One thing about Frankie that no one could deny: he was always in the market for new business ventures. Whether that was investing in his sister's yoga studio, putting money towards a local business getting its footing in the area, or even opening up his own shop with one of his best friends, you could bet the former ballplayer was in it one-hundred and ten percent. Besides, with how busy Frankie was on any given day between work and his personal life, it was nice to have an excuse to hang out with Mac. "Hey brother," Frankie greeted with a smile, letting the door swing close and following the male towards the back room. "Girls are good. I've gotta go to a parent-teacher conference for Emmy next week -- apparently she's been talking back in class. Like father like daughter I guess," he couldn't help but smirk, shaking his head. "What about you, what's happening? How's Ma?"
CLOSED START FOR: @frankcarlisle LOCATION: the bodega (mccarlisle's), fishtown
When Frankie had suggested that he and Mac invest in a small business, he'd not thought twice about it, having been single and having accumulated a great amount of savings because of it. It was a steady and tidy income, something that didn't require a great deal of maintenance on Mac's part, and was a way for he and Frankie to bond. They'd been friends for most of his life, so it meant something that they could be business partners, too. When the door chimed, only a few minutes past when they'd agreed to meet to go over quarterlies, he looked up with a small smile. "Hey man." He nodded, scooping up his laptop and gesturing towards their back room. "How are the girls doing?" He knew not to ask about Willa â their wives in general were just a poor topic of conversation for the pair, and worse still that they'd married into the same family.

closed start for @darragh-mcgregor
Haley had been laying in bed, wide awake, for nearly thirty minutes listening for any sign her husband was still in the house. Because, naturally, she had taken to avoiding him after... the incident in his truck. In their yard, like two teenagers who couldn't keep their hands off one another. Haley groaned. What had she been thinking? She knew the answer was simply that she hadn't been thinking at all. And now... Now she had no clue how to face him.
When she was finally convinced that he was either still sleeping or had already left for work, she pulled herself out of bed and readied herself for the day, eventually padding into the kitchen. The lack of coffee should have tipped her off. Despite the distance between them, Darragh had taken to making sure she at least had that. She wondered if it was his way of trying to take care of her when she had so fully shut him out. But, nevertheless, the fact that the pot sat empty now was a sure sign that he was still there.
She had to be quick then. But, of course, the coffee maker didn't want to cooperate and she was standing there in the kitchen, smacking her palm against the side of the machine when he walked in. "Morning," Haley said softly without fully turning to look at him, as she ran her hands through her hair in frustration. "Looks like it finally gave out."

HALEY MCGREGORÂ our JANET MONTGOMERYÂ is looking for her EX-BOYFRIEND. They are 35-45 years old and people say they looks like SCOTT SPEEDMAN, RAYMOND ABLACK, JUSTIN BALDONI, SAM PAGEÂ or UTP. You DOÂ need contact LENNYÂ ( linked in the source ) first.
Description:
Haley and this man were in a serious relationship throughout her time in college/med school. (He could also be in the medical field, but that's not required and is completely UTP.) The two dated for several years and once upon a time, Haley truly believed they were happy. Eventually, her parents started hinting toward marriage and pushing the idea on them both. But, Haley was too preoccupied with her job and working at the clinic to ever really give the idea a second thought and it led to some tension between them. As things came to a natural end, she ended up meeting and quickly marrying Darragh (played by Darby).
Recently, her marriage has been experiencing a slew of hardships and I think there's potential for Haley to bump into this ex (probably designed by her parents, lbr they were devastated when things ended & hate her husband) or maybe even actively seek them out while she's in a bad place. Basically, give me all the drama + messy romantic connections, please.

"I don't know. I seem to remember a few mornings where you didn't wake up first and put a full face of make-up on." Darragh had acted like he hadn't noticed, of course, hadn't felt the weight shift in the bed when she'd snuck out of it, or ever questioned how she seemed to always wake up with minty fresh breath. That was just Madi's way. He'd never felt the need to question it. "But don't worry. It's only my word, no physical evidence. For all intents and purposes, this is exactly how you wake up every morning."
