the boys as we only had 3 person tents plus we wanted to avoid the snorers (Mark, Will, Max, Erin...) Kohan, in my tent didn’t bring a bed roll, so Harry and I ended up putting our two together and sharing. We played some president which I was excellent at for once. We had some snacks, then went and made dinner. Pasta packets - Mac & Cheese. This was actually pretty tasty. I ate heaps! After dinner we had another activity. Learning to use a GPS. They are super legit - who knew!? And Geo-caching is a thing. I’m 26 and I’d never heard of this, but people leave notes for other people around the world to find. It’s like a world-wide treasure hunt! So cool! Thankfully we got to have an early night and headed back to the tent. I slept in full gear - beanie, puffer jacket, merinos, socks - the works and was still shivering. I’m actually so glad there was no way of knowing how cold it was that night but there was ice on our tent in the morning.
Thursday was another 4 hour tramp back to camp. We got lost... again and were late getting back. We went straight into lunch then an Initiative course. This was probably the best ever. Or maybe it was just I remember it so well as it was near the end of the week. It was loads of team-based activities that weren’t physically demanding but just hilarious and you had to use your brain and trust your homies to succeed. I got heaved over walls, thrown through ‘spider webs’, held my fingers against holes in a giant drum while the team filled it with water #frozenfingers. I had to sit on Harrys shoudlers so we could all fit onto this platform after swinging across a mudpit. We then had to dive into another mudpit/lake, do a massive flying fox, ropes again and more. Dinner, then more sport afterwards. Cricket, which would have been amazing except it was inside and you couldn’t smash it so I got out pretty quickly. Had a few successful bowls however.
Friday morning we had more sport - football (lame but fun for others) then breakfast and cleaning. Everyone was back from the tramps Friday and we were on dinner so had to prepare a shit tonne for the ‘’roast meal’ (8 Roast Beefs!). It was a huge job. Then we were off for our ‘river exercise’ which we were told - all being well you shouldn’t get wet. I have to admit by this point, I had very little clothing left and reaaaallly didn’t want to get wet if I could avoid it. So when our first team mate came across the river and dropped to the side, a sodden mess- I was hugely disappointed. I think this was the only task we actually had to ask an instructor for help. We had to be split into two groups on each side of the river and using our ropes (not getting them wet) we had to get each team member to the other side of the river and back. Thankfully, by the time I had to go across, not only was I being pulled back and forth #noeffortrequired but I did not touch the river with any part of my body! Great success! Harry got dunked which was sad for him but hilarious for everyone else. Back to camp for a quick lunch then we had another group activity (bridge building) and then orienteering. Both were fun, but orienteering took us ages! Makayla, Harry and I were in a team and these two just spent the time waffling. I had to be mother hen quite frequently to keep them on the job at hand! We played some truth or dare which was great on my part because I am an excellent question master and kept orienteering fun, but it was cool because you got to explore the whole camp. I saw a baby wild pig! And there was probably 3 times total I said over the course - surely they wouldn’t make us go up/down/through there.... alas, it was the right way. When we finally got back, Kev the instructor was on his way out to us to check we weren’t dead. Dinner was a bit emotional as it was our last night... then we had to go do our performance ‘Welcome to Berwick’. It was in the tune to ‘My House’ by Flo Rida and our watches show was definitely the best. We even had backing music... just saying. After that we all headed back to the rooms to spend time together before lights off as I knew I had an earlier flight Sat morning and wouldn’t get to do the last relay or wind down drinks/BBQ. Harry was quite distraught. He was crying and saying he didn’t want to leave and that Makayla and I were his best friends and I was just amazing. It was all quite overwhelming for me. I loved these two, so easily and quickly in this weird environment we’d been thrust in - but I guess for me I had a lot of friends, Chris and life to go back to and neither of them didn’t have quite that. So I will try be good friends to them both, because I think they need that. I know they’re gonna do great things. It’s exciting to watch.
Saturday morning was spent cleaning, trying to find all my shit and then a few tears saying goodbyes (even from me! Shock Horror!) Kev drove me away in the van and it was hard leaving. I really could have stayed there another week or more I think. I just loved it.The truth is I really didn’t miss home that much, I was too tired or busy... I didn’t think I had missed Chris even until I saw him and burst into tears. Now being back, it’s hard to explain how life-changing and inspirational it was. I feel like a dick talking to people about it and saying that that’s exactly what it was for me but people don’t really get it unless they’ve been. I LOVED not using my phone or having it anywhere near me, I LOVED the people I met and stories we shared, I LOVED being outside, being dirty and being completely me without anyone's expectations. I loved learning all these new skills and really pushing myself and then finding out how awesome I could be!
