∘°∘♡∘° Yes, absolutely. I love requests! Send as many as you want! ♡
✧˖*°࿐*✧.┊Being the daughter of Aphrodite, you were no stranger to love and affection. Percy, on the other hand, wasn't used to this but was never one to shy away from your constant doting. He found your love a bit overwhelming at times, but adorable and sweet nonetheless. And even if it made him blush, he couldn't help but think he was the luckiest guy alive to have you looking at him the way you did. ✧. ┊
ʚ percy jackson x aphrodite!reader ɞ
You were sitting on a grassy patch just outside of camp, your back resting against a tree as Percy sprawled out beside you. The soft breeze ruffled his hair, and you couldn’t help but stare at him, your heart fluttering in your chest.
He was talking, probably about something important—he always did—but you barely registered the words. Instead, you were far too focused on the way the sun highlighted the curve of his jaw, the softness of his lips, and the playful gleam in his eyes. Every time he looked at you, you swore you were going to melt into a puddle.
You twirled a lock of your hair around your finger, smiling dreamily as you gazed at his face, unable to tear your eyes away from how absolutely perfect he looked. You let out a soft giggle, completely lost in how cute he was.
Percy noticed the giggle and stopped mid-sentence, furrowing his brow as he leaned up slightly to look at you. “What’s so funny?” he asked, though his tone was full of amusement. “Did I say something funny?”
You shook your head, still smiling like you were in a daze. “No, no,” you said, your voice soft, almost breathless. “I’m just thinking about how cute you are.”
Percy blinked, caught off guard by your words. He sat up a little straighter, the confused look on his face quickly replaced by a teasing smile. “What? You can’t stop staring at me now kid?”
You shrugged nonchalantly, your gaze never leaving him. “I just like looking at your face,” you admitted with a shy giggle. “It’s really nice.”
Percy’s smile softened, and he let out a quiet laugh, trying to suppress the sudden warmth spreading through him. “You’re making me self-conscious, you know that?”
But you were already too busy to pay attention to what he said. You reached out, gently brushing his hair out of his eyes, your fingers lingering against his soft skin. You adored the way his hair always seemed to get just a little messy, no matter what he did, and how his eyes seemed to sparkle even in the softest of lights.
You found yourself inching closer to him, still admiring his features. “You have the most perfect face, Percy,” you whispered, your voice practically reverent, the words slipping out before you could stop them. You tilted your head, completely mesmerized by him. “Like... how are you real?”
Percy blinked in surprise, but there was a fond smile tugging at his lips. “I’m pretty sure you’ve told me that like a hundred times already,” he teased, though his heart was beating just a little faster at how genuinely affectionate you were being.
But you were already too busy again. You leaned in, placing a soft kiss on his cheek, and then on his other cheek, and his forehead, planting gentle, lingering kisses all over his face.
Percy froze for a second, his cheeks going slightly pink. “Hey, hey, easy there sweetheart,” he chuckled, trying to pull away just a little. “You're making me blush.”
You didn’t stop, though. You continued dotting kisses across his face, your lips soft and sweet against his skin. A giggle slipped from you between each kiss, and Percy could barely hold back the flustered smile that threatened to break free.
“You’re so cute,” you murmured with a giggle, kissing the tip of his nose. “I just can't help myself.”
He gently pulled back, trying to stop the onslaught of your kisses, but you weren’t having it. “Y/N,” Percy said, his voice a little breathless from the sweetness of it all. “You really need to stop... I—I can't think straight when you do this."
You smiled up at him, your eyes sparkling with mischief and affection, and you held his face in your hands and leaned in for one last kiss, this time a soft peck on his lips. “Aww, but you’re so cute,” you teased playfully.
Percy let out a quiet laugh, now fully flushed, as he covered his face with his hand. “You’re lucky I like you so much,” he muttered under his breath.
“I know,” you said softly, resting your head against his shoulder, still feeling the warmth of his skin beneath your lips as you gazed at him, content to simply be in his presence. “I’m pretty lucky, too.”
Percy sighed in a mock exasperated tone, but there was affection in his eyes. He couldn’t help it—he loved the attention. Even if you were making him the blushing, flustered mess that he was, he was totally okay with it. Because, as much as you adored him, it was pretty clear—he was the lucky one.

what if reader was a daughter of Aphrodite?
assuming thi is about pjo/hoo! also going out on a limb and assuming it's abou Leo. (I need to bffr of course it's Leo he's 90% of what I write-) If I am wrong in any of these assumptions feel free to shoot me another ask with whatever deets you'd like!!
When Leo finds out you're a daughter of Aphrodite, he's not even surprised. if it were a bet he would have made a lot of money on Aphrodite being your mom. like a lot. you know that bit from adventure time where Jake is all "whatever you want mamaaaaa". That's Leo. That's 1000% Leo. Everything about you is hypnotic. He starts to realize that he like... can't find other girls attractive anymore. you so fundimentally take the cake that no one else can even think about holding a candle to you. You make him dizzy, scrable his brain and cruh any semblance of non simping logical thought like a grape between your pretty, manicured nails. You're shocked to find out that he doesn't think you're attractive cause of your looks. Well, not JUST cause of your looks. Leo fell in love with the way you talk, passionately arguing for points you believe in. He fell in love with the way you smell when you've been laying out in the sunshine, the little giggle you do when you're trying to hold back a laugh in the middle of telling a story. He fell for the weird faces you make when you do your makeup, especially your mascara. he fell in love with how your hands felt on his when you taught him how to do the back of your hair. he fell for how you always know when he needs a redbull, the weird positions you sleep in, the zoned out little stare you make when you're trying to pretend you're not tired, even though you're exhausted. Leo loves all of you. If you ask him, each and every trait and aspect, inside and out, must have been hand crafted by Aphrodite herself. There's no way someone as perfect as you could exist otherwise.

hii :) im so happy your requests are open again, i love your writing and your blog is one of my favorites. could you write something where daughter of aphrodite!reader is in love/have a crush on a son of ares but doesn’t act on it because she’s afraid of being rejected, so piper plans something with the other aphrodite kids to make them be together? if not, that’s okay! anyway, thank you for your time <3
thank you for being so patient, you're so sweet!!
----------------------------------------
"Okay, you have to tell him."
I whined as Piper pushed me over on my bunk so she could comfortably sit with me.
"I don't have to tell anyone anything, Pipes, I'm a free woman!" I protested, picking at my nails. "Not that there's something to tell anyone anyway."
Piper barked a laugh. "You are literally in the Aphrodite cabin, you know damn well we all know who you're mooning over."
Ugh, she had a point.
"Doesn't matter, he probably doesn't like me anyway." I sighed. "Gods, he's so cute."
Piper took my hand, squeezing it. "You gave in so easily, but that's okay because now we can help!"
I frowned, alarmed at the 'we' in that sentence. "...I'm sorry, help?"
"Yep!" She stood, dragging me with her. "Let's go."
I was unceremoniously pulled from the cabin and led to the arena where most of the Aphrodite cabin were practicing. Stereotypes be damned, we were gorgeous and dangerous.
"Hey! C'mere!" Piper yelled. About a dozen heads whipped round, recognising the voice of their cabin leader, hefting weapons over their shoulders and making their way over.
"Uh oh," Lacy grinned at me cowering behind Piper. "She finally admitted it?"
I rolled my eyes but Mitchell swept me up in a hug. "Our baby sister, so grown up!"
I smacked his arm. "Put me down, asshole, I'm not that much younger than you! And I haven't actually admitted shit, so."
"Nope, she called him cute, that's all we need." Piper turned to me. "Unless you truly, truly don't want our help, we will back off if you say so, you know that, right?"
My heart warmed at the genuine tone in her voice- the second I was honestly uncomfortable, she would back down. Unfortunately for me, I desperately wanted help.
"I know, Pipes, but I also know that this family lives for drama, so..."
Mitchell squealed. "Oh my gods, we get to set them up!" He kissed my forehead and latched onto my arm. "Thank you thank you thank you!"
I rolled my eyes but squeezed his arm. Piper cleared her throat.
"Okay, cabin meeting in 20 minutes, put everything away, shower, go."
Everyone split, and Piper and I headed back to the cabin.
Almost exactly 20 minutes later, my siblings were sat on bunks and on the floor facing a whiteboard on the wall. My name and his name were written at the top.
"Alright people," Piper began. "Any ideas?"
"They could get paired up for sparring?" Someone suggested. "She could show her prowess with a weapon, he'll be impressed, bam, he's in love."
Piper considered it. "Interesting, okay, I'll write it down."
I cringed internally. Up and close fighting wasn't really my thing, I was better with long-ranged stuff, but it would be mean to cut down the first idea.
"Ooo!" Lacy raised her hand. "The Ares cabin get really competitive, right? What if we beat them at capture the flag?"
There was a moment of silence. Piper swallowed. "That's a good idea, except it could have the exact opposite effect." Lacy took a second to think, and realised the issue.
A few more ideas were thrown out, Piper looking to me for any ideas that caught my attention. I shook my head slightly at each one, laughing a little at the increasingly elaborate plans my siblings were coming up with. When the last suggestion involved ropes and pulleys and the Hephaestus cabin, I had to put a stop to it.
"Okay, okay, we're getting a little ridiculous, don't you think?"
There was a mix of agreements and protestations but Piper held up a hand. "She's right, and I have a much simpler plan." She turned to me. "If you'd be open to it."
I was hesitant, but nodded. "What is it?"
Piper shrugged. "You go say hi."
I blinked, muscles locked. "...I'm sorry, you want me to what?"
She laughed. "You go say hi to him, wherever he is, start a conversation, maybe ask him out."
Mitchell squeaked. "Absolutely not, that's so boring!"
Lacy elbowed him. "It's old-fashioned, it's cute, and it doesn't involve twelve other people."
"And, most importantly," Piper sat down in front of me. "It's brave. It's a guaranteed way to earn his respect- you're worried that he won't like you, right?" I nodded. "So if you go up to him despite that fear, isn't that a brave thing to do?"
