@dbshipsweek, day 5 food/baking! Collab with @sonaevy who drew this ultracute GoChi and flustered Goku! Part of my ficlets of flustered DB men series, that you can find here.
When Goku was about to take a seat at the kitchen table, he paused, as his gaze, as if having a life of its own, was instinctively drawn to the sight of Chi Chi. He always thought she was a beautiful sight when fully absorbed in her cooking, stirring the large, steaming pots and pans on the stove. He took in the tied-up straps of her kitchen apron, which always accentuated her beautiful waist, and the aromas that emanated from her busy, yet organized, actions in the kitchen. He couldn't quite make out if his wife or the promise of good food was causing the saliva to pool in his mouth. It didn't help that he had been carrying a burning question with him all day. He didn't know why, but he wanted to ask this question only to Chi Chi. He swallowed down the beginnings of nervousness, as his attention zigzagged between the traditional fish soup simmering softly (of which he could smell that it was nearly ready) and the skillful hand movements with which Chi Chi finely chopped the fresh herbs. Unable to contain his bubbling curiosity any longer, he leaned with his back against the kitchen counter next to her. With one hand scratching the back of his head, and with a look filled with innocent wonderment, he asked, "Hey, Chi Chi... what do people do on TV when they press their lips together and move their tongues around and stuff?"
Chi Chi, slightly irritated by the seemingly indecent question, paused the mixing of the herb blend, which would soon form the foundation of her curry. Her brows furrowed slightly before shooting an exasperated look in her husband’s direction. "Goku, that's not an appropriate question to ask." She had just caught Goku's smile faltering slightly before she turned back to her herbs. She lamented that Goku knew very well that that 'look' was the most effective weapon against her. Guilt sank into her bones, like spilled red wine on a white carpet, as she tossed the herbs with flour and water into the pan to make the curry roux. Perhaps, there had been a few times when she had been curious about how she would feel if their tongues were to meet, to deepen their usual small but sweet pecks on the lips. After all, they were husband and wife, weren't they? She had read that kissing was often part of marriage. Chi Chi halted her knife mid-chop, realizing the annoyance she’d been feeling moments ago had melted away like snow on a spring morning. In spite of Chi Chi's reserved views, a mischievous smile began to curl on her lips.
In a sudden and surprising move, Chi Chi turned around. She swiftly grabbed Goku's head between her hands, flattening the upright hairs under her fingertips on his neck. With half-lidded eyes, she drew him in for a firm, passionate kiss on his lips. Goku's face turned beet red, his eyes widening in astonishment. When he gasped, Chi Chi experimentally pushed her tongue between his lips, where she boldly caressed it along his own. Time seemed to stand still for a few seconds, as they got used to the foreign, but exciting sensation. Goku had been temporarily frozen with shock, but quickly thawed, and responded hastily, eager to discover how Chi Chi's mouth felt from the inside. Chi Chi tasted sweet and of the herbs she’d just sampled, a richness of flavor that was quickly making him woozy. It was starting to liquify his insides into jello and he wanted more of it.
Suddenly remembering that the rice was cooking dry, Chi Chi breathlessly released Goku, immediately turning back to the sizzling pans, with a hint of a blush spreading across her cheeks. Goku just stood there, his face still flushed, unable to find the right words to express the sensations still whirling inside of his gut. With a mix of embarrassment and wonder, Goku muttered, "I... I think I understand now." He watched Chi Chi quickly slip on two oven mitts to remove the pan from the stove, as images of their nocturnal intimacies flashed through his mind, sending jolts straight down his spine. He made a mental note to initiate this ‘kissing thing’ later that night.

Dragon Ball Ships Week 2023 (2) - Day 4: Beach/Swimming Pool
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Reconnecting Pairing: Pan/Uub with minor Bulla/Goten Characters: Son Pan, Bulla Briefs, Marron, Son Goten, Trunks Briefs and Uub Summary: Pan and Uub decide to go to the same pool and a meeting is inevitable. Do not repost, claim to be your own work or use it without perrmission. Cross-posted on AO3
It was a typical summer day, though the inhabitants of West City and cities nearby were suffering from a massive heatwave.
“It’s so freaking hot today that even the air-conditioning doesn’t seem to be working and cool the heat down.” Bulla Briefs was lying down on her bed, cooling herself down with a fan.
“I know.” Pan replied, from the floor. “I feel like I’m gonna melt any second. Not even ice is helping today.”
“Hey, why don’t we go to a swimming pool?” Marron suggested and both girls looked at her. She seemed to be the one that didn’t mind the excessive heat that much.
“That’s a great idea, Marron!” Bulla exclaimed, sitting down. “I’m in.”
“I like it, but it’s gonna be crowded. It’s the kind of place everyone goes to when the weather is like this.”
“It’s true, but honestly who cares about this? At this point I’m down for anything to help me cool down.”
“Alright then, let’s go!”
****
Pan couldn’t help but feel a little upset at the fact Bulla and Marron drew attention from some guys on the street. It also made her roll her eyes at their stupidity and lack of common sense. Not that she thought she wasn’t pretty or anything like that, but her two best friends effortlessly became the center of attention anywhere they went. With a long silent sigh, she shook her head and tried to push such thoughts away.
“Pan, is everything okay?” Marron asked in her usual soft voice as she gently waved her hand in front of her friend’s eyes.
“Huh? Yes, I’m sorry.” She quickly smiled at her. “I was just spacing out for a moment. Nothing to worry about.”
“If you say so.” The blonde replied, but didn’t seem convinced in the slightest.
****
The public swimming pool was crowded, but not like the girls thought it would be. Still, it was quite hard for them to find a good spot. Pan laid down on her towel and decided to listen to some music while Goten and Trunks didn’t arrive, which didn’t take long.
“Hi, girls.” Goten said cheerfully and then bent over, removing Pan’s earphones. She had her eyes closed, so she didn’t notice their arrivals. “It’s not cool to listen to music when other people are around.”
“Bite me.” She took a deep breath. “I know, I just didn’t want to deal with guys looking at Bulla and Marron and ignoring me.”
“Why would they ignore you, Panny?” He sat down next to her. “You’re just as pretty as them.”
“Of course you’d say that, you’re my uncle.”
“No.” He touched her knee and gave it a light squeeze. “I’m saying this because it’s true. It makes me sad you’d even think that about yourself.”
“I don’t think I’m ugly, uncle Goten.” She sat up and looked at her feet. “It’s just that they draw more attention from guys than me. And honestly, why wouldn’t they?”
“That’s stupid, Pan. Yeah, they’re pretty, but you are too. You’re pretty your own way and shouldn’t compare to them. I’m sure there are guys out there who’d love to date you.”
“I suppose so.” She shrugged; her tone still skeptical.
Goten moved to sit beside his niece. “I know so. And who knows? You might as well find someone here today.”
She bit her lower lip. “Uncle Goten, can I ask you something?”
