Dating Yandere Robb Stark Would Include:
Tumblr media
His yandere traits are loyalty, devotion, possessiveness, and obsessive behavior. He is intensely loyal to the person he loves, he would do anything for you, he is very possessive and he does not like sharing his loved one with anyone, he is obsessed with you and he wants you to be with him all the time.
He is completely devoted to the one he's in love with and willing to do anything to ensure your safety and happiness. He will go to extreme and sometimes violent measures to protect you from any perceived threat or harm, even if it means eliminating those who stand in his way.
He may become obsessive, controlling, and even violent in his efforts to keep you all to himself. He may also exhibit a strong sense of loyalty and dedication to the person he's in love with, willing to do anything to ensure you are his even at the expense of his own well-being. He may be emotionally manipulative and even use physical violence to get what he wants, justifying it as being for the well-being of the one he loves.
He may also have a distorted sense of morality, seeing his actions as justified in order to achieve his desired outcome. He may also exhibit a desire for total control over you, believing that he knows what is best for you and being willing to do anything to ensure that you follow his plan, even against your will. He may be overly protective of the one he loves, wanting to shield you from the world and any possible harm or danger, to the point of limiting your freedom and autonomy.
He may also demonstrate a complete lack of empathy and a disregard for the feelings of others, perceiving everyone as competition for the affection and attention of the one he loves. He may become completely consumed by his obsession and resort to extreme measures such as murder, kidnapping, or imprisonment in order to protect or control you. In short, he is driven by a deep-seated love for the person he's in love with, but his actions may become irrational, even deranged at times, all in the name of protecting you and making you his.
He may also experience extreme levels of anger and anguish when you show any signs of rejecting him or showing interest in someone else. This can often lead to violent bouts of anger and sometimes even physical violence towards those who stand in the way of his love or the person he is in love with. He'll even feel the need to control and manipulate you in order to ensure your loyalty and devotion to him, even at the expense of your own agency and independence. In general, yandere have a very intense and unhealthy attachment to the object of their desire.
He has a deeply rooted fear of abandonment, causing him to become obsessive and irrational in trying to ensure that you never leave him. He tries to keep you close to him at all times. He may also demonstrate a lack of respect for boundaries and personal space, as he tries to assert his dominance over you. Furthermore, he may exhibit different extreme and unpredictable moods, ranging from extreme possessiveness and jealousy to intense feelings of love and adoration for his beloved.
He will become more possessive, possessive, and overbearing, with little regard for the feelings or desires of others the longer you are together. He may exhibit extreme paranoia, believing that others are trying to take you away from him, which can lead him to take drastic and violent measures to protect you. He may become extremely emotionally volatile, alternating between extreme love and rage, and even resort to stalking or kidnapping you. All of his actions are rooted in a twisted form of love and loyalty, with the aim of keeping you all to himself.
Most of what goes on in his head can often be difficult to control or express in a healthy manner. This can lead to feelings of sadness, anger, and even violence, as he struggles to cope with his emotions and express them in a healthy way. He'll become hyper-focus on the person he's in love with, making you his whole world and neglecting the needs of others.
He may have intense feelings of jealousy towards any person or thing that threatens to take the attention and affection he gets from you away from him. He may feel deeply insecure and threatened by the thought of you being with someone else, leading him to become possessive and even controlling in his attempts to ensure you remain focused on him. He may feel a deep sense of unease and anxiety when not with you, making it difficult to regulate his emotions and think clearly.
He may experience resistance to his actions and attempts of controlling you. Others may try to reason with him, appeal to his logic or emotions, or even resort to direct confrontation in an attempt to stop his actions. This resistance can be frustrating and difficult to manage, and it may lead him to lash out in anger or become more forceful and controlling to get what he wants.
He will be deeply passionate and affectionate with the person he loves. He'll express his affection through displays of physical affection, such as cuddling, hugging, and kissing. He'll attempt to show his affection through thoughtful gifts or gestures that demonstrate how much you mean to him. He'll also express his affection through constant attention and desire to be with you, always wanting to be close to you and wanting to spend time with you.
He'll have an exaggerated sense of entitlement towards the person he loves, feeling that you owe him your love and attention. This can lead him to exhibit manipulative and possessive behaviors, seeking to control and limit your interactions with others in an attempt to ensure your exclusivity to him. He may attempt to isolate you from your friends and family or act in a controlling manner to limit your access to other sources of support and social interaction. This excessive sense of entitlement and possessiveness can make it difficult for him to recognize your autonomy and right to your own feelings and life choices.
He may struggle with feelings of inferiority or insecurity, leading to a need for control and an excessive reliance on the person he loves for validation and reassurance. He'll become overly dependent on you for his sense of self-worth. His intense fear of abandonment or rejection can lead to emotionally manipulative behavior and controlling actions in an attempt to keep you close to him.
He could be prone to engaging in unhealthy and maladaptive behaviors that are destructive to himself and the person he loves. This could include self-harm, substance abuse, excessive spending, or other risky and self-sabotaging behavior. He becomes obsessed with his idea of the person he loves and struggles to accept or see you for who you really are. This could lead him to have unrealistic expectations, setting himself up for disappointment and further hurting himself and the person he loves. Ultimately, he will exhibit unhealthy and potentially harmful behaviors that are detrimental to his mental, emotional, and physical health
He may have difficulty forming healthy relationships with others, due to his extreme attachment and possessiveness towards you. He may find it difficult to trust others or let them get too close to him, for fear of them taking him away from you. This can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness and can be further exacerbated if the object of his love is unwilling or unable to reciprocate his feelings. This can lead to a vicious cycle of unhealthy behavior and emotions, further fueling his desire to control and possess the one he loves.
He'll exhibit stalker-like behavior, following and shadowing you. He will constantly keep tabs on your whereabouts and activities, trying to control and monitor your actions. He will become obsessed with understanding your thoughts and feelings, going to extreme lengths to gain access to your personal belongings or accounts. Even if you express a desire for privacy.
He'll experience intense feelings of anxiety and insecurity when separated from you. He will seek constant reassurance about the stability and security of your relationship and may not be able to function or make decisions without first consulting you. He may constantly fear that you are not as invested in your relationship as he is and may become overly suspicious of your motives and behaviors when you are not around. While this can sometimes be beneficial if it leads him to notice something that may be harmful to the relationship, it can also lead to accusations and suspicions that harm your emotional connection.
In the beginning, he may experience a distorted sense of reality and a warped understanding of what love is. He'll slowly use fear, manipulation, and even violence to control and possess you, believing that these actions are necessary for your safety and protection. He will use emotional blackmail and guilt-tripping to control you, conditioning you to accept and even feel happy or grateful for his controlling behavior. This can damage your sense of self and self-worth, as you are made to believe that your only value is in pleasing and providing for him.
Voyeurism: He enjoys seeing you in vulnerable and intimate moments, such as when you are changing clothes, using the bathroom, or sleeping. He seeks out opportunities to spy on these precious moments, either by installing cameras in private spaces or by trying to sneak a peek when you are not expecting it. The thrill of getting caught or discovered may also be enjoyable to him.
Dominance/Submission: He wants control over you and the power to make you submit to his will. He takes on a dominant role in your relationship and uses a range of tactics to control and manipulate you, he may also derive pleasure from seeing you in submissive positions, such as kneeling before him or taking on submissive roles in sexual acts. The sense of ownership and control over you can be immensely thrilling to him.
Sadism/Masochism: He may enjoy seeing you in pain or discomfort, either physically or emotionally. He may seek out opportunities to inflict pain or discomfort on you, in the form of hitting, beating, whipping, or even emotionally abusing or bullying them. The pleasure he gains from seeing your suffering can be erotic and arousing to him. He may also be willing to inflict pain or discomfort on himself, either because it feels good or because it helps him to express himself.
Bondage/Discipline: He may be turned on by the idea of physically restraining or disciplining his love. The sight of you in chains, ropes, or other restraints can be arousing and exciting to him.
Fear Play: He also enjoys seeing you experiencing fear or anxiety, such as when you are nervous or shy about something or when you are faced with a dangerous or uncertain situation. Seeing you in this state can make him feel powerful and in control of you, and the thought of protecting you from the fear or dangers of the world can make him feel possessive and dominant.

𝑺𝑭𝑾🌿
・Sansa specifically asked for the both of you to join her council right after her coronation
・Technically lowborn, your family had been loyal to House Stark for generations
・And when ... well when it all went to shit, you were forced to flee.
・For years you didn’t know what became of your family. But you did hold onto the knowledge that was passed down from generation to generation
・Not just about the physical world, but the spiritual, and the natural.
・Your family was initially so close to the Starks’ because of your usefulness, but over hundreds of years, your family proved their allegiance
・You grew up with the Stark children as your mother was a close companion of Cateyln’s (when she first came to Winterfell as a newlywed, she felt very lost. Your mother was the same age and showed her the ways of the North)
・Arya and Sansa were like sisters to you. But you were always caught in the middle of their bickering. You were the eldest of four siblings, having two other brothers and a younger sister. She was only a baby when Nedd Stark went to King’s Landing.
・It wasn’t easy, surviving all those years on your own. But you did it. You endured.
・After acquiring a job as a barmaid, you heard all the gossip and news the war
・You protected yourself with a hidden dagger underneath your skirts, and always wore a ring which held poison. Like a locket ring.
・In all honesty, no one fucked with you because of it. And your reputation grew.
・Women would come to you in the early hours of the morning, wanting an array of things. Herbs for birth control, poison for violent husbands, drafts to aid in sleep, ingredients to churn someone’s guts.
・Your boss didn’t mind at first, but he thought you were creating too much attention.
・But your boss’s wife liked you, and she helped you until one day a young Arya Stark trudged into the tavern with a tall scarred man.
・It didn’t take her long to recognise you, and within minutes she had knocked over a pitcher of ale and threw herself into your arms
・She demanded that you came with them, and the rest is history...
・The relationship between you and Sandor was rocky in the beginning. You thought he was too abrasive and harsh. Arya, already used to it, just shrugged her shoulders when you called him out on it
・Even though you knew his reputation, you didn’t care. You had packed your belongings and had your own set of weapons that could kill him.
・He knew that.
・And he was ... honestly impressed
・Arya loved the dynamic between you two. And although she would never admit it, she loved when you fussed over her - your big sister instincts kicking in.
・It took you a while to realise Sandor’s love languages. Arya had to point out when he was ‘being nice’.
・But you saw something in him that he didn’t see in himself. And you fell in love
・When Sansa asked you to be on her council, Sandor was really proud of you, but it took him a long time to accept his position. He didn’t think he was worthy of it.
・”We’ve all made mistakes,” Sansa told him one evening when the three of you were dining together. “You can atone by accepting my offer.”
・You don’t have an official title, as you dabble in many areas of Winterfell. But you’re the connection to the people, and also the natural world. An advisor, and Maester in training.