I sighed. "I don't know, Pipes, what if he's actually a jerk and I've just seen him pretending to be sweet and kind and everything?"
"Then you'll know you've dodged a bullet."
Damn. Good point.
One of the older girls piped up. "And hey, I used to have a crush on one of the Ares kids, I said that I liked her, she said she didn't feel the same but appreciated it, and she's been lovely to me- who's to say that won't happen again?"
"And," Piper said, taking my hands in hers. "If he's a dick, we'll make his life a living hell, m'kay?"
I laughed, breathing deeply. "Yeah, yeah, okay." I stood up, everyone following suit. "You're gonna be nearby, right?"
There was a chorus of 'of course!' and 'well obviously, we wouldn't miss it'. There was a quick check of the rota to see where the Ares cabin would be, and I walked out the Aphrodite cabin, followed one by one by my siblings doing a terrible job of being nonchalant.
The archery range was loud and boisterous, with Ares kids being repeatedly corralled from poking each other with arrows. He stood near the end, laughing hard at something his sister said. Gods above, he was so cute.
I swallowed hard, eyes flicking to where Piper had stationed herself against a tree. She gave me a thumbs up and I stepped forward.
"Um, hi?" I walked into his line of sight, hand raised slightly.
He locked eyes with me, a grin spreading across his face. "Hey, what's up?"
I smiled back. Brave, I'm brave, Ares respects bravery. "Can I talk to you for a sec?"
His sister smacked him with a wide grin and he hit her back harder. "Sure." He dropped his quiver and bow on the floor and followed my lead to a little way into the forest. There was some teasing shouts from his siblings and he gave them the middle finger without even looking.
"So," He said, once I'd stopped. His hands were shoved into his pockets. "What's up?"
Let's just rip off the bandage, brave, I'm so brave, come on.
"I think you're really cute and I really like you." My eyes were squeezed shut and I could feel how much blood was in my face.
There was quiet for a moment. I cracked an eye and looked at him. Was he... blushing? And... smiling? I opened my eyes fully, relaxing a little.
He coughed. "Uh, that's, like, really cool, so cool, um-" He buried his face in his hands and I nearly melted at how adorable that was. "So, um, I've been wanting to ask you out for, like, weeks?"
WEEKS?!
I sputtered. "W-what? Weeks? Why didn't- why did you wait for me to do it first??" I poked at his arm. "I was so worried you'd hate me!"
He peaked at me through his fingers. "Well, you're, like, so gorgeous and smart and I fully believe you're capable of, like, kicking my ass if I got it wrong?"
Gently, I pulled his hands away from his face. "Okay, very sweet that you think I'm dangerous, but are you actually going to ask me out now?" Wow, I was a lot more confident once he'd said he liked me.
He laughed. "Yeah, totally, um, hey, do you want to go out with me? Like, on dates and stuff, I'll work shit out, just... turn up, I guess?"
I grinned. "Yeah, I can do that, absolutely."
"Sweet." He paused, suddenly went really red, darted forward and pressed a quick kiss to my cheek before sprinting away. I stood, stunned, before bursting into laughter. There were hollering yells from where the Ares siblings were, and I was swarmed by Aphrodite kids cheering for me.
Piper slung her arm around my shoulders. "Atta girl, you got him!"
I grinned, all the confidence that I'd lost flooding my system. "Oh, I think I have that boy wrapped around my finger."

luke x princess!reader
cw: alcohol consumption, tipsy kissing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok, fine, you could admit it.
you were jealous.
and you knew there was so reason to be. you and luke were friends, best friends, but still just friends.
so why did it bother you so much to see him talking to another girl?
the weird part is that this wasn't even the first time. you had seen luke flirt with tons of the girls here at camp, it wasn't new.
but for some reason, this time it made your blood boil.
luke was sitting by the campfire next to grace mcormick from athena cabin. stupid grace, you thought, except you knew she wasn't stupid. in fact, she was really smart, and pretty, and good with a sword. and shes annabeths sister, which already gave her a one up on you. because as much as you and annabeth were close, you weren't her actual sister, not like grace was.
and its not like you were insecure. not to brag, but you didn't really have much to be insecure about. you were a daughter of aphrodite (which guaranteed beauty and grace), you were pretty popular, and you were well trained with your own dagger. and it also wasn't like you got no male attention, you definitely got some.
so why did it bother you so much?
grace threw her stupid head back as she laughed at one of his stupid jokes, and you felt anger boil inside your chest. so what, hes making other girls laugh now?
you knew you were being irrational, and it was probably due to the red cup with some sort of alcoholic beverage in it, but you couldn't help it.
you knew luke was allowed to flirt, to kiss, to do whatever with whoever. but it didn't stop what you were all the sudden feeling.
jealously. red, hot, angry jealously.
"you good?" the voice of a child of ares, aaron, snaps you out of your envious trance as you sigh, taking another drink.
"fine," you mumble, turning to him. he has a confident smile on his face, his eyes flickering from the scene at the campfire back to your face.
he chuckles, "really? then why are you staring at them like you want to kill 'em?"
you sigh and cover your face with your free hand in embarrassment. "you saw that?"
he laughs again. "yeah, i saw that. but dont worry, dont think anyone else saw," you sigh in relief, "but, i mean, i only really noticed 'cause i was looking at you, so..."
oh. hes flirting.
you tilt your head at him, as if considering him. you could admit that he was attractive. he had brown hair and brown eyes, and he had a muscular build (which is expected of children of ares). from what you had seen, he was pretty funny, and confident - all of which you were attracted to.
but, you truly couldn't help it as a little voice nagged in the back of your mind - he isn't luke.
sensing you weren't going to say anything, aaron nodded his head towards the campfire. "so, whats goin' on with that? you n'luke".
you take a sip of your drink, shrugging, looking in that direction for a moment. "we're friends, i guess," you reply distractedly.
aaron hums. "so, he wouldn't mind that m'talkin' to you, right?"
you let out a giggle, though it feels forced. "no, of course not."
you don't let yourself look back at luke again, and instead try and focus on adrian - or was it aaron? you couldn't exactly remember, but you were conversing with him, and it wasn't unpleasant.
he was pretty nice, and easy to talk to you. he even made you laugh a few times. so when he suggested that the two of you get out of there, you decided to accept his offer.
he led you to a tree away from the gathering, and before you knew it, the two of you were kissing. alex-sorry, aaron, was going all in, tongue and all, and whilst you tried to get into it - you just couldn't. you remember luke at the campfire with grace, and you wondered if they had snuck away to do the same thing you were, and instead of your previous anger, you felt your heart ache with sadness. you didn't want luke to be kissing other girls, you wanted to be the only one. with that realization your eyelashes fluttered open and your eyes became glassy, so you pushed aaron off.
he looked at you confused, and maybe a bit annoyed. "what? what happened."
you felt guilt stir in your stomach. "i-im so sorry, i just cant." you begin running away, feeling not only sad, but embarrassed and confused.
eventually, you run into someone, and you look up to see luke.
"hey, i was just look- why are you crying?" he asks, interrupting himself.
you cover you face as a sob wracks your body. "im fine."
his hands grab your shoulders. "ok, your obviously not fine. just tell me."
you shake your head and remove your hands from your eyes. "nothing, i just feel stupid." you say quietly, wiping mascara stained tears off your cheeks.
luke sighs and looks around, realizing that there are other people around, so he takes you away from the crowd and into one of the empty cabins.
he closes the door behind him and looks are you expectantly. "does this have something to do with that ares kid you walked off with?"
you snap your head towards him with a confused expression. "what? no - well, kinda but, no," you groan and sit on a bed, "no, anthony - i mean, aaron, he was nice."
luke raised his brows at you. "you dont even know this kids name?" he asks, sounding critical. "and nice isn't really a characteristic of an ares kid, princess. besides, i know the kid, and hes a dick." he explains, crossing his arms.
you narrow your brows as you look up at him. "well, he was nice to me." you didnt know why you were acting like that. you had barely talked to the guy, and you trusted what luke was saying. maybe you wanted to make him jealous, the way he did.
he scoffs. "yeah, and that explains why your crying." he purses his lips, and takes a deep breath. you could tell he felt a little bad for being direct with you, so his expression softened up. "you should just stay away from him."
you let out a huff of indignation, standing up. "i wasnt crying because of him, ok, i was just frustrated," you explain, crossing your own arms, "and since when do you tell me what to do? i can make my own choices, y'know."
he sighs, running his hands down his face. "look, im sorry it came off like that, im just trying to protect you. your my best friend, obviously i care about you."
you scoff. "oh really? didnt look that way when you were basically drooling at grace all night."
luke steps back and raises his brows at you, his expression of mild frustration relaxing.
as if realizing how your words came across, you fold your lips inwards and look away.
"you're jealous," luke states. it wasnt a question, and he wasnt leaving room for debate. it was a fact. you were jealous.
"no," you splutter, backtracking. "of course not."
a smug smile makes its way to his features. "yes, you are. you're jealous."
more tears come into your eyes. he thinks its funny? "get over yourself luke, gods," you cross your arms and turn your head. "im glad its amusing to you," you sniff, before walking towards the door.
he grabs your wrist to pull you back. "no, no, thats not how i meant it. i-," he laughs a little, "gods, im sorry, princess, its not funny. its just...the whole reason i was even talking to grace was because i wanted to make you jealous." your eyes widen in realization, and you're left speechless.
"a-and i know how stupid that is, and i didnt think it would go this far but...i dont know, im sorry, princess, really."
its silent for a moment before you look up at him. hes looking down at you with so much affection, and admiration, that you cant help yourself but raise on your tippy toes and place a gentle kiss on his lips.
lukes hands immediately grabbed your waist and pulled you closer, and yours cupped his sharp jaw. your lips moved harmoniously against each other, and something about it felt just so right. after a few long seconds, you pull away and look up at him, your lashes fluttering.
you giggle then bite your lip. "gods, im a idiot." you mumble.
he chuckles. "no your not. i am. i should've just...i dont know, not tried to make you jealous."
you giggle. "well, now you know."
and without a single complaint, you and luke spent the rest of the night kissing in the empty cabin, whispering new promises to each other - including to never make the other jealous ever again.

