My Spn Finale Thoughts:

As the ending of a show: 7/10

As the ending of Supernatural : 2/10

Let's start with the super obvious: things that Dont Make Sense.

Dean didn't know vampires were real until some way into s1 (ep16?) and yet knew John's journal almost off by heart, but never saw the clown mime vampires written into the journal? Hm.

At the start of the episode, we have Dean saying something like "to honour their legacies all we have to do is keep living" then literally dies 20 minutes later, completely dishonouring Cas' sacrifice

Where the Hell did Miracle go???

Who was Sam's blurry wife? Why wasn't she in any of the photos on the mantelpiece? Speaking of, where were all of Sam's friends, like Charlie, Kevin maybe, Ellen and Jo etc? Jody and Donna??

Why would Bobby say Cas helped when we don't even get to see him (i will come back to this thought later on)??

How the emotional talk was done. 1st off, why is the camera focusing on their hands so much, why did they touch foreheads ew? Also Sam's "you can go now" was completely uncalled for like, did he want Dean to die???

Obviously how Dean died. He could have been sent into outer space with the Mark of Cain, he could have been locked at the bottom of the ocean in a Mal'Ak box, he could have stayed in Hell forever, but no. A rusty nail on a hunt he probably didn't even want to do,, he was applying for a JOB.

Jack didn't get to have a childhood and grow up. It would have been so much better for emotional connection to have Jack de-aged to grow up as a normal kid instead of Dean Jr whom we had NO emotional connection to, and only existed to say the same like to Sam that Dam said to Dean.

No representation for the girls or any of the side characters in general.

No resolving Dean and Cas. At this point I wouldn't care what they talked about but they should NOT have only briefly mentioned him just so he wouldn't have to show up.

DEAN DIDNT GET TO LIVE A LIFE. Thats all hes ever wanted. At some points even more than Sam. He had a job application and could have made himself a life but no it was his destiny to die like that or something (more on this later too). Tbf id rather him live his life alone than with a random person we've never seen before (that or Cas but they obviously couldn't choose that one)

My idea of what Actually Happened (aka Chuck Won Theory):

They try to separate the idea of destiny and Chuck's pre-written path, but they are one and the same. 15x20 is exactly the unsatisfying, mediocre ending Chuck wants to punish them with.

Dean's heaven is designed to make him want to stay. Everyone he loves within reach, the mention of a Cas that isn't in the empty (leaving Dean with no motivation to free him of hes 'already out') and the promise Sam will eventually arrive.

Chuck's ending still happened. One of them still got killed. Chuck's still pulling the strings and they are all still in the Hamster Wheel.

Overall: it ended the show. It didn't end Supernatural.

Absolutely YAY!! I want a season 16, 17 and forever!!

I would most like nto see that Dean somehow didnt die in the barn. Somehow Sam saved him and Dean's Heaven was just a coma dream, and they could pick up where they left off. I for one hated that they had Sam die an old man, which would make it really hard to do a reboot. I dont like that there was still monsters and somehow Sam isnt fighting them and for whatever reason, monsters and demons didnt come after him with Dean being gone... that makes no sense at all.

The spin off kinda answered that question but, I didnt like the spin off so... there ya have it.

I like the idea that Dean didnt actually die, or didnt stay dead, mainly because its the easiest explaination. It means Dean actually did tell Sam everything in his dying breath confession, Sam actually heard it, and Id love to see how that would change their relationship.

Also, Sam never got to bring Dean back to life or back from the brink of death in the series. He tried his damndest but it was always someone or something else that did it.

What I wish would stop though, are the articals from Screan Rant and the like saying stupid shit like "Season 16 could work if they made a POC a strong character that doesnt get killed off, have some strong female characters that dont get killed off (guess no one told them Jody, Donna and the girls, as well as Eileen got to live) and they loosen the grip on the strictly platonic relationship between Dean and Castiel" or how they suggest they explore Deans relationship with Benny.... like.... stop bad touching my show!!!

So anyway, thats my opnion.... now wheres my cookie??

Jared JIB13 Sunday Panel

I Was Made for Lovin’ You by KISS is his entrance song and the only reasons I am mentioning it is because a. it's a perfect song for him and b. I love this song.

What was the biggest lesson that he thinks Sam thought him?

He says, it's funny because his 11yr old son is doing his summer reading assignment before starting 6th grade, and he's reading about the hero's journey, he had a choice of 10 to 12 books to choose from to read this summer. And Jared's fascinated with archetypes, tropes, general storylines that are similar like Star Wars with Luke Skywalker or Harry Potter with Harry Potter, or Lion King with Simba and the journeys these heroes go through and how there are roadblocks along the way; many years ago when he hadn't talked about what he dealt with just personally it was sort of like keep fighting until you find out what you're fighting for so keep putting one foot in front of the other. Sam obviously went through a lot and continued to go through a lot but he thinks Sam thought him, ironically because he died a bunch of times, but there's a saying life is short live it up but hopefully life is long.

So who do you want to be, if you are lucky enough, if you are fortunate enough to have a life there was a long time in his life he didn't think he'd make it to 30 (brb gonna go sob 😭) and now he's 40, has kids that he hopes make it to who knows what Elon Musk is gonna do 500yrs old or something but live like life is long not like life is short. When you're in your teens and 20s you think you gotta live it up and stay up till 5am and drink beer, but you can't do that you gotta live like life is long and be who you want to be, how do you want to be remembered. What Sam and Dean both did was kind of thankless to some extent you know they weren't going on tv shows to talk about killing a rugaru they just did the right thing because it was the right thing to do, so just try and do the right thing, and you're gonna fail and you're gona misstep but just be better and do your best. x

Does he have a favorite dad joke or thing he likes to embarrass his kids with?

He has a lot of favorite dad jokes, his go to lately is: he just realized he only knows 25 letters of the alphabet, he just doesn't know Y. There's also: never trust stairs they're always up to something. As well as: rest in peace boiling water, you will be mist. And: you can always tell a mummy a secret because they always keep things wrapped up. x

Do his children ever ask him to play a particular role, and which one do they ask for?

Odette wants him to be in her band. The other day she had a friend from school over for her first sleepover, and they have a piano and electric drumset and after her friend left the next day she told him and G that she and her friend were going to be in a band, she's gonna be the drummer and the lead she's very proud of herself but she usually wants him to be in a band with her.

Shep wants him to be the unsuspecting victim of an ambush, he'll never tell him but he'll tell G to tell him to walk somewhere then he "ambushes him" and it's great, it's fun until the other day. Shep had his buddy over and they have this airsoft guns, and they anted to ambush him so G told him, and he went out and they "ambushed" him. And he was carrying a cardboard box which he immediately put over his face and he was playing the part and being like 'help! help!'. They were having fun, and all of a sudden he stops getting shot and hears crying, and when he looks Shep is on the ground holding his butt because Jared's dog Koda thought Shep was trying to kill him, and bit him on the butt because he's trained to protect him. He didnt break skin it was just a warning bite but it scared the kid, but at the same time it's what Koda was trained to do so he can't get mad. And he says it might be bad parenting but he though at least Koda didn't bite Shep's friend because that migt be more difficult to explain.

And he's right, ideally no one would have gotten bitten but it's better that it wasn't Shep's friend because some parents are harshly unforgiving of dog bites regardless of the circumstances, the severity of the bite, or how long they've known the dog owner. x

If he had the opportunity to play another character in another show or movie with Jensen what would it be?

He wants to play his older brother. See how that works; he loves working with Jensen, obviously he loves working with him, he would love to work with him again and he's certain that he will work with him again. He'd like to play his little brother again as well, they've kind of joked- Jensen's been very busy obviously, but they've joked about him being on Walker in some capacity where they have a Maverick moment so he thinks that would be fun cause they've shared a screen so much. They got to do a lot, Jensen was Michael while he was Sam, he was Lucifer while Jensen was dean, he was possessed Jensen was shape shifting so they got to play a lot of dynamics he loved them all and they'll share a screen again. x

Does he think Sam believed that Dean would shoot him if it meant killing Chuck and getting his freedom? This is in relation to the scene in 15.17.

Not for a second. No. He thinks both brothers have such tunnel vission wether Sam has to do something to pull Dean out when he's not listening or Sam has tunnel vision and Dean has to do something to pull him out. It was kind of a flipside of Sacrifice in s8 were Sam felt he had to do this thing and Dean was like wait wait wait, it's almost the equivalent of slapping somebody on the cheek or giving them a smelling salt or something to get them out, you do it with dogs you clap. So he thinks Sam knew that this was gonna wake Dean up. He doesn't think he ever thought Dean would ever shoot him. x

Is there any scene in SPN, Walker, or any other show he'd like to re-shoot?

