#dating must be very complicated for both Guardians and Awoken

As I sit here, finishing my tea, a bit of tag commentary got my (sadly not tired) gears turning on the idea of age ranges with ships in Destiny.
I ship my Guardian, Hal, with Crow and Amanda. The Young Wolf is... what... eight years old? Ish? In theory? Counting from their “Raise Date” is all we’ve got for them, so I’d say that’s Hal’s “age” as well. So, with that in mind, looking at Amanda, I’d say she’s at least in her 20s, at most in her mid-30s. Either way, that is one HELL of an age gap.
But it gets more complicated with Crow. It seems he’s come to consider himself as definitely being Uldren, now, with his “So was I” statement during Season of Risen when talking about being a monster once. Or, rather, he’s Uldren with a second chance and a new coat of paint (ie new name). Which is fine, identity is a very fluid thing it seems for Guardians. Anyway, in that case, we aren’t using his Raise Date to count by. Which... well... um... um... um...
He’s too old for everyone in the damn City. All thanks to both the damn Distributary having weird time dilation nonsense, and the fact that he, like all of the OG Awoken, actually was alive during the Collapse. So, Crow, and Mara, are both ancient.
So, my little throuple ship has some... interesting age dynamics there. Then looking at other Guardian characters, like Saladin, or Zavala, who’ve been around as Guardians for a long ass time (I’d say probably 200 years at least), and imagining the disparity between them and, well, almost anyone.
Age is one funny, kinda complicated thing in the Destiny-verse, and it’s... oddly fascinating.
Not me getting fascinated by concepts like age and identity and all that in a video game. Never.
No wonder I play a Warlock...

- She’s part taken, due to a deal she made with Riven. The deal was for an exchange of knowledge. Her taken side only overpowers her in moments of great anger/great danger. Otherwise, she can mostly control it.
Story (Part 1):
In Jade’s previous life, she was a Techeun. She was sent throughout many systems, per the queens orders, to gather various bits of knowledge. Jade, and her team of Corsairs, would often times collect older texts. As per usual, these texts were long forgotten by their era, and original creators.
As a whole, Jade’s pervious life wasn’t bad. Collecting texts, Preserving Technology, sorting through various collections of history, along with performing the odd ritual here and there. Unfortunately, this all had to come to an end.
As Jade’s team were exploring an underground snow cavern, they were ambushed. Enemies had rushed out every nook and cranny of the place, until they ultimately surrounded the team. Jade’s team of corsairs fought valiantly to push back the enemies, but they were horribly overwhelmed. Each enemy had ripped them apart and crushed them, even as every one present tried their damndest to stop them. It was, sadly, of no use.
Years passed, and Jade was reborn. When she was rezzed, her ghost greeted her happily. Internally, Jade was wondering what had happened, and what all of this was. Left confused, and suddenly unnerved at the bones around her, Jade got up. She quickly gathered herself, then promptly started to question her ghost.
After a long discussion, they started to go outside. Both of them looked around and decided to carefully walk around. As they snuck through the area, they happened upon a ship. Jade’s ghost, Quartz, teleported her into the ship. It was at that very moment, that Jade officially started her new life.
Quartz then took Jade to the Tower. Then, as tradition granted, Quartz took jade into the vanguard hall. Each Vangurad greeted Jade, while she stayed silent. Her ghost ended up talking for her, as noticed the guardian’s quietness. Jade listened, but was ultimately unresponsive. After the standard “Guardian Talk”, Jade was dimissed. When she then left the Vanguard hall, she started to wander.
Jade wandered around, and settled around a garden area on top of the vanguard hall. She sat near a tree, and let her thoughts wander back to her resurrection. What were those bones around her from? What is this? What am I? Who am I? This plagued her until an entirely different thought struck her. She had a sister, right? Where is she though?
That’s when she walked out the garden, and in front of the vanguard hall. Many different guardians passed her. A few had looked like her, and a few had looked more like robots. A small group of them had looked exceedingly different, as it seemed they didn’t look like they very anything interesting. That’s when Jade saw a strikingly familiar Awoken face, as they had noticeably green hair, along with bright green eyes to match.
A pain struck Jade as she recalled a memory. It plays and she sees...
She’s stood there dressed in dark robes, surround by various allies. These allies held weapons, and seemed to chat, when a woman with strikingly white hair, and cold blue eyes appeared. They dispersed, except one of them. The one that didn’t dissapeer took off her hood/mask. This individual had short green hair, and bright green eyes. The woman with the white hair spoke up, “Another successful expedition from you two grants the reef success, and I must acknowledge that. Jade, my wonderful Techeun, you have proven worthy in your work. Nova, the Corsair sister who has lead the team to protect her, I must thank you for protecting such an important individual. After all, your sister wouldn’t fair well dead, now would she?
The mermory stopped played, and Jade looked around for that green-haired person. She was disappointed when she couldn’t spot them. Quartz at that moment, popped up to alert her. They’ve been called into the Vanguard room for more briefing.