Darragh raised his eyebrows, smile on his lips as he nodded along with Madi's summation. "The only college-ready thing about me." He'd not been a poor student by any stretch (Maeve McGregor would have never allowed idle hands), but he just hadn't been interested in post-secondary education. He'd wanted to work, wanted a vocation to dedicate his life to. He'd never felt a need for wealth or excess. He liked to work with his hands and feel like he made a difference in someone's life now and again. "Yeah, I know." He admitted, smile waning ever so slightly. "It's always been this easy, hasn't it?" Darragh asked, shifting his body towards her, focusing in. "No stress, no arguments, just... You and me." He hung on the notion, brow knitting briefly. "And you're a lot less stressful than your brother." Darragh added to lighten the mood, half-laugh passing his lips.
Madi only offered a small shrug followed by a sly grin. She had always been one to look her best, even if she spent a few extra minutes in the mirror before coming tonight. "When have you ever known me not to look my best?" She teased, before thanking the bartender as he set the glass of wine in front of her. This was a dangerous game the two of them were playing, and yet, there she was - happily sitting beside the same married man she had all those months ago. It was as if he had been a weakness of hers.
"Like a true college girl. I respect that." A small laugh fell from her lips before she took a sip from her glass. Once upon a time that same drink was a staple in her daily routine. Up until she had Dean she was still going out every night, and while the partying had died down - there was still a part of her that missed that part of her life. "Mac, you know you could have just called me. My number has never changed." Madi reminded, before letting a small smile grow across her lips. "But this is nice. It's easy."

Watch: Conor McGregor knocks down Paulie Malignaggi in sparring session
The gloves are coming off.
After Conor McGregor and former sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi went back and forth over their training sessions, Dana White has decided to show some tape.
The UFC president released video of McGregor and Malignaggi sparring on his Twitter page:
Here is the video everyone wanted to see of Conor vs Paulie Malignaggi former IBF and WBA World Champion @TheNotoriousMMA pic.twitter.com/GfFP3SKsye
â Dana White (@danawhite) August 12, 2017
 --------
Story updated above.
Boxer Jessie Vargas alleges Conor McGregor was knocked out while sparring The UFC superstar has been training for his Floyd Mayweather Jr. superfightâand Vargas' claims have been attracting attention.
The worldwide press tour for the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. boxing match saw plenty of insults, trash talk, flashy watches, and mink coats, but not much fighting. And now that the two fighters are done with the main promotion for the fight, they can get back to training.
But according to one fighter, McGregor might need some extra time in the gym.
[RELATED1]
American boxer Jessie Vargas, a former two-weight world champion, spoke with Villainfy Media and said that he heard from other boxers that McGregor has already gone down in training.
"He got knocked out in sparring already, man!" Vargas said, according to Darragh Murphy of Joe.co.uk. âThe boxing world is small; it's a small circle.â
McGregor's team responded to the knockout reports, disputing the take by Vargas. McGregor's managment spoke with The Telegraph and said: "The guy mentioned by Jessie Vargas is Brandon Rios, not Brad Wheeler. Neither have sparred with Conor."
Hereâs Vargas on the video:
Of course, it's important to note that no other source has independently verified Vargas' claimsâso for right now, he's the only person who has suggested that McGregor was "knocked out" in his training sessions.
[RELATED2]
No matter how good McGregor gets in his training, the collective Vegas wisdom is that the Irish UFC champion faces long odds against Mayweather in the boxing ring on August 26. McGregor has never partook in a professional boxing match, and while heâs a champion UFC fighter, boxing is a very different sport.
The press tour brought plenty of headlines for McGregor and Mayweather, and, with just weeks before the actual fight, expect a few more interesting stories until then.