This is gonna sound like he's making a joke but every scene, he means Sam was so different in s1 and the stories were so different that he was in s15 so part of him wishes- it's like the saying youth is wasted on the young, so if he knew then what he knows now he would have done things a little differently. But he thinks, speaking of SPN specially because it was such a big part of his life and career, it was kinda nice to see Sam grow up. If Sam knew in the Pilot or Wendigo what Sam knew in 15.20 then it wouldn't have been an exciting show, it'd be like this guy knows everything and he knows everything, so it was enjoyable for him to grow alongside Sam so he guesses he'll focus on the part of him that likes to be in the moment for what it was when it was there are plenty of scenes- funny enough the first scene that came to his mind is a scene that tortured him for a while after he went home for the night, but he's had some of the fandom and some coworkers tell him what a great job it was, he's talking about the beautiful, emotional scene between Sam and Dean at the end of Prophet and Loss.

He had a really difficult time remembering his lines, he thought he did, and he had been doing it for 20yrs it wasn't because he slept in or didn't memorize his dialogue he treated the scene the same way he had treated every other scene he had for his entire career but for some reason it just wasn't clicking in his brain. And he was so frustrated with himself and in the scene Sam is so frustrated with Dean and they shot the scene and he was having a really tough time with it and he was like 'what? am i having a stroke? what's going on?' and he doesn't mean that as a stroke joke, he means it literally he tought he had a stroke because his brain just wasn't clicking.

Says he went home and cried himself to sleep, and woke up and still felt bad about it cause he didn't sleep well, and he got up and started apologizing to people saying how sorry he was about the previous night 😭😭😭 But they didn't understand what he was talking about and he said he wasn't there, he didn't bring what he ususally does on set as a leader, and as an actor, and they told him it was great. For some reason, he thinks, Sam and Jared kinda melded in that scene and like they knew the show was ending, it was really tough emotionally the entire time and he thinks some part of himself and some part of Sam didn't want to say the words he was saying so it was a weird mental block that he's never had happen before or since. So that's his isntinct but he guesses he'd leave it as it was because it was as honest as he could have been as an actor and as a character. x

Does he think he has been a teacher in an unconvetaional way through his storytelling?

He responds that it's a great way to think of it and it's very flattering. He guesses he would say that some of his work in tv or movies have served some teaching purposes, he'll say it for sure because it has thought him a lot so if it helps teach - he thinks the great part about teaching is really asking questions and making people figure out to ask questions not just giving them the answers you can go to a calculator or to Google if you want answers but trying to learn how to think and how to do things those have been the most important lessons that he has learned, and learning is forever ideally. If you're not still learning and growing then today, right now, is the best you'll ever be and that's kind of depressing to him.

So he hopes he's been able to help people ask questions and he thinks that was a cool thing about SPN because they were in so many bizarre situations it made him think literally about what he would do like with soulless!Sam. When Sera Gamble told him between seasons 5 and 6 that he would come back soulless he started wondering what that meant, and what a soul is, and he read about what the great philosophers and theologians thought the soul was or what it could be or what religion is and how they kind of correlate across cultures and across societies and eras so he thinks if in his process of learning he was able to help teach at all then then very cool. His mother was a teacher, she's retired now, and she thought him, she showed him how to start asking questions. Anybody can memorize what's in a book to an extent, or look up what happened but the more interesting part to him is why did it happen, what were they thinking and why did they think they were doing the right thing, do they know they're doing the wrong thing, what would he do. x

There are some emotional scenes where Sam's voice breaks like he can't get the words out, is that Sam's voice or Jared's?

He would say Sam's voice. Sam's voice as informed by Jared's interpretation of who Sam is and was and would be in that moment. He's never done an affectation in his voice, he's never made it go higher or lower he just kinda did whatever he felt Sam would do, and funny enough like in some of the earlier seasons of SPN he did kind of lower his voice but he felt like Sam would lower his voice because Sam was already a man, he'd already hunted ghosts and had this shitty life he lost his mom when he was a baby and he felt like Sam still was not a man yet he still was pretending to be a man. He had done a lot of stuff that men never do, and he means man as an adult the adult version of what he was, not a boy or girl, but he never consciously- he'll say if he can hang his hat on one thing and be proud of himself for SPN is he gave everything to Sam. Everything he had and he didn't always have as much as maybe he would have wanted but that was just the way Sam came out through him and through dialogue.

He guesses there was one episode were he used a fake voice but that was French Mistake, and again that was Sam. He never did anything for the sake of Jared, and he thinks that also Jensen never did anything for the sake of Jensen, and he thinks that's one of the main reasons why SPN went so long, and why they were so trusted. For many years there were no producers in Van, all the writers and producers were in LA then they got Kim Manners and then he passed, then they had another couple years where there was no real creative producer there they just trusted them because they knew it wasn't like they were going to want to do a backflip because they thought it was cool in the next ep that's not true to Sam and Dean, and they wanna be as true to Sam and Dean as possible and so both Jensen and he were kinda just - he loves Sam, Jensen loves Dean, he loves Dean, Jensen loves Sam, and he wanted to do him justice so whatever happened was Sam. x

i think dean stan’s are so funny for saying “idk how people thought sam was THE main character in spn the first few seasons” because from a writing stand point dean stan’s are literally wrong. the pilot - the first episode that is going to set up the whole season focuses mainly on sam and sam’s decisions and his perspective. the episode where you’re getting the feel of the show is about sam’s decisions. they have the tragedy that sets up the whole motivate for the show in sam’s cradle. that’s where a big part of the narrative starts! then we see sam at college then his next decision is to go with dean. sam’s decision of going literally is key into what will happen in the future and in the episode. then of course another tragedy happens and it’s to sam’s girlfriend where sam specifically witnesses it in the same way that the tragedy for the whole show starts. the writers could have decided that once the two get back to the college they see the apartment go up into flames and the wreckage finds that the fire started near the ceiling and they can put the pieces together. but NOOO!! the writers specifically choose that sam would be there for this tragedy to happen in that fashion. also they choose the tragedy to happen in the same way - the motivation for the show starts with sam TWICE!!!!!! like girl that ain’t a goddamn coincidence! and then again sam’s motivation to want to kill the thing that ruined their life and to go with dean starts the whole rest of the show. like sam chooses to go with dean AGAIN!!! if sam didn’t choose/didnt have these events surrounding him than nothing in the show would get started. and it’s literally shown that in season 1-2 sam is the one with the overarching plot. azazel literally choose him! he didn’t choose dean!!

it’s just so wild because from a writing stand point yeah sam is the fucking main character but they also developed dean on the sidelines and people liked dean more so of course everyone is going to say that he’s the main main since the beginning. but realistically the show sets up that sam is the main main and dean is the one rescuing him! like i’m just frustrated as a writer because it’s so obvious in season 1-2 that sam is literally the reason that this show and plot line is happening. without sam the show would not have been able to start!

AU WHERE SAM DOESNT GO WITH DEAN IN THE PILOT AND GETS HIS LAW DEGREE AND THEN GETS INVOLVED IN DEANS SERIAL KILLER TRIAL

You know after reading and reading and reading peoples theories and the meta from before the spn finale aired and the meta writers reactions to the finale I think I have a theory of my own. We don't have any answers tho, so this is pure speculation. If you wanna add something to support or discredit any of this that's cool but there's too many things floating around. Know I dont have proof for this conclusion at all. A lot of what I say is just guesses based on previous facts.

This all came together in my head when I realized how much this finale REEKS of the original producers and who the show was originally for. It REEKS of Robert Singer. Like if the execs started saying they didn't want it, Robert Singer was the one pushing that the story was about the brothers. That kinda thing.

Then, I was thinking of the problems in this episode and it struck me these are all of Supernatural biggest issues and to be honest all of it feels completely deliberate.

