“I have to say, Freddie tends to have the image of being someone who’s like a diva and won’t compromise, but actually, Freddie was a wonderful force of coherence. If he was questioned in the interviews about being the leader of the band, he would always say, ‘No, I’m not the leader, I’m the lead singer, but we are a democracy.’
Brian May ♥️🎶

June 1974, Arlette House, 143 Wardour Street, Soho, London, UK
Classic photos of Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at the Arlette House building in London. At the time the band was recording ‘Sheer Heart Attack’ at Trident Studios located at 17 St Anne’s Court, around the corner Marquee Club at 90 Wardour Street.
These lovely photos were taken from Queen’s interview with the Japanese magazine ‘Music Life.’ Brian May was battling health issues at the time and that’s why he is missing from the pictures.
Once Brian recovered, he was able to join the boys and finish recording their third album, ‘Sheer Heart Attack’
The photos were taken by Watal Asanuma