“Sure, Panny, you can ask me anything.”
“Please, don’t call me Panny. It’s embarrassing now.”
“Sorry, I can’t do it, Panny.” He teased her with a grin.
“Ugh.” She pressed her palm against her face, but was smiling as well.
“What do you want to ask?”
“Have you ever messed up with someone so badly you don’t know if you can ever make it up to them?”
“I believe you can always make it up to anyone. Unless you committed a crime or did something very bad, everything can be solved with a heart to heart conversation. You just have to be honest with yourself.”
“What if it doesn’t work?”
“Well, then you did everything you could. It’s not on you anymore. But if you mean something to this person, they will understand and forgive you.” Goten assured her. “I honestly don’t see why they wouldn’t. You’re a wonderful person, Pan. And I’m proud and happy for this fierce and beautiful woman you’re becoming.”
“Thank you so much, uncle Goten. It means a lot.”
“Of course, Panny.” He hugged her. “You deserve to be happy.”
The sun was shining at its full force and about two thirds of the people in the swimming pool were actually in the water. The rest was getting tanned on their towels.
“Come on, Pan!” Goten said from the pool. “The water is really nice, you should get in.”
“In a little bit.”
“Okay, but you’re missing out.”
“Hey, Goten.” Trunks approached him. “Isn’t that your father’s pupil over there?”
“Where?” He looked around and grinned. “Yes, that’s right! It’s Uub. Hey, Uub!”
The young man blushed heavily upon hearing his name being called and seeing who had done it.
“Come here, join us!”
Pan felt her heart racing and her cheeks blushing heavily when she heard his name. She thought she would go unnoticed, but there was someone paying full attention to her.
“Pan, why are you blushing?”
“What are you talking about, Bulla?” She screamed, drawing some attention to herself. Her face was blushing even more, but she didn’t really care. “I’m not blushing.”
“Yes, you are!” Bulla insisted. “You have a crush on someone!”
“I do not! And can you please keep it down?” Pan pleaded. “I don’t want to be the center of a scene here.”
“Fine.” The blue haired woman backed down, but Pan knew quite well she wasn’t going to let it go. She also knew she wouldn’t fall for that. But for the time being, she had to avoid talking to Uub.
Bulla turned around and looked into Goten’s black eyes intently. He looked back at her and placed his hands on her hips.
“What are you thinking?”
“What if we set Pan up with Uub?”
“Bulla, I really don’t think it’s a good idea. She’s old enough, she’s capable of finding her own dates.”
“I know, but I thought maybe we could help her. You know, give her a push.”
“Uh, I’m not sure.” He squeezed her hips very lightly. “You know as well as I do that Pan doesn’t like that. In fact, no one does.”
“You have a point.” Bulla ran her hands through her boyfriend’s bare and wet chest.
“Whatever happens, she deal with it the best way she can.”
“I know…” She bit her lower lip and looked up at him again. “But she’s your niece, you know? Don’t you wanna help her?”
“Please, don’t go there.” Goten said firmly. “Of course I wanna help her, but only she can decide who’s suitable for herself or not. It’s not our place to do it.”
“Great, so we can come up with a plan to set them up.” She grinned.
“Bulla, did you hear what I just said?”
“Yes.” She nodded. “We’re gonna give them a push and let them work it out afterwards.”
“That’s not what…” Goten sighed in frustration. He was aware it was pointless to knock some sense into Bulla sometimes.
****
Pan spied the hall, to make sure she wouldn’t run into Uub. Not that she didn’t want to see him, but she didn’t wanna risk bumping into someone else if she was talking to him. She also didn’t know what to say if she ever ran into him by accident. It would be a very awkward moment. She couldn’t help but think he was avoiding her just as much, and she didn’t blame him at all. As soon as she made sure it was safe and walked out of the changing room, she collided with him.
“Hey.”
“Hi.” He blushed a little when he looked into her eyes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you.”
“It’s okay.” She assured him. “I didn’t see you as well.”
“Right.”
“So how have you been?” Pan asked, breaking eye contact with him. “It’s been a while since…”
“Yeah.” Uub interrupted her, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. “I’ve been good. Still training with your grandfather from time to time.”
“I can see that.” The young woman felt her cheeks blushing heavily after checking his well-toned chest. That made the boy blush even more.
“What about you? How have you been?”
“I’ve been good too. You know, busy with college.”
“I get it.”
“Yeah.”
“Well…” Uub quickly glanced towards the pool and then back at her. “I guess I’ll see you around.”
“Wait!” In an impulse, she reached out and grabbed his wrist. “I think we should talk.”
“Pan, I don’t think we have anything to talk about anymore.”
“Right.” She let go of him. “If that’s what you think.”
“That’s how you made it seem last time we saw each other.”
“What?” The brunette woman was taken aback with his statement. “Is that how you saw it?”
“Was there any other way to see it? You left me.”
“Okay…” She bit her lower lip and looked around, to make sure they were still alone. “I want to explain myself, so can we go somewhere quieter?”
“Pan, I still think we don’t have anything to talk about anymore.”
“But I do. Please.”
Uub looked into her piercing black eyes and took a deep breath, defeated. “Alright.”
The two friends walked into a coffee shop nearby about fifteen minutes later. Pan sighed with relief after realizing neither Goten nor her friends were day, making it a safe place for them, at least for the time being.
“You can order anything you want, it’s on me.”
“You don’t have to pay for me as a way to make it up.”
“I didn’t…” Pan stopped talking when she looked at him and saw his expression. “Okay. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright.”
“So…” She began, uncertain. “As I said earlier, I want to explain myself.”
She paused and looked into his eyes, as if she was expecting him to say something before proceeding. But no words came out of his mouth. She bit her lower lip and took a few more seconds before speaking again.
“Okay, so… it’s not what you think.”
“You already said that.”
“Right.” She pressed her palms together nervously. “I wasn’t ready.”
“Is that your excuse? You could’ve just said it.”
“I didn’t want to hurt you.”
“You did a great job on that.”
Pan didn’t like where the conversation was going, but she knew she couldn’t say anything. He had every right to be upset and hurt.
“I’m sorry.” She said eventually. “I know that saying I didn’t mean to hurt you won’t make anything better.”
“No, it won’t.” He replied. “You’re the first person I know who reacts badly to ‘I love you’.”
“In my defense, you took me by surprise. I didn’t know how to react, since we never really talked about being in love with each other.”
“And running away like that was the solution you found.” The tone of his voice was as sharp as a knife.
“I don’t know what else to say. I panicked, okay? I’m aware that it hurt you, and I’d take it back if I could. I regret it everyday, trust me.”
“I find it very hard to believe.”
“I can’t change the past.” Pan stretched her arms and touched his hands tentatively, just to see how he would react. Much to her surprise, he didn’t take them away. That gave her the push she needed to keep going. “We’ve known each other for so long. I can’t imagine my life – or myself, for that matter – without you anymore. And I really don’t want to.”
