Warnings: implied domestic abuse

Iris woke up with a throbbing headache. She had been tucked into bed, which she didn’t remember doing.

The morning light filtered through her windows, and it made her head pound.

But in order to close the curtains, she’d have to get up.

Iris groaned and pulled her blanket over her head.

“Oh good,” said a quiet voice. “You’re awake.”

It took her a moment to recognize that it was Kit. “What time is it?” she mumbled. 

“Twelve after ten.”

Alarm ran through her, and she shot up. She winced.

“Take it easy,” said Kit. “It’s your day off.”

“Oh thank god.” Iris fell back against her pillows, vaguely nauseous. Kit stood next to her bed, amused. 

“Did you even go to bed?” she asked. 

“I slept.”

“In your room?”

“You were drunk. I wanted to keep an eye on you.”

“Thanks,” she said, closing her eyes. “Could you go get me some breakfast? With orange juice?”

Iris was aware she was whining, but she couldn’t bring herself to care at the moment. She could have asked Kit to magic away her hangover, but she deserved it for drinking so much. Served her right.

“Yes, Mistress.”

Kit left, and Iris lay in her bed, trying to will herself to shower. 

The need to use the bathroom eventually forced her out of bed.

Showering did make her feel better, and the floral soap lifted her mood.

By the time she had finished and gotten dressed, Kit had breakfast waiting for her.

“Have you eaten?” she asked, uncovering the french toast and pouring herself coffee.

“Yes,” he said.

“Good.”

Kit sat on the floor as she ate, and Iris could see a strong dark green coming in at his scalp.

“Your hair isn’t black, is it?”

He seemed startled by the question. “No,” he said simply.

“It’s changing color,” she continued, “You’ve got some green coming in. I take it that’s good?”

A faint smile twitched at the corners of his mouth. “Mhm.”

Slight disappointment coursed through her.

It seemed that for every day Kit had a conversation with her, he’d be nearly silent the next.

“Let’s get some sun after breakfast,” she suggested. “I’ve been inside all week, and you need to pick out where your garden will be.”

“I get to choose?”

“Why wouldn’t you?”

Kit shrugged halfheartedly. Getting words out of him would be difficult today; she could tell.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” he had said that first evening. Maybe he just needed a topic.

“Have you thought about what you want to do with it?” she asked.

“A little.” Iris waited, taking a sip of her orange juice.

“I… I’d like it to look like home,” he explained, fiddling with the fabric of his shirt. “Just a bit.”

“Are you going to plant some wild roses?”

Kit nodded. “If I’m allowed.”

Iris stood from her chair. “You can plant whatever you want, Kit.”

“Even a tree? Ivy? Berry bushes?” he asked, following her out the door.

“I did say whatever you want.” Brennan greeted them with a nod, and they headed down the hall. “I’m not particularly interested in gardening, Kit. I don’t care what you plant; go wild.”

Kit brightened beside her, and Iris hid a smile. He was sweet, and he deserved a place that was his; that he could choose himself.

The late morning air was warm, slightly humid, and she assumed that was good for a plant fae like Kit.

He seemed to soak in the sun, and he truly looked much better than before.

Jeff was weeding a flower bed, wheelbarrow beside him and trowel in hand.

“Good morning, Jeff.”

Jeff looked up, and squinted in the bright sun.

“Morning, your majesty.” His eyes slid over to Kit, who winced. “Morning… you.”

“Hello,” said Kit. 

“I’ve offered Kit a spot on the grounds. Something just for him to look over.”

Jeff didn’t look pleased, but he knew better than to argue with her. “Fine with me,” he said tightly. 

“Great,” Iris gave him a sunny smile. “Thank you for understanding.”

Jeff softened a little before turning back to his work.

They wandered the gardens; Kit looking around for the perfect spot.

“Anything catch your eye yet?”

“Sorry,” he said.

“No, it’s fine,” she reassured him. “I don’t mind. I could use the exercise.”

They rounded a corner, and Kit stopped.

“What is it?”

“I, uh, I like that corner over there.”

Iris followed his gaze. The high garden wall met the castle, and the castle wall curved inwards, creating a small nook. It was empty, save for a tree that created a patch of shade against the sun.

“What do you like about it?” she asked lightly, curious.

Pink tinged Kit’s cheeks. “It’s quiet,” he said. “And out of the way. And, um, it looks nice for a nap,” he added quickly. “And the walls… I don’t have to worry about someone sneaking up on me.”

Iris recalled how James Harbor had boasted about catching Kit with an iron-laced net while he slept.

“Then it’s yours.”

Three days later, and Kit dozed under the oak. It was the perfect temperature; warm but not hot, and he curled into the protective roots of the tree.

A robin sang sweetly in the branches, and Kit hummed along.

Iris was busy in a meeting, and he had wanted a nap to pass the time.

He was right about how peaceful it was.

It seemed like this spot had been forgotten about, and he liked it that way. The perfect little oasis; where he could be left alone.

“Mr. Kit?”

Or not.

Kit yawned, stretching out. “Hm?”

“I- I need some help.”

Kit’s eyes flew open, and in front of him stood the red-haired maid from before. David.

He had a black eye, and he was holding a rucksack.

Kit sat up. “What happened?”

David sniffed, lip trembling, and Kit noticed his slight sway.

“Hey,” he said, softly. “Come here.”

David sank into the grass, and Kit scooted over to sit next to him.

“I’m not supposed to be here,” said David. “I- I should b-be at home. But I don’t want to go home anymore.”

His breath smelled like alcohol.

“Have you been drinking?”

David nodded, resting his chin on his legs. “I thought it would help,” he said. “It always helps Dad.”

“It doesn’t really work that way.”

David burst into tears.

“I don’t want to do this anymore,” he sobbed. “My face hurts and he takes all my money and now we don’t have anything for food because he spent it all and he gets mad at me for it and-”

David gasped for air, and Kit pulled him close. David wept into his shirt.

“I-” Kit worked his jaw, trying to sort out what he could and couldn’t say. “Are you hungry?” he settled on. Food never hurt anyone.

David nodded. “Y-yeah. We- we ran out of… I really tried. I really did.” His voice was so small, and anger bubbled in Kit’s chest.

“Let’s go get some lunch, and we’ll figure something out.”

David sniffled. “Okay.”

Paring: Miles Morales x fem!reader

Summary: Your attempts to avoid Miles have worked. Until it’s time for his dad’s promotion party. That’s it lowkey. The next part will have more I promise. This is also at the beginning of ATSV so you’ve been warned.

Category: Not sad but not happy??

A/n: im soryr im so tired and I wasn’t even planning on writing another part but I felt badly. Also ik think chapter isnt as good as the first but I’ve rewritten in three thousand times and have two drafts. This is the one I like more.

No matter how upset you were, no matter hard you tried to ignore Miles; there was no getting out of this. You had to go to Miles’ dad’s promotion party. Worst case scenario, you saw Miles and he tried to talk to you again. Best case scenario, you don’t see him and get free pizza from the party.

