While I am a Christian, I generally try to avoid talking about religion on a blog about entertainment. For this month though, I’m making an exception to the rule. I’ll be celebrating Christmas this year by making fun of some cheesy, yet mostly optimistic Christian movies. Remember the Goal: Directed by Dave Christiano. With Allee Sutton Hethcoat, Quinn Alexis, Sydney Marks, Jayla Palmer. A new female coach fresh out of college takes over the cross country program at an all girls private Christian school and tries to lead them to their first state title.

@natcaptor sent me this audio and said it was perfect for a Dave and Gamzee exchange. He was, in fact, correct.

Gamzee: “Okay!”

Dave Strider appears to the left of the image, blinking in concern. His sunglasses are shaded so his eyes are visible.

Dave: “What are you doing?”

The image returns to Dave and Gamzee. Dave looks blankly at the viewer, then looks back toward Gamzee. Gamzee continues to stare.

Dave: “Is he telling you to kill everyone?”

Gamzee: “Yeah.”

Dave glances back toward the viewer.

Dave: “No, that’s Satan. Hi, Satan.”

Lil Cal (deep, demonic voice): “Hi, boys.”

Dave’s eyes grow wide and his expression turns alarmed. Gamzee continues to stare, unaffected.

Gamzee: “Hi.”

Ray, have you seen any religious films that you've actually liked that was something other than Passion of the Christ or Prince of Egypt? :P

I mean like totally enjoyed it as a great film, or just really liked? Because Kirk Cameron stars in some of the truly worst movies ever and I like them because they are so bad. Like God’s Not Dead series, absolutely enjoy those. Are they good? No. But they are fun! 

Let’s see,  Crime of the Age (a 32-minute long Christian mystery drama from 1988 by Dave and Rich Christiano) is fantastic. 

Not technically Christian, but about missionaries in Japan: Silence by Martin Scorsese based on the fantastic book Silence by Endo Shusaku. Highly recommend the movie and book!

Uitslag na poule F

Poule F, de poule “des doods”. Bij nader inzien helaas ook de poule waaruit de volgende tegenstander van de Rode Duivels zal komen. Het werd uiteindelijk Portugal. Christiano speelt zondag hopelijk zijn laatste EK-match.

Wat gebeurde er op de laatste speeldag in poule F? Hier het overzicht:

Duitsland - Hongarije : 2-2

Duitsland - Hongarije leverde maar liefst vier doelpunten op. Propere keuze als goaltjesmatch van Jens, Tom B en Toon. Ze krijgen 8 punten extra.

Gündoğan en Müller kwamen opnieuw niet tot scoren. Bas en Bram P. blijven op 0 goaltjesdief punten.

Filip en Siebe zagen goaltjeskeeper Duitsland 2 doelpunten slikken. Helaas betekent dat ook 2 minpunten.

Over de matchprono kunnen we kort zijn. Enkel Thomas (1-1) wist een gelijkspel te voorspellen. Hij verdient 1 punt.

Portugal - Frankrijk : 2-2

Eveneens 4 doelpunten in deze goaltjesmatch van rode lantaarn Christoph C. De hoognodige 8 punten zullen welkom zijn.

Goaltjesdieven Ronaldo en Benzema wisten beiden tweemaal te scoren. Met Ronaldo zien Jens, Jente, Maurice, Michiel, Siebe, Sofie en Stijn N. hun topschutter al het vierde en vijfde doelpunt van het toernooi scoren (+4 punten). Hopelijk ook zijn laatste. Benzema scoorde zijn eerste twee doelpunten van het toernooi. Eveneens 4 extra punten voor Bart, Bjorn P., Christof, Geert, Jago, Lien en Sander. Mbappé staat nog steeds op nul, Griezmann op 1 doelpunt.

Frankrijk en Portugal slikten als goaltjeskeeper 2 tegendoelpunten. Dat betekent 2 minpunten voor Gert P., Kasper, Michiel, Tom V. (Frankrijk) en Jarno (Portugal).

In de matchprono werd het gelijkspel tussen Portugal en Duitsland wat vaker voorspeld dan in de match Duitsland - Hongarije. Dave, Jef, Jente, Lars, Lennert, Michiel, Pieter-Jan, Seppe, Siebe, Tom D. en Toon zaten alvast juist met het gelijkspel en halen 1 puntje binnen.

