@darkesthourstarters Location: Brooklyn Bridge Park Time: 10:30 PM
The draw of the lights had brought his feet to the park that night. Something new to look at the journal with, as if he’d find something new in the pages that’d he read thousands of times before. He’d been in New York for a few months now and he’d still barely went anywhere outside his apartment and the new clinic. He’d lied to himself and said that it was because the clinic was just so busy. First it was the paperwork, then it was getting everything installed, then it was hiring and training the staff. But the clinic was open and running smoothly, and here he was reading the same journal he’d clung to for years, looking for answers that were surrounding him and untouchable.
Just as he flipped the page, he felt a cold spray of water splash against his back. Not a small splash, not a sprinkle, but a full spray. He looked down at the page now soaked with water... no not water. Wrong color. Coffee? Pop? Joseph immediately jumped up from where he was sitting, looking around frantically. “Napkins? Does anyone have napkins? Or a.. cloth? Anything?”

Open to: All @darkesthourstarters Time: Early Morning Location: Eleanor’s Bistro & Patisserie
Nervous teeth gnawed on a worried lip. The line between Bea’s brows grew deeper and deeper as she contemplated the choice before her, a hard one, especially this early in the morning. She clacked the tongs in her hand together in anticipation as she mulled over the options in front of her. There was a sigh from the person beside her, “I’m trying, okay, this is a difficult decision!” The decision in question was a tray of cheese danishes... and another full of plum cheese danishes. “Can you just-- go around me? I need some time.”

“Okay, I definitely see the appeal in this,” A bright smile broke across Leyla’s lips as she offered the mallet in hand out to the other. After nearly dying during the Valentine’s Day Singles Weekend, the fae was ready to let off some steam and do something fun for a change and what better way to do that than to go to a Rage Room. “You’re up! So, what should we smash next?”

Brycen wasn't much of a baker, or really a cook for that matter. He had tried so many times to cook things and always either burnt it or set something on fire. The wolf usually left that to his husband, or to Eliot. It was hard enough to try and bake things but he attempted to bake cookies but he was a little worried they weren’t that good. Picking one up he tasted it, “Okay tell me these aren’t as bad as I think they are or that I’m just terrible when it comes to baking?

where: neon nights, brooklyn when: early evening who: open @darkesthourstarters
Drinking had ceased to have an effect right around the time Matthias had been changed. Still, old habits died hard, which was why he’d found himself seated at the bar nursing some sort of concoction that the bartender had advertised as a new brew. He wasn’t much interested in what it was or what it was supposed to taste like; he simply sat here for the ambience. Matthias had learned early in his life that the quickest way to get to know one’s surroundings was to find the local watering hole. There was the added benefit of drawing more inspiration for Sinner. “Oh please, don’t let me interrupt this eventful evening,” he said, gaze drifting up from the glass he held.

"Okay but hear me out first before you start judging my crazy ideas" Lennox nodded looking over at the person who was sitting across from her. “I was thinking that I should plan like this field trip or something. but like have some sort of scavenger hunt attached to it. Like all the kids have a list of things they need to find and the first team to find it wins a prize?” the witch chuckled a little bit thinking about it. “Do you think twelve year olds would be into that or is that too old for their liking?”

Who: @darkesthourstarters
When: Mid day
Where: New York Fire House in Brooklyn
"If you came here to look for hot fire fighters, I hate to be the barer of bad news, but most of them left about half hour ago on a call and won't be back for some time.” Bennett admitted looking at the person who was standing in front of him. “And before you ask why I myself a handsome firefighter didn’t go with them, it’s because my shift is over in like ten minutes and I'm responsible for cleaning up the house.” he hated that he didn’t get to go on this call, but he was still a bit new to this firehouse so he was still trying to make his way up the ladder. The last place he was at he was at the top, mostly anyways, he had spent the last six years at a different firehouse in Brooklyn but had gotten transferred to this one to due to them losing a member and being the new guy was never fun.

It was a rare day with no class until later on in the afternoon, and she had taken advantage of the free time in the burgeoning spring sunshine that signalled the oncoming summer, something that she was desperately excited for. She was ready for summer more than she would let on, and she smiled to herself as she sat on the grass with her back against the tree trunk, her book laying open on her lap as her eyes scanned the page. Finishing another chapter she touch a break, leaning back and letting some of the rays hit her face. “I’m so ready for summer.” she said to no one in particular.

Maddox couldn't stop pacing back and forth, his heart was racing at the idea that he’d even be considered as a detective. He had been a cop for so long that he was still surprised people even bothered to ask him. But the last case they had was a rough one and he had just about closed the case, when he got off the phone with his boss. “I appreciate the offer and I’m more the willing Sir,” he replied into his phone, unaware of who was around, “But are you certain I’m the right person for the job?” he continued into his phone, “Absolutely Sir, I understand Sir. Thank you,” he hung up his phone and turned to the person next to him. “I honestly don’t know if I should be terrified or happy right now at getting offered a better job.”