pretty when you cry, clarisse la rue
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: based on this post by @kitten-reader
warnings: aphrodite’s kids are pricks lol, erm its really bad…
wc: 2.8k
your hair was something that you prided yourself on.
it was no doubt that you were beautiful beyond comparison to your fellow demigods, what with being the daughter of aphrodite. people couldn’t even compare you to your godly siblings.
you believed that your hair was the reason that your beauty was so great, so you natural worked hard on it.
in the world of olympians, you found solace and pride in the strands of hair that cascaded down your shoulders like a cascade of silk. your hair, a manifestation of your divine heritage, was more than just a physical attribute— it was a symbol of your identity and a testament to the grace and allure that came with being the offspring of the goddess of love.
from the moment you discovered your parentage, you embraced the inherent charm that ran through your veins, and it manifested prominently in your hair. unlike the messy, unpredictable tresses of some demigods, yours seemed to have a life of its own, obeying your whims and desires with a luxurious sheen that captivated those around you.
the secret, as you often shared with your fellow campers at camp half-blood, lay in the meticulous care you bestowed upon your locks. your morning routine became a sacred ritual— a blend of enchanted hair care products and divine techniques passed down through generations of aphrodite's children. a symphony of sweet-scented potions and ethereal brushes transformed the routine into a dance of beauty, each stroke accentuating the natural glamour that radiated from your hair.
you revelled in the attention your hair garnered, the way it shimmered under the sunlight as if kissed by the gods themselves. it became a beacon of confidence, a tangible manifestation of your divine heritage that set you apart from the sea of demigods at the camp. the other campers often marvelled at your ability to maintain such perfection, unaware of the divine secrets woven into every strand.
however, your relationship with your hair wasn't purely superficial. it served as a connection to your mother, a link to the goddess whose legacy you carried. the act of caring for it became a ritual that grounded you, a reminder of the divine blood that coursed through your veins and the responsibilities that came with it.
not unbeknownst to you, the envy and resentment simmered beneath the surface of the camp. the adoration and attention that accompanied your divine beauty fuelled the flames of jealousy among your fellow aphrodite siblings. little did you realise, being the favourite child of the goddess of love came at a cost, and that cost was the disdain of your own kin.
as you moved through the camp with the grace of a deity, your radiant hair attracting attention like a beacon, you, though aware of the hostile whispers that followed in your wake, chose to ignore. the other children of aphrodite, who were accustomed to being the centre of attention, couldn't fathom the idea of sharing the spotlight with someone they perceived as the golden child.
the jealousy manifested in subtle acts of exclusion and passive-aggressive remarks. your attempts to connect with your half-siblings often met with cold shoulders and thinly veiled animosity. the communal vanity table, where aphrodite's children traditionally gathered, became a battlefield of unspoken rivalry as they vied for the elusive title of the most captivating demigod.
yet, you, in your innocence, continued to extend kindness and friendship to those around you, oblivious to the resentment building in the hearts of your fellow campers. the intricate braids and enchanting hairstyles you generously offered to create for others only fuelled their frustration, as they struggled to reconcile the warmth of your gestures with the envy burning within them.
within the intricate dynamics of camp half-blood, one particular relationship defied expectations and unfolded with a complexity that left others bewildered. clarisse la rue, known for her brusque demeanour and a reputation that preceded her, stood as an unexpected confidante in your life. despite her gruff exterior and the scathing remarks she directed towards most campers, clarisse treated you with an unusual gentleness, and a unique bond formed between you two.
it all began during a chance encounter near the armoury, where clarisse, with her characteristic scowl, found herself inexplicably drawn to you. to the surprise of everyone witnessing the scene, her rough hands delicately traced the contours of your locks, as if handling a precious artefact. the camp's collective gasp echoed through the air, and it was then that an unspoken connection began to weave itself between you and the formidable daughter of ares.
clarisse, who seldom allowed others into her personal space, not only tolerated but seemed to relish the moments spent running her fingers through your hair. your shared interactions defied the logic of the camp's social hierarchy, leaving fellow demigods perplexed and intrigued by the peculiar alliance that had blossomed between you two.
as your friendship with clarisse deepened, it became apparent that her seemingly abrasive exterior masked a vulnerability that few had the privilege to witness. she confided in you about the weight of expectations placed upon her shoulders as the daughter of ares, the god of war. your hair, with its calming allure, became an unexpected refuge for her, a sanctuary where she could momentarily escape the demands of her tumultuous life.
in the quiet moments shared between you and clarisse, amidst the backdrop of a camp constantly on guard against mythical threats, an unexpected emotion began to stir— love. the kind of love that transcended the lines drawn by parentage and reputations. it was a love born out of understanding, acceptance, and the shared vulnerability that only the tumultuous world of demigods could evoke.
the camp, initially taken aback by the unlikely friendship, eventually came to accept the profound connection that had blossomed between you and clarisse. the daughter of ares, who once stood as an enigma wrapped in hostility, softened in the presence of your divine beauty and the solace found within the cascade of your hair.
as your feelings for each other deepened, the two of you navigated the complexities of love in a world fraught with danger. clarisse's protective instincts, honed on the battlefield, as well as in camp. together, you became an unlikely force, a symbol of love's ability to bridge even the most unexpected divides.
there was a time when a group of your own siblings, fuelled by jealousy and resentment, conspired to disrupt the tranquil rhythm of your bonds with your mother and girlfriend. one day, your prized possession, a hairbrush gifted by your mother, disappeared from its usual place. panic set in as you scoured the cabin, realising that this wasn't just a casual prank— someone had deliberately taken something sacred to you.
as whispers of the stolen hairbrush circulated through the cabin, the undercurrents of jealousy among your siblings bubbled to the surface. the mischievous culprits revelled in their act of sabotage, convinced that stripping you of this cherished item would somehow diminish the radiance that surrounded you.
it didn't take long for clarisse to sense your distress. the unspoken bond between you two had woven itself into a tapestry of mutual understanding, and she recognised the significance of the pilfered hairbrush. determined to right the wrong, clarisse took it upon herself to investigate the matter.
she confronted your siblings with an intensity that left them quaking in their sandals. her stern gaze bore into their guilt-ridden souls, extracting the truth like a seasoned interrogator. clarisse's usually thunderous voice carried a solemn edge as she demanded the return of the stolen hairbrush and an apology befitting the gravity of their actions.
unbeknownst to the misguided thieves, clarisse's reputation for ferocity on the battlefield extended to her protective instincts off it. the very fear she instilled in her enemies on the front lines was now directed at those who dared to threaten the tranquility of your connection.
under the weight of clarisse's unwavering determination, the guilty siblings caved. they returned the stolen hairbrush with bowed heads, offering apologies that bordered on genuine remorse. clarisse, satisfied with the swift resolution, ensured that justice prevailed, safeguarding the sanctity of the connection between you and the divine gift bestowed upon you by aphrodite.
as the stolen hairbrush was returned to its rightful place, the bond between you and clarisse strengthened. the trials you faced together only deepened the roots of your connection, intertwining your destinies in a tale of love, loyalty, and the unyielding power of shared vulnerability. in the heart of camp half-blood, where demigods navigated the tumultuous waters of existence, your story became a testament to the resilience of love against the currents of jealousy and deceit.
-
the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a fiery glow over camp half-blood, as clarisse la rue realised she hadn't seen you all day. a sense of unease settled in her chest, an unfamiliar concern that compelled her to seek you out. with each passing moment, her worry deepened, driven by a gut feeling that something was amiss.
clarisse traversed the familiar paths of the camp, her eyes scanning the bustling activity for a glimpse of your familiar figure. the ares cabin loomed in the distance, and a knot tightened in her stomach as she approached, not spotting you among the demigods sparring and training.
finally reaching the ares cabin, clarisse's unease morphed into genuine concern. where were you? why hadn't she seen you all day? the questions echoed in her mind, and she briskly entered the cabin, determined to uncover the mystery behind your absence.
there, in the dimly lit interior, she found you sitting on the edge of her bunk, your figure shrouded by a hood and a hat pulled low over your tearful eyes. the sight sent a ripple of worry through clarisse, and she rushed to your side, her gruff demeanour momentarily replaced by a genuine sense of care.
"hey, what happened?" clarisse asked, her voice softer than usual as she placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. your tear-streaked face turned towards her, and the anguish in your eyes tugged at her heart.
"they took it away," you whispered, your voice choked with emotion. you repeated the words, a mantra of despair, and clarisse struggled to comprehend the source of your pain. "they took it away."
clarisse's brow furrowed, her eyes searching yours for an explanation. "took what away? what happened?"
with trembling hands, you reached up and pulled off the hood, revealing a mess of uneven strands that once cascaded in silky splendour. clarisse's eyes widened in realisation, her hand instinctively reaching to touch the shortened locks. the betrayal etched on your face told the story before you uttered a single word.