“What does that mean though?”
“It means that I’m sorry about what I did and if you let me, I want to make up for all the hurt I’ve caused.”
“Hmmm.” Uub replied very calmly, which caused Pan to begin to lose her temper. “How exactly?”
“I don’t want to run from my feelings anymore.” She took a sip of her drink. “I want to make us official.”
He narrowed his eyes, feeling very suspicious. “Right.”
“I thought you’d be happy about it.”
“It’s hard to believe anything you say now, to be honest.”
“I mean it.” The brunette girl stood up and grabbed his arm, pulling him up as well. “I want to be with you. And I want to tell everyone about it. No more hiding.”
“Still not really convinced.” The boy said, and Pan could tell his walls were beginning to come down. She was definitely going to use that in her favor.
“What if I do this?” She stood on her toes and wrapped her arm around his neck, pulling his head towards her for a kiss.
He resisted at first, but quickly let his defenses down. She seized the opportunity to wrap her other arm around him and smiled when she felt his around her waist, pressing her body against his. They pulled away from each other eventually and let their foreheads touch.
“What about that?” She asked. “Is that enough to convince you?”
“I think so.” He couldn’t help but grin. “That’s more than enough for me.”
“Come on.” Pan took him by the hand. “We gotta tell everyone.”
****
“There she is!” Bulla shouted when Pan walked into the swimming pool place again. She let out a piercing scream when she noticed she was holding hands with Uub. “Oh my God!! Marron, do you see this?”
“I do.” The blonde nodded. “But you don’t need to be so loud. It can be embarrass them, and we don’t want that.”
“I’m just happy Pan found someone! You two make a beautiful couple.”
“Thank you.” Pan blushed and looked at her uncle, who was standing behind Bulla and had his arms around her. He gave her a subtle and warm smile.
“It’s true, you really do.” Marron echoed the bluenette. “I had no idea you two were seeing each other.”
“Yeah, it’s a long story.” The young woman blushed even more, while Uub rubbed the back of his neck and looked away. “What matters is that we’re here now.”
“That’s really nice and all, but I still want to know how you two got together.”
“Bulla.” Goten softly called her out and she bent to her right, to look at him.
“You don’t wanna know?”
“I think it’s something private. They will share it if they want to. If they don’t, it’s okay too.”
“You wanna know!” She pressed her finger against his chest. “I can see it in your eyes.”
“I think it’s time for us to go home.” Marron intervened, in an attempt to help her childhood friend.
****
Goten looked over his shoulder when the group was making their way to the Capsule Corp and saw Pan was the last one on the sidewalk, so he purposely started walking slower to catch up with her.
“So... Uub, huh?” He put his left arm around her shoulders.
“Yeah…” She blushed again and looked down to hide it from him.
“Hey, you don’t have to be embarrassed with it. There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.”
“I know.” She finally looked at him. “You were right, by the way. Everything can be solved with a heart to heart conversation.”
“I told you. So he’s the guy you were talking about by the pool?”
“Yes.” She confirmed. “It’s quite a long story, to be honest.”
“You don’t have to tell me, if you don’t want to.”
“Maybe one day I will.”
“No pressure at all.” Goten squeezed her shoulder lightly. “Do your parents know about it?”
“Not yet.” Pan bit her lower lip. “But I was wondering if you could be there when I do.”
“Of course. I’d be happy to.”

Dragon Ball Ships Week 2023 (2) - Day 1: Karaoke/Juke Box
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Title: Karaoke Party Pairing: Erasa/Gohan Characters: Son Gohan, Son Goten, Chi-Chi and Erasa Summary: Gohan attends to Erasa's birthday party and she makes a move on him. Do not repost, claim to be your own work or use it without perrmission. Cross-posted on AO3
“What?” Gohan raised his eyebrows at the paper in his hands and had a confused look on his face.
“A karaoke party.” Erasa repeated with a lovely smile on her lips. “You’re going, right?”
“Uh…” He scratched the back of his neck. “I’m not sure… I can’t sing, so a karaoke party isn’t for me. I’m sorry, Erasa.”
“Hmmm…” She didn’t bother hiding her disappointment. “I understand that, but are you really going to let that stop you?”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“You never try new or different things.” She looked right into his dark eyes and he felt his cheeks burning. “How do you live?”
“How do I… live?”
“That’s right.” She nodded. “You don’t seem to do things teenagers do. When do you have fun?”
“I… I…” Gohan looked around nervously, desperate for a reason to end that conversation, but couldn’t find any. So he went for the only option left for him. “Oh, look at the time! It’s getting late and I need to go home. My mom must be worried. I’ll see you tomorrow, Erasa!” He yelled over his shoulder and waved at his friend while running down the hall.
“Gohan, we’re not finished! Come back here!”
“I’m sorry, I really can’t.”
****
Gohan sat on the rooftop after dinner that night. He stared at the full moon and the stars as he let his mind wander for a while. He couldn’t stop thinking about Erasa had asked him earlier, and he hated to admit it, but she was right. He never had fun. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to sometimes, but his future was on the line. Besides, he didn’t socialize much because things could get out of hand. He sighed deeply and lied down.
“Gohan?” Chi-Chi’s voice echoed in his ears and he turned his head to his left, where she was standing. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, everything’s fine, mom. Do you need anything?”
“As a matter of fact, I do.” She moved to sit beside him and embraced her knees, avoiding any eye contact with him. “I need to know what’s on your mind.”
Gohan couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at that. He placed his hands behind his head and stared at the sky once again.
“I was invited to a party.”
“That’s great, son!” She cheered and pressed her hands together. “Whose party is it?”
“Ah, it’s from a friend from school.”
“Videl?”
“No.” Gohan shook his head. “Erasa. I don’t know if you remember her. She only came here once.”
“Hmm, I don’t remember hearing that name before.” Chi-Chi placed her index finger under her chin and looked up, trying to search about it in her mind. “Either way, are you going?”
“No, probably not.”
“And may I know why not?” She inquired and their eyes met for the first time since she joined him.
“Huh?” The teenager raised his eyebrows with surprise. “What do you mean by that? I have to study.”
“There’s nothing wrong with taking a night off, sweetheart.” He was taken by surprise when he felt her hand over his.
“Mom, are you okay?”
“Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Well, normally you’d say I should study as much as possible, to become a great scientist.”
“Yeah… I started looking at things differently when your father died and Goten was born.” Chi-Chi squeezed his hand lightly. “So I say you should go to this party.”
Gohan bit his lower lip, clearly contemplating the idea, but still unsure about it.
“If you want to, that is. If you don’t, it’s fine too. As long as you’re okay with whatever decision you take.”
“I know. Thanks, mom.”
“You’re welcome.” She smiled warmly at him and then looked up again. “Are you feeling better now?”