・Sandor’s official title is, ‘Master-at-Arms’ / ‘Commander’. He’s responsible for training soldiers, giving military advice and choosing the guards of Winterfell.
・Sansa also has a council of Bannermen, who are present when very important decisions are made. (Sandor hates nearly every single one of them.)
・You were going to have a little cottage somewhere warmer (because Sandor doesn’t like the cold), but the position was ... too perfect. Being with Sansa, living in Winterfell, it was home.
・If Sansa travels to King’s Landing, she wants you and Sandor to come with her. She feels safe when the pair of you are around her. Sansa has PTSD (although not known as that), and can get triggered when men get too physically close.
・You’ve taught Sansa about herbs, plants, poisions and cures. The old Sansa never listened, thought it was too boring. But now, she listens intently, and has endless questions.
・Sansa offered to rebuild your family home, but it hurt too much. Until ... two years later, when your youngest brother and sister found their way back home.
・Sandor was unsure of this reunion. He wanted to make sure they were who they said they were.
・But you knew.
・Yes, in your gut you knew. But your brother and sister had specific birth marks and physical oddities which set them aside since birth.
・Arya travelled back to Winterfell when she found out, as did Jon Snow. Even though he was labelled a bastard during your childhoods, your family was still lowborn as well.
・So on numerous occassions, your family had invited Jon Snow to sup with them.
・Sandor didn’t think his life would be like this. He didn’t think he would make it this far or that he deserved the love you gave him.
・And when your siblings came along, they too grew love for Sandor. He offered to train both your siblings (because he thought both men and women should know how to defend themsleves).
・You slowly found out the horrors that your siblings endured, and at nights you cried to Sandor.
・You became a family again.
・And like the generations before you, your family was once again faithful to the ruler in the North.

OPERATION ICEBERG: THE TIER LIST
Tumblr media
THEORY:
Olyver Frey is Rosby's ward
TIER:
50/50: These theories are complete toss-ups.
[Tier list overview]
EVIDENCE:
What is the theory?
Lord Gyles Rosby had no immediate heir when he died in A Feast for Crows.
Gyles Rosby's ward is a young man residing at Castle Rosby, located in the crownlands.
Presumably, Gyles wanted his lands and castle to go to this ward.
Cersei Lannister prefers to seize the lands and give them to an ally as a reward. She doesn't seem worried that the ward will cause any issues.
The inheritance is still in question by the end of A Dance with Dragons. Kevan Lannister, Hand of the King, dies before any resolution.
"Is there aught else?" The Grand Maester consulted his papers. "We should address the Rosby inheritance. Six claims have been put forth—" "We can settle Rosby at some later date. What else?" - Epilogue, ADWD
The author has deliberately not revealed the ward's name; many in the fandom believe it's Olyvar Frey.
Who is Olyvar Frey?
Born in 281 AC, Olyvar Frey is a member of House Frey.
He is the eighteenth son of Lord Walder Frey, and the fourth born to his sixth wife, Bethany Rosby.
Robb Stark took Olyvar as a squire, a role in which he excelled.
"You have done House Frey a grievous insult, Robb." "I never meant to. Ser Stevron died for me, and Olyvar was as loyal a squire as any king could want. [...]" - Catelyn II, ASOS
x
"I'd hoped to ask Olyvar to squire for me when we march north," said Robb, "but I do not see him here. Would he be at the other feast?" - Catelyn VII, ASOS
Olyvar Frey was notably loyal to Robb Stark; he expressed a desire to stay with Robb even after he married Jeyne Westerling, and was not present at the Red Wedding. He is considered a Good Frey™.
"You have done House Frey a grievous insult, Robb." "I never meant to. Ser Stevron died for me, and Olyvar was as loyal a squire as any king could want. He asked to stay with me, but Ser Ryman took him with the rest. All their strength. The Greatjon urged me to attack them . . ." - Catelyn II, ASOS
x
Lady Westerling had remained at Riverrun with her children; Jeyne, her little sister Eleyna, and young Rollam, Robb's squire, who complained bitterly about being left. Yet that was wise as well. Olyvar Frey had squired for Robb previously, and would doubtless be present for his sister's wedding; to parade his replacement before him would be as unwise as it was unkind. - Catelyn V, ASOS
x
"I'd hoped to ask Olyvar to squire for me when we march north," said Robb, "but I do not see him here. Would he be at the other feast?" "Olyvar?" Ser Ryman shook his head. "No. Not Olyvar. Gone . . . gone from the castles. Duty." - Catelyn VII, ASOS
x
Olyvar Frey had been devoted to her son as well. Hadn't Robb said that Olyvar wanted to remain with him even after he'd married Jeyne? - Catelyn VII, ASOS
What is a Good Frey™?
A Good Frey™ is a member of House Frey who isn't entirely reprehensible. Believe it or not, there are members of House Frey who are actually good, although the author makes it challenging to distinguish who they are.
Other members of Good Frey™ include:
Roslin Frey, the wife of Edmure Tully and the sister of Olyvar Frey.
"And Lady Roslin was distracting you." "She . . . they made her do it, Lord Walder and the rest. Roslin never wanted . . . she wept, but I thought it was . . ." - Jaime VI, AFFC
Perwyn Frey, personal escort to Catelyn Stark, member of Robb Stark's personal guard, and older brother of Olyvar and Roslin Frey.
"Well met, sers. Is Ser Perwyn about? He helped escort me to Storm's End and back, when Robb sent me to speak with Lord Renly. I was looking forward to seeing him again." "Perwyn is away," Lame Lothar said. "I shall give him your regards. I know he will regret having missed you." "Surely he will return in time for Lady Roslin's wedding?" "He had hoped to," said Lame Lothar, "but with this rain . . . you saw how the rivers ran, my lady." - Catelyn VI, ASOS
x
"You were speaking of the Freys you wanted dead. Ryman, Edwyn, Emmon . . ." "And Walder Rivers," Daven said, "that whoreson. Hates that he's a bastard, and hates everyone who's not. Ser Perwyn seems a decent fellow, though, might as well spare him. The women too. [...]" - Jaime V, AFFC
Willamen Frey, a maester of the Citadel and the brother of Olyvar, Roslin, and Perwyn Frey. He seems to be minding his own business.
I'm sure there are other Good Freys™ hiding about, but for whatever reason, George seems rather fond of this specific Frey family. Good job, Bethany Rosby.
Why do we suspect Rosby's ward might be Olyvar Frey?
Olyvar is related to Gyles Rosby through his mother, Bethany Rosby.
Some of Olyvar's relatives, like Merrett Frey and Geremy Frey's children, have been fostered with maternal families.
Olyvar's older brothers are either dead, knighted, or serving as maesters, making him the logical choice.
The maester at Rosby, Melwys Rivers, is a bastard son of Lord Walder Frey.
Olyvar was sent away on "duty" before the Red Wedding, which could be both an excuse and a legitimate reason for his absence.
Do we know anything else about the Rosby ward?
Rosby's ward refused to offer hospitality to House Stokeworth.
"Uncomfortable," complained Falyse. "It rained most of the day. We thought to spend the night at Rosby, but that young ward of Lord Gyles refused us hospitality." - Cersei V, AFFC
Why it might be Olyvar: As a Robb Stark loyalist, Olyvar Frey may be unwelcoming to friends of House Lannister.
Why it might not be Olyvar: One doesn't need to be a Stark loyalist to avoid hosting Falyse Stokeworth in their castle.
He's an "ill-born wretch."
She sniffed. "Mark my word, when Gyles dies that ill-born wretch will make off with his gold. He may even try and claim the lands and lordship, though by rights Rosby should come to us when Gyles passes. My lady mother was aunt to his second wife, third cousin to Gyles himself." - Cersei V, AFFC
Why it might be Olyvar: Despite Olyvar being a legitimate child of Walder Frey, and House Frey's power and prominence, the house has a low reputation in Westeros.
Why it might not be Olyvar: "Ill-born" could mean lowborn or illegitimate.
He's not of Gyles Rosby's blood.
"No children of his body, but there is a ward . . ." ". . . not of his blood." - Cersei IX, AFFC
Why it might be Olyvar: Olyvar is not a direct descendant of Gyles Rosby.
Why it might not be Olyvar: Olyvar has Rosby blood through his mother.
Is there anything else to consider?
Not Olyvar: Olyvar would not be the first in line to inherit Rosby; legally, his older brother Perwyn should come before him.
Yes Olyvar: The author may eliminate around 30 Freys from the line of succession, possibly saving Perwyn, Good Frey™, for a larger castle that sits on the Green Fork.
If it's not Olyvar Frey, who the hell is it?
STUMPY'S THOUGHTS:

Modern Rockstar x Popstar AU
the first three pictures are from immediately after it became public that Theon and Sansa were dating. Sansa had just released her second album Venus + Neptune just a year after her self-titled debut album, the album was a love letter to her relationship with Theon. Theon is the lead guitarist in the band, Neptunes Wolves, his band mates are Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Gendry Storm. They were on the second year of their tour for their debut album “Valyrian Ice”. It was revealed in the second month of her tour that she had married Theon in secret. She and Theon were often seen at each others concerts and she would sometimes have Theon as a guitarist for her shows. They were 20 and 23 when they married.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last three photos are from Sansa’s third album “A Lady’s Desire” and Neptune’s Wolves second album “under a weirwood”. Sansa had just given birth to her first child, a boy named Florian and at first faced backlash since people thought she wasn’t being a present mother and Theon took to twitter and told everybody off saying that they were idiots because he was on tour as well and nobody was calling him an absent father, he as basically just telling everybody that they were idiots for their double standards. A Lady’s Desire had several songs about familial love, the lead single being a heart wrenching ballad called “Words Aren’t Enough”, a song Sansa wrote entirely by herself about how there were no words, analogies, or literary allusions to describe the love that Sansa felt for her little family. She also had a song about how hard it was to move on from the life she lived in high school, since she doesn’t live in her hometown and she lost contact with her friends it was titled “Only in my Heart”. Sansa used all of the money earned from the first show of every month from Lady’s tour to fund a charity she started for single mothers and fathers. “under a weirwood” included five songs that were written by each member of the band for their son/nephew/baby that they somehow know. Theon’s song was called “hush little wolf”. At the end of the Lady’s tour she revealed that she is pregnant with her second child, another boy that they named Callahan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I based Sansa on Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter, Theon is based visually on Ross Lynch but sound wise I was thinking Maneskin for Neptune’s wolves

what do you think of this post. i think people should ship what they want but this fandom cannot stand opinions that differ from theirs.
https://www.tumblr.com/livinginafantasysposts/726238416723935233
Going to the link you provided, the original author (lagosbratzdoll) is criticizing the JacexSara Snow ship for the shipper's racism:
They say it'll [including Sara Snow in the show] deepen Jace’s character and make him “interesting”, whatever that means. The problem with this assertion is that Jace is already plenty interesting, he led the war councils while his mother grieved, and he recruited the blacks' most important allies. Allies who remained steadfast even after his mother's and his own demise. Furthermore, Jace has existing relationships in his life that the show could explore to delve into his connection with bastardy. Three of whom are canonically Black, by the way. So, the question arises: what unique perspective or insight can Sara Snow provide to Jace's struggle with his bastard status that Nettles, Addam, and Alyn cannot?
