listen I’m not a connor mcdavid hater but there would be something insane and poetic about it if the caps came out of nowhere and dylan strome won a cup before him
#just saying…#the caps pulled this off didn’t they! no but really how insane would it be. how would it feel to be Davo in that scenario#I am a mcdavid enjoyer honestly but the potential narrative 🤌#actually let Mitch Marner win a cup before davo too#and also it not being about him but still being tied to him is soooooo mcdavid is not#dylan strome#connor mcdavid#2015 draft class#do I think this will happen? no but it’d be fun

Video
It’s nice seeing Davo with a little personality… I feel like Stromer is one of three guys that can make that man act like anything other than a lifeless robot (the other 2 are obvs minch and drai)
This is my favorite thing in the world never show me another video again.
- “in beautiful Somewhere, New York”
- “Stromer is a guy”
- “You lead it, you’re a good leader”
- “He’s a perfect leader”
- “I think he knows everything about hockey, you ask him a certain stat, he’ll know it”
- “Davo! Im not kidding here!”
- “Haha Stromer can’t do it! Stromer? How do you do it?!”
- “Stromer how do I do this?” “See he says how do i do this. he has no idea what to do, he just plays hockey. Well if you were listening to the instructions!”

It's a lovely poem you should all read it#there is a longer section that fits the characters but it feels a little iffy taking something that is clearly personal#and apply it to fictional characters. like it has racial motifs that i don't feel comfortable saying 'oh exactly like my little characters#written by a white man!' yk?#anyway! i'm actually proud of this#i'm so normal about these biblical siblings < lying#i've said it before but this was baby's first horror story. i was obsessed with them as a kid

THIS DAY IN GAY HISTORY
based on: The White Crane Institute's 'Gay Wisdom', Gay Birthdays, Gay For Today, Famous GLBT, glbt-Gay Encylopedia, Today in Gay History, Wikipedia, and more … November 5
1698 – England: William Minton, a 19 year old servant, is used as bait to entrap Capt. Edward Rigby, the first homosexual victim of entrapment by the Society for the Reformation of Manners. He was tried for sodomy. These Societies were formed in tower hamlets, London, in 1690, with their primary object being the suppression of bawdy houses and profanity. A network of moral guardians was set up, with four stewards in each ward of the City of London, two for each parish, and a committee, whose business it was to gather the names and addresses of offenders against morality, and to keep minutes of their misdeeds. By 1699 there were nine such societies, and by 1701 there were nearly 20 in London, plus others in the provinces, all corresponding with one another and gathering information and arranging for prosecutions.
1884 – Born: James Elroy Flecker (d.1915); English poet, novelist and playwright. Born in London, and educated at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, where his father was headmaster, and Uppingham School, he studied at Trinity College, Oxford, and Caius College, Cambridge. While at Oxford he was greatly influenced by the last flowering of the Aesthetic movement there, under John Addington Symonds.
He died of tuberculosis in Davos, Switzerland. His death at the age of thirty was described at the time as "unquestionably the greatest premature loss that English literature has suffered since the death of Keats".
His Collected Poems (1916) were published the year after he died at age 30. His poetry shares one trait in common with that of his contemporary, Rupert Brooke: the sexuality is ambiguous. There is no question, however, that Flecker was Gay. His lover was the classicist J.D. Beazley, one of the world's great authorities on Greek vases.
His most widely known poem is "To A Poet A Thousand Years Hence". The most enduring testimony to his work is perhaps an excerpt from "The Golden Journey to Samarkand" inscribed on the clock tower of the barracks of the British Army's 22nd Special Air Service regiment in Hereford.
Bryan Lourd (R) and husband Bruce Bozzi
1960 – Bryan Lourd is an American talent agent. He has been partner, managing director and co-chairman of Creative Artists Agency (CAA) since October 1995.
Lourd was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. His brother, Blaine Lourd, is an investment advisor. He attended New Iberia Senior High School, where he played the lead in several high school musicals. He earned a degree from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in 1982.