Either way, you were going. After all, you were mad at Miles. Not his dad.

So that was how you found yourself here, on the roof that was filled with people you didn’t know, trying to fit as much free food onto your plate while simultaneously trying to avoid eye contact with anyone who might start a conversation.

Unfortunately, you were unsuccessful in your attempts. Mrs. Morales soon approached you, just as you were stuffing your face with one of the cookies from your plate.

“I know the cookies are good, but please don’t choke,” Mrs. Morales says, smiling softly.

“Mhsis Mowawwes,” you swallow the cookie before trying again. “Mrs. Morales! This party is wonderful, and so are the cookies, obviously.”

“Thank you, I bought them myself,” she chuckles. “Have you seen Miles anywhere? He was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. He has the cake.”

“The cake? That’s the most important part of a party. No I haven’t seen him, sorry.”

She sighs, “that’s okay. That boy is always late to everything. I need to start telling him to get there twenty minutes before they actually start, then maybe he’d be on time.”

“Maybe you’ll only have to tell him to get there,” you check your watch, “thirteen minutes before it starts. He’s walking in right now.”

“Ugh, y/n you’re a lifesaver! I’m going to talk some sense into that boy,” she says while heading in his direction.

“Yep,” you mumble to yourself before eating another cookie and finding a quieter corner that you could sit in.

Your peacefulness didn’t last long, as after the fight Miles had with his parents, they went to find you.

“Y/n! Just the person we needed!” Mr. Davis said as they approached you.

“We were wondering if you would go talk to Miles. I’m sure you heard what happened earlier,” Mrs. Morales said.

“It was kind of hard not to,” Mr. Davis mumbled.

Ignoring her husband, she continued, “We really think something is bothering him, and he won’t talk to us. So maybe he would talk to you?”

“Oh I don’t really know, he didn’t really seem in the mood to talk to anyone,” you reply awkwardly, trying to get out of the conversation. The aforementioned worst case scenario was upon you.

“Please? It would double as my promotion present; as you didn’t get me one,” Mr. David said, confrontationally.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know I had to get you one,” you replied, panicked.

“I’ll only forgive you if you go talk to Miles,” he says sweetly before his wife turns him around and harshly whispers to him. Something about “manipulating” and “poor girl,” while you just sat there confused.

Finally when they turned back toward you, you told them you would do it.

“Thank you so much y/n,” Mrs. Morales says while ushering you towards the exit of the roof.

“Yes, thank you. The door should be unlocked. But if it isn’t, there’s a spare key under the mat,” Mr. Davis says as you reach the exit.

“That’s not very safe,” you reply, a little unnerved. You have to talk to Miles about that later. Maybe. If you felt like it.

“Oh please! I’m not the police chief yet, I can still be a little crazy now and then. Plus I change up the spot every other year, so we should be fine,” he says, ushering you out the door.

“Thanks again!” They say in unison, just before the door closes. You sigh before making your way down the many stairs, to the apartment.

Sure enough, the door is unlocked. But just to make sure he wasn’t joking, you checked under the mat and found the key. Huffing, you stand back up and make your way into the apartment towards Miles’ room.

“Miles! We need to talk about a few things. Starting with your dad’s key placement…” you trail off after opening the door to Miles’ room to see him and Gwen looking at his shelf full of his ‘action figures.’ This was the worser case scenario. Worster? Worsest? It doesn’t matter. This was bad.

I just read this and IMAGINE vale in an interview being like I would never hurt a child, they are free of their parents sins or whatever, him just yapping wild shit, fork found in kitchen, (maybe even about pedro who is jlo and dani's child, if you decide to include that) and then marc hearing this and getting so angry because he DID hurt david, a child who has done nothing wrong except for being marc's child

And then david hearing it as well and overthinking, and wondering what he did wrong if vale goes against his own moral code with him (and let's not talk about the can of worms it would open in his mind and thoughts like "maybe i am the reason papa (marc) gets so much hate and vale being so cruel to him and then Marc finds out about his thoughts (or worst, someone like dani or jlo) and them having to talk him out of it, having to convince a toddler about the fact that vale is just insane and that this has nothing to do with him)

Or even worse, if vale ever gets a question like "if the child didn't exist, would you and marc still be together" and vale the asshole being like "yeah, probably" basically confirming his biggest fear and marc's worst nightmare (his child hating himself because of vale)

Anyway, just a random thought

Hiiiii, okay how the hell did you hack my phone to read my drafts?

Because tell me HOW this is so similar to something that definitly will be picked up soon. I'm not going into detail to not spoiler you but I can confirm that David is going to have a very cruel moment of "what if I'm the problem?" Oh I am so close to spill the beans on that but I think it'd be more existing as a surprise so I'm biting my tongue...

Now don't get me wrong, I am in love with that first bit. Oh it is so sick and twisted, just perfect! But for me to really make it fit, I feel like I need to change it a little bit, if you don't mind? Vale is very careful and manipulative on what he says in public so I am not sure if such a blant statement of "A child is not responsible for their parents faults" would cause lots of blacklash. So how about letting the public statement be more like "Pedro was born as the product of deep love. And even if his dad (Jorge) is an asshole, you can't really blame that on that little angle" (cut to little chaos pedro - like that *evil laughter* meme from Lilo and Stitch) I feel like it still says the same thing but not as direct if you know what I mean? Plus it had the same/ similar reaction for Marc because David too is a product of their deep love which Vale actively denies with that statemant. So basically he isnt just denying being Davids father but also everything that had been between them, tehir relation, their love and everything else. And of course Vale is blaming David for Marcs allegidatly fault (cheating which he didnt but yk what I mean) so that aspect would be there too. I hope you dont mind and still like this

BUT OOOOH!OOOOH YOU GAVE ME A REAL TOY WITH THAT LAST THOUGHT!!!! Are you kidding me?! Vale confirming they'd still be together. I LOVE THAT! Now imagine Marc being asked about that in an interview. Like "Rossi said if it hadnt been for David, you'd still be together. Can you confirm that or give us your opinion on that?" And MArc just coldly stares in the camera and is like "No. If he even managed to use his biological son against our relationship, I'm sure he would easily find something else. And despite that I refuse to imagine a world where my son isn't with me. He is the most important person in my life and I will not budge on that for anyone. He will never be 2nd to anyone." Mind you, I used biological father for a reason. Rn Vale is just that. Not his father or papa, because there is no emotional connection. So he is just the biological father.