Take the sexism for example, Supernatural in it's later seasons largely out grew this, we have Jody, Rowena, Donna, Charlie, Mary, Claire (and even a wayward sisters pilot with MORE women/girls) all making regular appearances. They're mainly good characters and mostly aren't there to hurt our boys. Rowena, of course, is the one outlier being very about herself but it's clear she still cares for them, I mean its part of her development. But they're all real, with character flaws just like everyone else. (And we have Death too and she was POC 😭 THANK GOD)

Now look at the earlier half of Spn, we have Ellen and Jo, who's appearances were far in between. There's Bela in season 3, recurring for quite a bit (5 eps), but she is a character that is only there for herself, definitely not found family (unlike Ellen & Jo), and she's got more episodes in season 3 than Ellen and Jo in season 2 who aren't seen again til season 5. The "fans" send in hate mail after hate mail to try to get these characters off, and eventually they are. Then there's Ruby who's character stayed for a whole two seasons and was a largely recurring character. Why does she get to say so long? She's a plot device. She's supposed to be there to betray Sam. She has to stay (plus Jared obviously likes her). But she's not just a character the writers like writing about. Same with Lilith. Obviously not as recurring but still a plot device. Did they get hate mail tho? You can bet on it. Why? because tHeY'rE gOnNa PuSh ThE bOyS (Dean and Sam) aPaRt ThE sHoW iS aBoUt ThE bOyS oNlY. Without even thinking about the hate mail, just notice how large the difference is from how women are seen in the earlier seasons to the later seasons. Misha got tons of hate mail too for being a character that could split up the boys (probably only being allowed to say because he a man, thanks sexist producers and execs).

Only after Castiel was killed off and then Castiel fans successfully (thank you guys) got him back on the show did the hate mail largely simmer, which means female character's were allowed to stay! Which has lead us to a show with a good amount of female characters. But can you imagine having to kill characters off time and time again because people keep complaining that the show is "only about the boys." Fun times really.

So now we get to this final and we see sexism. But it wasn't just the plain old regular sexism you find in the earlier days of spn. Because now, there ARE women to talk about, talk to. But this episode was DESOLATE women wise, unless they were used for plot (which is also sexist!). Small scenes, they're barely there. Women gets her tongue cut out. Random women from s1 gets killed. Sam doesn't SPEAK of Eileen. Nothing. No mention of any female characters from the boys mouths unless they were from/in this episode itself. That's WIERD. I know we've all said it. But that goes beyond forgetting about characters. I mean its SAM'S GIRLFRIEND for Christ's sake. There is NO REASON they couldn't have said Eileen's name. Notice how Sam's wife is just... faceless. This is literally an age old sexist trope. Like... one of the things about bringing Mary back to life for s12+ is that it takes this trope... of basically a generic mother, and gives her life and feelings, whether you like them or not, they're real feelings. They said Mary isn't just a mom she's a person. Mary's existence in the later half of spn is to fix this kind of female tropes that fall upon her character, to not let these her stay a 2 dimensional character. They said we should know she's more than just the mom who tried to save her kid. Do that is the exact opposite of Sam getting a nameless, faceless wife. The sexism of the old spn wasn't just brought back, it was completely amplified. It wasn't just accidental or some exec "fixing" the story it was DELIBRATE. Whoever wrote that, didn't do ALL OF THAT by accident. Because an exec or a producer who doesn't see the flaws in old supernatural isn't going to write it that deliberately.

Let's bring it back to s10 when Charlie was killed (singer was mainly to blame). Dead in the bathtub, age old classic of burying ur gays. If you were here you know people never let Supernatural live that down. THEY KNOW what bury ur gays means. Hell, Robbie Thompson left because of Charlie's death and you think the writers don't know what it means? I mean both Bobo Berens (especially) and Steve Yockey's careers are centered around LGBT+ storytelling and you think they don't know? They know. They know.

And Dean wasn't just apart of the bury your gays trope, it is so far BEYOND that. Dean being killed on a rusty nail/screw, the tongues ripped out, things that seemed to be meant for other people. Jensen's acting in the last two episodes was giving us "DEAN RECIPROCATES" but no one ever actually saying it. I think it's clear that Dean was killed for being Bi. They didn't address it for a reason, they just silenced him. His narrative was supposed to be about letting him be HIM for the first time, to say what his feelings are instead of having them miscommunicated, and instead of doing that, they just silenced him. And the more we look at this scene the more horrific it gets. The more it's a complete slap in the face and it's supposed to be. Some guy who knows nothing about the LGBT can't write a scene this horrific.

Some guy who knows nothing about Dean couldn't write a scene that deconstructs all of Dean's character development and gives Dean his worst nightmare. I MEAN DEAN WANTED TO LIVE HIS LIFE! THEY DIDNT HIDE THAT JOB APPLICATION (or whatever job related thing that was) IN THERE FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES THEY WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST SITUATION. Dean isn't Barney from HIMYM. If you watched HIMYM then you'll know Barney went from being a stereotypical ladies man and treating women terribly to being in love with a women and treating her right and working hard for it. The last episode of HIMYM (why its so bad) Barney's character development is thrown out and he's back to being a stereotypical ladies man. You don't need to know Barney's character very much to do that.

To kill Dean during a hunt his father never finished, to not have anyone at his funeral, to have Dean die young like his life didn't matter. Those are Dean's worst fears and you'd only truly know that if you watched the gin episode in s3, where they are basically laid out for you. You HAVE to know Dean's character to tear him apart like this.

This episode took all the core elements of the show and did a complete 180° the name of the episode itself is "Carry on" and Dean and Sam very much did not carry on. Sam grieving his entire life so that he good get to heaven and see Dean again. Dean being ready to live his life, despite the enormous pitfalls and learning to love himself only to be killed. "Family don't end with blood." Um.... it did in that episode either literally with Dean's death or you know BECAUSE NONE OF THEIR FOUND FAMILY WAS THERE. Not Jack, Not Cas, Not Eileen, Not Donna, Not Charlie, Not Jody, Not Claire... on and on we go. No one was there, nobody was even mentioned. Dean's funeral, no one even called that we know of. It was just Sam and Dean. Sam and Dean. And Bobby. Don't forget Bobby. But yeah Sam and Dean.

That's what the show is about right, the brothers.

Except it's not anymore. It hasn't been for years.

Cas not being there was deafening but it brought us to a major point. Becky. Becky's telling us about the terrible ending.

And many of us are wondering why would they literally tell us this is the worst ending and then... make it the ending.

Now before we move on, it very apparent many of you think Dabb doesn't ship Deancas. And Dabb doesn't care about the characters.

Say what you will about any plot holes in his writing, the point he is VERY GOOD at writing the characters, and giving us good ones.

Why do we know Dabb ships Deancas? (ill say when its cowrote, other wise its not) cowrote ep 8.02 - purgatory "I prayed to you, Cas, every night" "Cas, Buddy, I need you." "I have a price on my head, and I've been trying to stay one step ahead of them, to – to keep them away from you." 8.08 Hunteri Heroici - Cas helps them hunt! 😊❤ Dean & Cas have a serious convo about why Cas doesn't want to see/go to heaven. 8.22 Dean's mad at Cas. Sam's explanation of why Dean should be easy on Cas: "It's Cas." Dean then points out how he'd knife anybody else if they did what Cas did. 9.10 - Cas comforts Dean when Dean can't take seeing Sam (Gadreel) being tortured anymore. Also tons of Cas. 9.20 (bloodlines) - Canonical couple parallel "I was there, where were you" 9.22 The angels make Cas choose between them and killing Dean and he "gave up an entire army for one guy" 10.09 Claire's reintroduction. Cas heavy ep. DeanCas date. 10.22 THE PRISONER - u know the ep where Dean beats the shit out of Cas but loves him enough to not kill him.

We COULD keep going but I think I've made my point. If Robert Singer is the guy that is like "the show is about Sam and Dean only" Andrew Dabb is the DeanCas shipper. And you could even say a Cas stan.

Notice! How in s13 for SEVEN episodes we have a story that revolves around Dean's grief about losing Cas. Notice! How often the stories in all these seasons have a focus on their relationship. To me, when I was (binge) watching s12 for the first time, I thought damn this is really got a lot of DeanCas. So I went to look at who was in charge, who was writing. I saw Andrew Dabb, associated him with Deancas episodes, saw all the new writers, Bobo, and then I saw that Yockey is known for same sex stories and it clicked. Dabb assembled a team to give us Destiel. THAT WAS IN SEASON 12!!!!!!!!

The amount of people saying he's homophobic flabbergast me. Open your eyes! That isn't what's going on.

Imagine making a show and trying to right all the wrongs of Supernatural. Imagine trying to write the greatest love story ever told and you have the entire season planned out for it to end off beautifully, it may possibly be your greatest achievement when it's done and then boom. someone comes in and tells you you aren't allowed to make Dean bi or make destiel endgame, after he was most probably already given the go ahead.