Lourd and actress Carrie Fisher were together from 1991 to 1994. They have one daughter, actress Billie, born in 1992. Lourd married Bruce Bozzi, the co-owner of The Palm, on October 12, 2016, and Lourd legally adopted Bozzi's daughter, Ava. They divide their time between a penthouse apartment in the West Village, in Lower Manhattan, New York City and a house in Beverly Hills, California.
Lourd was elected to the board of trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 2011. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. He was appointed to the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities in 2009 by President Barack Obama and to the board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2015.
Lourd 's clients include George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey, Jr., Drew Barrymore, Jimmy Fallon, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, Madonna, Naomi Watts, Natalie Portman, Robin Williams, Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Duchovny, Helen Hunt, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Taraji P. Henson, and Peter Jöback.
1969 – The Homosexual Information Center protested at the offices of the Los Angeles Times to protest the newspaper's refusal to print the word "homosexual" in ads after it refused to print an ad announcing a group discussion on homosexuality.
1979 – Leonardo Nam is an Australian actor. He made his breakthrough as Roy in The Perfect Score (2004), and gained further recognition for his roles as Morimoto in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and Brian McBrian in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008). In 2016, Nam began starring as Felix Lutz in Westworld (2016–present) which brought him widespread recognition.
Nam was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to South Korean immigrant parents. At the age of six, he moved to Sydney, Australia. Nam attended Sydney Technical High School and studied architecture at the University of New South Wales. Nam left Sydney to follow his dreams of an acting career in New York City, United States, at the age of 19. He studied with several acting teachers in New York, including Austin Pendleton and William Carden at HB Studio.
Before his Hollywood success, Nam travelled to New York City to pursue his acting career. His first few nights he slept in Central Park and then found jobs working as a waiter and bartender. His breakthrough role came in his performance of Roy in The Perfect Score (2004).
He had a small role in the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as Brian McBrian, a hardcore gamer. He played Brian again in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2; in the sequel, his character has a larger role. In 2016, he joined the cast of the HBO series Westworld. In 2018 he was featured in the music video "Waste It on Me" by Steve Aoki featuring BTS.
Nam is married to Michael Dodge. They have twin sons (born 2017) together. The family lives in San Diego.
1983 – Andrew Hayden-Smith, born Andrew John Smith, is a British actor and television presenter best known for his work with CBBC.
Auditions for popular CBBC children's serial drama Byker Grove were held at his school and he won the part of Ben Carter, making his first appearance in the eighth series of the show in 1995.
Initially just using the name Andrew Smith, he appeared as a guest on Saturday morning CBBC show Live & Kicking with several other characters from the show. Smith soon became a regular guest on the show. This led to appearances on other shows and also in teen-magazines, as well as two pantomime appearances. In 2001 he applied for Equity membership and was accepted under the name Andrew Hayden-Smith (Hayden being another surname in his family), as the name Andrew Smith was already taken.
In 2004, the ex-Byker Grove actor and CBBC presenter Andrew did the unthinkable for a young man on kids' TV - he told the world he was gay. At the risk of being outed by a newspaper, he beat the tabloids to the punch and did an interview with Attitude magazine:
"Coming out is pretty scary. It's bad enough when you're almost certain that the majority of people around you will be totally cool with it. I was 21 and presenting kids TV at the time and was commended for what everyone kept saying was such a brave step."
It did his career no harm, and he's proved an inspiration - and eye candy - for young gay men across the country.
Andrew has since appeared regularly on stage and in Doctor Who. Hayden-Smith appeared in the episodes "Rise of the Cybermen", "The Age of Steel" and "Doomsday" as Jake Simmonds in the 2006 series of Doctor Who. He returned to CBBC having completed the filming, but decided that he wished to concentrate on acting. His final day of presenting was on 7 July 2006, the day before his third and final Doctor Who appearance.

