Sun: No! Nope!
Jaune: I'm taping a street magic special...wanna see some magic?
Neptune: No, you made fools out of us last time, no thank you!
Sun: Look, we were just out shopping all day. we just wanna go back into our apartment and relax so goodbye.
Jaune: Where'd you go shopping?
Sun: We went to an outlet store you probably wouldn't have heard of it.
Neptune: It's not trendy yet. Nobody knows about it.
Jaune: What did you buy?
Neptune: A green sweater big whoop.
Jaune: Interesting, are you sure you didn't buy a teddy bear?
Neptune: No, I'm pretty sure I *reaches into his shopping bag and pulls out a teddy bear*
Neptune/Sun: a Teddy bear!?
Jaune:
Sun: What the 'eff!?

(10pm) dunno but Desmond who accidently somehow became a magician when he didn't want to be one
I’m pretty sure you’re talking about real magic but this gave me the idea of a sleigh-of-hand type of magician for Desmond. He’d have the trickery and sleigh of hands of the Four Horsemen from Now You See Me and Penn & Teller. His training on the Farm made him more observant than normal so he could see the tricks that street magicians and illusionists use in their performance then he sees how people seem to like them so he tries to do them as well.
Before long, he’s getting noticed because he’s cute and very chill and, before Desmond knows what’s happening, he’s doing a magic show in some local bar.
He sees that he could make a few bucks if he keeps doing these gigs while having a part-time job.
Whether by chance or by fate, Desmond starts making a career out of his magic tricks and he gets more daring, adding more ‘Assassin’ like components in his performance.
A white hood to hide his identity, maybe even a mask his face so, in case one of his performances is recorded, his dad and the cult wouldn’t see him.
Observing the crowd to pick the best people to include in his tricks before and during his performance, honing his skills of cold and hot reading without even realizing it, which his mother had been teaching him to make it easier for him to blend in the crowds and find weak ‘points’.
Maybe one or two tricks that required more precision and hand-eye coordination that reminded him a bit of his daily physical training with the other children on the Farm.
Of course, he couldn’t use his real name, that would be foolish.
He needed a fake name, a fake identity.
And the name he went with?
David Blaine.
#how am i even going to tag this?#desmond as david blaine???#idk#i just thought it would be fun to think of desmond becoming an#illusionist and magician in the same vein as david blaine#with stunt performance ala houdini#he’ll still be a bartender though#this is just like…#his side gig#assassin's creed#desmond miles#teecup writes/has a plot#fic idea: assassin's creed

Houdini Hofzinser Houdin The founding fathers of modern magic. Each one made major impacts in culture and magical theatre. Before Hofzinser, magic was mostly performed on street corners, parks, high foot traffic areas. And then it all changed. Street magic is still performed. David Blaine brought back the awareness how magic can produce an organic experience “in the street”. This raw documentary style video series captures the best moments of their lives and how instrumental they were in the future of magic performance.
