Was haben diese beiden Songs gemeinsam? Die Musikrichtung jedenfalls nicht. ;) Habe gerade durch Zufall entdeckt, dass David Broza für sein Album Parking Completo von 2004 einen Song mit Mercedes Sosa aufgenommen hat. Da sie eine so tiefe Stimme besaß, dass es im Duett mit einem Mann schwierig wird, die beiden auseinanderzuhalten, fiel mir das Duo Nathalie Stutzmann / Philippe Jaroussky ein. Da ist es noch extremer; ich würde sogar sagen, dass er als Countertenor höher singt als sie als extrem tiefe Altistin.

 In February 2019 I I took a picture  a reunion show of two of the leading artists in Israeli culture, the singer David Broza and the poet Yonatan Geffen as part of the Winter Festival 2 at the Heichal HaTarbut. Jonathan Gefen passed away today, but the songs he wrote will accompany us forever

I don’t know about you, but I needed this meeting on a day like today. 

This is Moha Alshawamreh. He is from a village near Hebron. He is a Palestinian working in the Israeli tech industry, not something you see often. 

Turns out, he reached out a while ago on LinkedIn and apparently I was very responsive. We then set up a zoom to talk about his career. Mind you, I didn’t remember any of this, but we met today because he wanted to meet and say thank you. He told me that he was in a deep depression when he reached out and the fact that I replied and took time to speak really helped him. 

You never know how a simple act like replying to a LinkedIn message can really transform a life. 

He also wanted to say how sorry he is for what happened to Ari. He said “I know I can’t bring him back but I am so sorry for what a Palestinian did to your brother.”

Recently The New York Times published an article about his personal trajectory and difficult journey into the Israeli tech industry https://nytimes.com/2023/03/11/world/middleeast/palestinians-israel-tech-workers.html… 

At the age of 15, Moha read the book called “Man’s Search for Meaning,” by Viktor E. Frankl. Through this book, he learned for the first time about the Holocaust and the concentration camps. He told me that he also learned perseverance and resilience, which helped in his journey. 

Moha spent about 8 years in South East Asia (Malaysia, Korea, Japan) where he earned a BA in computer science and MA in behavioral economics on a full scholarship. He also learned to speak both Korean and Japanese. 

While in Korea, he learned about Israel and the startup nation and decided to come back, got an internship in an Israeli startup, then completed his MBA at Tel-Aviv University after a difficult year with the help of David Broza and others. 

After a long journey full of hardships, rejections, depression, and tears - he was able to get his first full-time job in Israeli tech. 

Honestly I went into this meeting blind. He asked to meet. I agreed. I had very little context. Boy am I glad I took the meeting. It was incredibly inspiring and fulfilling to hear his story. 

It kinda restored my faith in humanity.

Por cierto..la urbanización LA MORALEJA la fundó el padre de ANA OBREGON que era la novia de Fernando MARTIN o 1er español en NBA que se mató en la Avda de PAZ [M30] Al cruzar 8 carriles [le daría algún ataque] y estamparse con el MARIDO DE MILAGROS que acababa de dar A LUZ..y cuyo hijo murió de una enfermedad rara con 27 años como MARTIN..la VERDAD ES QUE ESTE REINO SATANICO ES MUY TRAGICO

No se si llamar a mi MANSION..TIERRA DE GRACIA en homenaje que este 2024 visite GRACELAND en MEMPHIS y al cd NUNCA TENDREMOS GRACELAND de Jaime ANGLADA [amigo de Felipe VI en MALLORCA] ..el 1ero tras salir de VIRGIN records al estar disconforme con la promoción al estar volcados con JARABE DE PALO [=CASTIGO]:

Tras ese largo parón de 5 años sin pisar un estudio de grabación, retorna al mismo con fuerza para sacar del tintero su tercer álbum bajo el título de Nunca Tendremos Graceland, editado por la discográfica local Blau, y producido por el mismo Jaime Anglada. En esta ocasión, Jaime nos regala 14 nuevos temas, con un aire un poco más acústico que sus dos anteriores, de las cuales hay que resaltar Mi Última Canción, Puerto de Santa María y Navegando Solo, tema que escribió cuatro años antes para David Broza y que el artista israelí graba en su disco Isla Mujeres=CANCUN [MEXICO]