"they cut it," you sobbed, burying your face in clarisse's shoulder. "they cut it, clarisse. look at it, it's gone. all gone."
comprehension dawned on clarisse as she gently ran her fingers through the uneven strands. anger surged within her, a protective instinct for the one she cared about more than she ever thought possible. "who did this?" she growled, her gaze ablaze with fury.
you shook your head, unable to articulate the betrayal and cruelty that led to this moment. clarisse, however, needed no words. she wrapped her arms around you, pulling you into a comforting embrace as she vowed to make those responsible pay for the pain they inflicted.
in the sanctuary of the ares cabin, amid the echoes of your tearful revelation, clarisse became a pillar of strength, ready to stand by your side and face whatever challenges lay ahead. love, in its purest and most protective form, ignited within her, as the daughter of ares transformed into a fierce guardian of the broken and betrayed.
the night hung heavy with an air of tension as you cried yourself to sleep in clarisse's bed, the echoes of betrayal haunting your dreams. clarisse, ever the guardian, sat silently beside you, watching over your restless slumber. the flickering candlelight cast shadows on the determination etched into her face, fuelled by a fierce protectiveness that refused to be extinguished.
as your sobs eventually subsided into the quiet rhythm of sleep, clarisse rose from the bedside with a silent determination. in the dim light of the cabin, she retrieved her spear, its blade glinting with a subtle menace. the daughter of ares, had one mission— avenge you.
the night enveloped camp half-blood in a cloak of darkness as clarisse stealthily made her way towards the aphrodite cabin. the aura of the daughter of ares carried an intensity that reverberated through the quiet paths, heralding a confrontation fuelled by the depth of her feelings for you.
standing outside the cabin, clarisse's eyes narrowed with determination as she observed the shadows within. the miscreants who had dared to harm you needed to be taught a lesson—one they would not soon forget. gripping her spear tightly, clarisse pushed open the door, her gaze unwavering as she confronted your godly siblings.
the scene within was one of startled surprise as clarisse stormed into the cabin. her voice, usually thunderous on the battlefield, now carried a chilling calmness. "you touch her again, and i promise you, the consequences will be far worse than you can imagine."
the air in the cabin grew heavy with tension as the children of aphrodite, once filled with false bravado, now faced the unyielding force of clarisse's wrath. she recounted the pain you had endured, the tears that stained your face, and the betrayal that cut deeper than any blade.
in her hand, the spear gleamed ominously, a silent warning that spoke volumes. the children of aphrodite, their faces pale with fear, found themselves cornered by the very embodiment of wrath standing before them. clarisse's words echoed in the cavernous space, leaving an indelible mark on their consciousness.
with a final warning that carried the weight of a promise, clarisse turned on her heel, leaving the aphrodite cabin in her wake. the night embraced her as she returned to the ares cabin, a sense of satisfaction lingering in the air. the protective fire that burned within her had been unleashed, a fierce determination to shield you from further harm.
the following day, the morning light filtered through the windows of the ares cabin, casting a gentle glow over the space. you awoke with a heaviness in your heart, the memory of the previous day's betrayal lingering like a shadow. as you sat up in bed, clarisse entered the cabin, her eyes immediately locking onto yours. the weight of the night's events still etched on her features, but a newfound determination shone in her gaze.
"hey," clarisse greeted you, her voice softer than usual. she took a seat beside you, her hand gently resting on your shoulder. "we need to talk."
the air felt charged with a mix of vulnerability and strength as clarisse began to speak. "i know yesterday was rough, and i can't change what happened, but i need you to understand something." she took a deep breath, her eyes searching yours. "your beauty isn't defined by your hair. it's not just one thing that makes you pretty. it's everything."
clarisse began listing every part of you, her voice deliberate and unwavering. "your eyes– they hold a strength and depth that's beyond compare. your lips– they carry a warmth that can brighten the darkest days. your ears– they've heard laughter, pain, and everything in between. every part of you contributes to the unique beauty that is you."
you listened, the weight of her words sinking in, but doubt still lingered in your eyes. clarisse, undeterred, continued, "and, above all, it's your personality. your kindness, your strength, your resilience – that's what makes you truly beautiful."
a flicker of disbelief danced across your face, and clarisse recognised the challenge ahead. she persisted, her gaze unwavering. "say it. say you're beautiful because of your eyes, lips, ears, and every part of you."
you hesitated, the echoes of the previous day's betrayal still reverberating in your mind. "i can't- i can’t say that. not after what they did to me."
clarisse tightened her grip on your shoulder, her voice taking on a gentle insistence. "you need to believe it. it's not about them; it's about you. say it with me. you're beautiful because of your eyes, lips, ears, and every part of you."
it felt like a mantra, a repetition that tested the resilience of self-perception. clarisse didn't back down, patiently guiding you through each affirmation until the words became a declaration echoing within the walls of the ares cabin. "i'm beautiful because of my eyes, lips, ears, and every part of me."
as you repeated the words, something shifted within you. the doubt began to yield to the truth that clarisse so fervently believed. her unwavering support became a lifeline, anchoring you to a newfound understanding of your own beauty.
in that shared moment, surrounded by the strength of ares' cabin, you started to embrace the truth that beauty wasn't confined to a single aspect. it was a mosaic, a tapestry woven from the threads of every part that made you uniquely, undeniably yourself. clarisse, with her fierce love and unyielding determination, had become the mirror reflecting the truth you needed to see.

For as long as you could remember, you had always had an easy time recognizing love. After all, as the daughter of the goddess of love herself, it was practically part of your very nature to do so. Though when you arrived at Camp Half-Blood and found your eyes constantly drawn to a certain fierce, daughter of Ares, you were... understandably puzzled. It wasn't like you were in love, was it? Surely you would know if you were, but one thing remained true. Clarisse LaRue was becoming impossible to ignore.
She had become a fast friend of yours rather quickly, after you'd given her some advice in getting over grief and a broken heart. For reasons you can sure as well guess, if you've made it to the end of the series. And because of that act, she saw you as a friend. Or someone to protect, you weren't always entirely sure with her.
It was early in the morning, maybe around 5:30am. You had recently started a routine where you got up around this time to go take a jog around the camp side of the lake. There was hardly ever anyone up at this time, so you enjoyed the quietness of the early morning. Sometimes you would even see the occasional nymph or mermaid, most of which you were friends with despite their usual nature around campers; because when you saw them you often talked with them. They enjoyed the interactions.
Pulling on some running shoes, joggers and a sweater you headed out. The morning chill running down your spine as you stepped outside, but you welcomed it. You were more than used to it by now anyways.
You started down at one camp boarder on the lake side and took off at a light jog towards the other. It was a good distance, distances you weren't fully used to running. So you paced yourself. Running five minutes, then taking a break. Running ten, then a break and so on. Each time trying to run just a little further than the last. You hoped that in the next couple weeks you could run the full distance without a break, knowing how useful that kind of stamina would be for quests, though you weren't fully sure.
Your eyes drifted to the Ares Cabin in the distance, looking oddly peaceful at this time of the morning. You were sure nobody's ever used 'peaceful' to describe the Ares Cabin. It wasn't exactly a trait they were known to have. Although Clarisse wasn't too bad, in your opinion at least. She'd always been nice to you and stood up for you. You appreciated her. A lot. Your thoughts started drifting towards her, imagining what your life could be like with her. Then you started having some not so PG thoughts and your face immediately flushed. Why were you thinking that way? You'd never been attracted to girls before. Why was Clarisse different? You sighed and tried shifting those thoughts away, instead praying to your mother. Aphrodite. For answers. Hoping that maybe she could give you some sort of sign.
As you did, you decided it would be a good time to take your first break. It'd been about five minutes since you first started, so you sat down and steadied your breathing. Practicing some breathing techniques. Man, you should've brought your water bottle with you. How did you forget that?
"Hey! Knucklehead!" You heard a familiar voice and turned to see Clarisse running towards you. With two bottles of water in her hands.
When she reached you, she handed the second to you with a smirk," noticed you running out here. Did you really forget to bring water?"
"I might've, thanks." You said with a small laugh, feeling butterflies in your stomach as you took the bottle from her. You thought about the prayers you'd just done to your mother; it didn't feel like a coincidence that Clarisse was here now. With the water you'd been thinking about, no less. Your mother definitely had something to do with this, given that Clarisse usually wasn't awake quite this early.
"Are you out here every morning?" She asked, taking a seat next to you and watching you with interest.
The sun was rising just over the water now, casting rays of gold that lit up the lake. Some reached you and Clarisse, brightening your bodies in a light morning glow. One that certainly made it hard for you to look away from Clarisse.
You nodded," yeah. I try to be. It's peaceful when the rest of camp is asleep."
"No doubt," Clarisse grinned, giving a nod in agreement," mind if I join?"
"Sure!" You smiled, a blush at the thought of running with Clarisse. Maybe you were falling in love. You wondered if Clarisse felt the same, part of you had a small feeling that she did.
Children of Aphrodite could sense crushes, especially if they were on them. You were almost certain that's what that feeling was. Clarisse liked you, as more than a friend. You weren't sure if she recognized how you felt, but now that you'd come to terms with it... you started thinking about how to ask her out. And when. Maybe not on this jog, but hopefully sometime this week.

Sisterly advice
Tumblr media
▪︎Luke Castellan x fem!reader
▪︎daughter of Aphrodite
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You and Luke have always been close. So close, in fact, that newcomers automatically assumed that you were dating. The surprised look on their faces when the older campers told them you weren´t, was according to your siblings hilarious.
It's evening and you're sitting on your bed, your legs crossed, while Silena is braiding your hair.
Of all your half-siblings she is your favourite one. Loving, gentle and kind. She is the perfect definition of a daughter of Aphrodite, as she embodies everything that comes to your mind when you think about love - and you want others to feel the same way. They should also think of her and not your other siblings with their childish plays and cruel rituals of breaking others hearts. Maybe they themselves don´t understand what it means being the child of love.
Silena´s fingers run gently through your hair, parting it and intertwining the individual strands together.
“So… what about Charlie?”
You don't have to see her face to know that a smile flashes across her lips at his name. “What about him?”
“Did he finally ask you out?”
She laughs, trying to pretend that she finds the idea absurd. “We are just friends.”
You turn around and give her a look that expresses your opinion about it all too clearly. Don´t try to fool me, darling. I see what´s going on between the two of you!
Again, Silena laughs, gently turning your head forward again to finish the braid. “Okay, other topic. What about you and Luke?”
You copy her laugh. “What about us? We´re just friends.”
You could feel her rising her eyebrows. “Let me give you some sisterly advice: Just friends don´t look at each other like that.”
“Who did you quote? That sentence is so cliché!”
She laughs, taking a hair tie from your bedside table and wrapping it around your braid. “Well… maybe it is but it totally fits you and Luke.”
You turn around, giving her a skeptical look.
Silena shrugs and sits down beside you. “I mean… have you seen his smile when he looks at you? Also he constantly finds excuses to touch you. He improves your posture in archery, even though you are at least as good at it as he is. And – “ she looks at you triumphantly, “He gives you a kiss on the cheek every time he greets you or says goodbye.”
