He pecks his brother on the cheek with a loud mwah, and watches Diego finger the gifts, eagerly.

Oh but Klaus has two favorite brothers, and Diego is one of them. He can read the Kraken like an open book, and the hesitation is a...heh, dead.... giveaway.

“Aw, no good....? It’s cool, I can give the scarf to Nathan. Kid’s always freezin’ his nuts off.”

He snatches it back and peers discerningly, again, at the vigilante, encouraged by his little smirk.

“So what’d go over better? Beanie? Oven mitts? Heh, a doily?”

What goes unsaid is that Klaus knits to self-soothe and to waylay the urge to use hard drugs. This and his latest obsession with gardening have gotten him through many a craving. There’s a rather ferocious need inside the Seance to provide gifts that are a hit with every loved one, and to keep trying until he finds a good solid “bingo.”

Klaus kneels in front of the couch and drapes a sleek black and green knit infinity scarf, subtle in tone, and not large and cumbersome, around Diego's shoulders. "A hug from me." And then a pair of black fingerless knit gloves. "I got into it last night. Been a while since I madeja anything." He looks exceedingly pleased with himself.

diego takes the gloves in his hands, blinking in confusion. ———————— ❝ I...THANKS? Though...since when is green my color? Have you ever seen me in green? Did you think I needed a reminder of your eyes of something? ❞ he gives klaus a look but the tiny smile forcing its way onto his face betrays him as he tries on the gloves anyway, briefly adjusting the scarf. now probably isn’t the time to tell klaus that he isn’t too fond of things around his neck.
