She was a sister, and a daughter - and the auntie that stayed up on Friday night playing video games with her 8 year old nephew. She worked in pharmaceutical equipment sales. Her mom had recently gotten very sick, so she was home taking care of the house and loving her life. There was no reason for her to be murdered. None. . Atatiana was up late playing video games with her 8-year-old nephew ... when she was shot and killed by a Fort Worth, TX police officer - inside her own home. . It’s not just my heart that feels heavy, it’s like my whole body is weighted down and exhausted while I write this out, while I create this piece to honor Atatiana.   The funeral of Atatiana “Tay” Jefferson, 28, was held last Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas.
