Darth Lumis 🗣️🗣️🗣️ (that’s how I’ve seen most ppl call this alternate universe take on obi wan who’s a sith so i’m sticking with it because it sounds BADASS)
Me: yo I should draw Obi Wan Kenobi as a Sith lord!
An online friend of mine: yeah, that’d be sick🗣️
Me:maybe i should do it
And that’s how this came into existence.
And for the sake of this I will say this is him if he turned to the Dark Side after satine’s death on mandalore and seeing the corruption within the order after Ashoka was wrongly accused of war crimes or perhaps just raised a sith and being taken to sith temples and later on climbing the ranks in the military with the government and clone officials having little to no knowledge about his affiliation with the sith, hence i chose to militarize his outfit! (Tbh I like the second idea more)
Would you want more stuff like this?
(Btw the location was supposed to be a Sith temple and I took some inspiration from indian temples!)

Sith Empire AU
Tumblr media
sith empire au where Obi-Wan is an extremely powerful Sith Lord, has a seat on the Sith Emperor's Dark Council and is looking for an apprentice. He knows that using the dark side corrupts and he wants a strong and able heir to continue his legacy on.
Goes to Korriban's Sith Academy to find an apprentice and finds 16-year old Anakin Skywalker who shines so brightly in the Force that it's surprising he immediately wasn't whisked away by some other Sith Lord. One look at the boy's documents confirms that he's biologically compatible with Obi-Wan and can bear him heirs. So Obi-Wan takes him away, under the guise of Sith Apprentice training.
Except the only training Anakin receives is on how to be a good consort to a Sith Lord, how to take care of Obi-Wan's estate, how to be a good parent and raise Sith Heirs properly, and how to be a good socialite.
Two years later a beautiful and hopelessly-in-love Anakin marries Sith Lord Darth Lumis in a grand wedding ceremony.

Hey Lumi! I’m watching The Bad Batch for the first time. Just finished the episode where Rampart is trying to get his bill passed and then Palpatine at the end manages to manipulate the situation so that even though the truth was told, the clones still lost. Rex at the end of the episode says something like “Palpatine was always one step ahead of us during the war and he’s several steps ahead of us now” I’m curious as to how much Rex knows about Palpatine and what actually happened. Because I don’t think he would know Palpatine is a Sith Lord but I think it’s obvious to many (or most) people in the galaxy that Palpatine was using the war as a way to gain total control over the galaxy. What are your thoughts on this?
This is an interesting question that I've been trying to figure out, because I don't recall anything that says for sure Rex knew that Palpatine was Sidious, but what they do know is: - Obi-Wan told Bo-Katan, Ahsoka, and Rex that the Council suspected, "Darth Sidious is the Sith Lord who orchestrated the Clone Wars and played both sides of it from the beginning." while they were on Mandalore. - Rex looked into what Fives was trying to uncover, he knew it went "all the way to the top" and at least suspected that Palpatine had to be involved given Fives trying to target him. - When Order 66 happened, they saw a holo-figure of Darth Sidious giving them the command, which triggered them calling him "My Lord". For the most part, Palpatine used a hologram version of himself for announcements and such, but he did make at least that one speech to the Senate in his true form during ROTS. - They knew that the Jedi had battled Palpatine, because he made the speech after the lightning scarred him, so why would the Jedi have gone after a politician? How could an ordinary politician stand up against a Jedi Master of Mace Windu's calibre? - Obi-Wan and Yoda know that Palpatine is Sidious because they saw the footage of Anakin swearing loyalty to him. While they wouldn't have been able to tell her directly, they almost assuredly told Bail, who may have passed on that information to Ahsoka. (Whether at Padme's funeral or another time?) Ahsoka could have told Rex after that, they were still in contact for many years afterwards.
Most likely, I think they both put the puzzle pieces together from the above--neither of them knew about Anakin being Darth Vader--and Rex's words in TBB episode could be (if I'm remembering right, I only saw it the once and haven't seen it since, so my memories may be fuzzy) theoretically be just as a politician, I think they all knew he was playing dirty even just as Palpatine to get himself into position as Emperor, but I think it's more that they just looked at all the puzzle pieces, saw him suddenly look like that hologram the clones got, and quietly put two and two together. If I've missed anything (entirely possible! it's a hazy question of who knows what at what point), feel free to jump in, but afair I'm not sure it's directly stated anywhere and I think either Rex just figured it out once all the pieces fell into place or the biochip in their heads had that information and, once triggered, all the clones knew it.

The sky brightened somewhat as a meteor fell through the atmosphere. It crashed through a mountain, spinning off somewhere in the woods. Black durasteel sliced through the air and the foliage, as the starship-turned-meteorite crashed with a deafening wave of sound. The black and gold ship crushed countless trees, leaving a massive trench in it's wake, before finally coming to a halt two kilometers from the mountain. The cockpit glass was stabbed from within by a crimson blade of light, and a very well dressed man leapt through the shattered viewport, landing on his feet on the cool grass outside. The air smelled of fried circuitry and burning plants, as the ginger dusted himself off, taking a moment to get his bearings.

