The most unbelievable part of Tron Legacy is when Space Paranoids and the Tron arcade game are described as being "the two best selling video games in history". Don't get me wrong, Tron is a pretty fun arcade game, and so is the real-life version of Space Paranoids that was released to tie in with the film. But best selling game of all time? Does Legacy take place in a universe where Tetris and Super Mario Bros. doesn't exist? Did Alexey Pajitnov take one look at Space Paranoids and go "well, I can't compete with that" and put his Tetris idea on the shelf? Or did Kevin Flynn's experience in the digital world make him able to create some subtly hypnotic aspect that made his game appeal to every single human on Earth (shades of Polybius!)?