Sure. You could imply he's bi or into cas still in a way. Still make nice-ish ending. just give everyone what the kinda want.

Or you could scrap the last season, nothing close to a canonical bisexual Dean Winchester or Deancas endgame in site. People can be done with it be happy with the show, continue to live their lives in ignorance as to how close they were to Canon destiel.

OR you can lead everyone to the very closest you can get them to what you were aiming for and then show everyone the ugly truth and reality. Light it all on fire. Burn the show to the ground in your wake. Try your darnedest to making these people's (the people saying no) pockets suffer. Show us, the audience, what happened. Show us what this show really is.

I've seen people talk about the ending being changed during covid but I dont think that happened. I think what happened was Dabb already had this season planned out before it even started. Obviously the details were wobbly but it was all lead up to this ending. Destiel endgame, Canon Bisexual Dean, whatever it was. They were ready to write the greatest love story ever told and then someone shut it down.

Imagine the pain that must have caused them to be told no when they already said yes. They must have been so excited to give this to us.

I think someone (some producers) told him what this show is "really" about. The brothers. Can you imagine, after being told no, some kinda bullshit like this is said to you: "Why aren't you bringing it back to the brothers, Andrew? that's what the shows about. What with all this homosexual stuff, you know the audience won't like that. Not really." Imagine the original producers pushing this kind of view on you. "You know when we started it was Sam and Dean. It should end with Sam and Dean." That kinda sounds like someone huh? huh.

So why give us a nice acceptable finale, when you can take every problem Supernatural's had either up front or behind the scenes and create a finale so incredibly bad that people don't want to watch it anymore.

Someone made a good point about how Sam was originally supposed to be the main focus (this isn't to put any hate on Sam or Jared). Dean and Sam are the main characters but Sam was supposed to be the focus and for Dean to have become the focus, must have annoyed the producers because... well here we are. They wouldn't listen to Jensen. The producers liked this ending. Jensen's opinion didn't matter to them.

In some ways, if this is really what happened, it can be seen as childish from Dabb. To hurt all of us like that. Yes, he's hurting the producers, the execs, the cw. But to hurt us? Yeah it stings.

But in other ways, if this is really what happened, this is Dabb showing us the muck and gunk under the shiny surface. The hate for Misha. The hidden hate for Jensen. The underlying sexism. The underlying homophobia. The people REALLY in charge don't care about us, they just want our money. He needed to open our eyes and free us, at least free the people that he was writing for. The people he sees that care about this show.

This is the ending the powers that be wanted and its a big fuck you for a reason. I dont think this is Dabb spitting in our faces for loving this show, I think this is him trying to get revenge for us.

But from here, you can see it how u want it. If this is really what happened, I'm not in charge of your emotions, if you wanna be mad be mad if you wanna be grateful be grateful. And you don't have to believe me either I said this is speculation.

Also, as for all of the rumors like there being shots to the confession scene that we didn't see, which Jensen himself implied, I think that might have been a last ditch effort to canonized DeanCas but obviously it was cut. Like the name change was pretty clear. As for Misha possibly having shot some stuff for 20 I dont know what to tell you. If it's true I dont know where the blame would lie.

I do think however, that if all this was the case, the writers were prepared to become villians here. I mean they told us the writers were villians with Chuck right? So. Who knows what went down so they could give us such a vile ending. It could've been the producers or the writers, who truly knows. I do think tho that people we "trust" did some pretty shitty things to push the narrative in certain directions so now one would see this as the actual ending that was coming.

So again do with my SPECULATION what you will. This was in no way meant to put Dabb on a pedestal or anything. Just meant to give a bit of perspective.

I'm sure someone has already talked about this, but ive been in firm denial this past half year and ive only now really thought about what this ending means and its hysterical lmao.

So we have cas, who is without any doubt the third lead at this point, dramatically confess his love to dean, one of the two Main characters, and then castiel seemingly dies.

In any normal show this would mean that castiel is gone for sure and they just buried a gay, but considering spn's history with characters staying dead, its pretty unlikely we wont see the third lead again, especially after such a dramatic confession and when there are still two entire episodes left. Its just common sense.

So then shit happens, they defeat god, we are explicitly reminded on multiple occassions that castiel is not there at the moment and that dean very much wants him back and that god probably has the power to get him back. Anyways Jack, castiels son who is also sad about cas not being there, becomes god and then just leaves, seemingly without resurrecting cas.

Time goes on, five months if we are ready to believe that, and the boys return to their normal (?) life of hunting, however we see that the boys are making Plans for a life after hunting. They very briefly mention cas and Jack, no mention of the confession and seemingly no Plans to contact/rescue either of them, despite it being EXPLICITLY POSSIBLE TO DO SO.

Dean then dies on a lame ass hunt that contradicts information established as early as season 1 (how the fuck are Vamp mimes in the journal when John didnt even know Vampires existed). Neither sam nor dean choose to pray to cas or Jack to save dean from dying.

Dean dies and meets bobby in heaven. Bobby tells him that Jack apparently rescued cas from the empty and has been there. That entire. Time. While dean obviously thought he was dead. Five months. After confessing his love for him. He didnt check in with him once, dean didnt ask Jack about cas and cas didnt come down to earth that entire time.

So now dean goes on a drive that, going by sam's appearance on his deathbed, goes on for approximately 100 years and in that time he doesnt meet up with anyone, including castiel, who is confirmed to be in heaven and DIED to save dean after confessing his feelings.

This is absolutely ridiculous and its exactly what tptb want us to believe happened.

Im honestly curious how people who dont actively repress the memory of the finale interpret this. Is dean so deeply homophobic that hes actually glad cas died so he doesnt have to see the queer Angel ever again? Is cas embarrassed by showing his entire emotional ass and is actively avoiding dean? *puts on my english major hat* im about to put more effort into this than anything ive ever written for college. ok top 10 supernatural symbolism...this isnt in any particular order its just whatever i think of first. also it might not be actual top 10 im just remembering random shit. this has gotten out of hand so im putting it under a read more

1. the most obvious one, the impala. many have discussed this before me and im probably just repeating what others have said, but the impala is an extension of deans body/a representation and mirror of both his physical and mental state. obviously the impala gets destroyed in the season 1 finale when dean is dying. and he rebuilds it in season 2, while he is trying to regroup and rebuild from the death of his father. ive seen a post about how dean losing it and smashing the impala is a metaphorical form of self-harm which is :(( also, the impala staying covered and hidden away while dean is living with lisa and ben with this reading is so interesting. i do think dean loved the idea of a normal life with lisa and ben more than the reality (not that i dont think he loved them! any scene with dean and ben makes me soft). but this also makes it that much sadder because supernatural considers dean unable to live a life that doesnt involve hunting; the impala is hidden and dean is a shell of his real self. in season 7, they once again have to hide the impala away and use other cars. the impala is gone and hidden away; something is wrong. dean is hurting. he isnt his full self. why? whats missing during that time? cas. and in season 10, when dean is a demon, he stops caring for the impala. you know, because something is wrong with him. because hes a demon.

2. dean knocking over and breaking the angel statue in the beautiful room. he makes it fall with a single touch, hardly a push. and all it took cas was a single touch for him to fall and break. dean, of course, doesnt mean to shatter cas, though he does mean to make him fall. dean repeatedly argues with cas, acting as the human opposite to cas’ emotionless faith in heaven, pushing him toward the edge, pushing him to rebel, pushing him to choose humanity. and it works; cas learns to love through dean, and through that he rebels against heaven and falls in “every way imaginable.” and when he hits the ground, he breaks, shattering all his faith in god and everything, leading into the godstiel arc as he tries to put his pieces back together.

3. the streetlight as a halo over cas’ head in on the head of a pin. it flickers when anna appears, which is physically meant to show her power. however, it also shows cas’ wavering faith in heaven. interesting how anna, the angel who chose humanity over heaven and decided to fall, is the one making cas’ halo flicker. he is beginning to question things. he is beginning to feel. he is beginning to fall.

4. deans leather jacket in the first few seasons. its not actually dean’s, of course. it belonged to john. dean picks it up and puts it on while he and sam are searching for him, physically shouldering the weight of johns expectations of him. its too big on him. and dean is 26 at that point. hes well past done growing; he’ll never fit perfectly into that jacket. no matter what he does, he’ll never fit perfectly into johns expectations: the perfect son, the perfect soldier. and leather jackets are heavy even if they fit well. there is a physical weight on his shoulders now, a manifestation of the weight of the world and the weight of being a parent for his younger brother and everything john has piled onto dean since he was a child. he eventually stops wearing it (bc some absolute legend stole it irl), and i wish they’d taken that as an opportunity to have dean grow out of the shadow of his father, but supernatural is a bad show so they didnt.