A redraw of this fine fellow. Turns out drawing various incarnations of the same character almost exclusively for a period of several months will mean you get pretty good (at drawing that one character)! I must tag @imaginaryanon as this is of her Darth Lumis from the amazing (now - and deservedly so - infamous) ‘Wicked Thing’.
I will get him up on my Society6 tomorrow, hopefully, for those of you interested in prints/merch! C:

So, since Solus and Anakin had a Thing in some verses, may I propose: an AU with Dark!Solus and Vader?
Okay, this got stupid fucking long. Like, holy hells is this a long post but I’ve outlined like an entire AU with this.
Dark Side AU featuring Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Solus Vetra, and Lumi Kirrin
Rating Wise I guess I would call this an M?
+ In this Verse, Solus and Anakin would have been Actual Friends for about 6-ish months before Geonosis. They met during the same detail (watching radars and patrolling Coruscant) and it off. Jokes passed easily between them along with tips and tricks (and bragging) about starfighters and piloting as well. Spars got mixed into that before Spar became code for “Let’s make out.” They still only called themselves “Friends” but there was a lot of tongue and wandering hands involved in being friends.
+ After reuniting with Padme and then surviving Geonosis, their canons kept on the original paths. Anakin got secret married, fought a War, had a baby (he never got to meet), “killed Padme” and then became Darth Vader. Solus defected to Death Watch, married Pre, had her twins, and then suffered the crippling blow of Pre’s death at the hands of Maul.
+ The big difference comes in how things progressed after that. Word got out (via a Saxon who was promptly executed with malice when found out) that Clan Vizsla had two Force Sensitives babies among them. This prompted the Inquisitors, and Sidious, making a request for those children. Having already lost her riduur, Solus offered herself instead.
+ “Why take children who need to mature when you have a fully grown Force Adept ready to carry out your will? One who already turned her back on the Jedi.”
+ Unexpectedly, Lumi offered herself in this madness to help. Where Solus went Lumi was sure to follow. It also balanced out the trade two trained Force Users in place of two infants. Lumi also knew that her having been Mace Windu’s Padawan sweetened the deal even more.
+ So, Darth Vader suddenly had two willing Force Users at his side. Compared to the other former Jedi they held a certain wildness to them. Lumi would delight in the chaos of battle. Her heart thudded while viciously tearing opponents apart. In the Force she would *glow* at getting to go all in.
+ Solus? Solus always put Mandalore and her Clan first. Turns out that made her willingness to hunt down Jedi arrive even easier. The Jedi could rebuild when Sidious plans faltered (and they would because he planned far too grand while alienating too many) but her People would not be touched by this chaos. Outside Force Users never boded well for them.
+ Falling into a new role, Solus ended up as the Moff of the Mandalorian Sector in place of Gar Saxon’s puny governorship. He met an untimely demise from death given former. Lumi became her “bodyguard”.
+ Bo-Katan (Solus’ other riduur) and Fenn (Lumi’s not-boyfriend at the time) did worry over them. Getting mixed up with the Empire was a dangerous game to play. Bo witnessed first hand what happened when her riduur tangled with dar-jetii and did not want Solus to meet the same fate. Fenn doubted the whole thing in general because Lumi had already survived so much. Yet, she continued to put her in the line of fire.
+ For everyone’s safety, Jazari stopped interacting with them at all. She could not bring that kind of chaos to her family’s doorstep and in case it blew up. Well, the Twins would need a home and she would provide for them.
+ Sidious, of course, planned on Solus and Lumi to double cross him. Solus would always be more loyal to Mandalore than him or anyone else. And Lumi was loyal to Solus. But, he let them pretend to play their brilliant games and try to one up the Empire.
+ Solus and Lumi were making moves against the Empire but the thing was, Sidious never exactly how they were doing it. Solus put effort into being overtly crooked to cover her tracks with how covertly she was running things.
+ He also underestimated who would be their biggest weapon or the fact that he handed said weapon to them.
+ See, his idea of “instilling cooperation” in Mandalore involved attaching Solus and Lumi to a lot of Darth Vader’s projects. His oversized, caged wardog would make them think twice of fucking him over. If they so much as twitched the wrong way they would be ended.
+ It was exactly what Solus wanted him to do. With her best friends knowledge of what had happened during Order 66, Solus connected a lot of dots. Getting to spend time with Vader to witness his mannerisms and movements coupled with feeling him within the Force answered her question: This was Anakin Skywalker. But, it was not knowledge she could just out and say without revealing her hand. So, her and Lumi played The Long Game.
+ It took several months for them to grow almost friendly with Vader. Solus and Lumi bantered with one another in front of him. Even bantered with him if they felt like pushing their look. First, they had to give him a reason to trust them and that reason became inclusion. When they did things they included him and respected him. Basically gave “Vader” what Anakin Skywalker wanted.