“I am.” He nodded. “I really needed to have this conversation.”
“I’m glad to hear that.” She give his shoulder a light squeeze before standing up. “Alright, being here makes me a little dizzy, so I’m going in. Are you?”
“In a few minutes. The sky is very pretty tonight, so I want to look at it a little more.”
“Okay, don’t take too long to go inside. It’s getting a little chilly here.”
“I won’t.”
****
The week went by in the blink of an eye, to Gohan’s relief. Everyone was talking about Erasa’s party and what they’d be wearing for it. Eventually she stopped asking him if he was going, but he could still see the disappointment in her eyes sometimes when they exchanged glances. They made him feel uneasy. To make things worse, he couldn’t stop thinking about what he and Chi-Chi had talked a few nights ago. Maybe he should go to Erasa’s party after all. If he wanted to embrace his earthling side, he would have to act like a normal teenager. That included socializing with other people, even if they did things he didn’t agree with.
****
Goten was happily swinging his legs on his bed and laughing quite loudly while reading a comic when Gohan walked into their shared bedroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
“What are you reading?”
“It’s a comic Trunks lent me. It’s so funny, Gohan. You should read it.”
“What is it about?”
“Oh, it’s about a boy who tries to be a super hero, but fails incredibly.”
Gohan couldn’t help but think that story sounded a lot like Great Saiyaman, except the last part. He could never be a failure as a hero.
“Let me see it.”
“Gohan, don’t you think this boy’s disguise looks like yours?”
The older boy looked down and raised his eyebrows. “It really does. I guess the writer found inspiration on his outfit.”
“Suddenly it’s not so funny anymore.” Goten frowned and threw the comic aside, crossing his arms right after. “You’re so much cooler than him.”
“Haha, thanks Goten.” Gohan chuckled and turned to grab some clothes in his drawer and wardrobe.
“Where are you going?”
“I have a party tonight.”
“I thought you weren’t going.”
“Yeah, I changed my mind.”
“Can I go with you?” Goten asked full of hope and Gohan felt his heart break into a million of pieces.
“I’m sorry, Goten. It’s not a party for children. But I promise I’ll take you to that park nearby tomorrow.”
“You promise?”
“Of course!”
“Yay!” He jumped out of his bed and went to tell Chi-Chi the big news.
Gohan couldn’t help but smile at his little brother and his naivety.
****
Gohan was in awe when he landed outside the place Erasa was having her party. He knew she had a rich family, just like Videl, but he had no idea it was this rich. After a moment of admiration, he shook his head and walked in.
If the outside was already stunning, the inside was hundred times more. Gohan couldn’t help but wonder how much her family must have spent on that party. Probably thousands. The floor looked like a chess board, with black and white floor tiles, and the whole place was decorated with golden and silver, with some red mixed in. It looked like the inside of a castle or a palace. It didn’t take long until a piercing scream echoed in his ears, and he turned towards where voice was coming from.
“You made it!” Erasa came to him with a large grin on her face. “I can’t believe you’re here!”
“Well, you better believe it.” He smiled back at her and felt his cheeks burning when he noticed her outfit. He was taken back when she threw her arms around his neck and jumped on him.
“I’m so glad you came!” She pulled away from him and grabbed his hand, pulling him further down the place. “Come on, let’s go meet everyone.”
Gohan gradually felt more relaxed as time went by. He chatted with both Videl and Sharpner and even watched them go to the dancefloor and dance to a few songs together. Then his eyes fell on his blonde friend and he felt his cheeks burning red for the second time that night. There was something about the way she was dancing that got him mesmerized. Before he knew it, a smile appeared on his lips and he started moving his foot in the rhythm of the song. He followed Erasa as she went to the dancefloor and felt his cheeks become even more redder when she met his gaze and gave her a beautiful smile. It didn’t take long for her to get near him and grab his hand softly.
“Don’t you want to dance?”
“Uh… no.” He replied, looking at her. “I’m a terrible dancer. Believe me, you wouldn’t want to dance with me.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t see why anybody wouldn’t want to dance with you because of that. Besides, I’m sure you’re not that bad.”
“Ah, no. I am. believe me.”
“I’ll decide if you’re a good dancer or not when I see it.” She pulled him to the dancefloor, with much more strength than Gohan was expecting.
****
The cool breeze messed Gohan’s hair when he walked out in the rooftop of the building. At that moment, almost all guests had left. The hybrid Saiyan was about to go home as well, so he went looking for the birthday girl everywhere. Eventually he had to resort to finding her by her ki. And that’s where it led him.
“So this is where you are.”
His cheerful voice echoed in Erasa’s ear and she turned around with the most beautiful grin. This time, not only Gohan felt his cheeks turn bright pink, his heart started beating faster in his chest. He shook his head, trying to hide the blush on his face.
“Yeah, I needed some air.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Everything is fine.” She put a locker of her long blond hair behind her ear. She had put on extensions for her party, but Gohan thought she looked pretty with them. “Did the guests leave yet?”
“All of them, to be honest.” He hoped she wouldn’t feel upset because of that.
“I see. So in other words, you’re the only who’s stayed.”
“Actually, I…” He gave an awkward smile and rubbed the back of his neck. “Basically, yes. Everyone else didn’t know where you were and ended up leaving without saying goodbye. I’m sorry, that wasn’t a nice thing to do.”
“Well, they would have to leave eventually, wouldn’t they?” She sat on a bench nearby and stared at the wall ahead of her.
“Well, yes.” Gohan stopped beside her, behind the bench. He wasn’t sure whether he should sit down or not.
“You can sit down if you want.” Erasa said in a reassuring tone, still not looking at the boy next to her. Instead, she was combing her hair with her fingers.
Without saying a word, he followed her instructions, trying to keep a safe distance from her, so their arms wouldn’t touch accidentally.
“I’m happy you came, Gohan.” She spoke softly beside him, and for the first time since he came out there, they made eye contact.
“I’m glad too.” He confessed with a smile. “I’ve had a great time tonight.”
“You have no idea how happy that makes me.” She beamed with happiness. Then she looked over her shoulder and her smile disappeared. “Too bad the party is over now. It went by so fast.”
“Yeah. Speaking of that…” He motioned to stand and was surprised to feel her holding his hand. He looked over his right shoulder towards her. “Erasa, what are…”
“Do you really have to go?” Her bright blue eyes looked into his black ones and Gohan felt a lump on his throat.
“Yes, I’m afraid so. My mom will be worried if I take too long to arrive.”
“Come on.” She insisted. “Just for half an hour, I promise.”
****
And so the thirty minutes turned into a whole hour. Erasa and Gohan were having fun at the karaoke. The boy felt much relaxed when it was just the two of them and even sang a cheerful pop song that was a big success at the time. He had heard her and Videl sing a lot of time, though the latter never admitted that out loud.
“That was amazing, Gohan!” Erasa exclaimed with a grin and clapped her hands a few times. “You should sing more often.”