Finally, I must admit though, I LOVED coming home to an ice cold bourbon with Chris too. #OGhobby

Aww, don’t worry!
(Seriously though, I’m really happy you’re back <3)
I didn’t even like Saiko that much when I first got into Re (she was like the least interesting Q to me), and now she’s one of my favs. Literally one of the only people who doesn’t have a nasty side. Urie/Saiko is now my OTP and if Ishida makes Urie sacrifice himself for Mutsuki or something I SWEAR I’LL DROP THIS MANGA (only we all know I won’t ;-;)
Yep, seriously. Touken has really bad timing. At this rate we can be sure their kid will choose to be born in the middle of a raging battle. (Why does that actually sound like a possible option)
Poor Shuu. I firmly believe that he’s going to confront Kaneki about Kanae at some point, and Kaneki will be forced to realize that just because he’s in love with Touka and is going to have a family now, doesn’t mean that he can just ignore everyone else around him.
WOW. Wait, who is that? Which anime/manga is he from??? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him before… (those gifs are really cool 0.0)
Is it bad that I want to read the Kaneki Pamphlet.
Tatsuo would roast Shuu so badly tbh. You know he’s super passive-aggressive…
(I’ve only read a few chapters of HxH so far because I was so busy with FMA, but it seems interesting! The art isn’t very good and it has a very typical shounen-ish vibe, but the character designs are cool and the setting is interesting (I also can’t wait to actually meet all my problematic favs, because despite only just getting into the fandom Hisoka (AKA basically the HxH version of anime Tsukiyama- only, instead of wanting to eat the MC he wants to turn the MC into the strongest warrior and then fight him, ‘cause apparently violence and fighting a good opponent turns him on) and Illumi (AKA coldblooded assassin who’s obsessed with his little brother and just…has a lot of issues) are already my problematic favs.)
…
(is it bad that I sang/rapped along while reading that.)
I also have a huge crush on Lust and Olivier. Those two are just amazing. Though it’s a more complicated crush than the one I have on Scar because tbh, to me, Olivier and Lust are scarier than him XD so a mixture of fear and desperate ‘NOTICE ME PLZ SENPAI’ thing? lol
Yeah, from what I’m seeing so far Scar is getting a lot of cool development and I’m really happy about it :)
0////0 omg. That’s making me blush…though in reality, I feel like he’d be so done with me most of the time lol
Ok, this is just like with Urie/Luna and Shuu-Evans. LET ME MAKE HEADCANONS FOR THE QUEEN
Mustang/Luna:
-The first time you meet he immediately tries to hit on you. Unfortunately, Queen Luna is way too sarcastic and sassy for this loser and rejects him.
-He accepts that he’s been rejected, but he finds you even more interesting now and tries to make friends. That’s how you get to know each other.
-There’s a TON of sarcastic banter in this relationship.
-Though he’ll probably never admit it, Roy is impressed with how much you know/study and considers you one of the smartest, most dedicated people he knows. He truly respects you for that.
-He likes watching/listening when you play the piano. Sometimes he asks you to play a particular song and once you offered to teach him how to play- though that lesson somehow ended with a burning piano
-Later actually falls in love with you and decides he must ask you out, only to realize that he’s super nervous about ruining the friendship. He has to rely on Riza for help, and she suggests asking Edward as well, since 'teenagers seem to know more about romance these days’. Needless to say it does not go well
-Somehow, you do end up as a couple.
-After you become a couple:
-Roy often buys flowers for you, especially when he’s busy and hasn’t been able to see you that much. Eventually your house is swamped with flowers and you tell him that simple notes/letters are just fine.
-(doesn’t stop him from buying complex bouquets and asking you to figure out the flower meanings. If he gets you to blush with all the romantic flower language he won’t stop teasing you about it.)
-He always tries to take you on the most extravagant dates ever and sometimes you have to convince him that yes, just cuddling at home with a movie is also great and he doesn’t have to try so hard to impress you.
-Gets pouty when he finds out you have a thing for guys who wear glasses. Immediately buys some fake glasses for himself
-There isn’t a lot of open affection, since you’re an introvert and Roy may be a flirt but he isn’t quite the type who can make deep, touching, genuine speeches about how much he loves you and why. However, he has his own way of showing that he cares.
-He spends as much time with you as he can and either calls you or writes letters when work keeps him busy; he lets you know that you are one of the most important people in his world.
-Will spoil you to the point where other people tell him that you can’t just spend that much money on presents for your girlfriend, but he doesn’t care as long as you like the gifts.