**in Relativity Olive occupies a role very similar to McGucket’s. I’m mirroring having backstory with the old people of the tale, Olive is an old childhood friend of the twins and she eventually ended up at the same college as Dipper. Eventually, She assisted in building the portal, went kinda insane bc of it, and took to isolating herself in the woods, leaving her child (David) to be raised in the foster system. She had no contact with him until he showed up one day with a four or five year old daughter, LEFT her there, and vanished from their lives. Olive raised Aggie from there, initially keeping a very tight leash on the young witch (something that is well known in the Yearling family by everyone including David) but around the same time as Stanley and Stanford came go stay in GF, Aggie was granted more freedom to explore the woods and even go into town. She’s a much more cheerful child, reflecting more of and Olive-like presence. She loves to good around and be silly but she also doesn’t know how to talk to other kids. Her magic is light hearted but powerful, rather than terrifying and REALLY powerful. Olive is the tragic one now, driven somewhat mad by what she’s been through, and resorting to being an incredibly antisocial conspiracy theorist. She tells people she was abducted by aliens which is how she processed the portal trauma. She doesn’t like to talk about her son EVER.

**Also Bobby still exists as Olives dad. He’s just very old and is blind bc he’s old not bc of magic/curse/genetics. He’s like a crazy grandpa character who’s really fun and Aggie adores her “Pops” very much ❤️ He shows up randomly over the course of the summer.

**Reverse Falls I’m still picking apart, but it’s based off of the vibe from this post bc it’s so good!!! but basically instead of a purely evil bitch, Aggie or “Agatha” as she’s called in RevFalls is instead more interested in making more witches (apart from those nasty little twins, she wouldn’t help them unless if that handsome uncle of theirs sweetened the deal) as well as doing all sorts of rituals and curses. So she’s taken in her granddaughter with the full intent to make her a witch, by any means necessary (this is where it gets it’s lost dark, subjecting Olive (Ollie) to the torturous magic learning that regular Aggie endured, but at age 12.

**Agatha’s son (called Rob) is also a magic user (his mom had nothing to do with it he got magic his own secret way), though he’s a pretty negligent father and hateful son, content to leave his skittish and tortured daughter with his morally grey as best, evil at worst mother.

**big diff from the way I used to write Rev is that Agatha doesn’t hate Ollie. She doesn’t LOVE her but the worst things she does to her is subject her to magical training. She’s generally a decent guardian.

**In the post Stan is in league with Bill and Bill is constantly threatening to reveal Stan’s real identity and oh boy what if there was someone else who knows the difference between the two of them but one that ISNT stuck in a contract with him??? Enemies to lovers, fighting to kissing, etc

**basically rev falls is kinda hard bc they’re isn’t a 1:1 character swap to do with the Yearings so they’re just generally a bit nastier. I did what I could lol

Sci Fi Month Review 7 : Roger Cormans Fantastic Four

For this review…..We're looking at something special,the unreleased Fantastic Four movie

In this 1994 film Scientist Reed Richards(Alex Hyde-White ) and his companions Sue Storm (Rebecca Staab ),Johnny Storm (Jay Underwood ). and Ben Grimm(Michael Bailey Smith) take a space flight to study a comet,but things go wrong and the four find themselves changed with extraordinary powers and in the clutches of the mysterious figure named Doctor Doom (Joseph Culp )

So Marvel is huge now in mainstream American pop culture ……But that wasnt always the case.I'll just be honest people ,I am hesitant looking at pre Blade/X Men/Spider-Man live action Marvel adaptations cause they can be …Rough .I mean theres some gems ,I will always love The Incredible Hulk TV show starring Bill Bixby and even have a soft spot for the subsequent TV movies based on that show …..But then you have the 1990 Captain America movie ,Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD starring David Hasselhoff and of course,Howard the Duck .One that has always fascinated me is this film because in fandom circles for many years it was infamous for being the Marvel movie so bad ,they never released it (Which isnt the case truth is more complicated and capitalistic ,basically the film was a way to maintain rights ),a film you could only find as bootlegs at conventions,seen as a geeky oddity along the same lines as the Star Wars Holiday Special .Now you can find it on youtube (Which is how I watched it ) ,and having watched it……I think this film is kind of underrated and I am sad it did not get a proper release

So I gotta explain myself :As a kid some of my earliest comic memorie were reading the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby run of Fantastic Four ,and my dad had the complete series of the 90's Fantastic Four cartoon ….So the Fantastic Four have a special place for me .From the pathos of the Things plight ( a man trapped in the body of a monster ),to the sci fi adventure,to the romance of Reed and Susan ,to the grand villainy of Doctor Doom(Heck a slew of great villains),to the feeling of family ,the Fantastic Four appealed to me .....And I am kind of grumpy that Fantastic Four lacks a great adaptation that captures the spirit .Now there is no shortage of Fantastic Four adaptations out there.....But most of them,at least for me,are kind of mid ,specifically the film adaptations have left a lot to be desired .The Tim Story duology has the humor and the four leads relatively right ,but drops the ball in that they dont DO much and completely misrepresent the villains ,and 2015's Fant4stic might be the worst comic book movie I have ever seen .However this film ,while not the definitive film version I crave and not really a great movie .....IS the BEST movie version of the Fantastic Four and a fairly decent super hero film I feel

Now there is a lot I could make fun of ,its very flawed,like keep in mind ....This was produced by Roger Corman ,they didnt have much of a budget ,so the visual effects are a bit cheesy and bad(The CG Human Torch looks like he is straight out of Reboot ) but I dunno I find them charming .The only lack of budget thing that bothered me is the dialogue of Doctor Doom.....In that they didnt either have the money to loop him or think to loop him(HAve him record his lines later ) which is a problem cause Doom is clanking about and is wearing a mask that muffles his speech......So I dont know what the main villain is SAYING sometimes (Credit to Joseph Culp who does project very well so I know 75% of his dialogue but that 25 % is annoying ).My main flaws are the romance elements ,from the creepy Reed falling for Susan who he knew as a child to Ben and ALicia being in love despite meeting ONCE(And even that scene is a bit creepy ).We also have a subplot that frustrates me as the film has two villains ,Doctor Doom of course.....But then you have the Jeweler.Now the Jeweler was supposed to be the Mole Man ,a guy who due to his physical appearence has cast aside society to live underground and was actually the fours first villain.....Till Marvel said "NO you have the rights to this select group of character,not the Mole Man " ,so he was reworked into the Jeweler ....And I think they should have cut him out.Now I like the idea of his subplot ,him falling for Alicia and trying to make her his queen ,inviting Ben who has now become the monstrus thing to joing his group and Ian Trigger actually gives a great performance ,being creepy but also having a sense of sadness (He reminds me of what Tim Burton tried to do with the Penguin in Batman Returns ) ,and while the name is changed,its a good adaptation of the Mole Man .........Pity he adds nothing to the film other then causing the accident that makes the four the four and kidnapping Alicia,things that Doctor Doom couldve easilly done .I mean it folks in the grand scheme of things,the Jewler is pointless,he never fights the Fantastic Four and he just kind of runs off before the third act .I like the performance and the plot idea,but it shouldve been reworked or cut