“Uh… no, thanks.” He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. “I’m just as bad at it as I am at dancing.”
“I’ve seen it and I guarantee that you’re not as bad as you think. I’ve seen worse guys, trust me.”
“Thank you, Erasa. That means a lot to me.”
“You look cute when you’re embarrassed.” She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek, feeling her own burning with embarrassment.
It was when she had an idea, so she went to put a love song on the karaoke. Gohan shifted with discomfort in his seat when the first chords of the song started playing in the room. She started singing the first few lines and suddenly stopped; her eyes still locked on her friend. She stood right in front of him.
“Erasa… aren’t you going to sing?” Gohan didn’t know how he managed to speak, with her so close to him.
“I could… but I thought of something more interesting to do right now.” She grabbed his hand; still looking at him intensely.
“R-Really?”
“I’ve had a crush on you for a while now, and I’ve caught you looking at me a few times.”
“I… I…” Gohan felt his hands sweating. He absolutely had no idea how to react in a situation like this.
The following events happened so fast he barely had time to react or understand what was going on. Erasa had her lips pressed against his, and it was only when she had her arms wrapped around his neck that he reluctantly did the same around her waist. She didn’t want to push her luck in deepening their first kiss and scare him. There’d be time for that in the future, she was sure. So she pulled away after a few seconds and giggled when she saw his blushing cheeks.
“I knew you felt something too!” She beamed with happiness and then went to turn off the karaoke. The hybrid Saiyan, on the other hand, looked like a statue. The blonde couldn’t help but find the situation a little funny. “Gohan, you don’t need to be so embarrassed. It was just a kiss.”
“I-I know.” He shook his head and looked at her, offering her a half smile. Then he shoved his hand on his pocket, to pick his phone up. His eyes widened when he realized it was way past the time he promised Chi-Chi he’d be home.
“My mom is going to kill me.” He was happy the words found their way out of his mouth, yet he cursed himself mentally for not saying anything about the kiss instead.
“I can talk to her if you want. After all, I was the one who begged you to stay.”
“Thank you. I’m sure she will understand though.”
“Well, in case she doesn’t… I’m here.”
“Thanks, Erasa.” He motioned to leave the room, but to his surprise – and hers – he came back and kissed her on the left cheek. “Tonight was amazing.”
****
Gohan looked around the street, to make sure there was no one around. When he was sure it was safe enough, he whistled and softly called for the flying nimbus. Flying was usually much better, but he didn’t want to go home that way, considering how much his mind was racing with the last event. Sitting on the fluffy cloud would give him time to think about it. He was sure things between him and Erasa would change from now on, and if he had to be honest, he didn’t mind it at all. He knew they would find a way to get through it.

Dragon Ball Ships Week 2023 (2) - Day 2: Movie Night
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Title: Meeting the Family Pairing: Fayra/Trunks Characters: Trunks Briefs, Fayra, Bulla Briefs, Bulma Briefs and Rulah Summary: Fayra meets Trunks' family for the first time. Warning: Inappropriate language Do not repost, claim to be your own work or use it without perrmission. Cross-posted on AO3
Fayra was making her way out of college that afternoon. Her house wasn’t that far from it, but it would still take her twenty minutes of walking to get there. She didn’t mind doing it, as it would give her some time to think and enjoy her own company.
She and Trunks have been together for a few months now. She couldn’t be happier. He was the most perfect guy she could ever ask for. He was sweet, caring and romantic, among other things. She felt really lucky and blessed.
“Here is the most beautiful girl from school!” Trunks exclaimed the moment he saw her walking out of school.
“Hey you.” She kissed him tenderly on the cheek “I thought you’d be going home by now.”
“Nah, I wanted to take you home today. Is that a problem for you?”
“Of course not. I’d love that!”
“I thought so.”
“So shall we go?”
“Absolutely! Let’s go.”
“Are you ready?” He asked as he wrapped his arms around her.
“I want to say I am, but I can never get used to flying. I love it when you carry me though.”
“I thought you would.” Trunks couldn’t help but smile before making sure she was safe enough for them to fly off.
They landed in front of her house about half an hour later. Fayra immediately went to check her hair in one of the windows and fixed it. Everytime they fly together, she’s happy she doesn’t have long hair. Short one is way more practical.
“You look great.”
“Aww thanks.” Fayra looked at him with a smile. “I just needed to make sure. I’m glad you think so though.”
“I do.” Trunks came to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. “So tell me, is the pretty lady free on the weekend?”
“She might be.” She spun around to look at him and his hands fell to her hips. “Why? Do you want to take her out?”
“I’m thinking about it. Do you think she would say yes?”
“I think she might. Depends on what you have planned.”
“How about a movie?”
“Oh, that actually sounds good! What movie?”
“We can choose when we get to Capsule Corp on Saturday night.”
“Your house?”
“Yes, is there a problem?”
“No.” Fayra shook her head and said in a reassuring tone. “It’s just that… I’ll be meeting your parents.”
“Well, we’d have to meet them eventually.”
“I know. I was just surprised, I didn’t think we were at that point already.”
“If you don’t want to do it, it’s alright.”
“No, I do.” She assured him. “Like you said, we’d have to meet them eventually.”
“Alright then. It’s a date.
****
Fayra felt like she could easily throw up from nervousness that Saturday evening. She was a couple of hours away from meeting Trunks’ parents and feared she wouldn’t make a good first impression. Just when she thought she was about to go insane, her phone started buzzing beside her, on her bed. She had the widest grin on her face when she saw the name on its screen.
“Hey, Rulah!” She exclaimed. “I’m so glad you called.”
“Oh really?” The woman’s voice echoed in the bedroom in a muffled way. “Why?”
“I’m about to go to Trunks’ house and meet his parents.”
“No way!!” Rulah exclaimed. “Is it that serious?”
“I don’t know, that seems like it.”
“How can you not know it, Fayra? It’s pretty obvious.”
“I mean, we haven’t even talked about labeling what we are.”
“That’s the perfect opportunity to do it, don’t you think?”
“I guess so. But I feel a little intimidated by it.”
“I’m sure everything will be alright. His parents are good people.”
“I hope so.” The blonde sighed. “Well, I should go. Trunks should be arriving soon and I don’t want to be late.”
“Alright. Good luck.”
“Thank you.”
“Let me know how it goes later.”
“I will. Bye.”
****
Fayra was in awe when she walked into Capsule Corp a couple of hours later. She had heard stories about it before, but it was different to actually see it in person.
“That’s everyone’s reaction the first time they come here.” Trunks remarked in a light tone after he looked over his shoulder towards her.
“Huh?” She shook her head and turned to look at him, trying her best not to get distracted at every little detail throughout the large halls. “I suppose so. Where exactly are we going to watch the movie?”
“In the TV room, of course.”
“You have a TV room?”
“Of course. We have a room for pretty much everything here.”
