My solo piece for the DDVAU Christmas Zine!!!! Merry Christmas @ xmaruu11 and @ kitsuneisi !!

I also did a comic which I will be posting at a later date, as well as participating in some group projects!!

This zine has been SO much fun, and I’ve improved so much throughout it!!! This is my favorite drawing I’ve done all year (tied with another- yall’ll see that later) and it’s thanks to the zine that it exists!!!

DDVAU-vember: Day 20- Seasons

Each of the pairings has a different season:

Gem and Pearl: Spring

Lizzy and Joel: Fall

Ren and Martyn: Winter (for obvious reasons)

Tango and Jimmy: Summer

I would like to ramble about a small theory I have with DDvau for mixed mutants.

Like Siren/Hybird or Siren/Witch.

Is that there connected.

Now I can’t really explain this with Lizzie since we haven’t seen her yet (in canon comic) so I can really only use Jimmy and Grian as my example.

And it has to do with their wing sizes.

Grians wings are large, almost as wide as he is tall, multiple sets as well. (2 on his head, one on his back) while Jimmy’s wings are smaller and only one set, if spread maybe even just reaching his shoulders.

We also know that Grian seems to have trained his witch powers a lot, which means he’s pretty powerful. And from the kid art we got of Grian he doesn’t have wings, since he’s still a kid and they either didn’t grow yet or his power was still weak.

While Jimmy seems to have just started training his power, like he held off on it for years and only started recently. His mind-reading has a one meter radius now, and it’s shown he’s growing more in that radius and power.

So here’s my theory, that- at least for witch/mutants- that the amount of control and growth you have over your witch abilities, your mutant features/power grows with it. Which would show how drastic the difference between Grians- someone who used to train his power- wings and Jimmy’s- someone who only recently started to train his power- wings are.

Of course this could be all false and I’m making myself look like an idiot by even typing this. And Jimmy’s wings are just smol.

I've got a few questions concerning some... older people in grian's series's.

ok, so

1: did the other evo members go to college with the more well known evo members? like, we all know grian, pearlo, bigb, jimmy, and martyn. but what about systemzee or salem? would netty be like martyn's girlfriend? and what about taurtis?

2: SPEAKING OF TAURTIS, what is grian and taurtis's relationship like in ddvau? that's only if he's been thought about.

3: another person based question. this doesn't have to be answered, but I'm genuinely curious. what about YHS and TS people??? aam(ew)? aphmau? yuki? and on top of that, would lizzie know about them? (she was in TS.)

I've got idea for answers, but i want to hear it from the source. I mean, all I was thinking was that the other evo people could be friends, but not like close friends like the main 5 evo members we know. and then, taurtis and grian could be like childhood friends. and then sam could be like a highschool bully. since they were technically highschoolers the entire time. I feel like lizzie would know about it, but not too much as opposed to taurtis or grian.

but, those are just what I'm thinking. I would love to hear your answers to these questions of mine!

What was your thought process on some of your stareater designs/ where did you draw inspiration?

HELLO!

hmmm, I think I just really wanted to start a fan series, last year sort of rediscovered my love for the borderlands series and their art style and character design

I think maybe for stuff like pearl blog very much inspired by her season 9 base as well as the sort of vintage sci-fi look!!!

And specifically with Jimmy, Lizzie and the Avian species as a whole is very much inspired by the Zora and Rito from botw

Id say though alot of the inspiration is taken from Borderlands

I love borderlands soo much I just wanna eat that games art and characters style (and I don't play shooters ..aside from maybe Splatoon if that even counts)

And other smaller inspirations like, Final space, Nausicaä and maybe a lil Arcane, despite enjoying fantacy sci-fi as a genre, I can't really think of many exsmaples haha, you could probably ask @kairamuwu cos he might have some different inspirations than me

OH ALSO just fan series in general!!! I like it a lot of series like ddvau and boatem knights and just the cool stories ppl write with these characters

That's probably what inspired me most to start this series, seeing the overwhelmingly talented fan work created ..with fanart and writing, just got me all inspired to start my own with Luke. And we're having a lot of fun!!!

Gem (She/They), Gemini (She/Her), Taylor (She/Her), Lia (She/Her), and Nadia (She/Her) are all different Geminitay fictives. Gem is her arachnid origin from afterlife, Gemini is her esmp1 character, Taylor is her blaze origin in new life, Nadia is from secret life, and Lia is from hermitcraft 10.

There's me (He/Him) and Twilight (Any Pronouns), we are both multisourced Grain introjects. My sources are cc!Grian and his hc9 persona, while Twilight's are hc in general and evo. There's also Shadi (He/Him) and Zach (She/Him). Shadi is from hc10 and Zach is from the ddvau.

Charlie (He/They) and Gegg (Any Pronouns) are both Slimecicle fictives. Charlie is his qsmp character and Gegg is his qsmp characters egg character.

Colin (They/Ice), Marty (He/Him), Martyn (He/Him), and Matthew (He/Him) are all InTheLittleWood fictives. Colin is his chillager origin from new life, Marty is his piratessmp character, Martyn is his 3rd life character, and Matthew is his limited life character.

Jimmy (He/Him) and Jim (He/Him) are both Solidarity fictives. Jimmy is his esmp1 character and Jim is his esmp2 character.

Cat (It/Paw/She), Grace (She/They), Shelby (Any Pronouns), Shrub (She/They), Shub (She/Birb), and Shubble (She/They) are all Shubble fictives! Cat, Shelby and Shub are all different afterlife origins. Grace and Shrub are the two different empire seasons, and Shubble is her originssmp character.

Flor (He/Him), Major (He/Ice), and Scott (He/Him) are all Smajor fictives. Flor is esmp2, Major is esmp1, and Scott is his mothling origin from afterlife.

Bug (He/Him), Keki (They/He), Myth (He/Him), Sal (He/Him), and Sausage (He/Him) are all mythicalsausage fictives. Everyone except Sausage is a different afterlife origin and Sausage is his esmp2 character.

Tango (He/Him) and Damien (He/Him) are both TangoTek introjects. Tango is both life series and hermitcraft and Damien is hc9.