Thaaaatttt said.....I still like the movie.....BEcause of the Fantastic Four movies.....Its the bonly one to get that Fantastic Four feel to me:A fun lighthearted sci fi adventure and thats what I want from Fantastic Four .The Four feel in character,its accurrate to the source material andits the only one to get Doctor Doom right at ALL(Actually keeping that he is the King of Latveria and hinting at doombots ).Yes the film is low budget but it makes that budget work ,heck the comic accurate sewn spandex costumes for the Four are charming to me because in universe the costumes are made by Susan and they legit look like something she could make herself (An issue I have with a lot of superhero movie costumes ment to be handmade ).Doctor Doom looks like he stepped right out of the comics with the green cloak and tunic combo and metal mask /armor ,I love this look for Doom .The Thing looks pretty good too with an animatronic face that brings to mind the old Jack Kirby design and stunt man Carl Ciafalio gives a good physical performance (THoughI do find it amusing that the Thing is SMALLER then his human persona Ben Grimm,played by Michael Bailey Smith ) .No one in the main cast is bad ,alll these actors are giving it their alll .I have already discussed my soft spot for Ian Trigger as the Jewler, Rebecca Staab is a good Susan ,and Jay Underwood is a suitable Johnny .Michael Bailey Smith is a good Ben Grimm and he also does a decent job voicing the Thing and bringing the appropriate pathos (Though I do wish he had the Things signature Brooklyn accent ).Alex Hyde White might be my favorite Reed Ritchards really selling both the scientist and the leader aspect .Biggest props have to go Joseph Culp,who delivers a great performance despite being in a vfery uncomfortable costume with a mask that muffles his speech,and is able to project well ,make grand gestures (Inspired by real tyrants like Mussolini ) but also make him a fun eloquent villain who still has a sense of humor with a good hero villain dynamic with Reed .Also he is CONSTANTLY evil laughing ,and I dig it

I like this movie ,there is clearly a lot of heart in this movie .....Which makes me sad that the film was mistreated by those at the top.Its not a lost masterpiece ,but it is an highly entertaining B movie that pays tribute to its source material

ive been watchin Schitt’s Creek (it’s v good and funny) and i really enjoy the portrayal of a pansexual dude who’s a bit on the gnc/androgynous side but that doesnt like cancel out the fact that he’s attracted to women and stuff. idk im not wording this great but its nice

Go Watch the Venture Brothers

So just heard the complete and utter Bullshit news that Adult Swim has cancelled one of (if not the best shows) they have the Venture Bros. This series is one of those shows that for WHATEVER reason never got to the level of fandom Rick and Morty has even though they’ve been at the genre parody game longer and in my opinion better. 

The series is about Rusty Venture former boy adventurer and failing super scientist who in an attempt to keep his head above water in debt goes around with his two boys Hank and Dean, and bodyguard Brock on misadventues while various legal archnemisis go after him, such as the Monarch. 

So if you never watched or never heard of this 7 season series let me give you a break down on why you should, 

1) Art Style & Animation

Venture bros is one of those rare Adult aimed animated series that that really truly tries to utilize their medium to the best of their abilities. Season 1 had like such a small budget and corners had to be cut so it can be a little hard to watch at times. 

But with each passing season they get a little better, a little more fluid, go just a little harder and it truly feels rewarding to watch. Like seeing an artist you follow online improve over the years. Like they COULD have stayed with the choppy and stiff animation from season 1 it fit right in with its fellow adult animated shows but it didn’t. They strove for quality to have something that matched the story they were telling.

2) The Writing 

Venture Bros has some of the tightest and consistently great writing of ANY serialized show I’ve seen, adult, animated or other wise. Wanna know why? Cause it’s all done by TWO people (save for like one ep each season where one other person is allowed to touch their baby). Yeah TWO people and they work their asses off every season to interject, humor, refrences, parody, plot and character development in equal measure. 

3) Character Development

Um yes in case you were wondering that’s right an adult animated show has CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT  that holds as the series goes on. Not to give spoilers but characters will go through changes in alignment, relationships will develop and change, some characters will go through negative arcs where they are straight up unbareable for a season before coming out the other side even better than they were before. There is no end of epsiode or even end of season reset. Characters, settings, and dynamics all change over the course of the show and it feels just so god damn good.

4) Story Development 

Just like the characters the story of the Venture Bros grows and changes each season. Things that are set up even as early as season one are paid off as the series goes on. Like not to be that bitch but you know how RIck and Morty teases an overarching plot ALL THE TIME but like will often just spit in the face of fans hoping for more than like one episode a season addressing it? Yeahhhhhhh that doesnt happen here, fans are consistently rewarded for putting the time in to rewatch and really think about what happened in the series. Characters that are seen in the background or are just referenced by other characters will be brought in to be recurring characters, things that start off as a small detail or gag will be given larger relevance and each time they do this you get that “OH I remember that from last season! So thats what it was!” The writers WANT you to rewatch, they WANT you to analyze and they WANT you to theorize, and they give you a show that gives back the time you put in.

5) Parody & Reference 

This series does a great thing with parody. They make real characters  who are just as enjoyable as the characters they parody, they make story lines that both poke fun at the absurdity of the media but shows the writers love for it. So often parody and references are just used to mock the thing but with Venture Bros you feel the love and care so when you know the thing being parodied you can laugh but feel good about laughing cause they are never laughing at a thing maybe you cared for in your youth but rather laughing with it.

And it’s never just one thing. When they parody a thing its often layered with other things to make it even more unique. Scooby-Doo is overlayed with famous criminals, Laura Croft is mixed Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, GI Joe is given the look of the Village People and so on. They never go for the easy joke or reference. Hell theres an episode that starts with them reciting the lyrics to David Bowies Space Oddity for really no reason other than they could. They weave these things in naturally with their setting and characters so nothing feels out of place. Like if you dont catch a reference or parody you dont feel like “I think this isa reference to something?” like a LOT of things do not just adult animated shows. You arent taken out of the moment cause it all feels so natural. 

6) The Characters 

God damn these characters, I could go on for hours about these characters. From main to one off these are some of the most likeable characters you can find. I mean it when I say I can’t think of a single character I wish they had cut cause they are all so well created. Even the ones I hate i have fun hating cause they were made to be that way. I’ll be good though I’ll only talk about my absolute top faves.

- The Monarchs

You ever sit and wish villain couples could have functional  healthy relationships? Well look no further than Malcom Fitzcarraldo aka The Monarch and Dr. Shelia Girlfriend (yes that is her last name). The Monarch is a high strung impulsive saturday morning cartoon villain whos tendency to over react is only matched by his unspecified hatred of Dr. Venture. And Dr. G is his nonsense partner in crime who will cut a bitch if they don’t play by their admittedly weird rules. Both characters are great on their own but are better together. Though that doesnt mean they always get along. Like a real couple they have their ups and downs they fight, break up, make-up and grow stronger in their relationship with each season. 