“Right.”
“Trunks?” Bulma’s head popped up from the lab.
“Yes, mom?”
“Oh, is this the friend you talked about a few days ago?” She could barely hold her large smile.
Friend? Fayra was aware they hadn’t put any labels on what they have so far, but she certainly didn’t like being called ‘friend’. Still, she hid it pretty well.
“Nice to meet you.” Bulma spoke again, attracting the blonde’s attention immediately.
“Nice to meet you too.” She replied with a soft smile. “You have a very nice house. I love it.”
“Thank you so much,… eh?”
“Fayra.”
“Trunks, so impolite of you not to introduce your friend to me.”
“I’m sorry.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Mom, this is Fayra. Fayra, this is my mom, Bulma.”
“Nice to meet you again.” Fayra surprised everyone, even herself, when she leaned over and hugged the other woman.
Bulma took a few seconds to understand what was happening before she hugged the blonde back.
****
Trunks walked into the TV room carrying a large bowl of popcorn. He was followed closely by Fayra, who was holding two big glasses of soda.
“Wow…” She gave a spontaneous whistle as she looked all around the room, but the huge TV got her attention the most.
He couldn’t help but laugh at her while he placed the bowl on the table at the center of the room, between the TV and the blue couch.
“Oh my God, this sofa is so comfortable!” She stated as she sat down. “It feels like I’m sitting on cotton.”
“Have you sat on cotton before?”
“No, silly.” She laughed. “That was a figure of speech.”
“You can tell grammar isn’t my thing.”
“Yes, I can.”
“So what movie do you want to watch?” Trunks asked as he sat beside her, placing an arm over her shoulder.
“Whichever you want. I’ll let you choose.”
“No.” He shook his head. “You’re the guest. You choose.”
“Alright. So we’re going for a romantic comedy, is that okay with you?”
“Sure, that’s fine.”
Fayra had chosen a very famous romantic comedy for them to watch, though Trunks didn’t quite like her choice; Still, he found it better not to say anything about it. The most awaited moment in the movie was about to happen, when something – or better yet – someone, caught their attention.
“Hi!”
“Bulla, aren’t you supposed to be in bed right now?”
“Mom said you were watching a movie and I wanted to watch it too.”
“It’s not a movie made for children, so you can’t stay.”
“Mean.” She pouted at him and then looked at Fayra with curiosity. “Who’s this?”
“Hi, I’m Fayra. Nice to meet you, Bulla.”
“Are you Trunks’ girlfriend?”
Both teenagers blushed heavily and at the child’s comment. She looked from her brother to Fayra with the same curiosity as before.
“No, sweetheart.” The blonde replied with a soft grin. “We’re just friends.”
“Then why did he have his arm around you?”
“Bulla, bed. Now.”
“But I want to watch the movie too.”
“I guess there’s nothing wrong if she watches a little with us.” Fayra said. “I think it’s safe.”
“If you say so…”
“I have to go to the bathroom.” Bulla slid from the couch, where she had been sitting between Trunks and Fayra and ran to the other room.
“Oh, she’s gone.” He said with relief after he heard the door locking.
“Trunks, she’s your sister. You shouldn’t talk about her like this.”
“She can be really annoying sometimes.”
“She’s the sweetest.”
“You know what else could be sweet right now?” He slid closer to her with a suggestive grin on his face and wrapped his arm around her shoulder once again.
“What is it?”
“Spending time alone with you and getting to do this.” Trunks gently lifted her chin and looked into her pretty eyes.
“I like that.”
“I thought you would.” His smile got wider for a brief second before their lips touched.
It started off as a soft and sweet kiss, but it quickly evolved into a more passionate one. Fayra melted into his touch and things were escalating way too fast, but eventually they had to pull away from each other to breathe.
“Trunks, why were you eating her?”
“Bulla, how long have you been here?!” He almost fell from the couch after hearing her voice; his face blushing quite heavily.
“I don’t know. Since I left the bathroom.” She shrugged, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“I wasn’t eating her.” He replied after he recovered from his shock. “And you should really go to bed. It’s past your bed time.”
“Mommy lets me stay up late on weekends.”
“Then go be with her.”
“Are you angry because I saw you eating your girlfriend?”
“Again, I wasn’t eating her. We were kissing. And she’s not my girlfriend.”
“Mom and dad do that too and they love each other.”
“It’s different.”
“I really think I should go.” Fayra stood up and picked her purse up. “It’s getting late.”
“What?”
“Trunks, you made your girlfriend upset.”
“Bulla!” Bulma walked in and quickly ran to her daughter. “I told you shouldn’t come in here tonight. Your brother is having a date.”
“Mommy, Trunks’ girlfriend is upset because of him. Are you going to ground him?”
“She’s upset?” The older blue haired woman lifted her eyebrows at him. “What happened?”
“She’s upset because he said she’s not his girlfriend.”
“Hmmm.” It was all that she said. “We should give them some privacy, sweetheart. They have a lot to talk about.”
“But mommy, I want to watch the movie!”
“Another time. Besides, it’s time for bed.”
“Can daddy read a story for me?” Bulla pleaded; her eyes full of expectations.
“Daddy is still training and it doesn’t seem like he’s stopping it anytime soon.
“But we can still ask, can’t we? I’m sure he won’t say no if I ask in a cute way.”
“We can try, darling, but I can’t promise anything.”
Bulla looked over her mother’s shoulder towards Fayra. “Mommy, can I say bye to Trunks’ girlfriend?”
“Of course.” Bulma put her down. “But make it quick.”
“Okay!” She ran to the blonde and hugged her in the legs. “Bye Fayra! I really liked meeting you, you’re nice and pretty!”
“Oh my God, thank you, Bulla!” She knelt down and hugged the little girl. “I really liked meeting you too. You’re such a sweet child! I hope we can spend time together again soon.”
“Me too.”
“Bulla, let’s go.”
“Alright.” She let go of Fayra and ran back to her mother.
The two teenagers finally finished watching the movie with no further interruptions. Trunks grabbed the remote control and turned the TV off.
“So, what did you think of it?” He turned to her and immediately raised his eyebrows. “What’s wrong?”
“I’ve been thinking about what your sister said earlier.”
“About what exactly?”
“About us being boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“Oh… okay. What are you trying to say?”
“I don’t know, but it made me think.”
“Do you want to label what we are?”
“I’m not sure.” Fayra bit her lower lip and looked away for a while. “But I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my time, you know?”
“Does it really feel like that to you?”
“No!” She said quickly and looked at him again. “That’s not what I mean. I would never think of us as a waste of time. I absolutely love what we have so far. But I can’t help but wish we could become something more… serious.”
“We can talk about it.”
“But do you want it?”
“I can’t say I haven’t thought about it.” He grabbed her hands softly. “Yes, I want it. So we’ll put a label on what we have then. From now on we’re gonna be boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“That sounds perfect to me.” She smiled and then leaned over to kiss him.
