Shortly after Route 66 leaves downtown Chicago and turns southwest onto Ogden Ave., it passes the UIC College of Medicine. And a couple of blocks from the Mother Road in front of one of the buildings is this marker commemorating the location of the West Side Grounds, home to the Chicago Cubs from 1893-1915.