- Shore Leave

Ok ok so I want you to imagine James Bond, mixed with GI Joe simmering in a cocktail of the most flamboyant gay men you have ever seen and you have one of my favorite gay characters/characters in general. Shore Leave is a member of OSI (the shows SHEILD/GI Joe parody organization) he’s loud, brash, flippant, sassy and highly competent at his job loving every second of getting to beat bad guys down within an inch of their life. I love seeing him play off the stoic Brock and the two have this great brotherly dynamic that’s never called into question. He also gets to have a very cute romance with Al the Alchemist (who is also great). I could talk about this man all day.

- Dr. Rusty Venture

They did such a good job with this man. He’s a self serving, sexist, perverted, whinny, self important asshole and yet you feel pity and genuine sympathy for him and want him to succeed. You can see how Dr. V was given a raw deal by his father who seemed to care more about his adventures than his sons well being and how this molded him into the bitter man he is today, but on the flip side you can see where he chose to use that as a crutch for his worst behaviors and impulses. Seeing him slowly grow and change and be an actual good father to his boys while all the while still be a giant dick is actually really great. 

- Dr. Byron Orpheus 

Ahhhhh Dr. Orpheus part Dr. Strange Parody part busybody stay at home dad, he’s just such a delight. Dr. Orpheus is a divorcee, with an unfulfilling job of maintaining order to the cosmos (which isnt as hard as one might think), and uses his magical ablities in ways most of us would (ie menial tasks and home chores). Overly dramatic and affectionate Dr. O is a delight whenever he appears, but he’s at his best around his daughter and old friends The Order of the Triad. 

Again I can go on but all these characters ranging from main to recurring are crafted with the utmost care for you to want to see them succeed or fail, to see them again even if you know it’ll never happen, and want them to cross paths with other characters. 

The Venture Bros is one of those series that I will ALWAYS recommend even to the pickiest of humor tastes. But if you don’t believe its as good as I said or don’t think the concept is to your tastes I’ll recommend a few eps that I think best show off the base idea of the series without giving much away. In terms of plot and spoilers, though somethings wont make a lot of sense. 

- S1 ep10 "Tag Sale – You're It!" - Dr. V is having a yard sale so of course all manner of costumed weirdos show up.  - S2 ep5 "Twenty Years to Midnight" - basically a fetch quest around the world to save the planet with daddy issues - S3 ep2 "The Doctor Is Sin" - Again daddy issues but with one of the best recurring characters and a great showcase of the series deeper emotional plots - S4 ep6 "Self-Medication" - Really embraces the parody as Rusty goes to a former boy adventurer support group.  Anyway the show is 7 seasons with 80 episodes, please go watch it. I will never forgive @adultswim​ for cancelling what was to be their final season. And in closing GO TEAM VENTURE!

4- How do their families feel?

Cereza's family welcomed Talbott with open arms. David however (Cereza's dad)at first was slight distrust and a little suspicious of Talbott's intentions with Cereza(he is just a little overprotective of his kids) but he got along with Talbott as he started to know him and realize he isnt a bad kid.

They invite Tal for every holiday so be doesnt spend all by himself, they already consider the boy part of the family.

As for Talbott we are not sure if he has any other relatives left or if he just lived in a orphanage so idk about it 🤔 but there is one thing Talbott said to Cereza:

"my parents would love you if they were alive. Especially my mom."

12-How do they act in public Vs in private?

In public? Well in public they still act like they normally did when they were bffs, except it has secret hand holding(aka holding the hands under the table) and quick kisses on the cheeks(sometimes on the lips but its a quick kiss)

However when they are on their secret dates or just alone from everyone's eyes, they change.

They become more intimate with eachother like there is nobody else in the world, its just them. They are more physically and verbally affectionate with eachother, calling eachother stupid pet names, talking about how much they love eachother, hugging, cuddlig, alot of kisses and alot promises of a future with eachother.

Although sometimes even on public they cant keep their hands of eachother and they dont mind showing off they are dating and how much they love eachother (Talbott secretly loves showing off he loves Cereza and how she loves him) but they prefer being alone with eachother.

32-What are their opinions on children?

They never thought about kids on their hogwarts years, it was always something in the back of Cereza's head and Talbott isnt good interacting with other students that are younger than him especially first and second year students so he isnt a big fan of them. Not to mention how young they were to be parents in the first place.

However when they are living together after they graduate, they start thinking about being parents. Cereza is good with taking care of kids(she always watched over and took care of her small cousins alot)plus she cannot deny that the idea of a mini version of herself or a mini Talbott running around the house made her heart feel so warm. However Talbott was scared at first, he isnt good with kids and is awkward with them so he thought he would be a bad parent, not to mention he is an auror what if the worst happens to him and he leaves Cereza and their kid behind? He doesnt want his kid going through what he went when he lost his parents, all these thoughts ran on Talbott mind. Its not like he didnt want to be a father, he wanted to, but he was scared.

He and Cereza talked to eachother about it and both understood their sides and after this talk they decided to wait more until they are 100% sure both of them are ready to be parents.

They later on agreed to have kids and had three kids: two girls(twins) and one boy that both of them love alot and will do anything to protect them and make them happy.

41- How do their flaws clash?

Oh boy this is a hard question 🤔

Cereza always wants to sacrifice herself for her friends to protect them from danger while Talbott lost both of his parents in that way and in a way he can be kinda like Cereza as well.(aka wanting to sacrifice himself for those who he loves the most) So yeah and if u read that one hc/small fanfic where Cereza fights with the Wizard in white u know what happend. However with time they start to learn and understand eachother more, improving themselfs.

Last post about this because ive said everything i say in this post before but i just cant stop thinking about them and i want to ramble SO. i love amb-rprice so so much and in the main timeline i definitely see it as this like.. ambiguous thing. theyre a "thing" but they wont necessarily put a name on it . rachel isnt the only big bad in the relationship theyre just 2 teenagers with conflicting personalities that are similar enough to clash w the other's, who have no clue of how to get through their feelings/get them across to one another. i think at the beginning they wouldve been as close as anyone ever could be and chloes nervousness at the Very Start was so adorable but during their final months together before her disappearance she mustve gotten a bit distant because so much was going on, specifically frank and jefferson. rachel may be good with people and groups but when it comes to intimacy and more personal stuff shes at a loss for words and shes never trusted anyone more than chloe, finally feeling like shes able to let go of her act. drop it entirely. she isnt as manipulative with chlor as she is with others. rachel doesnt know who rachel amber even is. they definitely had wonderful moments together and made each other feel loved despite the ambiguity of it all because chloe loved her so much that she actually called her her angel, literally saying she saved her life. they helped each other through so much (it was literally the worst point in chloes life, 2 years had already passed and she was still thinking about max, making fake letters for her, having nightmares and actual hallucinations about her father who she misses more than anything, finally accepting that he wasnt the glorified image of her dad she thought he was towards the end yet still missing him dearly during lis.. as well as rachels whole mom thing) and having fun together, what rachel coming into chloes life gave her was hope and i feel like despite their strong love for each other, arguments just like the one that they had in the junkyard during their first day together would happen often. but they still find comfort and safety in each other....its very complex and i cant quite put my thoughts about them into words.... i feel like chloe wouldnt be able to understand rachel all the time even though she isnt who she is with everyone else around her. she lets herself be herself, entirely or not. to every person rachel means something different. in the game their relationship is not a toxic evil harmful one anyways its just Complicated and we dont see that often and them getting completely demonized sucks but pretending its this perfect ship doesnt do their characters justice even if the writing for rachel may have not been great... in the 1st game rachel was seen as a bad influence on chloe by david and hes kind of right but she was. already the way she was before rachel so too late and joyce describes their relationship as being "almost joined at the head" saying rachel isnt as grounded as max and calling rachel and chloe hellraisers.. rachel adds fuel to the fire that is their relationship. the fire william warned chloe of. (also im mad at the stupid wiki cuz it also noticed that the "greater beauty" line is probably about max 😒😒😒😒 me when i think im smart but im not 🥀)