+ Sidious underestimated that bit because clearly he gave Anakin the Power he wanted.
+ Next, came Solus gently broaching the topic of cybernetics with Vader. But, that could not be something said outright. She let him overhear things instead. She would tell Lumi about injuries some of her soldiers sustained (not unlike Vader’s) and how she treated them. It gave him a little trail of breadcrumbs to discover just how needlessly Sidious left him in pain.
+ When he finally started to banter back and train full on with them things shifted. Solus nor Lumi called him Anakin but they did reach the understanding they had shared a Past before. Both would speak with disdain aimed at the Jedi Order (neither really fabricating flaws) to strengthen their mutual bridge of the past.
+ By accident, Solus did open up about what losing Pre was like. She had loved him almost more than anything in this Galaxy or the next. Finding out he died because she was not there to protect him broke her. It was the Truth. This, Truth, however, was also one that Vader had lived.
+ Sidious still let them play their game. He knew they were stoking and putting out rebellions in Mandalore. Solus was a great spy and tactician but he was better. She would lose to him in the end. They all would.
+ Later on, Solus did explain exactly what was done wrong with healing Vader’s body. She sat next to his hulking form to point out where the mistakes were made. The glaring design flaws, the points where comfort was skipped in favor of pain, and more. Her little side comment of, “Physical Pain can fuel a brief rage. It brings the Dark Side more within reach. But, that’s nothing compared to a deep-seated emotional pain that you can draw from. That one provides infinite power.”
+ During these years, Solus and Lumi did venture back and forth to Mandalore. Bo-Katan and Ursa spent the most time with the twins. It hurt but it was better that way. If she died they would not have to mourn her as deeply. And if she lived, then they would have a Mandalore worth growing up in. The childhood she so sorely lacked.
+ Both had discussed with their partners (and had more or less secured some layer of understanding) that seduction could come into play against their enemies. Emotional Manipulation was Emotional Manipulation. It also gave them the chance to fall in with one another again. Because Solus and Lumi would forever be Solus and Lumi.
+ Seducing Vader did happen to shock of all three involved. It started as an emotional affair more or less. Lumi and, especially Solus, provided him the companionship he craved. They offered an intimacy he had been denied for years and it was willing.
+ The physical push to their affair came after a hard won victory. Raiding the Sith Temple had been easy enough. The same could be said with acquiring multiple Jedi artifacts. All of the work came with them putting various tidbits of knowledge together to get a complete picture.
+ It turned out that there was a way to free him from his metal prison. See, the Sith had a very well hidden and high reward means of moving the conscious of one body to another. Overtaking the consciousness of an already occupied body was hard. However, a clone, created specifically for this purpose, would lessen the difficulty of the process. And they happen to know a whole planet of cloners who would easily accept encouragement to help out their cause.
+ Before this victory, Solus and Lumi remained considerate of the types of affection they displayed. Their rule of thumb was nothing that Vader could not be involved in. It was limited to hand holding and quick pecks more or less. Kissing his visor not exactly the same but it was the best they could do.
+ Things went different after the victory though. They moved from quick pecks to full on making out. When they went to stop themselves Vader told them to continue. Turns out what he can’t physically feel on his skin he could feel within the Force or experience through his other senses more of less.
+ Further experimentation revealed that even through leatheris gloves cybernetics have some sensations, especially pressure, and they’re both rather experimental and up for anything twice.
+ (There were promises later about how they would celebrate with his flesh body)
+ Vader, much like the flesh person he was named Anakin, retained many of his strengths and flaws. Namely, he still trusted Sidious too damn much. To combat that Solus and Lumi worked really hard to convince him acquiring a new body would be great surprise to hold on to because they were really out of options. If Vader blew it then they would have fuck all to work with.
+ In the interim of collecting a new body for their unexpected lover and their next discovery (a.k.a. The final nail in Sidious’ coffin) Solus caught up with Maul. Torture is too loving of a word for what she did to him.
+ Solus had years of realizing she had to make two years with one of the loves of her life last for the centuries she would probably live. He took her Manda’lor, her riduur, the father of her children before they could ever knew him. He also displayed no honor in his fight and picked the opponent he knew he would win against. Because she would have destroyed him.
+ Lumi gets in on the torture because she is so done with everything that’s happening. The Dark Side, the Jedi, everything and everyone took and took and took from them. To see the cackling mad failed Sith gave her a target to pin some blame too.
+ Maul lived many weeks on Mustafar in one of the lowest cells. Solus toyed him over and over again. Drug him to the edge of death then brought him back again and again. She suffered and so would he. More than that, he would break. He thought it impossible but she had faith in her skills.
+ In the mornings, she attended to her work with Lumi or Vader or whoever was sent to deal with. Afternoons, when she was around, were devoted to toying with the overgrown pest. While the evenings were spent with her lovers.
+ Her obsession with Maul and how she toyed with him traveled back to Sidious. He took it as confirmation both her and Lumi had slipped over the edge with no hopes of returning. The Dark Side had eaten away at their minds giving him mastery over them as well.