5. mary, who just happens to be named after the mother of jesus. the perfect wife, the loving mother, the tragic figure, the victim, clad in white, the color of innocence. except shes not. she was raised a hunter. shes lived the bloody dark side of the world hidden from most. she loved her children, but she wasnt a perfect wife and mother. she didnt know how to cook. she and john fought, and he even moved out for a few days, and she needed her four-year-old son to comfort her. she is not the virginal mother; shes an imperfect person just trying to do her best. the dabb-era deconstruction of the very concept of mary makes me crazyyyyyyy if you couldnt tell.

6. these shots from 9.14 captives

in the first shot, we have a statue of cupid over cas’ left shoulder and a cross over his right. and in the second shot, there is a bible on the right side of the table, and nothing on the left. and cas turns to the left. he turns away from god, continuously choosing to turn away from stability and what he always knew in favor of love and humanity. there is nothing on the left side of the table precisely because there is nothing certain in cas’ future with humanity, but he chooses them anyway. plus, cas inventing free will by falling in love with dean retroactively makes this shot that much better; there is nothing on the left side of the table precisely because there is nothing written for him. cas falling in love with dean created an empty space in gods story. this show is pure fucking insanity oh my god.

7. serafina the angel (the pantheistic view in that episode makes me crazy but we wont get into that). serafina, whose name is audibly similar to seraph, the class of angel that cas is. coincidentally, the only seraphim we see in the show are cas, who falls in love with dean, and akobel, who married lily sunder. serafina, who fell in love with adam, the literal progenitor of humanity. and who is the character in supernatural that has always stood for humanity as a whole? dean. serafina literally had me convinced that deancas would happen in the finale.

8. the removal of -iel from cas’ name. dear god this one drives me crazy and i doubt it was on purpose. castiel, the shield of god. for eons he existed as a warrior and tool of god. and then along comes dean winchester, who does a very human thing. he gives him a nickname. cas. he removes the “of god” part. he removes god from cas, because dean doesnt value him for being a good soldier or a good son. he values him simply because hes cas. and cas questions everything, his loyalty to heaven, his blind faith that god would one day return. he is no longer a warrior of god. he is simply cas, the shield, and this time he chooses to be a shield for humanity, for the winchesters, for dean. for the michael sword. the shield protects the sword. cas dies shielding dean. this got off topic but its just sooo insane.

I wonder if fans would be upset if the last time we see Cas is him and Jack watching over Sam and Dean and we only see his back and wont say anything(if Misha didnt film for ep20) and Jack says something like "Are you sure Cas? Just watching them afar?" And Cas just nods and hums. Implying Cas doesnt want to interfere with their post Chuck life. At least we would get a confirmation that Jack brought him back from the Empty to mentor him.

I mean, the reason I wouldn’t be super into that is that it takes away Dean (and Sam’s, but more specifically Dean’s) right to choose with Cas.  Dean has been stopped from speaking his truth to Cas twice now, for that choice to be taken from him?  For him never to know true peace because Cas won’t show himself?  That would be tough for me to swallow simply because of the nature of his arc this season.

Cas has, over and over, thought that the boys are better off without him, that he is expendable to them.  He’s never seen, really, what it does to Dean when he dies.  For him to see that pain and not understand that his absence is what causes it?  Idk, it’s not like I would be mad at that per se, but it wouldn’t satisfy their arc the way I would want it to.

Dean and Cas, in my opinion, have to get closure, they have to see each other.

You had no idea that when you would see him is when you were put on the rack.. your biggest fear had been death, so when death came for you, you were terrified, you were not expecting death, you were on a hunt, a demon sent hell hounds at you when your back was turned, you died in Sam's arms.

Yes Sam had been there, he was there helping you with the hunt. But he didn't see the hell hounds either, he didnt know that you would die right there, he didn't know that within a few short months he would loose both the people closest to him.

After what felt like months of sitting in irons in a dungeon cell, you were dragged to the rack… the rack of torture it's where all souls sent to hell face their regrets, their fears, their darkness.

He slashed you again instead of saying any words then he sliced once more into your forehead. You screamed again louder this time, it was almost ultra sonic soundwaves, as once more the memory started…

This was a month before Dean had died, it was a good day, slow and steady but with the hunt of ghouls, ghouls blood and guts everywhere you and Dean both covered in monster gunk, but Dean before entering the impala now gets down on one knee and starts serenading you went something like this:

Dean: marry me Juliet you never have to be alone I love you and that's all we ever know, I talked to my bro he welcomes you to the family, it's our love story baby please say yes!

Your eyes went wide with shock your boyfriend of almost 5 years on one knee with a ring proposing while you both are covered in monster guts…

Yn: yes! Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!

But this time Dean didn't yell or slash you, when he pulled out for your memory.. he instead signalled for the guards to bring you back to your cell…

Dean marched right up to Alistair and immediately grabbed him by the neck lifting him off the ground..

Dean: what kind of twisted game are you playing here

Alistair: I assure you Dean I have no idea to what you refer

Dean: you have been telling your lackys to illusion themselves to look like the love of my life for however long know. But this one, this latest one is sickening… how the hell does this one have all those memories…

Alistair laughed for he had no idea that Dean had not figured it out ..

Dean: what is so funny you skanky demon

Alistair: that really is your girl Dean, she really is here… she arrived a while ago, mauled by hell hounds tragic really… she sold her soul just for information whether you were okay or not. So the young girl you just slashed, tortured and peered into the memories of really was your girl.

Dean all angry and in a huff, now goes to your cell as alistair is left hanging on the wall where dean had him, and your cell door flies open as dean comes in once more up to you and peers again into your memories… this time going to the one memory that was both a memory and a fear, more like a nightmare.

Dean sees the day that he died, he sees as he dies in your arms, he then sees your reaction to after his death. You were so scared, angry and distraught he watched you fall apart.

Then still in the memory a few days later he watched as you sold your soul for the chance to know if he was alright or not.

He felt your fear, pain, confusion, anger. He felt it all for he not only knew that you were the real thing but now he knew what you went through to get here.

Dean snaps out of the memory and backs up against the wall but before he can say anything he slashes you 17 times, before a bright light engulfs you both.

Dean wakes up a while later in a pine box, he busts his way out and realizes he has been brought back. He starts down a long road to try to get himself to civilization, to try to find you, or at least your body.

You wake up in a morgue, your body had been preserved, frozen, put on ice. When you started to wake up your body started thawing.

The doctors called Sam and Bobby both of whom rushed in only to see you shoot straight up breathing heavily.

Sam: someone hand me a blanket… now!!!

Bobby: I want your security team to give me this rooms footage now…

Sam brought you a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate and some water. They sat you in a private room hooked you with an IV and brought you some clothes from the gift shop. After speaking with cops and doctors you were finally left alone with sam and bobby.

Sam: whats your birthday?

Yn: 01-21-1993

Sam: do you know who you are?

Yn: yn yln

Sam: do you remember what happened to you?

You shivered the thought of the day you died was horrific for you. It amplifies your thanatophobia to a 1,000,000,000,000,000… but you nod, not wanting to speak, instead you break into tears… then remembering what happened in hell.

Sam: keep yourself calm for a while, try to tell us what happened to you… where did you end up…

Yn: sam, bobby, i ended up in hell, i saw him… dean he is down there too.. Or was i dont know if he got swept up in the white light too or if it was just me… the last thing i remember is dean coming into the cell where i was held and peering again into my memories kept calling me fake and asking me to reveal my true form… but something spooked him, something about the last memory he viewed spooked him. He was slashing me when the light over took me and my sight. Sam it was awful, i feel so terrible, the cold blackness in his eyes i cant ever look at him the same way again, but if im back what if he is too…

Neither sam nor bobby had thought about this, neither one of them believed it to be possible. Usually to bring someone back from the dead a demon deal of some kind. You were alive now cause of a miracle, but something stirred within sam and bobby enough, that bobby called ellen and had her radio out and see if anyone could check on the site where dean had been buried.

While sam helped to get you, dressed and checked out. The doctors were a little lenient realizing you had been dead a few short hours prior to now you should be with your loved ones, so they booked you for a follow up appointment.

Dean has been in a abandoned or closed convenience store already, taken some playboys, some bottled water, some snacks, and money… then he found a pay phone he decided to call bobby.