When the OP asked what made Sara so enticing or "interesting", more than Nettles and the other dragonseeed as well as Baela, there was no salient answer in the comments. Or there were just denials. And OP has made points. Including this:
but now you cannot go five minutes in Jace or Baela’s tag without seeing someone wish they'd include Sara Snow in the show.
You: "i think people should ship what they want but this fandom cannot stand opinions that differ from theirs."
My questions to you, anon are:
What is with people trying to overwhelm and disrupt the hype shippers have for Baela and Jace in particular?
With these two supposed to be betrothed to each other in canon and continue to be so in the show, why is it that there is a change in how people see Sara Snow and Jace and Baela after we see the Velaryons and dragon twins' actors are Black?
Why is it that there is such an overwhelming intercession on the online JacexBaela shipping from JacexSara shippers as opposed to ships with white/white-adjacent couples?
Why is it that with such stronger evidence for Jace and Baela being romantic over Sara's very existence much less the ship, that the Sara Snow x Jace ship is as popular as it is?
Sara Snow is a character, in F&B, who Mushroom brings in to add intrigue, and he was never there to witness such a thing happening, so how could he know about this girl and witnessed Jace fall for her?! And the other thing is the implications of Sara Snow being Jace's "Jeyne Westerling". Unlike Robb Stark & Jeyne, Jace & Sara are presented by Mushroom and real shippers as true and closely-bonded lovers. Robb married Jeyne because he wanted to honor her and not have bastards. It was not lovey-dovey. Narratively, Baela was so dedicated to Jace (and just fierce all on her own) that she wanted to stay and fight with him at Dragonstone or follow him. For all the desire for a couple who desires and is devoted to each other, it's funny how Sara x Jace shippers aren't impressed enough with Baela. So shippers of Sara and Jace are going off of pure conjecture and desire more than other ships/shippers. This would be fine, if not for the change in actors coming with a higher support for a character that doesn't seem to exist.
Before HotD aired with its black Velaryons and dragon twins (and I've looked around at dates) there was very little hype for Sara Snow even as a person, bc there was literally no evidence--not even suggestive--for her existence besides Mushroom's unsupported say-so AND it was understood that Jace wouldn't even endanger his family and himself or hurt Baela by endangering their Velaryon alliance. Especially when his brother dies and there is no heir to Driftmark aside from Joff (a whittling-down of heirs). The blacks needed the Velaryons even after Rhaneyra dies (Alyn and Daenaera)!
It is totally antithetical to Jace's needs short-term and long-term needs to set aside his betrothal to Baela.
We have to remember that he and his two brothers have been suspected as bastards and likely treated accordingly if people could get away with it. For more than 10 years! Rhaenyra had to essentially flee to Dragonstone to get away and provide a quieter, freer life for herself and her family as well as actively "practice" and get in the groove for ruling. He would be anxious to prove how he is fit to follow his mother after she dies and rule Westeros. And like Jon/unlike Robb Stark, bc of that niggling bastardry claim, he would be more motivated to not have bastards of his own or do possibly introduce an innocent, less-able-to-take-care-of herself-girl into an incoming war. (Jenny of Oldstones doesn't count bc she was proven real through her interactions with courtiers, Prince Duncan's parent was not female and set against, his parent was not usurped, there was no war, nor was Duncannever suspected a bastard. He could afford it).
I mean, it's supported by what Jace says here ("The Blacks and the Greens"):
Tumblr media
He has lived physically and emotionally close to Baela all his life, and considering this need to consolidate power as well as his contracting his trust towards mostly family, it's not likely that he just trusts any person he isn't likely to get aid from. Cregan Stark was the lord and liable to help Rhaneyra bc he just imprisoned and ousted his uncle to get his Winterfell seat. Supporting Rhaenyra helps him, and this lubed them both up for a closer bond.
It is way more likely that Jace, rather than show!Aemond, was the devoted son trying to actually help and protect his family by reading "philosophies" and presenting himself as a capable ruler. I think that it is dumb of the writers to then flip this show of loyalty to one's family into Aemond using it to show disloyalty to his own and not emphasize Jacaerys' own development. Aemond even left his mother, sister, and brother all to basically fend for themselves in two opportunities to join Daeron or fly to KL and fight Rhaenyra, Daemon, or any black who he would happen to see. Even though he was the one to order Criston Cole to march their army to KL so he could also confront the blacks. He specifically states that going south to Daeron and grouping up was "craven" and cowardly! In this one way, Aemond is Jace's foil and it emphasizes Jace's loyalty and devotion and Aemond's self-serving ambition, even though both have that desire to show their military worth. One works for unity, the other for individual glory and disunity. Jace ios the one to actively came up with effective plans and arrangements for the blacks, as OP stated. It shows his intelligence, care, and concern for protecting his family as well as his mindfulness towards bastardy. We're supposed to see the irony of this suspected bastard using the bastard phobia made against him for their own benefit. (Even though there were two traitors, Rhaenyra still depended on these dragon riders to intimidate/fight against any would-be greens and their armies. One of which is responsible [Addam Velaryon/of Hull] for at least pushing back Daeron and Lord Hightower's forces even with his own death. This event more showed how deep in paranoia & blood purist Rhaenyra was, not how dumb or incompetent Jace was.)
And Baela is not a bad person, merely self-confident and a Targ. Show!Baela is Black, and there has been no standoffishness towards her book character before the show besides the usual misogyny towards self-confident girls and Targ women. She has done nothing wrong to anyone, and has only displayed bravery until presumedly the day she died and set aside by history.
So from my standpoint, it looks like the motivation behind thinking Baela x Jace as less appealing or "interesting" than Jace x Sara is that Jace x Sara can undermine his relationship with Baela, his ties to the Velaryons and their alliance, and separate Jace's devotion to his family and reduce any tie to his Targ identity. This is definitely not what this character would likely be drawn in by if he ever did meet a Sara Snow who he might be at least sexually attracted to.
Just as making Rhaenyra not want to imprison Otto bc of a damned page from a woman who tried to get said sons killed, Jacaerys allowing himself to not only marry someone other than his betrothed siphons out his intelligence, unique sense of self-assertiveness and responsibility.
Other Ships I Wish Were Not as Shipped Exist, Why, and are Really the TV Shows' Faults
See, I talk about people saying one shouldn't ship ANYTHING in ASoIaF/GoT/HotD/Fire & Blood HERE, where I argue that shipping is people presenting political and social taboo/dynamics, i,e, a particular narrative they are fascinated with.
It's not just about what one thinks should be reality. However, for some people, it is and some ships gather more…bigoted people than other ships. Rhaenicent is one of those ships. There are some genuinely good or at least self-aware Rhaenicent shippers, but the most vocal ones tend to be misogynist and think themselves feminists when they are actually saying that Rhaenyra should grant Alicent all sorts of graces and expect nothing in return bc Alicent is a feminine goddess who looks out for "the realm". Some call her "mannish" or the "man" of the relationship. Most are tradcaths and transphobic (Emma D'Arcy). Most hate Targs and Valyrian customs, esp citing their hatred against incest…meanwhile, their own ship is incestuous, and even the Faith they admire and see their Catholism in at one time had a High Septon vocally denounce a Hightower lord marrying and having a relationship with his dead father's wife, his own stepmother--Samnatha Tarly. On the specific claim of incest. Later, when this Septon died, they were finally allowed to marry by the next one--their influence had grown enough or stayed its Hightower self, assumedly, as well over the years.
Jonsa is another ship that mostly has misogynists and praisers of "soft femininity". Sansa becomes a totally different creature in their eyes, and Arya also gets interpreted as "mannish", even having "internalized misogyny" for not being as "girly" as Sansa. Jon, like Rhaenyra, is also totally reduced and recharacterization to make Sansa this higher kind of feminine goddess through the chivalric narrative canon!Sansa is actually growing out of bc it has led to her many losses, including her own innocence! Jon doesn't even like (as in attracted to) "girly" girls who cannot even attempt to physically defend themselves! His favorite sister is Arya and Sansa has dismissed him for his bastardry several times! Because they think he will become some sort of great leader, even King Beyond the Wall, and Sansa will be Queen in the North or some jazz, they believe that this version of "Jon" as a "knight" is perfect for their "delicate princess" Sansa.
Daemon x Nettles
I'm a Daemyra shipper and I do not think Daemon x Nettles is either a canon or good ship in of itself, and the material in F&B that wants us to think they were sexual or romantic uses misogynist and classism to present Nettles as Daemon's lover AS WELL AS not his lover. But always it's logic that is against Nettles' true, brave heart, and Daemon's fidelity to Rhaenyra, despite him choosing to die for her instead of just leaving Rhaenyra behind and vocalizing hatred toward Mysaria's for deceiving her. And though it is not my passionate ship like the Daemyra one, I definitely think Jace x Baela makes way more sense than Jace x Sara Snow. And Nettles doesn't need to "steal" Rhaneyra's man to actually dominate Rhaneyra for her blood purity or to be an impressive girl, and this would not be a healthy relationship (she was 17, Daemon 49-50). If they seriously consider grooming wrong and believe Daemon groomed Nettles, then they shouldn't enthusiastically ship Nettles with Daemon.
Conclusion
Some ships just do not make sense or are totally antithetical to the arcs and personalities of the original characters. They are more making wish-fulfillment fanons struggling to be canon so they can generate antipathy against those shippers/characters/storylines that should really be appreciated for the nuance they provide. Instead of vacuuming out nuance to replace them with fairytale, bigoted, and flat narratives. And so they should be put into skeptical investigation instead of just flat-out "accepted", like how some artists have purposefully drawn the dragon twins out of their family portraiture of the blacks.
EDIT (8/22/23)
It's also funny how--with the examples of other ships--when it's something race-related or when some people in the fandom want to protest against such intrusions and the subsequent denials of intrusions it tends to be about certain PoC or interracial ships. AND that it defaults as "everyone has the right to ship/draw/etc however they want!" when someone brings up race more than ships with gender or sexuality or class switching. Hm...