+ Unlucky for him a number of things went off at once that became the beginning of the end. Maybe if he had spent less time full of his ego and more time watching the little pieces move then he may have guessed what was going down.
+ First came Solus pulling off her deepest intention of breaking Maul: learning the location of the Dark Saber. It was never his to take, no matter what he claimed, so it belonged to her. If she did honor his claim with his cowardly version of Kyr’tsad…well she had to beat him to capture him and it passed to her.
+ Next came the actual retrieval of the Dark Saber from Dathomir. With it came a slew of Sith Artifacts, Nightsister regalia, and also the knowledge that a particularly powerful holocron could be found on Malachor.
+ Setting her sights on Malachor with Lumi they nabbed the holocron. During a deep dive of reading the contents they learned another very important thing: Sith practiced an art that allowed someone to convert one’s life force into fuel for a different person. However, it would kill them.
+ Returning to their second home on Mustafar, they began a second deep dive into Vader’s medical records. It quickly became apparent that he should have died. Burns of that caliber combined with the loss of limbs and everything else left Solus certain that not even the blessing of the Force could have saved him. But…a wrinkled Sith Lord with delusions of grandeur could help.
+ Before presenting their findings they made one final hunt for information: the death of Padme Amidala. Which turned into a lot of digging and searching to find anything nearing truths. But, they found enough to draw conclusions. Anakin did not kill Padme but Sidious did.
+ New body ready (with the help of several detained Kaminoans kept in an undisclosed location) they helped Vader make the transfer to his new body. Both blocked out their concerns because they needed this to happen. Yes, it had started as revenge against Sidious but now it was something more. They loved Vader and he deserved reparations for what Sidious had done to him.
+ Once he’d safely adapted his Clone Body next came the truths spilling out one after another. They told him how they thought Padme had died with proof of how a Sith could channel life from one to another. Solus broke down the exact flaws in the suit and his medical procedures he received. Where he was intentionally fucked over to better serve Sidious’ grand plans. Her final point being that he intention trapped him within a metal body, dependant upon a life support system that could be destroyed by the Force Lightning Vader was barred from using.
+ Lumi added in that the asshole may have even thought himself strong enough to conquer his mind (the one he so carefully corrupted to the Dark Side) in hopes of gaining his body in the beginning. A cherry on top of everything else that happened.
+ Darth Sidious never stood a chance. Vader he could control and that had always been his intention. But, a flesh and blood Anakin Skywalker? He had no hopes of surviving that. As Solus had mentioned to him years before: Emotional Pain causes a rage Physical Pain will never match.
+ Lumi and Solus laughed as Sidious died. Solus was capable of a power the likes of which he never understood and possessed a mind he had underestimated.
+ From there, the Empire does fall quickly into shambles. Solus is granted full control of Mandalore with all soldiers of the Empire to be removed immediately. She quickly turns over control of Mandalore to Bo-Katan. As checkered as her past had become she held true to the belief that “I am meant to guide the Dark Saber but never truly wield it.”
+ Anakin trying to lead anything was Interesting. Lumi made not so subtle suggestions of exactly what the could do for Ryloth and planets ruled by the Hutts. Solus winced while trying to explaining politics to Anakin “The General Disaster” Skywalker and Lumi. Granted, Lumi was fully prepared to return to Mandalore and watch this chaos from afar.
+ Lumi was the one who suggested trying to patch things up with friends of the past i.e. Captain Rex, Ahsoka Tano, or even Obi-Wan Kenobi. Basically anyone who could help positively influence Anakin into a subtle transition of power.
+ It really took hold when it came with the suggestion that he very much still had time to become a fantastic father. He would just have to work on some things. But, the best one would be starting with setting the Galaxy right again by handing power back to the People.
+ Relationship wise they kind of maintained their own little Thing. Solus and Lumi knew they were never fully step into what the Jedi Order considered the Light again. But, they were fine with that. They’d never been very good Jedi anyway.
+ Solus returned to spending the bulk of her time with Bo-Katan and her children happily handling Clan Vetra things as well as offering her political savvy as needed. When Anakin had adjusted well enough she even began to bring the Twins around “Ani’ba’vodu”.
+ Lumi finally got the relationship with Fenn she had waited for. It took a lot of time and work to get a point where they felt comfortable but it did happen.
+ Anakin was free to seek out whatever relationship he so wished. They loved him with an ultimately true, honest love. But, they would help him seek out other relationships if he so choose. It would be unfair to demand he twist himself to fit entirely into the relationships and lives they were returning too.
+ Anakin Skywalker was finally free and deserved to truly experience it.

Wish you would write a fic where obi wan loses his memories after order66 and runs into vader (mustafar fight never happens)
Okay, when I first saw this, I had SO MANY QUESTION. But I figured something out. Not sure if this is even remotely what you expected but I had fun! :D
There’s something coming.
