Happy March, folx! We're dropping in to remind y'all that TDOV is at the end of the month! Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV for short) is a day to show your support for the trans community that happens every year on March 31st! TDOV aims to bring attention to the collective accomplishments of trans people around the globe and to the need for trans liberation. We are here to fight transphobia and cissexism by empowering the trans community worldwide! This year’s theme is Decolonize Gender (#DecolonizeGender ). Gender is a colonial tool that has been used to oppress folks, especially trans and gender non conforming people. We would like to thank our new Social Media Manager, Mel Miguel, for coming up with this theme. Don’t forget to use #TDOV and #DecolonizeGender! We come out to claim our power. We never stop coming out. We every day are exposing ourselves to danger and exclusion, every day fighting the world that works to keep the boxes we’re allowed to fit in pristine and very, very small. I have many privileges that allow me to be out, loud, and queer af, and I fight for everyone coming up behind me to need less privilege to bust those boxes apart for good. What can we full-grown queers do to make the path clear?