Bobby who was with you and sam answers the phone. Called dean a hooligan and threatens him before he hangs up most aggressively. When asked bobby said it was just a stupid kid pulling a prank.

The 3 of you headed back to bobby’s upon exiting the hospital. No one expecting anyone to show up there cept maybe jo or ellen or Jodi Upon them hearing your alive.

Other than that their main priority was to catch you up to speed, what you had missed, the signs, the hunts everything but all you could focus on was the fact that your fiance the love of your life might also be back from the dead.

Yn: guys I feel something…

You grip your shoulder as a mark starts to appear, but it looks tattered and broken.

Sam: what the hell is that…

Bobby: let me check some books in the mean time Sam fill her in on what happened to you… she deserves to know the truth, ya idiot. If Dean is back he will probably be coming this way, and we both know that she and he will both want answers, we need to provide Them with dignity, something after today I don't have alot of at the moment. Now take care of her before I loose my mind, I'm gonna go over the books.

Bobby goes into he study, you and Sam are in the kitchen, you begin to rummage for something to make for dinner.

Sam: what are you doing kiddo

Yn: I'm looking for something to make us for dinner. I need to do something to feel useful.

Sam: you need to get better

Yn: Sam I am fine. I'm alive and kicking. What I need is to feel useful, right now it means making dinner, geez guys all the fast food, what happened to a home cooked meal.

Sam: good point on the last bit… but what is this obsession you have with wanting to be useful.

Yn: well for one thing I cant really hunt till i fully recover, for another cooking doesnt really take alot of effort.

Sam: i mean you are the better cook, dont worry about it. Im sure it will be fine.

Ha thats what you all thought, for later on that day you were out with rumsfeld for a walk, along the trail where you had been taking in the scenery. Dean however was pulling up onto the lot in a beat up old truck that he had hotwired from the middle of butt screw no where, you were not there, sam was in town getting groceries like a good man. Both you and sam would soon come home to find dean and bobby having a very strange reunion.

Dean walks through the front door, bobby comes out of the study and looks up from the papers he is holding. He drops the papers and grabs a knife from the block.

Dean: bobby its me…

Bobby: like hell it is… dean winchester died 4 months ago. You dare to bring his form into this house, let's see how you like a taste of Silver

Bobby lunges with the silver knife at Dean who dodges and grabs it away from him.

Dean: your name is Robert singer you became a hunter after your wife was murdered. I wouldn't know that if I wasn't the real thing.

Bobby: your a shape Shifter or a revenant

Dean looks down at the knife he is holding and then rolls his eyes.

Dean: if I was either of those would I do this

Dean takes the silver knife and drags it across his forearm. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. Bobby immediately goes up to Dean and pinches his cheeks.

To which Dean simply pushed Bobby off slightly before Bobby hugged him. Pulling back though Bobby slaps Dean cross the face…

Bobby: you know damn well ya idjit that you left that poor girl alone Dean, you made a deal to save Sam, you died again to save Sam, you have a girl who is crazy enough to walk this hunters path with you and you choose to save your brother over her. You really aren't smart are you.

Dean: I know Bobby, I know I fucked up, I fucked up real bad here Bobby, I just wasn't in a good place, but then Sam came back and all the stuff with Lilith and demon blood and and and… but she Bobby, yn is the one thing that's always been constant. I know I hurt her when I proposed then I died, well that was the worst mistake of my life. But there was something else, something that those demonic fuckers down in hell wouldn't tell me but they kept appearing in the form of YN and kept telling me that she was gonna be an amazing person within a few years. But I to this moment still have no idea what the hell they meant. But when I was in hell, I don't know if she told you this, but she was brought to me, I was torturing souls on the rack, I was loving it, slicing and dicing but when she was put on the rack, and I peered into her memories like I had done with all the others I saw me and her things we had never told anyone. Things that only she would know, I didn't know it was actually her till before we got swept up in balls of white light. I woke up in a pine box in the middle of no where ville thanks for that by the way, and I assume my bride to be is around here somewhere but I have a question for you. What the hell is going on with the massive yard clutter outside, did a convention of broken cars roll into town…

Bobby slaps Dean up side the head for that joke before showing him the newspaper clippings and the reports on each car…

Bobby: people have been claiming that cows and other such wildlife just started randomly, started around the time you and yn died.

You were just coming back up the to the house now, rumsfeld ahead of you barges through the door, knocking Dean over with kisses.

Bobby: figure out what you are gonna say now, before this girl walks in the door… you have 2 seconds before she walks in.

Sure enough as soon as dean gets up off the ground and is about speak to bobby, you walk right through the door, you pull your nine gauge out of your boot and point it at dean’s back. This starts a fight, one that you intended to do yourself, dean turns round to push you right out the door.

Bobby just lets this little spat play out, for he knew the truth but he also wanted you to figure it out for yourself. He watches as sam pulls up, sam comes up to the porch avoiding the crossfire.

Sam: how…

Bobby: well that is the answers we need to find out, but she came inside and pointed her 9 gauge at him. He wasnt gonna go through the same speel he went through with me not 10 minutes before. But her having her gun at him, now that just made him edgy. He wants her to realize that its him, not some revenant, or shapeshifter.

Sam: well i guess we just let them fight it out, either they will end up in the lake and alright or one of them will knock sense into the other.

They both went inside to put away the groceries that sam had brought home. You and dean were still going at it. You both were not being gentle about it either…

there would be hell so to speak to pay when you both figure out the truth.

Dean: okay demon your tricks are no longer working what's with the phony disguise tell me who you really are ..

Dean screamed at you as he held you pinned beneath him. You managed to pick one of your legs free, you were now royally pissed off and would take angry for 1000 dollars if this was jeopardy. But you managed to flip your fiance and yourself into the lake.

You held him firm restraining his arms and limiting his movement, as you spoke with a bunch of force that you had no idea would ever ever come out.

YN: dean it is me, like actually me… you saved my life from a hunt gone wrong, you trained me, you took my virginity from me, you are the only man i have ever ever loved, and to top it all off, i think im pregnant… i know i know its not even remotely possible considering i was DEAD… but i dont know i feel different like something is growing within, and i know its your baby dean… now if this doesnt work then i dont know what will.

You kissed him and felt him slowly relax into the kiss, you shared all your memories of hell, what dean did what happened what torture you experienced, dean however was the one to break the kiss, you loosened your grip on him and felt him relax, but his reaction was to hug you instead of yelling.

For he had seen what you went through and he knew right then and there that you were indeed the hero of this day…

Dean: yn im so sorry.. Im so sorry for what happened to you. I know you would not have wanted this to happen like this , but if you are indeed pregnant then we will take it as it comes, but you are the most important thing in my life, im so sorry for what i did in hell, it wasnt right but it also was not me, i wasnt in control of those actions or thoughts. I was fed lies by the demons and i was their puppet. Now lets go see if you are indeed pregnant and let those 2 people on dry land know that we are okay.

Sure enough taking a huge leep of faith you both got out of the lake, sam and bobby were both waiting on the porch for you guys to come back to the house. They had towels and let you both get changed and dried off. Sam dried your gun off, and cleaned it for you.

You and dean then went into town, bought a few pregnancy tests, and went back home and immediately to the bathroom, you peed on the stick and waited in the arms of your fiance. But just as the results came in thats when sam walked in.

Sam: omg wait are you…

You walked over to the results, you immediately collapsed to your knees.

Dean: i assume you are up here with good reason sammy…

Sam: yes i found something it might be related to you both coming back. Apparently this guy says that he cant enter his barn without hearing this ringing sound. He said that it sounds as though some sort of high pitched sonic siren type deal is going off.

Dean: ya ya i heard something similar to that when i woke up.

Sam: well you and yn should go check it out. Like right now, like as in it can't wait, and plus you need a few hours to get there… like 4 hours in particular.

You got off the floor and marched up to your brother in law…

Yn: are you insane I just found out I'm pregnant… I'm not…

Dean: don't worry sweetheart I will do most of the drive… plus maybe we can make time to look at baby stuff…

You looked at your fiance, and nodded. Dean turned to Sam as you packed a duffle bag…

Dean: send me the coordinates. We will manage from there.

You and Dean were prepped and out the door in 10 minutes. You were in the passenger side of the impala, Dean didn't put on music but instead stuck his arm around you, and you were lulled by his heartbeat to sleep.

This was not a light situation for you and Dean arrived at the barn and went inside you had your gun, Dean had his… you guys brought everything you thought you might need.