one of the things i think about often is how one of the dudes who worked on the game said "the thing about rachel is chloe thinks she knows her" which says a lot (frank is a creep for dating someone he knew when she was 16 but it still hurt chloe and her feelings are justified..)

in the comics theyre so happy together, but that makes sense. theyre adults. theyve grown and changed together, even though people like hannah said rachel would push chloe to indulge in her worst behaviors. rachel becomes a sort of max figure in the comics, not egging chloe on like she used to.. but shes just as rachel-y as she should be ^^ she still has all her rachel goodness and is playful with chloe and theyre so darn cute.

Ive been playing chess w/ my dad but my 10 yr old brother can beat us both so my dad isnt pissed at me anymore. TL;DR:  All Might, Japan's number 1 villain has a successor. The problem? His successor is a hero hopeful. All Might will stop at nothing to make sure his kid gets to live his dream.

quirkless izuku, his backstory is mostly the same

all might decided that hero work had too much red tape. if he was going to take down afo, he needed the freedom to do whatever he had to and he wasnt getting that working within the law

so hes a,,, viilllaaaiinnn?? like. stain. but less murdery, would also save civilians if they were in danger

he has 0 qualms about crippling fake heroes but hes not a fan of murder

nighteye is still his sidekick, he doesnt use his quirk on allmight bc all might h a t e s it

hes kinda on board with "the future is only set in stone because you've seen it now" so he wants the freedom to break fate. but its very useful to get info, so nighteye just uses it on other people

izuku has always kinda been a big fan of all might. not openly because hes legally a villain and very much paints himself as one, but his quirk is one of the most amazing things izuku has ever seen

when he looks closer, all might has never let a civilian get hurt once hes been on scene. hes taken hits to protect housing, hes pulled heroes from the line of fire

izuku watches his sports festivals and wonders why? why did all might, the man who happily told the world he'd stop at nothing to keep them safe, suddenly flip sides like that for no reason?

izuku doesnt buy it

izuku's big yellow backpack is a big red one in this universe, hes had it so long its gone pink but he still loves it

the sludge villain

all might saves him and izuku is crying. allmight thinks its because hes scared but izuku just turns to him with this big weepy eye smile and gives him the most genuine thanks he thinks hes ever been given

(its honestly the shock of that that makes him deflate into small might, which has izuku scrambling to find tissues and called an ambulance before he thinks better of calling emergency services for All Might)

izuku is like "Im SO SORRY SIR ARE YOU oK"

and all might is like ",,, b  oy"

izuku softly asking

"can,, can i still be someone with out a quirk? can i still make a difference?"

all might doesnt get the chance to anser because there is a massive explosion in the distance

its bakugo!! hes dying

the sludge villain got away bc izuku and all might were chatting a little

izuku hears it and he feels this terrible realization, because its probably not bakugo? but its definitely bakugo because izuku's life is falling to pieces

he sprints towards him and katsuki will n e v e r admit it but he feels hope in that moment because some one is trying to help. even if its just izuku, he wasnt totally left for dead

all might sees this tiny, nervous, quirkless kid run straight up to a villain that almost killed him seconds before to save someone what looks like they'd rather die

and he thinks

"no one deserves one for all more than him"

and allmight, the most wanted villain in japan, maybe the world, jumps in

the heroes look at him and they are scared. if they couldnt take the sludge villain, what is all might going to do to them? but the scariest man in japan, the person parents tell their kids about to stop them from going out at night, blows the sludge villain to tiny pieces and carefully, gently, places the two boys by the heroes

before he vanishes before they can call for backup or even ask why

izuku gets yelled at by the heroes because the heroes are scared and angry they couldnt stop either of the villains and izuku is so overwhelmed that hes crying and he can hardly breathe

bakugo doesnt even yell at him because hes so dazed about everything that happened and he cant make himself yell at this sobbing kid that used to be his friend

(bakugo is holding izukus hand like hes going to crush it but its the only thing keeping izuku present)

izuku is walking home and hes still hicuping and crying because he almost died and the heroes hate him and he feels a hand on his shoulder, and a soft :"its ok now my boy"

he knows its all might but he cant help but hide his face in his shirt and sob

all might gets down so he can look izuku in the eye

"you asked me if you could be someone with out a quirk and i didnt get the chance to answer. my answer? you already are someone. you are someone that inspired me, a villain, to save the day. you are going to be amazing"

and looks him dead in the eye "you'll do amazing things, even with out a quirk. but, you of all people deserve one, and no matter what you chose to do with it, it can be yours. hero, villain or someone in between"

izuku looks at this villain

this painfully thin villain, who just saved his life and who has unimaginable strength

and he throws his arms around his waist and sobs

inko isnt a great mum in this au and she likes to basically pretend izuku doesnt exist

izuku trains a lot and has to make his own food bc his mum just ignores him

he sneaks out at night to clear trash and sneaks back in before dawn to clean the sand from his hair

he smells like saltwater and rust, and he hasnt slept more than 4 hours a night in weeks and katsuki is worried

all might sees him crumbling with a smile stuck on his face and he wants to stop him from self-destructing, but the kid will never learn his lesson until he feels his body give up under what hes doing to it. if all might steps in he'll do it again and again until no one stops him and hes never learnt his limit.

so he waits and he watches while he pretends he cant see the bags under his eyes and pretends that everytime izuku sways on his feet he doesnt feel a jolt of deep panic

did he do this? if he the reason izuku looks like hes falling apart before his eyes?

the kid passes the fuck out and all might tells him off in a soft dad way and izuku cries bc why does this villain care more than his mum does

and all might catches the end of that little mumble, and feels terrible so he pretends he didnt hear and takes him for lunch

they go to a cafe and all might buys izuku the cutest slice of cake and a big ass bowl of katsudon and some fancy fucking tea and covers the kids eyes every time he tries to look at the prices

izuku looks at all might and asks

"are you buying me katsudon with crime money"

and all might looks sheepish and izuku giggles like an idiot and says "dont tell me ill feel bad!!!"