#i would say the ‘stark thing’ here is that their bastards just aren’t required to have a job? they’re allowed to just live there.#whereas a lot of other bastards have to Have A Point#and also yeah the mormonts are a vastly different situation and tbh idk if that is just a ‘haha those mormont women are crazy’ in that they#make allowances for mormont women Specifically bc of the frequency of both wildling raids and iron raiders.#or whether the concept of your children being fathered by an animal to remove the ~taint of bastardry~ is something that IS sometimes used#throughout the north. but regardless when it’s invoked by both Maege and Alysane it’s just accepted & none of those girls are treated as#bastards. which is different from winterfell where like sara brandon jon etc are all named bastards.#like alys has a job. brynden has a job. falia has a job. even mya & gendry all have to just Get A Job.#whereas it seems there’s a chance stark bastards in general are afforded an actual childhood the way most bastards#(like all low born people) have to exist in the world With A Reason. which means they are frequently out of sight out of mind. (@atopvisenyashill)
yeah, with respect to op, idt jon's situation can be compared to the mormont girls being actual legit heirs or poor falia flowers working as a servant to her stepmother and half-sisters. like for her to enjoy euron humiliating them like that implies some very fucked-up cinderella circumstances giving her that level of resentment towards them. a noble's bastard being raised in the family seat may not be unheard of but being raised alongside the trueborn heirs as an almost-but-never-truly equal, esp in jon's case as a bastard born of adultery living with the lady wife (supposedly) cheated on in his conception and living there against her will, that could be considered special circumstances of a surprising nature. we don't know enough about these other stark bastards or those from other families, to know how many of them were sired during their father's marriage or grew up with a living stepmother. we do have examples of a few definitely born through adultery and raised away from their father like edric at storm's end, larence snow fostered with the neighboring glovers, and alyn and addam of hull being completely hidden while their father's wife was still alive. others in the main series whose circumstances we do know include ramsay snow, raised away from the dreadfort but moved into the household before roose married walda, and fathered years before roose met walda, and ronald storm, sired by an unmarried knight and raised in his castle while his father is still single.
(@atopvisenyashill) #i mean ffs if he had been telling jon & robb the whole time they are growing up ‘one day jon will raise castles in your name in the gift’#maybe catelyn would have been like ‘he’s old enough you need to give him his own fucking household Somewhere Else’ once ned goes south#and i do bet most other stark bastards had that expiration date similar to a younger son. of like ‘When You’re Grown You’ll Have A Job’#but jon doesn’t get that reassurance bc ned just fundamentally refuses to engage with jon on a practical level.
ia, and this failure is even more glaring when you consider that ned went to war again in jon's lifetime and could very well have died doing so. jon and robb were 5 at most during the greyjoy rebellion. if ned had died fighting then, robb couldn't keep his brother around no matter how much he wanted to. he'd be a child lord even younger than bran was in clash, cat would be his regent, and she could send jon wherever the hell she wanted. that's why it would have behooved ned to have a back-up plan if he wasn't able to be around to personally look after jon. it seems like his only plan was for robb to keep looking after jon after he came into power and find some place for all his brothers as adults, never reckoning with the possibility that robb could become lord before he grew up, which indeed happened. but that's the rebellion ptsd keeping ned from dealing with the future for all his kids and the future's worst possibilities, (despite all his "our 3yo must man up bc winter is coming" bs), and the burden of his buried promise to lyanna making him unable to trust anyone else with jon's fate except a hypothetical adult robb.
Jon Snow's Living Situation in ASOIAF
A lot of people take for granted that it was "unusual" for Jon Snow to be raised at Winterfell, so I tried to gather information on as many natural born children mentioned in ASOIAF and related materials to see if that was true.
And it seems not to be, even in the South (outside of Dorne, even). The children born out of wedlock to highborn parents seem to be kept with them or nearby.
This is admittedly a small sample size (around 80 characters, and I didn't go too deep into it so I'm missing at least some), but it's not like this is real history, and the fact that Jon's situation is not unusual seeming from what we're shown in the books just adds to the idea that people's impressions of what is normal are not the truth of what is normal.
Northern Bastards that lived/probably lived with their families (other than Jon himself):
Brandon Snow (Torrhen Stark’s brother, most likely lived at Winterfell)
Sara Snow (Rickon Stark’s daughter during the Dance, if she existed definitely lived at Winterfell)
Dacey, Alysane, Lyra, Jorelle, and Lyanna Mormont (Maege Mormont’s daughters, father(s) unknown and most likely not married to Maege)
Denys Snow (Bastard of Barrowtown, bastard of House Dustin)
Lonnel Snow (Son of Brandon Stark from Daeron II’s reign, possibly the origin of House Cassel)
Timothy Snow (the Bastard of Flint’s Finger, presumably lived with his Flint relatives)
Northern Bastards who were acknowledged and fostered elsewhere in the North:
Larence Snow (Halys Hornwood’s son, fostered with the Glovers)
Other Bastards who seem to have lived with/near their families:
Addison Hill (Bastard of Cornfield during the Conquest)
Alys River (House Strong, a wet nurse at Harrenhal)
Aurane Waters (Bastard of Driftmark, Lord Monford Velaryon’s brother)
Bastard of Blackhaven (House Dondarrion during the conquest)
Bastard of Harrenhal (House Lothston during Daeron II’s reign)
Bryden Rivers (Bloodraven), Gwenys Rivers, Mya Rivers
Cedrik Storm (Bastard of Bronzegate, House Buckler bastard, fought Barristan Selmy)
Daemon Sand (Bastard of Godsgrace, son of Ryon Allyrion)
Daemon Waters (aka Daemon Blackfyre, son of Princess Daena and Aegon IV)
Falia Flowers (daughter of Humfrey Hewitt, though made a servant)
Joy Hill (Gerion Lannister’s daughter)
Lynora Hill (daughter of Ser Jason Lannister, works at Casterly Rock)
Obara Sand, Nymeria Sand, Tyene Sand, Sarella Sand, Elia Sand, Obella Sand, Dorea Sand, and Loreza Sand (the Sand Snakes)
Orys Baratheon (rumored bastard of Aerion Targaryen)
Red Robb Rivers (the Bowman of Raventree, bastard of House Blackwood)
Rolland Storm (Bastard of Nightsong, House Caron)
Ronald Storm (son of Ser Ronnet Connington)
Ronard Storm (House Durrandon, usurped his brother King Morden II)
Tom Flowers (Bastard of Bitterbridge, from House Caswell during the Dance)
Tyler Hill (Bastard of Lannisport, son of Lord Lyman during Maegor’s reign)
Tyrion Tanner (Lollys Stokeworth’s son)
Walda Rivers (great-granddaughter of Walder Frey)
Walder Rivers (Walder Frey’s oldest bastard son)
Walys (Maester at Winterfell under Rickard Stark, while becoming a Maester might normally be seen as sending the child away, he was the son of a Hightower and an Archmaester)
Wex Pyke (son of Sargon Botley)
(I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume if someone is called “Bastard of [seat of their family]” that they lived with their family, as Jon Snow is the “Bastard of Winterfell”)
Other Bastards who possibly lived with their families (at least for a time)
Blackshield (Bastard of Uplands, possibly of House Mullendore)
Ellaria Sand (daughter of Harmen Uller)
Garrett and Garse Flowers (Mace Tyrell’s first cousins, presumably lived with their father)
Harry Rivers (Bastard of Bracken, son of Lord Jonos Bracken)
Shiera Seastar (daughter of Aegon IV, not really confirmed where she lived her early years I don't think, though most likely in King’s Landing)
Bastards definitely not raised at home:
Aegor Rivers (Bittersteel, would have been raised in King’s Landing but Daeron and Aemon forced Aegon to send him away)
Cotter Pyke (Night’s Watch member, most likely did not live with his highborn relatives)
Edric Storm (Robert Baratheon’s son, technically was raised at his family’s seat in Storm’s End, but not at the Red Keep)
Gendry Waters (Robert Baratheon’s son)
Mya Stone (Robert Baratheon’s daughter)
All the rest of Robert Baratheon's kids
Notable bastards whose situations are not at all comparable to Jon’s:
Ramsey Snow (Roose Bolton’s son, a product of a First Night rape)
Benedict I Justman (a Blackwood/Bracken mix, so basically an abomination in the eyes of the gods lol)
Addam and Alyn Velaryon (Lord Corlys Velaryon’s probable sons, most likely purposefully hidden)
Franklyn Flowers (mother was a small folk raped by Fossoways of Cider Hall)
Glendon Flowers (could not prove parentage, claimed to be Quentyn Ball’s son with a camp follower)
Jayne and Jon Waters (Alyn Velyaron and Elaena Targaryen’s children, Alyn died when they were young but had planned to marry Elaena)
Joffrey, Tommen, and Myrcella (obviously)
All of Lyonel Hightower and Samantha Tarly’s children (weren’t allowed to marry, but had children anyway)
Named bastards we don’t have enough information on:
Addam Rivers (briefly a river king)
Humfrey Waters (Commander of the City Watch)
Jafer Flowers (Night’s Watch member)
Mervyn Flowers (King Aegon III KG)
Robert Flowers (former LC of the KG)
Robin Hill (former LC of NW)
Ser Samuel Stone (Runestone master-at-arms)
Tristan Rivers (Golden Company)

Growing up with and dating Robb Stark would include Part 3
(This won’t follow the correct storyline of the show)
(Requests are open so just look at my profile to see what I wrote for and send requests if you want to)
Part 1
Part 2
Tumblr media
-You could sense a new feeling of hope once the army had gained a hostage that mattered to the opposing side alongside the fact that Robb’s army had no lost a battle yet. Any Lords that doubted Robb’s ability to act as the leader of an army had soon turned around their opinions as your husband continuously demonstrated signs of great warlike strategy. Battle after battle led to more and more hostages being taken and the army getting closer and closer to Kings landing.
As Robb’s wife, you had clearance to sit in and listen to the war meetings held daily by Robb and his fellow bannermen but they sometimes went on for the full day and you understood next to none of what they were saying so you spent time with either Catelyn or your personal handmaiden, Johanna, that refused to stay in Winterfell and followed you into the middle of nowhere.
-On this current day you found yourself chatting with Johanna about a young soldier who had stolen her eye when a young boy that the army used as a spy and messenger ran up to you with a letter in his hand. The seal had already been broken so you knew that someone had already read it and as you opened it yourself you immediately knew who had.
You murmured a quick apology to Johanna before running as fast as you could to the other side of the camp where yours and Robb’s tent lay. The messenger boy stopped you, however, before you made it a few steps and pointed in the direction of the woods that stood to the East of the camp. With a small smile thrown his way you hurriedly changed course and slipped across the mud, trying to make it to your husband as fast as possible.
Walking through the camp led to a few soldiers giving you sympathetic looks. Word must spread fast in a camp as closely knit as this one. You felt tears started to well up in your eyes but you kept your head up high. You needed to stay strong for your husband and for the men that were looking at you in the absence of your husband. You needed to be strong. It was just too unreal to be true.
Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Wardon of the North was dead.
-As you get closer to the treeline you can hear Robb from within. You pause and stand beside the first few trees to catch your breath. You had just found out that your husbands’ father had died and trying to walk to Robb gasping for breath would not help you comforting him. You had never seen Robb fully upset, you never had a reason to, so nervousness built inside of you as you walked closer to where Robb currently was. You had no idea how he would react to being disturbed but you were wife and to hell with him if he wanted you to leave him alone when he was this vulnerable.