While Darragh didnât envy Frankieâs marriage (in the slightest) he did yearn for something as trivial as a parent-teacher conference. He wanted that, the mundane family life. But, as Darragh had recently begun to muse, that simply may not be in the cards for him. Not every person fulfilled every dream â he would have to find other ways to fulfill himself. âNo surprise there.â Darragh laughed softly, brow raising at his friend. âNothing crazy. Maâs the same as always. She said to stop by on Sunday if you want some of her sauce. Sheâs canning this week, so you can take it to go. After you get grilled, of course.â Frankie was practically family, if not by blood then by sheer presence and association. For Maeve McGregor, what was one more mouth to feed at that point? âI actually ran into Madi, the other day.â He noted almost absentmindedly. He wanted to gauge what Frankie knew â had Willa mentioned anything? Probably not. But what he wasnât sure of is if Madi had. Did Frankie know what Darragh had dragged his sister into? Heâd hoped not. If Frankie was going to know, Darragh would prefer it came from his own lips. âI donât know if you had a chance to go over the spreadsheets, but everything seems to be on track, target-wise.â He explained carefully, turning his laptop for Frankie to scroll through if he so wished. âI um â Really wanted to talk to you about something else, actually.â
One thing about Frankie that no one could deny: he was always in the market for new business ventures. Whether that was investing in his sister's yoga studio, putting money towards a local business getting its footing in the area, or even opening up his own shop with one of his best friends, you could bet the former ballplayer was in it one-hundred and ten percent. âI will not name this new opening a wound. Here this is no pain I didnât beg for.â
DARRAGHÂ âMACâ MCGREGOR
Age: 40 Gender and pronouns: Male, He/Him Occupation: Firefighter Neighborhood: Manayunk
BIOGRAPHY
tw: miscarriage, infidelity
When Darragh had been born to the McGregor clan, heâd been the 11th child of Padraig and Maeve McGregor â the last of the Irish kings, as his mother would often say. He was the son of immigrants, raised by his mother and father, older siblings, aunts and uncles and the entire Irish-American community that surrounded them in Fishtown. There was never much money, but Darragh would always happily say he had lived a privileged life as a young boy, never for lack of laughter or companionship in a home that was always jam-packed.Â
And while he was the last out the door, there was no relief in his parents eyes to send him off, even if it was only a few blocks away to his first apartment. Some of his older siblings had made big of themselves, some of the first college graduates in their bloodline. For Darragh, he was so brought up on the sense of community that his family had prioritized that heâd never wanted to leave, and found that his lifeâs work, that of being a firefighter, kept him true to his roots. He joined the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, went to mass every Sunday, and by all means was a good Irish Catholic boy and loyal son of Philadelphia.Â
There were great romances, certainly â Darragh had long envied the ease at which it seemed his siblings had all lined up in a row for marriage and children, those nieces and nephews growing older by the second it sometimes felt like. In that respect, heâd felt left behind, always maintaining a fear of letting anyone too close, never certain how his family would receive them, or how theyâd fit in. So he focused on work, focused on his friendships and his family, on the regular Friday night haunts, Sunday afternoons spent at his parents with the rest of the McGregor ilk as they recovered from mass. It was all deeply fulfilling, enough so that Darragh put to rest questions of his future, of a wife or of children. And while his family was rather old fashioned about all of that, they soon let up, recognizing that in his time, he would find his way.
And that path became abundantly clear the first time he met Haley Norris â a woman who by all means was so far out of his league they werenât even playing the same sport. It must have been the second or third date when heâd parked the car in front of his parents house on a fateful Sunday afternoon, as it hadnât taken very long at all for him to conclude that this was the woman of his life, for better or worse. And despite their differences of background and upbringing, Haley was a perfect fit.Â
From there life moved quickly, the pair was living together, soaking up those privileged hours they werenât working sometimes opposite schedules. And in those windows of respite, a miracle greeted them. A baby, something wholly theirs. Darragh knew that this was how it was all meant to be, that while it hadnât happened in the traditional order, that it was right, and with the right person. In promising Haley everything would be alright, he slid his claddagh ring on to her ring finger with the promise of forever â and even acquiesced to a quickie ceremony at city hall over the labors of a large Catholic wedding.Â
Only life, for the very first time, lost its luster. They had become a statistic, and in that Darragh and Haley became unmoored â from reality, and each-other. As Haley turned inward, Darragh found he was useless, and his emotions were quickly repressed as he felt he had to be strong, strong for Haley and for himself. Their marriage was placed on the backburner as they tried to wade their way through individual grief, pain they had not been equipped to navigate together. Once Haley had turned away, Darragh found that late nights at his favorite haunt would reacquaint him with a former flame, someone who once upon a time, heâd considered having a life with, when everything had been far less complicated. And in a moment of weakness⊠Darragh had behaved out of character.