‘Bi has no frame of reference for exactly what, but he has a bad feeling about it. The varactyls who have taken him into their lounge[1] are agitated, keeping closer to their nesting grounds than usual. Boga refuses to leave his side for even a moment, though she has stayed close ever since he’d washed ashore with her all those months ago, only a scant handful of memories to call his own.
They had been shot at, the blaster holes in his clothes and the burns scoring Boga’s side clear evidence of that -- and incentive enough for him to stay hidden away with the varactyls. He has avoided contact with anyone, but especially with the troopers in white armor milling around the closest city. Over the months, the troopers’ presence has diminished, though not disappearing entirely, and ‘Bi[2] still hides, something within him, the same something that allows him to connect with Boga and the others, telling him that something terrible has happened out in the galaxy, that he mustn't be found. Someone had wanted him, whomever he’d been, dead, and he must keep up that illusion.
He has spent months living with the varactyls, living off the land with the knowledge left from his missing past. He tries to recall his memories, but is entirely unsuccessful. The feeling of being...hunted had faded as time had passed, but now that feeling is back.
Suddenly, a strange howl fills the air, and he and the varactyls look up as almost one as a small, black starfighter streaks across the sky, heading for the encampment of troopers just outside the city. Whoever is coming, they’re after him, he thinks.
He’s morbidly curious about this newcomer, but an insistent and anxious Boga has him climbing onto her back. They flee, the lounge of varactyls swiftly climbing up and down the rough terrain, farther and farther away from the city.
They are found anyways.
A gunship descends onto the mesa where they’d chosen to rest for the night. They hold themselves silent and still, hidden behind the rocky outcrops in hopes of not being detected. ‘Bi spies through a slit between two slabs of rock as a man jumps out of the gunship before it even lands, his black cloak fluttering in his wake. One trooper jumps after him from a more reasonable height, a long blaster rifle in his hands.
The man in black stalks forward, head turning left and right as he searches. His face is familiar. Somehow, ‘Bi knows him -- no, he had known him, but not this man before him now. This man feels like a jagged, festering wound, like fury and despair and pain all rolled into a miasma. His eyes are--wrong, glowing gold in the dimming light even at a distance.
“I sense him. He’s here,” growls the man in black.
“He’s not dead after all?” comes the distorted voice of the trooper through his visored helmet.
“If he was dead, I would have felt it,” the man says. “As it is--”
‘Bi scrambles back as the man abruptly lunges forward and, a molten red-bladed sword in hand, cuts apart the rock formation he’d been hiding behind. A lightsaber, the word comes to him as he shields his face from the smoldering debris.
“Obi-wan, you’re looking rough,” the man drawls, looming over him with his saber halfway extended towards ‘Bi.
“I--oh, that is my name, isn’t it?” 'Bi remarks as he gets to his feet. Obi-wan. Obi-wan Kenobi.
“What do you mean--" the man falters. "Of course that's your name. What are you playing at?" He scowls, and Obi-wan stiffens as the man fully extends his saber at his throat.
He remembers then holding a lightsaber once, remembers the live wire heft of holding one. A blue one, not screaming red like the one at his throat. His lightsaber.
Now, he thinks, would certainly be a good time to have it, as the man glares down at him with those sickly yellow eyes.
"As I only have memories of the last few months, the Obi-wan you knew is...not present, so to speak," he says.
The man huffs. "That's the game you want to play? Surely the Negotiator can lie better than that--no, I know you can, with all the lies you've --"
He's interrupted by a screech as Boga leaps out from cover at him.
"Boga, don't!" With alarm, Obi-wan raises an arm as if that would prevent her from lunging at the man.
The man twists his face into a snarl and holds his free hand out towards her, fingers curling almost like claws. With a whine, Boga collapses onto the ground next to Obi-wan, head flailing and limbs scrambling against the dirt.
"Boga." Obi-wan senses her pain sharply and strokes a hand over her feathered head as if that would soothe and shield her from what the man is doing to her. "Let her go, Anakin!"
The name just slips out.
Pain rips through his head as a smattering of memories return to him.
Anakin. Jedi Knight. The "Hero with No Fear." His former student. His friend. His brother.
He recognizes nothing of the boy or man he'd once known in the man before him.
"Anakin Skywalker was weak, and he is dead. I am Darth Vader," Anakin declares, and only after a few long moments, as if to prove a point, does he drop his hand.
Boga slumps to the ground with a weak whine, and Obi-wan continues to stroke her head.
"That was much too dangerous, my dear," he tells her. "Don't you worry about me, I'll be alright."
"So sure of yourself, aren't you?" remarks Vader. "What was it you always lectured me about? 'Your lightsaber is your life?' Well, your lightsaber is gone, which means, so is your life.”
Vader raises his saber, ready to strike Obi-wan down right there.
But Obi-wan is distracted.
He should have realized. Varactyls are remarkably loyal creatures, and they had just spent months protecting him. They certainly aren’t going to stop now, as suddenly, trills fill the air. The entire lounge of varactyls charges out from all different directions, having taken the time to encircle them -- to encircle Vader.
