Part 1 of Lisa and Greg’s epic destination wedding in Cancun is featured on the La Brisa blog!!! Of the numerous highlights from the #deanbytheocean celebration, I LOVE this moment between Lisa and Greg. With all of their friends and families at cocktail hour, they were able to slow down and spend a little time together on the beach as newlyweds. This little glimpse of Lisa’s contagious laughter provoked by Greg’s hilariousness is accentuated by the gorgeous pop of color from her lipstick. The #DeanByTheOcean #wedding festivities in #Cancun were absolutely amazing! From the epic rehearsal dinner in a cave (true story!) to the picturesque outdoor ceremony to the pulse-pounding, high energy dance floor, Lisa and Greg celebrated their love and commitment like absolute rockstars! For some reason, I love the idea of a bride and groom running together. I think it’s the symbolism of them running through life hand in hand now that they are one body. Lisa and Greg trusted me so much and they were up for anything. I asked them to sprint along the beach while looking at each other and they were totally game. Aren’t they the best? I’m incredibly excited to be in #Cancun to photograph the #DeanByTheOcean #wedding! This morning, I met Lisa and Greg for a sunrise engagement session and asked them if they’d be willing to try some underwater photos! Well, I’m so glad they said yes because we had an absolute blast! Lisa giggles at everything. She’s so sweet and sincere. Greg is hilarious. He’s always joking around and brings such levity to every conversation. Together, they are ridiculously awesome and fun! 16mm | ISO 800 | f/2.8 | 1/2000 Happy to answer any #photography questions! Today was the first time I’ve ever photographed a couple underwater. Thankfully, Lisa and Greg were up for anything and made everything so easy! After they finished the pose I instructed them to do, Lisa swam up to Greg for a quick kiss before going up for air. And it was perfect! I love Lisa’s genuinely ginormous smile as she approaches Greg. Her flowing hair and dress look mermaid-esque. So far, the biggest challenge with underwater photography is creating authentic posing and interactions to highlight the couples.