That's when you heard it… you and Dean both heard it… a loud high pitched siren like noise. That's when a man appeared at the far end of the barn. Through the noise Dean managed to get off a few rounds of rock salt.

It had no effect. Dean and you stand huddled together before the hand prints on yours and deans arms glowed.

Castiel: Dean, yn. My name is Castiel I am an angel of the Lord. I was the one who gripped you both tight and raised you both out of perdition, this child you are carrying will save the world, will take the place of one of you destined to die in the apocalypse.

This made you and Dean stay still, neither for you moved nor spoke… it was just silent as you and Dean tried to wrap your minds around what you had been told.

We all know how blinded Castiel is to like everything, so just close your eyes sit back and let me tell you how hard it was to love him and him understand that I loved him.

i pretty much had fallen in love with Cass when I first met him. Dean had told me not do that but Cass blue eyes and jawline had me the minute I saw him. dean and Sam had seen my fawned expression when he would shoot me down.

Dean was always there at your rescue. He'd tell me that it was Cass just being Cass, and that because Cass was an angel he didnt have emotions like love or pretty much anything else. According to Dean that was the reason it was okay for Cass to be a dick to me.

So for year, I made moves, undetectable moves. The sofy touches when Cass would come back from a hunt gone wrong. Just spending time with Cass trying to get close to him, physical and emotional. I was doing it, because no matter what the boys said I was going to try.

I still wonder what pushed him to say something to me, if it seeing me with someone else or the dress I had on that night.

We had a case that night that involved us all going to a mansion, it was a party. It was almost a ball but it was wasnt so we all had to dress nice.

Dean wore a dark purple suit which brought his green eye color out. Sam wore a deep blue suit which also brought his green, blue, brownish eyes out. Cass wore a darker suit color than he already wore and insisted that he keep his trenchcoat on, his suit also bringing out his ocean blue eyes.

Me on the other hand wore a red short dress, with the only pair of black heels. You see I had to choose between the 3 boys with who I was going to walk in with. I walked up the boys they all standing in the library all staring at me.

"So you gotta choose someone Y/n" Sam said. "ummm, how about Dean?" I said Dean looked up my body shaking his head, and walking towards me grabbing my arm, qalking me towards to Impala.

When we got out the venue. We went over the pla, we'd dance a little go find and kill the monster without any of the other people noticing, and then they would continue dancing to blend in with the rest of the people.

Sam walked in with Cass. Although Cass kept looking back like he didnt believe that I had chosen Dean instead of him. "Why'd you do that y/n?" Dean asked me as we walked towards the stairs. "Why'd I do what Dean?" I said back to him. Knowing what he was referring to. "You know exactly what I am talkin about. Choosing me over everyone else, which I personally don't mind, but you must know that this is going to do something to Cass right?"

"A kick in the ass" type of thing.Dhow hom what he might not get if he doesnt get his ass in gear and finally ask me out!" I said tugging Dean towards the huge front doors.

The thought may have crossed my mind when I frist choose, and I may have choosen Dean purposefully. Maybe it qss my way of kicking some sense into Castiel, or maybe it was my way of kicking some sense that I shouldn't just be looking at Cass maybw there is someone else that can handle the type of person I am.

Dean and I walked into the main room, a make shift ballroom. We looked around seeing Sam and Cass leaning up against the wall watching the other people dancing and drinking. Cass's eyes staying on Dean and I. Dean grabbed 2 champagne glasses that were pasting by us.

Handing one to me and keeping the other for himself. While I sipped at my drink Deans hand made its way around my wasit pulling me closer to his own body. The black slim high heels I wore that night allowed me to be close to Dean height.

Ad we walked around Cass's eyes again never left Deans hand that was still wrapped tightly around my wasit. I chuckled a little at an idea had gone throught my mind. Dean looked down at me asking me."What are you chuckling at or for?" He had that look that was almost like he knew he shouldn't have asked me what I was chuckling about.

"If you must know Dean, a very good but maybe bad just came up in my mind. Do you wanna hear it?" I asked Dean shook his head confirming that in fact he did want to hear my idea.

"I was just wondering how much wr could push "us" on to each other before Cass came out here and made an ass of himself. Trying to take me away from you." I said with a smirk written across my face. Took a little bot more of explaining until Dean finally caught on to my idea.

Our eyes locked, I finshed the remaining amount of my champagne placing it on the waiters table that was conveniently walking by us. This time I didnt care to look around for Cass to see if he was really there or not, I was going to enjoy myself regardless of who was watching and what we were really here for.

I also think that Dean was on the same train of thought not caring to mention that were here for a hunt or that we had a monster to kill. I grabbed Dean collar pulling him close to me. His hands landing on my hips, and my hands losening around his collar making there way to connect around his neck. "Chuck, if i didnt know any better I would say and anybody else would say we probably look like a couple form any direction." Dean said sending a ahiver down my spine. Ny body now pressed up against Deans muscled chest.

We danced all night missing the hunt. We had only danced for a few hours but if i had to be honest those hours were the best hours of my life since I would have to say since I met the two Winchester boys and Castiel. Sam came over tell yhe both of us that him and Cass had taken care of the hunt and that Castiel was currently waiting in the Impala.

We walked out an extra pep in my step letting my hips ass show the way for Dean. I could feel Deans eyes looking up and down my ass, all the way down to heels. But I couldn't figure out where the staring was coming from more specifically that was starring at my tits. Looking over at where the Impala sat there was infact not Sam sitting on the back end of Baby, but infact Castiel who was definitely starring about my tits.

Dean close behind me smaking my ass he finally caught up to me. the yelp that fell from my lips felt like so good. The stinging that was left behind because of how hard Deans hand came down on to my ass was even better. Dean then leaded me to the back door, opening the door and kissing my forehead before slamming the door shut, and walking around to start the engine up. Cass had to stop starring at the both of us when he knew that Dean was ready to get the car started. Sam was fast asleep, Dean driving sending me into a lullaby. The entire drive back to the bunker was quiet. I was looking out the Impala window, the trees, lights, and houses passing by us in what seemed like light speed.

Sam woke up, Dean getting out after cutting the engine and coming 9over to open my door. Cass was far in front of everyone else probably to pissed to realize he didnt have a key to the bunker door. I walked with Dean taking my high heels off since the dancing had most likely given me a few blisters.

Dean walked me to my bed room door kissing my forehead once again. "I hope tonight was just has wonderfu lfor you as it was me, and I also hope that this did something to kick Cass's ass into gear to finally say something about his feelings for you." Dean said. I kissed him on the cheek thanking him "You know if nothing come of him and his feelings what do you say you and I give us a shot. I'd say we be a pretty awesome fucking pair." I said he winked back at me and hugged me tightly then went to go to his room.

I turned around cathing Dean before he went into his room. "Can I ask a favor?" He walked back over to me humming. " What can I do for you y/n?" "Can you unzip me Deano!" I said with my own wink. He shook his head up and down putting his hands on my hips and lining them up with the zipper pulling it down to my hips. Once he was done I once again thanked him and walked in to my room shutting the door behind me.

I changed into an old borrowed flannel and a pair of my shorts. To see if Deans smack had left any marks yet qhich unfortunately they hadn't. I just had got under the cover a knock came to my door "Come in" was all I said. In walked a still suited up Castiel. Without any sort of hello or goodnight Cass came at with a shit ton of questions.

"What did you do with Dean? Why'd you choose him over me? Why'd you dance with him? Why'd you let him smack your rear like that?" He said in all the same breath.

"FUCKING HELL Cass stop!" I screamed at him. " Because Cas your so fucking blind to everything I ever did I only did everything tonight with Dean because we both it was going to kick you in the ass and make you finally expresse your feelings. But all you did was question me. Castiel I have loved you since the moment I first met you."

"Good because I think I love you too Y/n." Cass said coming to the side of my bed grabbing arms pulling me up into his chest and kissing me softly. I pulled him down into my bed with a snap of his fingers his suit was off leaving him in his white t shirt and underwear, i made space for him in my bed.