-Sometimes worries that you’re too good for someone like him and that you’d be better off with someone else; actually tried to break up with you over this once but you managed to convince him to stay.
-He also loves talking about alchemy with you if you’re interested; if he ever teaches you some, you turn out to be a fast learner and he’s very, very proud (probably goes around showing off his genius girlfriend to everyone else)
(I’d like to make Greedling HCs too but unfortunately I can’t say I know him that well yet. I’ll definitely write some when I read more of the manga though ^^)
I’ll probably be able to submit a few pictures this weekend :D
I’m also a bit terrified of Kimblee XD he IS very interesting though. I don’t like him at all but I love how how complex he is.
Tatsuo is totally Sloth. He finds everything tiring. As long as Naomi survives and he has blood wine he just doesn’t care.
*slams hands on the table* EVANS DO YOU BY ANY CHANCE PLAY OTOME GAMES, CAUSE I HAVE DESCENDED BACK INTO OTOME HELL, EVEN THOUGH I WAS SURE I WAS DONE WITH IT WHEN I FINISHED MYSTIC MESSENGER. Lemme enlighten you:
This is a game called ‘Cinderella Phenomenon’, made by Dicesuki. It’s completely free to play, available on Steam, for pc and mac.
These are the dateable characters. From left to right: Waltz, Fritz, Karma, Rumpel and Rod.
This is Karma, the only route I’ve played so far.
This is also Karma. Yes, he casually crossdresses.
Ah, the MC of the game is also a character I like because it’s one whose personalty I actually hate, but at the same time, I get where she’s coming from, and those characters are always a sign of good writing for me, because they make someone a bitch, but not a pure bitch who’s like that for the sake of being mean.
What i’m trying to say is, if you’re into otome games, this is a gem, so you HAVE to play it at some point. Maybe not now, but at some point.
Yeah, Saiko is a rare gem in TG, so it’s pretty much impossible not to like her. Because, wow, a nice person! That’s rare! (hopefully we didn’t jinx ourselves now)
I’ve… dropped TG again XD I guess I just don’t have the patience to deal with the mess that is Touken. And the last of Urie/Saiko. If Urie/Saiko happens, though, I’ll definitely pick it up again ^^;;;
Kaneki’s strategy in life seems to be ‘ignore it, hopefully it goes away’. Unfortunately, that strategy never works. So, he has some shit incoming soon. I actually kinda want to see the argument between him and Shuu…
Oh, it’s Hayama Akira from Shokugeki no Soma/Food Wars. It’s an anime about cooking. Unfortunately, it’s also… Ecchi. So, if you’re not comfortable with those things, then I’d recommend skipping it. In all honesty, it’s not even that good. But the food does look delicious ;-;
You’ve invented a new kind of stupid, a damage you can never undo kind of stupid. The open all the cells in Cochlea kind of stupid.
Well, HxH seems… interesting to say the least. But from what I’ve heard, it gets VERY emotional later on, so good luck with that!
I wrote the whole thing from memory, so I honestly doubt rapping along is considered bad XD
Scar gets EVEN MORE development. Seriously, no matter where you are in the manga, he always gets more development.
You seriously have something against my heart, don’t you? Cause you make it die every time you send something like this T_T
Good luck with making me blush, because at this point, I am convinced I’m physically unable to blush. Because no matter how embarrassed I get, I never, ever blush. One of my friends tested me, when we were still in elementary school, by constantly making sexual innuendos around my crush, yet I never blushed. It’s fascinating, really.
Okay, but imagine Roy realising I like guys with slightly longer hair. I don’t know about you, but my mind immediately goes to a certain midget.
And since I’m pretty sure that, if I was an alchemist, I’d specialise in water alchemy (a, because it’s all around us and easily accessible, b, because the human body is made up of 60% water, so you’re able to do a lot of damage with it (as the freezing alchemist graciously showed us), even though I don’T think I’d freeze/turn people into steam, maybe just smaller body parts. Y’know, so I don’t exactly kill them), so we’d be a pretty dynamic pair.
Which alchemy do you think you’d specialise in?
BUt seriously, I can already imagine Scar being so so worried around you in the beginning, cause you always freeze up around him and he’s actually kinda hurt?? but he doesn’t want to admit it, cause he’s proud™, and then again, he doesn’t like it?? So he tries being gentler, nicer around you, so you stop looking at him like he’s a lion or something, and it actually takes a lot of effort on his part, but he’s trying to change, so he needs people NOT being afraid of him And eventually he succeeds and you’d no longer freezing up and he’s so freaking proud because the girl who honestly reminded him of a mouse at first is finally talking to him, and he feels like he’s accomplished a big step in life. seriously, i can see him fussing over you so much, because he’s always, always worried he’s intimidating you, and he genuinely doesn’t want that
Tatsuo is the definition of a glorious bastard.