You feel your cheeks flush and cross your arms, trying to think of a counter argument. “A lot of people do that.”
“Yeah, but you´re the only one where Luke does that. Haven´t you noticed?”
To be honest: no, you haven´t. But now as you think about it in detail... it is true. When Luke greets one of the other girls, he just smiles at them.
“In addition, he immediately drops everything when he sees you”, Silena adds, “Yesterday he left in the middle of training because he saw you walking by and wanted to talk to you. Or on Friday, he was in the middle of a conversation with Chris and you waved at him. And what did he do? Exactly, he immediately jogged over. Also last week…”
“Enough!” You laugh, trying to make her shut up by covering her mouth.
Silena dodges you, laughing as you reach into the void. "He let you draw hearts on his sneakers! He watches the sunset with you! He bought you a bracelet for your birthday! You know, I could go on with this for hours." She steps closer, cupping your cheeks with her hands. “Believe me, sis: He´s in love with you!” Her voice is melodic, angel like even. Loving, gentle and kind.
You feel the heat rising to your cheeks and embarrassed you pulls away and cover your face with your hands. “I´m pretty sure he isn´t! You´re overinterpreting!”
“Nope, I´m a daughter of Aphrodite, I can feel it!”
“So am I! And I don't feel anything!”
Silena grabs her cherry lipstick. “Your reaction makes me think that you like him too!”
Did you like him? You weren´t sure. Of course he meant the world to you, butdid you like him more as than a friend? Wouldn´t that be weird kissing him since you know him for so long?
"I'm not sure", you finally manage to say, rolling off your bed and taking a look at the clock. Fortunately, you can at least put the topic off for today. "Oh, damn! Come on, we are already late!”
Silena grabs your hand and leads you outside of cabin 10. It´s already dark and in the distance you can see the flickering flames of the campfire. Most of the campers seem to have already gathered there, their drink in their hands and a smile on their lips as they talk to their siblings and friends.
“Finally!”, one of the Apollo girls greets you.
Chris Rodriguez grins. “Why are the Aphrodite girls always late?”
That is definitely not true! You're not always late. Just most of the times. God, you hate being a cliché.
Luke lifts his head as he hears his brother say “Aphrodite girls”. He spots you and his face lights up like a Christmas tree. Immediately he walks up to you and hugs you, his lips placing a soft kiss on your cheek.
From the corner of your eye you can see Silena rising an eyebrow, as if to say "Well, what did I say?"
“You look amazing”, Luke whispers in your ear, before breaking away from the hug and greeting Silena with a smile. “Charlie is already waiting for you!”, he grins, nodding towards said boy.
Silena giggles, before walking over to him. Gods, it was so obvious that she was head over heels for him.
Luke takes your hand and leads you over to his place next to Chris, where he had already a blanket spread out for the two of you. “Mylady” He pretends to bow.
You can feel your cheeks blush as you sit down. “Thank you so much, Mister!”
Gods, somehow Luke always manages to put a smile on your face. You sit down and stretch out your legs, feeling the comforting heat of the fire.
As Luke takes a seat next to you, you can feel him slide closer, his arm touching yours. Feeling him beside you was comforting, the closest feeling you had to "home".
Luke Castellan. You tilt your head back and look up at the stars as if you expect to see his name engraved up there. You have always liked his name. Luke Castellan. It feels like a secret incantation on your lips.
You can feel his eyes on you. The flickering flames make his face look almost golden. Golden boy. Why didn´t you notice before how handsome he is?
The next song starts and immediately everyone joins in. They lie in each other's arms and rock back and forth, bawling Country roads.
Well, maybe it was just because Silena had told you, but Luke really seems to find exuses for touching you. He leans against you, his arm around your shoulders - even after the song has already ended. You enjoy feeling him so close next to you. The heat he radiates. His soft skin against yours. The realization hits you straight in the face. You had fallen in love with your best friend.
He looks at you and you can't help but smile. Fascinating how beautiful an evening with a campfire could be. For a moment it feels like gods and monsters didn't exist. For a moment everything seems peaceful.
“Can I talk to you for a second?” You can feel Luke´s warm breath on your neck as hewhispers in your ear.
Your heart skips a beat. Did he notice the way you looked at him? Did he suspect something? Was Silena wrong? “Sure!”
Your voice sounds more enthusiastic than you feel.
Luke takes your hand and leads you away from the campfire, away from the singing and the laughter of the others.
You look at him, smiling nervously. “Sooo… what is it? Or did you just want to escape singing Knocking on heavens door.”
He shakes his head, laughing. “No, why would I want to miss Drew´s wonderful voice?”
You cringe at the thought of your sister singing louder than everyone else – and on top of that terribly wrong. She doesn't hit a single note.
“No, actually… Y/N…” He runs a hand through his hair, trying to find the right words. “Gods, you´re so beautiful.”
It´s not the first time that somebody told you that. In fact, being a daughter of Aphrodite, you had heard it thousands of times already.
Still his words felt special to you. Special because he wasn´t just anybody. Ä
He was Luke. Your best friend Luke. Luke who was always there for you, who comforted you when you had trouble with your family, who managed to make you laugh when you lay in your bed crying your eyes out over something your stepmother had said. Luke who you trusted with all your heart.
“I wanted to ask you if you'd like to go on a picnic tomorrow?” He avoids looking at you.
Why is he so shy about going on a picnic? That's quite strange since you´d done this a few times before. You had even found your very own spot with a fantastic view over the sea. There was nothing more beautiful than watching sunsets while drinking juice and eating biscuits. So why does he seem so insecure?
Luke seems to notice your confusion. “I meant as a date”, he clarifies.
You raise your eyebrow, your heart racing. “Are you asking me out?”
“Yeah.”
For a moment you stood there, perplexed. Why was it so obvious to the others while you had no idea?
"So... what do you say?" Luke looks at you, biting his lip nervously. He seems to assume that you aren't answering because you're looking for a way to reject him as gently as possible.
Quickly you step forward, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. "Yes, I'd love to go on a date with you."
"Really?" Immediately he blushes deeply. That must have slipped out.
"Sure, why wouldn't I?" You giggle, taking his hand. "I've known you for years now. You're kind and brave and one of the most caring people I know."
A laugh escapes his lips. "Wow, if I had known that, I would have asked you way earlier." His hand slowly reaches for your cheek.
You hold your breath as he leans forward and places a soft kiss on your lips. It didn't feel weird at all. The opposite, actually. Seems like sometimes best friends can turn into lovers.
You wrap your arms around him, pulling him closer. Soft kisses become more passionate. His hands run through your hair, slowly brushing loose strands out of your face.
When he pulls away a huge smile creeps across his lips. "I love you, Y/N"
You return his smile, taking his hand and intertwining your fingers. "I love you, too."
As you walk back to the campfire holding hands, Silena beams at you. "I told you, Y/N, friends don't look at each other like that."
You shake your head, laughing. "Your advice really is the best."

✮⋆˙ y/n’s pov
“some kid killed a minotaur!” a hermes cabin demigod yelled from near the dining pavilion. glancing up from our glasses of soda, annabeth and I turned towards the voice. “he’s a new one!”
we looked at each other, wondering which god couldn’t keep it in their pants again.
suddenly, a few apollo kids ran out from the infirmary towards the arch near thalia’s tree.
“the new kid’s probably clumsy,” annabeth said.
“he killed a minotaur,” I shot back.
“hey, you can be dumb and strong at the same time.”
“uh huh. whose child do you think he is? I bet it’s one of the big three.” I said.
“no way, they have a pact, remember-”
“do you really think they actually follow that, annie?” I snickered at her.
in a while, an unconscious boy about their age was carried into the infirmary. I only caught sight of his black hair, and dishevelled and bloody look. I decided to visit him the next day to check up on his condition.
the rest of the day was spent reading in my cabin, while my sisters tried new makeup products on our brother, which was quite funny, really.
throughout the next week, I left the warmth of my bed to visit the new kid—percy jackson—in the infirmary. he had begun to regain consciousness.
“who are you?” he asked, sharply inhaling a breath.
“oh, hey,” I smiled at him. “i’m y/n y/l/n. daughter of aphrodite.”
“right. daughter of aphrodite. a goddess,” he repeated slowly.
I realised that no one had explained about camp half-blood to him yet, and took that job upon myself after calling out for will and letting him know that his patient was awake.
“so, there’s gods and goddesses. and monsters. and everything in the greek myths you were taught? they’re all real. at camp half-blood, we’re all demigods—the children of a god or goddess and a mortal.” I continued to explain to him how the demigod world worked, remembering to talk about the mist, the gods, the cabins, and everything else.
I expected him to not believe me, and call me names (like the other new campers) for lying, but he took it like a champ. he nodded at me, sitting up properly, and asked for something so his arm would stop paining. I immediately got will to help him.
the next week, when I was out by the beach, reading my romance novel about a mortal girl and a faerie prince falling in love after being enemies, I heard sand shifting around behind me.
“who-” I turned around.
“hey, y/n, right?” percy asked, walking closer.
“ah, you remember,” I said, a smile growing on my face.
“well, yeah. you’re really just the only person who has spoken to me normally… and not like I was some intimidating and scary… thing,” he said, running his hands through his already dishevelled hair.
“come, sit down.” I patted the sand beside me. he took his place there, sitting down with his legs criss-crossed.
“what are you reading?” he asked.
I explained to him the plot, setting, characters, and everything about the book I was reading for the next few hours.
we sat there till dusk, watching the sun set into pretty hues of pink, purple, and orange.
“it’s so pretty, isn’t it?” I asked.
✮⋆˙ percy’s pov
“yeah, it is.” I replied to her, eyes fixed on her side profile.
wow. she’s so beautiful.
timeskip: present
“perce!” y/n called loudly, running towards me.
“heyyyy! n/n, you’re back! how was the quest? did you get hurt or anything?” I asked, hugging her, and then moving back to scan her for injuries.
“i’m fine, perce, all good. I got will to check me out and he cleared me,” she said, grinning. her face was swiped with dirt and grime, but she still looked like she was an ethereal princess who walked out of one of her books. “what? have I got a lot of dirt on my face?”