The guilt ate away at him, following him around like a shadow day-in and day-out with no respite. Confession did little to ease his burden, the Church no longer a haven. He couldnât speak to his family about it, knowing that for his crime there was no retribution from alternative sources. He would have to confess his sins to Haley, even if it meant losing her.Â
While Darragh was unprepared for her to throw out a lifeline when she did â he knew he couldnât accept it without her knowing the truth, the whole truth, even if he lost her forever. She was only in the guest room now, but there were oceans between them, and no clear path forward as to any hope of salvation for their union.Â

"Yeah...one of the Spartan ones or something. It's about six of us guys training together. And yes, I'm doing this against my better judgment." It was funny to see the lot of them each a few months to a few years closer to forty trying to get fit and back into their spry and young shape of their twenties. Luca had always had a regular workout regime, but this entire ordeal was on another level all together. Albeit, Luca was actually enjoying himself more than he initially thought. It looked like he was gaining a new row of abs which was a nice touch too.
"Practicing your stripper routine down the fire pole too? And they say you guys are lazy," he joked. How Darragh had the balls to run into a fiery furnace was beyond Luca. He knew he wasn't even close to being that selfish to put his life on the line for a random human being. It was a tough and thankless job. It gave Luca such a huge admiration and respect for his friend. "Ah okay. I'll reach out to her and maybe we can schedule something together down the line." Thanking the barista for his drink, he took a sip before asking his friend another question. "I'm trying to plan a guy's weekend in the Catskills. You interested?"
There were few relationships in Darragh's life that he felt were stable at that time, and the least of which would have been a relative of his wife's, but, Luca's reaction unnerved Darragh, as he'd expected something wholly different. "Triathlon?" Darragh whistled out a low tune. "I think my brothers and I once, and very hungover, tried to run the marathon here. I'm not sure how far I made it." He could feel his anxiety ebbing from his body as it was clear that either Luca didn't know, or, perhaps, didn't think it was his business. It was a marked difference from his sister, certainly.
"Oh, you know. Keeping busy. Cat gets stuck in a tree, grandma needs help crossing the road. You know, I'm there." Darragh joked. "â Sure. Yeah." Darragh and Haley weren't even having dinner together, so Darragh wouldn't hazard to guess how mentioning the invitation would go over. They didn't talk, didn't even discuss the fact that they existed around one another in the same home. He knew she wouldn't put on a brave face, and he didn't expect her to. "Haley is working nights nowadays, actually." He suggested, squinting ever so slightly as he did. "You might be able to track her down for a late lunch, or something."

"I am homesick for a place I am not sure exists anymore. One where my heart if full. My body loved. And my soul understood.â
HALEY MCGREGOR
Age: 35 Gender and pronouns: Female, SHe/Her Occupation: Midwife Neighborhood: Manayunk
BIOGRAPHY
tw: miscarriage, infidelity
Haley McGregor has lived a privileged life and she knows it. Sheâs been afforded the best education, by doting parents who care about the world, and their state. Their hometown. Jason and Amelia Norris made sure that Haley, and her younger brother, were exposed to art and music, history and culture. They always had big dreams for their children and Haley strived to appease her parents. For the most part, they coexisted, perhaps a little distant from one another. It wasnât until well into adulthood that she actually started to notice the cracks, the fragile rifts that only served to strain their relationship further. Haley carried the weight of their expectation silently, trying to please them but never really taking anything for herself.