THE NEW CHAP OF KUROHITSUJI IS HERE!! And honestly, I’m a bit disappointed, because that’s it?? I mean, what exactly was the purpose of this chapter?? Probably to say that, yes, this actually IS Ciel, and they actually ARE twins, but I honestly never doubted that. But, hey, we got to see a panel from a long, long time ago drawn again, and we can see the art development:
It’s actually beautiful to see how much Yana has improved over the years.
Oh, and I found this:
Beautiful.
AAAND I’ve also seen the new Spiderman! Peter is so pure ;-; And he’s younger than me. Wow.

Okay, so today was pretty cool. I got like, 4 hours of sleep before my alarm went off at 6:40 and I did successfully convince myself to get out of bed thankfully. My roommate never came home so her alarm was going off, but it wasn't loud or anything so I just shut it off. Got ready, ate breakfast, then went out to wait for the bus and it says it'll be here in one minute on the app.....and then it's gone. Just disappeared from the app entirely, next bus is in 20 minutes. What the fuck? Did I mention it's like 7:15 am and like 20 degrees out? Yeah, not cool. So I hang out at the bus stop for a little while longer because the app gets messed up sometimes (plan B would've had to have been get an uber if I wanted to meet my friend on time) and a few minutes later a bus is coming down the street with a different route than I've ever seen on that street before. Ooookay. But then he stops at the stop I'm at, which is only supposed to be for the 50 bus so I'm like okay....and the driver opens the doors and is like "oh this is the 50 bus!" and I'm just like.....okay! Haha willing to take it as odd as it may be. So I get on. I'm worried now though that I'll miss the second bus I was gonna take, I was supposed to have a like, 4 minute window between drop off and pick up, but now we're pushing time. So I get off at the stop, and as soon as the bus pulls away the other bus is waiting at the light on the other side of the street. This is like, not the first time this has happened to me in like that exact situation haha. I was kind of confused as to where the bus stop was at first but I figured it out so we were good to go. Just a bit west on that one, as I had already gone south as much as I needed. Dropped off under an overpass and walked like half a mile to my summer job friend's apartment where my spring break friend was staying overnight because she lives in the suburbs. This isn't the apartment I was at last night for the party, because that was the apartment of the other girl the party was for lol. So I let her know I'm outside and she comes out a few minutes later and we get going. Slight problem though, she left her glasses at the party apartment last night but that girl isn't answering her phone, but it's pretty close by and we have time so we drive by there and she tries to get buzzed in for like 5 minutes to no avail (I mean, it is like 8 am on a Saturday). So she assures me she can still actually see well enough to like drive and such haha and I assure her that I (mostly) believe her. We stop by McDonald's quickly and grab some breakfast sandwiches, then head to the site. We're going to a community center which is on the west side of Chicago. It's actually on the same street as my school, but further west. It essentially goes (moving east to west) loop (where my school is), west loop (where my church is), west side (where we are). The west loop is quite nice, but the west side is not so much, and that's where the schools are that my church supports on a regular basis. They do work with another community center not far from there but in another neighborhood that's quite nice as well. We didn't get into it but I had a feeling this one was Catholic run, being that they already had an association with my school and there was some stuff about the "Vincentian" mission which is a big thing at my school as far as catholic social justice goes (Vincent DePaul was a saint I think that the school's named after). But yeah, it was pretty nice. We get lead to this big gym that's been set up with different tables set up around the perimeter with different craft options and such, so they take us around and tell us what the deal is and then tell us we can pick wherever we want to go. There was a cute guy that joined us at one point I was hoping to get to work with, but he went to the dream catcher station but I know I'm so hopelessly unartistic that there was no chance I'd be able to do that, so I instead opted for the table next to them, which was the "slime" station, where we, you guessed it, made slime (which is apparently a big thing with the kids these days). So we have a huge thing of elmers glue and like 3 boxes of borax, and they're like "yeah we don't know the exact formula can you find out??" So I google it on my phone and it's pretty simple, just those two ingredients and water, so they get me a bucket of water and I make a test batch, and I immediately figure out this is going to be very, very messy. I was already trying to figure out just which steps I could actually let the kids do, I didn't want them to touch the borax because it is a chemical and I didn't want anyone to like get it on their skin and irritate it. So I ask for an empty bucket to put the leftover refuse water in, and a lot of paper towels haha which they come through with, along with two big bottles of red and blue food coloring. Alright, cool. At this point a few kids have begun trickling in, and one boy plants himself in a chair next to me and decides he's going to be my assistant, and I certainly wasn't going to refuse the help because I had the feeling things were going to get pretty crazy (spoiler alert: I was right). So we made