"I suppose so. Although it does mean you do not always take the time to admire what you have, and how fleeting it all truly is." 

"That’s true, I guess anyway; I want to live my life as much as possible as if I will never die you know? That’s the best thing I feel I can do"

"Well, I would not say I am the greatest magic user in existence." Although he certainly thought he was to some extent. It was a toss up between him and Thoth. Or perhaps Isis. "i certainly hope you will learn patience; for magic and war are similar in that the best practitioners of them know the value of patience." 

"I will follow your lead. Whatever you think is best. After all, you know magic better than anyone I've ever met. I am honored that you agreed to teach me." She rubbed her neck. "And I apologize ahead of time if I grow impatient," she said softly, smiling with him.

"Of course not. It is easier to live as though you will live forever, although you know that you will not. It often causes more than a few problems between people."

"Of course it was. Generally speaking, the idea that what you have would be lost is always terrifying. Then again, here you are. Perhaps you merely need to learn to accept death as a consequence of life, and to understand that while you are living, you are also dying." 

"I guess you’re right about that, death is a weird thing and I’ve nearly faced it once before, probably one of the most terrifying experiences of my life"

"Complicated and elaborate is what magic is, but so is swordplay. After all, a sword in the hands of a child is an unwieldy thing, heavy and not useful at all. You cannot teach someone the advanced techniques before they learn the basics, and the basics are rarely useful to the impatient. Personally, I adore the small magics, if only because it teaches you how much one can truly do without relying on flashy and less than subtle techniques. Thinking like that drives people to find greater power, at the cost of them understanding how to be powerful."

"You are more than welcome l to try if you want. But nothing to complicated or elaborate. I wish to learn something j can use in battle," she said with a nod

The temptation to make a Bacchus muse is strong. 

The only problem is that his facecanon would be Jason Derulo or Flo Rida, because what says Bacchus more than drunkenly singing terrible R&B songs while yelling about the club all the time?

"In what respect? I have mourned the fact that they died foolishly, and that they acted in haste, but when you consider that when they die they end up back with you, its sort of odd to feel sadness towards them."

Would you rather walk only the earth for eternity or never walk it again for all eternity?

"Never walk on it again. There are near infinite planets on near infinite realities. It's a simple matter for the gods to remove one and replace it with a different planet."

"Well that would be sort of stupid on my part, considering that if that were to occur I would cease to exist, along with all of creation, so no."

"Divine offspring? Only two. Mortal offspring? Well I am a male god, and so they number in the thousands... although that was more than a few eons ago across multiple realties, some of which no longer exist."
