The dead pixel analogy is probably my favorite thing about this godforsaken game. One of my favorite analogies in game history. Every time I think about it it brings a tear to my eye. The dead pixel. A flaw you could only see if you stood really, really close. A detail that's lost to anyone keeping their distance.

Anya telling Curly that the dead pixel always lives in the back of her mind, but Curly never got close enough to see it, it's the kind of writing that I don't see in games much anymore.

He was never willing to get up and look for it because it never affected his view of the bigger picture. He was never going to fix it because he never noticed it in the first place. Nobody cared about the dead pixel until they were standing eye to eye with it.

But that was all Anya ever saw. That one damn pixel. They never heard her until it was too late.

Tonight I'm making myself cry over Anya telling Jimmy, "Make no mistake, this isn't my worst moment, far from it. In fact it's the best one I'll ever make," right before she takes the pills. Because to her, it probably is. She begged for help for so long and nobody was willing to help her, and this was the only way she could help herself. Jimmy always knew she was hiding from him. He always knew the door wasn't stuck. She knew she only had so much time before he got to her by any means necessary because she always saw him for who he truly was. And sitting with Curly locked in the med bay, painkillers in hand, she took her power back. I only hope it was peaceful.

If there was a word I could describe mouthwashing as it’s “Corporate Horror” (a word I just made up)

That specific uneasy fear you feel in an office Job or just any corporate job in general where there’s no place to go and no one to talk to and you’re stuck with the worst people for survival and there’s nothing you can do except wait and watch as your ambitions and dreams rot away as you’re stuck wasting years trying to escape this nightmare

(I’ve worked in a corporate before , it’s a unique horror)