****
The streets in West City were still fully illuminated and quite a lot of young people were still out – either trying to go in or leaving dance clubs. Neither Trunks nor Fayra cared about it, so they just resumed their way to her house. A few minutes later, they were standing in front of it.
“Thanks for bringing me home.” She said softly as she stood in front of him.
“You don’t have to thank me.” He smiled at her. “I’m sorry about anything that happened at my house.”
“No, you shouldn’t apologize.” Fayra shook her head, returning the smile. “Nothing happened in your house. I absolutely loved everything. Including your sister.”
“I’m glad to know that.”
“We should definitely do that again.” She glanced quickly towards her house and then back. “Do you want to go in?”
“I’d love to, but I think I’ve dealt with enough meeting the parents night. We can definitely set a date for that though. I’d love to meet your parents someday.”
“I’m sure they will love you.” She took two steps towards him, running her hands through his arms. “Have a good night, boyfriend.”
“You can be sure I will, girlfriend.” Trunks wrapped his arms around her before leaning over and capturing her lips in a sweet kiss.

Dragon Ball Ships Week 2023 (2) - Day 3: Games/Activities
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Title: Spin The Bottle Pairing: Marron/Trunks; Bulla/Goten Characters: Bulla Briefs, Trunks Briefs, Son Goten, Pan and Marron Summary: Trunks and Bulla are hosting a party at CC for their friends. Warning: Swearing words/inappropriate language Do not repost, claim to be your own work or use it without perrmission. Cross-posted on AO3
Trunks Briefs walked down the hall at Capsule Corporation in a very casual way. It would be a familiar sight, had it not been the fact he wasn’t wearing a shirt and he had a towel wrapped on his neck.
“Geez, sometimes you behave like a teenager.” Bulla, his twenty-year old sister, scolded him for his lack of good manners. “You better not greet our guests like this.”
“Must you always be so annoying?” He said with annoyance and rolled his eyes at her. “Of course I’m not.”
“Good. You don’t want to make a fool out of yourself in front of Marron.”
“Please, I don’t make a fool out of myself in front of her or anyone for that matter.”
“Sure you don’t.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing.” She went back to her room to get ready for the party.
“You’re the one to talk.” He wasn’t about to let it go like that.
“Excuse me?” Bulla came back to the hall. “I don’t think I understand what you’re implying.”
“You say I make a fool out of myself in front of Marron and that may be true, but you’re not any different than me.”
“You’re out of your mind, Trunks.”
“I’ve seen the way you act around Goten. You’re so in love with him.”
“What have you been drinking?!”
“I haven’t been drinking anything yet. And don’t play dumb with me. You know exactly what I’m talking about.”
“Fine, so maybe I have a crush on Goten.” She crossed her arms in front of her chest. “And your point is…?”
“I have a proposal to make.”
“A proposal?” She raised her eyebrows at him.
“We’ll confess to them tonight.”
“Okay, smart ass. How are we going to do that?”
“You can leave that to me. I have the perfect plan.”
And just like that, he left for his own bedroom.
****
Bulla was fixing one of the pillows in the living room when the doorbell rang. She looked up, but didn’t move. Her heart was pounding really hard on her chest for her to move. Luckily for her, Trunks came running from the kitchen to answer it.
“It must be Goten.”
And indeed it was. Bulla could recognize his voice anywhere, and her heart started beating even faster.
“You made it!” Trunks’ voice echoed all over the living room, in the usual cheerful way he speaks whenever his best friend is around.
“Like I would miss this party.”
“This party or the chance to see someone?” He nudged Goten in the ribs and winked at him.
“I… I have no idea what you are talking about.” The brunette replied, though he was fully aware his blushing cheeks gave him away.
“I can’t tell which one is the worst, you or Bulla. It’s clear as it can be that you have feelings for each other.”
“Okay, that’s not…” Goten immediately stopped talking and his eyes went wide when he spotted Bulla in the living room, staring right back at him. The look on her face told him she had heard everything, and he was... well, screwed. “Bulla, that’s not…”
But she walked past him without saying a word and not bothering to look at him. The half-Saiyan dropped his head in frustration. He had some big making up to do later that night.
“Sucks to be you.” Trunks didn’t let the opportunity to tease his best friend pass, so he patted him on the shoulder.
“Fuck you.”
“Well, well. Who would’ve thought Kakarot’s son knew how to swear.” A very familiar husky echoed behind the two hybrids, and Goten shivered for a moment. “V-Vegeta.”
“Maybe I should tell him about it.”
“He probably won’t have a clue what it means.”
“Ugh, you…”
“Let’s go, Goten.” Trunks pushed him towards the yard before things got uglier. “Don’t mind my dad, he doesn’t know when to stop sometimes.”
“Sometimes?” Goten looked at him, who rolled his eyes.
“Fine, most of the time.” The lavender-haired Saiyan started laughing and was immediately joined by his best friend.
****
About half an hour later, Marron and Pan had already arrived and they were ready to start partying. Bulla was making her way to the kitchen to grab some drinks for her best friends, and bumped into Trunks and Goten doing the same.
“Oh, sorry.” She stopped almost immediately when she spotted them. “I can come back soon.”
“That’s okay, Bulla.” Trunks said. “We were just leaving, right, Goten?”
“Uh…” The brunette half-Saiyan looked from his best friend to his love interest. “Actually, I…”
“I’m just here to grab a few energy drinks. I should be quick.” She refused to make eye contact with Goten, but seemed shaken when he grabbed her elbow. That only lasted a couple of seconds, cause he immediately let go of her when he saw the death glare in her eyes. And she left as fast as she came in.
“Don’t worry about it.” The lavender-haired man put his hand on Goten’s shoulder in a reassuring way. “She’s just angry, but she will come around eventually. She has a lot from our father.”
“She really does.” Goten looked around, to make sure she wasn’t anywhere near enough to hear them.
“She’ll be talking to you again within time, trust me.”
“Why are you saying this?” He raised his eyebrow. “You’re up to something.”
“I’m not up to anything.”
“Of course you are. I’ve known you since we were babies. You can fool yourself all you want, but you can’t fool me.”
“Let’s just go.” Trunks talked it off. “The girls are probably waiting for us to start partying.”
****
“We are playing spin the bottle.” Bulla announced as she put an empty bottle in the center of the circle.
“Really, Bulla?” Pan complained with a frown. “That’s such a fifth-grade game. Don’t you think, Marron?”
“I… I…” The blonde was taken by surprise. “I guess.”
“Pan, stop making her uncomfortable. It’s annoying.”
“Defending your girlfriend, that’s so cute!”
“Stop it, Panny.”
“Ah come on, uncle Goten. I hate it when you call me that.”
“I know.”
“So should we start?” Bulla ignored the uncle and nephew friendly bickering.
“Who wants to be the first?” Bulla asked, looking at all four faces.