-You walked past a close cluster of trees into a small clearing where you found Robb, sword in hand, violently attacking a tree. You moved to your left, so you were in his peripheral vision and he was aware that you were there and slowly started to walk towards him. He didn’t stop hitting the tree which caused you to stop a couple metres from his person. He took a few more swings at the tree before throwing his sword on the ground and turning towards you.
You stared at each other for a few seconds. You could tell him a never-ending speech about how sorry you are, but you know that wouldn’t help in the slightest. He knew that you were close to his father also and so you simply walked up to him and put your arms around him. He stood completely still for a fraction of a second before grabbing onto you and putting his head into your neck. It only took a few more seconds for him to start crying.
Over the course of knowing Robb you had never seen him cry, yet alone break apart in front of you like he was now, and it terrified you. All you could do in that moment was wrap your arms tightly around him to assure him that you were still beside him. You stayed like that for a couple of minutes. The both of you standing there, silently mourning a father figure to the both of you and assuring yourselves that you were both there.
Robb straightened up which caused you to release him and turn to look behind you and your face dropped even lower. You turned back to Robb, gave him a small smile and squeezed his hand before walking over to his mother who was watching the both of you with a smile on her face. Robb gave you a small smile back before you walked over to your mother in law, hugged her and walked back towards the camp. You wanted to be there for your husband but at the same time you knew that the person who could comfort him the most was his mother. You wiped away the singular tear that fell before heading back to your tent.
-The next few days were tense. The army had lost its spirit and its main cause for fighting. They trudged between the tents like the dead and the gleam and fire in their eyes was gone. Your husband still fought on though. In the presence of his soldiers, he couldn’t show any weakness for fear of even more doubt spreading through the camp and so the only true Robb you saw was in private and even then, talk was hardly exchanged. You could see the fight slowly leaving him also and with no word yet to be heard about Arya or Sansa you could understand why.
-The men had decided to throw a little party of sorts to try and lighten everybody’s spirits. Sure, it was just a group of men drinking together but it would have been one of the best things they’ve done since leaving their homes to fight this war.
Everyone was laughing and joking together as the night was young. Even Robb let loose and drank and smiled with his friends, just the sight of his smile gave you hopes for the future you both had together but as the night grew older the talk, as it always did, turned to more serious topics and debates.
-The men were planning their course of action on who to team up with against the Lannister’s-Stannis or Renly. You knew that Stannis was the legitimate heir to the throne and yet rumours had started to spread into your camp at how Stannis ruled his followers with a red woman beside him who worshipped the ‘lord of light’. Renly was nice enough, apparently, but had only seen wealth and comfort with slaves answering to his every will, not to mention that he was the younger sibling. This debate was what Robb’s men were arguing about.
-The men were saying that Robb’s armies should pledge fealty to Renly and yet Robb voiced your opinions about the problems that came with us supporting Renly. This left the army with a dilemma. The army didn’t want to side with Renly or Stannis and Joffrey was an obvious decision to avoid so the men were starting to get restless.
“My lords” Lord Umber made his presence known by standing up and walking to the centre of the group.
“Here is what I say to these two Kings” He said before spitting on the ground. You playfully rolled your eyes at his stereotypical behaviour but smiled none the less.
“Renly Baratheon is nothing to me, nor Stannis neither” From the corner of your eye you saw Robb straighten. You understood his curiosity on what Lord Umber was going to say next.
“Why should they rule over me and mine from some flowery seat in the South? Even their Gods are wrong” and laughter rose from the people surrounding him. You leaned forward slightly in your chair, not entirely sure where this point was going to end up.
“It was the dragons we bowed to and now the dragons are dead” He pull his sword from its sheath, the noise of metal slicing through the air, before pointing it at Robb.
“There sits the only King I mean to bend my knee to. The King in the North”. Voices broke out around the camp as your eyebrows raised considerably. You didn’t know a lot about Northern history, that is true, but you knew that there hadn’t been a King in the North for centuries.
Beside you, Robb stood up and looked, almost challengingly, into the crowd that had grown suddenly quiet.
“Ill have peace on those terms” Another bannerman stood up to agree.
“They can keep their red castle and their iron chair too. The King in the North” From beside you you felt Catelyn tense up. You could see where this was leading to and you could tell that it frightened her as much as it did you.
You turned to your left to see Theon approach Robb.
“Am I your brother, now and always ?” He asked your husband to which he responded “Now and always” and Theon joined the first two men at Robb’s feet.
Lord Umber shouted from his kneeling position “The King in the North” and the night was filled with the responding shouts of every man at the scene. Swords were taken from their sheaths and everyone bowed down towards your husband as they crowned him the first King in the North in centuries.
He slowly looked around at all of them before turning to look at you and holding out his hand to you. You realised with a jolt that if he was King in the North, you were his Queen. You turned to Catelyn with worry and nervousness but she simply took your hand and smiled before gesturing back to Robb. You could see the worry in her eyes but you both knew that you couldn’t stop or change what had just happened so you looked back up at your husband, let him take your hand and stood up beside him and the cheers changed:
“The King and Queen in the North”

Dating Robb would include…?
Need. More. Robb. Fanfics. 💕
Tumblr media
(Gif not mine)
Dating Robb Stark Would Include...
Warm embraces. All. The. Time.
Grey Wind is a better third-wheel than Theon. Pass it on.
At least Grey Wind doesn't tease the two of you if he sees any form of PDA.
Grey Wind actually approves of the PDA, and he'll growl at Theon if he so much as opens his mouth.
The gif attached? Yeah, that's how he looks every time you walk in the room. All stupid and dumb and lovesick and cute.
The entirety of the North respects you as Robb's betrothed.
I just realized that dating anyone in Westeros would technically mean you're betrothed or courting... at least lawfully. I should title this series 'Courting Robb Stark Would Include...'
Anyway, hair petting.
Which of you is doing the hair petting?
Yes
Prepare for Robb to run his fingers through your hair every night until it's silky smooth or you're lulled to sleep.
When around Theon, Robb can be a bit childish, like we all are around our friends. He also becomes a bit of a show-off.
"Hey, Y/n!" *continues to race past you on a horse*
He enjoys hunting for any animal that has the softest fur for the number of cloaks he gets made for you.
If walking together, he usually keeps his hand on the small of your back.
If war is around the corner, he gifts you a beautiful dagger with a direwolf engraved on the blade.
If you're threatened, Robb's entire face darkens. He keeps his gaze locked on the person responsible and by silence alone, he's able to beckon Grey Wind. It's honestly a little terrifying to witness the bond between man and wolf. Grey Wind's emotions are often compatible with his master's.
Even if Robb isn't around, Grey Wind comes to your rescue when threatened.
Tender forehead kisses.
Picture this: it's chilly out and you're covered in furs while walking outside. Robb walks over, gloved hands gently grabbing both of your shoulders as he leans down to kiss your forehead.
If your nose gets cold easily, you can tuck your face into his neck. He'll complain but it's not genuine.
If he's being a prick and you put him in his place, he immediately shuts up and apologizes once you're done scolding him. Not gonna lie, it also turns him on a bit.
I hope you enjoyed!

Do you ever like someone else’s fanfiction so much, it makes you want to borrow the premise and write your own gender flipped version? I feel that way about a lot of ganymede_elegy/@cellsshapedlikestars’s fics. Here’s a little thing I jotted down after reading a fairytale ending. I’m not sure when, if ever, I’ll get around to continuing it. But, here, let me share it with you so its lack of ending can torture you the way it tortures me. 😘
The digital flyer was sent as a text, no further explanation included. Jon’s eyes flickered over the drawing — a woman with dark red hair and big blue eyes — then down to the cursive words below it. They spelled out a plea. It seemed the real life version of this woman was looking for a wedding date who was willing to pretend to be her boyfriend. Some PDA required, the flyer said. Specifics to be negotiated ahead of time. And then came the list of warnings. - The groom is my ex-boyfriend and his mother is the actual devil. - Other guests will include my crazy aunt and her creepy boyfriend. - It’s a destination wedding, so expect a 4-5 day time commitment. The very last section of the flyer said the woman would pay for all expenses and, If interested, contact the mutual friend who sent you this for further instructions. Jon double checked who that mutual friend was, half wondering if the flyer had found its way to him by mistake. But, no. Gilly had texted him, his screen told him. His best friend’s girlfriend. And she’d never texted him by mistake before, so — Curiosity peaked, Jon tossed aside the book he’d been reading and fired off a reply. Jon: Is this a joke? Some funny thing you stumbled across online? Instead of texting back, Gilly called right away. Speaking over the noise of the hair salon where she worked, she said, “I’ve got like, three minutes until my next appointment, so don’t interrupt, okay?” Jon kept quiet. “Okay?” Gilly repeated. “Wait? Are you there?” “That was me not interrupting,” Jon said. “Oh, gods. Okay, so her name is Sansa and she’s gorgeous and really, really nice, and she moved back to Winterfell about a year ago after living far away for like, I don’t know, seven or eight years maybe? She said she went to the private school here in town. What’s it called again? No, don’t answer that. Time crunch and all that. Anyway, the point is that you went to different schools so you don’t know each other, but you might know her brother? Wren Stark?” “You mean Robb Stark?” Jon had been a loner throughout most of his school years, but as a junior he’d let his favorite teacher, Mr. Rodrick, who was also the wrestling coach, talk him into joining an organized sport for the first time ever. Robb had been a senior and the team’s captain. Nice enough guy. Helped Jon feel included throughout the season without treating him like a totally charity case. They remained Facebook friends all these years later, though they never interacted. “Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe it was Robb,” Gilly answered. “Anyway, Sansa thought about making a profile on a dating app or whatever, but she was worried she’d attract some real weirdos. So she made that flyer instead and asked a few of her friends to share it — discreetly — with a few of their friends. And now, if you’re interested, I’m supposed to give her your number. And I very much want you to be interested, by the way, because you need to start dating again. Think of this as, like, a practice round or something. Oh, and you need a vacation too. Desperately. When was the last time you left the North?” “Uh… never?” Jon replied, trying not to laugh. This was ridiculous. Why did Gilly always think she could boss him around? Just because Sam let her get away with such antics didn’t mean he had to, right? “So I should give Sansa your number?” she asked. “You know her from the salon?” “Yeah. Did I not say that already? She has perfect hair, so all we ever do is trim it. But she always tips me really well.” Gilly let that comment simmer, and Jon, of course, understood why. Ever since he inherited a life-changing amount of money from his dad, he’d been weary of getting involved with a woman of little means. That made him feel like an asshole, but, hey, feeling like an asshole was better than having to wonder if the woman in question only liked him because of the size of his bank account. “I think she might be rich,” Gilly added after several beats of silence, like maybe she thought Jon was