Obi-wan knows though, that Vader would have no qualms cutting every single one of them down -- and looks ready to do so, pivoting to the nearest approaching varactyl and changing the grip on his saber as if he’s about to use it as a throwing spear.
“No!” Obi-wan shouts, and through pure instinct, gathers up the something that’s been guiding him -- the Force -- and pushes with both hands.
The invisible shove sends Vader flying into the air with a yelp, lightsaber slipping from his hand --
Though this outcome does not surprise him nearly as much as seeing the trooper swing his rifle like a bat at just the right timing to send Vader off the edge of the mesa, Vader’s enraged roar trailing after him[3].
As the varactyls skid to a halt in a protective circle around him and Boga, Obi-wan gapes at the trooper, who takes a moment to look over the edge to follow Vader’s descent, before turning to Obi-wan. The trooper takes off his helmet, revealing a face identical to all the others save for a scar curving around his left eye and down the side of his face.
“General, we should leave. I can’t say how long that will actually hold him,” the trooper says, gesturing to the gunship, where more helmetless troopers happen to peer out of the doors.
Obi-wan squints at the trooper, taking in that distinctive scar, the left shoulder antenna, and the remnants of orange paint scratched off the armor.
Crossing his arms, he remarks, “My memories might not be all here, but I’m fairly certain you shot at us.”
The trooper grimaces and brushes a hand over a surgical scar on the side of his head. Obi-wan hadn't noticed it before.
“I would never willingly shoot you, sir,” the trooper says. “...they put chips in our heads, turned us into drones the moment the...Emperor said the right words.”
Obi-wan relaxes a bit, sensing the truth in those words, though that is a rather messy and likely painful subject to revisit at a more...appropriate time and setting.
“You...weren’t bluffing about the memories?” asks the trooper with a deep frown.
“Unfortunately not. They seem to be coming back though, in bits and pieces.”
“Oh, well then, Cody, at your service. I was your second before...well, before.”
More than that, he’d been a dear and trusted friend, Obi-wan senses, before the terrible things had happened. There are things, he suspects, that can never be fixed, but their friendship will not be one of them.
“We better get going, sir,” Cody says.
Obi-wan makes to join him, but stops when the varactyls crowd around him. With a smile, he reaches out pat each of their heads.
“Thank you for your help, all of you,” he tells them. “I wouldn’t have made it all this time without you.”
They nip at his clothes and hair and bump his shoulders before edging away, and Boga bounds forward to his side, now recovered. He strokes her feathered head for a moment.
“I guess this is where we part ways then, Boga. You’ve been a wonderful friend. Do take care of yourself, all right?”
But as he goes to join Cody then, Boga trills and follows him. He raises an eyebrow at her, but he can sense her devotion, her intent to continue following him wherever that may be.
“I...don’t think that’s the best idea, my dear,” he says, “Your home is here. Your friends and family are here.” But she trills again and even begins walking to the gunship without them.
“She’s welcome to come along, sir, there’s plenty of room where we’re going,” Cody says, failing utterly to not look like he’s smirking at Obi-wan.
“And where exactly are we going?” Obi-wan asks.
“To the Rebellion, of course.”
Notes:
[1]A collective of lizards is apparently a “lounge of lizards” and since varactyls are lizard-like I went with that lol
[2] Obi-wan calls himself ‘Bi because that’s what it sounds like when the varactyls are specifically calling him.
[3] For visualization, please see Lumi’s gif at the end of this post with Cody using his rifle as a baseball bat.
Vader!Anakin’s speech patterns annoy me so much but they are what they are *sigh*.
I kept accidentally referring to varactyls as vacteryls because there’s a medical syndrome called VACTERL alskdfjlkasj

Hi Lumi! Question for you: do you consider Ahsoka to be a Jedi? I'm somewhat conflicted, because she herself famously says 'I am no Jedi', but she still follows the Jedi teachings, and others look to her as an authority on Jedi teachings. Her Mandalorian episode is even called The Jedi, though admittedly that could be from Din's perspective. But she doesn't help to raise the Temple on Lothal in Rebels, saying it's better left for Kanan and Ezra and that she left the Jedi Order, but we know that she eventually wanted to make her way back. There seems to be a lot of evidence for both opinions, so I was wondering your perspective. Have a good day!