Christof, Christoph C., Geert, Gert P., Jago, Jan en Sofie voorspelden de 2-2 uitslag in deze poulefase helemaal correct en pakken de 3 punten mee.

Maar liefst 21 deelnemers noteerden de poule volledig correct en winnen het maximale aantal van 5 punten: Alex, An, Bart, Bram V., Bas, Christof, Christoph H., Dave, David, Gert G., Hans, Jeff, Jurgen, Kasper, Kim, Lien, Paul, Sander, Tom B., Tony en Yves.

28 deelnemers halen 2 punten binnen met 2 correct voorspelde plaatsen. Filip en Tom D. winnen 1 punt. Steven en Christoph C halen nul punten uit de poulestand.

Tussenstand

Jens springt dankzij zijn uitstekende goaltjesmatch over Jente naar de eerste plaats. Sander zal dan weer tevreden zijn met zijn keuze voor Benzema en  volledig correcte poulestand, hij stijgt naar plaats drie.

Ook Tom B. (19 naar 6) en Sofie (13 naar 7) doen uitstekende zaken en stijgen naar de top 10.

Toon (17 plaatsen, 29 naar 12), Geert (12 plaatsen, 27 naar 15), Christof (11 plaatsen, 46 naar 35), Jago (10 plaatsen, 44 naar 34) en Bart (10 plaatsen, 24 naar 14) zijn de andere sterke stijgers.

In de kelder van het klassement doet Christoph C. een goede zaak met zijn goaltjesmatch en een perfecte matchprono. Hij staat de laatste plaats af aan Steven.

Sabemos que as mulheres, cada vez mais nos dias atuais, ocupam espaços no mercado de trabalho, assim como em diversas áreas. Seja em qualquer área, teremos a presença marcante das mulheres. Na matéria de hoje vamos falar de uma das melhores bateristas do Brasil, Bruna Barone, que atendeu super bem, a nossa equipe de Redação do Portal Sou de Sergipe.

Bruna teve contato com a música muito cedo onde com apenas 6 anos de idade, já recebia suas primeiras aulas de piano. No entanto, o interesse pela bateria, sempre trazia um desejo enorme de aprender esse instrumento tão fascinante.

Aos 14 anos, começou a estudar bateria com Giba Favery no IP&T (Instituto de Percussão e Tecnologia), onde se formou 2010. Durante esse período ainda no IP&T, estudou com Christiano Rocha por mais três anos.

Com o objetivo de aprender bateria, Bruna ainda estudou ritmos brasileiros com a competentissima Baterista Vera Figueiredo, no IBVF (Instituto de Bateria Vera Figueiredo), por um período de cinco anos. Ainda fez aulas particulares com Pascoal Meirelles, Ramon Montagner, Kiko Freitas e retomou os estudos de piano com Debora Gurgel.

Convidada por Vera Figueiredo, apresentou-se na 13ª edição do Batuka! Brasil International Drum Fest.

Ainda participou de três edições do Brasil Tap Festival, acompanhando grandes nomes do sapateado nacional e internacional

Nos Estados Unidos da América

Nos EUA participou, em Cleveland, do Drum Fantasy Camp, assistindo aulas e masterclasses com Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Tommy Igoe, Thomas Lang e Jojo Mayer, Antonio Sanchez, Virgil Donato e Mark Guiliana, e na cidade de Boston, participou do Berklee Percussion Festival.

No Brasil

Nos últimos anos, vem trabalhando no teatro musical onde foi baterista titular dos espetáculos Chaplin – o musical, Cantando na Chuva, Raia 30 – o musical, Crazy For You e Cabaret, todos produzidos pela atriz Claudia Raia.

Participou tocando em Ayrton Senna – o musical, O Mágico de Óz, Rock in Rio – o musical e Cabaret Luxúria.

Atualmente na área da didática, ministra aulas particulares de bateria em seu estúdio em São Paulo. Foi professora no institutos onde estudou (IBVF e IP&T) e fez parte coluna de estudos da revista Modern Drummer Brasil. Bruna também atua como feelancer se apresentando em diversos eventos acompanhando outros artistas.
