1.Roger Taylor(Queen)
youtube
2.Thomas Lang
youtube
youtube
4.Neil Peart(Rush)
youtube
5.Steve Gadd, Vennie Colaiuta, Dave Weckle
youtube

!DEATH TO AVANT-GARDE!
A tribute from the Duke of the Beat to avant-garde music!
OUT ON  JUNE 10th
Tumblr media
The Avantgarde'Ghost is a bastardpop journey between the basslines of Jaco Pastorius, the mellow guitars of Jimi Hendrix with echoes of avant-garde music. Between samplings of Flea, Dave Weckl, Afro-Cuban music and the immense Bach, the ghost of avant-garde music lives again in the mind of VELVET TANK.

Chick Corea Elektric Band II – Paint The World (Album)
Chick Corea’s Elektric Band II found bassist John Patitucci, drummer Dave Weckl and guitarist Frank Gambale going out on their own and being replaced by Jimmy Earl, Gary Novak and Mike Miller. Saxophonist Eric Marienthal was the only sideman from the first Elektric Band to stick with Corea. Although the new members are not as distinctive as their predecessors, the high-quality material played on this release (which includes Jimmy Heath’s “CTA,” “Blue Miles” and a variety of Corea originals) is very jazz-oriented and occasionally there are straightahead sections. This set is recommended even to listeners who have not yet acquired a taste for fusion (Scott Yanow/AllMusic).
Bass – Jimmy Earl Drums – Gary Novak Guitar – Mike Miller Piano, Keyboards – Chick Corea Saxophone – Eric Marienthal
