You know those ideas that you just know you don’t have the skill to do justice for?  I got this one for September’s fanart challenge that I just didn’t bother with but then I was like “fuck-it I want to play with colors” so I made an attempt anyways (and I actually like how the right wing turned out).  Playing with default brushes and blending options :3

A lot of the pics have Cas’ trueform and then Dean still looking human except in my own headcanon souls don’t have a distinct shape and they only made them look human in hell in canon because it was easier.  I don’t remember if Cas actually describes Dean’s soul as bright or if that’s fanon, but here is Cas dragging Dean’s shiny soul from the muck of hell.

It will forever be funny to me that in season 13 when Cas comes back from the dead Dean goes from lashing out at everyone while hes in full downward spiral mode to suddenly being in the best mood possible, giggling and kicking his feet over cowboys and hes just like "what im not allowed to be happy or something? 🙄" like bro...🫵🤨 you're fucking gay