too dense to make the connection. “Yeah, but how rich?” he asked. Because he’d also been weary of getting involved with women who grew up in affluent families. He hadn’t grown up in one himself — his dad had been a distant figure in his life — and he knew he would never fit in in that world. What did he remember about the Starks? His mind raced in that direction before his question could be answered. Robb had worn nice clothes and driven an SUV that looked too expensive for a teenager to afford on their own. But if his parents were super rich, why hadn’t they sent all of their children to private school like Sansa? Wait, why had she not gone to Winterfell High? Why was she the exception to the rule within her family? Jon had more questions. “I’m hesitant to tell you everything I know,” Gilly said. “You have a tendency to draw too many conclusions from too little information. Incorrect conclusions, usually, I should remind you.” Jon scoffed. He wasn’t sure he agreed with that assessment, but whatever. He’d let it slide. “What’s this Sansa character do for a living?” he asked. Gilly squealed. “That means you’re considering it. I can tell. I’m so excited.” “What? No. I never said that.” “You didn’t have to. I can read you like a book.” Jon hesitated before admitting, in his own special way, that Gilly had the right of it. “I liked the part where she called her ex-boyfriend’s mom the actual devil. That amused me.” He took a beat to rub his hand over the back of his neck. “And it’s not as if I have anything better to do with my time,” he added. Too often lately, he’d been home, by himself, doing nothing. He was going stir crazy. He needed a change. A new person to meet. A new city to see. Something. Anything. “Oh, gods. Okay. This is thrilling,” Gilly said. “But my one o’clock just walked in, so I gotta go. I’ll send Sansa your number and tell her how wonderful you are. And then hopefully she’ll text you tonight. Don’t be weird if she does, okay? Promise me.” “I’m never weird, Gil.” She cackled, a weird way of expressing disagreement. “You’re frequently weird,” she said, “especially around girls. But I really do have to go now, okay? I’ll text her, she’ll text you. It’ll be great.” “Uh huh.” “Uh huh,” Gilly echoed teasingly. “Sam and I love you. Ba-bye.” She hung up the phone, and Jon returned his attention to the flyer in their text history. The thing looked like it could have been professionally made. Maybe Sansa worked in graphic design or marketing or something? Was that a lucrative industry? Jon wouldn’t know. He’d spent most of adulthood working at sporting goods stores, taking advantage of their employee discounts in order to outfit long backpacking trips around the North. He quit only recently, about four months after receiving his inheritance. Now he was unemployed, trying to figure out what he wanted to do with himself and the money that had opened up his options. Start his own business, maybe? But what kind of business, he had no idea. The screen on Jon’s phone turned black, catching his attention and drawing his thoughts back to the flyer he’d been studying. Rather than guess at Sansa’s career, he sent Gilly another text, wondering if she'd have time after her current appointment to reply to him. Jon: What’s Sansa do for a living? An hour passed without reply. With his patience dwindling, he realized he had other methods of research at his disposal. He logged on to Facebook, found Robb Stark, then searched his friends list for Sansa. Nothing. She either didn’t have a profile, or she had those extra security measures in place which prevented her from appearing in his search. Another twenty minutes passed and then, finally, Gilly sent him a text. This one was an embedded YouTube video, no further explanation included. Jon clicked play. He watched a door swing open to reveal a woman — not a drawing — with dark red hair and big blue eyes. “Hey, everybody,” she said. “Welcome back to my channel. Or, if you’re new here, welcome for the first time. I’m Sansa, and —” She paused to grin. It was a big, toothy thing Jon found he liked despite his reluctance to like anything to do with a YouTube star. “And today’s the big day,” she continued. “I’m so excited to walk you through the final reveal of our co-working space. Come on in.” She turned over her shoulder, beckoning the camera to follow her. She took a few steps forward, and then the video faded to a white, ever so briefly, before bubbly music and an animated introduction — similar style of the flyer — took over the screen. Jon watched all fifteen minutes of the interior design tour video without interruption, despite Sansa’s suggestion that he first go back and watch the other four in the so-called Headquarters Series. By the end of it, he’d learned that her YouTube channel focused on “rental -friendly interior designs and DIY projects on a budget.” Okay, that was sort of cool, he had to admit. He wasn’t the target audience, but he could appreciate it. And even better than that? By the end of the video, Jon had also learned that nearly four years ago, Sansa was let go from her dream job at a lifestyle magazine, which was “devastating at the time,” but, ultimately, put her on the path to where she was now — the leader of her own company, where she worked with five of her “most favorite people of all time.” Sansa made that happen for herself. And as far as Jon could tell, she hadn’t needed inherited money to do it. Maybe he could learn a thing or two from her. Anyway, yeah, she had a decent amount of money, it seemed. New money, like him. And Gilly was right, she was gorgeous. So even though he would have said no sixteen minutes ago, had anyone asked if he thought he could like a YouTuber who decorated in pastel color schemes, he was intrigued. What was the story behind Sansa, her ex-boyfriend, and his devilish mother? What made her aunt so crazy and her aunt’s boyfriend so creepy? What was the destination of this destination wedding? Jon hoped he would soon find out.

Game of Thrones - Love Letter and Handwriting Headcanons
In this preference, you'll be writing to: Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Sansa Stark, Jon Snow, Benjen Stark, Jory Cassel, Eddison Tollett, Yara Greyjoy, Daenerys Targaryen, Jorah Mormont, Missandei, Grey Worm, Tywin Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Sandor Clegane, Bronn, Petyr Baelish, Stannis Baratheon, Davos Seaworth, Margaery Tyrell, Brynden Tully, Edmure Tully, Brienne of Tarth, Ramsay Bolton, Roose Bolton, Oberyn Martell, Arianne Martell
my own silly fanfic made me think of this bc there’s letter writing later on in that. whee!
Ned Stark
His handwriting is neat, evenly spaced and fairly plain. It’s easily readable, which is the point - he knows not everyone is well-versed in letters and he tries to make it easier. Ned typical sends ravens, only writing a full letter for when he has to give instructions or relay something important. He has a formal Stark wax seal for this… and yes, he uses that same formal seal when he sends something to you. The more you exchange letters, the more relaxed he clearly becomes in writing. He knows he isn’t romantic or poetic by any means, but he hopes his affection for you comes across.
Robb Stark
Goodness knows he’s had endless lessons on writing properly and expressing the right words, but Robb just has no interest in it. His handwriting is perfectly legible but obviously hastily written, and he doesn’t care if there’s a few smudges or the paper gets dirty. When he’s writing to you, he’ll try to be neater… but sometimes he’s just got so much to say, and he’s so eager to send it, he doesn’t even notice the mess. Robb never thought he’d anticipate letters, especially romantic ones, but he loves receiving things from you. If you live far away, he feels the distance strongly and starts to rely on your letters to feel more connected to you.
Sansa Stark
As expected, her penmanship is pretty and neat. If she's in a good mood she'll add little flourishes here and there, but normally she's a bit embarrassed to do it. It feels childish to do that now. When she finds a nice stationary, she saves it until she writes to you. Her envelopes have the usual Stark direwolf with some wildflowers along the border. Honest and romantic words used to come easy to her, but now she’s more subdued. She’ll include pretty poetry she heard and wanted to share with you.
Jon Snow
His writing would be neater if he just slowed down, but he’s often in haste, especially once he becomes Lord Commander. He never cared about the proper penmanship or address because who would a bastard write to? Really, it’s lucky he was taught letters at all. He’d do his best to write neater for you, but the words keep escaping him - It’s hard enough to express how he feels in person, writing it isn’t any easier, no matter what Sam says. Jon always responds if you write to him, even if he’s blushing and feeling stupid the whole time.
Benjen Stark
He’s perfectly capable of writing neatly, but Benjen rarely bothers to. He jots down what he needs, though he at least has to make it legible - there’s only so many men that know their letters at the Wall, and Benjen has to keep his orders neat. When you pass him a secret letter, he’s grinning like a boy. He thinks it’s adorable that you went through the effort of finding supplies and writing something so sweet. He’ll ask to read it in front of you, but if you make him do it in secret, he’ll want to run and find you as soon as he’s done. He’d fold it up tight and keep it in a safe pouch tied to his belt.
Jory Cassel
His handwriting is pretty messy. Jory was never bothered by it until he had to write you something. Oh no. Wasn't there a proper way to address you? What if it was too personal, or too standoffish? Poor Jory overthinks his letters unless you two write with frequency. His handwriting won't get better, but he's more comfortable writing sweet things. He likes to keep his envelopes and papers plain so no one suspects anything, which is a good habit if you’re dating in secret, but a silly once if you’re married.
Eddison Tollett
He jokes it’s a small miracle that he knows his letters, poor as his family was. He likes to pretend he doesn’t, just so the higher ups on the Wall won’t give him extra duties like they did Sam. Reading never interested him, and he had no one to write to, so it’s just not something he thinks about. When you slip him a letter, he just stares at it dumbly for a minute. Once Edd has a chance to open it up, he’s a little taken aback. What… should he do? Should he talk to you? Respond to it? He’s never had such a nice gesture given to him, never had anyone write such nice things to him (has he even received a letter before??). So the next time to meet him, he still has a stupefied look on his face. And here he was thinking nothing on the Wall could surprise him anymore..
Yara Greyjoy
She was taught writing and reading by her nuncle - because the Gods know her father hardly bothered - so she actually has fond memories of both, even if she hardly does it. Yara would be very curious by anything you sent. Was something wrong? If it smelled of perfume or had a pretty stationary, she’d snort… but once she read the contents, she’d just grin and laugh. If the letter is more romantic, she finds it silly, but so like you. Very endearing. If it’s more saucy and risque, well … she’s going to read this in private and take her time.
Daenerys Targaryen
Her handwriting wasn’t as neat as it could’ve been, given her upbringing. It’s a point of embarrassment, so Dany practices pretty lettering and uses interesting inks she’s found around the markets. It’s a bit relaxing, though when she’s writing something official as Khaleesi and Queen, she makes sure it’s perfect. She’s pleasantly surprised when you write her something - has she ever actually received something this sweet before? She’ll write you back with a smile on her face, and she likes any chance to use that fancy Targaryen seal. Dany will still love to receive and send letters even if you both are staying in a palace together. It’s just one of many romantic gestures she thought she’d never enjoy.
Jorah Mormont
Jorah's handwriting is nice, but he usually writes in haste, so several letters end up smudged. He doesn't like to waste paper and start over. Jorah really can’t believe that you’d send him something romantic and sweet; he tries to hide his grin and blush, but he’ll wear it the whole time he’s reading. When he's writing something really sweet to you, it gets him flustered and happy, so whole words end up smudged. He doesn't notice the ink on his hand until he's already put the letter in the envelope. He keeps whatever you’ve sent him in a protective leather book so they can’t get damaged.
Missandei
She has lovely handwriting in many languages, as she was taught. The neatness of the lines and letters really is impressive. When she's writing something sweet to you, she pauses and struggles with the words for a while. Missandei always has the sweetest, most thoughtful letters - more sentimental than romantic. Her letters are punctuated with citrus smelling paper and a modestly decorated envelope.