“I think you should start it.” Marron replied after drinking a sip of her drink. “You had the idea.”
“Alright.” She leaned forward and spun the bottle, that stopped in front of Trunks.
“Truth or dare, sister?”
“Truth.”
“Okay. Is it true that you are in love with Goten?”
There was a complete silence in the living room, and both Pan and Marron looked at the blue haired woman. Goten was blushing as heavily as her and looked away.
“What kind of question is this, Trunks?”
“You said truth. So…?”
“I… I…” Bulla absolutely hated feeling ambushed, so she tried to think of a way out as fast as she could. “I want dare.”
“What the hell, Bulla?” Pan protested loudly. “You can’t switch like that.”
“There was no rule on that.” She argued back. “So I want dare.”
“Fine.” Trunks replied, rolling his eyes and a smirk appeared on his lips. “I dare you to kiss Goten. In front of everyone here.”
“What the hell, dude?”
“Eww, gross!” The brunette woman looked like she was about to throw up. “I do not want to see my uncle kissing one of my best friends.”
“I’m not kissing anyone.”
“You have to, it’s in the rules of the game you wanted to play.”
“Ugh!” Bulla shot a death glare at her brother. She had no option but to do this. So she stood on her knees and looked at Goten. “We might as well just get over with it.”
Pan closed her eyes and covered them with her hands when the blue haired woman started crawling towards her uncle. She stopped in front of him and looked right into his dark eyes. He found it the perfect opportunity to work things out with her – or at least, begin to. Goten held her chin in her hands and looked back at her before leaning towards her and pressing his lips against hers.
It was only meant to be a brief kiss, and Pan started hearing her friends complaining about it taking too long. She peeked through her fingers and was glad and relieved they had already pulled away from each other.
“I don’t want to play this game anymore.” She stood up and went to sit on the couch.
“Ah, come on, Pan. We’ve just begun.”
“But if we ask questions or choose dares about kissing or confessing, there’s no point in me playing.”
“She has a point.” Marron stood up as well, joining her. “I don’t want to play it like this too.”
“I’m sorry.” Bulla said genuinely. “I didn’t realize it wouldn’t be cool for you.”
“That’s okay, Bulla.” She smiled kindly at her. “We know you meant well.”
“Thanks, Marron.”
****
The wind gently disheveled Marron’s blond hair when she walked into the balcony at Capsule Corp. The weather was really nice that night, and she leaned over to look at the scenario below her. She was so focused on it that barely seemed to register the door opening behind her.
“Hey. Sorry, I didn’t know you were here.” Trunks said apologetically when he walked in too. “If you want to be alone, I can come back another time.”
“That’s fine.” She replied as she turned around to look at him. “This balcony is large enough for both of us. I don’t mind it. Are you drinking in secret now? Will your parents get angry at you if they catch you drinking?”
“Not quite.” He couldn’t help but chuckle. “But I did want to drink in peace. I would’ve brought you one if I knew you were here.”
“That’s fine.” She gave him a soft smile. “I’ve had enough drinking for one night.”
“Right.” Trunks walked to her. “Would you mind if I…”
“Absolutely not. Be my guest.”
“Thanks.” He sat down and drank a long sip from the bottle. “I’m sorry you didn’t get to play our game earlier.”
“That’s fine.” Marron assured him. “Spin the bottle isn’t my favorite game to play anyway. Can I…?”
“Huh?” He glanced down at the bottle he was holding and handed it to her. “I didn’t know you drank.”
“I don’t do it very often. Only when I feel overwhelmed or I’ve had enough. Or when I want to be brave.”
“Brave?” Trunks raised his eyebrow at her. “Marron, you’re one of the bravest women I know.”
“You really think so?” She turned to look at him after putting the bottle beside her. She held her chin in her hands and looked into his eyes, just as blue as hers.
“I know so.” He didn’t know how he managed to say, with her proximity and his heart beating faster because of that.
Everything happened so fast he barely had time to process. All he knew was that her lips were pressed against his and her hand slid to the back of his neck, after wrapping his arm around her waist. It didn’t take him long to tighten it around her and bring her close to him. Marron slightly parted her lips and let her tongue slid inside his mouth, momentarily catching him by surprise. But being skilled as he is sometimes, he quickly turned things around and their kiss grew hotter and more urgent.
****
Bulla had a large grin on her face. She had been hiding behind a wall and watched the whole scene in the balcony happening. She wanted to scream, but didn’t want anyone to know she was there.
“Spying on your brother, princess?” Goten’s voice echoed in her ears, causing her to shiver and blush before she turned to face him.
“No. Who do you think I am? I’m not Trunks’ babysitter.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“Shut up!”
“How long have they been there?”
“Who knows? They were already sitting there when I came. I wanted to go outside, but they started making out and ruined my plan.”
“Can’t say I don’t feel jealous of them.”
Bulla felt her face become red again and began to walk away, but the half-Saiyan man was faster and grabbed her wrist.
“What are you doing?” She looked from his hand wrapped around her wrist to his black eyes.
“I want to talk to you.”
“We have nothing to talk about.”
“Will you please let me explain myself to you and apologize?”
“Fine.” She crossed her arms in front of her chest and started tapping with annoyance; her blue eyes locked in his. “You have a minute.”
“What?” He was caught by surprise. “Are you serious?”
“Fifty seconds.”
“Bulla, w-… Okay.” He shook his head and started talking. “I’m sorry for what happened earlier.”
“Thirty seconds.”
“Uh… I didn’t mean to say that. Obviously I feel something about you, but I just…”
“You just what?” She looked at him with her eyebrows raised.
“Please forgive me.”
“Your time is up.” Her tone was as hurtful as it could be. “See you around, Goten.”
“Dare.”
“What?” Bulla turned around and once again stared into his eyes. “What are you doing?”
“I chose dare. Come on, give me a dare.”
“Goten, we’re not playing it anymore.”
“That’s fine, I’ll just give it myself then.” He gave a few steps towards her; his heart beating faster by each step he took. Or maybe it was hers, he couldn’t tell. “I dare myself to…”
“You know, you can’t give yourself a dare.” She spoke after she realized what he was doing. “It’s against the rules.”
“We’re not playing the real spin the bottle game, so I can make up any rule I want.”
“That’s fair.”
“So you want to give me a dare?”
“Uh… sure. I dare you to kiss me.”
“Is that what you want?”
“Isn’t it what you wanted me to dare you to do?”
“It was.”
“So I don’t understand the big deal. Are you going to kiss me or what?”
“Right.”
Goten began walking towards her again, but she surprised him by jumping on his arms and wrapping hers around his neck. He held her closer to him after he recovered from his shock and their kiss became deeper and more passionate.
“I take it means you’ve forgiven me.” He said after they pulled away from each other.
“That’s right.” She let their foreheads touch; her arms still around his neck.
“Thought so.”
