okay so .. im rewatching twd but i don't really remember all too well the exact spoilers of things. and i was looking up the governor bc i thought that i remembered something kinda fucked up about him (not sure still if it's true or just general context clues/subtext), so i looked it up to check. and instead got reminded about someone he kills GOD. i hate this i feel like icarus

“I see you have voluntarily stepped in and saved dear Lilith.” The Creator stands before Sir Pentious, he is tall, his power is radiating and almost suffocating. Hands were behind his back and he steps forward. “You were not permitted to do so. You have broken the rules, my word, and gone against my say to save the Demon Queen from death. Risking your new status as a winner in the process…”

The Creator stares down at the snake winner, his four eyes in slits, the grin upon his features growing wider and wider as he spoke. “You are the very first product of my grand machine and yet your alliance remains with Hell. You do understand how that makes me feel, yes? I have a gift for you.”

A moments pause then his hands move out from his back, held up to reveal…. A basket. Full of eggs. “For you dear, I believe you had lost them when dear Adam blew up your ship. Congratulations my dear boy, you’ve shown unity and that does not go without reward. Take them. They’re all there.”

Pentious doesn't know where he finds the strength to keep standing up as he is surprised by the almighty himself. The hop through dimensions and the critical amount of magic used to save the queen had rendered him so weak that he could have collapsed and fallen asleep on the spot.

But instead, he forces his posture straight and stares at his maker in the eyes.

He is terrified. But he has met dangerous sights with dignity before. He is angry. He wants to stomp his tail, demand to know what is going on, ask why the deity reprimands him for answering a cry for help. He wants to oppose him and argue that he is a man of his own creation, lived, died and reborn through his own efforts. But he can't.

Not when he is met with the sight of his formerly perished minions.

His heart skips a beat, skips several, and he smiles instead, reassuringly, silently telling his beloved creatures that he will get them in a moment. More for their sake than his own. If this is merely a test or some sort of lesson... or some kind of revenge, he doesn't want the eggs to know it. If Father dearest has summoned them only to destroy them again, Pentious doesn't want them to know it's coming. He only wants them to smile their stupid, dimwitted smiles until the very end.

He loved the boys more than he feared Heaven.

And so, he obediently slithers forward to accept the basket with tremoring arms.

"Thank you," he whispers, careful not to break any shells as he takes the offering.

I had hopped out the car walking around a bit. I was probably about 8 meters away? It was a pretty young bear, still a cub. Let's just call them Megumi. I think we were both that spiderman meme of wtf. But Megumi was also grunting and snorting and I was like oh shiet. And basically backed my way to the car slowly, while they walked their way. No aggression, just confusion lol, but let's be real I was more scared of the ma Toji that I couldn't see. They were probably just in the midst of road/meadow crossing and I was intruding 😂 no i do not have a picture despite the camera around my neck at the time

The elder Uchiha swallowed thickly, it was no use denying what she just saw. Sarada is young but she is far from being dumb or slow. A heavy sigh escaped him and he waved her over to himself, closing his eye for a second. "No, no I haven't placed you in a Genjts, rather I used one on myself to ensure no one sees it. I am sorry you had to see that." He stopped briefly, before he just pulled her into a hug.

"I highly suspect that it does. To me it seems more like a targeted attack than an ambush by chance... But I promise you, they won't survive for long if they as much as lay a hand on you. We'll continue that training and you'll be able to hold them off until backup comes or you create an opening for you to flee. Your mother and I we... We didn't want you to get in panic so you can focus on training better. " Sadness came over him as he just remembered how the Uchiha had been a target of eyestealing when he was younger. Remembering how he witnessed one of his clan-members brutally becoming victim in front of his very eyes... Imagining how he himself also almost fell victim back then, if it wasn't for backup arriving to help the older Uchiha... Kagami was four back then and it was something that would never leave his memory.

"We will get through this together... Just promise me to keep that for yourself for now until Hikaku makes an official announcement, alright?"