Grey Worm
He’s only recently learned to read, and writing is still a struggle - he’d be very intimidated at the idea of writing something to you. When you give him something to read for practice, it takes Grey Worm a few minutes before he realizes it’s something you wrote. And it’s for him! And about him! He’s very happy but also very flustered. It takes him longer to get through it, but he can’t stop smiling all day once he’s done. He aspires to write something just as nice, once he’s practiced more. He’d keep your letters in a safe place, and wouldn’t want anyone else to see them.
Tywin Lannister
His penmanship is near perfect, which you expected. It’s always written in a stark black ink on fine, almost marbled paper that has an equally officially looking gold Lannister seal on the envelope. People whisper it’s liquid gold that seals it, but you know better. Tywin’s letters are for business only, so he doesn’t expect you to send him anything romantic… He wouldn’t know what to do with it, besides read it with some amusement and tuck it away for later. You might think he never read it, until he’ll tease you by quoting it weeks later.
Tyrion Lannister
His handwriting is elegant and flawless, as it was meant to be. When Tyrion’s tired he’ll smudge here and there, and depending on how important the letter is, he’ll start over entirely. When he receives your first letter, he’s surprised by the pretty stationary and envelope - this is for him? - and the contents are even better. Tyrion might have a small mental shutdown if you write him something romantic and kind. He’ll re-read it over and over and be distracted through much of the day. This is really for him? He has to respond, of course, and he’ll do it while his emotions are high. For once he doesn’t think on carefully crafted words, he writes what he feels and picks a more subtle stationary (no giant Lannister seals) so attention isn’t drawn to you.
Jaime Lannister
Gods, he hates writing. Just sitting down to write a report is bad enough, but when it's something important? When it's a response to something lovely you wrote? He struggles. The letters start moving around like they used to, he remembers those awful lessons with his father and he's just put off by the whole thing. Seeing you in person is far better. Jaime's handwriting is neat, because it had to be, though when he's upset he'll write a few letters backwards.
Sandor Clegane
It's a mess. Really, the fact his words are readable is a miracle. 'Chicken scratch' is a generous term, though his name is passable. If you wrote him a letter, he'd have no idea what to do with it, let alone how to respond. Sandor doesn't do sentiment like that; seeing you in person can be conflicting and confusing enough. He'd probably rip it up and burn it after drinking too much (and immediately regret that in the morning).
Bronn
He's barely literate, and not a man of flowery words anyway, so don't respect a response. If anything he'd hand the letter to Tyrion and ask him to read it - only for it to be handed back once Tyrion realized it was very personal and... revealing. Bronn doesn't worry about a response or consider you getting upset about it. If you are, he has ways to make up for it.
Petyr Baelish
You expected him to have neat penmanship, but you didn't expect it to be this nice. And of course, his way with words shows in his letters, but it's even better. You might even blush and have to excuse yourself to read it in private. Petyr loves to write on fancy paper with fancier envelopes that have his sigil, but if they're meant to be secret, the only indicator is a little symbol on the envelope's seal. He delights in anything you send him, especially if he can smell your perfume on it.
Stannis Baratheon
Stannis writes very neat letters with equally impossibly neat rows. He has a habit of gripping his quill too tight, but his letters are concise so his hand doesn’t hurt. While he usually writes quickly because he knows what to say, when he writes to you, he pauses far too often. Sometimes ink drips on the paper while he’s thinking, sometimes he misspells a word he’s never gotten wrong before. It takes a long time, especially if he’s responding to something that was very sweet and romantic. His first letters were very awkward and halting, but they’ve steadily improved. Mostly.
Davos Seaworth
You were the one who helped him with writing, after helping him read as well. Davos isn’t happy with his penmanship, but he didn’t think he’d make it this far, so he keeps trying when he has time. It’s messy but legible enough. Davos is always pleasantly surprised when you write to him; he loves that you took the time to send something so sweet. It’s hard for him to reply efficiently, or to put what he’s thinking into words, so sometimes he’ll wait for you to get back instead. He would use your letters to practice reading… but it gets him terribly flustered to read the same kind things over and over again.
Margaery Tyrell
She doesn't mind taking the extra time to make her letters extra beautiful, to press dried flower petals and put them in the envelope, to look through dozens of stationary to find one that's just right for her mood. For most people, they're lucky to get one of these little rituals - you get all of them. She'd be delighted if you took extra care in your letters, too, and naturally she keeps whatever you send her in a special box (that absolutely no one will find).
Brynden Tully
It's no surprise that his handwriting is simple and gets the job done. His brother used to complain that he wrote like a soldier, not a lord, and Brynden is proud of that. He won't wax poetic to you, but he will plainly state that he misses you and he always writes back promptly. Brynden feels bad that his letters take so long to arrive, so he'll make them longer with funny anecdotes and things he's heard from travellers. He folds his letter a few times and wraps it in a protective parchment, just in case rain comes or some idiot drops it.
Edmure Tully
He writes well enough, with neat letters that are jotted down in haste. Edmure almost never stays and lingers on words and sentences, he just writes what comes to mind and moves on. He’s shocked in a good way when you write something to him - you missed him that much? Enough to write all this? He re-reads it several times, and keeps whatever you send him after that. He’ll eagerly write back, and even if it’s silly and awkwardly worded, you can feel the love in every letter. His letters are often a bit crumpled and are plain except for the Tully seal.
Brienne of Tarth
It might surprise some that she has a lady's penmanship. It was never something Brienne had trouble learning, though she often accidentally broke the quill by holding too hard. Though she cherishes the kind things you send her (and she blushes terribly as she reads them), she struggles to send something in return. Her words fail her and she feels embarrassed for trying, but she does try. Seeing you in person is so much easier, though. She likes to keep your letters in a safe place and read them when she's feeling down.
Ramsay Bolton
The letters are messy, but legible enough. The real issue is all the stains on the paper, usually a combination of mud, blood or water. He has little care for the proper way to write or address others; Roose may have given him the bare minimum and not expected him to actually use it. Ramsay is very surprised and amused by anything you send him, though. He considers writing something back, but decides to wait or just go and see you directly. That’s far more fun.
Roose Bolton
His handwriting is functional and his words are to the point. There's nothing outstanding about the letter or its contents, save for a blood-red Bolton seal on the envelope. Roose rarely sends full letters, though; it's a quick Raven or nothing. Though he won't mind anything you send… he'll be very pleased with how personal they become, and he still won't send anything back right away, if he does at all. Better to keep you in anticipation.
Oberyn Martell
Oberyn has a stylish flourish to his letters that’s unique to him. If that didn’t give it away, the pretty gold ink or embellished envelope will. Often it has the spear as a seal, sometimes it’s some interesting and strange stamp he picked up from his travels. There’s always a slight scent to his letters, and you can’t always place it. The actual words themselves are often scandalous and teasing, though he’s sent plenty of heartfelt things, especially if you enjoy it. He’s no poet, but he’s honest and romantic. Oberyn much prefers to see you in person, but he likes to receive sweet things and re-read them.
Arianne Martell
Her handwriting is beautifully elegant, and she loves getting ahold of pretty colored inks and papers. Her letters straddle a fine line between romantic and a little scandalous, and she likes to use pet names, as if you both are writing in secret. Her envelopes have a pleasant smell, and the official Martell seal. If she wants her letter to be sent especially fast, she’ll take her father’s seal. She keeps anything you send her in a pretty, hand carved wooden box with a lock and key.

Blanket - november drabbles - day 17
Day 17 of @creativepromptsforwriting November prompt list.
Tumblr media
Their traditional Thanksgiving night movie came to an end. A few of the Starks yawned and headed to bed. Sansa stayed on the couch, legs wrapped up to her chest, waiting for the next film. Most of the Stark kids had moved out of their parents’ house, but it was tradition for everyone to stay the night after gorging themselves on Catelyn’s famed Thanksgiving dinner.
“Are you cold?” Jon asked her, chuckling at her balled-up position. He was included every year since the family basically adopted him the day Robb brought him over to play in grade school.
“She’s always cold,” Arya claimed as she put on the next movie.
“Shut up. I couldn’t find any more throw blankets, I don’t know where Mom keeps them these days.”
“I think they’re on everyone’s beds for extra warmth while sleeping,” Bran mentioned.
“Here, you can share mine,” Jon offered, motioning for her to sit next to him. She climbed over an irritated Arya to get to him and he threw his blanket over them.
As the movie went on, Jon and Sansa found themselves inching closer together. They’d mock and tease each other, giving playful shoves of their shoulders. Arya finally shot them a rather annoyed look when Jon tickled Sansa and she started giggling. They apologized and went back to watching the movie. Bran bowed out after a little while and when the movie was over, Arya headed toward her old bedroom as well, bestowing them with a suspicious lifted brow that Sansa decided to ignore.
“I could go to my room if you wanted to sleep,” Sansa offered, gesturing to the couch which would be his bed that night.
“No, I can do one more movie. If you want.”
“Would you hate me if I put on the good old rom-com classic The Holiday?” Sansa asked. Jon laughed and shook his head. Honestly, she didn’t care what was on the screen, she was much more interested in what was going on under the blanket that covered them. They were so close now that her tucked-up knees were in his lap with his hand resting on them. Ever since her attention turned to boys, she always knew Jon was good looking, in his special broody way. But she never really gave it another thought. However, she then got older. Done with high school and the immature boys, she paid a little more attention to Jon, always a little more grown up than the others. College boys were just barely more mature than the high schoolers and a couple of bad relationships later, Sansa figured out what she truly wanted – someone like Jon. Well, Jon specifically. She never thought he’d be interested in her though, his whole aesthetic was of a rougher, cool rocker vibe wrapped over a hidden soft inside. She wasn’t like the girls he had dated previously, just as much as he wasn’t like her ex-boyfriends. But the touchy-feely, flirty thing happening tonight was giving her some hope and she desperately wanted it to continue.
Sansa adjusted her body, cuddling into him more and moving her legs further over him, causing his hand to slide in between her thighs. She smiled to herself when he didn’t remove it. After a few minutes, she laid her head on his shoulder and his fingers moved up and down delicately while his other arm wrapped around her shoulders. Sansa wasn’t even concentrating on the movie anymore, too preoccupied with figuring out how to move this along. She turned her face into his neck, her lips close to his skin, as she moved just a fraction closer, his fingers going very high up her thigh. She let out a hot breath, a nearly imperceptible sigh. She could feel Jon’s body go stiff and he held his breath for a moment. Her hand went to his chest, her touch lazily dragging along his shirt. She could feel his heartbeat fast under the fabric and she smiled devilishly.
“You’re making this rather difficult,” he said in a husky whisper.
“What?” she asked, lifting her head to look at him, all fake innocence and teasing smile. He gave her a look that clearly said she knew exactly what he meant. She slowly leaned in closer. “Do you want me, Jon?” Her whisper brushed against his lips.
“Yes. For so long.”
