makna forest/nopon village (i have a soft spot for this place because i live in a sub-tropical rainforest too! also the LANDSCAPES and the dinosaurs…. the dinosaurs baby) plus i love the nopon sm… usually mascot comic relief characters in serious stories are kinda. ehhh but the nopon are so so sweet and id do anything for riki

the high entia city that i dont know the name of but have seen- uuuuouoguoguh here u can Really see the scifi elements shine through, also i just love the visual design of the high entia and their society

colony 9- a comforting place and really good introduction to the games world

guar plain- i Love big open sky areas and guar plain (+surrounding locations) just feels so free 

satorl marsh- super cool and pretty at night, points redacted for being kinda dull and hard to navigate during the day.

tephra cave- it’s a cave! HUGE fan of the crabs though

colony 6/ether mine- navigating the ether mine made me super nervous because one of my big specific fears is rooms that are deep underground

one thing really stood out to me as i binged any and all of the avowed previews yesterday and that was how they made dawnshore and paradis feel like a true frontier.

like, you can tell all the locals have a bit of that old west attitude toward centralized authority. and paradis, while looking plenty big for a game of this genre, is absolutely minuscule compared to the grandeur of neketaka or even defiance bay.

it makes me so excited to wander around the living lands. it's the exact vibe i had in mind when deciding all my watchers came from the lands.

and as for your question, there’s actually a certain phenomenon that occurs in the pokemon games called “diamond dust”, which is essentially just... sparkling snow, but it’s very captivating and i would love if something like that actually existed. crystal rain also sounds pretty neat! as well as aesthetically pleasing.......