We all know mcdavid is insanely good but what if I told you if he'd never scored a goal he'd drop from first to second in the most star-studded draft class in recent memory's points list. Only Mitch Marner has more points among 2015 classmates than Davo has assists. What

hockey and thoughts
once and a while i just sit here and think about how much i miss fleury on the penguins, and how draisaitl probably misses tkachuk when they play the flames while my boy matthew is thriving in florida, and how kane and toews are gonna split apart any day now and i want toews to be the captain forever, and how stromer and davo don’t talk but dylan pretty much had a revenge night for connor’s 500th game, and how the 2015 draft class exists and i always manage to forget sebastian aho was a part of it, and how mathew barzal will always be my one and only because i claimed him oh so long ago and even though there are players i like better there’s something nostalgic that wells up in me when i think of him.
i want sidney crosby to never go because he has been my hockey role model for as long as i can remember, and i want geno, tanger, and him to stay on the pens with access to some special fountain of youth potion.
i think about how mcdavid hasn’t gotten a cup yet and that probably isn’t right, but it preserves crosby’s domination for just a little while, and i think about how sid and ovi have been a handful of career points apart this whole season, and both are nearing 1,500 total and that’s so amazing i adore them.
i don’t really want crosby, malkin, stamkos, ovechkin, tavares, kane, toews, and others to go just yet, but shea weber recently retired and carey price is dunzo but i love him, and i want the flyers to succeed and do at least somewhat good because a good ol’ pennsylvania guns-blazing matchup is all i need before crosby retires.
i tend to think about giroux going to the panthers to win a cup, only to be handed off like he isn’t one of the greatest talents/vets in the league.
i really, really miss him on the flyers, and somehow i’m supposed to deal with nolan patrick having left, too? but hartsy (cahtah haht) is still here and t.k. and haysey, so we’re all good.
because philly finally has a good goalie and i love him and man i love jarry but he’s just not able to stay healthy and i hate him for it.
i want to see pasta succeed even more, and i really don’t mind mcavoy and i’ve got a lot of respect for bergeron, but i really hate the bruins and marchand but one day i’ll miss him i’m certain.
clayton keller is a god among men and he’s adorable, much like sasha barkov.
for some reason i’ve got a soft spot for ghost bear.
clayton keller is wonderful and nick suzuki, cole caulfied, and all the young dallas guys are too!
there’s a bright future ahead for those kids.
kaner scored a hatty against the leafs tonight. the hawks won.
and lastly, i really, really recommend and love watching the one roundtable interview of lundqvist, crosby, and tazer.

who do you recommend voting for to reach max narratives & fucked up vacation plans per team?
HOOOO lets talk abt this, bc this is one of the driving factors and also one of the driving uses for this nonserious mock narrative network analysis (NMNNA) i made. we will be referencing her quite a bit tonight.
let's talk about top narrative candidates:
there is, in a sense, a sort of must in the case of bringing in leon draisaitl (edm). re our NMNNA, draisaitl nurses not one, not two, but three largely evident narrative connections, and all of those affiliated side connections snowballed on top of that. there is, as someone brought up before, matt tkachuk and draisaitl (reunited!) and brady who drai fought a while ago. drai and davo, old and gold and in love. and also, a fun little side story: draisaitl and josh morrissey, who will be reuniting from their days in juniors (and from the jets reverse sweep in the 2021 scp). if you want drama, vote draisaitl.
in the same breath, you might as well bring in tim stützle (ott) while you're at it. give drai a bro to face the tkachuks with. or at least neutralize brady.
another compelling angle to look at here: nathan mackinnon (col). yes, makar-mackinnon-kadri creates an effective 2 birds with 1 puck situation with both an avalanche reunion and also an opportunity for mac to salivate over makar again in a public forum. mac-crosby would commence, showstopping, awesome. but also something to consider: mcdavid and mackinnon together, in a room with their idol (crosby), after the avs singlehandedly crushed the oilers playoff chances last year and we ran that narrative through its course. consider.