Hi! I think, if you absolutely forced me to give an answer, I would say, no, Ahsoka is not a Jedi. Certainly not before Malachor, she doesn't consider herself a Jedi!  While she is very much a light side user, she's not wholly following Jedi teachings--she has spent too long in denial over the truth about Anakin, she’s not facing her emotions about it or letting them go. The Lothal Temple has to smack her in the face with the truth about him, and while she’s not a Jedi, she’s Jedi-adjacent and in tune with Jedi things, so the Jedi Temple there reaches out to her, the Force shows her this truth she’s been denying for so long. It shows her her guilt, “Where were you when I needed you?  You abandoned me!  You failed me!  Do you know what I’ve become?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Ahsoka’s guilt and pain made manifest, the pain she’s been carrying around since 19 BBY, and hasn’t truly faced it.  It upsets her so much, that she screams, “No!” and whirls around with her lightsaber ignited to lash out at the images haunting her. This and her willingness to seek revenge for Anakin Skywalker are what lead her to say, “I am no Jedi.”  It’s not a rejection of the Jedi, it’s her saying that she cannot uphold those ideals of the Jedi, so she’s not one. But it’s also complicated in that she had the choice stolen from her, she can’t be a Jedi, because the Jedi aren’t around for her to go back to.  She says “not yet” when Yoda asks if she did her duty as a Jedi.  She looks hopeful when the war is ending and it’s right on the heels of that conversation with Yoda.  She says “lost faith in us” when being unfair with Obi-Wan. She wanted to go back.  But then that chance to set things right was stolen from her, ripped away from her by Anakin and Sidious, so she’s never gone back, because she doesn’t feel she can. She doesn’t let go of the pain and guilt she holds for what happened with Anakin. But once she faces him again, I think that’s where Ahsoka might start on her path back to the Jedi, because that’s when she’s forced to face himself and her own feelings about him.  She accepts that this is who he is, this is what he chose, this is Anakin Skywalker who became Darth Vader. She accepts that she couldn’t save him. “You can’t save your Master.  And I can’t save mine.” If Ahsoka has found her way back to being a Jedi--and I’m not sure she has, I think perhaps with Luke being there, she’s stepped aside because the galaxy  no longer needs her to be a Jedi and the Jedi she wanted to be isn’t possible anymore, because all of the Jedi she knew are dead, there’s no one to go back to, not in the way that she wanted--it’s only after Malachor. But I don’t think she’s (by the time of The Mandalorian) considering herself not a Jedi in the same way, either.  She certainly doesn’t make as much of a fuss about it with Din assuming she’s a Jedi, but neither is she willing to teach Grogu. Whether that’s because she doesn’t consider herself a Jedi or because she knows that she can’t do it, not with how badly scarred she was from Anakin’s fall to attachments, that she’ll never be able to look at Grogu for Grogu’s sake, instead of seeing Anakin looming over him, or because she just thinks Luke is meant for this, it’s hard to say. If you press me on it, I’ll say, no, Ahsoka’s not a Jedi.  She was raised as a Jedi, she is who they helped her grow into being, but the Jedi Order isn’t around for her to go back to, whatever Luke builds from here on out, it’s not her path as a Jedi.  Her path as a Jedi died when Anakin marched into the Temple, even if Yoda’s vision on Malachor or his Force Ghost would say that she was welcome back any time, I think without her Jedi Order to go back to, she may not ever consider herself a Jedi again, not in the way where she states it with conviction.  It’s not a rejection of the Jedi Order, it’s that her life went in another direction because of what happened in the galaxy.

Darth Lumis is, to this date, the most superior Sith! Obi Wan name. Like, no one else ever achieved this level of absolute perfection
god i’ve had this ask sitting here for MONTHS now and i KEEP FORGETTING to answer,,, smh
anyway thank you anon!! the name was originally... kind of a joke really? i needed a sith name for kenobi but couldn’t come up with shit and ended up being like, i’m literally just gonna name him darth light. i don’t have any better ideas i don’t even care any more! and i’m pretty sure a bunch of ppl made fun of it back then, rightfully so, but honestly? it just Works, doesn’t it. it’s literally fuckin perfect for him. (especially if you believe, and i do, that it’s the force itself that chooses those names and just reveals them to the masters taking on sith apprentices. imagine the force telling you that the name of your new shiny evil sith apprentice is darth light. hm. Dooku Has A Bad Feeling But Chooses To Ignore It)

Do you believe that Anakin and Padme are reunited in the afterlife? I know some fans say that George confirmed they are but I was reading a blogger gffa's (Lumi) meta talking about how it goes against all the worldbuilding of how non-Force-sensitives cannot retain their consciousness in the Force after death so Anakin would only be able to speak to Shmi and Padme through the memories he has of them. That saddens me greatly tbh and honestly don't believe that considering certain things.
Kind of. But before I get into that let me explain that the idea force-sensitives and non-force-users can’t ‘mingle’ in the afterlife is incorrect. It’s actually supported by movie canon, George lucas and Disney’s canon. Only force-sensitive can become force-ghosts but that doesn’t mean the SW’s version of heaven is for force-users only.
It was something that was *always* meant to be part of the sw lore.
