It all happened so fast that Danny doesn't really remember dying at all. It was like, one moment he was alive, the next he's dead. He remembers hitting the button, and the lights coming on, and then a great big flash.

Then he was outside of the portal.

He thinks he may have been screaming, but that's not true at all. The only sound he made was a split-second, startled gasp as the portal turned on, that was cut-off before he could finish the noise. The only ones who were screaming were Sam and Tucker; Danny was dead before he could feel anything.

The most vivid thing to him was the terror before the light. The blood rushing moment of mind-numbing fear and cold revelation that he was going to die, and there was nothing he could do about it. A weird sort of resignation, desperation, horror, and static calm that hit him all at once.

He was extremely disoriented when he woke up. Like waking up from a long nap and struggling to comprehend what the day or time was, but knowing instinctively that time has passed. He didn't stay in his ghost form for that long either, further cementing his confusion.

From the moment he hit the button to the few minutes after he woke up is an unsolved jigsaw puzzle to him.

It took him about a day and a half to fully remember what happened beyond 'went into the portal, then suddenly i was out of it and everyone was freaking out', and then a week to process.

Sam and Tucker remember his accident better than he does. They say he was in a daze after he woke up, before he recognized where he was. And he kinda just... squinted at them like he didn't know who they were, and said something in a language they couldn't understand. He was terrifyingly calm and passive, and still smoking.

(They later find out its ghostspeak. He was asking them where he was.)

It was only the moment he realized where he was that he transformed back into human. That's the moment where Danny's memory officially cuts back in for him. His first time as a ghost, and he doesn't really remember it that well.

Kinn would use pet names because he is the type of dork who would find them genuinely romantic.

Kim would use pet names because he thinks it gets him a good grade in boyfriend, a normal and possible thing to want to achieve.

Vegas would use pet names because he is trying to exert ownership in the ways deemed socially acceptable, but he has to be pretentious about it.

Am I the only one that thinks that in a ‘I accidentally killed the Joker!” story that Jason WOULD totally kiss the one (ether Danny or Jazz only if they’re around his age though) that did it once he’s over the shock.

Like no joke, he would full on twirl, dip and kiss the person who did it, before going to celebrate that clowns end and later returning with thank you flowers. Cause Jason is a dramatic man whose planning to full on woo his new personal hero.

Look, he didn’t exactly remember how he got in this situation, but from what he hears of the other person-turned-oversized-lizard’s panicked whispers they don’t understand how this happened either. This is exactly how I see him!!!! He's such a freak!!!!!! Even more so than Floyd and Azul. In terms of shamelessness, I like to imagine Jade is at the very top spot. He's just so,,,, depraved. The type of man to shamelessly sport an erection while you're lecturing him about how annoying he is or something degrading like that, and he just stands there like (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) and waits for you to notice LOL. I also just think things like erections in human form aren't something embarrassing for Jade and, by that extension, Floyd because it's something they aren't used to dealing with in mer form and they just don't understand why it's such a big deal if people see because, as Floyd will note, "everyone's got junk, so who cares?" Azul gets flustered over things like that because 1) he's easy to fluster and 2) he wants to actually blend in with human society and not be labeled a pervert right away like a certain pair of eels. ^^;;;

Part of me wants to push the Jade is a feet guy agenda because his dorm groovy is so,,,,, T_T but then I feel like that makes sense for Jade to be the one with the foot/leg fetish??? He's spent all of his life playing the "normal" twin or the "responsible" twin because that's how he was always told apart from Floyd. He's much too calculated to just let loose like Floyd does and he has an image to uphold, so he probably just masks all of his perverted behaviors so well you'll never know. But then he does things like offering to shine your shoes or tie your laces or something silly like that and he's hopelessly hard the entire time. You can't even kick him in his dick because there's a 100% chance he'll just enjoy it. T_T you tell him to go die and he's fanning himself like wooooo teehee :3c it's suddenly so hot in here...

Jade knows exactly what he's doing. He is so down bad for you, too. You could tell him you'll die before you ever go out with him and he just becomes even more invested in playing this long, impossible game of waiting. I like to think he gets creative and humorous with his attempts at flirting. Maybe this makes him look a little pathetic, but is that not part of his charms? That, or it's just another artfully crafted façade meant to hide a much more coy demeanor.

He has a list of things he wants to accomplish with you and within the top five is probably a footjob. You kicked him in his ankles after he showed you the list (complete with a handwritten note asking you if you'd help him study anatomy later), and he had to excuse himself to the bathroom to deal with personal issues. :) your violence is just more fuel for his fantasies.

Replaying from the beginning, I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that Astarion actually expected us to not immediately clock that he's a vampire. And I know this has been said before, but it's so hilarious.

He's over there, thinking himself suave and secretive, with such decor as...

A clearly bloody glass cup sitting right in front of his tent, in a puddle of blood, as the very first thing you see

another bloody goblet at his feet, with stains that do not look anything like wine on his white carpet

jars of blood inside his open tent, complete with a very clear bloodstain on the pallet under his bedroll

this clearly labeled bloodbank jar, covered in bloodstains, just on the table right next to him

this veritable dinner table napkin covered in blood, and of course, the pièce de résistance,

the fucking mirror in clear view, angled perfectly so that if he wasn't a vampire, you should be able to see his ass in it in premier plan when approaching from the campfire.

Not only is he very clearly a vampire, but he's also an excessively messy eater, which honestly makes the fact that he is only revealed on the third night a downright humiliating admonishment of the party's collective intelligence.

(Though, armed with the knowledge that he cannot seem to keep blood in his mouth, there is also some real potential here for the first act of physical tenderness he experiences in centuries to be the player character just... absently wiping a drop of their blood off his chin with their hand after a feeding.)

I saw this art once of cripplepunk pearl, pearl with a cane, and i just thought of it bc like. Imagining. When pearl first met marina on that mountain, she probably just thought she had some seriously deformed tentacles . And they hit it off!! Maybe pearl connected with her bc. She could relate in that way. And even moreso once they were in society where marina would get crazy stares all the time but. Pearl, who never learned her history, would just assume its all ableism. (And probably a lot of it is bc it seems like oth is most popular amongst younger inklings) And. Also marina being hella autistic and wearing her headphones everyone she goes. Easily overstimulated. Missing social cues. Even things that could be blamed on her being used to octarian social cues and language pearl is probably just like oh, shes autistic. And pearl is like ok, thats finw.

Ofc marina probably didnt have that sort of terminology as an octarian. Maybe disabled people were seen as defective. So as she comes into inkling society, she sees how in some ways things are similar, but in some ways, so, so different. People having the freedom to fight back and advocate for themselves and others is what she mainly finds to be different. It's expressed everywhere, from the wonderful and bright colors of the world around her clashing in glorious ways with the sweet or beautiful or crazy graffiti everywhere and the different styles of clothing and hair all bursting out and exploding with color and light and it's all so freeing.

And pearl, of course. Pearl with her cane and her jitteriness and her chronic pains and her short attention span and pearl being pearl. And then suddenly marina feels a lot more marina than she did before. Suddenly she has proper noise-cancelling headphones pearl encouraged her to buy, and quiet alone time when she needs it and stim toys and space to talk about her interests and ofc fucking Therapy for the shit she went through but we're not even getting into that bc damn she rlly was involved with the military.

And people are *mean* and it's *okay* because for every person with one opinion, there is another. And marina, even still, she seeks her order. She seeks for the world to be more accepting and kind than Not and her vision for that is a world of order. But even so, she could live in this chaos forever and be happy still.