I feel asleep with the man I was in love with and am still in love with. His arms wrapped around me his heartbeat keepung md grounded. After now what only seems likes months, but has been 4 years of been with Castiel I am finally able to say that I truly happy with this man this Angel.

im a really big believer that people dont need romantic partners to have a fulfilling life and that characters can have a happy ending without a love interest but i dont think that applies to sam & dean ? the only reason the idea of settling down was ever shut down by dean in 11x04 was stated -- he had been led to believe that such a thing was not possible, not because he didnt want it. his djinn dream in s2 is an early indication of his want but that desire didnt die out as time went on, only became less realistic (according to dean). pamela telling him "why do you only want what you cant have" in s14, dean attitude towards sam getting with eileen in s15, dean wistfully watching garth & bess dancing, dean romanticizing his parents' love story in 12x01 and 14x13 develop the idea that dean sees the value in love, but he is told throughout the show that his participation in it is dangerous & poisonous. he was lied to and eventually, after years of being denied, he believes it's not best for him. that was not out of choice. i genuinely think it would be nice for a story to show characters choose to lead a life void of romance, but dean was never afforded that choice. i dont think that's making everything about romance either, it's about dean building a healthier life for himself, which inevitably involves letting in people besides sam -- and now that he has a choice in the matter, romance just might take a seat at the table

(Y/n) had the best sleep ever. She did worry about monsters killing her and her family in the middle of the night. Nor did she worry about Hydra coming to take her away. She was slowly waking up when she felt something moving her hair.

Opening her (y/e/c) eyes she was met with Lokis green/blue ones. He smiled as he leaned forwards to place a soft kiss on her lips. Placing a soft peck on her lips he pulled away as a the two heard multiple footsteps coming into the living room/kitchen.  

"Good morning you two." Steve said as he, and the winchesters came into the living room. Y/n chuckled as she seen the bed head Sam had. Loki had a smile on his face until the oldest winchester spoke up.

"So I found a case back towards home. Demons I think; so I figured we'd leave today since we finished the case." Dean explained as Steve fixed a pot of coffee and Sam sat on a couch next to the couch where Y/n and Loki were laying.

"We're leaving today?!" Y/n exclaimed; sitting up really quickly.

Dean looked at her confused as he started to speak. "Yeah, I mean we only came to do the job. Its like every other hunt we go on."

Loki felt her body tense as she stared at the older winchester. Sam could tell she was tense. Dean looked at Y/n confused and then to Sam who gave him his famous bitch face. A face that pretty much said, 'you should understand whats going on.' "Do you have all your stuff ready?" Dean asked as he took a sip of his hot black coffee that Steve had just handed him.

"No, i dont." Y/n answered as she frowned, slowly getting up from her spot on the couch.

Deans green eyes meet her (eye color) eyes. He seen the emotion behind them and spoke softly.

“Look, I know you love staying here with all your friends. But we have a job to do. I understand if you want to stay, but me and Sammy. We have to go. Hunting is our life.”

Y/n nodded as she looked at Dean. Loki got up from the leather couch walking with y/n. The two walked hand in hand to the elevator to go to Y/ns room. He could tell there was something wrong, but he wouldn't push her to talk about it. As they approched her room loki took his hand out of her and cupped her cheeks looking into her eyes.

"Are you okay, my queen?" She shook her head slowly. She wasn't okay she didnt really want to leave. She loved hunting with Sam and Dean, but she also loved being an avenger and being with Loki.

"I just. I don't know what to do." She took a deep breath as Loki took his hands from her face to open her bedroom door. They walked in and they both sat on the edge of the bed. Loki stayed quiet allowing Y/n to speak freely.

"When the guys and I came here, i thought that I would want to leave when it was time. I didn't think that you would want me. I thought when i left that it was the last time I would see everyone." She slowly started to explain. "I don't really want to leave. I love being here with the avengers. I love being with you! But i also love hunting with Sam and Dean." Loki wiped the tears from her beautiful Y/s/t face. Looking into her Y/e/c eyes he gave her a soft kiss on her lips.

"No matter what you choose, I promise you, my queen. I will always support you and your desision." He promised. "Why do you have to be so amazing?" Her voice was muffled as she had her head pressed into loki's shirt. Loki was going to give a smart reply, but didn't when she started to talk again. "I love hunting, but i love you more. I just don't know what to deside." "Well, my love. What ever you choose, I'm sure everyone will understand." Y/n looked into his green/blue eyes with a soft smile on her face. "I love you." She spoke the three words that made his heart beat harshly in his chest. She leaned forwards bringing their lips together. Loki kissed her back as soon as she brought her lips to his.

After a few minutes of a heated kiss a knock was heard at the door. Y/n pulled away, but loki wasn't quite done. He continued, kissing down her neck leaving soft kisses, love bites and hickeys. "Loki, there's someone at the door." She moaned as he sucked on her spot on her neck. "They will leave eventually." He mummbled against her neck, bringing cold chills down her spine. The knocks continued louder this time. "Fine." Loki said letting Y/n get up from off the bed. Loki rolled off of her and stood up. He walked to the door as Y/n made herself look presentable.

"Sam, what's up?" Y/n said as she stood beside loki. "I was just making sure you were okay. You seemed upset about leaving." He explained himself. Y/n nodded looking at Sam with a soft smile. "Yeah, I'm okay. I have something I want to talk to everyone about. Can you tell everyone to meet me in the common room in 20 minutes?" Y/n asked her bestfriend. Sam nodded as he leaned in to give her a hug. He kiss the top of her head (IN A FRIENDLY/BROTHERLY WAY). 

"We're always here for you, you know that right?" He said softly as he looked down at her. (If you don't watch supernatural, you probably don't know this but he is for real 6'4). She nodded as she pulled away. Loki wrapped a protective arm around her give Sam a glare that said not to mess with his queen.

Sam got everyone together in the common room while Y/n got a shower and dressed. She had something important to say to the avengers and the Winchester brothers.

Choosing to continue hunting:

Everyone grouped up in the common room. Each avenger/hunter wondering what it is that (Y/n) had called a meeting for. Y/n and Loki exited out the elevator; Y/n seemed nervous as Loki was holding her hand. His thumb trying to help her anxiety.

“Hey guys.” Y/n greeted them with a soft smile. She stood in front of them as Loki went to sit beside his brother on the leather couch.

“So what’s going on?” Natasha asked looking at her younger sister. Everyone looked at Y/n waiting for her to answer the question black widow had given her.

“Yeah, so you know how I’ve been having a bit of trouble about leaving? Dean you gave me the choice of staying here and being an avenger or leaving and continue hunting.” Y/n started.

She was so nervous she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to get the words out.

“I’ve decided that I’m going to keep hunting. When I was an avenger I could’ve brought hydra straight to you guys. And that’s not what I want. They still don’t know I’m alive. Plus hunting as been the best for me! I love doing it! I love saving people and being with you guys.” She said looking at Sam and Dean with a smile.

“What about you and Loki?” Thor questioned as he looked at his brothers lover.

Loki smiles softly as he goes to answer his brothers question.

“We will continue to be together. Whenever she had time to visit she will. Whenever I Choose to I can. As long as my Powers allow me to. Plus with modern technology we can communicate.”

Thor nodded satisfied by the answer. “This won’t be the last time you guys see me. It never is.” Y/n smiled looking at the group of the people she loves to call her family.

“We know it’s not. You just better be careful.” Steve said as he stood up. He walked over to the (y/e/c) eye woman. Giving her a friendly hug. “We are going to miss you. So you’re gonna have to text us every so often, so we’ll know your okay.” Bucky said as he stood beside Steve waiting to give Y/n a hug himself.

“Group hug!” Wanda called out as she stood up. Skipping happily as she gave Y/n a tight hug. Everyone piled into the hug. Even Sam and Dean.

“I’m gonna miss this though.” Y/n said softly. Everyone chuckled as they hugged.

-choosing to stay with Loki and the avengers. Instead of leaving with Sam and Dean.

I couldve messed up and hurt you guys. Or I could’ve brought Hydra straight to you guys.” She looked at the Winchester brothers while talking.

“Just because I’m done hunting for right now. Doesn’t mean I can’t come help you guys when you guys need help. Hell I’ll do anything for anyone in this room. I love all of you. But that’s my choice.”

Dean was the first to do something. He stood up and walked over to her. He whispered something in her hear as he gave her a tight hug. Sam then walked over to them and gave Y/n a hug after dean had finished hugging her tightly.

“You’ve always been a sister to me, and hell of a hunter. You just never give yourself enough credit.” Sam whispered softly.

“If you need anything call. Well come straight here or where ever you are.” Y/n chuckled nodding her head as tears started to form in her beautiful y/e/c eyes.

Sam pulled away wiping the tears from her beautiful face. Kissing the top of her head before backing away.

“Family, always and forever.” Dean said looking at her with a smirk. “Always and forever.” She said quoting their favorite show they binged watched together.