“nah, you’re cool. ‘s pretty.” I said, and she laughed—my favourite sound in the entire world. “and anyway, you need to change out of these clothes and meet me outside your cabin. I have something for you.”
“what is it?”
“that’s a surprise-”
“I hate surprises.”
“you’ll like this one,” I winked at her, as she laughed again.

✮⋆˙ y/n’s pov
I changed into casual loose sweatpants and a shirt since it was summer.
ah, summer. one of most romantic seasons ever. the breeze whipping around a girl’s hair, as a boy runs towards her with flowers. the sunlight falling onto their faces as they share a kiss. watching the sun set in pretty shades everyday with each other. that was summer.
everything about it reminded me of percy. watching sunsets, seeing the sunlight fall on his face after he gets out of the water. the flowers, now dry, that he gifted me for every special occasion.
it was hard to admit that I liked him more than I would like any friend. i’d never picked up any hints from him, that might’ve signalled that he liked me, no matter how many of my siblings told me he did.
all friends hold hands, right? and all good friends wish each other a good morning and good night everyday. what was so special? the flowers?
“hey, n/n!” percy’s voice dragged me out of my thoughts. he was dressed in loose shorts and a hawaii button up, and my gods, he looked so gorgeous.
“perce! at least tell me where we’re going now,” I groaned.
“nuh-uh. a surprise is a surprise.” he brought out a blindfold and handed it to me. I raised my eyebrow at him. “put it on. i’ll take you there.”
“I swear to gods, if this turns out to be a prank-”
“shh, it won’t. now put it on,” he promised.
I walked closer to him and put on the blindfold, and he turned me around a few times to make sure I wouldn’t figure out where we’re going. I scoffed at his childish actions.
as he was standing behind me, I felt his warmth on my back. he took my arms at my side and urged me to walk ahead.
he manoeuvred me in different directions and finally stopped after a while.
“you ready, princess?” he asked. the nickname did something to cause butterflies in my stomach.
“yeah,” I whispered.
he took off the blindfold, and it was too bright for a second. I shielded my eyes and groaned, before letting them adjust to the harsh sunlight.
I looked around and saw a huge, fluffy blanket laid down on the grass of the fields. a basket with food was set in one corner and a bouquet in the centre.
specifically, a book bouquet.
“PERCY, HOW DID YO-”
“surprise,” he grinned, as I turned around and hugged him. he’d always given me gifts when I returned from quests, but this was, by far, the best.
“how’d you know all my favourites?” I asked, looking at the 10 romance novels on the blanket.
“oh, annie helped,” he said enthusiastically. “should we sit down and start eating? you can tell me all about the people in your books, and why you like romance books especially, yeah?”
smiling, we sat down on the blankets, and ate away with no care in the world.
✮⋆˙ percy’s pov
as she talked about her books for the next few hours, I could only think about how beautiful her brown eyes were, especially when the sunlight hit them at the correct angle. how soft her lips looked as her mouth moved at a faster pace than her thoughts. how perfect her cheeks were, smiling wide. how amazing she was. how smart and beautiful she was.
when did my feelings of friendship turn into love, for her?
as she continued to speak of the love between her favourite characters, I noticed her longing for a similar love. I could give that to her, couldn’t I?
wait. what? what am I even thinking? y/n’s my best friend.
“love is everywhere, in every gesture, every glance. it’s the thread that binds us together, connecting hearts across time and space,” she said.
and at that moment, I knew I was done for.
I was hopelessly in love with my best friend.

Warnings:  Mature, 18+, Dry Humping, Semi-Public Relations, Not Proofread
Word Count: 2, 720
Tumblr media
It’s stereotypical, you were aware—a whole cliche. But what were you to do when you realized that you were growing attracted to one of the sons of your mother’s past paramours? It did not help that he was the strongest fighter in camp— the most mysterious and illusive Demi-God there. You watch him by the benches whilst you sit and chat with one of the daughters of the Goddess Demeter, Helaena. “You’re staring at him again,” She teased as her fingers twirled the stem of a dandelion whose buds she blew away. You rolled your eyes and shifted your gaze, denying the accusation. “Just speak to him; I’m sure he won’t be as standoffish as he seems.” Helaena hummed, but you shook your head.
“What are you two talking about?” Aegon, the son of Dionysus, appeared, seemingly intoxicated, even though wine was banned from camp. “No— let me guess,” he quickly said. “I’m guessing… the brooding swordsman? Hm?” He asked you, and you felt color bloom on your cheeks. Were you that obvious? You groaned and tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear in frustration. “I do not understand! They… usually fall at my feet, trying to get my attention! But not him,” You complained, making Aegon and Helaena smile in amusement at the expense of your irritation. “Whatever, I’m going for a walk,” You grumbled and stood, trying hard not to let your gaze fly over to Aemond, who trained with a sword.
You find yourself in the woods, threading closer to the lake where you often stare at your reflection in the water. You took in a deep breath and stared at your face blessed by your mother— the prettiest girl in camp, they say. You attracted all sorts of attention, good and bad, but the only attention you wanted was never bestowed upon you. He denied you of his lone gaze. “What’s a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?” You hear a voice ask. You sighed and cast your gaze upward, landing on Jacaerys, son of Hephaestus. “Hello, Jacaerys,” You say politely.
“Do you mind if I join you?” He asked, dark eyes hopeful. “I… I’d actually prefer to be alone right now,” You reasoned. Watching his face drop. You sigh; if only Aemond were this excited to be in your presence. “Oh,” Jacaerys said, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. “I’ll see you at dinner, Jace,” You give him a fleeting smile, and you thank the gods that he actually took the hint and left. You returned to stare at yourself, trying to define which aspect you could improve upon, highlighting them in hopes that it would catch the attention of one of the sons of the God of War.
“What are you doing?” A different voice asked, a reflection joining yours on the surface of the water. You yelped and backed away in surprise. “Gods, Aemond,” You said as he finally cast his eye upon you. “What were you doing?” He asked once again, leading out his hand to assist you to stand. “Staring at myself,” You mumbled, feeling heat rise to your cheeks as he caught you. You hear him scoff, “Of course,” He said and let go of your hand that tingled from touching his. “Best you be reminded by the fate of Narcissus,” Aemond stated. You bit back your tongue; this is what you wanted. He was speaking to you— his attention on you, but now it came; why were you frozen as if you had gazed at Medusa?
“Do you not have to train?” You asked Aemond as you perched yourself upon a log near the river banks. You watch him take a pebble into his fingers, skipping it on the water. “I’ve just finished,” he said and moved to take a seat next to you. You took your lower lip between your teeth as you felt your shoulders brush, the heat of him reaching you. “What do you think we’re doing here?” You suddenly ask as both of you stare off into the orange sun that reflects on the lake. “What do you mean? We’re here to train. We’re here for protection from the outside world.” Aemond stated the obvious, but you shook your head. “Train for what?” You asked, “A war.”
“Is there one?” Your eyes locked upon his. “I… I just do not understand why I was brought here,” You confessed as you saw the confusion in his lilac orb. “They say the world of mortals was filled with danger— but mine wasn’t. I was living comfortably— I do not understand why my mother had summoned me if I am not to do anything here,”
“The gods have a purpose in every action they make— even if we do not understand it,” You hummed at his statement. “Do you truly believe that?” Aemond looked at you with a question once more. “I just… feel like we’re pawns being played here— born to do their bidding. We make the sacrifices; they get the glory.  I just think that the minuscule scrap of recognition they throw is not at all  worth it.” You saw a smirk rising to his lips despite the seriousness you posed. “What?” Aemond shakes his head; you feel him inch his way closer to you. “My sister seems to think that you’re filled with air in that pretty little head of yours,” You blinked at his statement; should you be offended or flattered?
“And do you agree?” You ask, fearing for his statement. Aemond hummed, gazing at your face. It was the first time in your life that you felt insecure under someone’s gaze— the first time you felt fear that someone might not think you agreeable and comely. “I agree with her when she said that you were pretty… very pretty,” You bit your cheeks as his eyes flew to your blushed cheeks and then ever so quickly to your lips. “But, no, she was completely mistaken to underestimate you,” You feel your lips twitch, catching Aemond’s attention. You inch towards him, your desires swirling with your assumptions. Aemond stayed rooted where he sat; he did not lean in, nor did he pull away. When your nose brushed, you hear him take in a harsh breath. “We should head back,” he said and pulled away, leaving you confused and overly embarrassed and rejected.
Tumblr media
You were so close— you took the courage to move first. It was all Aemond wanted— all that he had dreamed of. All his offerings to the gods were for this moment, which was why he was greatly disappointed and infuriated with himself when he backed away and left like a coward. It was too much— it was so much more than he could handle. Ever since you’ve arrived at camp, all he did was try and keep your attention on him. He trained day and night, purposefully choosing grounds where you would pass by. He would relish with each moment that he would feel your gaze upon him. Watching intently as he would fight and show off his skill, hoping that it would impress you. Knowing that it was how his father had caught the attention of your mother.
Aemond’s eye would fly to you during dinner, you sitting with your brothers and sisters. There was no smile on your lips, unlike the previous nights; you sat limply and played with your food, your cheek resting on your palm as a pout formed itself on your luscious lips. What had he done? How could he subject the most beautiful girl his eye has ever seen to such a sullen state? Aemond dug his nails into his palms. You were the daughter of beauty and love, and he was the son of war and strife. He did not deserve anything so precious and delicate as you. He could only offer you ruin and struggle. The thought of bringing you conflict only fortified his decision to back away. To instead protect you from afar— to relinquish his desires to be with you, to hold you, kidding himself that gazing at you was enough. That simply looking at you had to be enough.
Tumblr media
Days passed as both you and Aemond avoided each other. You, embarrassed by your wanting actions and him, controlling himself from giving in to his desires. You no longer watched as he would impressively train with the sword, and he would no longer silently trail you wherever you went. Aemond only picked specific moments to follow you and made certain that no danger would find you— even though the two of you were in the safety of camp where no danger could reach, Aemond was just simply cautious.