we are as always talking about jack eichel (vgk) for jack eichel related purposes. he as always connects with mcdavid for all of the reasons that cannot be stated, but also connects to ullmark and thompson from sabres-related pasts grievances and is linked to thompson for vegas-related future hopes. gaudreau and him were also buddies. and also, a fun little hidden tidbit: the larkin-eichel of it all. this is my agenda and i am bringing her forward.
if we do not bring in claude giroux (ott) are we even allowed to be here. this is honestly a little bit of a crime because we are Cutting Into That Old Man's Vacation but crosby is here and hayes is here and brady is here and everyone who loved him so much last year is too. what are we supposed to do.
re NMNNA, that connecting bubble between jones and larkin is, you guessed it, room for zach werenski (cbj). and that also connects too to gaudreau, in true teammate fashion.
i give a sort of null amount of care about this particular narrative but for those who might be interested, hughes is surrounded by team usa olds. you can give him some company if you'd like (if you're out of ideas, caufield (mtl) connects to both suzuki and hughes relationally. but you guys know that better than i probably).
also something to look at are the "lonely" kids on the NMNNA: pettersson, beniers are big ones, but also robertson, thompson (both of them), nelson, keller, etc, etc. it's on you guys if you want to leave them lonely and looking for random conversation, or if you want to hook them up with a buddy (e.g. quinn hughes (van) connects to both jhughes and pettersson. sort of a two birds with one stone situation).
if you have a personal narrative agenda to fulfill, this is also the time to do that. good ones i've seen so far have been:
tyson jost (buf) (confronts him with both his avalanche days, a sprinkle of wild, and gives company to thompson)
anyone from the 2015 draft class you can get your hands on. wouldn't it be funny if we brought in dylan strome (wsh). wouldn't it be funny.
mats zuccarello (min) for kaprizov excitement boosting purposes
moritz seider (det) for larkin and (if so voted) draisaitl
evgeni malkin (pit) for crosby and ovechkin
literally anyone you can narratively pair to keep specifically those lonely old men company. they have to work today.
as for those of you who hope to ruin the vacations of players: there is only two-ish tips to keep in mind.
1) the more vet you are picking, the more you are in for a vacation-ruining-asg. pick any vet that you want to see get screentime and suffering, because they see the asg for what it is: a time where they need to keep working and entertain the masses instead of fucking off to cancun. do you think erik karlsson wants to be here, for the 7th time in a row. bonus points if they have kids, they are Tired of that shit.
2) it's in florida this year, which means the hot single excited young guns still clamoring for fame are Not going to see this as punishment* (with an asterisk, in that it will be punishment only if they are Alone). tread carefully.

mcstrome and bogosort (like the compsci algorithm lol)
ok i read the wiki article for this and also several memes about it and i'm still not sure i understand it, because i am a humanities girlie whose brain makes dial-up noises when anything too math-y or science-y is introduced into my enclosure. so i'm sorry if i misunderstood the concept but i am going on vibes alone here. this would be a multiverse fic. a fic about connor mcdavid experiencing the multiverse.
so, at the start of this story, maybe connor and dylan aren't totally estranged, but they're not close like they used to be either. they've drifted apart. they text for, like, birthdays and major life events. connor's not sure whose fault that is, and it makes him kind of sad to think about, but honestly, he doesn't think about it too much. they just have their own lives now. connor is very busy trying to drag edmonton kicking and screaming into something resembling a success story; dylan has finally found a team that appreciates him in washington; they are living their lives, separately.
the oilers come to dc for their annual visit. connor and dylan don't get dinner — they stopped doing that a long time ago. sometimes, they'll chat in the hallway after a game, but sometimes the most they do is bump each other on the ice in that way that means hello, i'm aware that you're here. this feels like it's going to be one of those nights, where it's just the bump, the acknowledgement. it's whatever. not important. the oilers need the win. they've been having a rough roadtrip. they go up two early, then cough up three in a row in the second, and in the third, connor takes a big hit while he's crashing the net and whacks his head hard on the crossbar of the goal. everything explodes, and then everything goes black.