"In the rough draft Luke is asleep and struggling with thoughts of Vader and the dark side. Yoda and Ben are also present in the dream, and Luke berates Ben for not telling him that Vader is his father. Yoda explains that he'll soon be joining Ben in the Netherworld, and therefore he'll become stronger and will be better able to help Luke. Vader's voice reappears, and Luke awakens" ―First mention of the Netherworld in Episode VI's rough draft
Movie/Disney Canon:
“An old friend has learned the path to immortality. One who has returned from the netherworld of the Force.”  Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Original Canon (EU):
“Anakin, listen carefully,” Obi-Wan interrupted. “You are in the netherworld of the Force, but if you ever wish to revisit corporeal space, then I still have one thing left to teach you. A way to become one with the Force. If you choose this path to immortality, then you must listen now, before your consciousness fades.” Obi-Wan sensed confusion and remorse in Anakin’s psyche, then Anakin answered, “But Master … why me?” “Because you ended the horror, Anakin,” Obi-Wan said. “Because you fulfilled the prophecy. Because you were … and are … the Chosen One.” But Obi-Wan knew in his heart that those were not the only reasons. He added, “Because I was wrong about you. And because I am your friend.” Anakin answered quietly, “Thank you, Master.” [Ryder Windham’s The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi]
It does seem George himself said Anakin reunited with his loved ones after death. I couldn’t find the actual sources but I did find many fans claiming it’s true. Either way, there’s plenty of evidence to support this, even though the form they are ‘reunited’ is not the same one would expect from the Christian concepts of heaven and hell.
Every living being that dies goes to the same place: they become one the force. Padmé, Shmi, Qui-Gon, Anakin, Obi-wan, etc. They all go tot eh same place.
"[During the early story sessions for ESB] George Lucas and Leigh Brackett had lengthy discussions about Luke's training with Yoda and decided to turn the lessons into proverbs and commandments. ... The Force also was discussed in great detail. In the story meeting transcripts George Lucas defined the Force as follows: The act of living generates a force field, an energy. That energy surrounds us; when we die, that energy joins with all the other energy. There is a giant mass of energy in the universe that has a good side and a bad side. We are part of the Force because we generate the power that makes the Force live. When we die, we become part of that Force, so we never really die; we continue as part of the Force."  Annotated Screenplays
It seems they don’t maintain their identities unless they are trained and that only lasts for song long. Most people would die and become one with the Force. A few trained force-sensitive swere able to maintain their identities and presence in the physical real for a time. But they too could choose to join the Force with the others later (like Obi-wan and Anakin did). So, in a way, yes, Anakin and Obi-wan were reunited in the afterlife. Just not as ghosts or even themselves (on the ‘traditional’ sense).
“I strengthened the Alliance, although that was not my intent.” He extended a glimmering arm. The mellow voice sounded wrong. The mild, naked face didn’t look as if it’d hidden for decades behind a black breath mask. “Leia, things are changing. I may never be able to return to you.” [Kathy Tyers. The Truce at Bakura]
“Luke?” The voice came softly but insistently. Pausing amid the familiar landscape of Tatooine—familiar, yet oddly distorted—Luke Skywalker turned to look. An equally familiar figure stood there watching him. “Hello, Ben,” Luke said, his voice sounding sluggish in his ears. “Been a long time.” “It has indeed,” Obi-wan Kenobi said gravely. “And I’m afraid that it will be longer still until the next time. I’ve come to say good-bye, Luke.” The landscape seemed to tremble; and abruptly, a small part of Luke’s mind remembered that he was asleep. Asleep in his suite in the Imperial Palace, and dreaming of Ben Kenobi. “No, I’m not a dream,” Ben assured him, answering Luke’s unspoken thought. “But the distances separating us have become too great for me to appear to you in any other way. Now, even this last path is being closed to me.” “No,” Luke heard himself say. “You can’t leave us, Ben. We need you.” Ben’s eyebrows lifted slightly, and a hint of his old smile touched his lips. “You don’t need me, Luke. You are a Jedi, strong in the Force.” The smile faded, and for a moment his eyes seemed to focus on something Luke couldn’t see. “At any rate,” he added quietly, “the decision is not mine to make. I have lingered too long already, and can no longer postpone my journey from this life to what lies beyond.” A memory stirred: Yoda on his deathbed, and Luke pleading with him not to die. Strong am I in the Force, the Jedi Master had told him softly. But not that strong. “It is the pattern of all life to move on,” Ben reminded him. “You, too, will face this same journey one day.” Again, his attention drifted away, then returned. […] The vision seemed to waver and become fainter. “And now, farewell,” Ben said, as if he hadn’t heard the question. “I loved you as a son, and as a student, and as a friend. Until we meet again, may the Force be with you.” […] For a moment he just lay there, staring at the dim lights of the Imperial City playing across the ceiling above his bed and struggling through the sleep-induced disorientation. The disorientation, and an immense weight of sadness that seemed to fill the core of his being. First Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru had been murdered; then Darth Vader, his real father, had sacrificed his own life for Luke’s; and now even Ben Kenobi’s spirit had been taken away. For the third time, he’d been orphaned. [Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn]
What happens after that it’s open to interpretation. George Lucas borrowed a lot of concepts from many religions and if the thought of Anakin and Padmé’s reuniting in their afterlife is comforting to you then that’s what happened. There’s no right or wrong here. There’s only what works for us. Some may see this as the final end and other will see a new beginning.