all might grins bc this kid is honestly the only reason he hasnt stabbed a pro hero in a few months bc hes so fucking sweet

he has to carry izuku half the way home bc the kid could barely lift his chopsticks and almost fell asleep in the booth after he finished eating

and allmight, skinny and kinda scary is giving his 15 year old a piggy back and someone says "you're such a good dad!" and he almost coughs up his last lung

izuku mumbles sleepily and hes has the biggest warm and fuzzy feeling and hes going to yell bc hes All Might the No. 1 Villain and this fucking kid is drooling on his sweater but he would die for him

some random stranger on the street commenting on how it was rly fortunate that izuku inherited his adorable smile from his father

all might, abt to burst into tears: whack

allmight is easily flustered even when hes killed a man

he comes home and inko isnt there so he has to like, wake up izuku to get him to open the door and he feels bad bc izuku is a Sleepy Man

izuku mumbles that he cant ever tell if shes at home or not because nothing changes and all might feels a wave of "wait my son isnt being parented enough"

so he makes izuku a cup of tea and tucks him into bed after he has a shower because izuku is His Son Now Inko

hes like

sitting in the living room reading the paper and he hears inko's car and hes like ",,, fuck it im walking out the front door im no coward"

she doesnt even notice and hes going to scream because does she have a brain

inko, spaced out, tired and terrible: oh is the tall man here for izuku :))) thats great :)))

all might is screaming bc"" do you get let weird men into see your tiny son>???? what the fuck???

all might would yeet her into the sun if he could but his boy needs an actual family member to make going to ua easier

inko is kinda mentally ill. she is depressed and often forgets she has izuku. like shes not always being terrible she just sometimes forget to do basic things

one time she locked izuku out of the house for 10 hours and he had to sleep next to the front door

one month she didnt buy any food so by the end of it he was starving and out of his own money and there was n o t h i n g in the house, but inko would go out to eat every night and lunch and not take her son

allmight is upset bc izuku didnt tell him but izuku is embarrassed. embarrassed that he was forgotten by his own mum, that he couldnt do anything to help her or himself and honestly mad he was so hungry all might noticed bc he didnt want to bug him

it was getting to the point that katsuki actually slipped some change into his bag with a candy bar

I really enjoyed the episodes and I really felt things during the third episode

But I feel kinda disappointed, the third episode was,,,,, really really short

And figuring out that the entire game just lead to telling Rachel the true or not as the final decision was kind of... a really big bummer, there wasnt really much to it, if i knew that these what the gmae was trying to lore me into, I’d feel like playing the game would be the waste of my time, understanding that my progress would be nearly as useless to come up with whats in the end.

I dont know, the end just left me empty, nothing to carry from, I didnt feel anything, I wasnt excited, wasnt sad, wasnt happy, wasnt intrigued or thrilled 

It felt like all the cut scene that came after the final decision could have been playable, but instead they just skipped a huge portion of what the game could have been and wrapped it in a video

I dont even feel like any of my inmportant relationships within all the characters in the game mattered in any way, the game didnt spesify them at the end

I was mean to my mom at the very first episode, and I dindt get to see how my relationship with my mom resulted at the end of the game, neither my relationship with David, the game in episode 3 tried to strike fear into me while making me to decide between taking his card or not, which i did allthough I really disliked him and didnt let him control me throughout the entire game, and I did keep the post card because i agreed to have a good relationship with david as long as hes willing to put effort into it, I didnt get to see him put his trust into me and I didnt get to see the result of my decision, it was just him engaging Chloe's mom, which im convinced it will be like that no matter what you choose

The only relationship between me and the characters that I got to see in the end scenes was Eliot, I dont even care about eliot! eliot meant nothing to the story or to me throughout the entire game, I didnt even recognize him at episode 3 and his only final approach to me was extremely toxic and god awful, why sohlud i care if he ripped a picture of me and himself?? why was it so important to skip everything else but the relationship between Eliot and Chloe??

The only minor relationship that isnt even with me that I was at least happy about is Ethan and the girl being friendly and happy together, which I was trying to help ethan to get in a better place throughout the game and prevent him from becoming a monster by giving him a happier life and someone to support him and help him

I feel like I could still help Rachel forgive her father after telling her the truth, but it just wasnt there 

the thing I was expecting about the ending the most was to link itself to the present of where the first Life Is Strage is occurring at 

The entire game i was like “no way they are not gonna make the final cutscene of Before The Storm about Chloe entering the school bathroom and being threatened by Ethan and getting shot, which was the most important highlight of how the original game started off, the biggest part of the game that determined the end of the original game

It doesnt tell why Rachel has gone missing from the city which I assume they will put it in the bonus episode “farewell”

it has so many plot holes and so many things that you did throughout the game that just meant nothing after all, Rachel wasnt even shown to get to see her mom which she was looking for the most

I thought the game was more about explaining how the storm formed, and not the adventures of Rachel seeking her mom who only got relevant in the third episode and gone away with a bitter to no potential to existing in there but to lead to choosing the relationship between Rachel and her father, James

The ending didint feel satisfying at all, it had nothing to it, I feel like being pulled by my hair and spitted in my mouth

Niether Damon gets what he deserves

Honestly, saying out all these stuff, the ending was just garbage

Im truly disappointed since the series are all about choice making, which all of your progress, all what you do in the game is to find out what happens in result to your actions, and its just nothing, there nothing there, its just nothing! you did all this, for nothing! why even be worried about your playthrough! 

I must admit that I did have a lot of fun playing the game and I could be playing the game non stop until I get a severe headache because it was interesting, but knowing that it was all for nothing, really ruins the experience, like eating your most dream like favorite food but instead just spitting it out after every bite

probably the worst part of it for me is that its in no way made a complete link to how the storm was formed, It;d be so much interesting if the entire game was about befriending with someone so perfect that they are the storm, that THey are the flauge, I felt like the entire game was trying to lead to the big twist that Rachel only manipulated you and created the catastrophic storm she caused, hell itd be cool if she had abilities like max, liek controlling the weather, and have her emotions control the atmosphere and causing the entire storm, making you realize that you helped that storm and put you through the shocking reveal

Its just so easy to make ends really great, im sure its extremely common for the basic human being to think through a great satisfying ending, if thats not true that I must be some kind of a super human, I feel like I could write the game myself and make it amazing 

I feel like no care or love or thought went into the last episode and the ending besides the very beginning

I just dont understand how people just give up so easily on things like that

I would understand if they just got tired at the very end of creating the game so they just didnt want to think through the ending anymore, but if you came up with the idea to create a sequal to a game, you probably must have thought of the biggest highlights and the shocking ending right before development

neither the symbol of the crow meant anything, I thought itd mean something since Chloe’s dad was explaining that the fire is attractive but the fire in its real form is jealous and it devours if you get close to it, and I thought the crow would be the symbol because crows are attracted to shiny things, which I assumed that Chloe is the crow in the story, and Rachel is the attractive fire that only at the end it destroys all

I dont want to assume it, But I seriously think I over heard my passengers speak on being raped. Its not a far trip at all, but i assume they were talking about it prior to getting in the car. But they get in, the first of the two ladies that are in the trip, finishes a story. But its a story of having nights were shes went out, and got blacked out drunk. Im already thrown off because Im more sober than I aint. But she continues. A story of being drunk, having to be carried on a mans shoulders cause she wanted to get into another club. Saying she woke up with bruises and her friends said she was “fighting a curb”. Even at one point of being black out, she was told that a cop approached her friend and asked if she was alright and couldnt get into clubs being that intoxicated and not being able to walk. And having to be took home and tucked in.