Besides food, there were two things that could not miss on a picnic, and it was his guitar and a flower crown, it just wasn’t the same for him when those two things weren’t present, so of course that every time he made a picnic, he had both of them. He loved to stay under a tree sat down, with flowers on his head, while he jammed a song on his guitar. He always had an extra flower crown in case someone joined him, which happened before. After eating his lunch, he rested his back on a tree, and started to play a song, he closed his eyes for a second, before he felt someone’s presence, and opened them once again, but didn’t stop playing, “If you want the flower crown, you can go ahead and take it,” the extra one was on the picnic towel, ready for anyone that wanted it to take it.

Where: Speed to my Heart Open to: All
This was so incredibly out of Joseph’s wheelhouse. He had felt complete awe stepping into the mansion and it was a feeling that had never gone away. Not to help how underdressed he felt. Everybody was walking around looking absolutely stunning, and he was pretty sure he had shaving cream on the sleeve of his shirt that he couldn’t get at.
Joseph rolled up his sleeves, hoping to look a bit better than what he had. He’d gotten a drink from the bar and settled into his seat, preparing for the first individual to sit down.

Closed for: @swearonstars (Kai St. Clair)
Time: Late Night to Early Morning
Location: A Dream (No, Literally.)
Awareness came to Bea with her first breath. She couldn't tell you what her morning was like or even what had happened in the moment before she took that breath, all she knew was that she was existing, now. She blinked, and the movement was slow, as though she were suspended in thick molasses, but as soon as the thought crossed her mind, time sped up to meet her expectations. She shook her head to clear it. Something was off but she couldn't tell quite what. Instinctively she turned to gather her wits, hearing her mother's voice in her ear, be aware of your surroundings, always. Never let your guard down, you never know when someone will want strike you down. Her heart sped up, but as she took in the scene around her, the seemingly blank smokey space started to clear, details began to fill as her heart pounded in her chest. Was it now? Had she been taken, to be tortured as her mother had warned her against?
And then she saw a familiar face in the near distance, and her heart seemed to slow as the details of his face began to solidify. "Kai? What is this? Where are we?" She moved to reach out to him and found herself beside him in an instant, as though she flew right through the mind-bending space. "I don't- something is happening, isn't it?"

“And here I thought this hiding spot was fairly hidden,” Devin teased. A soft smiling dancing across her lips at the faint sound of footsteps approaching from behind. The melodic beat of the dance floor filling the air the second the door to the hotel where the masquerade ball her sister and Kenan had put on for her was flung open.
The birthday girl had only stepped out for a moment. Just enough to catch her breath and soak it all in. Five hundred and twelve years. The once witch had never wanted to or could have possibly dreamed of making it this long and yet, here she was. Her rosy cheeks hidden behind a diamond encrusted mask as she basked in the fresh winter chill of the air.

for: OPEN ( @darkesthourstarters ) when: after final release location: rosefell castle
Reunions and sentiments. He’d scoff at the silliness of it had it not been for the shit storm they had to face. It was beyond sick, this battle. The reasoning still hadn't made sense to Ken but who had time to think on such things when the doors finally opened and reinforcement stepped in. A little too late, but at least there was only one death.
Blinking to adjust to the light outside, Ken, using his final dregs of strength, carried a bloodied and badly injured Ruairi out and placed him gently on the stretcher and hoped the man would be alright. Swatting away the medics that began checking him, Ken staggered out of their reach with a scowl. Idiots. There were others that needed help more. He'd been fine. He was fine. He crashed into a tree and fell down. Laughter broke through in bubbles of relief, of disbelief, of finally being released from what honestly was a nightmare scene. But as a shadow moved around him, Ken shot up immediately, senses on alert as if it wasn’t over, only to fall back down at a similar speed a second later clutching his side, “Fuckk.”

It had been one of the longest shifts Brycen had had in a while and personally the only thought he had in his head at that moment was to make it home and crawl into bed. Some shifts were better then others, that was to be expected when you joined as a paramedic, you win some and you lose some. But today was just a bad day, it was filled with false calls and some really bad ones; and on a day like today, Brycen just felt like nothing could get any worse. The wolf was walking through the park, he decided against driving home today as he needed the air, slipping his headphones into his ears he got lost in the music. There was always something about the music that always made him slip into something else. Lost in his own mind, Brycen wasn’t paying attention when he collided with someone. “Shit,” he muttered under his breath shaking himself off. “Are you hurt? Did I hurt you?” he questioned at the stranger in front of him. “I know CPR.”

who: open to vampires when: june 24th, night of the full moon where: the sinner
After the lull in activity of the last few days, throwing a full moon event had seemed like the only logical thing. The hunters were occupied, wolves and mermaids were consumed by their own suffering, and the banshees were hardly a threat. It seemed as good a night as any to attempt to increase foot traffic at The Sinner again. Still, celebration seemed to be a far fetched hope given the events of the passed few weeks and the way in which members of the supernatural world were still collectively holding their breaths. But that was hardly any reason to put a pause on living, Matthias decided. “First one’s on the house,” he announced, securing his own glass. “Then I expect all of you leeches to pay up.”