Given their dynamic, it was no surprise that her father and mother, a former lawyer and current state senator and a philanthropic advisor supported Haley through school. They pressured her into medicine, but while the pair tried their best to guide their only daughter into a surgical residency, she fell in love with nurse-midwifery, finding a passion for affordable and accessible womenâs healthcare. Shortly after graduation, she accepted a position at UPenn and has been there ever since, dedicating herself to the program while also working at a local clinic that serves the impoverished community once a week.
Work-life balance didnât exist. In truth, there was little that could drag Haleyâs attention from her job. She had a long-term boyfriend who had been there since college. Her parents loved him, and soon marriage became a regular topic of conversation at weekly family dinners. No one understood why she skirted the subject. Her hesitancy, combined with her dedication to her career, eventually placed too heavy a burden on the relationship. And while neither said as much, they knew it was over. And then she met Darragh. His charm came easy, captivating her almost instantly. He was genuineâ real and nothing like the pretentious, arrogant men to which she was accustomed. Weeks followed their first meeting where nothing, save for harmless flirting, happened. But, it was then that Haley officially ended things with her boyfriend.
Newly single, she told herself that she just wanted to have fun. Try new things. Date without the prospect of marriage hanging over her head. Perhaps it was her initial inclination to keep things casual between her and Darragh that allowed her to be unapologetically herself for once. And thatâ it was a heady feeling. Addictive in its own right, and maybe it was that choice to share all of herself with him, for him to so readily accept all of her, that⊠well, it was almost effortless, if not a little reckless, the way she fell in love with him.
They became inseparable, the very definition of a whirlwind romance existing within a bubble of their own making. It wasnât long, however, until reality came crashing down in the form of a positive pregnancy test. She had been scared. Terrified, really, when she told him. But, he had simply wrapped his arms around her, pressing his lips against her forehead as he promised they would figure it out.
And they did.
There was no wedding, but instead a quick appointment at city hall, and just like thatâ she was Mrs. Darragh McGregor. When her parents found out the following week, she had never heard her father yell so loudly, his distaste palpable in the confines of his study. Her mother had scoffed. Neither of them thought he was good enough for her. But, Haley was resolute. She had chosen Darragh. She wanted this, wanted him.
Their marriage, while still new, was easy.
But then, she lost the baby.
Science told her that it wasnât her fault. As a midwife, she knew that. Butâ Her heart had grown the minute sheâd seen that test and now there was just empty space there, waiting for what was no longer coming. She blamed herself. Blamed her body, falling into a depression that felt like suffocation. She was envious of her patients, unable to share in their joy, and just so⊠angry. She took a leave of absence from work.
Meanwhile, in the wake of their loss, her marriage became something unrecognizable. Their first test had come and neither knew how to handle it. To be there for each other. Haley retreated into herself, walking on eggshells in Darraghâs presence, feeling as though she had failed him somehow. She didnât have the right words for him, didnât know how to comfort him when she was falling apart herself, and their relationship began to crumble under the weight.
But months passed and grief began to wane. Haley resurfaced. For the first time in months, she put her thoughts into words, sitting down with Darragh and telling him everything she felt. She still wanted this. Him. Their marriage. She was willing to work for it if he was. And she thought maybe that would be enough. And maybe it would have been if not for what came next.
The confession that he had slept with someone else was jarring. So far removed from what she thought possible that she almost didnât believe him when he said it. But, there he sat, words falling from his lips, as her heart broke all over again when it had barely made it through before. This wasnât how it was supposed to happen. None of it. They were supposed to be happy. Parents. Madly in love with one another. And Haley did love him. She did. But, what had started as a conversation about trying, quickly resulted in Haley moving out of their room and into the guest room. Now sheâs more lost than ever as she tries to figure out how to pick up the pieces of her life, decide if she wants to fight for her marriage, or accept that maybe itâs best to just let it go and move on.