You traded the lake for the beach. Walking alone on the sanded path, the moonlight shining bright atop the water. Your mind consistently loops your foolish actions, making you cringe at yourself. You called for your mother the other night, trying to find guidance or perhaps comfort, as rejection did not sit well with you. The thought of someone not falling for your charms when everyone so easily did, scared you. She ignored your offerings and pleas, leaving you to face your confusion and fears by yourself, only solidifying your beliefs that you and all the children in this camp were simply pawns by the gods. Expected to answer their call when it first rings whilst they constantly ignore yours.
You sighed heavily, staring off into the sea where your mother was born. Stepping foot into the water, you tried to connect with the woman who disrupted your peaceful, mortal life only to bring you here and ignore you. You took deep breaths, walking deeper into the water, not caring that you were still clothed as you submerged yourself in the sea. Aemond watched by the shore, battling with himself if he should follow. When you disappeared under the water, with each passing second, you did not emerge; it only put forth fear in the bravest demi-god in camp.
Aemond shook his head and ran to the sea, diving to where you disappeared only to catch you resurface, shocked as you realized his presence had joined you. “Aemond,” You breathed out, wiping away the salt water from your eyes, the boy holding your arm, the waves pushing him closer to you. “What… what were you doing?” He asked, concern lacing his deep, silky voice. “I wanted to swim,” You reasoned, hoping that the water would clean you from embarrassment and shame. You feel his eye grow downward, looking at the clothes you fashioned. “In your night dress?” He asked, the silk fabric thin, the cool water clinging to your body. “It was a spontaneous decision,” You mumbled, your gaze shifting away from him as your cheeks heated. The both of you floating in the sea.
“Why are you here?” you asked, realizing that he had gone in the water, fully clothed as well. You met his eye, the sapphire orb shifting around. His thin, pink lips parted as he tried to find a reason. “I… I—“ You bit your lip, as you had never seen him so flustered. The most fearsome son of Ares is at a loss for words when faced with the prettiest daughter of Aphrodite.
Aemond stayed silent, only the crashing of waves reaching your ears. It took a while for the both of you to realize that you floated in each other’s arms— the past events of the other day returning to your mind, both making you conscious. “I’m sorry about the other day,” You whispered as you saw it best to address your actions in order for the both of you to forget it and your mind to free you from the torment of your idiotic presumption. “It was wrong for me to assume… I have misread your intentions and made you uncomfortable; I apologize.” You say sincerely.
You hear Aemond sigh, the waves pushing your bodies closer together, his breath fanning your face, your scent invading his senses. “You did not misread anything,” He admitted. Making your brows furrow. “I… I wanted you to kiss me, wished for it for a while now.” He confessed with a small smile, trying to lighten the tense air with his rare but charming smile. “Oh,” was all you could say as you tried to comprehend his words. “Then why… “ you trailed as you had trouble wording out what had transpired in the lake. Aemond sighed, and you stilled as you felt his arms wrap around your waist, flushing your bodies together as the both of you floated. The moonlight lighted your face, illuminating his silver hair as well as your milky skin. “I got scared,” He admitted, daring to cup your cheek. Your skin was soft against his calloused palm.
“You? Got scared? The favored son of the god of war got scared by the prospect of a kiss?” You asked in confusion, resting your hands on his shoulders. You hear him let out a small chuckle. “I was only frightened because it was you who I would be kissing,” He stated, caressing your cheek. “The most beautiful girl I was ever blessed to see… now, I hope you’d understand why I panicked,” Aemond smiled as the blush on your cheeks deepened. You set your gaze downward, staring at the water that sparkled under the silver light. Your heart stilled when you felt Aemond place a finger under your chin to raise your gaze once more, finally having the courage to place his lips against yours.
Aemond wanted to be slow and cautious, to not frighten or pressure you to succumb to all his desires. But as a sigh left your throat when your lips finally met, all restraint he had disappeared. Pulling you impossibly closer to him, making you wrap your legs around him, letting your arms cling to him. Deepening your kiss, his tongue asked for entrance, which you were hesitant to give but relished the feeling when you did. Aemond’s chest rumbled with a sound as you accidentally nipped his lip, enjoying your mistake that only fueled his desires further.
You pulled away from him, suddenly feeling cautious as the both of you were being so intimate in such an open space where anyone could see. You tried to speak reason, to speak caution that the both of you may be caught, but as Aemond placed his lips on your neck, kissing it and leaving his marks, you no longer had the capacity to speak. Pleasure freezing your mind at the new sensation. Aemond hummed as he heard your heavy breathing, your sweet taste mixing with the salted water as he indulged in the feel of your skin. Aemond closed his eye tightly as you, who had your legs wrapped around his torso started to move your hips. Squirming as you felt urgency for something you were yet to know consuming you.
Aemond’s hand moved downwards from your waist to your bottom, cupping them and aiding your movements that sought for friction. You let go of a shaky breath against his lips, your eyes looking deeply at his sapphire eye that turned dark and glazed with deeper desires and restraint. “Aemond,” You whimpered, filled with anticipation of what was to come. You ground your hips further, making him utter a foul word and turn his head to the heavens. Aemond moved one hand to cup your cheek, bringing you closer to kiss your lips once more. “I… I— Aemond,” was all you could utter as you were uncertain what the sensation was building inside you. It was sharp and urgent and pleasurable— an odd mix. “Are you to come, my pretty girl? Hm?” Aemond gritted as his hips met yours. He bent his head down and placed a kiss atop your chest; his head felt light at the whimpers of his name that your mouth spewed.
“Aemond!” You shrieked as all finally fell, your body feeling alight as you came at the sensation of riding against the boy you had desired for long. Aemond gritted out your name as he, too, came, spilling himself in his trousers. You hummed as he kissed you again, tasting him and the sea that was witness to your desires and pleasures being fed.

He was so pretty. And that’s coming from a daughter of Aphrodite. Y/N was always admiring him from afar. His black hair that would occasionally be swept away from his face as the wind blew, causing the perfect view of his perfect features. It was confusing how a guy could look that beautiful.
She knew she wasn't the only one who felt that way, of course. Lots of girls had crushes on him. Most prominently, the prettiest daughter of Athena. Who, as if on queue, approached Percy as he was training. She had her curls in a ponytail, no makeup, just sweat that somehow made her glow. She didn't try. And he looked at her like she was all that he worshiped.
“I cant believe youre jealous of her,” one of y/n’s sisters commented.
She scoffed, “I’m not jealous of her,” she faced the other girl, “she’s just a bookworm, who happens to look like if Kate Hudson and Taylor Swift had a baby who was Victoria’s Secret Angel.”
“Mermaid man, twelve o’clock.”
“What?” She turned around to see the son of Poseidon approaching her. She awkwardly flipped her hair to be in front of her shoulders, then a little behind her shoulders, then-
“Y/N! I wanted to talk to you,” he greeted, sitting next to her.
Her sister smirked before walking off with a wink. Her heartbeat quickened, her mind going stupid, “Percsty!” She smiled.
“I have to confess something to you, no one knows, so please don't tell anyone, okay?”
She quickly nodded, “anything, yeah of course. What is it?”
He bit his lips. Oh gods. “I was wondering if you could help me impress Annabeth.”
Heart? Shattered. Brain? Broken. Lungs? Zero air, absolutely nothing.
“You like her?”
He blushed, looking down and fidgeting with his hands, “I do.”
“I can help,” dumbass, “one of the perks of being Aphrodite’s daughter.”
With that, she found herself in cabin three, under terrible, terrible circumstances.
“What’s her favorite flower?”
He thought for a second, “irises.”
Y/N wrote that down in her notebook, which she would promptly be burning at the campfire tonight. The stress was taking her over, she was ready to tear off the pink fluff ball that sat atop the pen.
“Food?”
“Extra olive pizza.”
“Gag me with a spoon,” she blurted as she wrote. “What?”
“What?”
He leaned back on his bed, “you think she’ll like this? I’m not even sure if she likes me back.”
“Trust me,” she sighed, “she does.”
“I dont know.”
“Percy, she does,” she snapped, “especially I planned this whole thing.”
“Thanks for that, by the way,” he grinned, “I really wanna make sure she likes everything.”
“She will,” she reassured. “You know, I never really pegged you as a romantic.”
“Me neither,” he sighed, “but when it comes to her, gods.”
Y/N frowned, “you really love her?”
He stuttered, “I mean, love, that’s a big word. I- uhm- love her- I don’t,” he took a breath, “I do.”
The only way I can explain what y/n thought in that moment was something along the lines of, “alfkhgnlkhsjk.”
She looked next to him from where she was sitting. That’s when she noticed the framed picture on his bedside table. Him and Annabeth, two years ago it looked to be. His arm around her shoulder, both of them seemed to have been laughing when the candid was taken. That's when it hit her. The bright smiles on their faces were the ones she only ever saw when they  were together. Like they both had smiles reserved for the other.
She looked back at the green eyes that were looking at her, “I can tell.”
She stood in the middle of the woods, a few feet away from the camp entrance. She saw the figure approaching her. She reached for her pocket, getting ready.
“Cheese pizza with extra olives?”
She nodded, “yeah.”
“$11.90,” the delivery boy added.
She handed him the money, plus tip, considering he had to come into the middle of the woods for this.
She walked back into camp. Wondering why she was doing this. If she had been one of her siblings, she probably would've tried to sabotage the whole thing. Make sure that Percy and Annabeth never happen. But the way he talked about her? Like she was the center of the universe? She knew she could never compete with the daughter of Athena. His wisegirl.
“You got the pizza?”
She handed it to Percy as he set up the pink irises in a vase, “here,” she muttered, “there’s no change.”
“One pizza costs twenty dollars?” He questioned.
She shrugged, “inflation.” It was kinda depressing. The best revenge she could get was giving an eight dollars and 10 cents tip. She awkwardly played with the skirt of her dress, “I’ll go get Annabeth.”
She hurried to cabin six. She knocked on the door, lucky enough, the blonde opening it, “hey?”