Hikaku, on whom a lot of eyes were fixed now, worried, filled with empathy while the clan head himself just stared ahead. Sasuke nodded briefly to Sakuras question "We were able to bring his body back to the village.. There was nothing I could've done anymore, I am sorry." But it seemed that for the moment, all words just were a dull sound in Hikakus ears. Pain was ingrained in his usually calm onyx eyes, circling through memories of his beloved lost son.. It couldn't be true, he can't just simply be gone like that. . right?

Her touch brought him out of his initial shock and he looked up at her, tears already finding their way down even though he tried hard to keep his composure. "No... No.. not my son.." And yet yes, no matter how much he tried to deny that this was reality, he had to accept that it was. The Uchihas gaze slowly wandered down to the ground, nothing being left from the ferocious fighter that just moments before had a presence that took over the whole room. All he felt was small and.. somewhat empty. He felt how something so important had been ripped from him... And he was afraid to know what exactly had happened, how much pain Akaya probably had to endure before they finally showed enough mercy to end his life.

"Akaya will be receiving all the respect and honor that he deserves... I-.. I am so sorry, Hikaku-Sama." Naruto now was calm, trying to keep down the anger rising up in him. "But that also means that we won't be holding back as soon as we have specific information about who is behind all this. They will pay, one way or another, they attack our people, kidnap and murder them... That won't go unpunished, more so when the other villages also known of this. " Looking up to Shikamaru, everyone in the room could hear how serious he was. "Send letters to each Kage, I want them to know what is going on and if one of them is behind them, I want that one to know that we know what is going on. I am certain we will have the support from our true allies, because I am sure they also don't want a war to break out. "

"... They will pay in blood.." Hikakus voice was hollow, but each syllable laced with a promise, that it could easily send a chill down everyone's spine.

Encrypted scrolls? That was pretty neglecient to send genim out for a something dangerous like that. Either they wanted be especially sure or they absolutely miscalculated the risk.

It’s usually Jonin that get those missions and even then, they choose carefully and precisely who is really fitting. “That sounds rather planned through, if I am honest…"  And that is even more concerning, more so after hearing all of it. But he softly placed his hand on her shoulder, encouraging her with a smile. “Don’t be embarrassed, Sarada-chan. You handled yourself good, otherwise you wouldn’t be here anymore. ”

Even while still eating, more and more questions popped up in his head. Was there someone out to harm the village as a whole? Was it a plan form one if the other villages? What would there be done about that?

There is just so much he needs to know and the Hokage is gonna have to answer a lot.

The way to Kokohomaru was silent, Kagami more caught in his own thoughts and questions before they arrived.

Saradas Sensei was just mildly bussing himself with some planning, nibbling on his lip as he concentrated on the details for the mission, since the person they are supposed to escort is … Rather spoiled. But he looked up immediately as the three approached him and he smiled at them.

“Sakura-san, Kagami-kun, Sarada-chan! Is there something I can help you with? We need to be quick though, we have to prepare for the mission soon.” Setting his papers aside he gave all of his attention to the trio, waiting for the first one to speak.

Sakura took her time before responding to the greeting. She didn’t want to cause a scene nor snap at Naruto’s former student. Like her, Konohamaru is a shinobi, too. Somebody whose directive is to obey orders. And if he raised the question when the mission was handed to him, that should be enough. Except that now it isn’t. Because Sarada’s life was suddenly put in danger.

“Konohamaru-kun,” Sakura started, keeping her emotions in check, “I don’t want to keep you for long. It’s just that, I want to know whether this mission you have tonight - I want to know the details. Everything. Because you see,” Sakura paused for a minute to choose her words. She doesn’t want to intimidate him or give an impression she is asking for special treatment for her daughter. It is just that, she can’t shake the hunch Sarada is a target.

“Sarada told us earlier what really happened on her last mission. Everything about it. While I was not too pleased why that mission was given to a bunch of genins, I respect that you enquired on this before setting out. Sarada is in fact requesting to be excused and train under Kagami-san instead, to strengthen her control over the sharingan. But I told her I would like to have a word with you first.”