Now heres where things gets bizarre. The next girl begins her story. Begins with telling that shes had her experience with blacking out. But slips that she thinks she was drugged and the other girl thinks the same for herself. She runs on with a story that her friends did it to her. That they got her “fucked up”, blacked out to the point where she wasnt coherent of what was going on. To where her “friends” used her credit card and ran up a $500 dollar bill on a credit card of hers. Took her car and left her stranded, even as far as throwing her luggage out with her. Woke up with bruises and the thought that she was drugged cause couldnt remember any of it. At this point she says she at a airport and calling her parents that she had a crappy relationship with to save her. Back and fourths and being stranded without a clue of how to get out the situation. And at no expense her parents did get her out of it. Said that her “friend” was there the whole time and she knew the people they were with were sketchy but she was around them. According to her, she was drugged, beat, and I can only hope that the worst thing in mind didnt happen. But at many points on her trying to get through the airport and home, many people told her to get to hospital which she never did.

In my head, as fucked up as it is, I knew what kinda happened just with my upbringing. Basically her friend got to know her and behind her back probably hated that she probably never had a want that wasnt met. Of course sucks to assume, but these were white women that probably didnt come from homes where money was an issue. But the characters she was around more than likely did. So they probably used her for her money and the sketchy characters were probably in the other womans ear having her play the role til they could make that night happen, or even being the mastermind to it all. You dont get drugged in a house of friends without some inside job happening.. Of course thankfully shes alive and all good today. But what a story to overhear. These women were speaking on potentially being assaulted like it was a run of the mill thing.

Perhaps Im not aware of just how dark the human can be, or I just have such a respect and awareness for another human that I cant fathom hurting another or taking advantage when things can just happen if you let them fall in your lap.

Succubus

Which brings me to my next story which is a polar opposite. And that is 4 lustful women that couldnt just admit what they wanted. Which i find these cases very funny and this was actually a first that was an ego boost. So this trip takes place in Long Beach-Huntington Beach borderlines. Its some 80′s rock night so you can guess the crowd attending. All american lol. But anyways, I pull up and a group of women approach the car. This Blonde that ordered the ride and led the pack, She approached the car with this look in her eye that was filled with lust. I can only assume they dont see many young black males around those parts. (Im learning America isnt as intergrated as it preaches). So they all get in, greetings follow. And they start getting ditzy. But its a smooth ride, were Its ever so obvious the blonde is diggin me. Yet, As im learning, younger women dont express their wants or attraction while. As in my story with “The Cougar”, Im very aware that if a woman wants you, she will let you know. Lifes too short for all this thats happening in this ride. But anyways, so in the backseat are her friends, which Im assuming are the cockblocks and overseers of if their friends go home with anyone when they go out. But she kinda narrates the trip. And with this running need for a toothbrush to spend the night at her friends. Which brings up this conversation where the blonde states she has a toothbrush for her. To which we all have a laugh because it sounds rather bizarre that she just has toothbrushes to give out to guest. And then she ask me would I find it creepy if a woman had a toothbrush for me if I stayed over. Which kinda felt like a indirect way of asking me to stay over. But not being bluntly stated, no bite on my end. I tell her that yeah it could be weird but its all on context. To then this point her friend begins talking about she needs vitamin D and a facial mask of some sort. If you ask me, she meant some very sexual things. But once again, not bluntly stated - no bite. Even with the toothbrush conversation that same girl told that blonde, “dont sound like such a hoe”. Which reviewing the trip, its obvious that this is something that isnt out the normal of these chicks. Which among being a good ego boost. Kinda glad I didnt pursue anything thrown out there with any of them. Even more a nod of the right choice, the chicks went from plans on going home to another bar, which it was a little after 12am-ish then. So about a hour and change to drink before last call, or rather find someone with vitamin D and a face mask lol.

All-Americans

This is a very quick trip but a conversation on hindsight that makes me go “hmmm”. Anyways this is directly after the prior trip with the Succubus. And I pick up 3 white guys in Long Beach, like 2nd street where its nothing but bars and nightlife. Im aware of the area being at the beach with an ex near there. Which riding through, it kinda hit me that she probably spent times there for her experience of the nightlife which give her awareness of the beach there. But anyways im going to the pick up with “This Is America” playing. Obvious what that is, if youve ever watched the video or heard it. But I pick them up and its the greets. The guy that sits passenger is the only one talking. The other two or weirdly quiet or maybe offended because with the rate the first guy got in, I only got a introduction to him before they jumped in the back and it was probably a quick “whats up” or something. But anyways we hit the light to turn thats maybe 2 blocks away. So they notice a bar across the street and speak on how packed it is. Which i myself was wondering why this bar had a line to get in it when its many bars in the whole street that didnt. Part of me recognized it was a urban crowd, but it slipped out my mouth that I didnt understand why people wait that long to get in a bar. Which its approaching 12:30am and some of them wouldnt get in til 1am and then it leaves 30 minutes for that. Which the passengers say, “not worth it, right?”. To which I agree. Hindsight i feel he meant its dumb of urban folks to go to bars and wait around for that we just saw. So then he starts asking me am I from the area and i tell him Im from LA. Then he ask where in LA do i visit, bar wise. To which i tell him I just spend my time at home and working that job. To which he calls me a Iron Introvert and then he ask me this really urking question when I look back. “Do you read?”. I chuckled but in my mind im thinking, who the hell doesnt read. Or perhaps he wasnt used to people like me reading. To which he goes in on if ive ever heard of David Goggins. to which he calls a introvert that does crazy shit. amongst the accolades he preaches he tells me about his book. and I ask him whats it about. So he tells me about his growing up and he started with “he grew up in indiana and he was the only...”. Didnt finish the sentence, which i knew exactly what he was gonna say but I was gonna let him say it. So he explains first that his dad had a roller rink and was the first black man to start a business there or thriving business i suppose. Which he abused his son with a lot of beatings. But he becomes who he is and is the only black in the vicinity or that he spoke on. The guy was fascinated by him but kinda was a obvious observations that they dont run into many black folk in that side of the city. And dont truly understand the us, but what they read and see.
