Eggs

Hawks flew across the night sky, the light from the cities below twinkling like stars. He may have enjoyed such a flight, if not for one very big problem: Tokoyami Fumikage, also known as the heavy load he was lugging back to the U.A. dorms.

Hawks sighed. Of course, it wouldn’t take him long to deliver his intern back to the safety of the dorms — he was the fastest man alive. It was merely an inconvenience, and this situation really was his own fault.

Tokoyami was due to be back an hour ago, but there had been a sudden alarm of a semi-notorious villain who had been on the loose for two weeks. Hawks had thought it would be a good idea for Tokoyami to handle this one by himself and gain some experience, until the villain’s quirk hit the hero-in-training. Immediately, he started to stagger around aimlessly, and was in no condition to subdue the villain. Hawks stepped in, and in a few seconds, the situation was under control.

The quirk wasn’t very harmful — just caused the victim to act in the same manner of someone drunk. It usually wore off in ten minutes, according to various reports, but Tokoyami’a case had been different; it may have been because he was half bird. Hawks was slightly concerned, but he figured that U.A. was as good as a place could be, and he would get no where by worrying.

After explaining Tokoyami’s condition to Aizawa and telling him to allow the student to take a day off of internships tomorrow, Hawks left, feeling a little lighter yet heavier at the same time.

Aizawa led Tokoyami back to his room and laid him down to rest, while the rest of the class (excluding Bakugou cause the guy needs to sleep at eight) crowded around the two in curiosity and concern. Aizawa managed to get his students to stop buzzing around him like bees by assuring them that he would get Recovery Girl to check up on him if he wasn’t alright by tomorrow morning. Class A reluctantly accepted this offer as they went back to their respective rooms.

It was now three in the morning as Tokoyami groggily woke up. His throat felt impossibly dry, so he pulled himself out of the warm covers and trudged downstairs. Along the way, he bumped into the walls, some doors, a few plants, and almost fell down the stairs, but eventually the arduous journey to the kitchen was complete. However, his thirst would not be quenched for a while yet as he discovered some cartons of eggs in the refrigerator. For some reason, he felt a sort of connection to them, almost as if they were kin.

Suddenly, he started bawling. These eggs, oh these poor eggs...! They won’t ever get to hatch and explore the beautiful world! I should, no, I must help them.

And so he opened all of the cartons, took the eggs out, and cradled as many of them as he could fit into his arms and laid down next to all of the ones left over, while tears streamed down his face nonstop.

It’s not fair that you don’t get a chance to live, so let me help you, dear eggs.

Somehow the quirk also affected Dark Shadow, so it accompanied Tokoyami in his endeavors.

When he woke up in the morning, Tokoyami found himself on the floor in the kitchen, surrounded by crushed eggs and their remains. How odd, he thought, to be waking up in such a state. I wonder why my heart hurts so much; it’s almost as if it is yearning for these eggs...

Alas, not all stories have a happily ever after.

At this point I should clarify that when I say I kin Tokoyami I also mean dark shadow! I love how bratty they get when Tokoyami asks them to do something! They have such an attitude sometimes! I'm exactly like that! (it's a they right? Dark shadow doesn't have a gender, I think!)

So, besides Tokoyami and the lovely DS, I'd also say Tsuyu! She always says what comes to her mind (I have a hard time filtering what comes out of my mouth) and she's very observant! Also I can't forget how in the first season she said to Bakugou's face that he won't be a popular hero bc of his personality and when he got mad she was like "see?" She didn't even look at him while he was screaming! What a queen! 👸

i have a pattern with the kins i question but dont confirm, and thats that they are similar to my other lives. i was questioning from bnha and i was like maybe kirishima, or aoyama, or dark shadow? and kirishima was because shark teeth, aoyama was the loneliness, and dark shadow was the shapeshifting thing. turns out that i was suneater, and those other traits are from other source kins. idk its weird that ill recognize the traits and be like yes that trait is me but no that person isnt? idk....

Hey, Hawks here and I'd really like to find Miruko and my Tokoyami and I would also like to find Dark Shadow. Miruko was the only hero I was really friends with and we'd drink together fairly often and have fun laughing at the shinanigans we'd get into on the job that most people would give us a hard time for. Dark Shadow and Tokoyami were (Body horror tw) conjoined twins and I was pretty close to them both. I 'disappeared' and was eventually presumed dead. I'm 21+ so please no one under 18
