It occurred to me there's a workaround of sorts for Legato's backstory in Stampede, if Studio ORANGE wants to retain the inhumanity of it without either squicking the audience into leaving or needing to censor it into incoherence. (It's probably still squicky though!)

To wit: pre-being rescued by Knives, Legato is just a conversation piece, like a plastic exotic plant or coffee table book that's meant to match the decor rather than be read. He's a neat little luxury item that happens to have bodily functions (conveniently hidden from guests' view), locked in a gilded cage and occasionally let out to be oohed and ahh'd over. He doesn't have a name and can't speak, because why should he? He just has to be beautiful forever.

(No idea how he gets the Plant arm though. Was the Plant his "mom"? Was this an attempted, botched rescue of the Plant on his part? Maybe when Knives destroys the town Legato's in, he sees him as a more grateful Vash and gives him the arm then? Good luck to the writers for picking one answer out of the billions they probably have ^^;)

in love with trystan and nora being the maximalist duo they are; like nora has hours of lost media taped and boxed, she has so much confidential stuff stored as junk in her closet, every room in her apartment needs to have a stack of something in it - papers, books, tapes, records, memos and trystan's apartment is just maximalism but really well-ordered, like a collection of knives that can also be used for cooking, lots and lots of paintings, beautiful tapestries, rugs and so many rugs, youd go crazy trying to count them, bookshelves everywhere. no wonder they are so hesitant to move in, they have way too much stuff. n&t really said "death to minimalism" and i love that.