“Annabeth!” she forced a smile, “Percy was looking for you, he wanted you to meet him by the strawberry fields.”
“Oh?”
“Seaweed Brain!” y/n heard the laugh from archery training. She turned around, catching a glimpse of the new couple. Her hand was in his as they walked. Her nose buried in his shoulder as she giggled. For a second, just a second, he looked back at the daughter of Aphrodite. He flashed her smile, wording, “I owe you.”
Yes, you do.

Your name is 'Y/n M/n Grabriella O'hara L/n', but you just went by 'Y/n L/n'. You got bit by a radioactive spider, since then you've been the one and only Spider Girl. You lived with both your Mom and Aunt. Sadly you had no father. You often wondered who he was and how he was like. There was a huge picture of him in the hall, so you had an idea on what he looked like.
You used to have an uncle, who you saw as your father figure, but he got killed in a robbery gone wrong. You were resentful for a while, wanting to find who was responsible for the murder of your uncle, but you had learned that no matter what you did, your uncle wasn't going to come back. At least you got the guy to be put in jail, paying for what he did.
After a year, everything was normal. You went to school, then went to fight a few bad guys from the streets and went home to be with your mom and aunt. That morning you were sitting on the table eating breakfast with your mom and aunt, your mom had got a call from the school, telling her about the many tardies and missed classes you had.
"Por que me andan llamando de la escula que estas faltando y que llegas tarde?" Why am I getting calls from the school that you're not showing up to class and getting to class late?, your mom asked, clearly not happy about this. Sure one or two calls, but many? Nope, she was not having it. "I don't know! Maybe they must have not seen me?" you explained, you couldn't possible tell her the truth why you were running late. All your mom did was sigh. "Oh andas con esos Vagos, te dije que no megusta que andes con esos, marijuanos" Or you're with those bums, I told you I don't like it when you hang out with those, potheads, she complained, she began to sound like your Abuelita.
All you did was sigh, there was no winning this with her. If you said a word, she'll give you that look that you didn't like. Even as an older teen you hated getting that look. "Okay Okay, ya le dijiste algo, deja que coma para que ya se valla a la escuela" Okay okay, you already told her something, let her eat so that she can go to school, your aunt defended you. All your mom did was roll her eyes as she began to wash the pan she used to cook the eggs and chorizo. "Anda, consentida, consentida" Go on, spoil her, spoil her, she chanted obviously annoyed.
Once you were done with breakfast, you gave your aunt your plate and went to brush your teeth. Once done, you went to get your bag and walked back to the dinning room. "I'm leaving" you said, going towards your aunt and your mom, giving them a kiss on the cheek. "Have a good day, and don't be late! Next time I get a call, your ass is mine!" your mom warned. "Bye Mija" your aunt said, then you left the apartment complex.
Tumblr media
You were walking walking to the subway, hoping that you'd get to school on time, you did not want to get an ass whoppen or be grounded. Then that was when you heard some commotion happen, and there it was a bad guy. "Puta Madre" Mother Fucker, you cursed, pulling down your backpack and began to slip into your spider suit in the ally.
This bag guy was not your regular bad guy, he looked way different then how the other guys you dealt with, but you fought with him anyway. The fight felt like hours, who the hell was this guy? You were getting exhausted by the fighting, until something had happened. A portal had opened and a giant guy wearing a blue and red suit. You basically watched how this guy was fighting off this other guy.
"Hey don't you need help?" you asked as the guy ran by to capture the other bad guy. "I got it handled!" he yelled, as he continued to catch up to the guy. All you could do id watched while being amazed as well. Who was he? Another spider person? How was that possible? After a couple minutes, you had joined in the fight to help the guy. "So who are you? Another spider person? I thought was the only one!" you said while getting the hold of the guy with your web. "You'd be surprised kid!" he said while getting a hold of the guy as well. "I'm not kid! I'm the one and only SpiderGirl!" you corrected him. He ignored you, continuing to fight with the crook.
Tumblr media
The fight was over, and he had sent the crook into a portal that he went through. You were amazed by the portal and the guy. "Does this mean you'll be my mentor? Or my partner?" you asked, making the guy scoff. "No kid, I got better things to do then babysit a kid. "Hey! I'm fifteen, so I'm not a kid, I had my quinceanera, which means I'm already an adult woman" you complained. The guy just sighed. "Anyway, come on kid, I need you" he said walking towards the portal. "I'd love to but If I'm l-" you were cut off by the look he gave you, even with his mask on, you could see the same look your mom would give you. "Okay, I'll just get my ass whopped by my mom" you said as you walked into the portal with the guy.
You had arrived at an elevator, it was pretty huge, not to mention the cool view of the outside. "Cool.." you said, then you looked at the guy, who had removed somehow got his masked removed. When you got a look on his face, your eyes widen, no fucking way, it wasn't possible. "Why do you look like my dead dad?" you asked the guy, making him look at you with a confused look. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "My dad? Why do you look like him?" you asked again.
The guy just gave you a look of confusion. "I have no idea what you're talking about... I don't have a daughter.. at least not anymore" he said sadly looking away. You tilted your head a bit, confused by his confession. Then you had an idea. You then removed your mask, showing him your face to him. When the guy got a look at your face, his eyes had widen as if someone had dumped a bucket of ice cold water on him. "Y/n?" he said in a whisper, in shocked.

warnings: none
a/n: helloooow, and yeah, my first connor or stolls thing.
To start off, Connor is just head over heels for you—literally, completely, no doubt about it, he's drooling over you.
You're his girlfriend, but he still sneaks peeks at you when you're walking through the camp or hanging out in your cabin. He tries to spook you when he sneaks in, but a few feet before he gets to you... "Connor," you say in a stern voice, and he freezes with wide eyes but a mischievous grin on his face. "Darling," he responds, relaxing as he walks towards you. "Could you stop that? I always catch you," and he raises an eyebrow, pulling something out of his pocket and sitting next to you. "How do you do it, my lady?" You smile and put down the little golden brush he gave you a few weeks ago while still holding a rubber band in your mouth to finish your braid. Connor takes it from your lips and gives you a quick kiss before you speak. "Your smell, Hermes kids have a distinct scent..." and you laugh at his incredulous face. "You little... dove."
That's usually how you two tease each other, and it keeps him hooked and obsessed with you.
He often gives you things he "borrows" (steals), and you make him pay for them.
He calls you nicknames like "Doll," "Little Dove," "Pretty Face."
Connor takes you on dates to the lake, probably grabbing a canoe and rowing around while you two just talk with no distractions.
Constant jokes about "You stole my heart," and you rolling your eyes.
He loves it when you take care of him, letting you braid his hair or put face masks on him. "Handsome boy," you say as you check him out, noticing a slight blush on his cheeks.
He constantly tries to pamper you and be romantic, acting like a gentleman and keeping you away from any shady (or at least camp-illegal) stuff he might be involved in.
He loves holding your hand all the time, whether you're sitting, walking, or lying down.
Kisses on the forehead and cheeks.
He loves that your perfume lingers on his clothes.
A boyfriend who sneaks around to see you secretly or leave you hidden gifts.

Please, Please, Please
Connor Stoll x fem!aphrodite!reader
Synopsis: everyone thinks he's going to break your heart. You're hoping they're wrong.
Tumblr media
When you told people that you were dating Connor, you were given... mixed reactions. Most people didn't understand why you'd even give him a chance; you were so beautiful inside and out, the closest one could be to a goddess without actually being immortal. Connor was a pest. Upsetting as people's opinions could be, even you had to admit that if someone told you a year ago that you'd be with the son of Hermes, you probably would've laughed in their face.
But nobody knew Connor like you did. He was sweet when he tried to be, and he always wanted to impress you. It was like he was painfully aware that he was playing out of his league, and he was trying in every way possible to make up for it. It usually worked. He'd always have you blushing and giggling (which he had decided was his number one goal in life).
But along with the strange looks came the concerned warnings. "He's going to hurt you," they all said. "It's only a matter of time." Obviously, you defended Connor. That was your boyfriend they were talking about! But at the same time, you knew they had some good points. Connor could be incredibly unserious, and as long as you'd known him, he'd never had a serious relationship. People were worried he'd treat you like just another joke, and sometimes you understood why.
"Connor, don't you dare," you said, not finding it funny. You were completely dressed, with socks and shoes on, your hair and makeup done perfectly, and he had been joking about pushing you into the lake. "What do you mean? I just want to hug my lovely girlfriend!"
You backed up, knowing that look in his eye. The mischievous glint would be unnoticeable to anyone who didn't know him so well, but you saw it. As he came closer to you, he began to smirk, and before you knew it you were lifted up and thrown over his shoulder before being submerged in the cold, cold lake.
You came up gasping for air, absolutely livid. "Fuck you!" You screamed at him. He only laughed, finding your anger funny.
It was moments like these that made you consider the possibility that maybe the other campers were right. You put a lot of care into your appearance, something he didn't seem to care about, no matter how many times you told him you didn't want to go in the water. He wasn't listening to you, even when you were completely serious.
You weren't new to heartbreak; if Connor did happen to break your heart, you'd recover. You were a child of Aphrodite, you'd bounce back like nothing ever happened. But the hit your ego would take if you gave Connor Stoll a chance and he embarrassed you like that? You couldn't handle that. Not that you necessarily thought low of Connor, but everybody knew you were way out of his league. Not to mention how you'd defended him. If they turned out to be right about him... that was something you don't think you could never recover from.
So you silently pleaded with him, staring into his eyes when he was being especially annoying. Please please please, don't prove them right, don't prove I'm right. Don't make me cry. If you're gonna be stupid, leave me out of it.
Sure, Connor was an idiot, but he seemed to care a lot. So like that day at the lake, if he messed up, he'd be right there to dry you off and apologize, and no matter how mad you were, you'd forgive him eventually. He'd still laugh at your angry face, but then he'd kiss it until you physically couldn't force yourself to pout anymore.
Maybe, just maybe, he heard your prayers. Maybe, just maybe, he'd prove everyone wrong.