another few test batches to try and get the formula right, but still kind of end up with leftover gross water, but whatever. So we work out a plan, each kid gets two bowls, and depending on how old they are they can either pour water from the pitcher into the 1/2 cup measurement and put it in the bowl or hold the 1/2 cup measure while I pour water into it and then pour it into the bowl. Trying to be as mess free as possible, but of course it still happened. I then gave them half a teaspoon of borax and handed them a spoon and asked them to stir. I then took the giant bottle of glue and the 1/4 cup measure and use that to put glue into the second bowl. I would've let the kids do this themselves, but the bottle of glue was like ridiculously heavy and I just did not see that going well. At this point if they wanted to add a color, red, blue, purple, or just plain white, they could add that to the glue, then add a 1/4 cup of water and mix it until it's homogenous (I obviously didn't use that word in explaining it) then pour that mixture into the water and borax one, and ta-da! You have instant slime that you just need to pull out of the water and you're good to go! Of course the elasticity and consistency of it varies depending on just how much of the different ingredients got into that batch, but most of it came out quite well. And it was very popular, we were swamped pretty much the whole time and I tried my best to clean as we went, but especially with the food coloring there was basically just a giant mess everywhere. It also didn't help that the food coloring came off on the kids hands when they were playing with it (someone didn't think that one through all the way). We had gloves for the actual process, but at some point those ran out and mine were so covered in dye it was cross contaminated other kids' stuff, so I had to abandon them and just get my hands really really stained with food coloring haha. By the end of the 2 and a half hours I was really tired, both from lack of sleep and just activity, so I was definitely ready to be done by the time we wrapped up. I did make a purple batch for myself to take home, but sadly the consistency didn't come out all that great. But we got lunch with everybody, hot dogs, then we all got in a circle and talked about MLK Jr. (because his was the MLK Jr peace rally) and such and ended in a very sweet prayer. At the end the boy who was helping me asked to take a picture with me, a that made me happy. He was a cute kid, very sweet. As everyone was dispersing we went upstairs with the director of the program and some girls from the program, ranging in age from like 14-28 and just talked about their experiences growing up in the neighborhood and the losses they've had to endure, and there were so many- dads, uncles, cousins, everyone had someone ripped away from them at the hands of violence. Just yesterday they had buried a 17 year old boy who was in the program and the cousin of one of the girls, who just made a few poor choices and his life was snuffed out just like that. And like, a lot of it they seemed kind of resigned to, just that this is their existence, and I thought that was so sad. The program is really helping keep them off the streets and propelled towards a successful future though, the oldest girl is going for her master's in social work and several others were either in college or in a charter high school. So it was definitely interesting to hear such perspectives on the issues within our city. After that we headed out, I waited for the bus for like 10 minutes and talked to a 1L that was waiting with me. Took that a bit east, then picked the 50 bus back up and rode that home, getting back around 3 o clock. I immediately got laundry started and turned on daredevil. Normally I would start reading today because it looks like that's how it will have to be this semester, but given we have Monday off (and no reading for the Monday scheduled class) the next two days should give me plenty of time to do so. So I mostly relaxed and did laundry. My roommate came home at some point and watched daredevil with me for a while, then after a few episodes (and 3 loads of laundry) she turned on a movie called John Wick I believe which I somewhat watched while making a full meal dinner for leftover purposes during the week. After that we watched a few episodes of chrisley knows best just because it is such an absurd and amusing show, and then we watched 400 days because we were talking about it and seemed like a good choice. I was much less on edge this time since I knew what to expect and I knew that ultimately it didn't really contain anything scary, so I definitely enjoyed it more this time around. And yeah, that was about it, and I got random different things done off my to do list while doing all of this. Tomorrow should be interesting, I'm gonna try really really hard to convince myself to get out of bed at 7:30 instead of my usual 9 so I can go to the 9:30 service instead of the 11. The reason is I'm signed up for the nursery at the 11, but I'm the only one signed up, and there's only one person signed up for the 12:30 after that, so if I'm in the nursery for the 11 I may end up staying for the 12:30 and miss the actual service, and being that I did that for like the two weeks prior to break and then was away for 3 Sundays I really want to be in the service because I honestly missed it so much. So I'm gonna try really really hard, but I know when discretion is involved to some extent I have like zero willpower when it comes to getting up in the morning....but again, I'm gonna try really really hard. Stay tuned for updates in the morning, lol. But until then. Goodnight mah people. Hope you had a lovely Saturday.