and then he wakes up. not on the ice, not in the hospital, not anywhere he recognizes — he's not in his own life. maybe this first one is the universe where buffalo won the mcdavid sweepstakes in 2015, and he's in a condo overlooking lake erie. maybe there's a recent picture of him and dylan on the refrigerator, which is weird, because they haven't taken a photo together in years. i am physically restraining myself from figuring out all of the universe-hopping stuff, but long story short, this keeps happening. every time he falls asleep, he wakes up in a new universe. sometimes he's an oiler, sometimes he's not. he's almost always a hockey player, but sometimes he's not. once, pretty early on, he wakes up to a familiar voice while someone shakes him gently awake on a couch.
"come on, davo, you know sleeping out here always gives you a crick in your neck," dylan is saying. connor, half-asleep, lets himself be tugged to a bedroom, arranged into being a little spoon. as he's drifting off, he wonders if he was on the couch because they fought, wonders what they could have fought about, wants desperately to know what lives they're living here in this world, but he's too far gone, and he wakes up alone in another new universe feeling so dumbstruck with sadness that he rolls over and goes back to sleep without even figuring out where or what he is.
most of the worlds are just a few steps away from his own reality, but some of them are weird and wild. dystopian worlds, worlds with incredible technological advancements, a world where he can see ghosts, a world where he can read minds. a world where he has dylan inked on the inside of his wrist, and he thinks it's a tattoo until he sees that everyone has a name on their wrist like that. he looks everywhere, convinced that because the name is there, dylan must be nearby, but he can't find him anywhere.
he doesn't know if any of this is real, if it even matters what he does in all of these worlds, and he doesn't know if he'll ever get back to his original reality, or if one day he'll wake up in a world and just be stuck there, so he does his best in each one, trying not to fuck things up. sometimes he's married to a woman. he never knows how to act in those universes. sometimes, he wakes up with guys who are clearly one-night stands. a couple of times, he has a boyfriend who's a secret. once, he has a boyfriend who's not. he doesn't know how to act with them, either. he doesn't know them.
then he wakes up with dylan again. or, he wakes up with with lips on his neck and a hand sliding into his pajama pants, a good morning murmured in his ear. they never did this in real life. or — in that life, connor's first life, the one that's starting to feel frighteningly far away. but connor doesn't think about that in this moment, because they never did this in real life, even when he wanted it, when he was a teenager with the most painful crush in the world and there were a moments when he thought it might be possible. they have slow, lazy sex. dylan touches him like every inch of him is familiar. afterward, when they're laying together all sated and pleased, connor thinks to himself, don't fall asleep don't fall asleep don't fall asleep, but he must doze off for even half a second, because he opens his eyes in a hotel room in atlanta. he's in a universe where the thrashers still exist.
and on it goes. worlds upon worlds, universes upon universes. it gets lonely; it gets boring. connor wants to go home. he wants to wake up with dylan again. if he woke up with dylan again, he wouldn't mind one more universe, but he's just about had it with the rest of them. he misses his real teammates, misses his stupid text thread with his brother, wants to call his mom. he starts waking up and, if it's not his real life and dylan's not there, he just goes back to sleep. if he can't fall back asleep — fuck every well-rested version of himself, seriously — he bullshits his way through until he can figure out where to buy some melatonin or whatever.
maybe he's dying. or maybe he's dead, and this is hell. or purgatory. he doesn't think his family believes in purgatory, but that doesn't mean it's not real.
the barrier between worlds starts getting thinner. now, if he just closes his eyes for too long, he's gone. new universe. he starts to be able to — hear isn't quite the right word, but it's the best one he has for the sensation, so — hear the next universe coming, if he closes his eyes and concentrates. it makes it easy. a new kind of tedium. flipping through worlds with barely a glance, because all he wants is—
he wakes up with dylan again. or, precisely, he wakes up to a giant, fluffy golden retriever licking his face, and dylan in the background, calling out with laughter and resignation, "buddy, no, let him sleep!"
too late, connor thinks. "too late," he says out loud. it's been dozens of universes since he spoke out loud.
