As the sun dipped below the skyline, casting a warm orange glow over the bustling streets of Busan, I nervously adjusted my scarf and glanced at my watch. Today was my first date, and I wanted, no needed everything to be perfect. I spent hours planning out an evening filled with charming surprises, hoping to impress Jimin. Who was so kindly introduced to me through Hobi.

“Hey bro!” Hoeseok exclaimed pulling his friend into a hug “Y/N this is Jimin, Jimin Y/N”

My eyes reached his, he smiled back at me his eyes forming a beautiful creasant moon, wrinkles forming as he scrunched his nose. His voice was beautiful, sounding almost as calm as the night sky.

“So this is the beautiful lady you've told me so much about” Jimin spoke a small smirk resting on the tip of his lips.

My face turning a violent shade of red looking to Hobi in shock.

“We should hang soon Y/N, I would love to see that beautiful smile of yours more often” He smiled at me, handing me a small card.

‘Call me - xxxx-xxx”

I made my way to a quiet café, famous for its artisan coffee and homemade pastries. I picked out a table situated in the corner next to a window. I looked out the window watching all the people pass by. Some young, some old and sometimes a mixture of both.

The sound of a bell chime pulled me away from my thoughts, turning my head to the sound and there he stood. A simple sweater and long baggy jeans adorned his body, I shot him a small smile as he approached me.

“You came” I smiled at him

“Of course I did, I told you I wanted to see that beautiful smile of yours again” Jimin smiled back at me.

I felt the blood rush to my face once again, something about his smile was keeping me at ease almost instantly. As the date continued we bonded through music and movie preferences. The rich lattes fueling my excitement.

“Wanna take a stroll through Yongdusan Park?” I Quiried.

“Anything for you my lady” He chirped back at me. Standing up, offereing me a hand.

The park was alive, street performers, artists and the lively chatter of locals enjoying the evening filled my ears. Walking hand in hand through the park, every now and then pointing out the pop up stalls or just simply appreciating the scenery.

Unbeknownst to me, Jimin had managed to snap a couple pictures of me. Some of just our hands or the atmosphere but one in particular he was saving for later.

As the evening wore on, we stumbled upon an outdoor movie screening. Blankets dotted the grass as a classic film played on the big screen.

My heart began to race as I edged Jimin closer.

“Please? Can we please?” I whined dragging out my words.

Jimin chuckled back at me before following me to a spot left on the grass. Hand in hand and body to body, so close I could hear his heart hammering in his chest.

As the movie ended and the credits rolled, Jimin took a chance.

“Want to grab some ice cream?” he asked, his eyes sparkling with hope.

I eagerly nodded, and began to drag Jimin into a nearby ice cream shop, the air sweet and inviting. We both opted for unique flavours—lavender honey for Y/N and spicy chocolate for Jimin. The unexpected combinations sparked more laughter and playful teasing as we savoured our treat.

Towards the end the night, I led the way to the pier, where the gentle sound of water lapping against the dock created a serene atmosphere. We stood side by side, the city lights twinkling behind us, and shared a quiet moment, the weight of the world fading away. It was here, amidst the shimmering reflection of the moon on the water, that Jimin gently took my hand, intertwining their fingers.

“I had a great time tonight,” he said softly, searching her eyes for a glimmer of shared feelings.

“Me too,” I replied, feeling a warm flush on rush onto my cheeks.

Maybe it was the magic of the night or the undeniable chemistry between us, but at that moment, I knew it was just the beginning of something beautiful. As our hands fit together perfectly, both realized that sometimes, the best date ideas come from the simplest moments shared in the heart of the city.