It was all she needed. Sansa swung her leg over his lap and straddled him, making sure the blanket stayed over them for the cover. She pressed down on him while his hands gripped at her hips and his lips graced her neck, planting kisses upward until he found her lips. His arms wrapped around her and held her close, her hips moving to grind on him. His mouth trailed down again to her chest, where his hand came up to cup a breast, Sansa keeping her moans to gasps. But it was his turn to make things difficult for her. Jon swiftly laid her down on the couch, his hands deftly peeling her pajama bottoms down. She had to cover her mouth when his finger tested her wetness and he brought it to his mouth for a taste with a hungry groan. He dove under the blanket, his mouth bringing her to edge after edge, letting her build up until he could tell she needed to come undone. Sansa could taste a hint of blood as she bit her lip to stay quiet while her body let out violent shakes as she came. His lips sweetly kissed her skin as he resurfaced from under the blanket, wearing a satisfied smile.
A creak in the floor upstairs made them sit upright and hold their breath. A sibling just using the restroom. Once the movement upstairs stopped, they gave it a few minutes to test the silence. “Did you want to go to sleep?” Jon whispered.
Sansa gave him her devilish smile. Under the blanket, her hand grazed the stiffness hidden in his pants. “No.”

If you are accepting prompts--how about Sansa and Jon being on opposite sides of a political contest? Prime Minister Rhaegar Targaryen is forced to call a referendum for Northern independence, as demanded by the Northern Nationalists party. He is campaigning in the North for a United Westeros, taking his second wife Lyanna Stark and their son Jon along, toshow how hollow all talk if Northern independence is. However, this means that Jon keeps running into his Stark cousins, particularly Sansa Stark, who accompanies her parents to every debate and campaign rally...
I've been sitting on this for a while (and yes, I do see all the anon prompts, I promise!) and I've sort of been writing this on and off since I got it. The thing is, I have no point of reference for these politics, I'm assuming you wanted something like the Scottish independence movement, which I have almost no knowledge of as I am a dumb American who can barely handle American politics without spiraling into anxiety and depression. So, I've sort of talked around the specifics and hopefully I haven't gotten anything too crazy wrong.
Also, you mention his Stark cousins, but... well, I cannot do modern incest. I can handle them being cousins in olden times where it was acceptable & common (I can't even handle the sibling incest aspect in any time period), but I was writing this modern and that's a hard nope for me. I know it's a fairly predominant part of this fandom and if it's your thing, absolutely have at it! There is no kink shaming in this house. It's just not for me and I couldn't write it, sorry!
Also, as usual, this turned out longer than I intended since these are supposed to be drabbles mostly. But 'drabbles' for me always end up like 2k words
.
Jon sits in the window seat of the jet, headphones on and turned up. Somewhere behind him, he knows his parents are sitting, likely talking strategy. He knows dad wants him to join in, but Jon's in no mood to talk politics. It's what got him in this situation to begin with.
That stupid reporter. Jon's stupid response.
Jon! How do you feel about Northern Independence?
I say let them.
It's what he believes, honestly – if the North wants independence, why not? The rest of the SK treats them like shit anyway, why not let them break off, like Dorne did? It's not a naming issue – they're still called the Seven Kingdoms despite losing Dorne decades ago, so what if they're technically only six now? Jon knows it's about more than that – it's economics and politics and... well, pride. The SK can't lose another piece of their kingdom – nevermind that piece has been conquered and beaten down multiple times over hundreds of years. Northern Independence isn't a new concept – it's just been met with military resistance every time and stamped out. But they aren't in the middle ages anymore.
For a moment he turns his head to look behind him – to see mom with her head bowed in conversation with dad and something ugly twists in Jon's stomach.
He knows dad only married mom because she got pregnant – because his political career was just taking off and a mistress and bastard would have ruined him. And mom, she'd been so young, she's convinced herself he married her for love. Jon swears that mom used to be different. She used to argue with Rhaegar all the time about politics, he even remembers her bringing up Northern Independence when Jon was just a kid. But over the years she's had to play the perfect wife for him and somewhere along the way it just... stuck. Mom isn't his mom anymore. No, mom is what Rhaegar's political advisors want her to be.
So even though Jon had wanted to protest this trip, there's also a part of him desperately clinging to the hope that when they get North, mom will snap out of it. When she's home, maybe she'll be his mom again.
Especially since the leader of the opposition is an old friend of hers.
Ned Stark.
Dad doesn't react to much, he's a politician to his core, so seeing him get riled anytime Ned Stark is on TV is notable. In fact, there's a rebellious part of Jon that already likes Ned Stark simply for the fact that dad hates him so much. There's more to like than just that, Jon knows – Ned Stark seems like one of those politicians that's doing the job because they want to make a difference. They're rare, nowadays, but Jon's been surrounded by politicians his whole life and he can spot the do-gooders from a mile away.
He thinks it's partly why dad hates it – Ned Stark doesn't use the same underhanded tactics Rhaegar's used to, and from everything Jon's heard, there's nothing to use against Ned. The only skeleton dad's advisors had ever found tucked away in Ned Stark's closet had been that his wife, Catelyn, had originally dated his older brother Brandon, who died in a car accident. They'd begun dating and married shortly after - a minor scandal that hadn't gained any traction, considering they've been married for over twenty years with five children.
Dad was hoping to get somewhere with the youngest daughter, Arya, who always seemed more wild than the rest of her siblings (except maybe the youngest, Rickon). The problem is that she's never done anything really wrong and the North loves her. The oldest son Robb is as perfect a son as any politician could hope for and Jon sometimes wonders if dad would rather have Robb than Jon.
The other two sons are still fairly young and going after them would only make dad look like the bad guy. Then there's Sansa.
Jon remembers her from growing up – not that he'd ever met her, but they're both kids of prominent politicians and he's seen her in photos since she was old enough to walk. A proper lady, he remembers even the southern press naming her. Perfect, just like her older brother.
A hand on his shoulder jolts him out of his thoughts and he turns to see mom, who motions at him to take off his headphones.
“We're landing in a half hour and your father would like to go over your role,” she tells him with a perfect, bland smile. (She hasn't been his mother for a very long time.)
“I know my role,” he says and he can't help the bitter tone to his voice. “Stay quite, don't talk to the press. Pretty easy to remember.”
“And yet you still managed to nearly undermine my entire campaign with one flippant remark,” dad's voice calls over from his seat, low and smooth, though Jon absolutely hears the annoyance underneath it.
“Oh, he's just a child,” mom says, trying to play the peacekeeper like she always does.
“He's twenty, he's hardly a child,” dad starts, but Jon doesn't listen to the rest. He pulls his headphones back over his ears and looks back out the window and tries to pretend he's anywhere else.
By the time they reach Winterfell Castle, Jon is in a bad mood.
Not that he hadn't been before, but he's not allowed his headphones in the limo and so he'd had to listen to dad talk nonstop about his two favorite topics: Jon's failure as a son and how much he hates Ned Stark. And the way mom doesn't even try to defend Ned Stark like she used to infuriates Jon even more.
Jon hates his tuxedo and he hates that they barely had any time between landing and having to get ready for this dinner and he hates that he's going to have to smile and shake hands with a bunch of people who hate him on principle, simply for who his father is. For what his father represents.
When he does step out of the limo, he ignores every photographer and reporter that shouts his name, eager to get any sort of scandal out of him.
He doesn't blame them for this, he's given them enough over the years – not just his apparent support of Northern Independence, but everything else he's done to gain his notoriety. His reputation as a heartbreaker and a playboy that's mostly over-exaggerated, that time he punched a teacher (though to be fair, Thorne deserved it)... Teenage rebellion, they'd written it off as, but he's no longer a teenager and he knows he should grow up and stop doing things to piss off his father at some point.
(His favorite one had been sleeping with that investigative journalist when he was seventeen. She'd been older than him by a good few years and he'd known she was using him to write an article, but he was using her just as much to infuriate his father. His only true regret is that Ygritte's article hadn't done any real lasting damage to Rhaegar's reputation.)
Inside, there aren't any reporters but there are politicians everywhere and that's worse. He does the bare minimum to not cause an issue – he shakes hands and says hello, though he refuses to smile while doing it. They already hate him for being Rhaegar Targaryen's son. They already hate him for being Northern-traitor Lyanna Snow's son.
He keeps an eye on mom to see how she's doing and his heart twists painfully in his chest when he sees her. She has a bright smile on her face and anyone who didn't know her would think she's fine, but Jon can see how pale she is under her makeup. This is the first time she's been back in the North since she married dad and he has a sudden, sharp pang of hatred for Rhaegar – for getting her pregnant, for marrying her, for never letting her go back. For turning her into this.
He can tell the moment Ned Stark enters the room because mom freezes. And sure enough, there he is – beautiful wife at his side, the three adult children with him. Robb, Sansa, Arya. Jon's eyes scan over them – Robb with his perfect hair and smile, an easy way about him that's always come through even on camera. Sansa standing poised and almost too beautiful to believe – Jon's only ever seen her on film and somehow she's even more unreal in person. Arya, who by all accounts hates politics as much as Jon does, stands firmly by her family and Jon gets the sense she only hates the system, not her dad. Not like Jon.
As Jon scans the room, he can see other families here that he recognizes – the Greyjoys, including Robb Stark's best friend Theon. The Manderlys, the Karstarks, the Ryswells, the Boltons, the Mormonts. More families than Jon cares to remember.
There's a sense of someone behind him and he turns just enough to see that dad has come up to stand next to him. For a moment, dad just stands there before turning his head ever so slightly and bringing his mouth close to Jon's ear and he says so low Jon can barely even hear it - “if you do anything to embarrass me tonight, there will be consequences. If you do anything that makes it seem like you support this pathetic independence movement, there will be consequences. Do you understand me?”
Jon feels blind rage that winds so hot in his chest it makes him shake and his vision narrow. He has to close his eyes and take a deep breath before he can answer, and he grits out, “of course.” Dad nods and moves away, putting on his best politician smile as he goes to greet Howland Reed.
Mom shoots him a concerned look, but Jon ignores her. He can feel it building in him – that rebelliousness the press likes to talk about so much. He wants to hurt Rhaegar. For everything – for his mother, for all the people dad's stepped on and hurt. He wants to embarrass him, consequences be damned.
Just as he's thinking this, his eyes catch on copper hair and bright blue eyes.
Sansa Stark.
Darling of the press. Perfect Northern princess.
It takes root in his mind, against his better judgment. What would make Rhaegar more furious than an affair between his son and the daughter of Ned Stark?
Jon can't imagine Sansa would be amenable to the suggestion, not like Ygritte had been – there is no mutually beneficial agreement here. She would never agree to do something that might embarrass her father (and once again, Jon is reminded of the, pun intended, stark difference between his relationship with his father and the Stark children's relationship with Ned. Jon has never even met them in person and he knows this).
So he can't approach her with any sort of offer or plan. No, he'd have to pretend it was real.
He's going to have to seduce Sansa Stark.