"i swear he can sense the moment you start even thinking of waking up," dylan says. "come on, if you're up anyway, i'm making breakfast."
connor is wearing a ring on his left ring finger. his stomach growls. he goes to the kitchen, and dylan serves him eggs on a plate held be a hand with a matching ring on the left ring finger.
"please tell me you made coffee," he says, and of course dylan did. connor downs as much of it as he can stomach. he is not falling asleep today.
they're still hockey players. they're in — raleigh, connor figures out through context clues. it's their day off. they're supposed to go grocery shopping. they do go grocery shopping. they hold hands while grocery shopping. it feels like a dream. it's perfect. after they put the groceries again, dylan looks at him askance and asks, "is there something on my face? you keep staring at me today."
"uh," connor says. "i don't know, maybe i'm in love with you or something."
dylan rolls his eyes, but also beams, and crowds connor against the kitchen counter to kiss him. they kiss for a long time before they move to the bedroom. having sex again, connor wonders if it's real that dylan's body feels familiar. he's so careful to not close his eyes for more than a blink. he wouldn't be able to handle it if this got ripped away from him, too. there's still a lot of day left when they're done, and it's lazy and lovely and perfect. when they go to bed that night, connor lays awake for as long as he can, watching dylan sleep. at around three in the morning, he wakes dylan up just so he can kiss him a little bit more. dylan complains about the waking up, but not the kissing, and falls back asleep quickly once connor lets him. connor makes it to sunrise before he can't keep his eyes open anymore. he tries, he tries so hard, but he hears the next universe whooshing in, cold, a bloom of pain in his head—
he's on his back on the ice at capital one arena. everything is too bright, and he makes out the feeling of the hand squeezing his before he can actually see anything. "hey, connor, don't move, we're bringing out a board," someone is saying. connor shuts his eyes, hard. he doesn't go anywhere. another squeeze, too tight.
"davo," dylan says.
connor blinks him into focus. their eyes meet, and dylan exhales something like a relieved laugh.
"hey," he says, his hand warm around connor's. "there you are."

Send me a potential AU: In 2015 Connor McDavid is drafted by the Leafs
Okay so this is from a Very Old ask game where it's "give me an AU, I give you five things about it". I forgot to do this, predictably. So! Let's do it now.
Toronto must win the Draft Lottery here. This means the draft order is Toronto, Buffalo, Arizona, Edmonton for the first four. Toronto drafts McDavid, Buffalo drafts Eichel. These are easy picks. Arizona, obviously, still picks Strome. Now, I don't know if Edmonton picks Marner and preserves the draft. My hunch is they don't, and go for Noah Hanifin instead. This means Carolina... fuck I do NOT want them getting Marner... aha! Sources from the time say they were highly interested in Hanifin, Marner, and Lawson Crouse at 5. Crouse was also better ranked in the pre-draft rankings, and is notably larger than Marner, and we know how NHL GMs are about size. Let's give them Crouse. And New Jersey can have Marner at 6. Zacha drops to 11 and is taken by the Panthers. The rest of the draft can stay as it actually happened.
While I froth at the mouth imagining Marner on the Devils, let's focus on Edmonton and Toronto. Now, I'm not going to butterfly effect my way through nine seasons of NHL hockey and drafts, so let's say everything else stays constant enough. This means your Core Four are now McDavid, Matthews, Nylander, and Tavares. Draisaitl is your full time #1 center in Edmonton, and I suspect with Hanifin they don't go after Nurse.
