My art for the 2019 Tropefest Every Song Is About You

Summary: Castiel, a successful musician with the band Fallen, lost everything that he thought mattered. Grieving the loss of his band after a tragic accident, Castiel decides that he doesn’t need to make music anymore. Crowley, his manager, is not okay with this plan. Enter Dean, the former member of the band, Winchester, who needs something to help fix what’s broken in his life and his career. He has his own internal demons to fight, and the fact that Castiel still hates him after all these years isn’t exactly helping anything. Despite all that, they form a new band together and slowly unravel the past.

The One With the Loft by teacass

I got to work with the amazing @teacass for the Dean/Cas tropefest *¬* This is such a fluffy feel-good story, and the ensemble cast is AMAZING ♥ Go read it, you won’t be disappointed!

Summary:  Imagine an old industrial building somewhere in the sunny San Francisco — with all its sixteen flats and sixteen families. (Or friends. Or just roommates. Or, well, brothers.) Imagine the mayhem, the drama, the romance. Imagine a young attractive mechanic named Dean. Did you know he’s pining for the hot neighbour from the loft upstairs? No, not the short and noisy one. I meant his brother, the one with those dreamy blue eyes. Let’s call him Castiel, okay? Imagine Castiel — he is a handsome, young ex-accountant who likes coffee, yoga, and Dean from apartment 3C. You got all that? Great. Now this is the story of how they got together.

In our 5k challenge, authors have to write a Dean/Cas fic featuring one trope, but they can’t exceed 5,000 words in length. This year, we invited artists to participate as well. We had a total of 53 fics - many with accompanying art - submitted for this year’s challenge.