That being said, Toronto is still cursed. McDavid centering Matthews is fucking electric. But that team still can't win a playoff round, no matter what they do. Edmonton, too, struggles a lot more - Nugent-Hopkins is a fine 2C, but definitely not the McDavid to Draisaitl. With Hanifin, the Larsson trade might not happen, and Hall could stay in Edmonton longer-term as well. Butterfly effect, though. (Hyman, of course, is unaffected and enjoys scoring goals in the blue paint as always.)
The media is fucking crazy in Toronto. It takes a special kind of person to live up to that. Nothing McDavid will do is ever good enough. Especially because he's seen as The Next One. If you thought the media around Matthews, Nylander, Marner is rough, put the spotlight on McDavid and crank it up to 12. Poor Davo.
But I think despite that, Willy Styles and AMatts would be good for Davo. Teach him to have a little fun. Get him out of his head and remind him there's more out there than just hockey. McDavid is characterized as a "hockey robot", and to some level, he doesn't seem to conceptualize there being more to life than a game he is simply very good at but perhaps doesn't enjoy as much as you'd expect. Willy and Auston would fix that, I think, and develop a personality in poor Davo. Plus, he might be better dressed, too. Anyways, Winger Auston Matthews being psychosexually obsessed with his ubertalented center Connie McDavid when?
That's all for this one, the worms are braining here! Hope this is what you wanted, anon!

Like one single person in the whole of Game of Thrones has managed to dislike Ser Davos Seaworth, and it was because of his moral stand against letting her burn people alive. Every king he meets decides they want this warm-voiced former smuggler on their small council. Hot in a down-to-earth, not-showing-off kind of way. The World Economic Forum Says It Will ‘Accelerate’ Implementation of Globalist Agenda 2030
World leaders will be gathering together later this year to “accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2030,” according to an announcement made by the unaccountable, corporate-led World Economic Forum (WEF) earlier this week.
The United Nations (UN) and the WEF appear frustrated by a lack of progress made towards their ‘Great Reset‘ ideology, alongside Agenda 2030, the socialist, ideological successor to the failed “Millennium Development Goals”.
The WEF – led by German engineer Klaus Schwab, whose father once worked for the Nazi Party apparatus – has said previous efforts to implement their plans “suffered unforeseen setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, major negative impacts of climate change, and the rising cost of food and fuel everywhere due to the conflict in Ukraine.”
Global leaders and representatives are, therefore, being summoned to “strategize” and expedite the progress of what the WEF refers to as “arguably the greatest-ever human endeavor undertaken to create peaceful, just, equal, and sustainable societies.”
The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs has argued that “[p]ractical solutions that can accelerate progress on the [Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs)] will be urgently needed.”
The seventeen SDGs comprising Agenda 2030 were first compiled in 2015 and were agreed upon by 191 UN Member State governments, though not necessarily their voting publics. These “goals” include laudable aspirations such as “ending poverty”, and eradicating world hunger, amongst more nefarious globalist goals in areas of gender ideology and hard-left socialist economics.
Since Davos 2o21, the WEF has publicly discussed how these goals can be used to achieve the ‘Great Reset,’ which would see ordinary people able to own nothing personally. The WEF claims this will increase happiness in the world.
Civic Participation.
The WEF is focusing on something called “civic participation” to push its plans. They describe this as tackling “economic inequality, gender imbalances, corruption, and environmental degradation.”
“In the quest to build back better,” says the WEF, “civil society is proposing new ways of achieving the SDGs and creating a better post-pandemic world.”
What this will look like is something approximating communism, for a better world is one where “the benefits are evenly spread” because “development must be about freedom from fear and freedom from want.”
This appears to be very much in line with the WEF’s agenda where everyone works together for the “common good,” rather than aiming for profit or reward for hard work rendered or risks taken.
Halfway There.
The WEF plans to assemble world leaders after the highly-anticipated Sustainable Development Goals Progress Report is published by the Secretary-General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, later this year.
The report’s findings will inevitably lay the foundations for the international deliberations. “This year’s report,” insists the WEF, “is especially crucial as we’re nearing the halfway point of Agenda 2030.”
